Creating self ship work is not a waste of time or talent. If it brings you joy it will never be a waste. It helps us explore our creativity and comfort us. For artists it helps expand your drawing skills. For writers it teaches you how to write for different characters. For both it teaches us how to explore different relationships and dynamics of characters we enjoy. And to those who just use self shipping for coping, you’re allowed to find comfort in something that distracts you from your everyday life. You’re allowed to do things just because you want to. And you don’t have to justify your decisions to anybody. Cultivate a life that brings you happiness. Our lives may not always turn out the way we want it to be and sometimes our creativity is our only outlet, and that’s okay, but it is still your life and you should make it as comfortable as possible for yourself. So please never stop creating things you love.

Have a ramble about my personal self indulgent Rick rambles (mostly headcanons and stuff tbh); this is quite long and probably ooc (excluding the headcanons), but I don't care! This is quite sensual and could be considered romantic, but you can take it however you'd like! :]

Rick is for sure the type of person to squeeze your shoulder; hard to put into words, but hear me out.

It's mainly during arguments, if you were bitching to Jerry about something off-hand, Rick would squeeze your shoulder in a sense of "calm down you won't get through to him" type of silent reasurrance.

He could also do the shoulder squeeze just in general, he drapes and pulls you close by your shoulders a lot.

I feel like he is also the type of man to flip-flop when it comes to touch; like most people probably do this, but Rick is very picky who can touch him and who can't. (It's the autism.)

You can lean on him and softly side-hug him, while Jerry or Morty couldn't. (Side hugging is very weird in my brain, there's personal autism. The side of the body is a very venerable place and my biggest headcanon that I keep forgetting isn't canon is that he hates his sides being touched. Side hugging is different; I'm projecting.) You can also ruffle his hair, which most others can't.

You and Morty are special, on his hierarchy he has in his Narcissistic brain of his. (I say this as someone wNPD, again most of the hcs is projection.) He finds both you and Morty someone to both impress and protect, it's hard because he tries to keep up a wall of "I don't give a fuck trust 🙏"

I have soooo many headcanons and small lil things he does that floats around my brain guh. Gonna list stim headcanons now:

Making mouth noises, literally anything. "Pfftph", blowing raspberries, whistling, anything.

Literally any of the "catchphrases" he says, "lick, lick, lick my balls!" being his favorite one

He groans and borderline screams often and without care if it freaks others out; he also probably jumps or shakes his head as he does it.

He chews his shirts and bites his nails; when his hair was longer he nibbled on his hair.

There's so many headcanons ahahaha >< i love this old fart sm i could infodump about him for hours!!

It is to be an established hashtag to share and create age regression content related to Sailor Moon.

After close to a decade of shying away and being kinda desperate for agere stuff of my special interest, I felt brave enough to create this blog for the purpose of breaching--er..bridging the gap.

Sailor Moon used to be marketed primarily towards children in its American market in the 90s, but you may or may not have known that its Japanese target demographic used to be children as well!! There’s a seemingly endless amount of cute little trinkets and merchandise that appeal to me, therefore I’ll be sharing some of it here, too.

Please be kinder to yourself with your self ships and self inserts. Please know that your creations of either drawings, writings or anything in between is precious. I know it can be scary to share and post sometimes. I know the fear of others finding your work cringy can be daunting. But what you create is beautiful. The fact alone that you see these fictional characters and want to be apart of their stories and share your love for them is a wonderful thing. No matter if it for fun or coping, your self ships are special. Your self inserts are a form of self love, embrace that feeling of being gentle with yourself when it comes to it. You don’t owe anyone a reason to why these characters are special to you, only that they bring you joy and comfort.

So… who’s King Barou™️ getting shipped with in the CO universe?

Me: lemme concoct backstories for fifteen other characters, then I'll get back to you

I wish I was joking 💀 but also I love getting these kind of questions, it lets me be indulgent about my AU! So thank you 💗

For context: I am writing a Kunigiri longfic set in 2033-34. This has involved making up fifteen years worth of post-canon life events for the principal cast. Barou doesn't feature prominently, but Kunigami recently revealed that he had a crush on the King back in their Blue Lock days.

Kunigami has moved on by now (like... reeeallly moved on), but Barou's still around, being his good ol' tsundy self. Does he have a partner? Well...

To figure this out, I had to remind myself who's actually on the national team with Barou and work through their dynamics. So...

Sixteen character backstories under the cut, eventually getting to your question.

The following characters have been named in Cassis Orange as being on the Japanese national team, in order of position/role:

Isagi (FW)

Rin (FW)

Shidou (FW)

Barou (FW)

Bachira (Wing)

Otoya (Wing)

Nagi (CAM)

Hiori (CAM)

Sae (CAM)

Karasu (CDF)

Sendou (CDF)

Aryu (FB)

Niko (CB)

Aiku (CB)

Gagamaru (GK)

Fukaku (GK)

This means that 2018 Blue Lock alumni occupy sixteen places in the squad (which should have 23-25 places). Probably two or three too many—ah well. I've alleged that some of the other squad members participated in the second Blue Lock program (which took place in... 2023, right around now lol). There's likely a few other older players from before Blue Lock's time, but it's really Isagi and friends' team.

Everybody knows team squads are synonymous with dating pools in Blue Lock. So, in considering who Barou might be shipped with, I had to think through where everyone was at in life, come January 2034, in my particular AU. Here's the lowdown:

Aiku (34) is currently working through his second divorce. He has a couple of kids. He remains good friends with his teammate Sendou (33), who plays for a Japanese club normally and does a lot of promotional work with sportwear companies.

Karasu (33), Otoya (32) and Shidou (33) represent something of a clique within the squad. The three play for French clubs, alongside Rin (31), who resents being mentioned in the same paragraph as them. Everyone but Otoya is outwardly single, as far as the media knows. Otoya dates influencers and idols.

Because Rin's home club is in France, he doesn't care to rent or purchase a place in Japan. Hiori (32), a long-time friend and Tokyo resident, agreed to let him stay at his apartment for the duration of the tournament. Hiori is single, and streams part-time. Players enjoy the juxtaposition between his gentle personality and the violent games he plays. He plays for the Kawasaki Breakers.

Sae (33) is based in the UK. He has won the Ballon D'Or twice. Although there's been speculation about the nature of his long-term friendship with Shidou, he refuses to speak about his personal life to the press.

Isagi (32) has lead his home club (Bastard Munchen) to victory in the Champions League twice, and he is widely regarded as one of the finest players of his generation. This World Cup will be the third he's contested, and his first as captain. He has stated publicly that third time's the charm. He is openly single, based in Munich. He started a charity to promote football in developing countries in 2027.

Bachira (32) has played for mostly Spanish clubs over the years. He's an advocate for youth football and does outreach work in schools both in Japan and Spain. He has auctioned his own artworks for charity. Not much is know about his personal life, despite his outgoing personality.

Nagi (32) was the face of Japanese football for the 2030 World Cup, in association with Reo (32). The two of them were inseparable following their days in Blue Lock, choosing to play at the same or neighbouring clubs throughout their careers. However, due to his father's untimely death, Reo stepped down from football two years previously. Since then, Nagi has been media shy. Despite his relative youth, there are rumours circulating that he intends to retire soon.

Niko (31) is a formidable centre-back who (with Aiku) forms the iron defence of the Japanese team. He's open about his neurodivergence and advocates for the inclusion of kids like himself in sports. It's understood he has a partner living in England, where he's based.

Fukaku (34) plays for a Japanese team, and has indicated his intention to retire after the 2034 World Cup tournament. As for Gagamaru (33), the man known as the world's best goalkeeper is notoriously reclusive. He is picky about what clubs he plays for, prioritising proximity to nature and the mountains over salary offers. As a result, he's mostly played for German clubs. Nothing is known about his relationship status.

FInally...

That leaves Barou (33) and Aryu (34). The duo play for Fiorentina. It's reported that the two share a villa together in the city's outskirts. Aryu has dabbled in modelling and fashion for many years, and his self-titled brand is steadily growing in renown.

Aryu speaks of Barou as his glamorous partner... but he calls next to everything glamorous, leaving the media stumped.

Barou, meanwhile, refuses to entertain fluff piece journalists and has neglected to comment on his relationship with the towering wingback. There is no record of any public affection between them both. However, the two are certainly very close. Last year, they both began sporting matching black rings.

It takes the Fairy Tail guild a long time to really conceptualize that Natsu and Laxus are together (and it takes Laxus almost as long). Like it's not until they actually go to an event or on a mission with other people and Natsu has his head on Laxus' shoulder that people really think to themselves "oh wait that's actually real? I didn't imagine that?"

Laxus and Natsu both have to make adjustments to be stable as a couple. Laxus has to learn to see Natsu's boisterous antics and dumb moments and smile, and Natsu has to learn that Laxus is a lot more low-energy than he used to be these days. But they make it work remarkably well.

Natsu and Happy are a package deal, of course, and this part was a little awkward to manage. At least until they had a rainy day sleepover and Natsu looked over in the middle of the movie and found Laxus, big 6'3" powerhouse chad, snoozing in his chair with Happy curled up fast asleep in his lap. Once he was Happy-approved, Natsu knew Laxus was the one.

Laxus is the spending kind of boyfriend, okay? This is universal no matter who he's with. He isn't rich rich, but like Erza, he takes S-Class missions regularly and tends to have spare cash. Natsu is always pissy and sulks when Laxus won't take him on an S-Class mission, but it gets made up for when he comes back because Laxus' first priority is always taking him somewhere nice and letting him eat his fill.

Natsu is very physically affectionate and this matches up well with Laxus' tendencies when dating--there's always one arm around the other guy's shoulders, or one is sidled up leaned on the other, or one has his head in the other's lap. Laxus likes Natsu close enough that when he gets the urge, he can kiss him on the cheek just for his daily reminders that he loves him.

Laxus will stand by and let Natsu fight, even if it's against an opponent that could kill him, assured that Natsu will ask for help if he wants it, and otherwise only stepping in once it's clear he needs it. He understands that pride coursing through Natsu and Natsu, in turn, is assured he can't lose as long as Laxus is backing him up.

Laxus helps Natsu channel his feelings over Igneel leaving positively, mostly because it gets to him to see a kid in Natsu's position cling desperately to a father that's gone. Natsu is very unused to grief or anger at loved ones, and these are present even if he doesn't let them show.

Natsu adores Laxus, okay, and you would never know these two once fought to the near-death the way he smiles as soon as Laxus enters the room. Likewise, Natsu's smile is something that makes Laxus' heart beat faster and he does anything he can to see it on his face.

4. spooning or one person laying their head on the other's chest?

Sukuna: When we go to sleep Sukuna hugs me from behind, but most of the time we move in our sleep, and I wake up with my head on Sukuna's chest, snuggled against his side, and his arms wrapped around me 💗

Yuuji: Spooning all night. Usually, Yuuji is the big spoon and snuggles comfortably against my back. And once he is asleep, he doesn't move and nothing can wake him, so I can't move either with those strong arms holding me so tightly ;)

Sukuita: Spooning. Most of the time, Sukuna is the big spoon, and Yuuji is the little spoon because Sukuna loves to be the one in control and take care of his boyfriend. And a little bit of possessiveness plays a role, too ;) But sometimes, when Sukuna is having a bad day, the roles get reversed. Yuuji senses it when Sukuna is stressed, and no matter how often Kuna insists he is fine, Yuuji won't let him get away with it. And since he is very strong, too, he can adjust their sleeping position, so he is the big spoon. He hugs Sukuna tightly from behind, kisses his neck, and tells him, "It's ok, baby. I got you. You can let go. Let me take care of you tonight."

18. cuddle in bed or need their space to sleep?

Sukuna: Cuddle! Sukuna likes to act tough, but he is a cuddler when he is in love. He loves to wrap himself around me and hold me close, protecting me and taking care of me. And he also loves it when we sit on the couch, and he can lay his head in my lap while I pet his hair. He isn't used to tender touches and doesn't allow just anybody to try that on him because it takes a certain vulnerability to let someone see a softer side of him. But with me, he can let himself fall, and he learned that he really really loves to get cuddled and his hair petted and his face and neck kissed 💗

Yuuji: A very cute and clingy cuddler 💗 He is like a big, warm teddy bear, craving to be close to me and to snuggle really close. Yuuji is someone who is very affectionate and touchy-feely, and he kind of lacked all that in his childhood and teenage years, so he really makes up for it now and cuddles me all the time. We cuddle when we watch movies, we cuddle while Yuuji cooks, we cuddle in the subway, where I sit on his lap, lmao. And, of course, we cuddle in bed, and Yuuji doesn't let go of me the whole night.

Sukuita: Lots of cuddling!! Yuuji surprised Sukuna with just how cuddly he was. Always so eager to touch his man and make him feel loved and reassured. It changed Sukuna to have someone who treats him with genuine affection the way Yuuji does. And suddenly, it felt really natural to wrap his arms around Yuuiji during one of those cuddle attacks and pull him closer to get even more cuddles. And after all, Sukuna is pretty possessive of his brat, so he loves to have him so close. Yuuji was the best teacher when it came to teaching Sukuna how to love someone, and now Sukuna showers Yuuji with love too, always so protective and caring of him 💗

Wow okkk the spread started pretty with fun and positive vibe but at the end it kinda took a different turn. What I'm getting is that thus relationship with hokuto will be a lesson for you or your soul . It'll be challenging. I'm hearing arguments questioning someone's beliefs in back of my mind .
