SUMMARY: reader and blaise are partners in potions class and he lets something slip about a certain friend of his.
WARNINGS: none i think!
WORD COUNT: 1513
A/N: this is my entry for @simpology 's writing challenge with the prompt "Oh, and he's wretchedly in love with you"... hope this is good :)) the plot is kind of confusing but just go along with it
Tumblr media
"Do you have the instructions?" asked a nonchalant Blaise Zabini as he settled next to you, letting his bag fall down next to his chair.
"Of course, yes. We'll need-"
"I know, i've already picked everything." he said hurriedly as he placed several bottles and containers on the table, surrounding the boiling cauldron at the center of it.
"Oh! Ok... we can start then, we'll have to add-" you interrupted your reading as you noticed Blaise already pouring a non-specified quantity of some green liquid into the cauldron.
You eyed him curiously as he continued the potion-making on his own.
"Why did you ask me about the instructions if-" he raised his index finger in front of your face, successfully shutting you up and irritating you at the same time.
He poured another range of ingredients in the cauldron and began mixing, finally raising his eyes at you.
"Now we can talk about important things." he stated, not stopping his movements.
"You just interrupted me twice in the span of 5 minutes, what could be possibly more important than the potion that Snape is going to grade today?" you asked with annoyance audible in your voice as you crossed your arms in front of you.
"Don't worry about the potion, it's going splendid. We have far more important matters to discuss." his calm voice was doing nothing to soothe you, instead doing just the opposite.
"And what is that?"
"You." he announced, remaining as stoic as a statue.
Your eyes widened at the mere syllable that had just left his mouth.
"Me? And what about me?"
"Not exactly you, more like your current situation." his eyes bored into yours with such coolness you wondered whether you were the daft one there.
"My situation? And what-"
"Your sentimental situation." he cut you off. Again.
"It's the third time you do that."
"And you keep on posing questions but i'm the one that should be asking and we don't have a lot of time. Do you know Draco Malfoy?"
"What does that even mean?!" he raised an eyebrow at you, unimpressed, and you simply scoffed. "I'm not interested in whatever game you are playing right now, Zabini."
"Just answer my questions, y/l/n, i swear there is a point." he continued stirring the concoction, eventually dropping new ingredients. You sighed but decided to play his game.
"Yes, yes i know him."
"How would you describe him?"
"Zabini, i swear, this isn't making any sense, can you-"
"What did i say about asking questions?" he scolded you. You rolled your eyes and narrowed them at the boy in front of you.
"Fine. He's blond, tall-"
"Not physically, you idiot." he scoffed and you smiled to yourself, which made him eventually soften his gaze.
"He's a slytherin and..." you didn't know what to say. You obviously knew about his past actions, he wasn't exactly well-seen at hogwarts.
"And?" he asked expectantly.
"And i don't know, he's not the nicest person around, i think."
"Interesting." he muttered, almost to himself as he got lost in his own thoughts. "What do you think about me then?"
"You? You are like him, aren't you?" you asked, smirking as you did so.
"I don't know, i'm asking you." he said, returning the smile with playful eyes. You scoffed and returned to your potions book but Blaise snatched it our of your hands. "We were talking, weren't we?"
"We were supposed to brew a potion, weren't we?" you asked, mimicking his previous sentence while taking back your book.
"I got that under control." he added other ingredients and at this point you were wondering whether he knew what he was doing or whether he was improvising just to talk to you. "So, me and Draco are the same, correct?"
"Actually," you said while trying to find the passage in your book, "i hope he has half the patience i have or he should have hexed you ages ago."
You skimmed through the pages but you couldn't find the right ones. Blaise grasped it again and hid it behind his back, earning the most choleric stare you could muster.
"Or maybe i don't. I'd love to see him hex you. Know what? I might do it myself."
"Now that's a wonderful idea." your eyes widened again and, furrowing your eyebrows, you just stared at the boy i front of you, wondering what had happened to him. "But i had something else in mind. Why don't you go take your book back, we might need it."
You switched your gaze from his own eyes to his hands and noticed that he had no longer the book, instead his wand, pointed towards one of the other tables of the class. A table you noticed had two copies of the same book on it, meaning one had to be yours.
"What game are you playing, Zabini? Do you even know what you're doing there?" you asked, pointing to the concoction.
"I don't, so you better get your book back if you want to fix this." he said and you could feel anger boiling in your chest at the smugness of the slytherin.
You marched towards the table, exasperated.
"Oh, and y/n?" you turned around while walking, eyes still flaming with annoyance, "he's wretchedly in love with you."
You couldn't process the new cryptical information as you bumped into someone. You immediately returned your eyes to the front of you, finding a tall blond there, holding your book in between your bodies.
"Is this yours?" he lifted slightly the book but you were speechless. What had Blaise just said? "Cat got your tongue? I'm asking if this is yours..."
Your eyes darted from his to the book several times before settling on the latter.
"Yes! Yes, it is." you finally spoke and heard chuckling coming from behind you. Blaise.
Draco handed you the book and you took it slowly, still unsure of what your next move should have been.
"Wait!" you said, a little louder than you intended to but enough to catch his attention as he was returning to his own workplace. "Do you- uhm..."
He stared at you, waiting for you to finish your sentence but it was not as easy as it sounded.
"Do you want to switch partners?" you managed to let out, visibly confusing him.
"You want to be with Nott?"
"With you actually... Blaise said-"
"Blaise said what?" he suddenly got more serious, his irises darkening as if you had just created a storm.
"He said-"
"I said you are the best at potions and she needs help. Desperately." Blaise came up from behind you, laying his hands on your shoulder, still stiff from the embarrassment but it immediately vanished as you heard the voice, leaving its place to irritation.
"I do not need help and most certainly not desperately." you stated indignantly and the blond in front of you let out a small chuckle, earning himself an angry look from you too.
"I'll leave you to it then." he said smirking and you quickly grabbed his arm to prevent him from leaving you with Blaise.
"Please no, i can't bear another minute with him." you pleaded, which made the blond suppress a chuckle and his friend roll his eyes, clearly annoyed.
You stared at him for a moment longer as he did the same, almost as if time had frozen.
"Well... i'll leave you two to it" Blaise began to make his way to Draco's previous working table, "maybe you'll finally be able to tell her about your crush on her, huh?"
Draco's head whipped towards Blaise as fast as lightning, a panicked look ruling over his features. His best friend kept going, leaving the two of you alone, speechless.
You stared at him and he stared at you.
"I like you too-"
"He was kidding-"
"Oh." you both said in unison.
He stared at you and you stared at him. No more words were exchanged, just looks.
"You like me?" he asked tentatively.
"He was kidding?" you retorted, slightly hurt and embarrassed now.
"That depends."
"On what? On how ridiculous i must look right now?" you continued, the embarrassment turning quickly into annoyance.
"On whether you really like me or not." you were still unconvinced, his face unreadable as you tried to look for an ounce of sincerity in his silvery eyes, "Because i do like you, y/l/n."
Your brows still furrowed, you stared at him inquisitively.
"Were you the one kidding?" he asked now, suddenly self-conscious, letting out a single dry nervous chuckle.
You scrutinized him a little longer, noticing his confidence wavering and his patience thinning from the way he was looking at you.
"I wasn't." you finally stated, smirking at the blond boy in front of you.
He furrowed his brows too, the corners of his mouth hinting at a slight smile. But the sharp hit on both of your heads delivered by professor Snape made you both hurry back to your table.
"Get back to work."

Who Are You? | Katsuki Bakugou x Reader x Tamaki Amajiki
AN: This one’s... a roller coaster xD Pronouns used: She/her Length: 3.5k words
Summary: You see your husbands, Katsuki and Tamaki, die right in front of you but when you come home, you see them alive and well right there. Who are they?
Warnings: Poly (BakuTama) + You, blood, angst, light swearing
POST EDIT: No one said anything about the banner but I still deleted it <3 I don’t need it ^w^
Full Name: (y/f/n) Quirk: (y/q) (again there are examples of your quirk being used, but there's nothing specific so you can alter it to be yours) Age: 25 Hero Name: (h/n) Hero Rank: 5
"No!" (f/n) yelled as the villain repeatedly stabbed Katsuki's chest. The weakened blond only grunted in pain as the knife impaled his torso over and over again. The powerful villain smirked and threw Katsuki right at (f/n), who reached out and caught him, but fell to the ground with him, unable to continue standing. She turned him on his back, desperately trying to stop the bleeding, but there were just... so many stab wounds.
"Baby! N-no! K-keep your eyes open!" (f/n) cried, tears falling onto Katsuki's face. Her hero suit was now covered in his blood; some even getting onto her face as she pushed her hair out of the way. Her hands were shaking uncontrollably; she was shaking uncontrollably.
"(f-f/n)..." Katsuki breathed out, his bloody hand reaching up and weakly cupping her cheek. This wasn't happening. It wasn't real, it just wasn't.
"S-stay awake! FOR ME!" She yelled, watching as his eyes moved from hers and towards the dark ceiling. "Suki! B-baby! Stop! This isn't funny!" She yelled, sobs escaping her lips. She'd never felt so vulnerable before, except when she was watching her husband die in front of her eyes. Her eyes widened as she watched the light leave his beautiful ruby eyes. She wailed, hugging his body closer, finding any solace in the now cold body. Was he always so cold? No... his quirk... it made him warmer. "C-come back! D-don't leave me... I-I-"
"Don't forget this one." The villain called, holding up a weakened Tamaki by his hair. He grunted, blood spilling down his mouth. (f/n) placed Katsuki down and stood up, slowly inching closer to the two.
"P-please don't! H-He's my ev-everything... do-don't take him away too." She sobbed, making the tall, merciless villain smirk.
"Then beg!" He demanded and without hesitation, (f/n) fell to her knees.
"Please. I'm begging... don't do this." The villain laughed, but (f/n) didn't care, she needed Tamaki alive. He was everything she had left now and so it didn't matter what she did, it didn't matter who saw what, she just... needed Tamaki alive.
"Ah, you're cuter on your knees. But no can do." (f/n)'s eyes widened as the villain grabbed Tamaki's head and twisted it, a sickening crack ringing through the silence. (f/n)'s heart stopped, and she couldn't breathe.
"N-no..." She muttered, standing up to run to the villain, but he had other plans. He threw Tamaki's corpse at (f/n), causing him to collide with her and fall back onto the ground. He was heavy. Quickly scrambling up, (f/n) grabbed Tamaki's head, which limply laid in her arms. His eyes were open... with no sign of life. Anger burned in her chest and she could feel herself coming apart. They weren't gone, no they were just sleeping. They were tired and they needed rest. But (f/n) still needed to handle the villain... right?
Blood for blood.
No.
No.
No.
Tamaki and Katsuki would never approve of something like that. How dare she even think of that?! Tears rolled down (f/n)'s cheek as she hugged Tamaki's head, she was shaking again. Her face, suit, hands, everything was covered in blood. She begged every god out there to just let this be some nightmare. She'd wake up any second... because none of it was true.
Her quirk forced itself out, making her let out a loud scream she was holding back, shattering all the glass in the building and around the nearby buildings. Everyone felt the immense shock wave, as screams were heard outside, along with car alarms.
The burst was strong enough to push the villain back, slamming him into the wall, knocking him out immediately. (f/n) stood up, tiredly pulling Tamaki's corpse towards Katsuki's, where she sat down and just sobbed.
~**~
(f/n) stumbled into her house, shutting the door behind her and locking it. She leaned against the wood, slowly sliding down. She covered her mouth with her shaky, bloody hand as the realization hit her.
They were gone.
No more hugs, no more late-night cuddles, talks, no tickle fights, no competition to see who could make Tamaki blush the most, no more nights were the three cooked a meal together, no more giving Tamaki food and having him guess the mystery ingredients, none of that. Everything all taken one in one night... because she was too slow.
(f/n) failed to save them. They were supposed to have each other's backs, they were supposed to take care of each other... so how did this happen? They weren't... even supposed to be there tonight. Her eyes traveled to the picture frame on the wall and a sob left her lips.
It was a picture of Katsuki and Tamaki at the amusement park. The three had gone together and they took so many pictures that day, it was truly one of the best days of their lives. In the picture, Katsuki stood next to Tamaki with his arm around the dark-haired male, who was blushing with an ice cream in his hand. However, they both had bright smiles on their faces as (f/n) took the picture. She remembered that day vividly... realizing she'd never have another memory like that again.
Something snapped inside of the woman, anger flowed through her veins and her hands flew to her hair. Her eyes shut tight and she could feel her quirk starting to overload in her body. She began to hit her head, pulling at her hair and let out an ear-piercing scream. Her quirk was starting to build up pressure around her again and she was slowly losing her grip on it.
Both Tamaki and Katsuki awoke with a terrifying start. Instinctively, Katsuki pulled Tamaki into him, pointing his other hand towards the door. Since Tamaki's quirk wasn't very useful at the moment, he needed to rely on Katsuki. However, after a few seconds, they realized the screaming was coming from the living room.
"Th-that's Bunny!" Tamaki yelled, making both of them frantically get out of bed and run towards the source of the screams. Their eyes widened at the sight of their wife on the floor, crying, hitting her head, and covered in blood. Lots of blood.
"Baby!"
"Bunny!" Both of them ran to her, grabbing her hands in an attempt to stop her from hurting herself. They tried to shush and talk to her, but her screams were just so loud. Katsuki covered her mouth as Tamaki tried to get her attention.
"(f/n)! I-It's ok!" Tamaki was scared, he was shaking. He'd never seen (f/n) like this, never. Aside from her breakdown, she was covered in blood. All on a patrol?
"(f/n)!" Katsuki yelled. The two leaned in closer, holding her, having no other way to stop her. The second their scents filled her nose, she stopped screaming, or even struggling. She opened her eyes, fear laced in her stare, as she felt them whispering in her ear. She wasn't able to keep up, however, their words just seemed to blur, like everything around her.
This wasn't real. It was a trick. They died, Katsuki died in her arms, and she watched the villain snap Tamaki's neck.
The fear in her eyes morphed into anger. How dare anyone impersonate them? In front of her? Her hands moved, her fingers enclosed around their neck as panic crossed their faces as (f/n) used her quirk. She threw them both into the wall behind them and before they could recover, she was in front of them. Her hand was at their throats and she was starting to squeeze.
"Who are you?!" She demanded.
"Bunny!" Tamaki choked out, both he and Katsuki grabbed her hand in an attempt to loosen her grip from their throats.
"Don't call me that!" She spat. "Who are you?! How dare you impersonate them?! I'll kill you! I'll splatter your blood on these walls!" Katsuki had no choice, as much as he didn't want to, he quickly pressed his hand onto her chest, letting an explosion go off.
(f/n) screamed as she let go, giving Katsuki and Tamaki a chance to escape. However, the latter had frozen up, making the blond grab his hand and run with him. They both ran upstairs, running into the master bedroom and shutting the door, with Katsuki locking it.
"Wh-what's wrong with her?" Tamaki asked, falling to his knees. Katsuki ran to his side, wrapping his arms around his frightened husband. "Wh-why? Splatter... our blood on the walls."
"It'll be ok, something must've happened on her patrol tonight," Katsuki muttered. Tamaki's shaking hand reached up to touch Katsuki's arm. His grip tightened when they heard banging on the door. Both of their grips tightened as they flinched at the violent sounds.
"I'll tear you apart!" They heard. "You took them from me! You took away everything I had! Now I'm gonna take your lives!" They winced at the loud crash and banging on the door. "I'LL KILL YOU THE SAME WAY YOU KILLED MY GROUND ZERO AND SUNEATER!"
Their home was reinforced against most all quirks, so their doors and windows couldn't be destroyed easily. That's why (f/n) couldn't get in, especially for cases like this. Since the woman couldn't get in, all she could do was hit the door.
Both Katsuki and Tamaki were starting to piece things together. There must've been a villain attack during her patrol and she clearly thought something happened to them both.
"W-wait... sh-she thinks w-we're dead?" Tamaki stuttered.
"What? Babe! W-we didn't die! We're still alive!" Katsuki yelled through the door. For a moment, the clatter stopped, giving Tamaki a chance to speak.
"Bunny! We're r-right here... it's us." Silence. They heard a soft sob, but it was quickly followed by a growl.
"Shut up!" She kicked the door. "I-I saw them! I saw their dead bodies! I saw them die!"
"We're right here, dumbass!" Katsuki yelled, making her scream and slam her hands on the door again.
"Open the door, you bastards! I'll tear you apart! OPEN! THE! DOORS!" (f/n) yelled, punching the door, repeatedly. Tamaki covered his ears, feeling the world start closing in on him. She was scary! She was so fucking scary. Katsuki held him tighter, as he tried to comfort the male over the incoherent screaming.
"It'll be ok, Tama," The blond rubbed his arms, making Tamaki whimper as tears slipped out of his eyes. "Shh, don't cry baby." (f/n) was only making it worse, but there was nothing Katsuki could do. Except go out there and fight her. He'd lose, though. (f/n) was stronger than him, she'd worked so hard to strengthen and control her quirk, it was amazing, when she wasn't coming after you. With the rage and fury she had, she'd for sure kill him. Katsuki pressed his hands onto Tamaki's trying his best to muffle his own voice. "SHUT UP, (F/N)! YOU'RE MAKING TAMAKI CRY!"
"Come out here, cowards! I'll give you both something to cry about! OPEN THE DOOR!'"
"B-Bunny wants to k-kill us?"
"No," Katsuki said, "She's... she's just confused." The blond held his husband close while their wife banged on the door, repeatedly.
(f/n)'s vision blurred, her chest burned and her hands stung from all the attacks on the door. Her hands came to a slow stop as she let out a sob, weakly hitting the door.
"Why are you villains so cruel? Y-you took away my everything." Her voice cracked as she took deep breaths, trying to calm herself. "Why?"
"We're right here, (n/n). It's us." Katsuki reassured, his arms still around Tamaki's shaking form.
"Kill me too, then." She could hear them gasp. "Kill me too and send me to them..."
"B-Bunny! D-don't say that!" There was another bang on the door at Tamaki's words.
"I said don't call me that!" She screamed. "I... watched them die. I watched the light drain from their beautiful eyes! No more cuddles, movie nights, no more laughing with them, no more tickle fights, no more saving the world with them. You took away two beautiful people! Two beautiful heroes, sons, husbands... they were... good people. They were my heroes dammit! They were my drive! My passion! My entire fucking world! How dare you impersonate them?! I'll spill your blood, I swear I will! I'm gonna grind you into dust!" Now it made sense, whatever villain she went up against must've done something to her with their quirk.
"(h/n)!" Katsuki called out, trying a different tactic. "What you saw wasn't real! We're fine! S-Suneater and Ground Zero are fine!" She scoffed.
"You're still going with that? Pathetic." (f/n)'s phone buzzed and she looked down. Knowing they wouldn't open the door, she stepped back for a second, quietly talking into the phone. "What?"
"(h/n)! They're fine! It was the villain's quirk!"
"What?"
"When the villain woke up, both Suneater and Ground Zero's body turned to dust, he confirmed they were both fakes. He can create illusions, pretty realistic ones. However, he escaped and he's headed your way!"
"What does he want with me?"
"I don't know, but do not fall for his tricks again-" (f/n) stopped paying attention when the door slammed open and she saw the same villain standing there with a smirk on his face.
"(h/n), we meet again." Beside him, both Suneater and Ground Zero appeared, smirks on their faces. Her eyes widened as she dropped her phone. They... they're real. (f/n) touched the door, slowly knocking on it.
"It's us! We swear!" Katsuki called out. They were fine, but she had no time to relax.
"Keep Suneater safe, Ground Zero." (f/n) said before she glared at the villain. "I'll kill you, you bastard!" Katsuki almost blushed at how perfect she sounded screaming his all-familiar line.
"Wow, sounding a lot like Ground Zero there!" The villain yelled, getting both Tamaki and Katsuki's attention. He followed her here?! What did he want with her?!
"DIE!" She screamed as she jumped over the railings and down to the villain. If... if they weren't in such a high-stress situation, Katsuki would've been so damn proud of her. Her quirk was in lethal mode as (f/n) quickly killed the two clones and attacked the villain.
(AN: Neither "lethal mode" nor "enraged mode" are a "setting" for your quirk, it's just another way to describe how angry you are)
He stood no chance against her enraged mode, she was just too damn fast and too strong. Her rage fueled her drive and she was unstoppable. Through her phone, her friend, (f/h/n), heard her and immediately sent the police to her home.
(f/n)'s quirk was too much, she grabbed the villain's arm and pulled, slamming him into a wall, then onto the ground. She pressed her knee onto his back, pulling his arm behind him and pressing her hand on his head.
"MOVE AND I'LL KILL YOU!"
"That's... not very... heroic of you." The villain struggled.
"Do I look like I care?"
"You're so f-feisty! I like it!" He laughed, making her slap him.
"What do you want with me?"
"You... Missy, arrested a few buddies of mine a wh-while back," The villain's voice came out strained, due to all the pressure on him. "I-I'm just g-getting revenge."
"Pathetic." She growled. "You and your entire band of useless villains. Can't help anyone if you're dead."
"Wh-what kind of h-hero are you?" He laughed. "Are you even a hero?"
"Take away my Suneater and Ground Zero and then ask me that."
"I already did."
"Then no."
"S-Stain wou-would never app-approve of you."
"I don't care. Now shut up." She raised his head slightly and slammed it onto the floor, making him grunt. It'd only taken a couple of minutes before the police arrived.
"POLICE!"
"He's down!" (f/n) yelled back, which gave Katsuki and Tamaki the ok to open the door. They saw the police run into their home and arrest the man underneath (f/n). As he stood up, he looked at both men and gave them a smirk.
"It was fun killing you both." (f/n) kicked his leg, making two cops grab her and pull her away, while the others dragged the villain away.
"Let go of me. I'm fine." (f/n) demanded and they obeyed, once the villain was out of sight. They took her outside, getting her statement, which they'd failed to get earlier since she ran off. The entire time, Katsuki comforted Tamaki in their room, letting him know everything was ok. He was still shaking after everything.
After about thirty minutes, (f/n) was done. She shut the door and looked up towards the master bedroom, which was just barely visible from the front door. After locking up, she slowly made her way up to the room, where she heard both males talking. She stopped for a second, right by the door.
"She was... so scary." Tamaki muttered.
"Well... at least we know she cares for us." Katsuki added. "But yeah, she's pretty scary. I don't blame her... if something happened to both of you... I'd probably lose my shit just like that."
"Yeah... me too." The three had been friends since high school. Katsuki and Tamaki had met first, on the day Tamaki was introduced to class 1-A. Over time, they became friends, extremely close friends. They hadn't started dating officially, but were practically at that point. (f/n) had transferred in late and was placed in Class 1-A as well. Boy, did she take the school with surprise with her quirk, which was rather rare. Her quirk was (y/q) and she already showed great promise with it. Enough to where the Big 3 were interested in her.
(f/n) became great friends with Katsuki right away, who ended up introducing her to Tamaki. Sure, Katsuki and Tamaki both had powerful quirks, but they were really nothing compared to her, especially not the way she used it.
Soon, they began dating and eventually married each other. It was fair to see why (f/n) lost control the way she did. Anyone would've.
(f/n) sighed inaudibly as she stood in the door frame, both males looking up at her. Her eyes scanned their figures, but instead of running to them, she just stayed there, on guard.
"A-are you ok?" Katsuki asked.
"The... clones... they were so realistic." She murmured. They stood up and her eyes followed their figures, being careful.
"C-Can we come closer?" Tamaki asked, making her look up at him. They could see the desperation in her eyes.
"You're... real right? Not some figment of my imagination or something?"
"We're real, babe. As real as you." She moved towards them, slowly at first, but then picked up the pace. Her arms wrapped around both of them as they hugged back tightly.
"B-by the way, Bunny," Tamaki started as the three pulled apart. "Wh-who's blood is that?"
"Oh," She looked down, her entire suit was covered in blood, as well as her hands and she even had blood on her face. "Well... it was Katsuki's. Or at least his clone's. "I should shower."
"Why don't we help?" Katsuki smirked.
"Aren't you both tired?" (f/n) asked, making both of them shake their heads. Especially Tamaki.
"No, you chased away any need for sleep a while ago." He answered, his hand running through his hair. (f/n) looked away, shying away a bit.
"Oh yeah, sorry about that. I... got so angry when I thought they killed you but then decided to pretend to be you."
"Scared the hell outta me," Katsuki muttered, making (f/n) giggle.
"Wow, the great and mighty Lord Explosion Murder scared of a little girl?" He gawked at her.
"L-Little girl?! You almost broke our door down with all that banging. Which, by the way, might I add, the way you screamed "DIE" almost made me blush. Looks like I'm rubbing off on you. Now we just have to wait for Tamaki to scream die before going into a fight and we'll be set." (f/n) only giggled as she started walking towards the bathroom, when Katsuki caught her arm. "No, come back." He pulled her back, placing a loving, passionate kiss on her lips. When they pulled apart, she blinked a few times, only to be surprised by Tamaki, who poured just as much passion and love into his kiss.
Yeah, it was them.

Disclaimer: "A LONG ANNOYING ASS RANT "
Count with me the times, Kadi were fucked by Koreans:
*So Ksoo is always "another member", "Someone" or not spoken of at all or his name is not even mentioned when Kadi r involved together in one scene?!!
*Like Heck Ji did not even mention Ksoo in his MV only talked abt Xiu as if Ksoo's sign n power on that fuckn frozen rock wasn't there.
*He couldn't make a reaction nor talk or support Ksoo's Enlistment song while he did a whole series of reaction videos to Sechan n other artists (his friends), he promoted many songs of western n korean singers but when it came to Ksoo's "That's okay" which is a HIT song that the whole kpop covered n talked about, Ji remained blind n silent.
*Let's not Forget in 2018 during Ekso Ladder when Kadi were seen eating together but we ONLY GOT FOOTAGE OF JONGIN'S BACK n The fan MENTIONED THAT SHE COULDN'T TAKE PICS OF KSOO cuz HE WAS NOT VISIBLE CLEARLY!!??? He is a Human sized HUMAN?Not a Virus? And MONTHS AFTER THAT: She deleted her post n apologized saying that she just mistook KSOO to be with Ji that day n that it was NOT KSOO but someone else and that Ji came alone to the restaurant?? Wtf?? U just said months ago that they were eating a meal together but u came months and months after to tell us that Ji was in FACT EATING ALONE? U FUCKIN said HE WAS EATING WITH SOO? Matter of fact was with SOMEONE ??????????? what are u Blind? Is Ksoo's name cursed? Is he "who he must not be named?" Lord Do Voldemort?
*No ..Ok how can an ExoL not recognize "tHE oThEr mEmBeR" whom Ji was with? She clearly hid it n didn't want to expose it. Wtf? It's just "two Bros chilling in a hot tub five feets apart cuz they not Gay" *actually AGRESSIVELY singing the meme*
* And Oh please don't remind me of that Fucked up Scripted interview of Ekso Concert DVD where they asked kaisoo if they ever traveled together alone and forced Kadi to say that they did NEVER EVER TRAVELED TOGETHER ALONE OR HAD A MEAL TGT BEFORE! KSOO even felt sad that he had to lie abt this and even added a crumb for us to assure us that he is indeed Friends/Lovers with Ji n said "IT'S OKAY IF WE NEVER TRAVELED TOGETHER CUZ WE ARE ALWAYS TOGETHER IN THE DORM", y'all made him lie and he was even concerned that ppl might even think that he hates Ji at this rate that he never even had a meal with him or traveled with him or went on a hangout with him on a span of 10 years of knowing each other. How can u not go out with a friend for a meal for 10 fucking years??
I've just known my friend on internet for months and we traveled together and always hangout together heck we spent thousands of nights together after 1 week of knowing e/o ? Where's the Logic?
Instead we have all this Pushed up CHANSOO agenda with them traveling 4 times back&fourth to Japan, Going tgt in Yeol's car after concerts, having meals together and vacations together and pics all moved internet and on Chan's IG, CHANSOO are the most aesthetic couple they're a huge SHIP too with A HUGE SHIPDOM but No SM doesn't try to stop them?mmmh 🤔 Yet No ONE TO SPEAK ABT KADI SPENDING THEIR BDAYS TOGETHER IN 2019.
*And Oh! I almost forgot this: Ji couldn't even mention That he spent his bday in 2019 with KSOO, and that the latter made him a cake & lit the candles for him and even held a surprise party for him after he came back from his Bday party with Ls, cuz Ji was supposed to be Dating Jennifer back then! So to not break the straight agenda he had to not mention KSOO at all but instead he easily mentioned in his lives later that Ra/vi n Moo/nyu surprised him for his bday n held a mini party for one hour for him after he came from the Bday party with Eksolz when actually IT WAS KSOO?? Kim Ji..isn't KSOO your friend too?? Why didn't you mention him? I'm sure Ji was sad NOT MENTIONING KSOO n only his Homies squad WHILE IN FACT IT WAS THE POOR KSOO WHO HELD AND PREPARED THE PARTY! MADE HIM A CAKE AT HIS BROTHER'S GF's PASTRY AND BROUGHT, JI's Besties to Their(Kadi) dorm cuz he knows Ji would be so happy when his dudes ARE AROUND! But KSOO later on quickly kicked them to give Ji the BEST Bday gift when Ji was supposed to be having an affair with Diva girl Jennifer. Remember when Ji said that his friends came and held him a party for ONE HOUR ONLY BEFORE HE KICKED THEM OUT!! Now we know why he kicked them cuz KSOO was there ! And we didn't know that back in 2019! We knew it until 2020 When Ji forgot his lie n uploaded a video of him n Soo n his suquad on IG. It's too sad when KSOO'S efforts had to be gone in vain AND NOT BE MENTIONED AT ALL when IN FACT IT WAS HIM WHO DID EVERYTHING FOR JI in THAT SMALL BDAY PARTY! HE WAS THE ONE WHO PREPARED IT!
And I'm not gonna talks bout where Kadi spent their Bdays in 2019. Cuz some assess called me a privacy invader.
Stop making them seems like they don't even know each other.
All of this added to my yesterday anger. Korean Ls would never let kaisoo talk freely abt each other n i hate it. Korean Ls won't speak a word abt Kadi. I tried with them many times, never worked they always tell me that Ksoo is only close to SeChanBaekHo and in fact is not close with Ji at all n that It's JI's fault for always being out with his squad. Thankfully I have foreigner friends who live there n are so cool n tell me shit. These momfuckers are so homophobic. And the korean Kaisooists who actually support Kadi, speak in between the bushes so hidy n scared.
I'm mad.

PAIRING: the Flash! chwe vernon x reader
GENRE: fluff, humor, angst, friends-to-lovers, superhero! au
WC: 4.4k
NOTES: mentions of violence, trauma, FIRE, injury, nothing major (when Vernon is acting as the Flash, his voice is altered to protect his identity (duh) so that’s why y/n is obviously not able to tell who he is ^^ )
SUMMARY: it started with cookies. that’s all you wanted, really. but you got a bonus with it, except you wouldn’t really call it a bonus- just a... lovely addition that happened to steal your heart in a flash, whether you knew it or not.
  ❧
“Don’t touch that!” you whisper exasperatedly to your little cousin. You were exhausted. How did parents do it? You planned on going to the mall to get some cookies from the best bakery you’ve ever gone to, and your aunt conveniently wanted her kids to see Santa at the mall. So you offered to take them there with you, to give her a break because you knew a four-year-old and a six-year-old were a l o t of work.
You were waiting in the line for Santa, your little cousins bouncing and messing with the decorations. You stared ahead, counting the number of people in front of you. You sighed. One more kid until I can get my cookies.
You loved your cousins, really, little Camden and Hana. But the E N E R G Y. You frowned, were you like that when you were young? As soon as you finish that thought, the line moves up, and you’re at the front! Camden looks up at you. “How much longer?” he whines. You smile. “We’re almost there. Just wait a little more, alright?” Hana pouts, and you grab her tiny baby hands and swing them, hoping to cheer her up.
As she giggles, one of the worker elves calls out, “Next!” You look at them with a bright expression, gesturing them forward before being interrupted by a loud CRASH and BOOM.
You immediately look around, hearing screams and chaos. You’re frozen, until a strange whiz! passes by you, hair blowing back from the speed. You recoil before remembering the kids(!!) and look down. Camden’s near you, ears plugged, and you sigh in relief. Then suddenly, the image of Hana pops into your mind, and you inhale.
Head whirling, you search the place. You hear more screams, and is that the smell of burning? Where is she???? She wasn’t standing next to you, and you have absolutely no idea where she went. You feel a wave of fear course through you. You bend down to Camden, grabbing his shoulders. You don’t notice your hands shaking. “Listen, Camden. Wait here and do not move. I promise I’ll be back soon ok?” He nods, hands plugging his ears as you leave. You run around the central plaza where Santa was sitting.
You see flames, hearing the roar and shiver, still frantically scanning the area. People are disappearing, probably escaping as they should be, but you can’t leave Hana. You run around the circle until you hear a familiar whimper. Your eyes zero in on a miniature house that was a part of the Christmas decorations. You squint, and you think you see a little girl’s body huddled inside the house. You hear the roars and crackling growing louder, but you ignore it.
Running to the house, you crouch and look it through the window holes. Hana’s inside, huddled and whimpering. You’ve never felt such relief run through you before. “Oh god. Hana...” you murmur. She looks up at you, tears at the corners of her eyes. It almost causes you to tear up as well. Voice shaky, you call her name. You feel waves of heat from behind you, but you focus your attention on her. “Hana, please come out. We need to get out of here.” She shakes her head. “I’m scared... it’s really hot in here..” “I know,” you look back, seeing flames surrounding the area, causing your heart to clench. “But you need to get out. Then we’ll be safe, alright?” You slowly open the door to the house and hold out your arms. Hana slowly creeps forward, and you immediately take her into your embrace.
Turning around, you see the fire encasing you two. Letting out a shaky breath, you just hold Hana tighter, squeezing your eyes shut and thinking, “Is this it? Oh no.. I left Camden alone. What kind of person am I? How-“ You don’t get to finish as you feel a gust of wind and maybe a hand around your waist.
You open your eyes and suddenly, it’s like you’ve been teleported outside. Glancing down, Hana’s still in your arms, staring at you. Sighing in relief, you bury your face in her hair, letting out muffled thank god’s and we’re safe.
You hear a noise and look up, mouth opening in surprise. The Flash?! He looks down at you two, eyes widening in shock. He coughs before asking, “Are you two alright?” You can only slowly nod, processing everything. He’s about to leave when you grab his hand. Sucking in a breath, you look him in the eyes. A familiar warmness to them. “I- just, thank you. You have no idea how indebted I am to you.” The Flash nods. “It’s no problem. It’s my duty.” He looks around before mentioning, “Didn’t you have uh- a little boy with you two?” It didn’t dawn on you how he knew, but you were distracted with what he said.
Shooting up, you immediately think of Camden. Shoot. You spot him with his parents, crying as they comfort him. Once he sees you and Hana coming over, he runs into your embrace. You tightly hug him and Hana, looking back at the Flash with a small smile on your face. He returns the smile before disappearing in a second.
Your friends rush to hug you, all talking about the “Unexpected explosion at the Westpointe Mall.” You laugh, “I’m fine. It was honestly scary, and I’m a little traumatized, but everyone’s okay.” “Thanks to the Flash,” your friend adds. “I owe my life to him,” you say, eyes sparkling as you imagine him saving you. Your friends let out an ooooh, and you groan before denying anything. You chat with them for a little before receiving a text.
It’s from Vernon. You quickly tell your friends you have to go, them all teasing you about your ‘date’ (that you dismiss with an eye roll).
Walking out, you spot him, and he quickly brings you into his arms. You didn’t exactly know what your relationship with him was.  You always denied it, saying the classic, we’re just friends, but anyone could tell you two definitely had something more.
You inhale, smelling his comforting scent. “I heard about what happened,” he mumbles into your hair. You just nod, enjoying his comforting embrace.
You pull back, and he leads you to his car. Settling inside, Vernon plays some cringy old love songs, and you giggle, the both of you singing along. When you arrive at the cafe, you both order before finding a seat. “So,” Vernon starts. “What, uh, is the whole story?” You swallow before recounting the whole incident.
“And then the Flash suddenly comes in! I owe everything to him, he saved Hana and me. He was so cool and brave..” You realize you’re rambling before looking back at him. His ears are red, and he’s smiling slightly, you note. “Wow. Well, uh-I guess he seems like a nice guy ?” Vernon replies awkwardly. You raise an eyebrow. “Why are you acting so weird all of a sudden?” He chokes on his drink. “What? ha, whaddya mean?”
You narrow your eyes at him. Then it hits you. Your eyes widen, and you snap your fingers. “I know what it is. You’re-“ Vernon suddenly reaches up and covers your mouth with his hand, you’ve never seen him so panicked before. In the process of doing so, he accidentally knocks your fork, but quickly catches it with his other hand. Your eyebrows raise in shock at his incredibly fast reflexes, then you remove his hand from your mouth. Leaning in, you speak in a hushed voice, “Vernon... it’s okay to be jealous. It’s not a big deal. Besides, I’ve known you for years and only met the Flash once. Of course, I would choose you over him, dummy.”
Vernon dramatically sinks back into the seat in relief, placing his hand over his face before sitting up and returning to you. “Yeah sure, you’re right. I shouldn’t be jealous..” You laugh and place your hand over his comfortingly, not removing it until you two leave the cafe.
“-crime rates are rising. Be careful when you go out, people! Especially in places with large gatherings! Well, that was your-“ you shut off the TV. It's been getting more dangerous recently, you think. There have been more and more bombing attacks going off, and the Flash has been rescuing the people from all of them. You shiver, remembering the heat. Flames flickering over you. Hana’s cries. Your respect for the superhero grows. You shake your head, getting into bed.
You didn’t tell anyone so they didn’t worry, but you had been having recurring nightmares after the event at the mall. Sometimes it was just flames burning you or you not being able to save Hana and Camden. But whenever you woke up, there was always a bitter, smoky aftertaste in your mouth. It got really bad sometimes, so you would either watch social media and eventually pass out or stay up the night, unable to fall back asleep.
Today was unfortunately one of the latter nights. You throw off all the blankets, it was wintertime, but you could only feel the heat. The images flash in your head again. Bright. Loud. Pain. You exhale shakily. Your first instinct is to reach for your phone and call Vernon.
“y/n??” you hear his raspy voice. Your whole body sweating, you reply in a small voice, “Can you please come over, now?” There’s a pause before he responds, “On my way.”
All you say to him when he arrives is, “I can’t sleep..” and he guides you to your bed, going in after you. He wraps his arms around you, probably already drifting off. It was really hot before, but Vernon’s heat was comforting and tranquil. You slip off before you know it.
You’re walking to the grocery store when you’re stopped by the sound of police sirens and disorder. Another bombing, you overhear. “There are so many bombings. What’s really going on?” you wonder. Your curiosity gets to the best of you, and you walk over to the commotion. There are police talking to huddled people, obviously traumatized.
And then you see him. The Flash. He was talking to a policewoman, and you continue to stare at him. He seems so familiar to you, but you can’t place where and when you might've seen him before, excluding the one time he saved you. He must’ve noticed because he says goodbye to the police and walks over to you.
You’re surprised. You didn’t think a superhero had time to talk to a normal person like you. He stops in front of you. You look up at him curiously, admiring his suit. “So how’re the kids?” You’re confused for a moment, but then you laugh. “They’re fine, I think. Luckily you saved them so hopefully, there are no scars,” unlike me. He smiles. “Where are you going? Uh, just to be safe. Don’t want someone walking at night by themselves.” You allow a small smile to form. “I can take care of myself, but thanks anyway. I’m just going to the mart. Don’t you have other things to do?” He shrugs as you two continue walking down the street. “Not unless there’s another bombing.”
When you arrive at the front of the mart, the Flash awkwardly shifts from foot to foot. You glance at him, confused. “I, um, shouldn’t go inside there, you know. My suit and all.” You laugh. “That’s what you’re worried about? The suit? I would expect the fan girls rushing to take a picture with you, but don’t worry, I won't ask, mr. superhero.” He grins. “I’ll wait for you here then.”
You don’t actually expect the Flash to be there when you exit the store, things in hand, but he’s there. He spots you. “Finally, it was getting weird standing here alone. Luckily no one asked for a picture.” You smile, before shuffling through your bags, “I bought some snacks as thanks for you, but the only place I think is open at this time is my place. We could go there to eat if you have time, that is..” You don’t know why your cheeks feel hot. He pauses for a minute, before shrugging. “Sure.”
You open the door, saying, “Please excuse the mess,” as you let the Flash into your apartment. You might be internally freaking out. He walks in as if he’s been here a thousand times before. “Oh, nice place?” You smile. “Thanks. We can go to my balcony and eat. It’s pretty tonight.”
Leading him out, you show the snacks you bought. It was mostly snacks that Vernon forced you to try and were now your favorites. You look at him nervously. “I hope these are okay?” He seems pleasantly surprised. “Yeah, these are fine.”
You two chat about your life, his superhero stuff. It was surprisingly refreshing as you gaze at the night, clear and stars shining bright. You turn to look at him and find him already looking at you. Your breath hitches. It suddenly feels a lot warmer. You think he’s leaning in, maybe you’re leaning in until a sudden breeze blows past and you shiver. The Flash inhales. “You should uh, get inside. It’s cold and getting late..” “Right,” you said, breaking out of your trance.
But before you go in, you look back. “Will I see you again?” He only smiles. “Take care.” And then he’s gone in an instant. You fall asleep that night, no nightmares.
You do see the Flash again. Around two weeks later, he comes crashing into your apartment.  “Oh my god, you-“ He groans, collapsing on your couch. “What happened??” He coughs. “Another bombing. Got everyone out in time but barely.” His suit is all scorched and red. You wince at the burns.
Hesitantly, you ask, “Can you remove your suit? T-to treat the burns?” He can only nod. Grabbing your med-kit, you sit on the ground next to him. “I won’t mess with your mask..” you softly murmur, “but if it’s bad, I’ll promise not to look, cause you’re in no shape to do it yourself.”
You assist him in taking off the top part of his suit. You remind yourself to focus and not get distracted. The burns are red and harsh, and you shudder at the thought that you could’ve been through that if it wasn’t for the Flash. Taking the burn ointment, you warn him before softly rubbing it on top. He groans in pain, and you try your best to soothe him, gripping his hand tightly with your free one.
It goes on for the rest of the night, and he passes out on your couch. The next morning, he’s gone with a simple scrawly thank you written on a notepad. You wonder how he found it because it was in a drawer that he did not know about, or at least you thought. Your thought is momentarily forgotten as you remember to text Vernon.
Recently, Vernon had been busy and wasn’t texting you often, which you understood. But today, you were supposed to meet up later with him, just to hang out because you felt like you haven’t seen him in so long.
Once you get there, he’s sitting down, anxiously bouncing his knee. You immediately brighten. “Vernon! I missed you.. What’ve you been up to that’s been taking you from me?” you pout. He nervously smiles. “Just school and work ya know??” You frown, but mumble “Alright..” You two catch up, and you tell him about the Flash, recounting that one night under the stars. You leave out the ending, though. Vernon’s eyebrows raise comically. “Geez, that’s cool. A superhero hung out with you? I’m jealous..” You nod excitedly. You decide not to tell him about the one night with the Flash’s unexpected visit. It didn’t seem right.
As you two get up to leave, you notice Vernon limping. “Vernon?” you ask. He looks back at you. “What’s up?” You examine his body. He’s slightly hunched over like he’s injured. “Why are you limping??” He freezes. “I-well- I didn’t want to tell you.., but someone spilled their hot water over my legs... and yeah.” You open your mouth, but Vernon stops you. “It was an accident, alright? No need to get angry.” “I just care about you a lot,” you huff. He assures you by enlacing your hands together. You sigh but decide to let it go.
The Flash shows up at your place several times. By that, you mean at least once a week. The bombings are getting more and more frequent, and you’re not sure why. All the attacks are random, and the CIA still haven’t found any information on the bombers yet, so it’s up to the Flash to save them. Each time, he comes back with more and more injuries.
Around the ninth(?) time he shows up, you frown in disapproval. “Listen, this is too much. There are so many bombings going on, and everyone expects you to save them all. You can’t keep doing this by yourself. Where are the police and security?” He just shrugs in defeat. “It’s my duty to help the city. This is my job, and if I have to save people from bombs daily, then I will.” You pout. “It’s not fair. Why can’t I be a superhero too so I can help you?” He laughs before wincing in pain.
You tend to his injuries once more. Yes, he had accelerated healing, but constantly getting burned and hurt was taking a toll on him. Plus, you could tell he was just physically and mentally exhausted. Once you were done, you stare at him. His eyes were closed, so you assumed he had fallen asleep, but suddenly they flicker open. That’s when you notice the dark eye circles underneath them, even with the mask on.
He just stares back at you, before softly muttering, “I’m so tired..” You’re about to respond, but he grabs your arm and pulls you forth, so your face is a lot closer to his than before. Frozen, you open your mouth to say something, but he leans up and places his lips on yours. Your eyes instinctively close. You’re not sure how long it lasts, but you’re finally able to pull back. He’s already half-asleep, exhausted. You quietly turn off the lights and leave him to rest.
Vernon was drained. Balancing his superhero life and normal life was getting difficult recently. With all the attacks, he was constantly stopping by your place as the Flash, then zooming back to his place to be Vernon again. His life was getting extremely hectic and busy, but he knew it came with being the city’s hero.
He doesn’t know why he started stopping by your place, especially risking his identity being exposed. Maybe it was just the exhaustion or wanting to see you. It was really difficult to hide his identity from his friends, especially you. He was so busy and had no time to hang out with anyone, constantly saving lives and then going to classes and work immediately after.
Finally having some free time to do his schoolwork, Vernon types away on his computer. He needed to take full advantage and catch up, because well, his grades weren’t doing too well. A notification catches his attention. It’s an email from... the CIA?
The CIA contacted him? They’re the only ones who knew Vernon’s identity and promised to keep it a secret in return for working alongside them.  He’s shocked when he reads the email. It’s simple. Meet up at a restaurant today. 3 pm sharp.
Once he gets there, he sees an officer waiting for him, beckoning. After he sits, the officer leans in. “We were able to track the bombers down and find the whereabouts of their next attack.” His eyes widen. They tracked the attackers down? The officer continues, “The next bombing is tomorrow, 7 PM at the Art Galleria. Get the bomb before they can set it off. We’re gonna be closing it but get all surrounding people out if necessary, and we’ll take care of the rest.” Vernon nods, processing the information. The officer gives him a last, don’t be late, and sets off, leaving Vernon to sit alone.
The next morning, you’re texting Vernon, telling him about your exams in the afternoon and asking if he wanted to go see ‘Picasso’s art’ with you around dinner time after you finish. He texts back a small, “No sorry I’m busy later :/“ thinking about his “plans” for that evening. You respond with “awww, it’s ok. I’ll go by myself and I’ll be safe! Promise! Also- don’t text me during my exams, my phone will be off!” Vernon smiles, putting his phone away in his pocket.
He carries on with his day until around six-thirty. He’s visualizing the plans that’ll happen in about thirty minutes while also thinking about how he can make it up to you for not being able to go.
Then it hits him. Picasso’s art? That’s at the art galleria. Which meant you were going to the art galleria later today. Around dinner time. The next bombing was in thirty minutes. Shit, he thinks, hand reaching for his phone before remembering your text.
Your phone is off. You’re probably concentrating on your exams, then going to the art galleria without knowing anything. He sighs, running his hand through his hair. It’s fine. He’ll just somehow find you before you get there and move you to a safer place.
He ignores what you said and texts you anyway. He types, ‘Y/n, don’t go to the galleria, no matter what. Just listen to me please.” Vernon also texts your friends, hoping one of them will catch you and give the message.
Groaning frustratedly, he decides to put on his suit and go look for you. Making up an excuse in his head, Vernon runs around the art galleria, passing by everyone with a gust. But he can’t find you. Vernon was getting annoyed. It was getting closer to seven, and he needed to find the bomb. Where were you?
He spots the police. They’re surrounding the whole place, getting ready to help people once he gets them out and preparing to arrest the bad guys. Vernon searches, but you’re nowhere to be found. He can only hope you’re not here. He zooms past the guards, going in and flying through the whole place. He grabs every person in sight and moves them out in 5 minutes. Now to find the bomb.
He frowns. Why are there so many people at the galleria today? He just wanted to know where you are. He dashes into one of the exhibits, filled with paintings. He immediately stops.
It’s you. You’re held by a hooded man, three other dark figures in the room next to what he figures is the bomb.
Vernon’s heart plummets. How did he not catch you before? He can only look as the man laughs, holding you close with his arm tightly over your chest. Vernon can’t read the expression on your face, but you’re rigid, and your hands and feet are tied. The man grips you harsher. “Well, if it isn’t the little Flash. Move one inch and the bomb goes, along with the girl.”
Internally, Vernon scoffs. He could take this whole group out in two seconds flat. But he was worried about you. He contemplated his chances, before lunging forward. He deals a few blows to the man before moving to you, undoing your arms and legs. Then he wrangles everyone and brings them out front to the police, everyone in slow motion.
Strolling back into the galleria, he smashes the bomb with his foot. All in a few seconds. You gasp when you see suddenly him by your side, huddled over you. “Are you alright?” You could’ve gotten seriously hurt,” anger seeping through his voice. You frown. “I’m fine. I said I could take care of myself.” Raising his voice, he snaps, “You could’ve died! How did you even get in here? I went through the whole place, and you were the only person I wasn’t able to get.”
You sigh. “Why do you care so much? Is it because you’re actually one of my closest friends?” He freezes. What?
“Vernon,” your voice cracks. “Why didn’t you tell me?” His eyes slowly land on you. You’re sitting on the ground, arms around your knees, and staring at the ground like a hurt child.
Vernon tried to respond, but nothing comes out. You stand up, shaky, but manage to take a couple of steps before he grabs your arm. “Y/n... I-“ but you interrupt him. “Do you like me? Like actually like me?” you ask softly, trying to catch his eye. He finally looks at you, swallowing. “Yeah.. and no. I love you Y/n. And I’m sorry for not telling you, no one knows except for the CIA. I just wanted you to be safe, and especially after today, I can’t lose you.”
You think you feel tears form in your eyes as you throw your arms around him. He relaxes, relishing in your warmth. You’re about to release him, but he tightens his arms around you. You look up, and Vernon leans down to capture your lips with his. It feels warm and you ignore the fluttering in your stomach.
Breaking the kiss, Vernon realizes something. “Wait.... how did you know I was the Flash?” You roll your eyes, a grin on your face. “It was so obvious, whenever I brought it up you acted soo awkward.” He squeezes your waist playfully, letting out an oh my goddd. You look at him in amusement. “But really, it was after the Flash-I mean you- kissed me that one night. I dunno, it felt like I was kissing you.. and then after that, it just kinda clicked.”
Vernon thoughtfully nods before saying, “You know, we’re literally just standing in the middle of an exhibit. We should probably get out of here. I’m thinking Chinese tonight?” You smile widely. “Whatever you want, mr. flash-who’s-also-my-boyfriend-now?” He grins before picking you up in his arms, zooming off into the night.
You think it’s pretty cool to have a superhero boyfriend. Especially one that can take you to get cookies at your favorite bakery in exactly 2.4 seconds (yes, you timed it).

1. Complete a puzzle: The more pieces the better! Feeling extra saucy? Take on a Rubik's Cube. More of a word person? Crossword puzzle!
2. Start a journal or blog. Sure, it can be about the coronavirus, but it could also be about a specific interest from chess to cheese.
3. If it won't bother your neighbors: Dust off that old instrument and practice.
4. Text all your exes just in case you have one more thing you wanted to get off your chest.
5. Write poetry. Perhaps you can craft a haiku for Mother's Day, or something without a specific structure. Just try it!
6. Watch all the really long movies you’ve avoided until now.
7. Download Duolingo, or a similar app, and teach yourself a foreign language.
8. Finally read “Infinite Jest,” “Les Miserables” or even “The Stand.” Go all in and read “Ulysses.” You got this.
9. Meditate. Try lying down with your eyes closed, palms up and while focusing on your breath. Or spend 20 minutes sitting crosslegged and repeat a soothing word to yourself in your head. (The latter is more like transcendental meditation.)
10. Face masks, moisturizer, oh my! Treat yourself to a 10-step skin care routine you don’t have time for during a normal work week.

“Adventures in Undertale” Frisk had just fallen down and was in the process of getting up, and looked around in slight boredom. They had seen all this before and were ready to do it all again. Finally raising from the golden petals they started walking,“Time to do this all again.” Frisk said as they started to go to Flowey. Frisk was going to the next room when suddenly a green portal appeared above their brown haired head, two people soon falling on top of them, shooting guns into the portal. Frisk fell as a boy and man collapsed onto them. Their hp decreased dramatically from the impact due to the combined weight of the people, causing the vibrant red soul of themselves to break into multiple pieces. Frisk’s last thoughts before the darkness consumed them was simply,“That’s new…” as they fell into the dark abyss. “G-God dammit Morty!” The older man with blue hair yelled as he drank from a silver flask,“Do you realize what the fuck you just did?!” “M-Me?! You did it! You shot the portal! I d-didn’t do anything, Rick!” The brown haired fourteen-year-old looking boy studdered towards Rick. Rick rolled his eyes and mumbled, “At least I don’t bitch about everything, you little shit.” Rick then decided to look around and noticed the cave walls and the flowers on the ground,“Oh Fuuuck Morty! Do you know where we are?! This is baaaaad Morty! Y-You fucked up biiig time!” Rick mumbled drunkenly as he stumbled to begin the process of hiding the body of the departed Frisk, pausing every once in a while to drink from his flask. “W-What do you mean Rick? Where a-are we?!” Morty yelled gripping what little brown hair he had on his head. He was genuinely confused and was really close to possibly shitting his pants again. “W-We’re in Undertale M-M-Morty! And you just killed the main character!” Rick studdered and belched, throwing the body into a corner of the room. “I-I-I didn’t kill nobody! Besides… i-i-isn’t Undertale a video game or something? H-How are we in a video game?!” Morty was looking around wondering what the hell Rick dragged him into this time. Rick looked at Morty with a look of pure annoyment in his beady eyes,“Multiple Realities MOoOorty, including one where video games are actual places.” Morty’s head tilted,“Why would you pick this dimension to hide in Rick? S-Seems like a bad place h-h-hide.” He honestly didn’t really understand this at all, why out of all places to hide from their enemies… “Because MoOoOorty, it happened. The writer of the story we are in decided to put us here.” Rick burped and drank his flask some more. He threw Frisk behind a rock in the very dark depths of the room, their body already seems to show signs of decay,“Alright M-Morty, we have to get the hell out of here. L-Let’s fucking gOoooO! "Wait R-Rick! What do you mean story?! And where d-d-do we go?!” Morty studdered and yelled. “Shut the f-fuck up Morty, your being reaLly annoying. Just calm down and go check t-this place out for cool shit, the fAaaLl broke my portal gun and I n-need to fix it before the counsel of fucking idiots shows up.” Rick pulled out some glowing crystals and a screwdriver then took a seat on the pile of flowers beneath the opening of the hole. Morty looked around nervously,“O-Ok Rick, I’ll see what I c-can find."He then proceeded to look around the room, not seeing anything of interest or desire,"Maybe there is something in the next r-room.” Morty spoke seemly to no one. “Then go check it oOUtt then and stop being weird MoOorty.” Rick mumbled,“I w-want this damn story over with so this fUucking writer will stop telling everyone e-every damn detail of our lives.” Morty walked into the next room and glanced around again, the room was all pitch black except for a spotlight-like thing showing a small green grass circle. He stepped closer to the circle and suddenly a small golden innocent face appeared seemly from nowhere,“H-Holy shit! w-w-what the hell is that?!” Morty screamed slightly, already regretting coming out of the room he and Rick fell into. “Howdy! I’m Flowey, Flowey the Flower!” Flowey Observed the smallest boy and was perplexed, this was obviously not Frisk. So what was this child doing here?,“You must be soooo confused!” “You c-can say that again…” Morty spoke to himself, wondering how he could get away from this creepy ass flower. He tried stepping away before realizing he seemed to be in a white battle box. Looking in front of himself Morty saw a gray dull looking soul in front of him. Flowey giggled at how wimpy this boy must be all the time, it was glorious. Morty, on the other hand, was even more terrified,“W-What the hell is this?! L-L-Let me out!” Flowey smiled,“See that heart? That’s your soul! the very cumulation of your being! Your soul starts off weak, but can become stronger will more LV!” Morty studders grew worse from fear,“W-W-What do y-you mean LV? Wh-What’s that?” “Why LV stands for LOVE of course! You want some love don’t you?” Morty shook his head,“Actually n-no thanks, I’ll j-just go now!” Morty tried to get away before becoming surrounded by little white pellets,“W-What the hell?! HEY! LET ME OUT!” Flowey giggled,“Nah, you’re much more fun than Frisk ever was!” He laughed with menace before sending the pellets closer and closer to a trembling Morty. “RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK! HEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP!” The pellets grew and closer towards Morty, Morty himself assuming that Rick didn’t hear him or didn’t give a shit, the latter most likely being the answer. Morty didn’t think being killed by a video game character would be how he died, an alien or shoot out yeah. But a fake yet real game flower? Not really a memorable way to go. He curled up into a ball on the ground, waiting for his death. Time seems to go by in slow motion before the devil of a flower froze. Not in fear or surprise, but in actual ice. Morty glanced up to see his grandfather holding a freeze ray towards Flowey with a look of disgust on his face,“JesUuUs Morty, you were gonna let yourself d-die by a flower? That’s fucking pathetic.” Morty ignored Rick’s insult and ran up to him throwing his arms around the older man,“T-Thank you grandpa Rick! Thank you!” Rick was nervous at first from the interaction but slowly hugged his grandson back,“SuUure Morty, your mom would have murdered me if you died so once again, hAad to s-save your ass. Now c-come on, let’s go home b-buddy.” Rick grumbled pulling Morty away to the wall. He shot a green portal onto the surface of the wall not too far away from the now frozen Flowey. Rick took some pellets into a vial,“Might be useful for something.” and proceeded to pull Morty into the portal, it soon closing afterwards. Not too long after this whole ordeal, Frisk finally loaded their save. Looking around once again at the golden flowers and the doorway to the next room they wondered,“What in the underground was that about?”
UNTIL NEXT TIME, WUBBA LUBBA DUB DUB!
