My very first blog 🔮

I'm Lou. I've never been a blogger. I've never been a blog reader. But I've always loved writing. I wanted to start off by saying thank you to my few followers, for finding me interesting enough to add me to your accounts. I'm new to Tumblr and still trying to get the hang of it. I've posted mostly pictures of my art, my home, inspirations and myself. But I'm also going to use this as a way to reflect. As writing has always been a form of therapy for me helping me to get through most things in my life (even grocery shopping) lol I'm a big list maker. I'm going to use this to vent, reflect, decide, seek advice, find inspiration to better my art and my life. Recently I made the decision to quit my retail job (working various places for close to 9 years) and pursue my art career (worked on diligently my whole life) I needed to make a change. I was starting to hate people and I want to become a tattoo artist and own my shop one day so, I need to be a people person. Which I am! I've always loved meeting new people and have always been a social butterfly! But if there's one thing anyone whose ever worked in retail knows it's that it's a soul sucking monster she wolf of no mercy. Retail needed to go. It's been 4 months since I walked away and I have not been happier. I absolutely love being able to wake up in the morning and know that I don't have to go and deal with caddy bullshit between coworkers, power tripping managers (even tho I was a manager myself, you always had to answer to the man and he was usually a dick) and the worst...the customers. I don't even need to say more. I get to wake up with my wonderful man every morning and have a tea with him before he goes to work, and then I hang out with my kitty (Edgar the Grey, who you'll meet soon) do my computer work, replying to emails, texts, making updates, posts, pages, renewing ads, checking out what the big ol wide web has to offer and then I go for my walk! This for me, boosts my energy. It gives me time to figure out what I'm going to do for the day and it's a wonderful way to get in sync with nature. A walk in the trees when you can still smell the dew on the grass and the sun is just starting to peek through the already changing leaves on trees. Love it. Then I come home and get ARTSY! Depending on the outcome of my walk I decide what I'll do for the day and I get started on my project. The beauty of working from home is that I don't even have to stop. If I'm submerged into my art I will work for hours. This has been the best therapy for me in terms of helping to process and cultivate my creativity. Currently I'm working on my Halloween Tattoo Flash Sale sheets. I will be holding a sale all of October for Halloween flash! This will both help me gain followers/clients who share the love of the life style and for those who just want to commemorate a special spooky momento. And also starting my very first blog! I'm not sure how many of you will read this and how many people will scroll on by but if you've made it thus far I want to thank you. Sincerely.
