Proms suck | MJ x fem!reader

A/N: ok ok I know this is a really cliche concept but I tried my hardest to not make it too cliche , I hope you guys like it also MJ DESERVES THE FREAKING WORLD AND I LOVE HER SMM :,((

“y/n No!” were the first and much predictable words that came out of your girl friend’s mouth, when you proposed the idea of going to prom.

“you are not letting me fini-” “nope,nope,nope” she said with closed eyes and an innocent smile.

“come on it will be fun.” you pleaded, “since when has the idea of going to prom been considered as fun, especially by you and me. oh that’s right never.” she replied. “ i mean it hasn’t but i just thought that it might be fun or whatever.” you mumbled and sat down next to her with a disappointed  expression on your face. “y/n whatever happened to us ordering pizza and watching movies till our eye lids gave up and couldn’t open.” She tried convincing you by kissing your cheek. “look i was never against the idea of us having a night in, but don’t you think that its time for a little change. when we grow older and go to college we will look back at these memories and laugh at the stupid cheesy pictures we took when we were high schoolers And i don’t want you missing out on any experience just because you thought it was lame and stupid.” You explained, silently hoping she’d say yes to this. Mj looked at you and your puppy dog eyes and she knew she couldn’t say no. There were a few seconds of silence between you two when you decided to break it and dramatically say “ Plz MJ the light and love of my life, the treasure of my heart plz will you say yes to going to prom with me.” 

“ Fine.” she agreed with red cheeks, to which you squealed and hugged her real tight saying “ i love yaaa!” in a weird silly accent. 

“ Y/N/N, we are going to be late. can you hurry up.” MJ yelled waiting for you by the stairs of your house. “ coming!” you yelled back. You looked at your self in the mirror to see how you looked like and well it wasn’t bad you tried to keep it casual and not wear something too fancy in case MJ thought you were way too extra but she wouldn’t really think that right? She is your girl friend she loves you. The word ‘love’ reminded you that she and you had not really said your ‘ i love yous’ yet. Which freaked you out i mean it is normal for couples to not say i love you when they have only been dating for 3 months right??? Your overthinking was interrupted by your mother coming to your room and saying “ you know she will fall for you even more than she already has when she looks at you.” you turned around to give her a thankful smile. “ really?” you questioned, “really” your mother said. Which boosted your confidence, you thanked your mother and made your way downstairs. “ lets go” you said making MJ who was talking to your brother turn around and freeze in place. she couldn’t take her eyes off of you. God you were perfect she thought as you made your way downstairs. “ Wow! y-ou lo-ok re-ally wonderful, like really pretty.” she stuttered. You smiled at her flustered state and kissed her cheek while saying “ you don’t look too bad yourself .” She was looking breathe taking too and your bones felt like jelly when you saw her in her black coat suite. 

When you and Mj arrived there. It was not what you had expected. Sure there was still music,a whole lot of teenagers who were well extremely horny,but other than that the hall was decorated beautifully. You and Mj made your way towards the table where Peter and Ned were sitting. “ Wow is it just me or did you just come to prom.” Peter said to Mj while you all sat down at the table. “Yeah well, proms can be some times fun too you know.” She tried to lie but she wasn’t fooling any one. “ yeah yeah whatever, this is literally proof of how much she loves you Y/N.” Peter replied. To which both of your and Mj’s cheeks turned red and you mumbled “ Shut up Pete.” “ So you wanna have some fun.” You said to Mj when every one had left the table and given you both some privacy. She got up from her seat stuck her hand out in front of you, indicating the fact that you should grab it and replied “ hell yeah.” And with those words the night began. You both danced crazily on the stage with your friends, drank aLOOOt of punch, took those cheesy couples pictures and watched Peter puke five times the entire night. You couldn’t have wished for anything more. This whole night was perfect. After all of you were wasted sitting on your table a slow song started playing in the background. You could see that Peter and Ned had passed out on the chairs next to your chair with their heads on each other’s shoulders. Now only you and MJ were left. It was pretty awkward for you both because a. You had never been in a REALLY CLICHE ROMANTIC MOMENT WITH HER WITH A ROMANTIC SONG PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND. And b. You both had no idea what to do. The awkward silence was broken when Mj said “ Do maybe wanna you know dance or whatever.” While scratching the back of her head and looking every where else except your face. “ yeah sure.” You replied with a smile on your face. With flustered faces and shaky hands you both made your way towards the dance floor.

She put her hands on your waist and you around her neck and although you both had no idea what you were doing you still starting twirling a little. “ Hey I had a really great time tonight, thx for making me not think proms suck.” Mj Said “ I had a great night too, I mean it was perfect because well we had alot of fun and also because I got to spend it with you.” You replied. You both were looking into each other’s eyes the moment was perfect and all you kept mumbling to your self was ‘ say it Y/N say it’ and so you did. “ hey Mj.” You whispered, to which she replied with a “ yeah.” “ I love you.” You breathed. “ I love you too.” She whispered back and with that she connected her lips to yours, making butterflies erupt in your tummy. It sounds so cliche but it’s true.

“ So you’re telling me that you’ve never read anything from Jane Austin.” You questioned theo. Currently you both were sitting at the corner of your father’s book shop huddled together talking books obviously . “ yeah I haven’t.” He confessed. You looked at him with the biggest shocked face. “ you won’t kill me now will you.” He said sarcastically. Which made you and him both laugh. “ no I won’t you are spared for now, theoDOOOORe.” You replied while chuckling a little. With that both of you went back to reading taking turns chapter by chapter. His voice was so relaxing you could listen to it all day, and the way he looked at the words and read with such concentration made you fall for him a little and maybe alot. Staring at him for a long time didnt turn out so good for you as he noticed that you had been staring at his face which made him close the book and look at you. “ Ok what’s wrong? Is my voice sounding bad? Am I going a little too fast? Do you need me to slow down ?” He rambled insecurely,while you looked at him like you had seen an angel. “No!no you were fine I’m sorry for staring at you like a creep.” You apologized after snapping out of your trance. “ don’t apologize you know it’s not like everyday a guy like me gets stared by a really pretty girl like you.” He said while getting a little close to your face than he already was. “ Wha-t are you Uhh doing.” You whispered as his lips were only a few inches away from yours. “ I’m tryna kiss you but only if you could make it easier for me and kiss me back.” He said while tilting your chin up so you could meet his eyes. “Then do it.” You breathed. As soon as he was about to a loud voice called out your name, making you and him both jolt away from each other. “ Uhhh I umm have to go.” You said getting up and packing your thing to go check on your father who had ruined your perfectly amazing about to happen first kiss. “ yeah yeah you should I should be going too fa-ther will be mad.” He stuttered his face red from all the embarrassment. “ Bye theo.” You mumbled awkwardly but he was already gone.

Since the whole moment between you and theo. You didn’t see him at the book shop .Every time you’d go there and he wouldn’t be there,which always disappointed you. You were sitting at the counter sipping on some hot coffee while sketching some weird doodles thinking about theo. Just as the door opened which made you look up hoping it would be theo. It wasn’t but it was someone who you were really close with, ‘ Anthony’ your best friend. You hadn’t seen him all winter break and now seeing him brought a smile to your sad face. “ Surprise.” He announced smugly. You squealed and ran up to him giving him the biggest hug of all time. While you two were hugging you didn’t notice a certain some one enter the shop not until a sound of a loud thud made you break your hug with Anthony. You turned around to see a really pissed off theo. “ sorry to interrupt the Moment but I borrowed this book and I thought it’d be rude if I never returned it so here.” He said with venom dripping down from his voice with that he left the shop. You asked Anthony to excuse you and ran out after him.

“ Theo!” You yelled for him to stop but he didn’t. You had no choice but to block him from the front. “ what!” He yelled back. “ give me one reason why I should stop I come here all the way from my house to see you with your pathetic friend, or boyfriend well guess what Y/L/N you won congratulations for using me.” “ No no No! Stop.” You commanded. “ WHY?” He asked. And there started your cheesy confession for him “ Becaaaaussse, I wanna be with you, and not just because I think your hot although I do, but you also umm are smart funny and awkward and I love how your face gets so red when you do something awkward which might seem awkward to you but to me it’s fucking adorable and I really really like you.” You finished with your awkward confession. “ is this the part where I uh come up to you and kiss you like they do in the muggle movies.” He questioned awkwardly while playing with hems of his sweater. Which made you laugh and yell “ YES YOU IDIOT!” And just like that your lips were on his and he was kissing you. It was sooo magical, like fucking butterflies in the stomach type magical. “ AANNNNND CUTTT!!!!!” Yelled Anthony from the door of the book shop which made you and theo break the kiss and look at eachother with the biggest smiles.

Books.Books.Books.

Where do you even begin with them. Books were your home,best friend and yellow. From the weird pop up books from your childhood to the small novels to spell books and then more and more novels. If anyone would ask your friends where to find you they’d point to the hogwarts library and the person who would be looking for you would find you in the corner leaning against a book shelf, with your nose buried in a book whether it be a course book or a normal novel. With your passion of books also came the love of libraries that you shared with your father so when he wanted to open a book shop in the corner of diagonally five year old you couldn’t be more excited.

So whenever you’d get a break from school you’d go work at your fathers book shop ,mostly restocking the shelves with your wand while listening to your favorite tracks. Which brings you here right now currently standing infront of your father’s book shop . It wasn’t really packed on the weekends just a small little crowd. You made your way inside the shop to the front counter where your father used to sit. “Dad I’m here.” “Over here kiddo.” Came a voice from behind the storage area. You made your way downstairs to the storage area to see your father was having a hard time carrying a stack of books . You mentally face palmed at your father’s obliviousness being a muggle obviously scared him from Wands and all sorts of magic. “ You know we use wands for a specific reason.” You said while taking your wand out of your pocket waving it and taking all the books out of your fathers hand. “ YOU use the wands I tend to stay away from these scary little things.” He replied. “ jeez.” You sighed while playfully rolling your eyes. “ ok so I need you to restock these at the back.” Your father instructed. “ yeah yeah I know.” You replied, “ WITHOUT your wand missy.” He pointed out.

You started filling the empty spaces of the shelves,while putting the books you noticed you put the wrong book in the wrong genre shelve as you were about to grab it another hand grabbed it too. You pulled it towards you and the hand pulled it back towards it self. But at last the hand was a little too strong and the book got pulled out of your hand making it hit the shelf really hard. “ Ouch!” You grunted. “Shit sorry.” The voice apologized, turns out the person was a boy. You were so mad at the dude you ran to the other side and said “ And that’s supposed to make up for your mean behavior.” As soon as you saw the boy’s face you knew who he was. THEODORE NOTT. hangs out with draco malfoy, he’s really quiet and just sits at the corner of the table. He obviously knew who you were exactly like him,kind of really pretty which made it hard for him to not fall for you, he always used to stare at you from his table but hell would break lose if you would look at him even for a little bit. “ Hi.” You greeted him awkwardly. “ Hi back.” He replied awkwardly the same way. There were a few seconds of awkward silence between you two when he broke it and said “ umm I’m really sorry about your hand I should’ve dropped the book but I really wanted it and it was my fav and I -, his babbling was cut off by you saying “ it’s o-okay Theo.” Surprised you knew his name he questioned “how did Uhh know my name?” Well fuck, now he’ll probably think you are a freak you thought. “ Umm I just know.” You replied. From the awkwardness you were about to turn back and leave when he suddenly said” if it makes you feel any better I know your name too…..Y/N.” With a little smirk on his face. The comment made you smile and out of nowhere this stupid came out of your mouth that was “ Hey! Do you maybe wanna hang out or whatever.” You questioned while fiddling with your fingers. “ yea sure or whatever.” He answered. “ cool” you commented, he replied With a cool too.

“ So I’ll see you tomorrow over here at what time again?” He asked confusingly. “ come by any time ill be here all day.” You answered. “So it’s a date Ms y/l/n.” He announced smugly. “ Maybe it is maybe it isn’t Mr. Nott.”you replied with a smirk on your own darling face.

A/N: skjdkdkdkkd ok sorry to all the girls reading this but I do ONE HUNDRED PERCENT believe that our boy is fruity ASSSSFFF!!!! so here it is :D

It was Just another dull day for Y/N today in welton . Nothing new just the same old stuff. His uncle telling him calling him going on about how he has to work hard and he has the potential but isn’t doing it blablablablablah the same old shit,sitting at a table at lunch alone all to him self listening to music and reading a book. Just as he was going up in his room he bumped into a boy making the boy drop his glasses and Y/N his book.

“Jeez get a new pair of eyes next time you walk around these halls.” Y/N yelled

“ Well jee thx for the suggestion I’ll go to the doctor tomorrow first thing!” The boy yelled back sarcastically.

That’s when Y/N saw him, the brunette haired boy with a stern expression on his face looking at him. “What?” The brunette boy said still mad.

“N-nothing.” Y/N replied back just as sternly but stuttering and failing. “ you know what thanks a lot for breaking my glasses.” The unknown boy said again taking his glasses with him and the broken lens with him. That’s when Y/N realized the boy had dropped his glasses making him think how daft is this pretty boy he bumped into in the hall . He picked the glasses up , going to his room to give them a makeover.

Thinking all night about how Neil will survive without his reading glasses didn’t really get him much sleep which made him get up late and made him miss his first class. He was about to leave his room that’s when he saw his glasses perfectly laid on his study table fixed with a note on the side. He opened the note a smile that he didn’t really have control over took over his face. The note said:

Neil just picked up his glasses and left for his classes thinking about ways to thank the stranger. And also thinking about how his glasses just happened to be in his room like did the boy break in or something he didn’t know? Whatever the reason was Neil couldn’t get the boy out of his mind. At lunch break Neil finally saw him sitting all alone reading a book with headphones in his ears. He knew these types of boys the ones that hated every kid and thought they are so cool and just better than anyone. That made his blood boil but at the same time he got scared too,but he knew that if he didn’t like him in the first place he wouldn’t have left the note and fixed his glasses. He knew just the way to talk to him.

Neil just simply in one class they shared left a note in his bag telling him to meet him in front of the lake.

Neil had been waiting for this boy to arrive for about what 15 minutes or something thinking about how he just ignored the note or didn’t open it? His overthinking was interrupted by a weirdly familiar boy making his way towards him. When Y/N arrived they both didn’t know what to say. They both were looking at eachother with a lot of tension or whatever it was.

“ I -uhh wanted to say was umm that thank you for fixing my glasses or whatever.” Neil started and ended up stuttering like a mess. “ No problem.” Y/N replied in his serious and deep tone. “Hey umm do you wanna talk get to know each other better.” Neil stated as Y/N was about to walk away. “Sure” Y/N replied with a smirk on his face. So they did,they did get to know each other, talked about their interests finally got to know each other’s names which was good bc then they wouldn’t have to call each other unknown boy or whatever. It was safe to say Y/N had finally found a buddy or a person he didn’t find annoying in this school. From that day onwards Neil and Y/N always hung out by the lake away from their problems,school and stress. They became each other’s escape from their messed up lives. If they could make an hour last even more longer than it lasted they would.

A/N: Holy macaroni this is bad 😭but it was my first time writing so don’t kill me I may write a part two,it would be less sucky than this one okii okii byeee :))))

boys would ruffle his hair and tease him

but they all care abt him so much

newt gave him his blanket one time to make sure he was warm

newt also checks up on him regularly to make sure he’s doing alright

alby would check up on him once in awhile too

chuck didn’t leave his side when the first week after he arrived in the box and alby didn’t mind

frypan makes sure he’s always eating enough

sometimes he’ll make a special treat just for chuck

gally taught him some wood carving skills to which he uses to make that little figure he gave thomas

gally carved him this little wooden ivy piece and chuck carries it with him always

chuck likes to hang out with gally

minho teases him the most

but chuck gets his revenge by pranking him

in fact chuck likes pranking the boys

puts rocks in their shoes

hides their clothing around the glade

chuck also likes hanging out with the animals and the animals love him

he gave them all names

now the slicers feel bad whenever they kill one of the animals

“sorry little jack, but today you’re gonna be dinner tonight.”

whenever chuck gets hurt everyone freaks out

he got a small cut once when carving with gally and jeff and clint were not happy

all of the boys are quiet protective of him

newt taught him how to make a flower crown when he first arrived

“it helps me with the anxiety” newt would say

whenever chucks done with his tasks he likes to tag along with one of the boys

either it’s following newt around pretending he’s third in command

or helping frypan experiment in the kitchen

he may have only been in the glade for a month, but he made plenty of memories
