I know that I don't really have a big following here on tumblr but I refuse to be silent about this anywhere.

To anyone who's wondering, "What's happening in the Philippines?" here it is:

We in the Philippines held our elections yesterday, and they are being rigged.

We are at risk of the son of a dictator taking the presidency seat, which endangers our economy, livelihoods, education, safety, and privacy. Every dirty trick in the book happened this election/campaign season - from fake news to broken voting machines and so much more.

The reason why he's in the lead is the result of years upon years of mis- and disinformation and deceit. We cannot afford the Marcoses to take presidency again, not after all the taxpayer money they squandered and the people they had imprisoned, tortured, and killed.

To my fellow Filipinos, continue to fight the good fight. We can't give up now. Di pa tapos ang laban. Kapit lang tayo.

Hello! I really wish I didn't have to do this but, I'm in need of money. Fast. I haven't been online much lately on this account because of multiple problems happening in my life last month. But shit began to hit the fan when our landlady announced she's throwing us out of our rented apartment. She said it's because they're going to rebuild our place into a diner, but in doing so, she's taking away our only home. We still haven't found a house to live in afterwards, but I do know that finding a new apartment and paying its rent would cost so much in this cointry that my dad won't be able to handle it.

So I'm going to do an emergency commission just for this month only. I really won't ask for much except just a few dollars. I'm not confident with my writing just yet but I really want to help out my parents.

Here's my price list!

Commission me for:

($5) 1k-2k words

($8) 2k-3k words

($10) 4k-6k words

($1) 300 words drabble

($5) 500 words essay of any topic. Anything past that will be an additional $1 per 100 words!

If I go past the chosen wordcount, there's no additional payment needed. Count it as a thank-you freebie for helping someone in need!

Let me know if you're okay with the commission piece being posted on my account or not :] It's so I could show people my works as well, and bring in more customers along the way! But I would respect it if you don't want your piece to be posted!

reading books on the couch, hands intertwined

candle lights and dinner tables

cozied up by the fireplace, telling each other about their days

the strum of a guitar by the campfire, eyes tenderly locked to each others', knowing smiles as a familiar lyric reaches your ears

petals falling gently down, they pick off a small blossom that lands on your hair

fireworks light up the night sky, you see the colours burst in their eyes, they look at you lovingly

a massage in the afternoon, the light in the room dimming down with the setting sun

spotlights trained over your dancing figures, the crowd erupting into cheers as you finish off the climax, arm wrapped tightly around their torso, a relieved twinkle in their eyes, satisfied with the performance

a knock on your window, them standing outside in the middle of the night, a bouquet of flowers in their hand

piggyback rides down the dimly lit street, a light-hearted conversation as your night comes to an end

messy bed on a sunday morning, limbs sprawled all over, though hands still interlocked

standing side to side in the bathroom, mouth full of toothpaste foam, entertained grins

movie nights, droopy eyes, warm blankets and a warm body you lean onto

class setting, them leaving sticky notes filled with amusing and motivating little messages in between the pages of your notebook

they make you laugh, candid pictures of your time together

choosing the perfect watermelon together for the first time

sweat dripping down your faces, newly moved in furniture scattered around the half empty, small house

bustling mornings, a rush to get to work, chaste kisses before a quick goodbye

brushing away a strand of hair, cupping their face with both hands

a refreshing breeze, a picnic basket and a red-white gingham cloth spread over the grass, two sandwiches

free to share and use!

Imagine a world where Death and Life is personified and glorified by the people. Death, who is inlove with Life, finally gets the courage and ability to defy their purpose— they stopped giving people the touch of death.

Imagine the assasins that can't kill people anymore. Imagine the frustration of those who feel more pain in living than in death, imagine the chaos of the world as people continued to multiply and no one is dying. Not even the cruelest person that can kick a dog down with no compassion behind their eyes.

Of course, some people will end up revolting from that type of world. Imagine a group of characters, on their way to Death's fucking door (literally) and just screaming at Death to stop being such a love struck bitch and actually do their job.

hello! i've tried before to become part of the writeblr community but my social anxiety has held me back but now i'm ready to try again!

some basic info:

am an avid fan of tragic stories and romance--even better if it has fantasy elements--

i love etymology, theology, mythology, fairytales, & editing

my hobbies besides writing are: reading, studying, playing video games, & making edits

about my writing

the genres i write mainly consist of epic fantasy with a side of romance but i've been trying to branch out into other genres like contemporary fiction. i also sometimes write short stories or poems!

i am currently "refreshing" most of my wips and trying my best to make them coherent

So…

Giants are cool. They’re big and… well just cool.

But, Giants in urban fantasy? Never heard of em in urban fantasy (unless like mini giants) but, they’re cool. So, imagine. Giants in urban fantasy settings, such as…..

A Giant that usually lives in the forest and towers over skyscrapers accidentally finds themselves in a big city. Confused and slightly scared they try their best not to crush anything but, they’re clumsy nature knocks over a few buildings. They have to team up with a human to get back to the forest where they belong.

Giants who work as construction workers in cities where they lift up heavy objects for people like cranes helping to build buildings. They also help with safety by catching humans who might have fallen off of a platform while working.

Search and rescue giants who work to help search for lost people in the woods and mountains They use their navigation skills of these areas to scout out where people might be rescuing them from danger.

Special areas within cities where Giants live! And better yet, what if they live in the sky??? Or deep within forest where they can’t be seen by humans??

Dragons and Giants who have complicated relationships with each other due to their conflict of being the rulers of the sky. However, they sorta have a mutual agreement to not harm one another due to the massive amount of damage it would cause.

Giants that are either disgusted, confused or amused by humans media depictions of them. Especially with stories like Jack and the beanstalk or Jack the giant killer. This is why most older giants don’t associate themselves with humans that much due to the stories. No species wants to be called dumb, evil, or any other name.

Maybe a dragon and a giant bond over the fact that they are “fairytale monsters”. Both sorta laugh it off as humans being paranoid. They think of ways to come up with better more frighting depictions of each other having a fun time becoming friends.

Giants who live over a hundred years old still living in caves and keeping their isolationist nature alive and well only coming out when necessary.

I had this thought while I was trying to find (and I failed) inspirations on how to write the extinct race of Phoenix in my Light Novel :>

And yes, you read that right. Extinct.

I love creating lores and legends set in the past.

I think Phoenixes being rarely used in a fantasy world is abominable.

Yes, I agree that Elves are wonderful to write. Their names are always so ethereal to make and the description of their beautiful land dedicated to nature is something that is too good to pass off, but phoenixes????

Listen. They're described as an unnatural beauty of nature. An anomaly from the creatures like Elves and Fairies that lived for centuries old. Their wings burn bright and colorful, their lives are fleeting but memorable, for it only happens every 500 years until they burn from their own flames and be reborn as something new. Something different from what they were before.

Now imagine that in a fantasy setting. A hero stumbles upon a ceremonial site for the rebirth of ashes and continuation of life. The hero watches as a bird with the plumage of gold and red burns bright in the middle of the forest. From its traces, it rises a bird no longer— but a human, skin smooth as a newborn baby and hair flowing like the flames of a funeral pyre.

The rite of the Phoenix is a transient beauty, and now, it's in your choice if such beauty is prolonged in the eyes of the witnesses, or if their image of it is burned alongside the old life of the reborn creature.
