"The only comics where he (Damian) gets *any* character development is Robin 2021 and B&R."

Have you ever read Robin: Son of Batman...? I recommend it. It's a pretty telling, touching story!

Characters that I wish to see more in Al Ghul Family fanon and utilizied more in Damian content because I can’t do it myself. More so fanon headcanons for domestic reasons because I am personally very hyperfixated and I wanna show the whole family tree.
Sensei. Sassy old man. Ra’s Al Ghul’s dad and Damian’s great-great grandfather.
Mother Soul/Ruh Al Ghul. Damian’s great-great grandmother. Ra’s al Ghul’s mother. She gives me very hysterical, traditional grandma type vibes.
Tumblr media
Ra’s Al Ghul. Damian’s grandfather. Sorra, Talia’s not-mother. (last name idk, sorry queen) Sorra’s Ra’s late wife but her death sent him spiraling. She’s deceased. Ra’s personally gives me very, very boomer vibes like he’s a lazy grandpa that’s out of the loop on everything.
Tumblr media
Melanesia. Talia’s mother. Dami’s grandma Deceased.
Tumblr media
Nyssa Al Ghul. Dusan. Talia Al Ghul. These are the most annoying siblings you’ll ever meet and for domestic purposes, I’ll say they are all close. Nyssa causes the most trouble.
Tumblr media
Mara. Damian’s cousin. Bratty but her and Damian get along, they didn’t always but I think they’re very sweet. This is Dusan’s daughter.
Tumblr media
Respawn (he has no name) This is Damian’s brother. They both share a mother. (This also puts Slade Wilson in on the family tree but he’s horrible so I disown him and so would respawn) Since he doesn’t have a name, I’ll give him a cute brother nickname. How about Ressie or Rez (Meaning to come back to life) till someone comes up with something better. I know we have a lot of feelings about Respawn but I think it would also be really nice to still use him in fanon for healing on the character’s part.
Rez is the brattiest, meanest older brother you could ever ask for. Their dynamic would be cute in a I annnoy you because I love you type of way.
Heretic will also need a name but I can’t come up with anything but the arabic word for Heretic and that doesn’t seem convenient. If anyone has any ideas for a nickname for him, I’d love that. To me, he’s also any annoying older brother but much worse than respawn. He’s the type to play fight.
+ Anthanasia Al Ghul. Dami’s long lost sister (or twin). She can either have a fun twin dynamic with Dami. Or have a older sister dynamic with everyone where she keeps her brothers from killing each other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I would also like to mention that Bruce counts in a way because Ra’s considers Bruce his son.
If I missed anyone, misremembered someone, got anything incorrect. Please tell me. Even if they have family in else worlds I’ll be happy with someone adding them as well.

Helloooo! I hope you don't mind me asking, but how do you write a character going through suicidal urges or a martyr complex?? Sorry if it sounds much. Just need some insight. 😣🙏🙏🙏
Have a wonderful day!
Hi, thanks for asking!
Writing about a character experiencing suicidal urges or a martyr complex requires sensitivity and careful consideration. Here are some things to keep in mind:
Research and Understanding: Before diving into writing about these topics, it's essential to research and understand the psychological aspects of suicidal urges and martyr complexes. This includes understanding the underlying causes, symptoms, and potential consequences.
Character Development: Create a well-rounded character with depth and complexity. Consider their background, experiences, relationships, and any past trauma or mental health issues that may contribute to their current state.
Internal Monologue: Show the character's internal struggle and thought process. Explore their conflicting emotions, rationalisations, and justifications for their actions or desires.
External Behaviors: Depict how the character's suicidal urges or martyr complex manifest in their external behaviors. This could include withdrawal from social interactions, reckless behavior, self-sacrificing actions, or expressions of hopelessness.
Dialogue: Use dialogue to reveal the character's thoughts and feelings indirectly through conversations with other characters. Pay attention to their tone, language, and what they choose to reveal or conceal.
Supporting Characters: Explore the impact of the character's suicidal urges or martyr complex on those around them. This could involve depicting how friends, family members, or other characters react and attempt to support or intervene.
Avoid Glamorisation: It's crucial to portray these themes in a realistic and responsible manner, avoiding romanticisation or glamorisation of suicide or martyrdom. Highlight the consequences and potential harm associated with such behaviors.
Here are some tips on actually writing the character:
Use Descriptive Language: Use vivid and evocative language to describe the character's emotions, surroundings, and inner turmoil. This can help immerse the reader in the character's perspective and evoke empathy.
Explore Inner Conflict: Delve into the character's internal conflict by portraying their conflicting desires, fears, and rationalisations. Show how they grapple with the urge to end their life or sacrifice themselves for a perceived greater good.
Create Tension: Build tension in the narrative by introducing obstacles, setbacks, or conflicting motivations that challenge the character's resolve. This can keep the reader engaged and invested in the character's journey.
Use Multiple Perspectives: Consider incorporating multiple perspectives, such as those of friends, family members, or bystanders, to provide different insights into the character's struggles and their impact on others.
Include Moments of Hope: Balance the darker aspects of the character's experiences with moments of hope, connection, or small victories. These moments can provide relief for the reader and reinforce the character's resilience.
Avoid Stereotypes: Be mindful of avoiding stereotypes or clichés when portraying characters with suicidal urges or martyr complexes. Each individual's experience is unique, so strive for nuance and complexity in your portrayal.
Hope this helped ❤

The Catcher In the Rye: Holden, the main narrator, was a teenager bringing light of his childhood experiences and events after he got kicked out from Pency Prep. His perspective on those times were preferably neutral and highly pessimistic, his view on the people around him filled with internal hatred, jealously, grief, and loneliness—with a lost sense of stability confirmed by his "fall" from his former (and favorite) teacher, Mr. Antolini.
I feel like many people have a fundamental misconception of what unreliable narrator means. It's simply a narrative vehicle not a character flaw, a sign that the character is a bad person. There are also many different types of unreliable narrators in fiction. Being an unreliable narrator doesn't necessarily mean that the character is 'wrong', it definitely doesn't mean that they're wrong about everything even if some aspects in their story are inaccurate, and only some unreliable narrators actively and consciously lie. Stories that have unreliable narrators also tend to deal with perception and memory and they often don't even have one objective truth, just different versions. It reflects real life where we know human memory is highly unreliable and vague and people can interpret same events very differently

Wait, you ship damirae? But you often interact with my damijon content
Oh! 🤯 Hi! I didn't expect to get an ask! 👋
To say it simply, I did ship Damirae, just not as much as I used to. Mostly because I've been thinking between the two as individual characters and... it just wasn't my type. I still like content involving them, though. It's bittersweet and funny at times!
Same with Damijon. I don't ship them together, but I still find content around the two to be fun and nice to look at! Especially their chaotic dynamic together—its contagious, lol!
