This book has a good pace and was a great whodunit! This book has a little bit of everything! Funny characters, friendship, high school drama, even a little bit of the supernatural, and plenty of action! There were many times I had trouble putting it down, so after one very late night, I was done a few hours after work the next day! The characters are ones I definitely enjoyed, so hopefully, there will be another book! Thank you, Rockstar Book Tours, Jeff Wooten, and CamCat Books, for sharing this wonderful book with me!

Book Review…The Counterfeit Wife by Mally Becker At the General’s request, Becca and Daniel travel to Philadelphia to track down traitors who are flooding the city with counterfeit money. Searching for clues, Becca befriends the wealthiest women in town, while Daniel seeks information from the city’s printers. With time running out and their faux marriage breaking apart, Becca and Daniel find themselves searching for a hate-driven villain who’s ready to kill again. The Counterfeit Wife is the second in the A Revolutionary War Mystery series and it reads fine as a standalone. I really enjoyed this one! The pace was a little slow at times but it was full of tension enough that it's hard to put down once it gets going. I found the details of the post Revolutionary War to be fascinating and the vivid descriptions just added to it. Overall it was an interesting and entertaining story! So on the 11th we all went to a farmers market and by the afternoon of the 12th every single one of us that went was sick. By the 13th everyone in all six households except for 5 people were sick but everyone has tested positive for covid. So far other than body aches, fever and a really bad headache that is all we have so hopefully in the next day or so we will all start to feel better and be able to get back to posting. But I wanted to let you guys know what was going on and keep you posted. The world building is familiar but not. There's been advancements in many areas. The characters are likeable and they have some very interesting stories. The pace is set so you won't be able to put the book down. I was truly sad to see the end come and then the way it ended but that just means I'll be able to visit this world again! Hopefully soon! This is the second book in the Soul series and just like the first one it has adventure and plenty of that creepy mysterious vibe making it a great read for this time of year! I really enjoy this author's writing style! There were some great twists and it was nice to be back with some of the familiar characters and meet some new ones! This was a fast read so hopefully we will be getting another book for this series! Book Review…Outside Nowhere by Adam Borba Charming and funny, Parker Kelbrook can wriggle out of anything. This was a fantastic magic realism story with great writing and full of inspiration! I love the cover! I sat down with Jacks in the afternoon and we were down by 8pm and we loved every minute of it! But with the amount of baggage between them and Willow’s growing conviction her family might be cursed can they manage to hold onto each other? I'm usually not big on the small town romance novels but this one was wonderful! It has a touch of magic, first love and mystery but it's that mixed with the real life situations that make it a compelling story. The story is told from two points of view, Mason and Willows and they both have a powerful story that pulls you in and always wanting more. This is probably one of my favorite books this year. It reminded me why I love reading young adult books! The story is told from four different points of view and I know some don't care for that but it was easy to follow along and keep track of who was who. The world building was done wonderfully. The characters are compelling; you really can't help but get tangled up with everything they have going on! It's a fast-paced story that pulls you in. Fantastic story I can't wait for the next book! This is the second book in the Gold Spun duology and it picks up right where it left off in book one. It was enjoyable and a quick read. There were some interesting twists and turns of events. The world building was one of my favorite things about this series and this book just added to my enjoyment. I read Gold Spun when it first came out and I went back and reread it before I started this one and I'm glad I did so I definitely recommend reading it in order. Book Review…The Wolves Are Watching by Natalie Lund The night little Madison disappears from her crib, Luce sees a pair of eyes, two points of gold deep in the forest behind her house and feels certain they belong to a wolf. But when Luce's English teacher shares an original script about the disappearance of another little girl in Picnic back in 1870, Luce begins to notice similarities. Certain that something deeper is going on, Luce tracks the wolf she saw into the woods and uncovers the truth: magical animal women have taken her cousin for their own purposes and they have no intention of bringing her back. This was an nice read! It's a well paced story with that spooky feel making it a good read for the Halloween season. I liked the main characters Luce and Fanya and the mystery of the plot. There was enough mystery that I wanted to keep reading to find out what would happen next. But if you're looking for a book that has some magic, a whole lot of suspense and a touch of romance then you will like this one! It was a nice second chance romance! I really liked Dunni's character and Obinna the complimented each other. The romance between Dunni and Obinna was one that I enjoyed especially Dunni you could tell and feel how much she loved and cared for him but with Obinna for some reason I didn't feel the same with him. A quick, fun, weird and disturbing story that would be great for the fall season! Rory has such a dark sense of humor but it fits perfectly to the book! She was a great character! You never knew what she was going to do next or who she was going to piss off! There's a little bit of romance which was ok. I do wish there was a little more to it but everything else about the book was good! Overall it's a fun and quick paranormal romance read with some mystery and plenty of humor!
