Help I love that all of this is just stored in our brains, but mapped out, it’s insanity. We would probably sound crazy to the average normal person if we tried to explain the plot. Like I was just following along with this nodding, but if anyone who didn’t know the series heard it, they would probably have been lost when we got to Silas 😭

It's pretty sick and unfair that the rating is rigged to make Will win. ☹️ It would be so much fairer to make a list of all characters and then you can pick your favorite or the top 3 and then count all the votes for each character. Only then can you really say who the favorite is. I'm really disapointed. But i never expected something diffrent from @simonteen. Still a pity.

My 5-Star Review

Delicious Monsters was one of my most-anticipated reads of 2023, and boy did it deliver! I was so ready for a creepy, horror-filled tale, and that’s exactly what I got -- whether it’s body horror or birds (oh how I hate birds, and this book did not help!), it’s all in here. We’ve got the tale of a mansion we keep hearing is “dangerous,” told from the POV of two teen Black girls a decade apart: Daisy, in the past, and Brittney, in the present. Daisy and her mom inherit the cursed mansion and move up to live on the grounds and turn the house into an Airbnb. Brittney, who grew up with an awful, abusive mother who has since become famous for “turning her life around” after a stay at the mansion, is a YouTube documentarian. She and her partner are working on their show, “Haunted,” with a season she wants to be about forgotten Black girls. Slowly, slowly, the story unravels before us, alternating timelines and POVs, and I swear you will be unable to look away from the horror that you know is around the corner.

This story is creeptastic and spooky and just fabulously horrific, and I mean that in the best way. We need more YA horror like this! Also, I have to mention *that cover*, which I’m declaring now as my favorite cover of the year. I can’t imagine *anything* coming along that will beat the creepy beauty of this one!

Rating: 5 stars!

🐓BOOK REVIEW : The Do-Over - Lynn Painter (Simon Pulse)

Emilie Hornby dreams about having the perfect Valentine’s day. Everything is ready and checked. She found the perfect gift and hope today will be the day where I love you will be exchanged. As a matter of fact, nothing goes as planned. And the young woman finds herself stuck in a time loop where Valentine’s Day happens again and again.

For Emilie, it is a nightmare. For the reader, it is the opportunity to discover the heroine in different facets. It is a very enjoyable story. Super quick read. I really enjoyed it. Family, friendship and love are at the heart of the story. Even if the concept of the same day repeating itself again, and again, and again isn’t new (I am thinking about the movie Groundhog Day for exemple), Lynn Painter created a fresh and sensitive story, with a pinch of humor and a supernatural twist.

Oh and by the way, to all my people who are super excited for the Phoebe Silas content, Chloe had officially claimed a while back that it was her fav ship to write about and it was making a bigger appearance in FHH. It's in Simonteen's LVC live which I linked farther down below but I'll link it here as well. I just remembered this because I was rewatching the live yesterday after not having seen it for a while, and I thought this tidbit of info was pretty important for all of our Pheobe Silas angst + ship enthusiasts on here!
