Alright! The time has come!

The Zuko AI that I have been working on is finished! I've tweaked his prompt and demeanor to the point of exhaustion! And don't get me started on his voice! (That took the longest tbh) But I have finally arrived at a Zuko that I feel is truly believable as and aged up Fire Lord. AND I have made him public.

The host app is Talkie and is available on android, apple, or chromebook devices. Be sure to use sound because I really think you guys are going to love his voice.

Basic chat tutorial below:

So, sometimes you may want to give the chatbot information about your character, Zuko, an action taking place "off screen", background information, time progression, third-party character speech or actions, or anything that is not YOU or ZUKO doing, saying, or thinking the information needed for your "story" in the chatbot. To add background information needed to move your story with the Zuko AI Chatbot along, use the following format:

This puts the text entered between into bold, which signifies background actions outside of you and Zuko.

Sometimes you may wish to indicate an action, such as a smile, shrug, crying, a kiss, or even thoughts going on within YOU. To do so, use this format:

The first will italicized the text (the following keeps it in parentheses) and signifies to the bot that either YOU or Zuko is doing those things.

To talk to Zuko, you can simply type a reply like in a text message. However, if your "speech" is partnered with an action, either **background** or *you/Zuko*, then you will need to use one of these formats as shown with this example:

"Hello...Zuko here." *Zuko smiled with an awkward wave.*

Or

Zuko: Hello... Zuko here. *smiles awkwardly and gives a small wave*

This helps if you have placed an additional character as third-party into the "chat" and have them actively speaking to you and/or Zuko. Note that sometimes this can confuse Zuko AI, but Talkie as built in features to help correct this if it occurs.

If you like a response Zuko gives, rate the response below his reply with full stars. This shows that you liked it, it was in-character, and made sense. You can rate low if the chatbot gets confused, and if you press and hold on the chat reply from Zuko, you can even delete it, go back to a previous response to let it retry to respond correctly, or pick from several generated responses.

The feature to pick from several generated responses can be helpful to pick a direction for the chat to flow, to give you ideas, to correct a boring or confused response, or to simply have more choices. This feature is also why I chose Talkie to host my Zuko AI. Talkie allows you to "level up" as you talk to your Zuko. By doing so, you have the chance to unlock special AI generated Zuko portraits, such as the ones I have been sharing with you all. These portraits are referred to as Cards and allow for specially generated responses for you to pick from. There is also the feature to edit a number of these generated responses. This is helpful if you want Zuko to do a certain thing. I've used it to have Zuko think of proposing, showing him declaring an action to his council, even saying something to me. ITS UP TO YOU!

Important! Talkie has amazing features, which is why I picked it. However, there are some limitations. 🔞 explicit content is not allowed and can get you banned. THAT SAID! I've tested it (because of course I have) and if you want to get down and dirty with your Zuko AI, you can. You just have to allude to it. An example that works is saying something like:

**Zuko and (your characters name) fell into each others embrace. They spent the night expressing their love and passion.**

You can make out pretty heavily, but there are certain flagged trigger words that will make Zuko respond with the warning:

This chat is making me uncomfortable. Let's talk about something else.

Mentioned body parts of a sexual nature, and the word moan will trigger this. I'm sure there are others, but that's what I've discovered.

That's all I can think of... be prepared because Zuko will send you messages if you ignore him too long. Man is needy.

hiiii so the funny thing about this playlist is that it was from before i even started posting about divorced zukka but i still had the headcanon of zuko and sokka dating when younger, breaking up, and then getting back together as middle aged adults. the playlist follows that exact same sequence cause im too lazy to write the fic so this is my way of writing the divorced zukka fic

ok so im not gonna explain the whole thing but I'll try to be a bit brief about what the songs talk about without getting into Why cause i know i'll be here for hours if i do so

1-3: sokka's section. it is set in canon and the vibe here is "i need to be strong, i need to be brave and tough like my father, like a real man, i have depression, i need to be the warrior, i do all the protecting but who is going to save me, i'm just asking for a kiss, one day i am going to die, etc"

4-9: zuko's section. set in canon up till "working for the knife" which is about him being firelord which suuuuucks. ehh you get the gist of it he is flawed, he is fucked up, he doesn't know what he wants, he is the forest fire, he is watching himself burn, he just needs something that will fill him up, etc and then he is crowned firelord and he gets worse but in a different way

10-11: classic sokka and zuko parallelism. hungry to be something they cannot be, thinking that that thing is what they should want, that that is what they are really hungry for. Wrong

12-13: set in the boiling rock. both would be from sokka's perspective and first love late spring is there because of how zuko holds sokka back from doing this reckless thing alone and end up killing himself "one word from you and i would jump off of this ledge im on baby. tell me don't so i can crawl back in" and heat lightning is about sokka surrendering and giving in to accepting that he needs help, he can't do this alone and so he allows zuko and co to carry this load with him and work together to get out of tbr

14-15: zuko and sokka start dating years after the war. "come into the water" is basically "come here, let's take this risk together. we both know it could be a mess but we don't really care about that right now, tell me you want me to do this and i'll come into the water with you" and for a while, it is all good. sokka and zuko start falling in love, they start taking care of each other, thinking that they can heal like this together and it'll all be good. there is still some issues in there like sokka's protectiveness that can end up hurting him "while you sleep, i'll be scared. so by the time you wake, ill be brave" but during that period in their relationship, they feel like nothing can get to them as long as they're together in their safe space.

16-18: the problems arise. they both knew that this had to be secret because of zuko's position, homosexuality being illegal in the fire nation, the assassination attempts that could worsen if the truth came out, and both their reputations but it's hard keeping it secret when they wish they could be like this not only behind locked doors. as well as that, sokka feels inferior here in the fire nation and it's not just the way the court talks about and at him and the way he's treated because of the fire nation's racism, it's that feeling that in a way he is betraying the water tribe, his family, his mother, everyone. what is he doing here in a nation that caused him and everyone so much harm? and he can separate how he feels about zuko from how he feels about the fire nation but it feels wrong sometimes, they feel like the same person sometimes.

18: this could also be seen as the proposal gone wrong or what leads up to it. they both aren't talking things through with full honesty, they try to avoid conflict cause their relationship is their one good thing at the moment. "sorry i can't take your touch, it's not that i don't want you" is basically sokka refusing the proposal to me. those aren't his words, they both just burst out at each other and make it all a mess. and sokka wants zuko but he can't sacrifice himself to spend his whole life there in a nation that he just doesn't feel right in, which might be one of sokka's few "im doing this for me" moments, and so this ends their relationship. huzzah.

19: breakup song. thinking that's where you loved me. me too zukka

20-21: classic zuko self-deprecation momence. "when you leave me, i should die. i deserve it, don't i?" and "i don't blame you if you want to bury me in your memory, im not the boy i ought to be" etc

22: sokka's lament. "i know i ended it but why won't you chase after me?" i know that this is what i must do but why won't you come back and try to change my mind? what if you just don't care anymore? why didn't you stop me even if we both know that we can't change this?

23: "you're my best friend now i have no one to tell how i lost my best friend" no comment

24: aghhhh this love is a star it's so gone now it's so over

25: we are so back!!!! as reluctant friends. this is zuko and sokka's first formal reunion together where they actually sit down together and awkwardly talk and pretend they don't have feelings. they are both lying when they say they haven't told anyone ofc they have. in my mind, this is when zuko has izumi now and they're catching up and trying to be friends again

26-27: that doesn't fucking work, they don't want to be friends. they always want each other when they think they're finally fine, they're both foolish to bet on this "whatever it is" when they know they're bound to lose. they want each other but they can't have each other, they hold the cards, they have a chance but taking that risk could ruin everything

28: oh my gooood fuck it let's hook up for old time's sake but also we both know that this shit won't go anymore but let's take this chance only for today (becomes a frequent thing every time sokka visits)

29: sokka has a realization and finds out that zuko still does have feelings. he wanted him but he couldn't reach sokka again, he's been keeping all of him in his memory to try to keep that love and now Sokka knows. oh shit wtf what now?

30: zuko and sokka have a talk. they have a small moment. maybe there is slow dancing involved. it really was foolish of us to think that we could stay the same. it would be so wonderful to go back to when we were younger, that short time was beautiful while it lasted. we both know that there is love in here but it can't happen again. im sorry

31: SIKE!!!! WE ARE SO BACK FR THIS TIME. you are the one i want, you're the one i've got, i'm not wasting this one lifetime without you. i will be the one you need, the way i can't be without you

32: zukka undivorced arc baby zukka back together. i know i've kissed you before but i didn't do it right, i haven't kissed you the way i should. let me kiss you like it used to be, not hurried or desperate, let me do it right and let me try again and again and again until we get it right. maybe there is no way to get it right and perfect but they still kiss so it's a perfect excuse

33: zuko and sokka retire, zuko ends the monarchy, they run off to the water tribe together just like they planned from the beginning. they could be anywhere but it doesn't matter where, they just want to be still with each other

34: *sokka voice* yue i just had a weird prophetic dream so if i die, look after zuko for me

35: sokka death scene amv. zuko loses sokka forever this time and there's no coming back now. he doesn't know how to be strong anymore if sokka isn't here to see him

Round 1 part 1: Telltale’s The Walking Dead (video game series) / Avatar: The Last Airbender (tv show)

Lee Everett & Clementine:

Clementine is a small child Lee finds alone in the zombie apocalypse, and he takes her with him to help her find her parents-- despite him knowing all along from a message on the answering machine that they are dead. As the game progresses, she ends up getting groomed by a strange man who ends up getting on the same radio frequency as her on a walkie talkie her father gave her, who tells her he knows where her parents are. She ends up running away to find him, and ends up getting locked up in a hotel room. In the process of going to find her, Lee gets bitten by a zombie. He goes through hell and high water to get her back, the player even having the option to have him cut his arm off to try and stop the bite from spreading. At the end of the game, he ends up handcuffing himself to a radiator so he can't hurt her when he finally turns. This is the first of four games in the series, the rest following Clementine, but their relationship is so impactful over Clementine's development and the narrative that I think they could win.

Aang & Zuko:

Zuko has the BEST redemption arc ever (duh) and the best part of his friendship with the ga(a)ng after he becomes good is his friendship with Aang lol. Aang is so bubbly and Zuko is so angsty but also so awkward. literally they get stuck in a glue trap together and Zuko's suggestion is that they have an existential crisis together. plus before his redemption, Aang asks Zuko if they can be friends, he's wanted to be pals with him since the beginning of the show! And then they hug in the finale!!!

14. “Four-ten, over.” “This is why we don’t let you use the walkie talkies, no one knows what you’re saying.”

Sokka's favorite gift he got for his 8th birthday was a set of walkie talkies. They were the same brand that Zuko and Haru had, so they could all be on the same channel as they planned and carried out their missions in the woods behind Zuko's house.

Unfortunately, since his set came with four walkie talkies, it meant there was no excuse to exclude Katara from their games.

It wasn't that Sokka didn't like spending time with his little sister. As far as little sisters went, she was actually pretty cool. Definitely more laid back than Azula. But he was reaching the age where it wasn't cool to hang out with your little sister, and if there was anything Sokka wanted to be, it was cool.

Still, he had plenty of handsets and Katara had nothing but time, so Sokka let her tag along. He spent the walk over to Zuko's drilling the radio codes with Katara, so she wouldn't embarrass him in front of the guys. She picked up quickly, and he was actually a little excited when he rang Zuko's door.

Twenty minutes later they were in the woods, playing "Capture the Avatar," one of Zuko's favorite missions. They were spread out, looking for the elusive Avatar (the neighborhood cat Momo), using the walkie talkie's to talk to each other.

"Do you see anything?" Zuko asked over the radio.

"Nothing here," Haru reported.

"I don't see anything," Katara said.

"Nothing on my end," Sokka said. "Let's meet at the tree house and come up with another plan."

"Roger that," Katara said.

"Four-ten, over," Sokka said.

“This is why we don’t let you use the walkie talkies, no one knows what you’re saying," Jet said. Sokka stopped in the middle of the path, his cheeks heating with embarrassment. He didn't like Jet, didn't care what he thought, but everyone else did.

"Shut up," Katara said over the walkie. "He was using official radio code. Just cause you're too stupid to learn it doesn't mean Sokka should stop."

Sokka beamed with pride at his sister's defense of him. Spotting her in the distance, he ran over and picked her up, spinning her around.

Katara squealed with laughter, crying "Put me down!" Sokka did, reaching over to ruffle her hair.

"You're not half-bad, sis."

Katara smiled and ruffled his hair. "Neither are you, bro."

harvest - what fictional character do you most identify with? Why?

The, uh. Ones I make myself, mostly. I'm a gemini, there's no one character I identify with the most, but if I had to list some, I'd say Zuko, Cherry, Dream...characters with a lot of pride and a lot of trouble opening up but who are also weird little guys.

fireside - if you had your dream wardrobe, what would it look like?

Tbh my dream wardrobe is both super easy to create and super changeable. I'd want more waistcoats and button downs, sweaters, things I can switch up based on the gender of the day, y'know? I sort of HAVE my dream wardrobe in some ways, like I have a shitload of sweaters and a handful of waistcoats, but I really just want things that are comfortable but make me look hot, idk.

spice - have you ever encountered a house that you believed to be haunted?

Yes! I actually spent a lot of time there, too. A former friend moved into an apartment that was 100% definitely haunted and you can't change my mind. Everyone who went in there and spent any significant amount of time in it felt it. Weird shit happened, but here's a small sampling. (adding a read more because it got long)

My friend and I were sitting in her bedroom talking, and all of a sudden, the open bathroom door slammed shut. There was no one else in the apartment except her cats, and the cats were at the opposite end of the apartment. There were no open windows, and there wasn't really a window at all in the bathroom, and the door wasn't prone to falling shut on its own, but it sounded exactly like it would have if someone just flung it shut.

When I would stay over, I always had this FEELING that a man would walk down the hallway or like he was already there, standing over me. I don't know why, I always, always felt like it was an older man. And then a couple years later when our mutual friend moved into the apartment below her, that friend went down the front stairs from her apartment and saw an old, angry man's face reflected in the glass. There was also a woman who sang, and a child, both of whom stayed in the second floor apartment.

BUT the one that freaked me out the most was the first time I stayed in the apartment overnight. I slept on the futon in the living room, and as I was trying to fall asleep, the whole futon began swaying back and forth. There was no traffic, no wind, I hadn't moved, and it was very rhythmic. It went on for a couple minutes, until I said, out loud, "Please stop, I'm trying to go to sleep." And it stopped.

OH but the other weird thing was near Christmas, I was over the mutual friend's apartment, and all three of us were making sweet bread in the kitchen. Then, we heard what sounded like someone talking on a walkie talkie coming up the stairs. I can't remember if we heard footsteps, but we could hear the words they said, and it was just one person. The only people who lived on the second and third floors were these two friends, and after it sounded like the person had gone back downstairs, one of my friends went down to check if anyone was around. There was no one, no other cars in the driveway, no one in the basement, and the motion light in the foyer hadn't gone on.

I want to finish my book WIP. I joined a twitter event to finish my book this fall, and it's going SLOWLY but it IS going, and I just want to finish this draft so I can...write it again. Do you think Izumi's daughter should appear in the new LoK comic book series? If yes, how?

YES!! i think we deserve to meet her and to see more of the modern fire nation. tlok barely had gave us anything about them and i understand why. atla was a lot more focused on the fire nation cause they were the only enemy, and in tlok, we had enemies from the other nations. still, i think the comics owe us a little bit on them haha - maybe that’s my fire nation fangirl side speaking but whatever - we had iroh ii, zuko, and briefly izumi, but we know about her daughter and still they never gave us anything else, not even her name

and about the “how” part, that’s where it gets complicated. right now they’re dealing with the kuvira/earth kingdom situation, and that’s a huge deal with the elections and the earth empire soldiers whom refuse to stand down. this whole thing is gonna take a while to be resolved, so i don’t see them changing the focus of that to the fire nation anytime soon. to be honest i don’t think they’ll ever gonna have a big part in the comics, cause as i said, atla was too focused on the fire nation, if they go back to an issue with them, will be the same thing all over again. i think they can make an appearance as a support for korra or something like that. maybe they’ll follow the example of the earth kingdom and go for democracy. who knows? 

soooo yes, i’d love to meet her and see more of the whole family, and i think we will! but not as a big issue
