For her first public appearance, she'd be dressed to the nines! A tailor-made ocean-blue and off-white ball gown by none other than the famous Chiori herself. Her hair would be decorated with real pearls. A recurring theme in all her jewelry. After all, it's only fitting that Neuvillette's darling be graced by the loveliest gems of his domain.

They'd glide across the dance floor, smooth like the waves of a tranquil ocean. Neuvillette would twirl his darling ever so elegantly in his arms. When the song nears its end he dips her, slowly teasing her with a passionate kiss. Poor darling can already hear the excited gossip amongst the court. Sweet speculations muttered behind opened fans.

Now since Neuvillette would keep his darling locked away from the world. She'd no doubt develop some social anxiety. The ball is such a stressor for her. Killing her quietly. She can't stand the way everyone's eyes bore into her. How their mumbles buzz in her ears. Neuvillette's gloved hand holds her delicate one in an iron grasp, as he sends her a reassuring smile. It's been centuries now, he knows she's not going to escape. Still, he prefers to make her ever-present. Somewhere in reach.

As the ball nears its end. The Iudex and his mysterious "mistress" disappear. Fading away like rain. By the next day, the whole court is in disarray, obsessively trying to piece together who Neuvillette's new lover is.

Somewhere in Café Lutece Furina and Chiori exchange knowing smiles. As they lean in whisper the most outlandish theories they've heard so far, to none other than the Iudex and his darling themselves.

How arguing with Yan Furina would be like? Reader doesn't try to run away anymore and kinda accepted their situation, but is still salty and displeased about a lot of things (or Furina is just being too difficult and reader didn't actually do anything) and this leads to arguments.

Also, imagine reader making a line of pillows in the middle of their shared bed after an argument (being probably an only possible way of expressing their dissatisfaction), so Furina wouldn't cuddle them and she looses it and makes such a big deal as if reader is divorcing her and taking away their kids.

Yandere!Venti finding out you had your older sister, La Signora, helped you sneak out of Mondstat and flee back to Snezhnaya would make him so upset. Not only had the blonde gotten away with stealing his gnosis, but she had also managed to steal his beloved from him. He can’t outright storm into Snezhnaya after you, but he’ll certainly look for other ways to get back at you for this. 

It had been weeks since anyone had seen you or Venti, after a sudden visit from a handful of Fatui members, there had been a lack of sights or either of you. Typically you were only seen out and about with Venti, only occasionally able to wander about on your own, but lately there was no sight of you at all. Knocks at your home were sometimes answered by Venti, but the male always had this crazed, disheveled look to him. Like he hadn’t slept in weeks or had been up late into the night working deeply on a project. Since you vanished, so did Venti’s public sightings. No longer did he visit the Tavern regularly, or visit Marjorie for gifts or even Blanche for weekly groceries. It was like both of you had simply fallen off the face of the world.

Yandere!Zhongli finding out you escaped back to Snezhnaya with the help of your cousin, Tartaglia, he had been disappointed, both in you and Childe. Due to a longstanding contract with the Tsaritsa, he’s unable to go and retrieve you himself, but he’s thankfully got a few faithful followers willing to help out. 

Zhongli had entrusted your safe retrieval to his most loyal follower, Xiao. Zhongli himself was forbidden from going to the snowy, frozen over place of Snezhnaya, but his beloved page, Xiao, could go as far into the white plains as desired. Of course, Zhongli’s expectations of Xiao being able to get you aren’t incredibly high, he knows how strong some of the Harbingers are and he doubts they’ll willingly hand you over. Whether they care for you or not, he knows that they enjoy being difficult for no reason. He does have a small bit of hope though, watching, waiting to see if either of you will return. 

Yandere!Raiden, having found out you were taken from her by Scaramouche, her former Acolyte, would be fuming. She would tear Snezhnaya apart looking for you, having to be put down by the Tsaritsa herself. Her rampage is one that makes history books in all regions, so vicious and cruel that Snezhnaya never really recovers.

Rescue? That’s what that pathetic excuse for a son dared to claim when he stole you away from her. That he was rescuing you. What bullshit. Raiden had never felt such strong resentment in her life, for both you and the boy. With nothing but her rage and her weapon, Raiden storms through Snezhnaya, ripping apart villages and cities searching for you. Logically she knows that you’d be in the Zapolyarny Palace, but she wants to draw the Harbingers out, where she can more easily pick them off. After all, she’d stop at nothing till she got you back.

Yandere!Furina knowing that you escaped Fontaine via the help of Arlecchino would throw a fit like no other. This kind of fit would be so intense that even the Hydro Dragon is unable to calm her. Her fury pools into the tides, causing them to rise above natural levels and flood the city. She doesn’t care what it takes, she’s going to get you back, and if Neuvillette cares any for the region of Fontaine and its inhabitants then he’s going to help.

The storms had raged on for a week now, no longer was it safe to fish, swim, or simply walk the shore. While the sky remained clear and the days bright, the water seemed to never calm, always splashing about and causing terror amongst the residents of Fontaine. Showings of Icewind Suite had to be canceled due to the constant lapping waves splashing over the borders and soaking the performance area. The Court of Fontaine, the main city of the region seemed to hold up ok, the walls bordering it high enough that they didn’t let water pass. It became very clear very quickly though that while the sky wept with the Hydro Dragon, when the Hydro Archon’s fury became untameable, so too did the sea. And they seemed to stand no chance of calming till you came home, bringing the beloved Archon back from her tantrum.

Neuvillette brainrot/headcanon time! So I've spoiled myself on the archon quest, but I do wonder how much of his attitude (as we know it), both his awkwardness in dealing with other people's emotions and in dealing with his own, is due to the fact that he's the chief justice.

As players, we don't know how long he's been around. We don't know how long he's been chief justice. We also don't know how long trials have been a spectacle either. If he's been around for a while, which seems like the case, he's had to have seen it all.

He's had to have seen people beg and plead for their lives in his courtroom. He's had to have seen people mentally break down and/or lash out during trials as they're publicly embarrassed among everyone in Fontaine and in front of the archon. He's had to have seen the disillusionment people have in Justice system play out in the friends and family of the accused, as hidden crimes are brought to light. He's had to have seen and heard people curse his name and Furina's. He's had to have seen children crying in the stands because their parents were placed in jail or put to death.

He's supposed to be this impartial figure. He's supposed to keep order in the court, and be fair to everyone in it. Both for the people of Fontaine, for the archon, and for the instiution of the Court of Fontaine. For everyone's sake, he cannot afford any sort of rumor of him being biased in his decisions. All of his decisions should be based on sound logic and the rule of law.

We are crossing into headcanon territory, but I think Neuvillette's confusion and ultimately, his difficulty in expressing and dealing with emotions in general, stem from the fact that he's always been placed on a pedestal, and he knows it. He's smart enough to understand what his position entails and how important it is in ensuring Justice is served. He's also smart enough to understand what happens when people's faith in Justice and the Court of Fontaine shatters.

For Neuvillette, I think having to shoulder that impartiality day after day for months, years, decades, and millennia on end, as trials are held in the Court, while he presides over them, not only added to his confusion about human rationality and human emotions, and also made it so he hasn't really had to confront his emotions in a more visceral way. If enforcing the law and Justice is what matters, where does his emotions play into it? Is a really interesting idea to think about.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the Neuvillette brainrot thoughts inspired by your post. I'm curious to see how the rest of the Fontaine archon quest plays out.

Ahh, now that is a very, very interesting perspective. It seems to me that you've managed to empathize with Neuvillette beyond what everyone, including us players are seeing and I find it to be fascinating. Because it proves that despite Neuvillette's approach towards the whole matter of emotions and his identity, he's far more.. human than some actual human characters in this game. Even if it isn't the whole reason, I think the hc you presented has contributed to Neuvillette's present state. You cannot see the intricacies of a city while sitting at the top floor of a skyscraper, after all. This is further verified by his final opinion on the case of Navia's father :

But what really sets Neuvillette apart from other yanderes that share similarities with him, is that he's so welcoming and accepting of new perspectives. He just needs an obvious and blunt pointer towards it, which is where patience on the other person's part is required. Subtlety is ineffective with him, wherein a significant amount of human interactions are characterized by it. Neuvillette, in general, is a softer yandere (or well, at least the Neuvillette of the present). What I'm really curious about, is if he's always had this empathetic side to him, or if it's a result of certain experiences ; for example, Zhongli's change in character after meeting Guizhong.

knowing that you loved him in return wasn’t enough, as his obsession started to show through the cracks of his personality. he’s a prince, he can do what he wants. no one will bat an eye if he’s calling for the public executions of people who got too close to you on a whim. open questioning of the prince’s obsession with you may get them killed as well, so no one dared comment on it or treat it as abnormal.

as for you, your personality never annoyed or frustrated him. he thought it was adorable, really. never once did it faze him how bratty you were. you’re royalty anyway, so you’re entitled to whatever it is you want. as long as you NEVER leave his side, maybe then the executions would stop.

not that you mind, because your boyfriend is not only politically powerful, but a beautiful man as well. almost like, maybe some people wouldn’t see his obsession. holding your hand forever, making you feel special, that was all he truly wanted. even if his means to do so were…violent to say the least. anything for you, absolutely ANYTHING. never leave my side, he would say as if you had a choice at all.

💧Ahh Furina, the French Hydro Archon, what can't be said about her? As a yandere she would be Clingy and Obsessive. Once she will fall in love with you, she will never want to be away~

💧 So we all know how she get's bored easily, well she is NEVER bored when you are around! She herself isn't entirely sure why that is the case, why a mere human is just so ... entertaining.

💧 Once she falls in love, she would act like a spoiled, bratty child that wants a new Toy, and that "Toy" just so happend to be you~

💧 At first she would try to get you to become her lover willingly, after all who would decline a proposition like that? But if that aproach would have procent unsuccesfull... she's okay with being a bit forcefull. (And by her I mean Neuvillette, she would just get him to "convince" you)

💧 Once she does get you to herself, she would practicaly never be away from you, your privacy is almost non-existant. She probably would even make you sleep in the same bed as her. (Well, I doubt she needs sleep, but who will stop her from cuddling you until you fall asleep? She just loves how cute her little human is when asleep~)

💧 She probably would take you to court with her, if she Has to sit through it she might as well take you with her so she won't be as bored.

💧 If you ever denied giving her attention, she would throw a tantrum like a child, screaming at you while crying. Overall it wouldn't be a pretty sight :(

💧And don't even think about running away, she would never give you enough time free from her to sneak away, and making a run for it wouldn't end well~

💧 Overall while she wouldn't be the worst yandere to have, it would be a lie to call a situation where you find yourself as her lover a good one.

I'm posting my silly headcanons

Here's an introduction to my genshin au, yes it's modern but I may have interpretated a few things, first of all, it's known as Modernized magic au (Acronym: MMAu)

Next hcs: Nationalities!

To start off, Venti, Zhongli, Ei & Makoto, Nahida, Furina, Murata, Tsaritsa and other god-like characters are all disguised as humans. (Makoto lives in this au)

The Fatui is the mafia for this au.

Sandrone and Dottore are related. (Uncle and niece) (Fun fact: Dottore got arrested for physical violence because he protected Sandrone)

Alrecchino and Eula are twin sisters.

Arlecchino has Spock/elf ears.

Xiangling, Xingqiu, Xu and Yelan are all siblings! (Xu is an npc but I gave him a vision, I see them as siblings)

Xiangling and Xingqiu are twins. (You cannot convince me to change this, I looked at their splasharts.)

Klee and Albedo are biological siblings. (Sue me.)

Sayu is 11 years old but she's in the eighth grade. (She's a smart kid/naturally gifted)

If there's a school play, you can always count on YunJin to operate it and it will always go according to plan.

Freminet had no friends, not until he was approached by Dori, who said she could pair him up with compatible people.

Lyney, Lynette and Freminet were all part of a travelling circus, which meant they were homeschooled by Caesar. (If you saw or played Lyney's story quest, you'd know who Caesar is, and yes, they're all biologically related in this au.)

Layla and Collei love to tease Bennett and Razor about their relationship.

Chongyun fell first but Xingqiu fell harder.

Aloy knows that Tartaglia's real job isn't a teacher. (They're siblings for a reason)

Aloy doesn't like being thrown in the dark, so when she was young, Tartaglia would often give her the attention she needs, despite the fact she was in elementary and he was in highschool, Teucer didn't mind anyway. (I feel bad for saying this since Aloy is neglected in game as well)

Furina(Focalors) had always loved Venti(Barbatos), after he "ascended" to Celestia, she believed she could never find him again... Well, she was wrong, she did find him.

Xinyan always thought why Lyney always had a face of guilt when they discuss about falling from high places. Maybe a bad memory?

HuTao watches over Qiqi since they're both adopted by Baizhu, HuTao always makes sure that Qiqi is close by or guarded by her best friends.

Kujou Sara is infertile so she adopted Bennett and YaoYao with Arataki Itto

Tsaritsa, Sucrose, Xiangling, Bennett, Dori and Diona are the student council.

Mika is a transmasc, he transitioned when he was young.

Freminet has a spade on his face as a birthmark, like his brother and sister.

Paimon, Lumine and Aether are all siblings. (I adore it when people give the three the sibling dynamic, they share a braincell.)

Chongyun has a yandere-ish side he won't show Xingqiu.

Tighnari adopted Collei and Razor before he married Cyno. (Cyno met Nari through Nilou, so technically, Cyno is a dad-dad, not stepdad.)

Nilou is the rich aunt and she places work before love so y'all know damn well she spoils her neice and nephew. (I love aroace Nilou)

Cyno and Nilou are siblings.

Arataki Itto and Kuku Shinobu are half-siblings. (Itto is about 4-5 years older than Shinobu. Itto's mom died so his dad remarried and then Shinobu came into the world, and Itto was protective of her during their highschool years)

Gaming and Chongyun are twin brothers. (Chongyun is the introvert and Gaming is the extrovert)
