#women who dont follow trends
"girls support girls-" okay but are you normal about queer women? are you normal about BIWOC? are you normal about disabled women? are you normal about autistic women? are you normal about fat women? alternative women? unattractive women? are you normal about women who choose not to shave their legs and armpits and faces? are you normal about butches and tomboys and masculine women? are you normal about trans women? are you normal about trans men? are you normal about nonbinary folk and people who lie outside the gender binary or renounce gender all together? are you normal about women who absolutely despise and detest the latest trends? are you normal about weird women who unsettle you with their interests? are you normal about women who don't wear makeup, who will never wear makeup, who openly dislike makeup and the makeup industry?

example one;
♇ so i was looking at gabriette butchel on tiktok and i went to the comment section and i saw that people were comparing her to amelia gray who allegedly got surgery to look like gabriette [on the left] and amelia gray on the right.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
♇ and allegedly she even tried to have the same aesthetic as gabriette for a couple of months before she returned to her own style which is beautiful, but before she got her face done this is what amelia had looked like:
Tumblr media
♇ and because of this change it did cause an "alleged" feud between both gabriette and amelia, and to be honest, i would've been defensive/or would have felt weird if someone did surgery to look like me. [or similar].
♇ gabriette is a virgo mercury and venus.
♇ amelia gray is a gemini sun, mercury, jupiter and saturn. [amelia on the left and gabriette on the right in this pic].
Tumblr media
♇ i remember many people did notice the big similarities amelia shared with gabriette when she began to change herself, including the aesthetic of clothes, hair, make up etc, and of course gabriette doesnt own the aesthetic, but it was just very similar to gabriette's way of doing it. especially since this is amelia present day. she's stunning!
Tumblr media
♇ if i remember amelia is young, so she was probably finding her aesthetic and was inspired by gabriette a lot, but now she most likely found her own style. but mercury beauty is so pretty.
example two,
♇ the famous carla bruni and bella hadid, [obviously, carla on the left and bella on the right]. it is known that bella hadid did get surgery to look like carla bruni, and it is odd to do that imo.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
♇ luckily, carla and bella get along with each other, but it is known that the gorgeous bella hadid did not look like how she does now compared when she was younger:
Tumblr media
♇ carla bruni is a virgo moon, virgo jupiter, virgo uranus and virgo pluto.
♇ bella hadid is a virgo ascendant, virgo moon and virgo venus.
♇ and i dont think that is is known that mercury is the copy-cat planet, because it's a trickster, especially with how the Greek God that rules mercury is hermes, and mercury does rule over mirrors, [along with the moon and neptune].
♇ but due to the mercury planet ruling over mirrors, one side being gemini and the other side being virgo, [it could also be said venus rules over mirrors too since the symbol of venus is the mirror, one side being taurus and the other libra, but these venusian planets arent trickster-y and intentional to copy like mercury].
♇ plus, mercury does rule over trends and as it also rules over mirrors as i said; so it could symbolise over mirroring trends. [and the other hand, mercury's symbol is similar with venus' symbol, but as venus is the feminine planet, mercury is the more androgynous planet.]
♇ and to be specific, gemini rules over the twins, so whenever celebrities with prominent gemini/virgo/mercury in their chart become famous for their beauty, there will always be someone willing to go so far to copy how they look, and i call this the virgo structure, since virgo's idea of beauty is to be made and constructed and not handled freely like gemini. [both virgo and gemini symbolising the twins].
♇ i noticed that mercury beauty involves a lot of sharp edges, so like a lot of these women in the end have very sharp and pointed features.
♇ plus where you have gemini/virgo/mercury in your chart could indicate where people might feel inspired by you or just copy you. and whats in your 3h and 6h can also tell you that as well.
♇ don't you find it funny that the person in my gif, kakashi, is a virgo sun? and is known as the copy-cat ninja.

everytime i see some woman in her early twenties post a tiktok with that aging filter with some caption saying something along the lines of "oh i look so fucking ugly this filter makes me upset, i cant belive this is what im gonna look like, im gonna do everything in my power to make sure i dont grow up to be this fucking disgusting and gross" i get so angry and so so fucking upset. this whole trend right now of anti aging is just so fucking heartbreaking as a girl. so many women have been conditioned to think that ageing is the worst thing a girl can do and they need to buy all these lotions and use a special straw and . fucking never smile or laugh or squint or sleep in a comfortable position because hey, did you know that sleeping on your side can make your face go ever so slightly lopsided over time, and you wouldn't want that to make you ugly, would you?
and i genuinely feel so sad for these woman who are genuinely depressed at the idea that they might one day, shock and horror, AGE? because people have taught them that the only value they have is being pretty and young and flawless and beautiful because thats the only thing that matters as a woman and being old and wrinky isnt pretty, didnt you know? but at the same time it is so fucking rage inducing to see people fully succumb to this mindset and post openly about how much they hate the idea of being old and ugly and posting the things that theyre doing to desperately try and avoid this unavoidable fate because we are actively seeing another generation of young girls, preteens, get groomed into believing this mindset that is so unhealthy nd so so harmful.
do u know how fucking sad it is to see videos of 14 year old girls post their 15 step skincare routine featuring products that are so chemically harsh that theyve been following since they were 12.
this is what its like being a little girl nowadays. that is so fucking depressing

many many years ago, around 2014-ish i think it was, there was a tumblr trend of tagging posts of your favorite female character with 'my queen', it was like all the range. and i participated in this trend, bc my favorite girls were in fact queens to me, and i was sure this was the case for many others. but i began to notice certain things about this trend that kinda bothered me and i couldnt quite articulate until someone i followed then made a very well writen rant about it, and i dont remember the exact wording but something that struck me about it was a line that was kind of like "i see you tagging posts about [female character] with 'my queen' and then talking in detail in your tags about [male character] going out to eat waffles', or something to that effect- i dont remember the exact wording but in this hypothetical scenario, the person was describing the tags having a very whimsical and fun scenario full of imagination and affection, and the exact one was very silly but fun. and most of all, a fully detailed scenario, indicating how much the person thinks about this character, without needing to say 'wow i love this character', a level of attention starkly contrasting with the one given to the ostensible-queens who got nothing more than 'wow she is so amazing'. and they were quite angry and spiteful about it and said something to the effect of tagging male characters with 'my kings' in a sarcastic way, kind of to convey that it read to them as more condescending than anything.
it has been ten years, and though the slang and specific fandom trends have since changed, i still remember it, because it still feels relevant, and i still feel the spirit of that post now. we have advanced enough that on a wider scale we understand that its not a good look to hate every woman in a story or treat all fictional women as if they are out to get you and your faves, personally, but we have not quite reached the point where fandoms at large actually seem interested in these stories and characters. right now it manifests in 'mean lesbian backgroung character in your m/m fanfic', or how everything everyone has to say about any girls in a story is to yell 'lesbians!!!!' and move on with no interest or comment or desire to actually do anything with these characters.
like, if fandom is a playground, then male characters are the dolls who get actually played with, while the female characters are the dolls everyone just kinda look at and keep untouched. and while i can't say i prefer it when i was a baby youngling in fandom and all the dolls i liked had really hateful and mysoginstic language slung at them, it's not especially fun either when everyone says they love these dolls but nobody actually wants to play with them, especially if you do, and you have lots of games in mind for those dolls that nobody really wants to participate in, and when they continue to insist that they love these too even though they clearly are neutral at best it really kinda drives you crazy.

heheh hyperfixation go brrrrr
Please don't yell at me if these suck im sensitive 🥺 /hj
Mark:
Would have been the best big brother to Sarah I stg
Not afraid to wear a tiara and feather boa and have a tea party with her
This towering young man sat on a dinky little plastic chair sipping imaginary tea, pinky out and all
Aaagghhhhhhh i love him
Definitely one of those "super talented, high iq, gifted kids" before the burnout hit him
Every Christmas, Easter, and birthday he'd ask his parents for a dog. He never got one :(
Not exactly a Disney adult, just a big fan of animated movies in general.
I think his favorites would be The Iron Giant, Monsters Inc, and Lilo and Stitch
Honorable mentions to The Fox and The Hound and Oliver and Company but they make him cry
Mark Heathcliff best boy 1,000,000/10
Cesar:
Cesar fans, you have my whole heart fr
You really took nothing and ran with it I can't not respect that
I see him as a total mama's boy. As far as I know, there's no mention of his dad anywhere so I imagine it's just him and his mom.
As a little boy he was like "I'm gonna be the man of the house now!" and he stuck to it like glue
Taking the trash out, doing the dishes, mowing the lawn because "Mom, you deserve to get off your feet, you're working too hard"
I think him being a mama's boy and having so much respect for her would translate into huge respect for women in general
I like the idea of him painting his nails ❤
His room is like a walk-in freezer you can literally see his breath when he sleeps
Used to skateboard but eventually "grew out of it" (he actually broke his wrist and is too scared to do it again)
Adam:
This toxic little fuck i love him
The most "dont talk to me until I've had my coffee" person you'll ever meet.
Not having consistent access to coffee must have been miserable for him when he was on the run. Doubly miserable for poor Jonah having to put up with a grouchy Adam for who even knows how long
You remember that tiktok trend from a few years ago like "I look really intimidating until I smile"? ADAM ADAM ADAM ADAM ADAM!!!
He's such an angsty little shit with the most severe case of resting bitch face disease but on the rare occasion he actually smiles??? Human sunshine
Definitely the type to look down when he smiles to try and hide it
Wouldn't be caught DEAD singing out loud, but will absolutely murmur songs to himself under his breath.
Just imagining him folding laundry or cooking and singing whatever song is stuck in his head to himself I LOVE THIS MAN
He likes rock music in general but I feel like he's really into songs like Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls. Yknow those really mopey mid 2000s ballads?
Shattered by OAR, Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol, stuff like that
Jonah:
Rip jonah you would've loved tiktok
Was a theater kid but he got kicked out of class. Dude was just too hyper to follow directions
What can he say? He just stole the spotlight 🤪 (he's crying inside)
Walks into every room twirling his car keys around his finger like a dork
Can not be trusted to stand still, it's best to just make him wear one of those backpack leashes for everyone's safety
A gamer but not in a toxic way. He's actually terrible at games but he thinks it's fun to dick around and goof off in them.
You knows those "girlfriend who bites" memes? That's him. He's the girlfriend who bites.
Thatcher:
You've heard of wine moms, you've heard of wine aunts, well get ready for wine dad
I feel like he paints? He strikes me as very artsy
Loves plants but can't keep them alive for shit. It's not even that he forgets to water them, he follows all the instructions, the plants just hate him
Can't sleep without a TV on, or at least some sort of white noise or music playing.
Total garbage at gift giving lmao but he's trying his best
"I got you this card. Happy birthday."
"Thatcher, this says 'My condolences'"
"I know"

the mcc misogyny discussion always misses out on scott smajor though. he is the one who makes the teams. he is the one enabling the community to hold the women to ridiculously high standards by balancing them as s tiers before they are and giving them weaker teams. why was he giving jojo significantly weaker teams than purpled every time? why is he balancing hannah as if she’s s tier when she isnt?
not to mention the amount of women that are just used as nerfs. tina niki puffy gee etc. and SO many women he invites to the event are significantly weaker than the men so he’s like YEAH WOO WOMEN GAMERS! but only if they can be used as nerfs. <- because why were women who dont play minecraft invited to the event before jojo and hannah who are actual cracked minecraft players.
yes scott has to handle the entire event and no i’m not saying he’s awful and evil and deserves to be harassed but his subtle misogyny NEEDS to be addressed. and its not even all that surprising because white gay men often conflate themselves with women when the struggles are very different.
ya your right a lot of the representation of women in mcc does come down to the creation and development process. but I felt that was a different conversation than fan behaviour bc there's a lot more to consider . let it be known rn I am a Scott major enjoyer I watch his empires and life series povs.
on one hand, the teaming situations are routinely ignored by the Scott, even though women such as Tina have been asked for specific teamings they've been denied- but in a way where we as the viewer might not notice because shes been teamed with at least one s tier player and her friends each time. but Tina has made it clear she feels like a different teaming formula would benefit her better.
in terms of Scott only inviting lower skilled female players we cant say that for certain. we don't know who has applied for the mcc waiting list, how long they've been there who might've turned down invites for the event etc etc. another thing is that the players are usually selected from a marketing perspective- who is popular, what teams will generate discussions, what will bring in more viewers and keep the viewers hyped in the space between team announcements and the event. so Im not sure we can say theyre invited only if they can be used as nerfs but more so their connections between current players and their prevalence in trending game related events
there is a lot of issues with mcc teaming that need to be addressed because even if women aren't invited with the intention of a buffer they do often find themselves as being the balancing point of a team or as the makeup of a weaker team in order to ensure a specific ranking order (mainly non canon events) its something that can easily be brushed off as tier rank balancing but its also creating an environment of disdain for women because everyone assumes that the women will be the weak point of the team and in so face an insane amount of negativity from creators and community because they tend to have lesser followings than male cc's around the same skill level and so are not as heavily considered in marketable team makeups or defended by fans

Trigger warning for self harm, eating disorder and suicide references Okay I've seen some serious stuff an uncomfortable amount in the past few weeks so i need to talk about this. A lot of men have been opening up about loneliness and this recent exposure of it has been called the "male loneliness epidemic". and ive seen a concerning amount of people talking about how its just men making themselves victims, or how theyre just incels. And guys. Guys.
Men can be victims of toxic masculinity.
The facts are, men are far more likely to commit suicide than women, as well as develop drug addictions and alcoholism. Men on average also have smaller friend groups than women. And this all stems from toxic masculinity, bottling up emotions, not being able to open yourself up to others, to make those connections and develop healthy coping mechanisms. People end up turning to drugs and self harm as a result, since they think nobody will care. And why wouldnt they think that? Society has drilled it into their heads since birth. Men are always told to tough it out, to suck it up, that tears are weakness, that boys dont cry.
I'm a trans woman, I remember distinctly all of these phrases repeated by adults, teachers, parents, friends. It's especially worse in western society like the UK and US where physical affection like hugs are far more uncommon, especially for men. I first experienced depression when i was in middle school. And despite trying to talk to parents and counselors, my condition wasn't taken seriously until I eventually had a full breakdown and passed out from not eating in highschool. Personally, I am very lucky. Two friends were able to saved me from a suicide attempt by calling me and talking me down in time. And I only reconnected with that friend due to my transition. We were able to reconcile about arguments in the past and moved forward becoming good friends. The other friend I only met because of my transition. My friend group grew when I was a girl, it was easier to be open and honest. If I was in the same spot only a few years prior, I would have been dead.
And people are making fun of these guys for opening up like this now, saying everyone is lonely, that its not a uniquely male experience. Like you do realize you are QUITE LITERALLY proving to them what they've feared, that nobody cares. And people are always saying "oh this is a trend why is this the first time people are talking about this". Maybe its because we just went through a period of isolation and that time locked in their rooms caused a spiral of depression that made them reflect on their lives? Maybe because as a whole we are experiencing a mental health crisis worldwide? Maybe because through the modern internet we've never been more connected than now?
Yes men have privileges, that doesnt mean that they dont struggle and have issues too. Their opportunities and privileges do not negate their struggles. Toxic systems hurt everyone.
Personally, I'm now doing better, although sometimes I do slip into that deep depression, but I have better ways of fighting it now. And I'm lucky to have some friends who I know truly do care, as well as a loving partner. And while they dont follow me on tumblr, I just wanted to say, Thank You to Evan and Shi.

Hello, hi, i started following your blog recently and I just wanted to that it feels so nice to see someone talk about the harm of sex work and that it’s actually exploitive and harmful WITHOUT the “purity culture filter” and with actual care towards the women.
Context: I grew up in a Christian conservative environment so I was obviously bombarded with the good ol’ “Your body belongs to your husband” and “sex is something that you give, women get pleasure from giving themself to their husband” and so on. Even at a young age I always felt that that was wrong but I didn’t have the knowledge to argue against it.
Being taught that “sex is a duty/chore” really messed me up.
I was taught why sex work was harmful and exploitative and I understood that those women needed help. But, instead of empathy or kindness towards the exploited women, the old conservative ladies would shame them, saying that “these women are stupid, they should get married and belong to their husbands instead!
So I turned to feminism. But that quickly died when the, dare I say, trend of OnlyFans and “sexual empowerment” started. It was the same things I was taught as a kid but with a “liberal filter” on it!
Liberal feminists scream that “actually, sex is just an act that you can give to someone for money” “Sex isn’t sacred or personal, it’s just work!”
And that’s when I lost hope. I felt like women would always just be their to “give sex”. Like it really was out only biological purpose. And the worst part is I genuinely started to believe that.
It wasn’t until I discovered radical feminism through the “terfs tag” (I looked it up because I was curious) and literally all the problems and questions I had about women and womanhood were answered! I started to dig deeper and I’ve never been happier, I actually found a movement where we women get to be women and actually have our biology be acknowledged and also our autonomy and so much more!
This got a little wordy but I do want to share my gratitude towards you and other RadFems out there 💕 thank you for not letting the loud people get you down, you are doing an amazing job, all of you guys. 💕 💕 💕
omg girl i love that you shared this! 🩷 and im eternally grateful for everyone who goes out of her way to tell me my posts resonate with her. it gives me so much hope.
and your personal story is very interesting! since i didnt have a very religious upbringing i dont know this side - but it makes total sense! liberal feminists fall for the madonna-whore complex without even realising it. for them its either be monogamous and save yourself for one person or have sex with random strangers who dont give a fuck about you, no inbetween. and as you say, both conservatives and liberals treat sex as a service and chore a woman does for a man! thats not fucking sex positive! sex positive feminism teaches women to discover our sexuality independent from men, through masturbation and talking about our experiences etc, and demand equal satisfaction when with men, enthusiastic consent and saying no if youre unsure or uncomfortable or dont really want to!
radblr helped me so much. i identified as gender fluid for the longest time because i felt like i didnt fit in with the girls in school and the women at work, and radblr helped me see that there is no wrong way to be a woman, that im good the way i am. it was healing. and when i was in prostitution it helped me to have this community to vent to, and now that im out it helps me to work through my experiences, and to engage with likeminded women in this society where all sides of the political spectrum try to manipluate us into serving men!
much love to you have a great day 🩷

i was typing this in the notes to an ask but it gogt waaaay too long lol sorry. prefacing it with you know i love your artwork & i have nothing against what you choose to draw. also possibly worded weird cus i didnt write it in the sense of talking only to you alone
there is certainly this conflict between artists as random individuals and artists as a collective when it comes to how to approach this issue… as a hobbyist you can draw whatever you like but also when you have trends like a lack of fatness thats going to be disheartening too. i think the answer is getting more people into making art (& like general societal change of course since its an issue baked into bigotry.)
because as much as i agree with the sentiment of "there is significant under representation of fat women" (or characters in general) at the same time fandom is a hobby space and i dislike the notion of badgering individual artists to draw any particular thing especially when the source material does not have that thing. if you are looking for artwork of fat women thats great but i would not ever recommend something like enstars that has 1. no fat characters and 2. no women, barring a few exceptions. i think expecting to find fanart of fat women from a source entirely composed of thin men is unrealistic, even with the relative popularity of femstars.
plus there are other complications such as the typical modern fandom f/f scene sometimes being very strict and even vicious at times with their standards of what's enough diversity or what content is appropriate. ive heard a lot of anecdotes about people who WERE contributing to these things but whom were still harassed or got threats from other users over it not being good enough, and that's just not conducive to creating the environment or diversity you want. nobody is going to want to be in a fandom space where they have to walk on eggshells all the time. and i bring this up because of how you were clearly harassed by randos. accusing you of misogyny or shaming other womens' bodies as being "unrealistic" is not the way to go
the only reasonable solution i can think of to this is, again, to just encourage more artists to start drawing in the first place, or even better start contributing yourself. individuals should have the freedom to draw what they like without getting flamed for it AND people should be able to see themselves represented in artwork. i would like to see some more fat characters too, this is definitely something ive thought about before myself
(personally all the fat people i draw are ocs or portraits of people i know that i dont want to post online but maybe if i get some inspiration i will draw the long-sought chubby mugi myself. i am not super interested in femstars though so whether or not itd actually be fem mugi is up in the air. but all the talking here about this topic has had me thinking about following my own advice and putting what i want to see into the world.)
OUGHH THESE ARE ALL GOOD POINTS!! and i agree! the main thing we should be doing is ENCOURAGING people to add more diversity, not harassing them into it! people who only draw for fun arent really obligated to draw anything outside of their comfort zone, which again is why i think its better to simply uplift the idea of trying out new things and new appearances that you dont often draw
theres also SO MUCH room for more femstars artists too! and like ive said before if you wanna see something done right you gotta do it yourself. and i kind of like that. i like that everyone gets to craft their own little femstars variant of the enstars cast, and you can make them look however you want! and honestly? you SHOULD! seeing personal touches to designs always brings me joy, so even if you dont feel very confident in your art, if you have a specific vision for a character that you want brought to life please go ahead and draw it!! (or if you really dont want to you can always commission someone)
i also wanna highlight one of ur last points too bc yea. its unfortunate but often times whenever i see someone try adding diversity to their art for the first time they end up getting flamed because its not an accurate depiction of what they were trying to represent. and that really sucks! obviously we should strive to have accurate representation, but if its an artist that hasnt tried their hand on it before, ESPECIALLY a beginner artist, we shouldnt flame them for it. rather we should educate them on what went wrong and how they can improve for the future. these are people who actually WANT and are TRYING to add diversity to their art, but because in animanga circles theres a lack of education on how to draw more diverse features of really any kind. which is why trying to educate is far better than shaming. because if you shame these artists theyre gonna be too scared to try again, giving us less diversity once more
so yes basically what im saying is i want us all to encourage diversity and to help each other out by sharing resources and tips when it comes to drawing it!! one person is Obviously not gonna be able to do every single thing, which is why i want more people to pick up the pen and bring life to their visions!! also i really want more femstars food pelase pick up the pen i am a starved orphan and only femstars yuri can satiate me!!!!!!!!!

Tbh I have never seen a villainess manga/manhwa where the FL is like Oh youre cheating on me??? Well let me have a good time and get a lover as well, because if you get to have one I do too. Like all those humiliating situations FLs go through with their husband and mistress would be a lot more even if they had their own lover. Like oh you wanna flaunt your mistress to everyone and dance with her at social events? Well here is my lover/mistress right by my side and Imma dance with them and not mind you. The husband is saying the FL is cold and arrogant and cannot show love? Well here is once again her own lover/mistress to prove you wrong because guess what someone was fucking your wife last night and it wasnt you
Honestly there are probably some that exist! From what I've seen, the manhwa community is similar to the manga community in that it follows trends and many things can be published or produced at once, so maybe it's a matter of trying to shift through all the bulk?
I think the thing that's infuriating is most of these dudes are such fucking chumps that they would get jealous, but their reaction would probably be to tell their FL "oh, you're clearly doing this just for my attention, how childish of you" and it's like fine call me bozo the clown because I'm about to get a wacky creampie from your brother/rival
Honestly I wish the story existed where it's like "you know what crown prince? Not only am I leaving you, im leaving you for your father the emperor. I'm your mom now boy, go to your room"
I have been reading so many Villainess/Revenge manhwa and I honestly can't recall any like you're saying. The closest thing I can think of is a scene from "I Want To Become The Emperor So I Need A Divorce" where the husband's lover's uncle who runs a theater company is hosting a play meant to mock the FL, and when her shit husband asks what she thought of the play, and she lied and said it was nice and then he goads her further to start reciting her favorite line, she calls his fucking bluff and walks up to the actor that had played her husband and starts reciting exact lines, but in such a way it seems like she is genuinely flirting with the actor, and she even puts a royal gemstone on his finger to symbolically say "you're as good as the duke" and he gets so fucking mad he basically had the entire theater company ruined
I just want to watch garbage men be ruined, like I am actively seeking out stories where women leave their shit partners and enjoy watching them mald and seethe while living a better life with their new partner. I can't wait for the final season of Remarried Empress, and Father I Dont Want This Marriage, and kt isn't a romance but I think I will DIE if I never see the ending of Actually I Was The Real One because that fucking bitch tried to steal her family! And I also found an extremely similar manywa that's brand new called The Saintess Returns as a Villain and maybe that will be good but it is still too early to tell.
And you know what, I know a good revenge manhwa but it's more revenge in the form of "you neglected me and made me feel like shit so im running away and cutting you out of my life and even when I need support you aren't good enough" and that would be The Time Of The Terminally Ill Extra. It hasn't updated it forever so im afraid it might be dropped but it's about a girl who has been shoved to the side for the sake of her sickly younger sister who she has had to compromise everything for, even entering school late to take care of her, giving her her toys, being trained to never disobey or show she's unhappy because even when she cries she's told "how dare you cry when your sister is in pain?". Well, it turns out the FL is terminally ill, even sicker than her sister, amd she decides to run away and never even tell her family, who initially don't even care she's missing and then proceed to not believe it when they are told their daughter is fatally sick. I might actually start reading the novel because the story has me so invested. The FL has an uncurable illness called Artist's Disease where she can bring to life anything she draws but at the cost of her own life, but her family neglected her so fucking much they never even knew she liked to draw or noticed how extremely gifted she was, which, the extreme talent is a symptom of Artist's Disease because their abilities are "blessings", and if her family had noticed and gotten her diagnosed earlier she wouldn't be dying. But even as it's killing her, she refuses to stop drawing because it's her passion and joy. She grew up so lonely that as a child she would draw fairies and other people to talk to her and be her friends and her art is extremely personal to her that she would literally die than give it up. I really hope this manhwa finishes like I have heard spoilers about because it sounds like everything turns out alright in the end, but not before massive heartbreak 🥺

5 Anti LO Asks
(Note: All of these asks are before episode 206 (Season 2 finale) so some may be dated.) 1. FP SPOILER Episode 197: Whyyyy, did RS need to bring the Ares/Persephone romance back??? What was the purpose? It was creepy when it first popped up and it's even more creepy now!
Did this really need to be a whole episode?? Why does RS like stalling so much?? Why does she keep giving us random bullshit as follow-up to cliffhangers???
Also, Ares with long hair...doesn't look good. I'm sorry. I think it's the curls. I know it's supposed to be a mullet but it just looks like he's wearing the world's worst wig. I honestly liked his armored-up design more. That should have been his permanent new form, it looks so much cooler than anything the other gods have been wearing.
Also also, apparently him and Aphrodite broke up off-screen and now she's presumably married to Hephaestus. I'm honestly scared how RS is gonne interpret the humiliation of Ares and Aphrodite. I just know she's gonna make it weird. I don't want her to villainize Hephaestus, he's pretty much the only god I respect by this point.
2. i do love how rachel is obvs framing zeus as a big asshole for calling out persephone and hades' relationship and how persephone is used to getting everything she wants and its like ... ok but hes right tho lmao. much like demeter or the maidens i've yet to see how zeus is wrong? like theyre all been proven right about everything but rachel is just convinced like well if i keep saying they're wrong with no proof to actually show it that will show em!!
3. if anyone wants a good upcoming-and-cominng romance comic to follow morgana and oz is very good.
4. What's so frustrating is so many people try to rationalize a deeper reason why people keep retelling the Persephone myth (even tho historically this is a very modern trend, not a centuries long thing) and it's like yes, I'm sure there are those who are doing so to grapple with various issues like womens' pain and growing up, but LO is NOT that. It's just Rachel telling another by the numbers straight romance and using a flat mythology character to do so bc the ship is poplar. It's not that deep.
5. LO is truly devoid of any substance Rachel claims its full of when the fans are more concerned about whether Persephone is a top or bottom (because that's totally normal to talk about with a SA victim whose writer handwaved any tackling the subject with a single therapy session and a time skip) and arguing how many babies she'll give Hades. Dont worry though, THEY'RE the real feminists and the story is literally better than all the myths combined and Rachel is better than Homer himself 😑

actually wait I wanna talk about something I've noticed that I was literally just talking about and I think has to do with like. why people don't draw female CCs with their actual features. If I'm not making any sense just ignore me
So boobs and curves have been sexualized to hell and back despite the fact that they're not sexual features of a person, and this has led to the idea that boobs and curves are sexual.
Which leads people to think that drawing these features is sexualization, regardless of how much a streamer might actually just look like that. (not to jump away from women and misogyny, but it's why you see people in this fandom throwing a fit whenever a male character is drawn with these features, because they see them as inherently sexual)
So what you end up with is a bunch of people who try to make female and female presenting streamers as curveless and boobless as possible, which often makes them look just really skinny and flat and not like themselves at all.
Not to say that a large part of it doesn't come from people refusing to draw streamers with their actual body types in the first place, but I'd argue that this is a part of it and they work together to make it worse.
areus you are 1000% correct on this. people are so scared to "sexualize" anyone that they refuse to draw women accurately, even though its not sexualizing to show that niki has boobs. drawing her to look like a skinny eighteen year old boy is nuts. its weird and in an industry where female streamers are already pressured to be thin and follow conventional beauty standards its honestly awful.
drawing grian or scar or wilbur with boobs is not sexualizing them. its going oh wouldnt it be interesting or funny if this guy who doesnt have boobs had boobs. isnt gender so weird and funny and arbitrary. now i do get annoyed with how often people are willing to draw mcyt dudes in dresses or with tits but have never drawn a woman in their life-- that does get to me. okay, you can draw boobs. why dont you draw them on someone who actually has them irl? i genuinely dont have an issue with the scitties stuff it just annoys me that people in this fandom would rather draw a guy in a dress bc haha* than draw a woman at all. drawing male characters with boobs is great though. imo its akin to drag in a weird way but i dont want to get into the dynamics of drag and gender parody rn since that's not the point of this ask. regardless its cool and people should do it if they want but they should also draw women.
again, im not calling anyone out or saying this is across the board the case, just saying it can be a trend in fandoms. like all of this, im not saying anyone is doing this on purpose. misogyny is pervasive and systemic, just like most forms of oppression. thats why my biggest advice is to just look at your own behavior when you can and try to notice trends.
anyway aside from that element of things i dont have anything to add, your insights are very welcome! body image is a huge issue in media and i think attempts to "desexualize" female streamers end up being incredibly harmful.
*the "man in a dress" concept, btw, can be incredibly harmful and is often a transmisogynistic stereotype. im not saying it is here but i would encourage folks to think hard about when that joke is just about being horny over some guy's thighs and when its about how comedic it is that person who looks like, for example, scar (who has what society deems as "masculine" characteristics) is wearing a dress. again, i dont think this is the case for much of this fandom as most of you just seem to like drawing dudes in dresses bc its fun, which is great, but watch out for this stereotype in other forms of media. if you want more info on this please feel free to ask.

Same anon. Yes, you're completely right that transphobia and transmisogyny never stopped being mainstream, but within certain circles they were not acceptable. And yet within those same circles, harassment of people who are usually vulnerable queer people for having '"bad kinks" has become commonplace. I've lost count of the number of times I've gone to the blog of some person advocating death for supporters of "bad" kinks and it turned out to be some trans kid. (Not implying any statistical statement with this, just saying it's not rare.)
There's also something to be said about how much cyberstalking and suicide-baiting have become normalized compared to, say, ten years ago (including as casual comebacks, hell, I think I found your blog through a follower of a follower of a couple ML bloggers who think nothing of casually saying shit like "kill yourself if you do this/think like this" to posts they hate alongside their thoughtful, incisive critiques of imperialism. ). It's not a coincidence, and everyone I see criticize this gets dismissed as a spineless liberal who can't handle discourse.
I haven't seen enough of your posts and opinions to try to make a concrete point with this, I'm only responding to that one post in isolation. But what I'm trying to say is, you seem to be presenting this first and foremost as Yet Another Form Of Transmisogyny and it feels like part of a much wider harmful trend that "only" disproportionately targets trans women because that's kinda what happens with toxic and dangerous movements, they amplify the effects of existing biases, so people who are already targets get hit much harder. But the dangerous movement itself is much bigger than that, and it feels dangerous to ignore that. If I misrepresented your position, I'm sorry, like I said, I'm only judging it based on the one post.
i cannot stress enough how little i actually Know things like i really cant speak on transmisogyny definitively bc its not my lived experience, my original post wasnt meant to be like a Comprehensive Accounting of the Nuances of Transmisogyny yknow it was just something i posted bc i was annoyed and expected to get like 3 notes max. also i really cant speak for how attitudes around cyberstalking and suicide baiting have changed over the years bc like 10 yearsago i was a kid whos existence on the internet comprised of watching youtube music videos and playing moshi monsters, i didnt even really start using the internet a lot until like 3 years ago so.
that being said my perspective would be that i dont think you can neatly parcel away transmisogyny as some sort of semi-incidental consequence of a nebulous larger "dangerous movement". lets name it- this larger dangerous movement is carceral, cisheteronormative, puritanical ideology. this is harmful to everyone who lives in a christian, patriarchal, white supremacist society, yes, and one of the most virulent expressions of it is thru transmisogyny. to address transmisogyny from a transfeminist viewpoint then isnt to 'ignore' this movement but to actively work on combating + dismantling it. i also shouldnt need to mention that no not every conversation about transmisogyny should contain a discussion about how transmisogyny exempt people are affected.

HIHI BABY I HAVE A QUESTION SINCE I CANT OPEN OUTSIDE LINKS OF TUMBLR
what did harry styles do?? (i hate his fans so im even more curious why hes problematic)
i’m doing this because some people really don’t know what he has done, not only you, and I fucking hate him so why the fuck not :D i’m also copying what the Twitter post thread is saying.
a note to h.s stans; I don’t care if you follow, I may or may not follow. I won’t care abt any of the posts or anything you say abt him, just please don’t try to make me a stan of him, i dont like him, he has great music yes but I do not support him.
TW // Pedophilia, talk of SA, him being racist and sexiest.
Tumblr media
Harry retweeted a picture of himself in digitized blackface with other edits that mocks black culture. He never acknowledged or apologized for the issue even though people called him out.
Harry appropriated the Native American culture by posing in a native headdress and putting up a picture of himself in it on his social media. People called him out for cultural appropriation but again, he never apologized.
Harry actively participated in slut shaming Kendall Jenner (his ex) with two other men on national TV. The "lay everyday" was an obvious innuendo to sex and Harry sips "tea" (as if to say "tell me about it")and smirks at the sexist joke instead of defending the woman. — oh god. that was with Aaron Taylor Johnson too.
Harry made an extremely insensitive "joke" about pedophilia at the expense of his fans, a group of predominantly young women who might've been a victim/survivor themselves is just disgusting. He never apologized. His team even tried to erase the video off the internet.
in the video he’s talking about Roy Moore who has been accused of sexually assaulting women and I think that’s why he’s not a judge anymore, he’s a piece of shit. but Harry was saying that he does ‘know’ Moore cuz he’s had to kick him out of his concerts multiple times before. that’s fucked up to say.
Harry chose to completely ignore BLM flags that fans took to his concerts and even stepped on them in 2017. He didn't acknowledge his black fans who were disappointed for a year and did it only after getting heavy media backlash.
And Immediately after ignoring BLM, he gave this ALM speech which raises a lot of questions. That is why the context of this speech is very important which people often tend to ignore or forget. in the video he’s just saying that if you are black, white, gay, straight, anything, he will support you.
In 2020, Harry decided to perform at the NFL Pepsi Super bowl party. Both the NFL and Pepsi are known to be racist and Harry's decision to perform there contradicts his claim to support BLM. His black fans requested him to back out and trended #harrybackout but they were ignored.
Harry Styles branded the link to donation for George Floyd. Basically it takes you through his own website before redirecting to the main link. This was done to track his engagements and data mine for marketing. To use a black man's mu*der for purposes of profit is just disgusting.
All of that ties in with this extremely privileged take on activism by Harry himself. This means all the rainbow flag waving, pride merch and BLM stickers are nothing but props for pandering to people. Its all performative. He doesn't "mean it" but loves the woke points & profits.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Harry has been known to be a big fan of Charles Bukowski (a misogynist) and always glorifies him. He called it "romantic" even though most of Bukowski's work is misogynistic and sexist. Harry also loves Haruki Murakami who is also criticized for his sexist work. It's a pattern.
His album is inspired by Bukowski and it reflects in the lyrics. The lyrics contain misogynistic tropes, often sexist and objectifying women. There are also other problematic references like "hard candy" and cocaine/drug use. For the same song Kiwi, he made a mv with children.
In his song, Carolina which Harry describes as being about a girl he met once on a night out, he explicitly name drops her WITHOUT her consent and she only finds out about it through TV after the album came out. She was also harassed by fans causing her to delete her social media. — in the pictures that they’re showing with this, The articles are saying that she was 17 but someone was trying to change it to 20 because he was 23 at the time.
Harry is a big fan of Elvis Presley and glorifies him. He was also running for being cast to play Elvis in his biopic. He said he didn't find anything disappointing about his life even though Elvis is known as a pedophile. — I will forever be happy that he does not get to play Elvis in that movie but I’m also super pissed that they’re making a fucking movie about him.
There are so much more that he has done that I didn’t mention because he is just problematic and that is way too much. But Harry has never apologized or even aknowledged anything.

Sadly have to agree w that anon. I get feeling disconnected from your sexuality and hating the homophobia you had to suffer because of it. I also get that you wish you didnt have to suffer that homophobia and could have avoided it by being straight. But expressing feelings is something different than rationalizing these feelings and making up facts out of purely fictional "what ifs". Losing friends is sad but saying that it would have been better to not lose homophobic friends? And the dating pool thing. You realize that statistically straight women married to men have a lower life expectancy? Are less likely to survive after surgery etc? Great, you have a bigger dating pool but with a good percentage of that pool being worse than being single. There are good het relationships out there but i am really sorry to say this, you wouldnt be one of them. I know so many het women who talk exactly like you in regards to relationships and they always end up w horrible men who take advantage of the fact that they are so desperate for a little bit of closeness and love. There is a reason why there is a trend among bi women to not date men by choice and thus making their dating pool smaller by choice. Dont try to sell it as fact that you would be happier straight. I get the feeling but ultimately its just as possible that its untrue as its possible that its true. And what you put out there arent just personal struggles with intense internalized homophobia, you articulate those feelings as if they were facts and thus are true universally, not only for yourself. It really paints a grim picture alongside the other things you post and I get why other lesbians are alienated by it. You post things that have a deeper meaning for a lot of us. That make us feel less alone and proud of our sexuality. But alongside what you write you make it all seem so shallow and unreal. It seems like you post these things bc you want a relationship and if you were straight youd have the same blog but with het couples pictures. It doesnt seem like you want to convey pride, community and happiness but only a personal craving for romance. Which is valid and all but again: explains the anons. Internalized homophobia is horrible and I dont want to downplay it or say you should just get over it or something. But you just make yourself more miserable by lying to yourself and your followers that homosexuality is the worst thing that could happen to a woman and its hard to watch that. Especially because you post so much about lesbian love. It makes it seem like you just want a close relationship whatever the cost and if a magic fairy could make you straight to get that a bit easier you would ditch the icky other homosexuals and rejoice with your homophobic friends and relatives. Not that I see you that way but I think thats where some of those anons are coming from and I kinda get where they get the impression from. Id also like to add that I am following you for a while now and thought that such a smart, sweet woman would definitely get a girlfriend if youd just be able to heal a bit, move out, get outside and into a community of sorts. But I think a few women would feel alienated by your extreme internalized homophobia. I mean their loss etc. But honestly, you are building your own misery here partly. Of course its all more complex than that but again: you try to convince yourself so hard that you would have been better off straight while thats probably not even true. Sure, no homophobia. But a lot of other bullshit and a lot of the same bullshit also. I dont think I can or want to give any advice bc at the end of the day, this is your blog and your life. You already got a lot of amazing advice on here and I dont think i can add to that. I like your blog a lot and under all that self hatred and self doubt exists an amazing lesbian that I have a lot of sympathy for. I am wishing you the best!
I think you bring up a lot of valid points. I can’t really say what my account would be like if I was straight. I’m guessing yeah, I’d probably be posting lots of photos of straight couples. I know I have a bit of an unhealthy obsession with being in love and being in a relationship, and for me at least I guess that’s ultimately what I see my sexuality as. Line that leads me to connect with people and form future relationships. So since I’m a lesbian I have that fixation on other women. If I was straight I guess I would feel the same way about men. I don’t know though because I’ve never been in that situation.
And I’m genuinely sorry if what I said has made people believe I think homosexuality is icky or the worst thing to happen to a person. That’s fully not my intent and I’m sorry my words sound that way.
I feel bad I don’t really know what else to say other then I’m sorry, but I feel like that might sound a bit cheap or insincere. But I am sorry. Genuinely. I don’t want to make anyone feel sad or super hurt , but I know intentions don’t really matter and the reality does. And reality is I have upset people. And for that I truly am sorry.
But thank you for taking the time to reach out and explain your feelings - and thank you for the support as well. That was very kind.
I ope you have a very lovely day 💕
