Hello there gorgeous ✨
Prompt idea with reader being a part of a band that's heavily inspired by Babymetal, like the type of music is pop mixed with metal, the outfits, the whole vibe basically. Heaven's got a new band in town and it's reader's band (You can either create a name for them, go without mentioning any name or whatever else you choose to do with that! You can even ask me and we'll both think about the name c:). Adam at first was like "Tf? New band getting popular? Pfft, they probably suck, no one can out-do the first fucking man🙄" but then when Lute asked him to actually go and check it out with her since she got curious when one of the exterminators went there and told her that it was absolutely fucking awesome. They go and it's literally just a blast. The crowd work is astonishing with how the fans, even the shy ones, have no problems with being vocal with the lyrics or movement, the light effects are just top notch, sound quality is gorgeous and clear, the vibe on its own is just one of a kind and Adam is like "Yeah, shit, this is actually really cool, like wtf" but the biggest magic is when he first hears and then sees the reader alongside the two of his like "backup vocals" (I wouldn't really call Mo or Moa that, but I can't find a better word rn) absolutely rocking out, enchanting everyone as if he was some sort of magician, making Adam start questioning his sexuality, simply going "Am I fucking gay? What's actually happening right now?"
Recommendations for like ideal crowd work representation would be any song but my favourite is this one:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=E8pcFhPZQYg&pp=ygUKSGVhZGJhbmdlcg%3D%3D
Light and visual effects I'd probably say this one:
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Hru3zh8l2kE&pp=ygUUQmFieW1ldGFsIGRpc3RvcnRpb24%3D
And the one that could work the best in my opinion to like WOW his snarky bitch ass would be this one:

Rock on my superstar! 🤟🎸❤️
Sup babes, I changed the vibe a lil, going in a more punk-like direction. I don't like describing outfits so the only thing that got a description is reader's vest bc low-key important. Anyway I hope you like it!! xoxo
Part 2
And I dream to be your fantasy
pairing: Adam x male!reader
warnings: language & sexual tension
note: not beta read bc fuck you I don't have beta readers
A new band was blowing up in heaven, their posters were everywhere and Adam was already pissed off by it. Who the fuck did they think they were? Playing in his area? Fuck no. He avoided them as best as he could - considering that their posters hung in every window it wasn't that easy to do.
Lute landed next to Adam, she was visibly excited about something so the first man stopped with a sigh and turned around to look at her, “Sir, have you heard about Divine Fuck-Ups?” Adam growled as he gave Lute a nod, “Bitch, their posters are everywhere, how could I fucking not?” Lute simply rolled her eyes at him, “Yeah well, the other exorcists won't shut up about how good they are so,” the exorcist pulled out two concert tickets. Adam looked down at her, his expression a mix between hatred and betrayal. Had Lute seriously bought two tickets to a different band's concert? Especially when that band was playing in his fucking area on his fucking main stage? Apparently she fucking did. “You bought fucking tickets,” Adam grumbled, pointing out the most obvious thing ever. “The concert is tonight, I'll pick you up so we won't be late.” And it was not like Adam could have disagreed with her, Lute was onto something and the brunette was pretty sure she'd move mountains to get his ass to that concert.
-
The concert was… different than what Adam had expected it to be, the crowd was loud and wild, there were multiple mosh pits and none of their fans stood still for even the finest moment, they were constantly moving, vibing, enjoying their music to the brim. The first man had to admit: he was impressed by that. The only thing that bothered him was, that Lute had picked him up so fucking late that they were basically behind the massive crowd, enjoying the concert from the distance which also meant even though Adam was tall, he wasn't seeing shit.
So he simply grabbed Lute's wrist and pulled her with him as he made his way through the crowd, careful not to hurt anyone. Because while he was all for rock ‘n’ roll, the most rock thing to do was to watch out for each other at concerts, a rule he had learned very early.
He had somehow managed to make it to the front row, Lute by his side as he finally laid eyes on you for the first time. Your hair was sticking to your forehead, it was soaked in sweat just like the rest of your body - that was probably the reason why you were shirtless, wearing nothing but a black jeans vest with golden spikes on its shoulders. Your arm was wrapped around the waist of your background singer and you and him shared a microphone as you growled the lyrics of Lute's favorite song.
The background singer that had been in your arm only moments ago, was now dropping to his knees in front of you, grabbing your hips and wiggling them, his face only a couple centimeters away from your crotch, before he quickly got up again. Holy fuck that was hot. Adam was visibly mesmerized by your performance, not just the singing, growling and shouting but the way you owned that stage. The way you made the people go wild, your harmony with your band mates was a once in a lifetime sorta bond and the first man loved everything about it.
The song ended and you breathed heavily into your microphone. “Make some noise for Cove,” you yelled only to lick the man's jaw, Cove - the background singer that had gone down on you during your performance - was enjoying it, a little too much to Adam's liking but who was he to judge? Well he was the first man, that's who he was. “Okay, whatcha say to one more fucking song?” The crowd screamed and cheered, demanding the offered song like it was their air to breathe, shit even Lute screamed at the top of her lungs. Her white hair was all messy, her clothes clung to her body due to her sweating so much and she looked like she had one hell of a time.
The guitarist played the first three cords and the people around Adam were cheering, clapping and whistling. Then the drummer joined in and so did the bassist. Then your voice echoed through the air and Adam felt like he was in trance, all he needed was your voice and your body.
He wasn't able to dance, to enjoy the music, all he was hearing was your angelic sounding voice, it was enchanting through and through. The way you were moving your body held him in a chokehold, the amount of control you must have had over every single muscle was pure bliss in his eyes. He didn't even realize that the last song had ended and that you had just spoken your goodbyes, that's how lost he had been in your voice.
He really didn't understand why but everything inside of him was screaming to get to you, to make you his, to have you. Where those thoughts came from he didn't know, he wasn't gay after all but fuck you had looked hot on stage, better than any woman could have.
-
Don't ask him how, but he had managed to get a backstage pass once the concert had ended, it definitely had its advantages to be the first man. So there he was, waiting for you to arrive and once the door opened his eyes were basically glued onto you. “Hey there babes,” a cocky, confident smirk was on his lips as he pulled his mask off his head. You gave him a quick glance out of the corner of your eye as you walked over to your dresser, “So you're the bitch who thought of him as important enough to get backstage even though my team told ya no, huh?” Adam tilted his chin upwards as if that was something to accomplish, something to be proud of, “The one fucking and only.” You just rolled your eyes at his answer as you turned around to face him properly, “Listen, if you wanna hook up, now's a bad time. I have to get ready for another gig in just a couple of hours on the other side of heaven, be a fucking babe and leave, okay?” Oh but the brunette wasn't planning to, not now, not when he had the person he desired right in front of him. He walked over to you, his hand was quick to grab you by your hip and pull you in, the first man leaned down a little and murmured, “Oh babes, no need to act like you're fucking hard to get, I know you want me just as much as I want you.”
And that actually caused you to chuckle, because the confidence was so fucking wrong. You had just told him no and yet he acted like he was the man of your dreams. “Cutie,” your finger slid down his chest and stopped at his sternum, tapping him there harshly as your voice dropped an octave and your expression shifted to seriousness, “I do men, not boys. Come back when you decide to act like one.” And fuck, that did things to Adam, things he would never be able to admit to, not fully at least. Because you were acting like hot shit and for the first time he wasn't annoyed by it. Because you were hot shit, fuck probably the hottest shit he had ever laid eyes onto. “Now move your pretty ass out of my dressing room, babes,” you gave the first man one last sweet smile, your finger traced along his jaw and he leaned into every bit of touch he got from you. His eyes were clouded and for the first time in very fucking long it wasn't just lust that fogged up his mind, but interest and maybe even love.

Tumblr media
ok i noticed that in the halloween episode in season 7 i believe he's wearing a misfits shirt !! so i think he would like punk, grunge, pop punk, and nu metal. like misfits, descendants, nirvana, limp bizkit, blink 182, sum 41, sublime, beastie boys, really anything punk related
definitely watches wwe and if you're over you're watching it too
he loves watching his favorite scary movies w you and he loves how you like them too!
if you don't like scary movies he dosent mind either bc that just means you'll be hiding in his arms the whole time so he wins either way
i feel like when he first met you he definitely played a prank on you to get your attention or just annoyed you but once you sorted that all out, you join him on his pranks and he swears he's never liked a girl more
if you're smarter than him and you offer to tutor him he'll only do it under one condition: he gets a kiss everytime he gets something right
might be self projecting but he's def a boob guy.
everyone has this image of him as some psycho tough guy but play with his hair and he'll just melt. especially if you have acrylic nails! his head will be in your lap while you guys are watching tv n you'll be playing with his hair and he'll be as quiet as a mouse and malcolm will just be like "how did you do that."
loves it when you borrow his clothes. especially his hoodies. it just does something to him
tbh i feel like he could go for someone with either a more edgier look ( think avril lavigne or bill kaulitz) or someone with the girly 2000s look ( think britney spears or any of the playboy bunny girls )
once you guys have an established relationship he'll spend all his time with you! at first he wasn't sure if it was ok but now that he knows you really like him he's so happy!
i don't think he's big on pda i think hand holding is as far as hell go but i don't think he minds if you kiss him on the cheek
but once you guys are alone omg
cant keep his hands off you!
he's either super horny or super cuddly no in between
you and him always get stuck babysitting jamie and he'll be doing the most normal thing like putting jamie's shoe on or feeding him and youre just stuck staring at him bc he looks so cute!
dates usually consist of movie marathons, him cooking something for you guys, concerts, theater trips, or something really spontaneous like taking a trip to another city just bc you guys were bored.
walks you to all of your classes <3
malcom n dewey really like you and think you keep reese sane
ties your shoes
if you guys have a class together he's always doodling in your notebook whether it's something cute or raunchy
i think he struggles with self image so he needs a lot of reassurance
if you have pets he somehow has an immediate bond with them. they just love him!
he try's really hard to remember things you like for future gifts/dates
i feel like he gives oddly specific compliments, but he has good intentions
"you smell like a slutty fairy"
"is that supposed to be a good thing?"
"duh."
the same way he secretly loves watching soap operas with his mom, is the same way he loves watching all of your shows. like the oc, dawsons creek, whatever you're into!
he would give the best and most thoughtful homemade gifts. tb to when he gave lois little jars of jam! he'd probally do something similar but according to your taste <3
gets jealous easily
it's hot/ cute tho
memorized all your favorite pastries/baked goods n makes them for you when he's feeling nice/ as an apology if he messes up

The Evolution of Pop Punk Gojo / No Scrubs
Honestly the real answer as to why he's such a pop punk gremlin in May Death Never Stop You is bc I wanted him to be lol. But I did come up with a backstory for it even if I doubt it'll ever make the fic itself.
Keep in mind this is not at all part of the story and Gojo / No Scrubs can play whatever music you want, any songs I call out specifically are really just examples.
BABY PUNK IN THE MAKING ERA: 2000
It’s 2000. The Sony Walkman CD player has been around for over 15 years; the iPod is only a year away.
Gojo is ten years-old and he’s just lost his useless minders in the crowded, tangled streets around Harajuku.
Being allowed out alone (for a given definition of alone, but at the very least without the usual entourage befitting the young master of an ancient house) is a new experience for him. He’s spent the entirety of his life enclosed within the guarded walls of the Gojo clan, learning his clan’s history and techniques. It’s been a very sheltered and secluded existence, and not entirely without reason; since the heralded birth of the Six Eyes holder, assassins and curses alike have been after him. The existence of Gojo Satoru changed the world order, and he was guarded accordingly. It’s rare he has a chance to leave the clan compound, rarer still to be out alone.
But he’s almost eleven now, and he’s mastered his clan’s Limitless Blue technique as well as Infinity; even first-grade curses wouldn’t give him much trouble anymore. He no longer needs the stifling protection of his clan to the degree he had as a small child, and accordingly the hold his clan has on him is growing tenuous. So he’s given the day in Tokyo, ostensibly to find himself a present for his birthday.
He probably would have just gone with cake— he has a rampant sweet tooth, but is rarely allowed to eat sweets— but he’s distracted by blaring, foreign music.
He finds himself alone in front of a record store blasting rock music from a boombox speaker in the front. The store is full of punk clothing, streetwear, and endless rows of CDs all stuffed full of questionably dressed youths. The whole store is very Western, which is a novelty for a child with a very traditional and secluded upbringing in the already secluded Jujutsu society— it’s noisy and loud and seems to be the antithesis to everything his clan has tried to teach him about etiquette and propriety as the scion of a noble house; suffice it to say, he loves it at first sight.
So of course the first thing he does is buy himself a Sony Walkman and grab a handful of CDs from the front table.
The hapless and chronically underpaid part-timer who happened to stock the front display that day was not prepared to accidentally set the most powerful Jujutsu sorcerer on his road of anti-establishment chaos, but really what else did you expect from putting up all that 90's alt-grunge?

Siamese Dream ℗ Smashing Pumpkins, 1994 | Nevermind ℗ Nirvana, 1991 | Third Eye Blind ℗ Third Eye Blind, 1997
Gojo basically grew up in a house with little exposure to music, so throwing himself directly into a genre baked in themes of social alienation, angst, and loneliness that happened to perfectly reflect his own life experiences was something of a happy coincidence. He didn't understand nearly enough English at the time to comprehend the lyrics, but the feeling was conveyed nonetheless.
At some point during his pre-teen angst era he gets access to a computer. His very traditional and insulated family have no fucking clue what the hell a computer even is, so when he says he wants one and goes and gets it they have no idea what kind of open frontier they're giving him with access to the internet. 2001 rolls around and Gojo gets his hands on his first iPod, and promptly becomes that kid on iTunes who racks up hundreds of dollars worth of music purchases before even realizing what he's done.
Most Played Tracks on Gojo's poor Sony Walkman:
Nirvana: Come As You Are, Rape Me, Smells Like Teen Spirit, In Bloom
Smashing Pumpkins: Mayonaise, Today, Cherub Rock, 1979, Bullet with Butterfly Wings
Soundgarden: Black Hole Sun, Spoonman
Third Eye Blind: Semi-Charmed Life, How's It Going to Be, Jumper, Narcolepsy
--MIDDLE SCHOOL GLORY DAYS ERA | 2002 - 2005--
He's in junior high when Fall Out Boy drops Take This To Your Grave in 2003. He's a tiny body of angst and arrogance at the time, so the rebellious-spirited, nihilistic bad-boy aesthetic of pop-punk really resonated with him. He gets really into it; middle school sucks for everyone, but it especially sucks when you've been heralded as a once-in-a-generation sorcerer with god-like powers yet somehow you're still shucked into an elitist young master's private school full of normal (if not blindingly rich) people.
Gojo is very good looking and very good at everything he tries his hand at, so it's not a matter of popularity necessarily. People flock to him all the time, but even amongst a crowd of enamored pre-teens he's never felt more alone. His arrogant personality keeps everyone at a distance, just as he likes it. It all seems so pointless to him, when he's going to Jujutsu Tech for high school anyway. These people don't matter, and they may as well be aliens with how much they live in an entirely different world than Gojo.

Take This To Your Grave ℗ Fall Out Boy, 2003 | American Idiot ℗ Green Day, 2004 | Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge ℗ My Chemical Romance, 2004
This is also around the time he commits himself to actually learning English well enough to understand the lyrics - no matter how fast or convoluted the accent - and he spends a lot of time ignoring the world in his room with his headphones at full blast. A rite of passage for any self-respecting preteen full of existential fatalism.
Completely alone even as he's put on a pedestal by Jujutsu society, music is really his only solace. It makes a profound impact on him, if only because it's the only human touch that can still reach him through his Infinity. He's pushed everyone out of his life but Gerard Way and Patrick Stump, which I also firmly believe is a preteen rite of passage.
He definitely lays around in bed and debates blowing things up, except unlike regular preteens who regularly stomp up to their room and slam the door shut and tell the world to fuck off he's actually capable of doing it. He doesn't though, and instead just listens to You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison for the hundredth time.
Songs that Made it Onto Gojo's iPod Shuffle:
Blink 182: What's my Age Again, Mutt, Stay Together For the Kids
Bowling for Soup: 1985
Fall Out Boy: Homesick at Space Camp, Reinventing the Wheel to Run Myself Over, Saturday
Green Day: Jesus of Suburbia, American Idiot, Holiday,
Good Charlotte: The Anthem, Lifestyles of the Rich and the Famous
Lit: My Own Worst Enemy
The Killers: When You Were Young, Mr. Brightside, Somebody Told Me
My Chemical Romance: You Know What They Do to Guys Like Us in Prison, I Never Told You What I do For a Living, I'm Not Okay (I Promise), Famous Last Words, Helena
Sum 41: Fat Lip, In Too Deep
Weezer: Say it AIn't So
--HIGH SCHOOL ANGST ERA | 2005 - 2008--
Gojo finally starts his tenure as a student at Jujutsu Tech and it's... unexpected. There are only two other sorcerers in his year and he's not really getting along with either of them. Not that he really puts in anything but a nominal effort. He's spent all of his junior high career as the king of his school, and that was among a bunch of kids who couldn't even comprehend his actual greatness.
Now he's returned to the Jujutsu World, and becomes the irreverent, chaotic, rule-flaunting little shit we all love and adore.
He's a bit disillusioned by it all, to be honest. Life, generally, but also all the pageantry that goes into every facet of it. There's a certain anxiety and depression that goes along with looking at your own life, which is the premise of most of Pete Wentz's lyrics on Fall Out Boy's Under the Cork Tree and also just the thematic overview of Gojo's high school existence. There's an emptiness that comes after the existential dread of self-introspection that Gojo promptly fills up with Fall Out Boy, and then with the addition of Infinity on High (his favorite album, entirely because it has Infinity in the name) even more Fall Out Boy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
From Under the Cork Tree ℗ Fall Out Boy, 2005 | So Wrong, It's Right ℗ All Time Low, 2007 | Infinity on High ℗ Fall Out Boy, 2007
It's an era of Fall Out Boy for him, interspersed with some other great bands of the time/genre. This is also around the time that online music radio Pandora was making its rounds amongst the online music scene, which Gojo spent a surprising amount of time in, for someone who had little to no interest in making music himself.
It would have been nice to be able to bond with his fellow students over music, like he's seen in plenty of movies, but Shoko is a die-hard City Pop fan and Suguru is one of those disturbing 'I just listen to whatever's on the radio' types. Maybe there are other kids in the other years that have better taste, but Gojo's not really the sort to be broadcasting his likes or interests like that - doesn't really fit his 'bad boy' image.
He starts high school pretty firmly entrenched in his pop-punk / emo phase, but it's a pretty tumultuous three years of his life - and society in general, with the internet becoming mainstream and smartphones hitting consumer markets globally - and his music tastes reflect this.
Most Played Tracks on Gojo's Hot Pink iPod Nano:
All Time Low: Dear Maria Count Me In, Six Feet Under the Stars, Coffee Shop Soundtrack, Stay Awake
Cage the Elephant: In One Ear, Back Against the Wall
Fall Out Boy: Sugar We're Going Down, Dance Dance, Nobody Puts Baby in The Corner, A Little Less Sixteen Candles, Thnks fr the Mmrs, This Ain't a Scene It's an Arms Race, The Take Over the Break's Over, Coffee's for Closers
Modest Mouse: Float On, Dashboard
My Chemical Romance: Cancer, Disenchanted
Panic! At the Disco: I Write Sins Not Tragedies, But It's Better if You Do
Paramore: Misery Business, That's What You Get, Decode
Red Hot Chili Peppers: Dani California, Scar Tissue, Under the Bridge
Taking Back Sunday: Makedamnsure, Twenty Twenty Surgery, Cute Without the 'E' (Cut from the Team)
The Strokes: Reptilia, Last Night, Someday
--- ADULTING IS FOR OTHER PEOPLE ERA | 2008+ ---
Post Star Plasma Vessel/Suguru's defection Gojo is a Mess™, but you'll never know it because he continues on acting like an irreverent little shit who doesn't care about anything.
He goes through a period where he doesn't consciously reject the songs that encapsulated his idyllic teenage life, but nonetheless pivots away from the pop-punk genre. He spends a lot of time pulling that Pablo Escobar Narcos meme and staring blankly out into bleak vistas in total silence and solitude. In hindsight, for all his teenage angst and loneliness, his time with Shoko and Suguru had been the least lonely he'd ever felt. Now that he's once again entirely on his own - Shoko off being a doctor and Suguru going off the deep end - he realizes he'd had a brief taste of the feeling of belonging he'd been missing his whole life.
He gets into a lot of indie pop and post-punk stuff, with more electric and synthetic sounds and upbeat tempos.
He traded in his trusty iPod Nano to an iPod Touch, and shortly after switched to the iPhone when it hit the global markets in 2009. Yeah, he was one of those Apple heads, the kind who always had to have the latest Macs and Apple products. In his defense, he was not a tech snob so much as a music snob, and at the time iTunes was the dominant music platform.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix ℗ Phoenix, 2009 | Oracular Spectacular ℗ MGMT, 2007 | The Modern Glitch ℗ The Wombats, 2011
He spends most of his early 20's in an indie phase, gets into a lot of electronic, and then from there uses the powers of the internet and gets into all sorts of other genres. One way or another he spends some time in the disco/house music neighborhood, a genre he and Makoto will spectacularly bond over, only to then do a total 180 and decide to form a pop-punk band together.
By the time he's stuck in his second life, it's been decades since he's listened to some of those songs he used to love as an angsty teenager. As an adult he lost track of all his old CDs, probably gathering dust in the attic of the Gojo clan house he avoids at all costs, and as the world moved towards streaming services he stopped keeping up with his staggering iTunes library. It's not as if he forgot those bands or anything, but as the world's strongest sorcerer he rarely had the time to listen to music like he used to.
When he gets dragged back into life as Todoroki Touya, it's been ages since he's heard Fall Out Boy and frankly, he misses it.
There's a glaring lack of the grunge, pop-punk and emo music in this new world he's in, and after digging around online - and begrudgingly, the local library for history books once the internet proves unforthcoming - he learns that most of those bands he used to love don't even exist in this world. Quirks appeared in this parallel universe just around the time Gojo himself had been born. The global upheaval that followed that profound change in human existence caused a chain of events that would have all the disenfranchised youths of the 90's and 2000's too distracted by global chaos, world wars and civil terrorism to make the music he loved and remembered. Music is art after all, and art is a direct response to the experiences of the people who make it.
As far as Gojo's concerned, not having the likes of Nirvana or My Chemical Romance in an entire human history is an absolutely travesty, so he sets out to not only bring those songs back for himself but also as the one good deed he'll ever care to do in this second life of his. And if he happens to make tons of money and reach critical acclaim while he does it... that's just a bonus.

sorry for answering this so late anon 😭😭 I was going to make a whole playlist or whatever but then the executive dysfunction hit. Anyway off the top of my head for wrath month here are some of my fave explicitly trans bands/musicians:
-Against Me! and G.L.O.S.S. are both classics that im sure uve heard of if not listened to, if not then go do it bc the hype is real. Laura Jane Grace also has a bunch of solo music and a side project called Laura Jane Grace and the Devouring Mothers which r less hardcore but still fuck
-Ezra Furman is an incredible transfem musician, I’m not sure what genre I’d place her in because I feel like she’s very versatile in style. Her lyrics are incredible and moving & her last two albums especially are unapologetically trans and about grappling with mental health under the weight of Everything going on in the world and are really beautiful! If you enjoy mcr’s sound or the kind of bittersweet vibes mitski/orville peck have lyrically you’ll really like her, but I’d recommend her music to anyone tbh
-Trap Girl is one of my all time favorite trans punk bands, they have a trans frontwoman and their music is perfect for putting on when you wanna rage and scream and sledgehammer cissiety. LOVE their style & attitude
-Dyke Drama is like angsty trans lesbian folk punk, not a band I listen to as much as the others on here but still really really good and great for when you want to participate in my favorite summer activity (stomping around miserably feeling bitter)
-She/Her/Hers is another classic transfem folkpunk artist, great for when ur missing the company of other trans people and want to feel cozy
-St Lucifer is a really cool kind of goth-adjacent band (I like to describe them as goth meets disco lmao) from the U.K with at least one trans band member and a lot of trans music
-Jayne County if you want to go really old school trans punk (like 1970s)
And other trans music from artists who aren’t transfem (that I know of anyway):
-Schmekel is a great Jewish transmasc folkpunk band, great if u like pansy division, folkpunk, or live in a city with a queer community and can laugh at yourself
-The Muslims are probably one of the only pop punk bands I like, their songs are fun, angry, catchy, and political
-Aye Nako has great lyrics and is one of the first trans punk-adjacent bands I listened to
-Good Asian Drivers is a slightly older indie/spoken word duo with good like angry political music for people who aren’t into punk
If anyone has more recs for openly trans music send them my way!

okay okay here we go - very messy off-the-cuff oc intro under the cut with some design sketches + doodles (IT'S KIND OF LONG):
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
random other doodle (another system member's self portrait i think? idk djfkdl) for the last pic there sorry fhdksl it was just a handy photo i had on hand that had almost the same dimensions for tumblrs cropping shenanigans (also that one emoji is there in the first pic bc i couldn't get that eye to cooperate fjkdkl)
anyhowdy uhhmm heres Theodor and Philby... Theodor uses he/she and Philby uses they/it and I'm literally just now realizing that they cover the main four bases wtf ... that was not intentional but it is funky and fun !! Theodor has a few nicknames like Teddy, Dory, Theo, etc, while Philby is is just Philby (their full name is Philbert but only their parents call them that LOL)
Theodor has a port wine stain birthmark on his left cheek ! and Philby potentially has rosacea but I'm still looking into that to make sure I'm not pulling any shitty moves if I'm going to have that be a part of their character. they (Philby) use mobility aids occasionally, generally just a cane, sometimes crutches, but they also have a wheelchair on hand for more difficult days.
Teddy is an interesting mix of very patient and loving while also sometimes cocky and impulsive, so he sometimes say things that are unintentionally hurtful or offensive (but is learning to apologize swiftly to help mend his mistakes). to people who don't know him well, he might come across as arrogant occasionally. he enjoys designing clothing items that Philby will often sew up for him, as well as experimenting with different coloured art mediums (pastels, paint, chalk, etc) and makeup (he is absolutely a skincare girlie fjfkdl). he comes from a family that's well-off (definitely upper class but not necessarily wealthy) so he's used to having money to throw around and doesn't quite fully grasp what it's like to be poor or working (or even middle) class, so there's some butting of heads there.
Philby comes from a working class family, not poor but definitely lower class lol. they have a fair amount of pride and can be kind of prickly, but they're extremely thoughtful and can be very kind and patient when they want to be. they're very practical and well-organized, and is integral to keeping things running smoothly in the household. they're very skilled with sewing and they also happen to be a good cartoonist! it takes a bit for them to warm up to new people, but they're usually just neutral and maybe a bit blunt with people they don't know well. if they dislike a person, they tend to have an attitude of "i don't want to waste any of my time on this person" and avoids the person rather than taking the time and energy to decide if they want to be pointedly rude or remain polite.
both of them are really good with kids in their own way! Philby likes being fun and clownish while Teddy prefers to be more of a comforting ... well... teddy bear sort of presence LOL. both of them are super patient w kids though, and they love to spend time helping out with kids when someone needs a babysitter! (why yes this is almost entirely just an excuse for me to think abt how they'd be so good with the kiddos in our system LMAO) if they ever ran a daycare or preschool together they'd be absolutely phenomenal at it, especially since they make up for what the other lacks in their approaches to interacting with children.
Theo prefers kitschy grandma-type aesthetics in both clothing and decor, while Philby enjoys a lot of bright colours and fun patterns that would fit more into "c.lowncore" and "k.idcore" aesthetics (with some occasional punk influences). Theo enjoys a lot of clothing that is maybe considered more feminine, while Philby just wears whatever is comfortable and brightly coloured, occasionally with some blacks to make the colours pop more!
they have a really interesting contrasting dynamic, Theo being a "gentle giant" while also being somewhat impulsive and more prone to hurting people accidentally with his words, and Philby being smaller in stature and more prickly but also much more thoughtful and careful with their words and actions.
also bonus funny thing: Theodor had a trad g.oth phase as a teen in highschool that lasted a couple years hehe

i’m bored and i said i’d do it like a week ago so. what music i think bsd characters would listen to, brought to you from a guy who does not know that much about music
partially inspired by the character songs but not entirely
feel free to give your own hcs too! i imagine ppl would disagree with some of my takes which is extremely fair hehe so go ahead and share your own!! >:3
atsushi: mainstream pop, but generally the more gentle and acoustic stuff, even rock or folk leaning pop. also bubblegum pop he’d still jam to anything that’s fun tho
dazai: mainstream pop but the obnoxious annoying stuff. hyperpop also. but he’s generally okay with any genre. likes checking out experimental indie stuff
kunikida: dad rock, oldies. also hot take he’s enjoy lo-fi stuff (one of the other ada members introduces it to him and he tries working with it to block out noise other members *cough*dazai*cough* make and it works wonders)
ranpo: pop but slightly older stuff like 70s 80s vibes, and jazz but the more upbeat and intense sort of jazz. extremely picky about what he likes and gets bored of songs p quickly, so he enjoys more complex and interesting songs
yosano: pop-rock or indie stuff. smooth jazz. sometimes in the mood for more violent rock and metal in part to drown out noises while working lol
tanizaki: this is 100% bc he occupies the same space in my brain as yosuke hanamura but 00s rock. nickelback and linkin park sort of music. some emo stuff
kenji: would it be cliche to say country. lmao but really i think he’d be chill with anything, but prefer acoustic and indie stuff
kyouka: i think she’d hear modern pop songs involving classic japanese elements and ascend. she’d vibe with bubblegum pop but prefer quieter stuff
fukuzawa: classic japanese stuff ofc. doesn’t particularly dislike anything but prefers quiet/mellow music if possible
akutagawa: do i even need to say goth rock + emo. look at him. that guy inhales symphonic metal for a living and you know it. his guilty pleasure is musicals but like, the old classic extra dramatic sort of musicals
chuuya: classic rock + heavy rock and even hardcore stuff i’d say. punk and its subgenres as well. likes some pop songs as a guilty pleasure but hides it vehemently
higuchi: bubblegum pop and pop punk. kinda similar taste to atsushi as in she prefers quiet and acoustic pop more
tachihara: rock, pop punk, loud and violent
gin: emo. warped tour-esque music. kinda similar to tachihara but edgier
hirotsu: classical music, smooth jazz, quiet and mellow
kajii: exprimental. i don’t need to explain myself
kouyou: classic japanese music
mori: orchestral stuff and smooth jazz. opera even
lucy: musicals and dramatic indie pop (i swear i can’t think of a better way to describe it. i’m sure what i mean has a specific name i don’t know unfortunately but if you know it you probably know what i mean). if anyone likes disney osts it’s her
poe: dramatic orchestral stuff, lots of organ and harpsichord sounds. on the flip side, likes lo-fi chill stuff too
steinback: country lmao
nathaniel: church music. amen
louisa: folk, acoustic, quieter and more mellow pop, as well as some more classic musical stuff
mark: mainstream radio pop no doubt no doubt. doesn’t go too deep into genres he just likes fun songs and whatever he can sing along to
melville: i say oldies and i mean OLDIES like 20s 30s sort of music. classical music as well
francis: oldies, rock n roll specifically. claims to like jazz to sound fancy but does not really get it
fyodor: i mean he’s p much the only character with a canon music taste, so. makes my job easier. he likes classical music
nikolai: realistically, classical music (based on how he doesn’t know the word “band” and asks if it’s like an orchestra in that one omake). emotionally, he would thrive on scene kid music, electroswing, hyperpop, and clowncore stuff. he would unironically enjoy penis music
sigma: indie pop. the most basic music you can imagine that is not quite fully mainstream. kinda bland stuff but that’s the way he likes it
fukuchi: classic old stuff but like, marches and orchestra music. while putting up his friendly persona, he’d scream along to dad rock music
sorry hunting dogs besties i don’t have any takes on you. yet

your cat dog person analogy is soooo true
sorry to go off rn but those m cr fans are just soooo bitter for no fucking reason. they think their morals have to align with their music tastes and find any sort of way to find any sort of dirt on other bands they don’t enjoy. example i constantly see callout posts for band guys that usually overlap with similar fans and music with m cr. look i know band guys can suck and obviously they shouldn’t be praised like saints, but these out of nowhere callouts for band dudes i see are always from m cr accounts. are you actually wanting to call out shitty behavior or do you just want points for being high and moral because youre the fan of the most unproblematic feminist anti capitalist band who’s never done anything wrong?
they always pick and choose on who’s worthy enough to even be liked on some level of m cr example i remember seeing posts about how the savior m cr were the only ones there for paramore 😫🥹 they are just so cool like that!! no other bands were there for paramore 😞
they act like they are the underdogs and how nobody understands them, but i constantly see several thousand notes about how cool the band is on my dash every so often
they will always call other bands cringe or saying they never understood the assignment with their newer stuff or how they were just never on their level of punk rock in the first place. i seen people say m cr has always made consistently good music unlike those other bands who are pop sell outs but bitch your band hasn’t put anything new out in a decade how tf do u know 💀
sorry to go off, but god damn it’s just music, stop, whatever happened to the emo trinity, you all use to love that, what happened
thank you bestie!!!! NEVER be sorry for going off i am always here for it!!! especially when it’s well thought out like this. cuz a lot of my opinions UNFORTUNATELY boil down to “mcr fans annoying” (OBVIOUSLY not including my moderate mcrtuals!!!). im putting the rest of my response under the cut cuz i also popped off but a tldr is: u are the best and i love u.
i absolutely agree with everything you had to say here tholike why do these people act this way. like babes your guys are embarrassing sometimes too or whatever. we all saw frank having an overpriced garage sale of his trash or whatever recently. not really anti-capitalistic to me sounds like!! that’s crazy about the thing you said about paramore tho cuz it’s like. what does that even mean to be a saviour of paramore????? as if they need saving?????? that doesn’t sit right with me for SURE to imply that 😡
sooooo real about the underdogs comment cuz like. i think that mcr feels like the most popular of the “emo trinity” of times past. it’s not like i know this for a fact but i don’t know anyone else irl that is into fob that i HAVENT specifically got them into them!!! whereas i feel like i have so many friends who are into mcr but had never listened to fob until i sent them my playlists. and also another piece of info that backs it up is i’ve gone to 4 emo nights in the last year, and the reception of when they play the black parade vs like…sugar we’re going down is like a BIG difference. except for maybe the specific fob edition, the crowd i would say is duller during sugar like 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄. also like i think you can tell by the dynamics on tumblr too, i feel like there’s like 20 fob girlies and every other bitch is an mcr fan here. we’re outnumbered like CRAZY. and the amount of times i’ve seen people be like “if mcr ain’t your fave from the emo trinity = 🚩” but people NEVER say that about fob. i think i had another example but lost my train of thought bc people are talking around me LMFAO
ALSO THAT SECOND LAST PARAGRAPH LMFAOOOO GET THEIR ASS!!!!!! literally it’s not that deep, it’s music, i get spicy bc i’m frustrated with fob being treated this way from people fob fans are allegedly supposed to be “making out with” or whatever. like i know i’m insane about my four men but they are like INSAAANE about their four men and it’s not in a cute way. as i always say, mcr and fob as bands respect each other and i GUARANTEE the mcr guys wouldn’t want fob to be treated the way these crusty ass mcr mainies treat them. god.
this was rambly, i have no idea if any of this was smart or good, but my main takeaway is to say THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!!!!! and i always appreciate the support ofc bc i’m worried i’m going to be eaten alive by the mcr fans bc they have a history of eviscerating us.

WAIT DID U MEAN HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD???? HAVE U HEARD WAR CHILD? PARADISE LOST?
PARTY BY MYSELF???!!!!!!!
YEAH HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD KJBGDKD
I didn't answer this ASAP since I wanted to give my full Lore about Hollywood Undead + please remember I'm terrible with music genres so like
One of the things I really enjoy about music is buildup; hence why one of my favorite MCR songs is Demolition Lovers. It's 6 minutes of switching from part to part very beautifully, as well as constructing the narrative of the aforementioned Lovers. You get the soft intro, leading up into those initial "I'm trying, I'm trying", which stops but fades again to the "All we are are bullets", which ends in that AWESOME guitar solo(?) that keeps building and building to the "Phantoms forever" part.
Lots of other songs I enjoy have this sort of buildup; Undefeatable from Sonic Frontiers (which like, kinda makes sense as it's both a really good song and also meant to build up to each section of the boss battle it's from), King For A Day by Pierce the Veil, Last One Standing by Simple Plan, City Traffic Puzzle or Sweet Tangerine by The Hush Sound...
Heck, even when listening to Evanescence in 3rd grade I probably enjoyed Bring Me To Life for that reason as well
This Love This Hate has the benefit of also being a Blorbo(tm) song which is another story entirely that I don't feel like telling; but overall I enjoyed the buildup of that song and since I heard it first in a Blorbo AMV + I always associated its lyrics with said blorbo, but that was my first Hollywood Undead song. I'm not sure what genre it feels like since it doesn't sound like the harsher rocks of Three Days Grace or the pop punks of the Emo Trinity, but whatever it is, it's just overall very good at portraying a highly specific mood; similar to Viva La Vida by Coldplay to me, where it's such a melancholic mood for a feeling you simply can't place, but it still makes you Feel anyway.
Sell Your Soul I actually found through a random speedpaint video; I think I was actually looking for speedpaint vids set to This Love This Hate since sometimes I wanna see visuals while listening to my music when lyric vids don't suffice. It def feels more on the rock spectrum than This Love This Hate, which I absolutely enjoyed; but ough the BUILDUP being so much harshly rock-ish helps a lot. The lyrics always gave me the impression of someone being led to their own public execution; screaming from within that they fear their own incoming death, the fear and shame from realizing how many people come to celebrate YOUR OWN DEMISE, to some part of you saying FUCK IT, THROW IT ALL AWAY! FORGET ME! I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE! since either way, you're dying. Considering I enjoyed Three Days Grace in 3rd grade, I think there's something self indulgent in the lyrics + harsh music of Sell Your Soul.
This Love This Hate was just very personally endearing to me, like a blorbo-themed Viva La Vida. Sell Your Soul was outright BOPPIN' to me since its harsh lyrics and rock-y tone was just very appealing to me.
However, I remember going on a Hollywood Undead binge after accidentally finding Sell Your Soul... only to be a little disappointed that the things I was finding just wasn't capturing that same energy of either song
I definitely do have more Hollywood Undead songs in my playlists than just Sell Your Soul and This Love This Hate, but they're not particularly songs I've gone as crazy for as those two.
Tumblr media
I'm not sure if I have time to re-listen to all of these to fully digest, but in re-listening to Levitate I quite like the sound but not particularly crazy for the lyrics. Young is odd because I quite enjoy the instrumentals I'm hearing, but something about the vocals isn't really hitting me as crazily either.
Also just in case bc I forgot it's one of their top songs: Bullet is pretty nice, I quite enjoy the contrast between sad lyrics and boppin' instrumentals! I have no problems with it other than it sounds quite different than the rest of my music playlist so that's why I haven't added it. Not to mention I did used to listen to it during my very bad sad boi hour moments so I definitely need to be in a specific mood to listen to it.
Paradise Lost is the only title I recognize from your ask, but listening to it again it DOES have a bit of dramatic buildup, but it's not hitting me quite much. It has a soft instrumental at the beginning but very harsh vocals, which is a bit of whiplash I personally am not a fan of for this song. I quite like how the chorus sounds at least! But it's such a highly specific vibe that I personally DON'T vibe with; I'll probably add it to my Liked Songs, but not my actual playlists. Not to mention I tend to add music on if I can see myself drawing to them, which I'm not really getting that vibe with Paradise Lost
BUT (and I'm doing this live as I write this post), I will listen to your other songs rq!
War Child, live thoughts:
what the fuck a horn
first lyrics this is more of a #slay song than the dramatics of sell your soul/this love this hate
this fr sounds like the kind of song you'd put over your best gameplay footage
i think that's what i'm thinking tbh, i tend to like more dramatic lyrics, but at the very least i'm enjoying the instrumentals! the vocals are pretty nice too even though they're talking about ass and alcohol; just kind of a disappointment for someone who's more for the dramatic songs
Good song! I could imagine myself drawing to this, but I am more for more dramatic lyrics than "mm girl sexy". I feel like I'd add this to my more boppin' playlists rather than my full on mish-mash of dramatic songs.
Party By Myself, live thoughts:
kiinda don't like this intro for some reason @_@
party music??
this feels more of a #slay song as well
this rap is bumpin' though
yea this absolutely feels like party music; GOOD party music though, like the kind you'd find on a 2012 dj playlist
once again, v bumpin! just perhaps not the kind of dramatic i tend to enjoy
Once again, good song! Oddly enough has the vibe of 2012 party playlists? I'm not sure if it's "imagine myself drawing" levels, but definitely I can see myself listening to this if I wanna feel those #party vibes. And there are a LOT of good party vibes songs out there.
The verdict: Bumpin' songs with no drama go in the Edgar Allan Poe meme playlist
Tumblr media
I thiiink I prefer Party By Myself more than War Child? Those 2012 party music vibes just hit much better than the general #slay energy of the latter.
Once again, there's some level of disappointment I feel however; I do in fact tend to love the more dramatic vibes of Sell Your Soul and This Love This Hate in my general music. It's why I enjoy My Chem so much! Heck, my newest songs in my main playlist are about the #drama;
Tumblr media
1.) A guitar instrumental cover of a song trying to capture the vibes of "The End"; a credits song, a death, your OWN even so!
2.) Love From The Other Side was introduced to me by a friend who also enjoys Fall Out Boy and introduced it to me as "dude the new FOB song sounds so anime". It's very dramatic in its buildup! ...But also Fall Out Boy lyrics have always been slightly incoherent to me so JKSBGKFS I don't tend to care as much when it comes to their lyrics
3.) Okay this one I added because it reminded me of an OC dynamic when I found it but like,,, cmon it sounds like breakup angst
Tumblr media
4.) Heard this randomly as well, but always associated with a sort of seething hatred for someone who's wronged you; it feels like a musical embodiment of glaring intensely at someone
5.) Once again was imagining this one with an OC dynamic and like,,, yeah. #Drama
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think the TLDR is this:
I love drama and buildup within my music, and This Love This Hate and Sell Your Soul were perfect brainrotting songs back when I first listened to them! I would attempt to get into Hollywood Undead more, but each song I listened to just didn't really hit me as much as I wanted; maybe the vocals for one song weren't my cup of tea, maybe it was too much boobs sex and alcohol in the lyrics, maybe the instrumentals just weren't hitting me. Paradise Lost is definitely better than I remember, though once again still not HITTING me as well as those first two songs, and it's still not one I'd consider for my main playlist.
I'm glad to be able to share music with others, and I do quite enjoy the songs you've listed! I do quite enjoy Party By Myself more than War Child since it captures those 2012 party music vibes. However, there's once again the disappointment in simply preferring more dramatic songs than the #slay and party music vibes of these two. There's nothing inherently wrong with it, it's pretty much a matter of personal preference and a bit of surprise I managed to fall in love with Sell Your Soul and This Love This Hate out of all the songs from Hollywood Undead that DON'T fit their vibes! It's just a shame since in listening to those two I was hoping to find another Three Days Grace or Green Day kind of band within Hollywood Undead, but it's just simply not the vibe they tend to pursue within their music and I respect that.
Overall I enjoyed being able to ramble about this, and I'm at least happy to be introduced to new Hollywood Undead songs even if the vibes of them are the opposite of what I tend to enjoy within my general music taste :] Thank you so much for introducing me to them!

MORE ABOUT MY OCS (I LOVE YOU GUYS THANK YOU FOR HYPING ME UP ABOUT THEM) (also I added oc content to my tag list!! it's just going to be any random tidbits I post for now but I'll also tag anyone on there when I have updates on writing/publishing original content if you wanna stay up to date lol)
Jason and Margo as you s/o:
Jason Howard
You want a hot slightly emo/scene skater boyfriend of your dreams?? Congrats you won the boyfriend lottery with Jason. Lo and behold, another skateboarder. Pretty unflappable with a great sense of humor, Jason is a teenage dream of a boyf. Whenever you see him, chances are he’ll be doing something dumb with his friends, then get completely distracted when he sees you. His gaze will go all soft when his eyes land on you and he gets that little smile he only gets around you, then he’ll totally wipe out and crash land hard. He laughs it off (so do his friends) and walks over to greet you with a smooch. He’ll make you a lot of playlists. Like a lot. Like I hope you have time to listen to all of them. If you’re not already into pop punk, you’re about to be, bc that’s what half of his playlists for you are. Every couple weeks or months he’ll get bored and want to dye his hair another color. He always says he wants to shake it up and do something different, but it’ll probably end up being some combination of black and whatever’s on sale from manic panic. He dyes it your favorite color for your birthday month every year and it’s fucking adorable. He wants you to “help him” every time he does dye his hair, even though he can basically do the whole thing himself. He just wants you there with him, and you’re always happy to keep him company.
Margo Baccay
Margo has some of the worst burnt out gifted kid syndrome you've ever seen, and now the only thing she has brain cells for is you. She’ll steal your hoodies in a heartbeat, and live in them 24/7. Whenever you go over to her place to hang out or pick her up, her little sister will run off giggling. Her sister knows absolutely everything about you, and thank god you have her seal of approval. Margo’s love language is binge watching shows together, or doing absolutely nothing over facetime for hours (where her sister will inevitably pop in to say hi at least once). She’s so tired all the time to begin with, and she likes you so much that there’s a good chance she’ll fall asleep on you at some point. She loves your jokes and sense of humor and has a folder in her phone of screen shots of your texts that she looks through when she feels shitty. She has another folder full of pictures and videos of you that she looks through when she needs a little dopamine hit. Half the time if you ask her what’s been going on, she’ll start rambling about the show she’s in the middle of binge watching, giving you all the tea. By the time she’s done, you can jump in the middle of the season and watch it with her, and you won’t have missed anything. She’s very thorough in her critiques of the characters terrible decisions, and you always love to hear it.

I also wonder if the more pronounced Louis thirst in the fandom relates to how he is presenting himself - his image/visuals - nothing to do with how he treats fans which I agree remains unchanged. More pop-punk/dangerous/rough and less sweet/cuddly? Perhaps him being publicly unattached for the first time in years (maybe what some fans have only ever seen) helps this as well - like for those who think he’s bi or straight it’s ok to be more loud about how hot they think he is bc they are no longer fearful of disrespecting Eleanor.
Both Louis and Harry have their own ways of both leaning into the thirst (obviously more Harry, but Louis knows what he is doing in this new era) but also subverting it. I have friends who believe harry is straight but tell me they would never be attracted to him bc of how he dresses (this of course not to say that I think Harry selects his wardrobe entirely on the basis of turning women off).
I think these are all interesting questions anon. I don't think he's been balancing punk/dangerous/rough and sweet/cuddly in roughly the same way since the beginning of his solo career (and I'd also say that it was always pretty mild on the punk/dangerous/rough side).
I really don't think Eleanor can have anything to do with it directly. There's a long history of people thirsting over popstars when they have partners.
I do wonder if there's maybe a two step process though. The obvious one would be that the Elounor relationship was pretty unsexy - and I wonder if it hindered people.
I don't know if I think either Louis or Harry subvert the thirst audience. I definitely think Harry is dressing to express himself and present himself as a rock star (and to fulfill his side of whatever deal he has with Gucci) . I really don't think that subverting thirst is the goal. Of course we don't really know, but I haven't seen anything that I'd consider signs of that.

THIS TURNED INTO AN ESSAY I'M SO SORRY I DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE I'M JUST VERY LONG WINDED AND THIS BAND WAS THE BIGGEST PART OF MY LIFE FOR LIKE 3 YEARS AND I DIDN'T EVEN GET INTO EVERYTHING W THE GUY I DO TALK ABOUT. PROCEED WITH CAUTION
okay i may as well be like a semi-official as it is scholar (less so in the last several months just due to some me stuff) so i may have a bit of insight but i do wanna say patty is quite literally My Boy like. parasocial relationship aside he is 100% for sure the nicest "celebrity" i've ever met in person and i've met quite a few, his vibes are really just immaculate and as much as i'm able to not knowing him personally i think he's genuinely very sweet and cares a lot about just people in general and also in a really unique turn of events i have literally only heard of a single other band dude that had a problem with him and surprise surprise: it was a palaye royale guy. there was a tiny bit of drama there during warped 2018 which i will recount later if you don't know it already but the entire thing is pretty ridiculous and was not long lasting either. the thing that another anon mentioned with all of then suddenly cutting a member off is i believe to do with andy westhead, who was a former guitarist that ronnie ish took the place of in ~2017/18 (can't exactly remember u get the deal). i do not know this for like certain but i saw a few different things on various social media sites that i believe line up with whatever he was doing on his personal social media that alluded to them deciding to cut ties with him due to some really iffy personal politics of his. i also don't know what those would've been exactly, but i will say i kinda got whiffs of some (BRITISH. HOW) trump supporter and homophobia shit. they're really not a "political" band in terms of their music and presentation of the group but the members themselves have always been pretty open about the fact that they're like. very much not the conservative type of people? like they weren't doing crazy ahead of their time shit or anything and they were usually bro-ing around with a lot of the other white boy pop punk bands but they were always pretty affirming of feminism and lgbt+ people and the like. that was also very close to the time that they were shifting from their kinda generic "it's okay not to be okay" vibe and starting to get into more serious issues and darker themes surrounding mental health and they really 180'd their aesthetic and took a lot of their inspo from like mcr and other aesthetically emo bands and patty (+ben a bit) specifically was starting to present like pretty androgynously so i definitely think that's worth noting when you try to make some sense out of it. they've actually lost quite a few members up to this point now but i don't think there's much to say about the others that isn't like Known, i think ben leaving may have been a little bit messier than they portrayed it but i can't say for sure and it almost definitely wasn't anything other than like purely musical or within the band. they did swap bassists like several years ago and i can't even remember the og guys name but that was like before they'd gotten almost any substantial attention as a band and i literally haven't heard like anything about it at all. it may have been what the other anon was referring to but since i actually had like an idea about andy i figured i may as well shed some light. obv take this with a grain of salt since i don't know them personally and i actually only got very into the band just a bit after the dust had settled on this so there really wasn't much talk of it at that point, i just dove deep like a mfer after i did get into them bc y'know special interest things. would be cool to see if any like Veteran as it is fans have something that'll like blow the lid off this whole thing and prove me wrong lmao

i dont even have much to say this is just so cute LOL…… i love how much u love them :,) patty does genuinely seem sweet i think hes more than made up for his sin of being a youtuber
i wanna hear the warped 2018 if u remember it!!! also yikes @ the conservative bassist but good on them for booting him immediately. im kind of curious abt ben leaving being potentially messier but not even in a like ooh dig up the dirt gotcha way, they seem too nice and generally chill for me to believe theres actually any shit behind the scenes now…… anyway its kind of refreshing to have a band thats just Some Guys (positive) :)

what's the deal with the heychris guy? i do not Go Here whatever the fandom is lol
oh Chris is, as far as I can tell (I only recently started Going Here Again), someone fairly well known in the 00s-10s pop punk/emo scene and has made some very funny Twitter jokes about bandom tropes (namely the shipping of real people). the jokes are funny bc they're coming from inside the house and bc its clear he Knows What His Fandom Is Doing, thereby breaking the 4th wall.
if anyone has more information about Chris please add it or message me, I want to make sure I'm representing him correctly.

rating more (modern) bands (or bands that have actually released music recently, squid squad’s p old) based on how gay they are bc i j realized how much of a grandpa i am :,,)
my music straight up has dentures at this point
~~~
c-side - 8/10 i like them :) apparently they’re hard rock/thrash metal and electronic, but i dunno if i would consider them thrash metal. maybe some influences??
anyway it’s rock. rock is a gay genre. it gets an 8
damp socks - 7.7/10 this band makes me wanna get up and punch a wall and run a quadrillion laps around all of the UNIVERSE.
but whatever all that aside they fuckin LOOOOOOVE to feat off the hook on their songs. they have like an full album of that shit. and as we have already established, off the hook is a full 10/10 on the gay-o-meter. so damp socks gets a 7.7
(also marina on the keyboard?!! yesssiiiiir!!!!)
front roe - 6.5/10 every kid who shops at annaki….. you’ll love these guys. actually i bet annaki has front roe merch lmaoo. this band is soooo emo. web says pop punk. bah. it’s emo. could be for gay people or could be for fourteen year olds with pink checkerboard tentacle extensions and too much internet access
(same thing tho, right?)
squid squad - 5.4/10 honestly?? they’re cool and all, but the only song i (or anyone else, probably) actually know them for is now or never, and that song’s been covered a million times by every band ever. squid sisters covered. off the hook covered it. i’m pretty sure c-side covered it too?? and now i think deep cut’s covered it??!?
point is, they’re kinda basic. and the og version isn’t even my favorite. i like c-side’s and wet floor’s covers the most. but the og is giving me some kind of vibes….. dunno. lmk which now or never is your favorite in the comments!!!!
if you’re lookin for where i rated deep cut, it’s elsewhere. but it was a 999999/10 hawhaw
have a cool day ;P
summertime shows are fans favorite shows bc it's too hot for the guys to wear anything else than tanks and shorts and they look fucking GOOD
i look cute too in my lil sundresses and other outfits sharing vocalist duties with meian 🥰
sukuna and beel usually have on some ratty old things they use when they're working out - they don't give a fuck. they're just gonna get sweaty anyways on stage with sukuna on guitar and beel on drums.
esp beel on drums
his drums are fucking gross when the set it done
sometimes he gives me sweaty bone crushing hugs after a set bc he knows i dont like it when he's all sweaty and im like "bRO WHY 😭😭"
meian wants to look ✨️presentable✨️ since he shares vocalist duties so he looks a little more refined - its name brand work out gear that he never really uses to work out in bc he wouldn't be caught dead in his actual work out gear on stage
ushijima is wearing whatever the fuck meian told him to wear. the man took off his shirt ONE TIME bc he got too hot and we almost didn't have a crowd anymore 💀 so now meian dresses him to make sure the clothes stay on
i gotta watch them all change on the bus after a show and they're all shirtless and big and shit
when i pull back my curtain for my bed on the tour bus to not be obvious that im staring, one of them will poke their heads in and ask if i want to get something to eat (usually its beel)
bro, i know they're all still shirtless out there
im too hungry though, all i ate was cheez-its (meian is constantly telling me to eat better but he's not my fucking dad)
this time is worse though because sukuna is just straight up naked
when i yell at him to cover up, he's like
"😌 it isnt anything you haven't seen before"
chaos ensues
meian wants to know when the pact to not sleep with me was broken
ushijima and beel are like "🧍🏻‍♂️ are you the only one she hasn't slept with yet"
ITS TRUE! i slept with beel and sukuna and ushi
and thats why i cant look them in the eye when they change bc my mind just goes back to those nights cjsjfjejdns
managers lucifer and nanami come on the bus now and tell us it's time to go eat
they sense the tension
it's fucking weird and i just want the ground to swallow me
meian comes over and feels my forehead "you're feeling kinda hot, babygirl. are you sure you're okay? did you drink any water?"
lucifer and nanami feel my forehead too and agree i feel too hot too
i am now not allowed to get off the bus to go watch other friends sets and am told to rest :(
meian tells them he'll stay with me and take care of me
when everyone's gone off the bus, meian takes my hand and leads me to the back of the bus to the couch
i know im fucked when he tells me to come over and sit on his lap 💀
Wait, what about awstens take her to the moon. Please fill me in on this and the new thing? <3
i don’t remember exactly what he said but i think it was something abt how fans who dont like it are dumb and only hate it bc its not pop punk so i thought well. guess i need to listen to this one more! i actually think its pretty good now even if the post chorus is a little annoying lol (the bridge is my fave… can u really get lost in heaven ….. ough) and its wayyy better than greatest hits.
hes really turned that attitude up to 11 now so i imagine there are at least some teen fans currently who feel the need to pretend they like his recent stuff more than they do bc of how he acts like these are the best songs hes ever made and pop punk sucks and anyone who prefers the old stuff doesnt understand real music or whatever
