Thinking of an au I came up with years ago where Lance is trans and meets Pidge at the Garrison and is like, ‘oh little trans brother!’ and Pidge just goes with it bc what else can they do without blowing their cover and they slowly realize that they’re non binary through that. Lance and Pidge being trans besties for the win

i need to talk about treech and lamina’s relationship in the movie because oh my god???
the scene right before the bombing where coral recruits treech into her alliance… the fact that he thinks she’s talking to both him AND lamina when she says “hey, lumberjack!” (😭) and when he accepts, he hesitantly looks back at her, he almost doesn’t leave!!!! but he does. and lamina gasps and starts to tear up. it makes me think he’d already told her they would stay together during the games <\3
coral refers to lamina as his “friend from home” when she tells him to go watch the beam she’d been on, i can’t help but assume they’d stayed close to one another in the zoo. (and of course i do personally think they were friends back in district seven, either that or they were childhood friends that met again in the worse way possible.)
when coral and mizzen finally attack lamina, coral stabs her in the back. she looks at the blood on her hand, but the first person she looks at is treech. you can sense how angry she is there, he’d betrayed her. the camera pans to him and he’s wide-eyed, literally about to back away from the scene. then when she actually dies, it shows him slowly moving back in, lingering over her body. and he’s the last one to rejoin the group once they started to chase after lucy gray. the guilt is so strong!
(hiroki was absolutely amazing btw. so was irene!!! i wish they had more screentime because wow.)
i didn’t know it was possible, but they made the 10th games even more devastating in the movie. but i loved that they added this dynamic. really emphasizes that they were all just scared kids who wanted to latch onto each other and go home :(

i’ve still been a little brooding about ted/rebecca (i guess this is my prolonged grieving era as i adjust to it all being over and what we got being what we got!), and for some reason today it’s been making me think a lot about jack/liz from 30 rock, which might be my favorite example of a male lead/female lead platonic relationship that i took great joy in shipping over the years that the show aired.
(some more rambling under the cut!)
just, like. they shared scenes in every episode! their relationship grew so much! they had fights, they made up, they were there for each other, they drove each other crazy, they loved each other’s company, their significant others were weirded out by their closeness! and while the show always stayed in platonic land, it really seemed to have fun flirting with the idea of jack/liz as a romantic pairing, in a way that was extremely silly but also didn’t seem cruel. like, it always felt like the show kinda had fun with the idea of shipping it too, even though it didn’t want to go down that path. maybe it’s that, unlike with ted and rebecca, the 30 rock writers weren’t scared that people might ship jack/liz and so they didn’t try to stop giving them material together?? 🤷‍♀️
i would have loved to get to see a ted and rebecca friendship that was even a fraction that complex and rich! the thing that makes me the saddest is just that i wish they’d had way more screentime together, and i wish their relationship had been explored in a way that was more thorough and more multifaceted and more fun.
oh!! i continue to just be so bummed that they wound up getting so little screentime and growth after season one. you can write a really great platonic love story between your male and female leads, but i don’t think this show did it! i am still not entirely sure what they did, honestly. i think they were like ... friendly work acquaintance unwitting soulmates who saw each other every few episodes, usually briefly, and also he made her biscuits almost every morning for three years and brought them to her in a little pink box but not in a romantic way?????? is that a thing?????? it is now. the ‘potential happy couple, wrong timing, soulmates who never knew it’ bittersweet read of their whole arc throughout the show makes the most sense to me in terms of what their whole thing is. but it still frustrates me on a purely ‘but i wanted to see them share more screentime together and matter more together after season one!’ level.
oh, me. oh, tedbecca nation.
what if i rewatched 30 rock even though i just rewatched 30 rock

I barely engage in SPOP fandom stuff anymore for many reasons but I do enjoy your blog from time to time whenever a thought about how poorly written Catra was enters my head. During the show I kept feeling like I was supposed to pity her, empathise with her and root for her but all I felt was increasing disappointment. She’s got so much potential and I don’t dislike her. I love her character design and the odd moment when she does Cat Things. It’s just…there was absolutely nothing about her relationship with Adora that made me hope they’d end up together. Like for sure LGBTQ+ relationships shouldn’t be sanitized and perfect, but there just wasn’t anything….there? resembling love or support from Catra for most of the show.
On the other hand, what I wasn’t expecting was for Hordak of all people to make me begin to consider to leaving my toxic church and abandoning a lot of very harmful self-beliefs. Something about that moment where he realised nothing he could ever do would be good enough for Horde Prime hit home for me. Didn’t expect that but it’s changed my life for the better, which makes it all the more irritating that the show writers didn’t do a better job with Catra.
Yeah, I'm mostly following like, one or two blogs who post more actively about SPOP (and they're both critical of the show). Honestly, most people I follow on Tumblr don't care about SPOP anymore. I think they all dropped it once season 5 ended.
And same! There are some aspects I still like about Catra, like her design and the Cat Things (I am not immune to cute cat noises), save for some sympathetic moments like the ones with Scorpia. She had so much potential but C//A ruined her completely. If Catra wasn't so dependent on Adora then maybe she could've had a more genuine character development, but she's just stuck as being Adora's possessive and petty girlfriend.
I'm glad Hordak helped you realize that! Although he didn't get more screentime, and the cult trauma ended up being used to make us feel more sorry for Catra than Hordak and the other clones (especially since Wrong Hordak is a joke the entire time), I agree that his arc ended up being more compelling than Catra's. I honestly wish Hordak and Horde Prime's dynamic was shown more often, or earlier on. I only remember it being introduced in season 3 and they don't talk about it that much later on (correct me if I'm wrong). But it did give us an insight to Hordak and I thought it was pretty interesting. It's too bad Horde Prime only officially appeared in the season 4 finale, so he's a rather shallow villain.
It's odd because Hordak has, in theory, less development and screentime in comparison to Catra, but in the end she never actually changes. She just changed sides and not for the right reasons. Catra only joined the Rebellion because she had nowhere else to go. She didn't even save Glimmer for the good reasons, she just did it for Adora. You'd think Catra would learn better after season 4... but she only got a haircut that wasn't even her choice and remained an asshole towards Adora and the princesses. It's such a shame.

Okay, where do I even begin to describe what yesterday did to me? Following all the character descriptions that mentioned these two specifically to be “extremely” busy, I initally assumed that they’d be busy in university related stuff. Thanks to the trailer/other video material, I was proven wrong - and yet, I couldn’t have been more thrilled about it.
So what do we know? A giant digiegg appeared in the sky for approximately the twentieth time by now. And thanks to Takeru, we know that Koushirou has apparently been, once again, suffering from a severe lack of sleep, obviously being very invested in political affairs, explaining and managing the whole issue to the public. And it’s not only him - Taichi is there too, and, according to Hikari, being so stressed that he actively scolded her for calling him while he was busy. Quite the unusual behaviour for the Yagami brother, as Takeru also puts it himself...
Apart from the fact that I wish Toei would finally let these two get some deserved REST, the implications behind the set-up are pretty intriguing. We’ve been discussing whether or not it makes sense that Taichi (approximately 23/24 years old) is already involved in all the political stuff - since this is taking place in February 2012, just one and a half years after the events of Kizuna (Summer 2010), since he had, apparently, just finalized his thesis idea in Spring 2011 according to the end of the movie, but...
I think it makes sense to some degree - because this seems to be an emergency and they needed an excuse for him and Koushirou to not take up so much screentime during the movie again, soooo... Having Koushirou (approximately 22/23 years old) involved at this level is plausible, since he had been publicly invested in Chosen Children related stuff with the community, his company work, etc all the time. And heck... Knowing what direction Taichi was going towards to career-wise, he WOULD have taken him with him to settle things (while the other Chosen did the fighting part), even if Taichi was still in training.
Because that’s what they are - partners in crime, always have been, always will be. Whether they stop missiles together, save the world(s) or take responsibility on a diplomatic level. And that’s EXACTLY what I wanted for them to happen, for us to actually see them working together due to their linked careers, because, it just makes so much sense.
Also their ties? I was very much delighted by the headcanon that Taichi’s tie is actually Koushirou’s, but the shade seems a bit more yellowish than the orange one Koushirou wore in Kizuna. (That aside, Taichi wearing a blue suit, still loyally rocking his associated colour so persistently, is amazing to me.) And Koushirou’s tie is a reddish-purplish shade, as far as I can tell - but that kind of purple doesn’t seem to be his signature colour. (I really wonder if there is anything but suits in his closet by now, but hey, it works for him.)
Instead, I believe that they represent Agumon and Tentomon respectively - and whether they’re both partnerless in this movie or not... It’d be a great homage.
That is all just speculation on my behalf and I do assume that we won’t see any more of them in the movie aside from those 3 seconds, but I’m already happy with the (potential) framing. If I could ask for a happy end for the movie though, a scene like this would be very satisfying.
And they were work buddies...

OBX Season 3: Jiara
Okay, let’s do it. Let’s talk Jiara. This one might get long.
Jiara fascinates me on a fundamental fandom level and always has. As a long-time Bellarke, one of the things that roped me into the show was ship gifsets (mainly JJPope and Jiara). So, when I first watched Season 1 to see both of those relationships be comparably so small in screentime, I was surprised. I’ve been neutrally positive on Jiara over the seasons (definitely with a boost after S2), but have watched this ship have such a huge fanbase after S1 alone, so much so that writers rerouted their own course to respond to fans. It’s fanservice, but that doesn’t make it bad. In fact, it makes it fascinating to me because I’m just so unused to that concept. (Legitimately, this is something I’ve discussed with my IRL friend because I’m just so intrigued by it.)
So, I’ve paid attention to Jiara, knowing that the writers were pivoting and being extremely interested to see how they’d pull it off.
On a scale of 1 to 10, I think I’d give it like... an 8.5? It was a really good pivot in my opinion (not the concept of Kie/JJ together generally, but how well executed they were in changing their flight path).
Starting with my gripes, Season 2 was used to put closure on Pope & Kie and to slightly build up JJ & Kie, especially in the late season. Retrospectively, I could’ve used something a bit more explicit in late Season 2 about Kiara’s feelings because we jump into Season 3 with the longing glances and heavy focus shots on Kie and JJ’s reactions to each other, which I think could be jarring to people who haven’t really been paying attention to this relationship. (Another mini gripe is that I wish we’d stayed a little longer on the “We never should have left Poguelandia” thing with JJ & Kie. I feel like it gets one mention and then let go even though it felt significant for both of them. Like I thought maybe JJ would get mad/be disappointed in Kie for helping flag down the plane, something like that.)
Additionally, OBX... well, they pulled an OBX. The main ship of the show fell in love in an episode. So was I surprised to JJ/Kie almost kiss by episode 2? No. And I don’t think it’s great writing, we skip the “figuring out their feelings” part and go straight into acceptance/denial. HOWEVER, I think they accidentally made something really unique out of OBX’s tendency to fast track their romantic subplots. A full season surrounding a romantic storyline fully about the aftermath of realizing that you have feelings for someone. It’s less of a “Will they/won’t they” and more of a “They almost did. Now what?” And to have that for a full season feels very unique, which I loved.
I adored the scenes they had. Starting with the JJ going into full panic when Kiara gets kidnapped (the first time) and then progressing from there. I really don’t know that they had a scene that missed? JJ’s freakout once they’re back in Kildare is one of my favorite scenes of the season because of how telling it is of JJ’s character. A great choice, in my opinion, to use the relationship with Kiara as an exploration of JJ’s low self-worth. He trashes her, calls her the worst thing imaginable (*shudders* Kook), and even though she’s mad, she still sees through it. Because she knows he’s just scared and vulnerable about fucking up AND has the added insecurity that he’ll be stepping on Pope’s toes. I think the one falter is maybe the money clip storyline, which I think was actually quite smart in JJ’s intentions (intentional self-sabotage), but was better in theory than execution.
I think the relationship was definitely a better exploration of JJ’s character than it was of Kie’s, but it did display Kiara’s deep levels of compassion, empathy, and understanding.
Overall, I’ve been fascinated to see if the writers could pull something that fans made out of one-off lines and actor chemistry and make it work and I think the answer is very much yes. As for the Bellarke to Jiara pipeline, after three seasons, I am finally jumping on (maybe not as rabid as the rest of you but yes I am finally here).

oKAY i just finished bna and so i decided that my favorite character is prolly a tie between nina and the mayor. i just. she's trying her best. she just cares So Much. and nina. i mean. NINA. like she was severely underutilized but i'm love she and decided that she should have ts :)
but then i also really like shirou and nazuna. they're prolly tied for my second favorite character tbh
also the last episode has me thinking marie & nazuna friendship thoughts...
okay that's all for now! just wanted to share <3
wait no i just need to say once more: robbie daymond. is such. a good. voice actor. his voice acting makes me want to say that i can fix alan. he voices him and his manipulation so well that like. transfers through the screen. am i slightly biased because i have a voice actor obsession and thought robbie daymond is an icon even before watching this show? yes but like this bias is fine because i admitted it😌 like alan is just a guy you love to hate he's a slimy little dude but he's good at his job.
also i would like to stab boris <3
now i'm done. just had to shoutout robbie daymond. ... also ben diskin okay byeeeee
!!!!! Hiiiiiiii
so true about nina and the mayor!! I wish they both got more screentime, they had so much potential…… once again the show was nerfed by the episode limit + the “ongoing” manga 😔 (speaking of, rose makes some appearances in that as does nina in a very brief scene).
MARIE NAZUNA FRIENDSHIP THOUGHTS YES ITS MY REASON FOR BEING ALIVE….. so sorry but the prospect of them being friends is so important to me and I LOVE thinking about the similarities in their characters WAUGH. oh?? so you go to extreme lengths to get what you want, so you prioritise yourself, so you have some secret sort of care?? wild, I bet they’d gossip together.
yeahhh the voice acting was so good!! he sounds so sleazy and manipulative (as he is) and the voice is my fav part!! I couldn’t fix him, but I could make him annoyed. that I can guarantee. also thank u marie for slicing through boris like he was nothing, that was so <3 <3 oh and jackie for throwing rocks.

some thoughts on st4 vol 2. read at your own risk:
i think the most disappointing thing about vol2 was that it just seemed like they were going through the motions of finishing all the setups from vol1. but nothing felt surprising or exciting because it was all so obvious
what was the purpose of a 2.5 hour finale? there were so many places they could’ve split that last episode and had a 10 episode season? and it’s not like anyone WASNT going to watch it all at once, it would’ve accomplished the exact same thing. im so confused why they didn’t split that last episode.
the pacing this whole season was just horrendous
i feel like they could’ve just ended the show. it seemed like everything was wrapping up and then at the last minute they were like “jk” so that they would have something to do for season 5. but it could’ve just ended there…
i felt literally 0 things about eddie’s death because it was so obvious that it was going to happen. like yeah it was sad because he was a fun and good character but it was so obvious that it was going to happen that i was just like. okay.
honestly i wish they’d actually had the guts to kill max. not because i don’t love her or because it would’ve even necessarily been a good storyline but just because it would have been *something* that happened. like i feel like literally nothing of consequence happened this season. at least if they’d had the balls to actually kill a main character then like… there would be actual stakes
the eleven stuff in the lab was SO BORING and it remained SO BORING. it’s unbelievable to me that nobody read that script and was like “hey guys are you sure we need to repeat the exact same information like seven times. i feel like people will get it the first time” i was honestly about to fucking fast forward through it. please why couldn’t that have been cut
i still think the 001 henry vecna character was lame and this didn’t change my opinion on that in any way
mike still sucks and i still don’t understand it. i can barely even articulate how mad i am because THAT IS NOT MY MIKE they fucking destroyed him. and for WHAT
the russia stuff was also still boring. even the hopper joyce kiss was just like ok yeah. but they barely interacted for the whole season like their whole romance this season was just like “trust us guys” based on development that happened in the last three seasons so that when they finally kissed it ended up just being sort of meh because they only had like 4 minutes of screentime together. like i can’t believe we built up to that for so long just for me to be like. okay.
i guess we weren’t going to find out why dr brenner was alive. i guess also there was going to be literally no purpose in bringing him back either. also why did he have to die so dramatically and for such a long scene when THE MAN DIED ALREADY IN THE SHOW. look i love matthew modine but seriously what was the point
literally can anyone tell me what the point of robin as a character is? and even more so what the point of her stupid love interest is??? she literally didn’t do anything. like. again i was just like WHO CARES
i guess lucas and max are cute still
the jock character also literally did nothing. he just was there to add some suspense in the lucas and max scene in the attic and then get knocked out and never appear on screen again? okay.
if they had really planned all this out then why didn’t they shoot some of those eleven flashbacks when mbb was still a little kid huh. instead of doing the weird uncanny valley cgi. it almost makes u think… that maybe…… they didn’t plan it all out…………
what is will doing as a character. seriously what did he do this season that impacted the plot in any way. we just got ANOTHER “i can feel him” speech to end the season like WE GET IT but can they give this poor kid something to *do* (please give me evil will. like not evil by choice but give me will villain era. it was hinted at so hard and then he still did nothing)
stancy gang… we neither won nor lost tonight. we didn’t win to the extent i was dreaming we would, but we also didn’t lose to the extent i was worried we would. the door is still open for stancy. that’s literally the only thought in my only brain cell that’s still hanging on to anything in this show.
i don’t even know what to think like what was the point of any of that.
okay good night love n light besties

Hiiii! I was wondering how would you rank the seasons of GG? ☺️
Hey Anon! Thank you so much for thinking of me here. I’m not great with formulating run on thoughts into words but this is the scattered web my brain weaves when thinking about good girls from best to worst.
Season 5 – Yes, I know we didn’t actually get to see it lol. But in my world, s5 would have been Beth finally realizing Rio has intense feelings for her and with the shift in their (mostly her) dynamic, she would finally have the headspace to realize the same. I think future seasons could have seen AMAZING things with Beth and Rio working together instead of against each other. The anarchy they would have created would have probably been unmatched. They’d be running Detroit for sure and just like ficland, they would have branched out and probably into Canada. I’m picturing Beth out in the community, getting her hands dirty and Rio taking full advantage, just watching them drain everyone around them of everything they have. Watching the city burn together. Then, Beth in Nick’s old office at his once desk with Rio getting her on top of it and just, WE WERE OWED THIS SCENE. They’re definitely crime soulmates and the chemistry was insanely palpable. 🥵🥵
Season 2 – Because well…. Season 2. 🍑🍆. Do people still use these? I feel like they don’t. Anyway, the bathroom scene. The ‘vette scene. The bedroom scene. Rio’s apartment. The couply bickering. It was all just chaotic and them, sooo peak Brio. Rio had strong and fresh feelings he obviously didn’t know how to handle, and he really just let it all hang out which he didn’t do again in the same forceful way until s4. He was consumed by her and so LOUD about it, it gives me chills just to think about. He would have given her the world if she would have paid attention. Also, Mary Pat? I get salty because she had the guts I wished Beth had all along. She was ok with pretty much anything she had to do to support her family and Beth could have taken a page or two out of her book.
Disclaimer that the s2 ending had me considering putting s2 at the bottom of the list but luckily for me I’m good at dissociating and compartmentalizing. 🙄
Season 1 – Season 1 started so strong and mildly stroke out to this day when I think about the energy of Rio’s scenes in episode s1e1. He was chaotic and magnetizing, but mostly just…unexpected? The soundtrack in s1 was bomb and Beth’s look was off the charts… prooobably why Blazerville USA in s2 sucked so hard for me. She had this vibe in s1 of revenge and fierce female anger that was perfectly reasonable given the situation and I was here for it. The writers got amnesia over the summer though and that was pretty much all gone from there on out. Also, s1 Beth actually had a personality beyond exhaustion and overconfidence. I think back to Beth telling the whole story about how she went back to Canada and her van was full of paper and Ruby and Annie just 😳😳🤯🤯 until Beth lost it. Why didn’t we get that more? It was endearing and humanizing in a way they forgot to commit to in later seasons leaving Beth unrelatable and dry at times.
Season 4 – Season 4 had some unexpected goodies, but the therapist and dean pretty much ruined most of it for me. Dean had WAY too much screentime with his little buddies and I think everyone here must remember how I feel about Dean. The therapist storyline, was that supposed to develop Annie’s character? Because it didn’t. I’m imaging sending her to jail for a few months “over summer break” doing 100x more than making us sit through 10 episodes of her obsessing and entangling with her therapist before finally presenting him with a dead smashed-up butterfly and checking out. What in the actual fuck was that?  The best part of s4 to me was getting to see parts of Rio that we obviously never got to see before. They still missed the mark completely on developing him as a character and I’m not even going to get into all of that right now, but meeting Rosa and Nick gave Rio a layer that I was deeply missing before. They again missed the mark on developing the brother/cousin thing and I think even one fully Rio-centric episode to show the cause of his family dynamic would have changed everything for me. Why didn’t they fill in any gaps between Nick’s “now we can do anything we want” comment and Beth finding Rio waiting for her in his kitchen? How long was he in FCI Milan? What was that like? How did come up so fast after that? What did Rosa have to say about it all? That’s what I needed to see. His transition and his backstory but in true GG writer fashion, they forgot all about it.
Season 3 – At least we got the car wash scene and the “show me”. I wasn’t nearly as bothered by Lucy’s death as most people because it just made sense to me. After s2 ended, someone in her circle had to die and we all knew Rio was never going to kill Beth. But I can understand why people hated seeing Lucy die. It needed to be done IMO and she just didn’t add enough value for me to feel the need to keep her around so she was that person. My problem was mostly the hitman storyline and s3 starting with Beth befriending Rhea like that. Whaaaat the fuck. Not only was it weird, it aided in softening her character at a time they should have been trying to build up more momentum since the damage was already done. But back to the hitman storyline…it was just…lazy and all-consuming. Not only that, but it went on and on and nothing even ended up happening?! At a certain point, I almost just wanted him to shoot Rio and get it over with (stick with me here). I love Andrew McCarthy so if the storyline could have been 1-2 episodes before Beth realized she was crazy and that’s not what she ever wanted and she finally took a step back to strategize like the mastermind she was capable of being, I would have liked that.
Anyway, I think I rambled way too long but in all honesty, I’ve barely said anything I wanted to say. Maybe I’ll elaborate more on this later just for my own benefit and then put it out there in case anyone else here might want to read it too. Lol.

My honest opinions on canon MCU pairings
Or at least. As close to canon as we’re gonna get
Pepperony. The first pairing the the movies. And therefore the best
Steggy. I may marginally prefer scarlet america but it doesn’t mean I hate steggy. I still say that both Steve and Peggy got the endings they needed
Brutasha. So much potential. Sadly it can never happen because Natasha’s six feet under. But I still have my imagination. So there
Claura. I love them. But they need more screentime together
Thorkyrie. So much potential. I just wish they’d met in a better movie than ragnarok
Spideychelle. What we had was great. But unfortunately the higher ups listened to the whiners who complained Peter had it too easy and now he’s alone, dirt poor, friendless and Michelleless. So thanks for that. Not.
Starmora. Had great potential. Sadly we’re right back to square one right now. But. Hopefully they can get back on track.
Kragula. Same deal as starmora. Had great potential. Sadly we’re right back to square one right now. But. Hopefully they can get back on track.
Wandavision. Same deal as steggy. I marginally prefer scarlet america. But hey. He made her happy for a bit so it’s not so bad.
Sarahbucky. We. Need. More. Plus. The idea of Sam’s former flames (yes I’m also a samsteve shipper) brother may get with Sam’s sister is just so much fun to me personally.
Langdyne. They’re great. But they need so much lore screentime
Sylki. Honestly did not care one way or the other. But now I just want it to happen to piss off the fans who fooled themselves into thinking he’d be getting a leg over with Owen Wilson.

Hi Callie! In your opinion, what are the top ten best Mccoy centric episodes in TOS? You don't have to answer if you don't want to, thanks for reading anyways! ❤️
Ooh, good question! This is a little hard because McCoy, compared to Kirk and Spock, didn’t get a lot of centric episodes. Actually I think he only really got like… two out of 79 episodes (depending on how you view it). But he DOES have a large prescence in others, so let me see here…
Tumblr media
1. The Empath Technically it’s a Triumvirate episode, but this has McCoy’s best moment in the entire show. Like if you want to understand McCoy’s character, this is the episode that you turn to. I already blabbed about why once so I’ll let that go into it for me.
Tumblr media
2. For the World is Hollow and I Have Touched the Sky: While some of the execution is a bit iffy, this is still a realy excellent episode. Mainly because DeForest Kelley plays McCoy here with everything that he has and just nails everything, McCoy’s sadness, loneliness, and invevat le fate of dying in a year, masterfully. The episode would be NOWHERE near as good if not for De Kelley.
Tumblr media
3. The Man Trap: This and the last one are the only two McCoy-centric episodes, at least that I recall. This one often gets overlooked since it’s first so I think that the emotional impact gets lost. But God McCoy in this episode is just outright tragic. I wrote a whole post about it because it felt so unfair that it was overlooked because there is SO MUCH there. Also mrke amazing De Kelley acting
Tumblr media
4. All Our Yesterdays: While McCoy does spend a good chunk of it passed out from hypothermia, he is freakin’ excellent in this episode. He’s not only hilarious (“He means it’s cold!”, De’s delivery made me burst out laughing) but when he’s finally awake, he’s just freakin’ awesome. He put himself at GREAT risk to snap Spock out of his mental state and then went ‘screw it’ and tried to find the portal home cause he wants his life back, with or without Spock (but preferably with Spock). He’s just great~!
Tumblr media
5. Return to Tomorrow: This whole episode is super underrated. It’s the one where the alien beings posess Kirk, Spock, and Lady of the Week’s bodies. McCoy is the ONLY rational person in the episode and the one who has to deal with the majority of the problem. He has to both worry about everyone’s minds in the orbs and what the aliens do to their human bodies and is VERY concerned throughout. It also demonstrates how devkted to his profession and oath that he is. He even outright risks Kirk dying for good, as painful as it is for him, because it would mean allowing another to die and like Hell is he doing that. Seriously, this one is so freakin’ overlooked.
Tumblr media
6. Bread and Circuses/The Immunity Syndrome/The Tholian Web: Yeah three way tie cause they all have one thing in common: they feature his complicated relationship with Spock. The first one I wrote a whole meta about already. It’s a Spones analysis, but it reflects why McCoy himself is great in this episode along with all hos geneal grumpy snark throughout. Oh and the ending with him throwing a mattess at a guy… and he wins IIRC. Best underrated comedy moment EVER. With the second, he’s not at all happy with Spock being picked over him to examine the amoeba and that Spock may die. Their whole interaction in the hangar, McCoy waiting until the doors close to wish Spock luck, Spock’s seeming final words, and of course “Shut up Spock! We’re rescuing you!”. The last one of course has Kirk gone and McCoy is angry, grieving, and stressed with everyone losing their minds and Spcok pressuring him to fix it all at the same time and he takes it out on Spock. Then they see Kirk’s final message and we all know what happens after. All three do such a great job showing how much McCoy cares about Spock and showcasing how great they really are together, and not even just the shippy sense. Only reason they’re at six is because of how closely tied to Spock he is in those episodes instead of being the central character, but he IS still central in them and showcase some of his best moments. So I hope I got my point across XD
Tumblr media
7. A Private Little War: The episode’s message is kind of… questionable. But ignoring thay, McCoy is the real freakin’ hero of this story. It’s only because of him that Kirk survived and he’s more than willing to contront him on his questionable decision making. Which is the very thing that Kirk brought him for to begin with. It’s one of the best episode to show how much he cares about Kirk and the lengths he’ll go for him. Oh and he kept Spock from dying along with Chapel and M’Benga. Thank God he has competent medical staff who can do the job without him XD
Tumblr media
8. Journey to Babel: Okay yes this is a Spock episode, but McCoy is VERY prominent throughout. He’s both hilarious in the cold opening and we all remember his reaction to Spock’s ‘teddy bear’ XD. But he managed to conduct a VERY risky surgery that put Spock and Sarek at great risk if he screwed up. A surgery he’s never really conducted. And during a battle that causes frequent rattling to boot. He succeeded and the episode appropriately rewards him by allowing him the final word. It’s not only oen of the best episodes showing why he’s the CMO, but he’s just freakin’ great the whole episode.
Tumblr media
9. Amok Time: Again it’s a Spock episode, but I repeat what I said about Return to Tomorrow: McCoy is the real hero. He’s the one who recognizes that something is horribly wrong, puts up with zero excuses, actually usus logic to get Spock to comply, and of course it was him who saved both Kirk and Spock’s sorry butts. They’d both likely be dead had McCoy not been there. He may have had the least screentime of the three, but he damn wel made up for it.
Tumblr media
10. Operation: Annahilate: It has one of the saddest but strongest McCoy scenes. Through the whole episode he’s super protectice of Spock, running various tests to get rid of the parasites and trying to keep Kirk’s kid nephew alive all at the same time. Then he gets made by Kirk and Spock to risk blinding the latter… and DOES blind him. Then his face when the test result revelaed that he didn’t need to use an jntense light and being outright unresponsive when Kirk calls him later… just ouch. It’s one of those moments I wish it had gone more in depth, but upseide is we have haply McCoy by the end. Want proof of how much he cares for Spock and others? Here you go
And he has really good scenes in other episodes despite varying levels of prominence (Miri, Space Seed, The Galileo Seven, This Side of Pradise, The City on the Edge of Forever, Mirror, Mirror, Friday’s Child, The Ultimate Computer, Spock’s Brain… no seriosuly he’s the biggest bright spot in that and for certain S3 episodes tbh). It’s a HUGE shame that he was treated like the third wheel both in series and the films, and even now gets the raw end of the deal in popular media. But I hope that this was a satisfactory list Anon. Sorry it got all wordy and long, I can’t help myself sometimes XD

finished my re-read of EotW
Some definite improvements happened in the show, some of the changes that I was uncertain about make a lot more sense after my re-read, but there are definitely some bits from the book that I’m sad weren’t able to make it into the show.
Stuff I wish we could have gotten:
1. Mat and Rand’s half of the road trip is so good and I wish we could have gotten more of it on-screen. I loved Dana and think she worked well as a compression of their trip and I understand why it was compressed so much but, man. Gode and the Four Kings and Rand learning the flute and Mat learning juggling. The show did a good job with the vibe of the road trip, but I wish they’d gotten those two extra episodes that Rafe wanted for S1, because I feel in my bones that we would have gotten more of the stuff that got elided in that “one month later” title screen.
2. Rand and Elayne’s first meeting, which I genuinely think works so well as an introduction to Elayne and the Caemlyn set of characters, but also does set up their romance in ways that showcase Elayne as a protector and as brave and compassionate but a bit naive and definitely more than a bit entitled. And there’s an interesting symbolism for their relationship that the books mention that I did not pick up on when I was younger (I’m sure that people have noticed it over the years, lol, but I did not) -- Rand is told that “the Queen is married to the land” and then, in a dream, that the Dragon is “one with the land”. I know it’s not a popular opinion, lol, but I genuinely like Rand and Elayne’s relationship best out of the pairings embedded in the polycule -- I think their scenes together ‘pop’ and I just think they needed more scenes and more ‘on-screen’ time. Anyway, obviously Elayne will get introduced in S2, but we might not get anything like the garden scene and that makes me a bit sad. I hope she does get a good introductory scene and she’s not just introduced as Already Egwene’s Friend In The White Tower.
3. Bayle Doman. :-(
4. I am sad that we missed out on Lan bonding with Rand, because even though he does teach Rand some really bad lessons, he also has good intentions and teaches him some useful things as well. We may get that in the next couple of seasons, but we also might not. I guess we’ll see!
I do notice all the things that I ‘wish we could have gotten’ are things that would have developed Rand’s character further. Not sure if that’s part of why I missed them, but I thought I’d note it. If all of those things had been included, though, then the season would have weighted even more strongly towards Rand having more screentime than everyone else except Moiraine.
Wait, I do have another thing:
5. More Loial would also have been nice! We didn’t get enough with him.
Stuff that I think was an improvement:
1. Getting the Aes Sedai politics in so early! Good choice, considering how important they will be later on.
2. While I’d wish that we’d gotten the full history of Shadar Logoth, I do think that the way Mat got the dagger in the show was a vast improvement over the three boys being willing to go help this random shady dude in the middle of a dead city.
3. Min’s introduction I did like better here than in the books. I like that she met Rand a bit later, when he’s already going through it, and I really liked the new addition about her having had her first viewing when seeing Tam before he found Rand. That’s neat!
4. Making Siuan/Moiraine a current relationship and not just a ‘when we were young’ thing. That was really well done and a big improvement.
5. Adding more scenes to show Lan and Nynaeve developing feelings for each other. I was able to pick up on some hints during this reread but the extent of their feelings still kinda comes out of nowhere. Good to get some context.
6. Everything with Logain’s storyline was fantastic. Loved it.
7. Ishamael is a lot better in the show than he was at this point in the books. I loved everything with him and Rand in episode 8.
8. Speaking of episode 8, I also still really approve of them splitting the climax up so that Rand doesn’t basically Do Everything. I wish they’d gotten a chance to film their pre-Covid vision, because it sounds like it was even better from the snippets that we’ve heard about what they lost but had originally planned on having, but the Ishy and Rand stuff was gold regardless.
9. While I wish we’d gotten one more episode with him in the middle, I liked this introduction to Thom more than the books! It made zero sense to me that Moiraine and Lan let Thom tag along in the books in the reread, tbh. Moiraine is just weirdly fatalistic in EotW sometimes, very ‘I guess this might as well happen’. The Moiraine in the show feels like a much more proactive character. Makes sense, I guess, because she’s now a protagonist too, not just a mentor figure. And I feel the same with Egwene as with Thom, re: the trip. I like that Moiraine has a reason to take her along on this potentially incredibly dangerous journey and isn’t just ‘lol it’s part of the Pattern I guess’.
10. I like that Egwene and Rand were sleeping together at the start of the show. For two reasons -- it shows us that the Two Rivers doesn’t get so worked up over this stuff as it did in the books, and it means that Rand’s focus on Egwene (which exists in the books too, btw; the show didn’t make it up!) feels like it’s more based on reality and not on wishful thinking. In the books, Egwene basically breaks up with him before they ever start dating, and they manage to be Weird On-Off Exes without ever having actually been a couple, and it just... idk, feels like it makes more sense the way they did it in the show.
11. Padan Fain! I liked this version better than the dirty scuttling beggar deal that we got in the books. And it fits more with what he becomes later on, if I recall correctly.
12. I think it’s good to push Elyas back and let Perrin start to get into the wolf stuff on his own before he meets a potential mentor figure. There’s still a lot that Elyas can teach him if they meet in S2, which I believe he’s been mentioned to be casted for.

Psycho Analysis: Suicide Squad Team A
Tumblr media
(WARNING! This analysis contains SPOILERS! Seriously, as soon as you click that read more, you’re gonna be smacked with SPOILERS! Don’t say I didn’t give you ample warning this time!)
The world’s in danger yet again, and Amanda Waller is in need of some expendable forces to take on some dirty jobs in the name of preserving peace. Last time she did this, it seems like she hired the wrong people. Nice guy Will Smith Deadshot? Bland, boring Killer Croc? El Diablo, who became attached to a bunch of reprobates after spending a couple hours with them? The only one who was useful in that squad was Katana. She had their backs, could cut all of them in half with one sword stroke just like mowing the lawn, and her sword traps the souls of its victims. Unfortunately, she was decidedly not expendable, so what is a girlboss like Waller to do?
Easy: Assemble a brand new squad of criminals to do the dirty work. Harley and Boomerang are the only ones she brought back, because let’s be real, they’re the only ones we give a damn about. Filling out the rest of the squad are the stoic, craggy crackshot Savant; the handsome, German spear-thrower Javelin; the alien warrior Mongal; the frothing, psychotic animal Weasel; the confident and all-powerful TDK; and Blackguard, who is literally just a guy. Together, this team gets deployed to Corto Maltese to do what no one else can do, and with skills like theirs, they are absolutely unstoppable!
They all fucking die before the opening credits.
Motivation/Goals: Considering the goal of the squad is to shave time off their prison sentences by going on the mission, it’s ostensibly the reason every single one of these goons accepted the job. Savant and Weasel are pretty well established in this regard; we get to focus on Savant for much of the opening, so we can get a sense of him, and Weasel is stated to have murdered no less than 27 children. So, yeah, they need to do this mission.
The rest, though? Who knows! Why are Mongal, Javelin, and TDK in prison? How did they even get an alien like Mongal? What did they do to land in the position they’d need to go on a suicide mission? Why doesn’t this movie have flashy, intrusive cards explaining everything to us in a throwaway gag in a montage?!
Blackguard, at least, has some other motivation. He sold out the entire squad to the military of Corto Maltese, which is why they’re ambushed. Now, there’s actually some ambiguity here: Did he do this of his own volition, and was this a complete surprise, or is it, as it is heavily implied, all part of Waller’s plan and she let this happen as a diversion for the other team to get in unnoticed?
Honestly, though, it doesn’t matter what their goals are. They’re all dead within five minutes of the movie starting, with one exception.
Performance: So, the reason these guys are even worth talking about is because, despite their minuscule screentime, all of their actors manage to cram in enough humor and characterization that they’re all pretty fun and likable. Michael Rooker is as stony and stoic as ever as Savant (until he hilariously isn’t), Flula Borg’s Javelin is really sweet and charming in his interactions with Harley, and Pete Davidson’s Blackguard is just amazingly douchey and pathetic. Special mention goes to Nathan Fillion’s TDK, who has an utterly endearing and unwavering faith in his astoundingly crappy ability to… detach his arms. It’s honestly kind of beautiful. Then there’s Weasel as portrayed by Sean Gunn, who is just a hilarious crackhead of an animal man.
Final Fate: Literally every single one of them die horribly thanks to Blackguard’s betrayal. He’s the first to go, because as soon as he walks out saying “Hey guys, it’s me, the one who contacted you!” he literally has his face blasted clean off. The rest go soon after. Mongal, in one of the most astounding moments of idiocy I’ve ever seen, leaps on a helicopter despite Rick Flag telling her specifically not to. Her weight and strength send it careening out of control, which leads to it shredding Captain Boomerang to bits before exploding, burning her alive as she painfully screams and writhes in agony. TDK gets his arms shot into Swiss cheese, leading to him bleeding out since even detached they still are part of him. Javelin is also shot, but gets a dying moment with Harley where he passes her Checkov’s Javelin. Finally, after witnessing all of this carnage, Savant completely loses his shit and tries to swim away, leading to Waller blowing his head up.
You may be wondering what happened to Weasel. He appears to drown as soon as the Squad deploys, because despite being actually smart in this movie, Waller forgot to make sure everyone on the Squad could swim. Thankfully, this lovable child-murdering crackhead rodent was just sleeping, and wakes up in the first credit scene.
Best Scene: Obviously, it’s their one and only scene. It’s a magnificent slaughter that puts the X-Force scene from Deadpool 2 to shame.
Final Thoughts & Score: I’ve gotta hand it to James Gunn. Even though these losers are only onscreen for a few minutes, they all get to cram a lot of charm and personality into that time, to the point it’s actually kind of sad seeing them all die. It’s a beautiful mix of comedy and tragedy. Since their screentime is so limited, though, I’m mostly going to be grading them on style, performance, and so on rather than on villainy like normal. They are all bad guys, as they don’t really get a chance to redeem themselves like the other Squad, so I’m still counting them as villains, which means they could potentially score above an 8 (which is the highest score I’m willing to give heel-face turn villains, because they end up being better as characters in general than as villains).
I’m also not going to talk about Boomerang (I’ll talk about him when I review the original Squad) or Harley (because she not only lives, but deserves her own solo Psycho Analysis). Now here we go, from best to worst:
TDK
Tumblr media
If you thought anyone but TDK would get top marks, you’re sadly mistaken. Seeing Nathan Fillion proudly wield the insanely lame power to detach his arms to lightly tap soldiers on the head and gently grab their guns is a sight I never knew I needed to see until this movie. The fact he just seems so darn proud about this power that he doesn’t even bother to use in any way that would be remotely useful is honestly really endearing. Frankly, the sheer fact they adapted Arms-Fall-Off Boy in any way is enough for me to give him a 10/10.
Weasel
Tumblr media
Weasel is just disgustingly delightful. He’s just a horrible, nasty, ugly little bastard… But he’s kind of adorable? He clearly has no idea where he is at any given time and is just so goddamn freaky that I can’t help but love him. The fact that, despite being a character who in the comics is noteworthy only for dying on his first mission with the Squad, he manages to survive the entire movie is pretty impressive. Hopefully he comes back in the future, but either way he gets an 8/10 from me.
Javelin
Tumblr media
Honestly, aside from Boomerang, his death stung the most. He’s just so cute and charming, and he doesn’t even get to fling his javelin at anyone! Thankfully, he passes it on to Harley, and boy does she ever get to use it! He’s so cute, I have to give him an 8/10. I just wish we got more of him.
Savant
Tumblr media
Savant is just an absolutely hilarious bait-and-switch. We follow him through the prologue, with everything seeming to point to him as our main character and the Squad leader. He’s stoic, he’s cranky, and he has impeccable aim… and then we get to the beach and he just freaks the hell out and starts screaming and crying and running away like a little bitch. Seeing Michael Rooker act like he’s shitting his pants after playing a badass like Yondu is just the sort of hilarious subversiveness that James Gunn loves to do when you let him loose. The fact that he looks like, to paraphrase the TVTropes YMMV page for the movie, a “cyberpunk Tommy Wiseau” is the icing on this 7/10 cake.
Blackguard
Tumblr media
I was prepared to hate this guy just based on how lame Pete Davidson’s costume was, and you know what? I do hate him. But I love to hate him. He’s just an utterly pathetic scoundrel and a coward, true to his name. The fact he is the first to die, as just about everyone predicted, and is killed absolutely gruesomely makes any annoyance he could provide moot, and his freeakout over being seated next to Weasel on the plane is actually kind of funny. I was originally going to give him a 6, but you know what? He can have a low 7/10. He’s like the only member of this particular Squad to actually do anything evil, so I gotta give him props for that.
Mongal
Tumblr media
Let me make this perfectly clear: I do not blame James Gunn or actress Mayling Ng. I’m not actually mad at either of them for what they chose to do, because it is ultimately hilarious and sad. It suited the narrative of the film, and I’m not actually, genuinely mad.
With all that out of the way, Mongal is one hell of a stupid cunt. It is one thing to cause your own death with your stupidity, it is something else entirely to cause the death of a beloved character with your poorly planned attack. The fact she didn’t take into account how her weight and strength would effect an airborne helicopter makes one wonder if she is really supposed to be based on a character who can take on Superman and live to tell about it.
Let’s compare her to two similar characters to really show how bad she is. Like Blackguard, she is directly responsible for a death on the beach, Blackguard being responsible for everyone by selling them out and leading them into an ambush (and yes, I’m including him as well), and Mongal killing Boomerang with the chopper. The difference is, Blackguard’s betrayal was deliberate, he meant to sell the team out, he was actively doing something evil there, while Mongal killed Boomerang out of sheer idiocy.
Now, let’s compare her to Zeitgeist from the similar bloody massacre that occurred during X-Force’s deployment in Deadpool 2. Like Mongal, he accidentally kills a teammate. The difference is, in the case of Zeitgeist, he only accidentally melted Peter, it was a freak accident, and ultimately it does get undone by the end. Meanwhile, Mongal made a conscious, stupid decision and ended up killing her squadmate with her own idiocy. She sucks, hardcore. I don’t do this lightly, but I’m giving her a 1/10. Villains just don’t get much stupider than her.
I will giver her this, though: the makeup work on her is good. She’s lowkey kinda hot if I’m being honest. But being hot and having good makeup does not a good villain make.

@caustic-cakes asked for--
GERRI/ROMAN
What made you ship it? Honestly, for a long time all I knew about this show was a) that Mr. Darcy was acting real weird on it, and b) that Gerri/Roman was a thing, and I was truly always like, “If I ever watch this show, it will be for whatever that MILF situation is.” And I was RIGHT and I remained extremely in character in this instance, I have to say.
What are your favorite things about the ship? I like that the writers followed the actors’ natural chemistry into a weird, delightful-as-hell wonderland and wound up writing a really unique kind of ~romance~. I also find the idea very interesting of just not really having someone on your radar for decades (I think it’s implied that, despite Gerri being Shiv’s godmother, Gerri and the kids weren’t super close since Roman didn’t immediately remember Baird’s name or the fact that he was dead) and then having something specific happen that totally shifts your perception of them and the role they play in your life. It’s just fun and crazy and fun! And, as of s3, soul-crushing! Also, by god, let the world of fiction have more older woman/younger man romances already.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? I don’t know how unpopular this is now that everybody’s recovering from the s3 finale, but I do think all is not lost in season 4! I think there’s some hope! Hope for what, I do not know. Hope for absolute madness, probably. But we can all pretend there’s hope for them hooking up after Connor and Willa’s wedding reception.
TED/REBECCA
What made you ship it? I actually didn’t very strongly ship Ted/Rebecca, from what I remember, the first time I watched the show back before it had much of a fandom! I think it kind of crept up on me and by the time the  darts scene happened, I was like, “wait--what--?!?!?!?”. Then I rewatched it early this year and from episode two, I was just like, “God damn, this is the greatest subtle-yet-not-subtle romantic setup I’ve ever seen in my life.” The freaking BISCUITS.
What are your favorite things about the ship? I like the way they’re going through the same thing in opposing ways re: divorce, I like the “She’s got some fences, all right, you just gotta hop over ‘em” of it all. I of course love the notion of their relationship being born of Rebecca’s evil plot and then being the thing that each of them needed to save them from the life rot their respective (ex) marriages were causing. I think season one makes a pretty perfect case for being the start of a love story, and all without ever being overt about the idea of them being attracted to each other. It was just really interesting and moving storytelling! I’m still not really sure where season two fits in; I didn’t like the implication that either a) they found it easy to stop spending time together even after the way they’d bonded in season one, or b) the time they spent together wasn’t important enough to either of them to merit screentime.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? I truly don’t know if it’s meant to be a slow (slow, slow, slow, slow, SLOW!) burn or not. I know lots of people are confident that it is and I wish that I was -- I was after season one -- but season two really shook my interpretation of what the show is doing w/ this dynamic! (Which is to say: is it doing anything at all?? Are they just coworkers who had a cosmically-linked really bad day in 1991??? What gives????)

just finished love, victor season 2 & boy do i got a lot to say. beware the major spoilers & just fyi, this is comin' at you by a black, bisexual girl. PULL THE LEVER KRONK!
i don't really know who to blame 4 this, & i'm not one to dislike protagonists just because, it's just... is it me or are all other characters more developed + nuanced than victor is? i'd like to see who he is beyond the relationship drama. i mean all we really know abt him is that he loves basketball & we barely even saw anything about that this season (besides the whole homophobic lockerroom extravaganza)
mia brooks is defo giving me Best Girl. there's sth about her that warms my heart, and i think a big part of that is how rachel hilson brings her to life. it really makes u care about her. that being said, i wanna see more! i feel like they could be digging a lot deeper w/ her yet they never really do. hopefully s3 will be the one
ah, the whole benji situation. i'm not gonna lie, i don't really like benji. his relationship w/ victor was almost too perfect & bubbly for me, then it was a hot mess and they kept fighting over every single thing. i kept getting major gaslight vibes from him. i don't really think they belong together, though we should probably cut benji some slack since he has been dealing w/ a lot. i need him to own up about his white privilege tho
speaking of whites, felix weston! my man! he's one of my faves what do you want me to tell ya. seeing him in so much pain broke my heart but i love that they gave him more depth besides being the quirky, socially awkward bestie. he's one of my favourite characters 4 sure
which brings me to his relationship w/ lake. honest: i never really shipped them. they're dynamic was fun in s1 (though it was giving a bit too much stydia imo), though i never fully recovered from lake being embarrassed to publicly date him. they just didn't quite do it for me. and that's probably for the best cause... HELLO? BISEXUAL LAKE? LET'S FUCKING GO?! ngl i always thought if we got bi rep it would be w/ pilar, but i'm not mad abt this at all !!!
pilar !!! my bestie !!! my favourite serial killer vibes, billie-eilish-stanning e-girl. let's be honest she was kinda giving me pick-me vibes all season which didn't really seem like her? i could see the attitude in her style & snarky comments (which i both love), but i felt like sth was missing? maybe, just maybe... a plotline that isn't about simping for your brother's best friend who is in a relationship?
don't even get me wrong, i really like pilix! in that scene in s1, i did get the feeling sth could happen between them someday. i never really imagined they'd go abt it this way tho (i mean did we even see where pilar's feelings came from?), but i get how it's interesting to see felix being crushed on for a change. their chemistry is everything, i do wish the pining would've lasted longer (what can i say, a bitch loves slow-burn)
which is the same i can say for vahim. that's right baby, it's finally time to let y'all know where i stand. and where i stand is HERE. i love rahim to the death (also pilar & him are best duo!), he is hilarious & awesome but my god why is this show obsessed w/ getting characters into relationships when they've just exited one? barely?! absolute same thing w/ felix. it's kind of nasty & just makes rahim and pilar look like the rebounds
SIMON SPIER. WITH A BEARD. the power this mf holds cause 1 minute of his screentime had me crying like no other scene did. then victor saying he doesn't need him anymore?? well I DO ??!! i really hope they'll bring him back 😫
forgot to mention andrew so here it is: i love him, he's an amazing loving himbo jock bf. nothing else to say
all in all, i feel like a lot of situations could've been handled differently, and there's so much i haven't mentioned cause this season was PACKED (feel free to rant below). it's understandable i guess, so i'll end with these wise words by meghann fahy: it's tv BABY, people love drama!
