It's crucial to emphasize that intentions alone are insufficient; actions play a pivotal role. Unfortunately, Marinette in seasons 4 and 5 failed to grasp this lesson. While her noble intentions are commendable, the series illustrates the repercussions of neglecting the importance of one's actions. Despite her professed love for Adrien/Chat Noir, her missteps in her partnership and the finale, particularly her decision to gaslight her love interest about his father being a hero, are significant.

The writers' tendency to downplay her actions and portray her as a white knight savior for Adrien is cute but troubling, considering her lack of control or involvement in his family affairs. The episode "Ephemeral" stands out to me as an irredeemable moment marked by lies. Despite fandom attempts to justify her behavior, the stark reality remains. Marinette, now diverging from her initial likable qualities, falls short when compared to strong female characters from shows like early Winx Club, Totally Spies, and Lolirock. She now mirrors Master Fu's approach closely, but the expectations in the fandom are disappointingly low when it comes to understanding her partner. She's quick to suspect him of hiding something, yet when the tables turn, excuses abound. Despite being a guardian and team leader, there's a tendency among fans to overlook her actions. True feminism and leadership involves inspiring others and supporting those in need, yet she doesn't even try in these aspects.

The recurring theme of Marinette's mistakes, coupled with her lack of evident growth, raises questions about the character's development. The fact that she is 14 intensifies the concern about the lessons being imparted to the show's target demographic. Despite fan theories, the internalized lessons seem questionable, especially for young viewers who are placed in situations like Adrien or Chloe, what do they learn? From what I got from the show... the narrative casting Adrien as the virtuous victim and Chloe as the villainous victim is disgraceful. The notion that personal growth and change are unattainable is a lesson that no one should adopt is messed up. Now looking back critically examining the show, instances where Marinette defends or apologizes for Audrey or Gabriel's abusive actions which are very troubling makes a lot of sense because this show is abuse apologist and because she's our titular character she's the voicebox of the show "messaging" . While some viewers may sympathize and defend her based on their long-term attachment to me the show having the potential negative impact on the younger audience cannot be ignored.

The disappointment of those deeply invested in the series is understandable, but for those with a more detached perspective you might feel fortunate like I do to have a more detached perspective on this front.

Are any of the Winx Club fans on here aware of the Hatchetfield Saga, in particular Nerdy Prudes must die? Because, I'll be honest, if I had to cast Darcy in a live-action adaptation of Winx Club (be it Fate or something new), I would probably pick the actress that played Blinklotep/Blinky in NPMD.

Or at the very least, take costume cues from her costume. Like, the purple, and the eye imagery associated with Blinky... It's almost uncanny.

Big confession time

After seeing @mrultra100 's post regarding his stance to JT, I decided to come clean with something. Be warned though, this is gonna be a long one.

As he pointed out in his post, JT is pretty much dead, given with the history. Even the fandom seems to be dead.

But here's the thing. I'm incredibly stubborn to believe in that. Mostly because, this show holds a very special heart to me. I remember watching it a lot on Nickelodeon as a kid and being mesmerised by everything. Sure, I also remember watching Spongebob and TLA as well and I do remember them fondly, but somehow, Johnny Test, despite its budget cuts and mixed seasons, has enticed me to such a degree, it influenced me to create art and stuff.

Keep in mind, I'm autistic, so my connection to my hyperfixations are incredibly deep. And while I have other stuff, I enjoy, such as Winx Club, The Penguins of Madagascar, Kamen Rider, etc., Johnny Test is the one, I'm really obsessed with. I couldn't stop smiling, everytime I see the characters, love the dynamic and the character himself, Johnny, has resonated with me to have fun. (He is my Nr. 1 favourite character BTW)

In the beginning, I was very secretive online, since at the time, the hatedom was really huge. Not to mention, my artworks back then were....pretty terrible. But as time went on and opinions changed, I evolved and matured, acknowledging its flaws and making plans on making it better myself.

In short, this show made me into what I am today. There is a reason, why I'm known as the queen of Johnny Test.

Besides, I keep bringing up attention to the series by making lots of fanart, stories, headcanons, cosplay and even a spinoff concept, I really want to make it official, when I get into the animation industry. This is when I do the most unconventional method of doing lots of crossover stuff with JT, mostly with Winx, but also with other shows and media as well. I did MLP, Sonic and the list doesn't stop there.

It may sounds odd, but this, along with talking about the series online and making more fanmade content, are the only methods for me to spread about its existence, while also connecting with my friends. Shoutout to @arti-squid , @rominadrawsart16 , Oreostuffing11, @thetickler85 and @akcartoonist2004 for being the most awesome JT moots ever!

As for my plans for "Johnny Test - Power Up!", I have plans of more content. I have yet to draw Dukey and the remaining two new characters, while also planning to do concept art of the other characters, locations, lore, etc. Basically creating a very detailed show concept to pitch to studios and hopefully, getting the rights of the series for a new chance.

And as for the Prismaverse, it'll also develop further as well. Like I have more plans for more headcanons, stories, friendships and artworks for the cast and even plans on expanding it further by adding more series, I'm interested with.

All of this may sound really farfetched, but this show really defined me to keep evolving, experimenting and believing in myself and my dreams. I found new friends along the way, while also fighting some hardships in my life at the same time.

Just because the series and by extention, the community is dead by a majority of people, that doesn't mean, it's fully dead. There is still a spark, waiting to be blossomed to a inferno. In other words, as long as there are dedicated fans like me and my friends, that spark will last to the end of time.

In short, never give up your obsessions and dreams, even when there is doubt. Keep doing, what makes you happy.

Top 10 Best Polish DUBs part 2

6. The Ice Age franchise, similar to the Shrek and Madagascar franchises, seems to be way more popular and liked in Poland than in the USA. While the general sentiment in the US is that the first one is somewhat of an underrated classic and the best and every single one got only worse and worse. Meanwhile, in Poland, its sequels are held in much higher regard. Yet again, it's thanks to the funnier dialogue and much better voice actors. Sid became an iconic character just like Donkey from Shrek or King Julian from Madagascar, most likely thanks to the fantastic work of Cezary Pazura, an actor and voice actor who makes everything he's in so much better. Piotr Fronczewski as Diego is also great with his warm fatherly voice he sounds way more sincere. If Diego had the same voice in the English version he would have even more simps fans. Wojciech Malajkat is great as Manfred. He would later voice Puss in Boots from Shrek. As the franchise went on not only the quality of writing went downhill but also they started casting celebrities instead of the real VAs or even regular actors. Queen Latifah, Drake who was in like 5 minutes of a movie.

7. Winx Club is way better in Polish, in my opinion. I don't know if it's because their VAs aren't actual teenagers who don't have as much experience, or if they're adults trying to sound like teens and failing miserably, or if their voices are just that annoying. Whatever the case might be the Polish actors strike a great balance between sounding mature but youthful at the same time. Like teens that are on their way to becoming adults but still with some childish tendencies. Not a twelve-year-old trying to sound grown-up or a 40-something-year -old trying way too hard to be cool and hip with the kids. And Polish versions of the songs are amazing.

8. Totally Spies makes their heroins sound way more mature just like Winx Club. To not repeat myself let me tell you about something different, the dialogue changes. It's not censorship or completely changing the meaning of the dialogue but the vocabulary. In the show, they are very much Valley girls. In the Polish version, they still use slang that was (and still is) used in Poland at the time but they also were capable of using big words. Maybe English slang is more annoying, at least to me.

9. W.I.T.C.H. BLAH BLAH better and more mature voices BLAH BLAH better and funnier dialogue BLAH BLAH. What is worth mentioning are the voices of the male characters. Caleb's English VA doesn't fit him whatsoever. I know Greg Cipes sounds like that even as an adult but still. If Caleb looked like his comic version he would be fine but not when he looks like he is 18 or older. Imagine my shock after growing up with the Polish deep manly voices only to watch the English version and hear boys who haven't finished going through puberty yet. I've heard that the Polish language is sometimes referred to as snake language because of the ć, ś, ź, ż, sz, cz, and many other sounds, so Cedric's VA has a time to shine. English Phobos sounds more whiny than menacing.

10. Shark Tale is regarded as one of the worst animated movies ever both in terms of animation and the story. Highly exaggerated in my opinion. I mean it's not great but it's not Food Fight, Video Brinquedo, Animated Titanic, and many others. I think why it's not as hated by me and many other Poles it's thanks to its dubbing. I don't know if you know this, but there is a Polish comedy ''Kiler''. The whole plot of the movie is that the main character is mistaken for a killer. So, the Polish dubbing of Shark Tale is basically a parody of this movie. They even got Cezary Pazura (the guy playing Sid) who played the main guy in ''Kiler''. Instead of gay-lisped Jack Black we have Jarosław Boberek aka King Julian. Now that's a team-up better than the Avengers.

It was a surprisingly hard list to make, not because there are no great Polish dubbings but because there are so many good ones. Any movie or show could've been on the list. To make it easier I asked myself ''What Polish dubbings are better than the original?'' and ''What dubbings had the biggest impact on me but also on my country as a whole?''.

The reason why most of the list consists of shows and movies from the early 2000s is because that's when Poland had a little golden age. There were a bunch of great movies and shows coming out, so it was easy to strike gold. (And that's when I was born.) Now with all the trash coming out, it's way harder to do. The translators for ''Wish'' tried their best to fix those broken lyrics.

But nobody's perfect. I'm a firm believer that there is no terrible Polish dubbing but they still can make mistakes, questionable decisions, and voices that will make you switch the channel until they stop talking.

I’m usually not a big fan of stories where it’s "it's just X, but all the characters from Y" because in lot of cases the author ends up bending the characters around a tree to make them follow the narrative of the X story (like, owl house, but all the characters are from Steven universe or something). THAT SAID, using the PREMISE of X story with Y characters can be cool, and I feel like you could do something cool with the ML cast and the premise of Winx Club.

Oh yeah it's!!!

I think a chunk of it depends on if the world is good as a sandbox or not.

Like, for example, ATLA. That world is a hell of a sandbox to play with. You can put casts of characters in there and you can do whatever you want. Sometimes following the actual atla plot works, sometimes you follow the other series' plot but replace their magic system with Bending. Sometimes you take plot elements and create a whole new thing!

I actually do have an ML/ATLA AU that does the last thing, taking some plots from ML and adapting them, but mostly letting them go on adventures in the world.

But yeah Winx, while not having as solid a system as something as atla, does have plenty of room to sandbox. There's so many planets and types of Magic. We don't need to follow Canon's thing with our new lead being a lost princess or a group of Witches as the villains. We can just say the various ML cast are from whatever planets they vibe with and yeet them at Alfea/Cloud Tower/Red Fountain.

Winx Club Headmasters

I finally got around to doing some of the teachers from the three magic schools.

Faragonda

Lets address the elephant in the room here. YES, I racebent Faragonda. Why? Mostly because of how my fan-cast to voice Faragonda in an ultimate dub of the series is Toks Olagundoye, who you will recognize as the voice of Mrs. Beakley from the 2017 reboot of Ducktales and the voice of Mel Medarda from Arcane. I basically just took the rich old lady from The Aristocats, Madame Adelaide and racebent her. Plus, nothing wrong with a black fairy-godmother figure, as Whitney Houston has proven in Cinderella lol. I REALLY love how she turned out. Her hair was a MAJOR pain to do but I love it. I especially love her fairy form. In my version, once a fairy gets to a certain age, they leave behind their Enchantix and get a form called Ethearix. Besides, we ALL want some older fairies. I did take inspiration from Morgana's fairy form (Since Morgana and all the characters introduced in season 4 onward don't exist in my version). What's Faragonda the fairy of? Quintessence! She basically has power over life-force, lightning, and being able to give life to inanimate objects. Pretty much what it is in W.I.T.C.H. I actually got the idea of her being the fairy of quintessence from my pal @tiredcloudd (Whose stuff you should check out because it's amazing and they are really talented) when we were discussing our own Winx canon on the private Union of War Discord server. So I have them to thank for this. Also, her and Griffin are a couple in my version.

Griffin

I had A LOT of fun with editing for Griffin because I feel like darker characters a lot more fun design-wise. YES, I did use Maleficent for her face but I also gave her the eyes of The Evil Queen from Snow White. I made her the witch of oracle magic. She doesn't really see the figure but can summon vectors of magic and do some powerful magic. I thought of that because of The Owl House and how Griffin was able to play mind games with the Winx Club back in season 1. I took inspiration for her witch form from @taiyoooh.

Griselda

Out of all three of the professors I've redesigned so far, Griselda was definitely the biggest pain in the ass to design, at least for her fairy form. I mean, Griselda seems like someone who wouldn't actually be a fairy. She seems more like she'd be a witch or a sorceress. I made her a mind fairy, because that's one of the few interesting things that Fate: The Winx Saga did. However, she can do offensive attacks as well. I also love the idea of that being her way of knowing whenever someone is up to something. She's the queen of detention for a reason. For her fairy form, I got rid of her glasses and replaces them with glowing eyes. Her hair is full of barrette thingies that look like brains because she is a mind fairy. For her outfit, I took inspiration from Nebula from season 4 but made it more conservative looking. I had to make sure the colors were more subdued compared to other fairy forms because it's Griselda and that also meant NO SPARKLES. Hell, the only makeup I gave her was purple lipstick because she's not the type to wear makeup at all. I love the way she turned out. Also, pants suit her better than a dress. Her fairy form was an absolute NIGHTMARE to work on. You have absolutely NO IDEA! Also, just imagine the voice of Mindy Sterling (Who played Ms. Briggs from iCarly and was the voice of Lin Beifong from The Legend of Korra) coming out of this character. PERFECTION!

Saladin

Well, I finally got around to posting my redesign of the last head of the three major magic school, Headmaster Saladin. He is also the grandfather of Helia (Even though the original show NEVER actually does anything with that) and in my version, I would actually do something with that. Considering in my version of season 2, part of Helia's story arc was gaining his Believix by learning to stop holding back his true potential anymore. Helia was sent to Red Fountain instead of a fairy school like Alfea so that his grandfather could help him. This also means that Saladin is also East Asian, which I wanted to show with his attire, which includes his Sorcerer form. While his regular form is in more Earth-tone colors, his sorcerer outfit does have more color too it with the white, gold, and purple.

Winx Club Nostalgia!

The First Dub You Were Introduced To:

The Nickelodeon Dub when it started off as four 45-minute animated specials with the first three being just a shorter/reanimated version of season 1 with the last special being extremely shortened/reanimated for season 2. Season 3 was kept in full, but re-dubbed.

The Dub You Favor The Most:

Personally, I enjoy the 4Kids dub! I know it's flawed and it made a few changes, but there's this certain charm to it that I adore very much as well as the voice acting and the soundtrack. It's very nostalgic and special to me!

Which Character Is Your Favorite?:

I can't choose one! There are so many enjoyable characters! Though, I'd have to pick Bloom, Stella, and Flora. Bloom is a good protagonist who went from trying to find her identity to becoming a proud fairy who protects those she cares for! Stella is a diva princess with attitude, but she is always there for her friends no matter what! Flora is a sweetheart through and through! I love her! She cares for all life including plants...she is the fairy of nature!

One Thing You Think This Show Can't Be Without:

The fashion! If there is one thing these girls know, is how to look good while doing good! I love the art style and their many MANY outfits are so beautiful! There are days when I look at my wardrobe and think "I wish I had one of their outfits!" They have many iconic looks! So eye-catching and astonishing!

Favorite Season?:

I'm stuck between 2 and 3. Season 2 gave us the one and only Layla/Aisha, The Pixies, Musa's first stage performance, Charmix, and The Dark Bloom arc. But, then there's season 3.....SEASON 3!!! That season gave us more world building, multiple arcs, the continuous threat of the fan-favorite villain Valtor, and ENCHANTIX! I love them both equally!

Any Other Thoughts?:

Roxy (the new Winx girl from season 4) deserved more than just one season and should've been more involved in the group!

I like the inclusion of The Pixies but I'm not too keen on watching the PopPixie spinoff show.

The Specialists are enjoyable, but I wish there was more to them besides being love interests for the girls. I would've liked more lore into their work as being potential Heroes without having magic.

I don't know why season 8 decided to give the cast a whole new art style that doesn't capture much of what made Winx Club so unique. Also, the look of The Specialists is DEFINITELY a downgrade in that regard!

I appreciate how even though the animation and art style got changed around, the music remains to be good and fun to listen to.

I wish we had more lore with the students from Cloud Tower and WHY there seemed to be this Witches vs. Fairy tension in the first place!

I am very upset that the Netflix live-action adaptation hardly gave us any iconic outfits OR good-looking fashion from transformations. How do you do Winx Club WITHOUT the fashion?!

I didn't finish the other spinoff, World of Winx but I like to think that it takes place when the girls are much older taking care of who they can save while they star in a television talent show undercover.

Conclusion:

After all these years later, this show still holds a place in my heart and it's something I love looking back at whenever I feel like watching something nostalgic. It's been 20 years since the show aired and the fact that it's STILL relevant makes me so happy! These fairies deserve the world....well, they deserve the whole Magic Dimension!

This has been a wonderfull week for me and many fans in the winx club fandom.

Because Netflix has cancelled Fate:The Winx saga and I am so happy over it. I know there fans out there who want a season 3 from this "exciting" show.

But let's be real here. This show was really a big mess!

There was barley any story, just teenage angst with the characters who was unlikeable, unlike their cartoon counterparts! They were all mean to eachother. Like Fate!Stella being a jealous stalker Karen and Bloom treating Aisha like shit. And to mix it up they forced white washing into this with characters like Musa and Flora being replaced with Terra. And he also forced in some fat shaming against Terra like other joking about her weight!

Oh did I forget! Brian Young and Netflix barley used the Canon characters in the serie! He and Netflix replaced many of them with his and his staff angsty Original Characters! Original Characters with barly any personalities, forcing them to interact with the main cast and even shipping two (Like Aisha and GREY😡) and also ruinning potentials for canon characters being introduce into the show!

Like Tecna, Brandon, Timmy, Helia and so many more!

And I know there are Farah x Silvia fans who want their ship to become real. But that will never happen because Farah has been dead for over a year now! So you all must accept that Farah x Silvia will never happen! You all have to accept it just like I have to accept Shiro x Keith will not be canon!

And to all Fate! Riven x Musa fans!

Where do you guys see the chemistry in this relationship?! Because I don't!

And isn't Riven a Bisexuall predator in this show?! Isn't this even worse to ship Musa with someone like him?!

So I am happy that Netflix again cancelled Fate: The winx saga! Because it was horrible, boring and shitty mess! And now we can hope for a proper reboot then this!

And to thoose who is trying to save the show for a season 3 with a petition! Netflix is not going to renew the show for a season 3 !Because they don't want a show that makes them lose subscribers and money. So they don't want to waste money anymore on that show! They want shows that gives them monies!

Because I know! I wrote my name for a rewrite of season 8 of Voltron. But that never happened!

I started my rewatch of Class of the Titans and it’s so wild to see things I remember so vividly but also not at all. I definitely forgot how witty the dialogue is though. I always have my expectations low for older shows like this (when I rewatched Winx club a few years back I definitely found myself cringing at times) but I think this aged quite well and even made me chuckle a few times.

One thing I also forgot was the fact that Neil is the descendant of Narcissus lol. For some reason in my mind, I remembered him being related to Aphrodite but I guess it’s because she’s his mentor. That being said, I forgot how lovable the whole cast is. Their friendship and dynamics with each other, even just from the first three episodes, is really great!

Can I ask what are some of your favourite platonic relationships in the show?

Oh my gosh! That makes me really excited to hear! I can definitely see why you set your expectations low for some of the older shows, the ones at least I grew up in because they can be so corny in their dialogue. I mean, I am the hugest Ronin Warriors fan and am currently rewatching that, among some other shows, for probably the thousandth time, but some of the dialogue is so corny that it's hilarious because of bad dubbing but I still love it, maybe even because of that. That being said, I always felt the writing for Class of the Titans was definitely solid. They might have lacked, a little, in my humble opinion, in some of the world-building and story-building, mostly in the second season, but overall, I feel the show is just solid and stands the test of time.

I can so see why, if you haven't watched it in a really long time, you'd forget that Neil was descending from Narcissus because, other than the ego (which Aphrodite also had), nothing was really made of Neil and Narcissus' familial bond. Though I will say, I love Aphrodite and Neil's mentor-student bond and think they are just so adorable and chill. There's no real care about this great big battle against Cronus really with them, they just want to talk and gossip and do skincare and feel more like friends than anything. And yes to the dynamic between the whole group of them. They all have their roles to play, it doesn't feel, at least in the first season, that anyone is more important than anyone else or given more attention than anyone else, and it's just lovely.

I admit to having a real soft spot for the friendship between Odie and Herry. They're just polar opposites, when you sit down and think about it, in terms of interests and temperaments but they just fall into an easy friendship and balance each other out nicely. Plus, they really do have in common, hinted at here and there in episodes, that neither of them really had friends before the group came together, and you can tell how much each of them values their friendship, not just with the other boy, but also with people overall.

Also, while it did become a romantic relationship, I loved the even just platonic bond that Archie and Atlanta had right away. Even when it was clear that Archie started to have a crush on her, there was never any hints that he saw their friendship as a second-place prize or anything…they truly and honestly cared about each other and took a lot of time to really build a good, solid friendship with each other before either even considered seriously taking it further and it's clear their actual friendship matters the most to both of them.

Also, I love Neil, I really do. All the different ways he interacts with each of the others, how he kind of binds them together in a way…I adore his bonds with everyone and if you want an honest headcanon, I think he's in the group with Herry and Odie, who never really had a true friend before meeting the others and I think they all mean a whole awful lot to him.

Why do people hate Movie Princess Peach?! 😡😱

Why do y’all hate the movie Princess Peach?! What’s wrong with you?! Her portrayal in the movie is extremely perfect and represents the theme of female empowerment so why y’all hate the movie iteration?! 😡

When I saw Princess Peach as a kid I start crushing over her and thought she was cute. 🥰

And I played and watched every Mario game to try and save her as the “Damsel in Distress” from the King of the Koopas Bowser!

Being a “Damsel in Distress” is so boring, wrong, and sad for a girl so why can’t they do what they dreamed, go out do something, and go out on their own adventures?

I saw every girl in every media be a “Damsel in Distress”, always crying and thought it was a little bit sad and annoying but when I saw a girl kick some butt like in My Little Pony, Sailor Moon, and Winx Club it made me really happy and thrilled!

When the Mario Movie was announced in 2021 and Chris Pratt was casted as Mario and the fans started hating on it especially my dad because Mario was always Italian and thought it was racist except for me because I was really excited and funny because we’re getting another Mario movie that’s better than the 1993 one and started defending Chris Pratt.

When I saw the new Mario trailer back in 2022 we saw Peach gets some action for the first time since Super Princess Peach and thought it was cute and amazing because in my Scrat The Squirrel universe I turned Cream The Rabbit from a Kid “Damsel In Distress” into a Action child!

In April 5th I saw the Mario movie and gave it a 10/10 even though some critics don’t like it because it fixes some of the issues of the Mario characters and the entire and made me stop watching The Super Mario Bros. Super Show and SuperMarioLogan because they’ve got all of the characters misunderstood and wrong!

So why are y’all being misogynistic to Peach?! Just like with Amy Rose, Cream The Rabbit, Sakura, and Hinata Hyuga! WHY?! She was just trying to get a chance to save herself from the psycho lunatic turtle freak that’s trying to marry her and being a role model to all princesses who deserve some respect and empowerment so STOP BEING SO MEAN AND MISOGYNISTIC TO PRINCESS PEACH AND GIVE HER A CHANCE TO SHINE! 😡
