a lot of people were upset at character parallels being pointed out especially between Rhaena and Sansa since fandom has made Sansa à controversial character. They were mad and saying Sansa bullied Arya so Baela and Rhaena can’t be like them

I don’t know why people would get mad at that, that’s just how the characters were written. And that’s how they were portrayed on screen, even if fans choose to ignore that. It’s not verbatim they are copy and paste the same character with the exact same interactions with people. Sansa and Rhaena are still two different characters, they just happen to be written with parallels like Baela and Arya, and a multitude of other F&B characters. A good example of this is the Vale arc. Rhaena was not mistreated in the Vale and show!Rhaena I think will also have a great relationship with Jeyne Arryn, and that’s different than Lysa’s crazy behavior towards Sansa. So it’s two different relationships and experiences, but the parallel of them being in the Vale and separated from their family is still there. Also with the Hound and Corwyn Corbray. The Hound is TOTALLY different but it’s still a middle aged knight twice the age of the girls and they have some form of bonding.

Corwyn actually didn’t even need to exist, I think he was really just created for that parallel 😂 My favorite parallel is with Rhaena’s dragon and Lady. The fact that they died at a young age and then Rhaena and Sansa go on without their house sigil’s animal while the rest of their siblings still have them. Ned is also one of the better fathers in asoiaf universe but obviously we know Daemon is not. Rhaena also loses her mother alot sooner than Sansa loses hers, and Laena doesn’t come back like Lady Stoneheart but her dragon is still flying around 😭 Show sansa kinda touches on Jon being a bastard but Rhaena is in a situation where she can’t question the hair color or parentage of Jace or “tongues removed”

roach stood there in the doorstep, the usb stick almost falling out of his hand because of how much his fingers were starting to shake. his brain refused to take in the fact that he had caught his lieutenant and a fellow sergeant basically doing the deed when they were supposed to be working. his head went dizzy and he looked down in shame, cheeks lighting up with a bright shade of pink — though nobody could see that because he pulled his mask up.

simon looked at you in the eyes, shaking his head in disappointment. you two stayed like that for a few seconds, his pants pulled down to the middle of his thighs and you just pressed against the wall. you could feel him grip your hips a little tighter, his touch becoming a little shaky as he eventually set you down to the floor, your back sliding along the rough wooden wall.

you didn’t know what to think of the situation. why was simon shaking his head like you were the only one guilty in performing this little stunt? why was the look in his eyes so full of disappointment and not guilt or embarrassment? it was like this whole thing didn’t even faze him at all — it had the same effect as a knife being stabbed right into your heart, and just for some more dramatic outcome, even twisted two or three times.

the shaking sergeant’s boots made a small little sound as he turned around and quickly walked down the stairs in silence. great. ghost quickly pulled up his pants, buckling his belt as fast as he could and zipping his gray wool pullover as quick as possible. he seemed mad and angry but you couldn’t really get why it was all directed towards you. yeah, sure, you’re neck deep in this pile of shit as well but it takes two people to kiss! and it takes two to have sex! and it takes three to get caught!

“we’re fucked..” you muttered under your breath, not exactly knowing what to do right now. you wanted to ease the tension somehow but the air was thick and warm and it was suffocating because of the weight it put on your shoulders.

“only you are.” he said lowly.

“it was not a pun.” he hissed. then why would you be the only one who’s in the mud right now? you looked at him with a confused expression on your face, the traces of your previously apparent dark red blush slowly fading away as your body temperature was finally cooling. it was a quick switch.. “you’re gonna be the one stuck with the title lieutenant-fucker.”

“oh come on. sanderson’s probably not going to talk for like a week now anyways. and it’s not like he’s going to tell on you, he’s practically your little brother, no-“

silence struck the rotten room once simon’s radio went off, a few slurred words and some incredibly deafening static echoing from the walkie talkie. it sounded like roach was on the other end of the line (who else would it be?) and just like you predicted, he was struggling to form his sentences, brain fuzzy as he was desperately asking for help through half-words. you managed to catch a word about general shepherd, your brain immediately ‘sobering’ up — the mission was still very much going. it did not end. you were the only one that was stuck on this point of getting caught in the middle of some quickie.

and without saying a word, ghost was already running down the stairs with his rifle in his hand, leaving you behind like you weren’t just as important (according to ranks..) as sanderson was.

it seems like that day became thin air to your lieutenant.

Reasons why I think Buck might have OCPD (Obsessive Compulsive Personality Disorder) as someone with OCPD and ADHD

He seems very preoccupied with his work, lists, systems, and order. Especially when he’s in “clipboard Buck” mode

OCPD usually starts in your teens to early 20s, and can be caused by trauma and feeling like you need to be “perfect”

Perfectionism and extreme focus on working (the way he was incredibly determined to get back to work during the Lawsuit Era)

Inability to let things go even when they lose their worth

Inability to share or delegate work to others for fear it won’t be done right (while Buck very often chooses to be the one to take risks on the job because he doesn’t want others to get hurt, this could be a part of a moral/methodical obsession. To him, Buck wouldn’t be doing his job correctly if he let one of his coworkers get injured when he could be the one injured instead)

Being obsessive, judgemental, and inflexible in matters of morals and judgement (this literally reminds me of S1 ep1 when Buck didn’t want that teen mom to ride in the ambulance)

Difficulty forming and maintaining close relationships with others (again S1 Buck and lawsuit era)

Excessive doubt and conscientiousness

Rigidity and stubbornness

Compelled to do things a certain way

Low threshold for humiliation, criticism, and emotional hurt

Bye why did I find a med journal that says “loved ones on the receiving end of the relationship will experience exhaustion, unhappiness, and frustration” like Lawsuit era who???? (ok but this journal is lowkey so critical of people with OCPD wtf 😭)

Obviously not all of these things are stuff that Buck does throughout the entire show but I think S1 and a bit of early S2 era Buck was more obsessed and preoccupied with his own morals and as he matured he bent his behavior more towards following the rules at the 118 and he became obsessed with his work and doing his job as best as he can. I think part of this duality stems from the fact that in his teens he would’ve felt pressured to adhere to the standards his parents set, with the only times he really went against them being when he would injure himself for their attention because in his mind the right method to get someone’s attention is through injury (which we see come up multiple times throughout the show). However, as he entered his early 20s he got stuck into a routine of traveling from place to place and learning new skills, which probably would’ve impacted his ability to be preoccupied over his works rules/systems and would’ve probably caused him to obsess more over morals, as we see when he quits the marines because they don’t align with his approach to morals and emotion.

**Also I know some people might be confused when I say early S1 Buck had an obsession with morals considering he slept around, stole the fire truck, etc. but I want to point out that with OCPD your own rules surrounding morals and judgment might not be completely logical, and more “Black and white” so Buck might not have seen casual sex as morally wrong (which it’s not, but I digress) and he probably didn’t see an issue with stealing the fire truck at the moment. People with OCPD can still mature and have changing moral values over time and that’s part of Buck’s development. He probably took Bobby firing him as a very harsh judgment on his own behavior and we see that even in S2 he was obsessing over that when Eddie was hired.

Sorry this is kind of a messy post where I just word vomited all over the place I hope this makes sense even though I probably ended up contradicting myself at some point.

In the most non-hateful way possible, I genuinely don’t see what’s likable about Clara. Like, why the Doctor would like her or let alone subject himself in the confessional dial for her is lost to me. She’s not very nice (and not in a fun way like Twelve and Missy), she’s dishonest and manipulative (see:Danny), and didn’t even have any real personality until series 8 (though I’ll admit, that might just be my overall dislike of 7b talking). I’m asking earnestly, be it the Doctor or the fandom, what do people like about her?

I feel like calling her manipulative is a bit strong. I’d need to rewatch to get my full thoughts on it but I think what her and Danny had going on in S8 was on both of them and neither of them were being horrific ppl, it was just a difficult situation. I do mildly agree that they don’t really find a proper character for her until S8, in 7b she’s mostly just there or be impossible (and I think that’s a common opinion) but I do still like her in that season bc I think her and 11 are really cute and I defo like 7b more than most ppl do lmao.

something that really pisses me off is this headcanon that ice would have been or was against mav pulling bradley’s papers for the academy.

like i’m sorry but I need some of you to think for a second. this is a man whose jet wash indirectly also led to the accident that resulted in goose’s death and probably carried that guilt for half his life too. this is also the man who was there to watch mav and carole grieve for the brother/husband they lost for YEARS. not to mention he was close to goose as well since they were both at the academy. like he would have wanted to protect bradley just as much as mav did when he made the decision to pull the papers. it’s a dumb moment for both of them but again. 100% they would have both thought they were doing the right thing for bradley.

It ever just hit you how Katsuki spent most of his life cursing his rotten bond with Izuku that he couldn’t get rid of, until he was hit by the realisation he actually loves and needs Izuku so much that he would feel like he died himself if Izuku ever were to leave him

and then during a time when Izuku left him, Katsuki really did freaking die…?

The symbolism?? Like talk about a bond with love so strong, that person literally holds your life in their hands and you would willingly give it up for them a countless times over, without question.

Even though Katsuki was forced to endure so much suffering all on his own because of what he means to Izuku, he could choose only him in his final moments.

When one stares into death, often they will expose the true shape of their heart. For Katsuki that’s Izuku. It’s always been Izuku. In his search for comfort, he could see and feel no one else. Thinking of him, talking to him, longing to be by his side again… wanting for nothing other than to be the hero Izuku believes in and loves… right ‘til the very end.

Katsuki knew Izuku’s love was why he had been horrifically beaten down first and that he was going to die, but he held it so closely and dear to him, as if it were the most precious treasure.

Like it was the only thing that mattered.

A few more things I’ve learned about Trolls: Band Together from interviews:

- Velvet and Veneer are “evil 90s pop divas” and they’re siblings, not a couple

- the Trolls team had wanted to do a “long lost family” story since the first movie, but hadn’t planned on having it with Branch and several brothers (which, imo, is obvious because it doesn’t really make much sense, but w/e)

- to free their brother Floyd, who was kidnapped by Velvet & Veneer, Branch and his brothers have to “sing in perfect family harmony”

- a lot of the music is going to be covers from older boy bands, particularly from the 90s

- some of the new animation styles that will be featured include “psychedelic” 2D, textural and shadow puppetry. The 2D sequence shown in the first trailer was made by the same team (Titmouse Inc.) that made an iconic episode of Love, Death and Robots
