You grab his hair, pulling at it and tugging it like it's the only thing tethering you to this plane of existence. With him, it's always transcendental. You've never been able to quite say why.
Watching him charm the skirt off a girl he picks up at one of his races physically hurts. You've never felt such a deep jealousy before. You think that's why you keep crawling back to him, despite him never really needing you.
He makes you feel special, like no other girl (or boy, as you've come to learn) matters. When you're with him, he's worshipping your body, he's worshipping you. You know you said you wanted it to be casual, but you just can't. You can't.
He can though. You're probably just another notch on his bedpost, insignificant among all the fish he's caught in his net. You want to hate him for it. You want to forget him and move on. But it's impossible.
No one makes you feel like he does. You think you're addicted to the way he makes you feel, not him, but was there even a difference?
You thought you'd be special. He'd appreciate you when you came to him.
And he did. Always. But he never called. He never looked back. He'd cook you breakfast, drop you back to your house even if it was fifty miles away, kiss you goodbye, but never anything more unless you reached out first.
Why did he have this hold on you? You'd never know. It confused you - didn't you respect yourself even that much? If you had to give advice to yourself, you'd say you were being used. You deserved better. Someone who actually stayed. Not just the next morning either.
You could tell he was getting bored of you too. And you couldn't have that now, could you?
You had a feeling this would be your last time.
The last time he left marks on your neck. The last time you had to groan at a pair of panties he ripped. The last time he'd look into your eyes and kiss your forehead gently, pulling the covers over the two of you as you slept in his arms.
You thought attachments would never be something you'd have a problem with. You were wrong.
But there is no way to be right when you're in love is there?
He leaves early the next day, but he leaves you an omelette. You hate him for it. You grab a simple white button up shirt before your taxi takes you home. It smells like him.

Language divides and building bridges.
Elesa’s feeling homesick. Emmet, bless his heart, tries to help by infodumping while Ingo frantically runs off to find water (crying is a very dehydrating experience).
((Would you look at that! The kids are picking up kantonese and galarian from each other!))

Prompt 84
Amity Park absolutely adores her little ghostling, her little Gatekeeper who was of her own ectoplasm, reborn from her own blood in the center of her new heart. She absolutely adores her baby, practically a newborn, being only a year dead!
So of course she had to gush and boast about her little phantom to the other city spirits! They all got together to gossip sometimes after all. And both Smallville and Fawcett started to gush about their own little ones back!
Gosh they should set up a playdate at some point, her little phantom could use some friends in the mortal realm. Well some more friends, three is obviously not enough. Oh, Gotham and Bludhaven have come over as well! It’s a playdate then!
Now if only each of their world’s timelines were synced up, but at least everyone is around the same age!

Headcanon that the boys were first introduced to Lou Jitsu through Splinter scrounging up an old movie to watch through a grainy projector. Splinter wanted to hype himself up at the time, to see a version of himself - however fictional - succeeding and being happy.
He watches, and smiles, mouthing along to the dialogue and outright whisper-shouting “HOT SOUUUP!” whenever it comes up.
Nestled in his lap are his four new sons, still learning the world around them and heavily reliant on their new father. They watch with wide eyes how lively their guardian looks, how happy he sounds, and they turn to watch the movie closely. Because, for as young as they were, they could recognize the source of their father’s joy.
So naturally, they come to associate Lou Jitsu with their father’s smile, and in turn, they feel happy themselves. To them, Lou Jitsu will always be a source of joy, and always make them smile, even if they forget why as they grow.
They’re not just movies for the four of them - they’re the distant memories of a warm lap and a smiling face.

INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE (2022- ) In Throes of Increasing Wonder (1.01) || The Thing Lay Still (1.07)
I have seen death over and over and over and over again. It's boring.
There's not an inch of this city that wasn't built from the fierce wilderness that surrounds it. Hurricanes, floods, fevers. The damp climate on every painted sign, every stone facade. High windows, through which enameled bits of civilization glitter. Silhouettes emerging, wandering out to catch a silent flash of lightning. The silky warmth of summer rain. Desperately alive... and desperately fragile.

do you ever just. think about how in cr1 after Percy went all No Mercy and killed for the second time Vex cornered and slammed him against a wall to confront him and they were implied to be close enough that Sam kept whispering for them to kiss? and they just. left it out of tlovm. rip to the animated show but the og stream had hot girl intimidation tactics and “Look me in the eye, Percy” and “I’m fine. You’ll know if I’m not” “I will”. fucking unmatched.

something i feel responders to pjo criticisms are not getting is book accuracy is important.
rick riordan created this project to be a book accurate adaptation on the screen. it doesn’t matter if annabeth is white and blonde, those people who are mad about that are wrong and their “criticisms” should be just thrown out. no, i’m talking real criticism. because being upset a series whose reason for existing is to be a faithful adaptation isn’t? not stupid. if you can enjoy the series—in my opinion not all the changes are objectively bad, but many, from a storytelling angle? from pure craftsmanship? are objectively bad—regardless, i’m happy for you. truly, if you feel the joy and magic the original series gave me while watching this show, i am overjoyed someone feels the magic. that’s more magical to me, worth more, than the show itself. but if you then insult me for not enjoying the show? tell me i must not love the story as much as you? tell me i am simply looking to hate the newest next thing, and not that i adore this series so much it pains me to see it so? that i don’t wish to see it succeed regardless of the betrayal i feel?
silly me, i thought our shared love of something meant we could all express it, even in different ways. but i guess not. i guess many of the series’ fans are just keen to discuss the show with the same bad faith it was made in.
