This past week settling into #life in new #hometown of @cityofportsaintlucie @cityofpsl @traditionflorida has been tiring. At nights we crash hard ... bone pain has been rough very painful. But my post covid 3mos was day we arrived May 5th. Have been reading on those like me and my #sister aka #twins who were in hospital and did Remdisivir infusion and now consider #covidlonghaulers can lose some hair. I beat #cancer and did chemo w first cancer but this time it’s mentally harder which surprised me. I just pray my #hair will stop shedding but only time will tell. Hopefully being here I can finally #heal. Learned from #doctors humidity is good for those w lung issue like me- repeated pneumonia I need what they call “wet lungs” will see 🧐. Waiting for movers to arrive with stuff from California It’s so damn expensive😢 still need to buy #furniture for great room and dining table since didn’t bring that with us. Thank god my #creditcards still went thru. Have to next week work on #medicalbills 🤯 that keeping coming. Hard bc no #work so no #income Maxed out EDD in 2016. On SS #disability it gives me little. No govt assistance don’t bc as stated in past I’m single and have no dependents BUT YET i am my rely on myself. Wish can file like those living off govt but don’t qualify so live off my @americanexpress and @chase cards. Hardest part was having to say goodbye to twin @sprwmn78 today who came and helped us settle into home. There is a connection when your a twin that others will never understand or get we have #twinempathy. Erika Sadly had to go back to CA. Didn’t want to cry but #mom and I did at the airport. Hope to see her in 2mos when she visits. Restricting my flying- lungs from covid and weak immune system.... The “C” word #cancer is not something one ever wants to hear BUT to have 2x with 3yrs before my 40th was #painful TODAY 9-6-18 is when I got the call that my routine scan found a spot and not good went to hospital- the drive was #emotional w my mom BUT harder was to call my #parents that cancer was back. No parent wants to see the child suffer no matter how old we are. My twin and Inhabe had a lot of #twinempathy during my cancer where she has felt my pain 😥. Had to wait 2wks to get official results since it was so deep in my chest. This time it wasn’t #breastcancer but a rare #sarcoma in my pectoral muscle barely missing my ribs and lungs. During the wait my #medicalteam saw that I was #brave and prepared for the 2 scenarios - (a) major surgery or (b) write my will and enjoy #life I was #lucky it was “a” 18 days after my #40thbirthday in @kauai I went into #hospital for surgery was there for 14 days w another midnight surgery week later due to complications w my fat transfer to recreate my chest. It’s been a LONG 2years. Moved #home have had 6 surgeries overall due to my Sarcoma 😥 Dealing w the cancers have taken a toll on #body emotionally and physically. Not the same person I was and will never be but I’m alive here to say it’s not the end #livelife I struggle most days w energy and pain/stress that my body has been thru and the #money toll it has cost me - no work since 2015 & not by choice. BUT I am #thankful to my awesome caregivers #mom and #twin @sprwmn78 my #medicalteam @hoaghealth #heartofhoag - Dr Dickinson, VanderMolen, Snyder and the nurses who have cared for me from 2015 Ms Booth and Topp and #cancercare team at Hoag Cancer Center. It’s been a long 5 days #hotflashes #nosleep #emotional #Stopped getting #lupron shits after 2.5yrs as I get ready to say goodbye to #uterus #ovaries etc as I get full a #hysterectomy tomorrow at Hoag. Only 39 but #breastcancer #hormone driven did whole trifecta #chemo surgery & radiation this decision not easy. Like having #cancer could suck anymore. After much debate etc I cannot keep doing #lupron shot for another 3yrs & monthly doctor visits. Been keeping my emotions checked but when stress arise I’m too worked up & migraines from the hormone shots. SO after speaking to my doctors & family will be having a full #hysterectomy at 39 via #davincirobot March 6. Just another reminder of what #cancer has taken from me. I’m tired of people saying “your alive” “you beat it” blah blah about #life #breastcancer & kids BUT that is easier said then living w the some physical pain & emotional of everything that has happened. Some have asked why never had kids well.. I wanted a career first then family. Never had that one person in my life to have kids with #soulmate after #chemo #surgery #radiation I want to move on but always taking a step back bc not 100%. Still have to have another #breastreconstruction next year. Moving forward thanks to my mom & #twins for holding my hand thru this shit. Not easy for parent to see their child go thru this & lose their dream of kids. I babysat till in 30s bc I adorable the kids I watched & good practice.
