who came out first -- matty came out to brady first but brady came out to their parents + young sister first. matty came out to their extended family first but brady came out to all their shared friends first. it absolutely was the most headass competition after that initial fear when brady came out to matty, a couple months after matty came out to her.

not to eldest-daughter code matty but sometimes u set an example for your younger siblings and the things that brady had been wrestling with that felt too big and too much suddenly felt accessible and manageable. once she reconciled that with herself, she came out to matty, and the two of them engaged in the world's stupidest game of one-up-womanship. this caused so many problems in their personal life and they loved every minute of the chaos.

did quinn and brady get married immediately -- SORT OF. they get married when quinn graduates college. childhood sweethearts, broke up in college when quinn went to umich and brady went to a state school. and yk how it goes with teenagers going to college they're like, this CANNOT work bc now we are ADULTS in COLLEGE, we need to SEE OTHER PEOPLE because young love ISN'T REAL, and then brady makes it through one year of college and goes this SUCKS!!! academically and emotionally, drops out after one year. spends a year bouncing around trying to make her life work without quinn and having an low-stakes but meaningless fling with timmy from her beer league team. and her life DOES NOT MAKE SENSE without quinn. so in quinn's junior year she comes back to quinn and is like hello. you are the love of my life. i want to be with you forever. and quinn has been in a strange little polycule with various swedes and americans and he's like ...yeah. no. i miss you too. this is great but it's not right.

and then they're together for the rest of their lives, hanging out and doing whatever. getting married literally like two months after quinn graduates. they spent about five minutes trying to plan a wedding and get bored and annoyed and then handed it off to brady's mom, who has a blast bc she has realized that matty is at least twenty to thirty years off of being functional enough to get married and brady is going to be way less fussy.

important wedding notes because i am an incurable romantic when it comes to parties:

takes place at some random lake in michigan, no one really cares about the ceremony except parents and grandparents, the reception is in a big banquet hall but the afterparty is in a barn, matty and timmy hook up in a random shed, it's magical, everyone has a GREAT time, including matty, up until she hooks up with timmy

elias and brock and thatcher are there, deeply involved in day of wedding prep and making sure everything goes according to plan and they're so helpful and so competent, and no cishet family member realizes they're quinn's ex-polycule for a solid six hours, like until WELL into reception, at which point it's too late for anyone to say anything

the tkachuk sisters are brady's bridesmaids, the hughes bros are quinn's best men. obvi. the hughes bros are the ones crying during brady's deeply stupid vows though

quinn wears a suit and he looks so handsome. brady wears a dress but the hemline is literally mid-thigh and it has no sleeves. she is a bombshell ofc

brady and quinn's first dance is to "suga suga" by baby bash. the closing song in the afterparty (post-reception) is "moment's silence (common tongue)" by hozier which brady picked and quinn didn't look at the lyrics beforehand. and is thankfully too drunk to notice, but luke and taryn do and they're both so stressed out by their older siblings having oral sex that they leave immediately with matty beniers, and josh norris to go sober up in a denny's at like 2am lol.

sorry i know you are anti-marriage, but i love to think about queer weddings bc the only lesbian wedding i've been to was so clean and heterosexual that it makes me actively sad to think about lmao. brady and quinn's wedding is like...bro queer

does matty ever get her shit together -- like. a dozen years in the future after her final trainwreck relationship with leon. it takes a lot of therapy bc while she came out first to brady, she never really felt safe or comfortable as herself around anyone BUT brady. and obvi brady cannot be there every moment of her life. and part of the reason every relationship she's in ends up being kind of a wreck because she hates herself so much but covers it up with so much bravado and big energy and zero honesty or emotional intimacy. like u cannot be inauthentic in a relationship and expect it to work out yk?? but then she meets sasha (i changed my mind, they use any pronouns) who is like ok. i am willing to try this. i am very attracted to you and i could fall in love with you easily. but you NEED to figure your shit out if you want this to work in the long term.

and no one has ever made that kind commitment to matty, so she tries her hardest to reconcile the parts of herself that are ugly and cruel to herself, and turn it into love. and it takes like. over a decade. because she's also a corporate lawyer. but she finally gets there in the end 😭

sasha is quite happy to live in sin for several years lol he grows heirloom vegetables and works on a farm doing most of their farmstand and farmer's market stuff bc they are gentle and kind, but she's also like yeah now that i'm dating someone in corporate law, i do not have to worry that much. so he waits for matty to get right with herself, and she raises some heirloom chickens that matty does his therapy homework with. a fun (???) digression

So someone once said that Lloyd tends to go overboard when he’s trying to play into a role…

Examples being when he’s training Arin and Sora and another being in Hands of Time where he had actually thought he needed to be an actual leader and went overboard…

But y’know another instance where he did this?

Season 1 when Lloyd was still the ‘bratty’ child of Lord Garmadon.

Makes you wonder, what if Lloyd’s need for perfection actually started at Darkleys? Because everyone had high expectations of him because he was the Son of Garmadon, Lloyd had to TRY to be perfect…but just like both instances with Hands of Time and Dragons Rising, he either went overboard or completely misunderstood how the role actually worked.

I'm glad that you think so! We actually filled out all of the dialogue prompts regarding submas having children so, yes, you can become parents with them. Whether or not they're good at it.... well.....

We tried to keep things as realistic as possible between them while following the same kind of prompts found within the parenting dialogue for the vanilla characters (which... includes more awkward things like how they would hint at wanting a second child... ;;>.>)

For Ingo, we thought would have a better time being a parent than his brother, since he's the customer service representative between them and would be more experienced in taking care of others/children. Emmet..... would try his best! He would struggle more with things.... he's not the the best with people in general, let alone children. Emmet is more used to taking care of Pokémon and has a lower tolerance for usual child things like making messes or not following whatever rules he sets (they're babies... they can't read or understand him...) and he gets frustrated about that. That's not to say that Ingo doesn't have his share of struggles, either! They love their children, but they both get terribly worried and stressed about them.

The both of them do enjoy being uncles to each other's children, though! They always talk about each other and make sure to visit often (.... pretend children ever actually leave the house in Stardew lol).

IT HAS BEEN A WHILE since i have made a proper ramble on here BUT.

bttf the game.

i've been replaying it recently and i forgot how insane it was. the story is SO DAMN GOOD and now i'm going to explain why i think that the citizen brown timeline was, in my opinion, an even worse timeline for marty to experience than 1985a.

(game spoilers ahead!)

so we all know that what caused the citizen brown timeline (we'll call it 1986b) to exist: emmett marries edna strickland and she gets him obsessed with law and order and using his science to control people's psyche. this results in edna and emmett being the totalitarian rulers of hill valley when marty comes back to the 1980s.

doc's face is everywhere, telling people to sign up for citizen plus. he's an idol for everyone. and i'm sure that emmett, after all of his failures, is pretty proud of that. he probably thinks that life in law is the only thing that made him successful and science was a bad idea anyway lol. anyway this is not the point.

marty enters and discovers this new hill valley. it's all clean and neat and at first glance doesn't seem as bad. there's no crime like in 1985a, in fact, there's no danger at ALL. nobody's going to shoot you or roll you over with a motorcycle.

marty, though, knows everyone in this timeline but also. doesn't. his parents both are alive. jennifer is alive (though changed significantly), and doc is alive too. and marty needs to find him.

but doc does not know marty.

imagine being a teenage kid who has had this man as your only support system for your entire youth only for him to become a complete stranger when you need him the most? this is fucked up, and we see it in marty's reactions when he eventually goes to citizen brown's office and tries to convince him he's a time traveler. marty talks to him like he'd usually talk to doc, only in this case, it's the wrong way. he gets yelled at when he tries to address an issue in hill valley.

do you think marty ever got yelled at by doc. no.

marty is, in fact, partly scared of this doc: his voice grows quiet when doc silences him in that cellar where we eventually find edna with all her monitors, and he's careful when he talks to him. of course, he wants his timeline to be restored, but he needs any version of doc to do so and he's got to work with what he gets.

i think the worst and most messed up part of 1986b is that, in comparison to 1985a, you would not expect it to exist. would you expect biff to try and get himself rich as soon as possible? yes, sure. biff is a butthead and everyone knows that.

would you expect doc, the smart, kind, father-figure in the films to become such a drastically changed person to the point that not even marty can trust him anymore and who essentially becomes an antagonist? i don't think so.

marty was completely taken aback by this entire thing and has to navigate through this strange timeline by himself. he has ZERO allies in this one. everyone either is confused by him, doesn't know him or even dislikes him.

if i were him i'd honestly cry lmao

another huge thing about 1985a and 1986b are the ways they get erased.

all it took for 1985a was to get a book back from biff. that's it, that's all this timeline hinges on. marty gets it and burns it, and done.

but 1986b? damn. that's a thousand times more complex. you've gotta convince young emmett to dump someone who he genuinely is in love with and who keeps him motivated. bonus, you even caused this relationship to happen in first place.

i'm pretty sure it was easier for marty to just steal a book than to go and break his best friend's heart to get said best friend back.

marty knows what he wants, but citizen brown almost talks him out of it. we get another glimpse at marty's selfless personality; he wants his timeline back, but what about the doc who's standing in front of him? is this worth the risk of losing the doc he has only to try and get back the version he knows?

marty is hurt when emmett literally tells him he hates him and when he's faced with the fact that he, in fact, has ruined doc's youth instead of making it better. what is this boy supposed to feel. yes, he will get the doc back he knows, but at what cost? he will forever have to live with the fact that, at some point in his life, doc loathed him.

him, the boy who eventually become his best and most loyal friend, hell, even family.

this HURTS. marty collects trauma like pokemon cards

AND LISTEN. the final episode. when citizen brown gets hit by that car to get marty out of the way. we all thought he was AGAINST marty's intentions but then he fucking saves his life with absolutely no hesitation?? then he lies there and dies while marty holds his hand and grieves him????

telltale whY MUST YOU HURT ME LIKE THIS

marty mourns this strange doc because it was still doc in a way and all marty wanted the entire goddamn time was to save doc and get back HOME and instead he gets more PAIn

marty even ends up confusing emmett for doc when he steps out of the expo hall because marty just. he just wants to have his bff back for fuck's sake and emmett is also alredy his bff and he only wants the best for him even though emmett thought differently.

i can't even begin to express how happy i am about the fact that marty and the ACTUAL, REAL doc get to hug at the end. if only it had lasted longer than 2 seconds.

THIS WAS A MASSIVE RANT but i have been rotating these thoughts in my brain for the past week or so. enjoy.

bttf the game is a fantastic addition to the franchise, it makes me FEEL THINGS and i absolutely love how we, instead of like in the first film where we had to fix the relationship between marty's parents, we have to fix the relationship between the main characters which we all thought was pretty much unbreakable in the movies. a+ stuff right there.

play bttf the game if you haven't. and then go write some fanfics about it please there aren't many and this is a CRIME. i gotta love me some game content

IP (acronym to be determined, but is taken from ira progoff, who created the intensive journal writing program) lost their guide dog and friend in the train accident. since theyre in the mind sect, their principles center around things like "what should i have done to get a better outcome, and how can i apply this to future decisions"

IP, their friend and their dog were on the train bc they were late and missed their first ride. since being in the accident happened due to poor decisions and being unprepared (which led to being late) they become strictly prompt and scheduled about everything. like how antoda (doom) questions "is it your series of decisions or just meant to be", IP tries to stick to the best schedule to eliminate the chance of misfortune happening because of their actions. every day they journal flaws and unexpected events in their routine that they then change and prepare for the next day- the seven-circuit labyrinth tattoo they have is like a visual memento of principles, rules, and events they want to remember.

IP cannot allow themselves to indulge in anything that would compromise their decisions they dont stay out late they dont drink or do drugs its pathological at this point they break out in fucking hives if something is changed. meanwhile antoda has been on oxy since they were 12 (cited from quinn thatneoncrisis, MLA format).

WHY I'M HOLDING THESE COMMISSIONS

I and my fellow Filipinos are currently in the midst of a creating a pivotal moment in history as we expose the unjust and corrupt election day that occurred last Monday, May 9, 2022.

As I write this, my people—some I know personally, most of whom I share the same principles and thirst for justice—are camping out in the streets in front of the Commission on Elections, protesting peacefully yet strongly against the blatant disenfranchisement and electoral fraud that occurred yesterday: from broken vote counting machines to corrupted SD cards, people had to wait in line for more than six hours only to personally feed their ballots into the machines. A day after the elections, we've learned of additional anomalies that contribute to the spread of misinformation that contributed to Marcos Jr.'s win by (alarming) landslide. This has been the nastiest election day that I've ever encountered, and it will keep going.

Keeping us in your thoughts will matter to us taking a stand for our right to democracy. And whether you're a friend, a follower of mine, or even some random internet passerby, know that there are millions of us—millions—who are woke enough to take a stand to fight the powers that be.
