Scott Pilgrim if it was good

Anyway, I find it really cute how protective Wallace is over Scott when it comes to Envy. He'd definitely want to rub it in her face if he ever ended up dating Scott in the future.

Doubts
Pedro Pascal x fem!reader
WC: 1.4k
Another quick one
Warnings: just cute fluffiness, Pedro being a soon-to-be dad, pregnancy
Tumblr media
lol this is such a fucking cute pic omg
"Hi YN, how are you?" One of the cast members greeted, you pushed out a smile despite the tiredness you felt all over. A bulging belly was all you were, you had two months left and you were ready for them to come and go, you loved most of your pregnancy— it was a beautiful experience for the most part. The little moments where you'd feel her feet kicking you, when she'd rotate to make herself comfortable, it was a slap in the head to realize you were growing an actual person inside of you.
"I'm great, how are you?" You conversed. "Doing good, how is baby Pascal?" You beamed every time someone referred to her as such, it was a gentle reminder that you chose the best partner to make another human with. "She is doing good, we brought some food for dad. Is he on his lunch yet?"
She nodded. "He should be in the makeup room with Bella."
"Thanks."
Today you decided to surprise Pedro on the set of the new series 'The Last of Us.' You had told a bit of a fib this morning telling him you wouldn't be able to visit due to a doctor's appointment you had around his lunch break. Well, it wasn't a total lie you did have an appointment but it was in the morning way before his lunch, so you bought some food and drove out to the set. You were hoping he'd be excited as you were. You made your way down the hall to the makeup room, saying hi to a few people who you were fond of, you were finally approaching the room when she heard Bella, his co-star, mention your name.
"So are you excited to have a baby? Will you guys let me know when she gets here?"
You quietly chuckled, Bella was a sweetheart and honestly the way their personality was set up you would think Pedro and yourself had created them. When you told them the news about the baby they couldn't stop smiling, texting you the next day that they could barely feel their cheeks and their reaction to being asked to be your child's Godsibling really set it in stone for you. The three of you spent a lot of time together, you loved how they and Pedro got along so you figuratively adopted them as your own.
"Yeah I'm excited, maybe a bit worried, but excited nonetheless."
You frowned. Worried about what?
"Worried about what?" Bella asked, taking the words right out of your mouth. Pedro shrugged. "You're great with kids though."
He nodded. "But it's different when it's your own, you have to be a great example of what she should be, a role model and what if I'm not the best example?"
You placed your hand on your stomach out of habit, why did he never say this to you before? You had told him your doubts about becoming a mother and he reassured you every time, surely you'd do the same for him. You straightened yourself up and knocked on the door frame peeking your head from behind the wall. "Hellooo."
"YN!" Bella exclaimed, they sprinted out of their seat leaving Pedro in the dust, and they carefully engulfed you in a loving embrace. "How's it going, honey?"
"Good, just shooting and talking to the old man here."
You looked up at Pedro who had a sheepish smile on his face, you bent your lips in attempting to hide your own grin but you couldn't help it, every time you saw him it poured a bit more joy into your soul. Bella's eye ran between you and Pedro and they grimaced. "I will leave you two to be gross, bye baby." They planted a kiss on your tummy and another on your cheek before leaving you and Pedro alone. You reached out hoping to receive a hug which he gladly delivered. He nuzzled his nose into your neck and planted a small kiss on the side. "Hi, mama."
"Hi baby, you okay?"
"Better now that you guys are here." He never left out his unborn child, often referring to you as two people now. You two pulled apart, you lifted up the brown bag containing your meals and gently shook it. "Was hoping we could have lunch together."
Pedro's eyes sparkled with love at the way you said that. "Always. No drinks though?" You closed your eyes in immediate defeat, you knew your hand felt empty but you didn't know what was missing. "They're in the car, sorry, mommy brain." He playfully pouted laying his palm out and asking for the keys. "No, it's cool I'll get them." You reassured.
"YN." That tone was stern, he barely wanted you holding that lunch bag let alone waddling back to the car for drinks, you kissed your teeth and handed over the car keys. "Meet me in my trailer?"
You agreed and watched him vanish. You took your sweet time navigating back out of the hallway and maneuvered around the set until you arrived at Pedro's trailer outside, thank goodness Alberta's weather was tolerable today, it wasn't too cold but half the time you couldn't tell anyway. The constant hot flashes had you boiling in your own sauna for one minute and freezing your ass off when it died down. You made your way inside, you huffed completely exhausted from your little trip, after catching your breath you sat down on the couch and placed the bag on the table.
As you took the contents out the door swung open revealing Pedro holding the tray with your drinks and a little bag in his hand. "Thank you." You took the tray out of his hands and placed it on the table, you nodded toward the bag. "What's that?"
"They had red velvet cupcakes at the snack table and I know that's been one of your cravings lately, so I... snatched an unopened container..."
You shook your head. There really wasn't anything he wouldn't do for you. You thanked him and placed the treat next to your food. The cushion next to you sank as he sat down, you could feel his gaze on you but tried your best to avoid it. He raised his hand and proper his finger under your chin to turn your head towards him. "I knew you were coming."
"Shut up no you didn't."
He gave you a quick kiss on the lips, you whined wanting a longer one. "Yes, I did." He replied. "How was the appointment? Everything's good?"
You nodded. "She still has ten fingers, ten toes and a big head."
He frowned. "Don't talk about my baby like that." You laughed kissing his head as an apology. The two of you finally dug into your meals, talking about what was new even though you didn't have many updates. Pedro talked about how the show was going and how much he was enjoying filming. You were proud of him, his career had really skyrocketed recently and though it kept him busy you were happy to hold down the fort for him.
After you finished eating you made yourself extra comfortable on the sofa, leaning against the armrest with your legs laid out on the cushions. Pedro chuckled at how exhausted you were, it was cute, it couldn't be easy carrying around a boulder all day. He assisted in removing your crocs and letting you rest but not before crawling between your legs and gently relaxing his head beside your belly. You absentmindedly ran your hands through his hair and rested it on the back of his head.
Slumber was near and you tried so hard to fight it but judging by how quiet you'd become, it wasn't hard for Pedro to tell you were dozing off. He planted a light kiss on your stomach with a gentle poke at your belly button which earned a kick from the baby. "Yeah, I know you're in there." You smiled at their communication. "I'm ready for her to be out here." You mumbled sleepily. "Me too."
"I chose the best person in the world to create life with, you are going to be an amazing father Pedrito. You spoil her and she's not even here yet, you've shown her so much love that at this point I am just carrying her for you and you only."
He looked up at you figuring you overheard his conversation with Bella. "I don't think baby Pascal would've chosen us for no reason."
The reassurance gave him a bit of a boost, slowly melting away whatever doubts he had earlier today. "I love you." He cooed. "I love you too, baby."
He rubbed your belly and nuzzled his nose on the side. "And I love you, mi corazoncito."
If you're new here (hi how are ya) I have this thing where I like to write my boys as fathers so expect a lot more of this. Especially with Pedro because... I mean, it's him. also I heard Bella Ramsey is non-binary, correct me if I'm wrong though i don't mind if you liked this fic, feel free to like this fic. Comments and reblogs are appreciated. I will be going back to the regularly scheduled program of the main 3, but we'll circle back to Papi Pedro soon dw😏 peace and love

I've been teasing her for months!! But at long last her ref is complete 🌷
I actually DON'T have a 5 page essay on her backstory this time (like I did for Ilari LMAO) but I do have some info about her if anybody is curious!
Name: Ione
Age: 25
Hair color: Silver
Eye color: Orangish-yellow
Element: Light
Grabbing info from the few posts I've talked about her already, Ione was originally a very famous singer, pretty much an idol within the world of ATS. She'd hold huge concerts that were always sold out and people from around the world would flock to see her perform. Eventually tho all of the attention started to attract the wrong kinds of people, and sooner or later Ione was "scouted" by a very rich man who wanted her all to himself. She was manipulated and blackmailed into signing a contract with him that would essentially end her touring and make it so that she would become a private singer for him. He basically chained her with this contract and so she disappeared from the public eye.
Ione soon discovered that other people with similar talents had also been gathered and trapped by this man's contracts. Among them was a prodigy violin player who she grew very close with. The two of them struggled under the demands of this man, and eventually violin boy started to get physically abused by him 😭 Things escalated to the point where Ione decided she wanted OUT and was determined to do anything to escape. This led to a very...traumatic event that caused her to go mute by choice.
When Ione finally makes her escape, thankfully she's changed so much that people don't recognize her in public (mostly her hair! It used to be short and didn't cover one of her eyes before). Shortly after she runs into Nahu and his group, and is unceremoniously recruited to join them lol (Nahu can be VERY persuasive). Ione communicates with them through sign language, which luckily a couple of them are fluent in--Ezio and Sage to be specific. They then teach the others in the group sign language too. It takes Nahu a bit to get the hang of it bc he has like, no attention span whatsoever, but being a dragon elemental helps since his senses are super attuned all the time, so he can generally tell what Ione is feeling and what she's trying to convey when she talks to him :")
Over time Ione grows closer with them, and like everybody else is hit with the Found Family, and realizes that yeah. She'd do absolutely ANYTHING for this group of crazy weirdos. She starts to fall in love with Nahu (bc who WOULDN'T), and slowly gains the courage to use her voice again. This leads to secret meetings with Sage, who helps her relearn how to use her vocal cords.
Eventually her past catches up with her, of course, but the group all bands together to set her free from it. She has to face off against violin boy, who thought she'd abandoned him and got Messed Up Mentally as a result, so THAT'S a thing she's gotta deal with. But she's able to reach him by singing for the first time in over five years, and everyone absolutely loses their shit at how beautiful her voice is and they all cry and it’s very emotional!!
Even after regaining her voice she still prefers to stay quiet most of the time, as that is what she's comfortable with, but she's totally okay with speaking when she needs to. Also I need to mention this but bc she used to be like. An idol. Obviously her routines consisted of both song and dance so she's a pretty good dancer. Out of everyone in the group, Ione is the ONLY person Ezio will dance with (and he is a very VERY good dancer himself, but will only dance with someone who can keep up with him, which Ione can). Everyone is very jealous of this, ESPECIALLY Nahu lol bc he wants to dance with Ezio too 😂
Ione's a light elemental! I haven't given a LOT of thought into her powers yet but I do know that her singing makes her stronger and also gives her powers a boost, which in turn helps the rest of the group. She also can ride on these light waves--I will have to draw them sometime bc I can't really explain them in words, it'd be better to show them visually lol
And that's her!! My flower light mute girl <33333

Ok hear me out👉👈
Katie finding out (in this case she got friendzoned LOL) that Reader is in a relationship with someone else?? How do u think she takes it??
I've been such a lurker for quite some time and i love ur content sm 🥺🥺🥺🥺 *sending kisses*
Rejection is never the End.
💌 ⤻ THE CHEERLEADER, KATIE WILLIAMS
—> she won't ever give up on you.
⤻ reader is gender neutral, reader has a girlfriend, no cheating, manipulation, possessiveness, obsession, typical yandere behaviour, gaslighting, reader gets drunk and katie takes advantage of her
notes: thank you so much for the ask, I'm so sorry it's taken so long for me to get to this!! no proof-reading, we die.
🦋⤻ archives.
Tumblr media
If you have a significant other, Katie will no doubt be furious, especially if you reveal it to her just when she decided to confess to you, of all things. She will be pissed off, but will just smile at you and pretend that everything is a-okay. You wouldn't even suspect a thing.
Sure, at first it'd be awkward with you and her drifting just a bit — which causes her to almost have a meltdown and abandon her cheer captain duties for a while — but eventually after a month of two, you both would go back to normal.
The difference would be that now she had access to your relationship status.
And boy, would she make use of it.
Out of consideration for her feelings, you'd of course not talk much about your significant other but Katie, Katie wanted to know.
It started small, she liked to visit your dorm normally so it was a usual day of her coming to see you after cheer practice in her short shorts and pink t-shirts.
“Oh, those flowers are so cute, did your girlfriend get them for you?” Katie asked, lounging on your desk as she stroked the petals of the bouquet filled with your favourite flowers. “They are so pretty!” She squealed, grinning at you as you sat on your bed.
“Yeah, my girlfriend came over just the other day. It was fun.” You smiled back, wanting to keep details of your beau brief out of respect and love for Katie.
“Does she get you flowers often?” Katie inquired, eyes fixated on the flowers, back turned to you now.
“Not really. It was just a special occasion yesterday, our one year anniversary.” You exclaimed, clearly giddy about the fact you had been together with your girlfriend for a year.
“Fun.” She replied, tutting her plump lips. “So, why didn't I know about her? I mean, you showed me pictures once but you don't really tall about her that much.” Katie commented as she leaned towards you.
“We don't talk about our relationship much…” You mumbled. “I mean- she's like secretive about it. So not a lot of people know.” You shrugged your shoulders awkwardly. Oh, [y/n], you really were such a horrible liar. Katie could tell in an instant that the idea of you relationship being kept secret made you antsy, uncomfortable. If it were *her* that was your girlfriend, she'd be parading you around proudly. Why couldn't you see that?
“Huh.” She huffed, eyeing you up and down.
That was how it started.
She made use of your insecurities about your relationship with your girlfriend and weaponised them against you. Slowly, you grew more worried about whether the reason your girlfriend didn't want to reveal your relationship was because she wasn't proud to be with you, or she wasn't committed to being with you or worst, that she was being unfaithful towards you. Katie didn't help matters, subtly showing you those stupid YouTube shorts with reddit stories that talked about how people who didn't make their relationships known typically cheated on their partners.
You slowly spiralled into madness, growing resentful of your girlfriend and more appreciative of Katie. Eventually, you would break it off with your girlfriend when things became too hard for the both of you.
You kept starting arguments with your girlfriend over why she wanted to keep the relationship a secret, you became too needy for her validation and she was annoyed with you constantly picking fights with her and also your budding relationship with Katie who seemed to find a way to antagonise your girlfriend every single time. Katie egged you on, overanalysing each word your girlfriend said or texted to you and reporting what she thought back to you. Most of which just made you view your girlfriend in a horrible light.
Eventually, you broke up with your girlfriend.
Just like Katie wanted.
She would soon swoop in to comfort you, tell you that it wasn't your fault that the relationship didn't work. Your girlfriend was the red flag, you didn't do anything wrong!
“Come on, pom-pom. Cheer up, you'll find someone much better than her. You were too good for her ass anyway.” Smiled Katie as she dragged you for a night of partying at a fraternity.
You got wasted, of course; attempting to drown out the sorrow of your freshly opened wounds.
Katie's hand snaked around your waist as you danced to the beat of the music, the loud thumps banging loudly in your ear as you drunkenly relied on the cheerleader for support. Before you knew it, the dancing morphed into Katie pulling you into the bathroom, your legs wrapped around her waist as she leaned closer into you, both sat on the counter of the toilet. The vague sounds of people banging the door outside as you both gazed into each others’ eyes. “You feeling better?” She asked, dark eyes looking into yours intensely.
“I… I still miss her.” You slurred, slumping your body into Katie's neck, letting out a dry sob. The cheerleader hummed as she placed a hand on your waist, another under your chin.
“You don't need to think about her anymore, okay? I'm here for you.” She pressed a chaste kiss to your lips.
Katie knew that you loved her, everyone did. It's just that your girlfriend was in the way. Now that she's not, you can be devoted to loving her, and only her.

Tumblr media
“Penny, I’m serious. Get down from there.”
His toddler pouted, plump lower lip stuck out as her eyebrows furrowed to convey her sadness at being scolded.
“But Daddy—.”
“No ‘buts’,” Eddie added, raising an eyebrow down at her, oh? You’re really not gonna listen?
Penny slumped under the look and let out a long whine.
Reluctantly, the flats of Penny’s feet met the ground as she carefully lowered her foot from the shelf of the bottom cabinets in the kitchen. With her lack of patience and growing curiosity, she’d recently begun to test whether or not she’d be able to use the drawers to climb her way up the counter and get whatever it is she wanted instead of waiting for either Eddie or you to get it for her. She was testing Eddie, too.
He hated having to scold her, she was such a reactive baby, she’d usually immediately get upset on her own once she’d realized she’d done something wrong, eyes always welling up with guilty tears. Lately, she’d taken to breaking the rules more often and while he could still tell she felt guilty, it was clear she’d continue until she'd get hurt.
Or worse.
You weren’t exactly in the state to discipline—usually, you were quite on top of making sure she couldn’t be a brat, time outs so Penny would be able to cool off without her feeling like you were smothering her and cuddles to talk out the reason why she did what she did and why she can’t do it again—but since you were in the nesting phase of your pregnancy, all Penny would get is a ‘Penny, we don’t do that’, which did absolutely nothing since Penny clearly liked to ‘do that’.
As soon as she began to sniffle intensely, fat tears already rolling down her round cheeks while she stared up at her dad with her hands clutched together, Eddie softened and sighed, crouching down to be closer to eye level with her so he could cup the side of her face in his hand, thumb stroking over the soft skin to wipe the wet trails away.
“Hey, hey. Don’t be sad, little bitty pretty one. You didn’t do anything wrong,” Yet. He’d caught her just before she could. “Daddy just doesn’t want you to get hurt. The counter isn’t safe for you to climb on and what do we say about climbing on things that aren’t safe?”
“I-I-I coo’ fall.” She stuttered out, sniffles continuing, less intense due to Eddie’s coddling.
“Mhm,” Eddie didn’t even like to think about her injuring herself.
He was all soft smiles and even softer brown eyes as he stared into her own, absolutely positive the love he had for the tiny little girl, who looked like the perfect combination of you and him, was unconditional and the source behind his strength. From the moment he first held her, Eddie knew he would do anything and everything to protect her, “I love you so much, I don’t want anything bad to happen to you, sweet pea. Can I have a hug?”
Penny nodded frantically, reaching a closed fist up to rub at her other eye before she let out another whine and held her arms out wide, wrapping them around his shoulders as she buried her face in one of them.
“Luh you,” she cried, fisting the material of his hoodie. Eddie stood up after he’d gathered her in his arms, rubbing soothing circles on her back as he kissed her curly little head.
“It’s okay, sweet pea. I love you, too. Always.”
It took a few minutes but once Penny had calmed down, she sniffled and rubbed her snotty little nose off against his hoodie.
“What did you want, anyways?” His eyes scanned the small counter space for whatever it was that could have caught her attention.
“I want the ‘nana.” She pointed lazily in the direction of the bananas, displayed in a bowl. Taunting her.
Eddie used his free arm to rip one from the bunch, biting into the stem at the top of it to keep it still while he unpeeled it for her.
Her lack of patience was once more apparent when she couldn’t wait for him to unpeel the entire thing, reaching out and squishing the part of the fruit that was exposed, ripping it messily away from the rest of it so she could cram it into her mouth.
Eddie chuckled as he carried her out into the living room, plopping down onto the couch with her. Penny quickly devoured the fruit, fingers no doubt messy and sticky until she’d used his legs to climb down from the couch, wiping her stubby little hands on the material of his sweats as she went.
“Am I nothing but a human napkin to you?” He asked with a chuckle, Penny ignored him in favor of digging through her toy box.
“I’d say human furnace, too.” You answered as you returned from the bathroom, fully aware he hadn’t been speaking to you, you just couldn’t resist teasing him.
“Explains why you assault me with those icicles you call feet at night.” He offered you the other half of the banana Penny hadn’t eaten and you took it, only sparing the fucked up top of it a glance before shrugging and taking a bite.
“I can’t help my poor blood circulation, Edward. I can’t prove it right now, but I’m pretty sure it’s your fault.”
He laughed as you settled into the farthest cushion, tapping his thighs as a sign for you to settle your legs over them. You loved him so much.
“My fault? Do explain, babe, I gotta hear it.”
“Probably a side effect of this,” you placed a hand over your swollen belly. No current movement inside, your baby was probably sleeping in there, “Just like my high blood pressure.”
You were still bitter about that one, you’d had quite a few red flags with this pregnancy, had more doctor’s appointments scheduled than when you’d been pregnant with Penny.
“You had ice cubes for toes long before I put a baby in you.” He smirked, a hand reaching out to cover yours.
“You know what?”
He raised an eyebrow to challenge you, much like he did with Penny, what?
“You,” you pointed a finger in his direction, grinning, “be quiet.”
Eddie threw his head back and laughed, it was your version of telling each other to shut the fuck up in the presence of your child. He was still chuckling as he scanned the room for his little girl, immediately tensing when he didn’t spot her.
“Penny?” He called out in alarm, triggering your own concern as you stood up in search of your daughter.
You heard the sound of a gasp followed by something breaking and your daughter’s loud cries. You both bolted over, greeted by the sight of your toddler lying on the ground next to the bananas and surrounded by shards of the ceramic bowl which had housed them.
You were pretty sure your heart stopped and Eddie went pale.
As Penny shrieked, face red, Eddie carefully lifted her from the ground and you immediately noticed the odd angle of her little hand as you assessed her for injuries.
“Eddie,” you inhaled a sharp breath and he clocked the same thing you did, “I’ll get the keys.”
You ran to the bedroom to retrieve a blanket for Penny and met Eddie at the door.
The car ride to the hospital was horrible. You held Penny in the backseat as she cried and cried, feeling absolutely useless and like a terrible mother for being unable to heal her on your own.
Penny had been seen right away, thanks to her young age and injury. Eddie had been a nervous wreck, pacing the waiting area for a good fifteen minutes before he stopped, stood still and then went to wrap his arms around you when he noticed how upset you were, beating yourself up for not having a closer eye on her.
“I’ve told her to not climb the counter, she knows it’s a rule!”
Eddie kissed your forehead, arms secure around you as you tried to bury yourself in his chest to hide from your failure. “I caught her doing it a couple of minutes before she fell, she’s a baby with a lack of impulse control, honey. That’s all. Better believe I won’t be letting her out of my sight after this.”
You’d wiped each other’s tears away and held each other until the doctor came back to take you to the room Penny was in, confirming what you had thought. She’d broken her wrist, most likely having tried to stop her fall with her hands. The doctor said it was the most common type of broken bone injury amongst toddlers she’d seen.
Much to your relief, Penny wasn’t hooked up to anything. She had a little hospital nightgown over her top half but her little overall bottoms were still visible and there was a little pink cast decorating the arm she’d injured. Penny looked miserable until the moment she saw you.
“MAMA!” She shrieked, and you were at her side in an instant, fingers stroking over her curls while Eddie spoke to the doctor.
“Are you okay, baby?” Of course she wasn’t okay, your baby was sporting a cast!
“I hurt my han’, mommy.” She sounded so sad when she said it, you just wanted to scoop her up and hold her forever.
“It’ll get better, I promise.” You swore, happy she still seemed to be preening under your attention. “Baby, why were you on the counter?”
She looked guilty and even more sad, you made sure to plant a couple of kisses on her face to keep her from crying again.
“For anotha ‘nana.”
“Why didn’t you ask me or daddy to get it for you?”
“‘’Cuz—uhm, cuz-cuz-cuz you gotta finish.”
Your brows furrowed in confusion, “Finish what?”
“Making your nes’ for my baby brudder.”
You were full on squinting, mom brain trying to decipher what the heck she was talking about and eventually it clicked.
Nesting.
Penny must have heard you talking about it, which didn’t surprise you since you weren’t as careful as you should be with what you said around her. It was still hard for you to come to terms with Penny having a bit more of a conscience now. While you knew she heard what you’d say (and repeat it like a parrot if it was a curse word) she didn’t understand what she was saying. Or, she hadn’t. Now, she was beginning to think about things and apparently worry.
She’d heard you, all in a tizzy about preparing the trailer for your new addition and she’d gotten worried about distracting you.
“Baby, you’re more important than my nest.” You assured her, though the worry still on her face didn’t go anywhere.
“But brudder─”
“But Penny,” you interrupted with a goofy voice, gently pinching and wiggling her nose to get her to break her serious demeanor. It worked, she giggled, little nose crinkling up, “Penny is just as important as brother. He’s not even here yet and you are still in my nest.”
You reached out to take her smaller hand in yours, thumb stroking over her tiny fingers. She was so little and breakable, it scared you to think about.
“You could have gotten really, really hurt climbing on the counter, baby. Then, mommy would have an empty nest and that would make me and daddy very sad, Penny.” You were positive neither of you would recover.
“Yeah.” Penny agreed, solemnly.
“So, whenever you need something, you have to come to me and daddy, okay?”
“Okay, mommy!” She nodded her head dramatically, “Luh you, mommy. Can I has a hug?”
“I love you, too, and you never have to ask,” She sat up on the bed, very mindful of her pink cast and wrapped her little uninjured arm around your shoulders as you pulled her to your chest. You let out an amused snort when your hand went to cradle the back of her head and found the curls there smashed flat from laying down.
“Oh, baby, that is some bad bedhead.”
“Yeah,” she said again, solemnly, but this time the seriousness of her voice and the topic made you laugh.
Eddie laughed, too, and the sound almost surprised you. You were so focused on your injured baby, you had forgotten he was watching you.
When you turned to look at him, he took that as his cue for his turn. Only, he’d already lectured her about the counters and figured she’d learned her lesson. He’d also, obviously, heard you talk to her about it so he went straight to drowning her with affection, pulling her right into his arms.
“My poor baby!” He cooed, pressing a kiss to her temple and nuzzling his face into her short curls.
“Yeah,” Penny agreed with a sigh that had you and Eddie exchanging glances as you bit your lips to keep from smiling.
Oh, she was gonna milk this broken wrist for all it was worth and you were both more than happy to indulge her and nurse her back to health.

THE Billy Taylor Post
Tumblr media
I have a love/hate relationship with The Halcyon as a show overall. I don't feel like all of it is written well, but the area in which it definitely excels is Billy Taylor's story. You know, the cutie pie bellboy that Ewan plays and who is always bugging out in all of the gifs we make of him. He's young, he's sweet, and he's insanely adorable.
And his story is also the best in the entire show. In my opinion!!
I also cry whenever I think about Billy for too long but we'll get into that later, hehe.
Spoilers for The Halcyon, btw!
If you haven't seen it, The Halcyon is set at a fancy hotel in London just as WWII has come to Britain. Also, fair warning that this post is a little bit all over the place because I have SO MANY BILLY TAYLOR FEELS
At the start of the show, Billy is seventeen and working at The Halcyon as a bellboy. He's portrayed by Ewan as someone who's maybe a little bit... no thoughts, head empty. I jokingly refer to Billy as having big NPC energy when he's in the background of scenes because it looks like he has radio static going through his head whenever he's not being interacted with. And like to think that it's not because it was Ewan's first gig as an actor. I think Billy genuinely is a little bit daft. He's the baby himbo. He's the golden retriever puppy who isn't the smartest in the room but he makes up for it with hard work and dedication and pure sweetness.
I mean, he's only seventeen and he appears to be one of the higher ranking bellboys at the hotel. He's given important tasks like welcoming ~secret guests to the hotel, showing new hires where to go, and personally taking care of high ranking guests' belongings. He's clearly trusted by the management and is, more importantly, very good at his job.
But, bless his heart... Billy can be kind of a mess. He's forgetful and sometimes just plain thick. He loses the family dog of the lord and lady who own the hotel while taking it out for a walk. (Literally how does that happen. Billy.) He bungles the staff poker game by revealing his hand without realizing. He's also a silly little dumbass when he and a couple of the other hotel staff are at the movie theater and see the lady who owns the hotel (who's there on a !secret date) and he straight up points at her from several aisles back with his eyes all bugging out. Be more obvious, Billy!
Billy is young and naive and maybe not the smartest guy around, but you know what? He's good at what he does (most of the time, lol) and he's a damn hard worker.
He's also someone who knows that people are reluctant to believe in him and he clearly doesn't like that. Billy signs up to join the army the moment he turns eighteen and, although we don't see it, his mum Peggy (who works at the hotel as the telephonist aka switchboard operator) mentions to the hotel general manager that there was a bit of an argument between them over it.
“Do you know why he was so upset that I didn’t want him signing up? He thought I was saying he wasn’t good enough.”
He also gets angry with his mum when his call-up papers do arrive. I know I called him daft before, so I'm giving him credit where credit is due - he actually very cleverly notices that the letter should have gone to his family's house, but it showed up at the hotel instead. And, upon learning that he's been assigned to the Royal Artillery instead of what he wanted - the engineers - he knows it was his mum (with the help of the hotel general manager, but he doesn't know that part) who moved things around so that Billy could stay close to home.
He angrily tells her, "I ain't a child no more," and storms out of the room. Billy wants to prove himself. He wants to be a grown up with responsibilities and he wants to be believed in.
You feel for him, but you also feel for his mum, who is watching her only son grow up and enlist in the war effort. At one point, Peggy mentions that she was only 19 or 20 by the time she'd had Billy, so she was a young mother (and still is!). Her worrying and fretting over him clearly annoys him because he's a teenager, but, god you feel for her. We also learn that Billy's dad, Jim, was drafted to fight in the war so she must be out of her mind with worry. I'll get more into my Billy feels as related to his mum in a bit. But I mean... just look at this line of Peggy's after Billy's joined the army:
“I pray. I fuss. I hold him a little tighter each time I see him."
Before I move on, GOSH, Billy is such a teenager when it comes to his interactions with his mum, lol. He doesn't want her fussing over him or being affectionate. He shrugs her off when she tries to fix his collar. He's reluctant to let her kiss his cheek... but he lets her do it anyway, of course.
Speaking of his family, Billy's relationship with his little sister, Dora, is also so cute and I love them. She tells another character that she doesn't miss him once he's moved out to join the army because she thinks he's "annoying" but she really does love him, lbr. And he's clearly very close with her, too.
At one point, their family home is destroyed in the Blitz so Peggy and Dora move into The Halcyon for a while. Billy watches his sister on mornings that he can get away from his army duties. He carries her around piggyback style. He lets her wear his army hat. He calls her "squirt." They're freaking adorable.
There's also a cute little moment during one of the Blitz raids where Billy's mum and sister are in the hotel shelter and Dora is frightened. Her mum tells her to listen for the sounds of the artillery and says, “That’s our Billy. He’s protecting us.”
And he is. Billy is a protector. He's always looking out for the people he cares about. When Kate, the maid he has a crush on, is SA'd by the Count, Billy angrily confronts him and even points the Count's own fucking gun at him. AND HE PULLS THE TRIGGER. He was about to fucking murder this man for doing what he did to Kate!
Billy is a fucking real one. God, he's the best character.
I don't have anywhere specific to put this, but I wanted to mention how much I love the little detail the writers added in about Billy's handiness and interest in machinery:
He is seen chatting with one of the waiters about the guns they use in the war and is later able to correctly identify the type of German plane flying over the hotel.
Later on in the season, The Halcyon's general manager and head concierge are trying to fix the hotel generator and lamenting that Billy was the one who always maintained it before he left to join the army. (I will come back to this later because omg)
Billy himself mentions to his mum at one point that he's planning on helping a neighbor with some things she needs done in her shelter and that he expects it to be a quick job.
When he joins the army, he's put in charge of operating one of the anti-aircraft guns - directing his fellow soldiers and being the one to manually operate the machine itself.
Now that I think I've covered every other Billy feel, I have to talk about... the worst one. The saddest one. His death. /:
I don't know how to say this without sounding like a complete [Michael Gavey voice] loooser, but I can't really think about Billy and his story in this show for too long without... crying? Oof.
I think that's a testament to just how well written his storyline was in this show. They make you care so fucking much about this sweet, innocent, pure-hearted, good to a fault, daft, brave young man so much that, when he dies in the Blitz, it really fucking hurts.
I swear, thinking about Billy Taylor deals psychic damage to me every time.
And I think that, part of the reason that Billy's death hurts so much is because of how it's shown to us. We all know the famous orange scene between Billy and Kate so I'm sorry for ruining it by making it sad, lol. But that scene ends with Kate telling Billy that she'll meet him the next morning to share the orange with him. So when morning comes and the hotel staff are arriving and see Kate waiting impatiently for "someone" who hasn't arrived, your heart fucking sinks immediately.
They don't even tell us about Billy's death by showing Peggy learning of the news. We're told through Kate's POV. He doesn't show up to their meeting in the morning and, when she arrives for her shift, the staff has been gathered around by the general manager. Only then do we learn that Billy was killed by a parachute mine the night before. And we follow Kate to the same closet where Billy gave her the orange, where she's sobbing and cradling the fruit in her hands.
But what's even sadder is that Billy remains a presence throughout the rest of the show. You, as the viewer, grieve him alongside not only his family, but also the people who knew him and worked with him.
When the hotel loses power during a bombing one night and the general manager and head concierge are trying to fix the generator, they're lost for what to do and even lost for words because Billy was the one who always handled the generator. They end up fixing the thing by taking a wrench and banging the side of it because "That's what Billy used to do." And it works. The generator turns back on thanks to Billy. Thanks to the memory of him. And the concierge look up and says, "Clever lad," as though Billy can hear him.
Of course, Peggy spends the rest of the season grappling with the loss of Billy, too. The other characters mention more than once that she's "talking about Billy as though he's still here" and that it's worrying them. Eventually, the general manager sits down with her and she says that she does know he's gone but that it's so hard to believe because she wants to think that he could just walk through the door at any moment.
But, oh my god, the saddest moment of the show for me... is the moment when Peggy is walking through the hallway in the staff area of the hotel and she sees one of the bellboys walking towards her. He has his head down so his face is in shadow but he's about the same height as Billy... and you can see in Peggy's face that she's allowing herself - just for that one moment - to imagine that it's Billy. To let herself think that he's still alive. You're watching her process the scene before her and seeing her think, "Could it be him?" for those few seconds... until she sees the bellboy's face. And, oh my god, it absolutely wrecks me every single time.
Billy's death is the reason that Peggy gives up the one thing she has left - Dora - and sends her away to the countryside along with the other children who are being evacuated from London. Because she can't bear the thought of losing her last living child.
Billy is the character who shows the audience how cruel and unforgiving the war is. That it can take anyone, no matter how sweet and kind and young and good the person is.
And it illustrates the enormity of the chasm they leave behind.
Billy's loss is felt in everyone, from his family to the people he worked with to the girl he had a crush on. AND IT'S FELT IN ME, TOO, GODDAMN
This was so long and I may not have even touched upon all of my feels but thanks for coming to my Billy Taylor TED Talk. I fucking love him. The writers did an amazing job writing him. 10/10, no notes whatsoever. I cry every single time.
He's such an underrated Ewan character and, I know I haven't mentioned it much, but Ewan's portrayal of him is flawless. He's perfect at capturing all the silliness, daftness, and earnestness that makes up our sweet little Billy!
Tl;dr - Everyone should love Billy Taylor!
Aaaand here's another gif of our sweet boy to end this massive post:

Hey! I really love your writings!
Can I request a Wednesday X reader where r has telepathy powers and Wednesday develops feeling for r and r reads her mind and asks her "do u wanna tell me something" butttt heres a little plot twist that Wednesday doesn't know what powers r has and weems didnt disclose it too.
U can make it angst or fluff or anything lol would love to read this idea.
A/N: feel like this is ass but I tried my best 😅😭
Your POV
Your head began to pound as the onslaught of voices filled your head. You desperately rubbed your temples hoping to ease some of the tension.
The amount of thoughts flooding your mind always a nuisance but even more so when you'd hear just how vapid and shallow most of them were.
Most of the guys just thinking about getting into the girls pants and most of the girls either caring far too much about looks or popularity. There were some minds you did take comfort in.
Eugene, for example, was currently worrying over hive 309. He feared that he'd miss the right moment to harvest their honey. He was also worried that he was showing too much favoritism and making the other hives jealous.
There was Enid, who while sometimes ditzy still held a great amount of optimism and purity that you couldn't quite find in anyone else.
Which was the complete opposite of her roommate, one Miss Wednesday Addams. You remembered the first time the goth had set foot here in Nevermore. Much like everyone else you were enamored by her looks, fearful of her history and excited at the thought of her bringing a change to your school. She was very much in a class of her own. Her thoughts were very much dark but you couldn't deny the truth they held. You admired her outlook on life, her intelligence and her whit, her thoughts almost always mirrored her words. Not quite an open book but not someone who wears a mask.
Said girl sat next to you, voice low as she whispered to you. "I have more clues towards our investigation."
The feeling of her lips grazing your ear sending a chill down your spine. You nodded quietly, eyes shifting towards Xavier's as his thoughts began to shift from admiration to jealousy. It was no secret he harbored feelings for Wednesday even the girl herself knew of them but she wasn't focused on relationships, she was focused on saving the school from a monster.
Perhaps she chose you because you didn't dismiss her when she'd said she had seen Rowan mauled by a monster. Or because you never seemed to push her past her own comfort zone. You had pledged your allegiance to her one night in the woods. She had saved you from dying so you felt you owed her. She had patched up some small wounds and even taught you some self defense.
"I refuse to have an incompetent partner."
She, as well as most of the school knew nothing of your powers and the fact that she saw you as an asset without it made you feel...special. She trusted you as her partner and you would
do anything to keep it that way. You were both currently in the coroners office looking for more evidence as you caught Wednesday staring at you.
"Is something wrong?" The goth blinked once before turning back to the task at hand. Your eyebrow furrowed as you focused on the girls mind.
....you're being ridiculous.
You shook your head before getting the body prepped, your eyes catching something the police failed to report.
"Wednesday look he's missing his left foot." The shorter girl stepped closer her shoulder brushing you as she did so. Her eyebrows raising slightly as Thing began tapping, catching both of your attention.
Wednesday shoved you on a gurney before climbing on top of you Thing closing you both in as he clambered his way into an empty skeleton.
The smaller girl pressed to you in the tight space made you nervous, your breathing growing heavy as you heard voices from the outside. She looked to you making a show to breathe quietly through her nose. You tried to do the same but your chest was heaving, "relax" she mouthed. You nodded trying to listen, her thoughts were imitating her words but the sudden addition of more people coming into the room increased your panic.Wednesday gritted her teeth before pulling you closer her dark eyes boring into yours.
You felt your breathing grow calmer the longer you stared. You tried to focus on the details of her face as her eyes never left yours.
She has freckles and long eyelashes.
Your eyes flicked down to her lips before they go back to her eyes. You leaned a bit closer making her eyes widen but she remained still.
A knock echoing through the crawl space as Thing opened the door indicating the three of you should leave while still undetected.
You both remained quiet as you went back to the school and to your dorms. A quick goodnight falling from your lips as you couldn't meet the smaller girls eyes.
For a few days following, Wednesday had avoided you, not like the plague as she'd probably enjoyed it but more so like rainbows or puppies.
You were currently eating in the library alone as you sensed a dark presence enter. You tried to slide further down your seat to seem smaller as you'd noticed the raven looking for something in particular.
I wonder if Y/N- Enough.
You watched her seethe and grit her teeth as she continued to scan the isles.
You need to get yourself in order. You don't need y/n they're just a distraction.
She'd repeat the mantra before she'd be distracted by something that would make her think of you. You found yourself pushing yourself away from her mind and running to your dorm.
Thing had tapped Wednesdays shoulder pointing in your direction. He had signed something that made the girl glare at him.
"I do not like Y/n." She spoke through gritted teeth. "And I don't need help."
The appendage fell back exasperated as Wednesday tried to keep herself focused. Once your face popped back into her mind she'd grow frustrated.
A sharp realization hitting her like a bolt of lightning.
The goth threw down her book and stormed her way to your dorm.
A thud had interrupted what you were doing hands shaking as you'd realize Wednesday Addams had stormed into your room.
"What are you?" The harsh tone and fury clear in the ravens eyes as you stared back confused.
"I never asked your power, yet somehow you always conveniently know when I require your assistance," she began as you felt yourself grow more nervous. "You always know when I need a tool, book, or item without my asking and-"
For some godforsaken reason you fester my thoughts.
"You seem to know how others are feeling without-" your hand shot out a single black dahlia. Wednesday felt herself stop short as she stared.
"Your favorite." You spoke softly as you stood up moving closer to her. "Wednesday I -"
You had to pause and clear your throat as you were unable to decipher the emotions swirling in her black irises.
"I like you. A lot. Your extremely intelligent, and while some may see it as arrogance I admire your confidence and bravery. You don't treat me as an outsider and make me feel important."
You took a deep breath as the girl still had yet to move, her thoughts around you for once completely silent.
"I catch myself thinking about you all the time and when you're not around it feels wrong. I know you're not big on romance but I-"
The smaller girl cut you off hand lifting as she placed a palm on your cheek. You felt your shoulders sag in relief that she didn't slap you.
"Emotions are for the weak but if I were to pick a spouse you wouldn't be the worst choice."
You felt a grin make its way to your face as her thumb began stroking your skin. You gulped as it hit you.
"Uh Wednesday I-" The shorter girl looked at you, the usual cold glare a soft gaze as she waited to hear what you had to say.
"I have telepathy." Her hand dropped from your face as her eyes widened.
For the first time in her life Wednesdays cheeks grew warm and her usual pale complexion had a tint of pink to it.
Shit.

y/n wants something but is too shy & scared to ask naoya (because big scary husband), but being so perceptive, he notices anyway and calls her out
like her hormones are all over the place & she's horny or requesting on behalf of someone. i think it'll be cute to navigate around since y/n never asks anything from him & he might be happy at the opportunity to impress
Heya anon!
Yep, that's exactly the dynamic. Even when they're in relatively good terms I think Y/N will still find it in herself to be somewhat shy towards him MORE SO IF IT'S SOMETHING LIKE THAT YOU KNOW?
Naoya is surprisingly aware when it comes to things that matter—although I'm not sure if this would count as a contradiction from the manga, since he's been called for being too reckless lol but hey, we're all like that. We give more attention to things that we consider important, and Y/N is very, very high up that list.
He's always looking for a way to impress her, so the moment he gets the idea she wants something it's already done—he might even go as far as pester her staff and friends to get more information, you know? although this usually frustrates him because there's nothing more he wishes than for her to open up with him.
Well, can't say I blame her, because the poor instances she'd actively requested something from him he's tease her to death, before obliging of course. Y/N has to be a blushing, red mess for him to finally be like "Ok, it's done" and she doesn't like that.
"Maybe if she doesn't want that happening to her, she should stop acting all cute around me" is what Naoya would say, to which the rest of the estate, literally everyone would be completely dumbfounded because you don't do anything outstanding to provoke him???
Like, Naoya would tell someone "did you see how Y/N was looking at me during dinner? That vixen... she can't even hide how much she wants me" only for them to say "she just wanted you to pass her some napkins??"
She could literally be like: 🧍‍♀️ and Naoya would interpret it like "Now??? Alright, if my wife wants a baby, I'll give her a baby"
I'd like to think that in times that truly matters, he pulls through tho. I hope so lol.
Because very, very deep inside him, he truly cares for you and he's just over the moon for being with you. And you, of course, love him and his doting ways—as irritating as they are sometimes. In fact, when he doesn't do them you grow worried really quickly, huh, so maybe you don't dislike them as much as you think you do 😂
also if it's worth anything, a scene just like the ask describes is going to happen in the main fic—sometimes y'alls ability to guess the future chapters scare me...
Either way, thank you so much for sending in an ask!! This was very, very cute indeed. I want more Naoya/Reader fluff in this world 😭 I shall work on it then.
Take care, and hope to see you soon!!

Masterpost
Tumblr media
It was like your body forgot how to breathe on its own, your lungs emptying in a rush and struggling to inflate again as you gazed at the man in front of you. The very familiar man you almost ran up to before seeing a woman with him.
He looked just like Miguel, but it wasn't - not your Miguel at least.
Your Miguel wouldn't be out in public like this, with a woman and a child walking with him. He'd come straight to your apartment, usually through one of the windows. You'd take turns enjoying each other's bodies and after just a brief conversation while you cleaned up, he'd leave out the same window.
Sometimes he'd even portal away right in your living room.
You'd always been tempted to follow him, but you knew you shouldn't. You didn't belong where he was from, and he didn't belong here. Clearly.
"Hey," Your friend's hand grabbing your arm shook you from your stupor and you sucked in a breath, turning to face them with wide eyes. "You alright? You look like you've seen a ghost."
"Uh," you glanced back to where your worlds Miguel had been, to find the space empty, "Yeah," You turned back to her, wrapping your sweater tighter around yourself, "I'm fine, just thought I saw someone I knew. It wasn't him though."
"Okay. . ." She looped her arm through yours, tugging you close to keep warm in the cold wind and you began your trek again to the bookstore, trying not to pay any attention to the ache in your heart at seeing a version of Miguel you didn't know with someone who wasn't you.
You tried to focus on Megan's rambling about a new book coming out, how excited she was to finally read the ending to a series she'd been obsessed with for years. You tried to get your brain to absorb the words she was spewing at you, you really did. But you couldn't get your mind to forget about that man you saw.
He looked so different from the Miguel you knew - he looked happy.
Thinking about it, you weren't sure you'd ever seen your Miguel even smile. He was always so weighed down by his life, his responsibilities. From what he'd told you, he didn't have a life outside of his work. Hell, he barely had time to come see you.
Which, you realized very early on in your situationship, that he shouldn't even be doing. He shouldn't be in your world, you both knew that. But recently, you've had enough of sneaking around.
You'd had enough of not being able to tell anyone about him. Of going everywhere alone. Sleeping alone. Dining alone. Walking. Talking.
Living.
And now, with the knowledge that your reality's Miguel had a life and was happy and married - it made you wonder what you didn't know about your interdimensional booty call. And as you spent the afternoon with Megan, each reading your own books, you could feel the discomfort of that curiosity fester in your chest and you knew it would grow into something dark and ugly if you didn't get a chance to talk with your Miguel. And soon.
~~~
A heavy sigh deflated Miguel's chest as the sight of your apartment came into view. He could see the kitchen light on as he swung his way over, sticking to the shadows of the night as best he could.
He wasn't planning on coming to see you quite yet, he still had so much work to do, but something in his gut told him he needed to get to you as soon as he could. That he needed to check on you.
He was only planning on stopping by, peaking in to see if you were okay. He wasn't going to come in, he wasn't going to say hello. Just stop, check on you, and leave. In and out. Easy.
Except it hardly ever was.
He got up to your window, peeking over the window pane to try and catch a glimpse of you but you were nowhere to be seen. There was an abandoned mug of what he assumed was tea on the counter, the steam rising from it in thin tendrils toward the ceiling. There was a book haphazardly thrown onto your couch, something that made confusion and worry flood his system - you'd never do that to one of your books.
"Lyla."
"Yeeees?" She appeared over his shoulder, peeking into your apartment, mimicking him.
"Stay on alert, but only cut in if it's an emergency." He ordered.
"Oh boo," She glitched to stand in front of his nose, "I'm never going to meet her am I?"
He refused to answer, glaring at her from the other side of the mask and she sighed.
"Fine, call me if you need any advice." With that, she vanished and he tested the window, sighing slightly when it slid up and allowed him in.
He silently crawled in, crouching near the window as he left it open for an easy escape route should he need it. Taking in your apartment, it was clear something was wrong, you never let it get this messy. You usually took pride in how clean you kept it, how organized it was. To see dishes piled in the sink, crumbs on the floor, a basket of forgotten laundry in the hallway and shoes scattered across the floor had Miguel questioning if he was even in the right apartment.
But he knew that couch, he knew the photos on the shelves and the paintings on the walls. He was familiar with the plants on top of the bookshelves, with the coupons pinned to the fridge. He was in the right place.
That was only further confirmed for him when he heard you, your shuddering breath coming from down the hall. His attention snapped to your bedroom where it sounded like you were and he called your name, quickly making his way to your door.
Your door was thrown open right before he could reach it, and his eyes widened at the sight of you. Your eyes were rimmed red and sunken, your lashes wet and your brows coming down into a scowl that sent ice through his veins.
Your name left his lips in a soft mutter and you folded your arms around yourself, as if protecting yourself from him. As if he would reach out and harm you or throw harsh words at you.
His heart thundered in his chest as his nerves grew and his hands shook as thumbed the switch to remove his mask.
"Why are you here?" You asked, your voice raw and cracked.
"I wanted to see you," you pushed past him, making your way to the kitchen and he followed, hot on your heels, "I had a feeling I needed to check on you."
You huffed a breath at that, grabbing your still warm tea.  "Well," You stopped, leaning against the counter as you lifted the full cup to your lips, "you've checked on me. Now what?"
He angled his head. He wasn’t used to you being this cold, this closed off. “Did something happen?"
You let loose a dry chuckled, void of any humor, "You could say that." You set the cup down with more force than necessary and stared at him. "I have a question for you."
His back straightened out of instinct, his spidey senses telling him to prepare for whatever it was you were about to ask as the hair on the back of his neck stood stiff. "Okay."
"What are we doing?" It filled the air in an almost silent whisper.
It took him a moment to respond, his eyes searching your face for any clue as to what you were talking about. "What do you mean?"
"I saw you," You started, crossing your arms again, "Well, not you you, but my world's version of you."
Miguel could feel his heart begin to sink. He'd been so infatuated with you, he didn't even think about your reality's version of him. About what that would mean for you - for the both of you.
In his silence, you continued, "He wasn't alone either." You looked up at him, tears lining your lashes no matter how steady you kept your voice, "He was with a woman. And a little girl."
Miguel felt the words hit his chest like a freight train and he stumbled backwards, turning on his heel to shield himself from your intense stare.
"So let me rephrase it," Your voice followed him as you stayed rooted in the kitchen and he began to pace, "Why are you doing this? Why are you really coming here?"
He turned to you, his hunched shoulders dropping when his eyes met yours, finding nothing but confusion there. So he told the truth, "I can't stay away."
"But you can't stay either."
He sighed, shaking his head 'no' as he watched you.
"You come and you go," you start, letting the tears fall, "You come in here, have me in whatever manner suits you, and then you leave. You leave me to my life and you go back to yours. But I don't even know about your life. I don't know about you. Not anymore than you've told me, which isn't much. I want to know you. I want to go out with you. Go on walks or go to dinner. Anything outside of this apartment." You took a breath to steady yourself, "I'm tired of being alone, Miguel."
He watched from across the room as you made your way over to him, stopping in front of him and tipping your head back as he towered over you.
"I'm tired of sitting here, waiting for you to come back," You whispered, "Wondering if you'll come back at all."
He raised his hand to your face, the callous of his thumb rough against your cheek as he stroked it. Not a word was spoken as he caressed your face, his other hand coming up to your other cheek.
He'd told you he was from another reality, that he worked to keep the multiverse from falling apart.
He'd never told you what happened. He never told you about the reality he'd accidentally destroyed. The wife and daughter who no longer exist because of him.
He noticed your lips part, as if you were about to say something, and he rushed to get it out. All of it.
"My name is Miguel O'Hara," He started, his voice rough, "I'm Spiderman, but in a different way than the Spiderman who lives in this city. I run the Spider Society in Nueva York on Earth-928. We protect the Multiverse from fracturing and unraveling, as much as we can. I'm gone all the time because we're trying to hunt down and contain what are called anomalies - beings who get ripped through the multiverse and wind up in a reality that isn't their own."
"So you're an anomaly when you come here," You started, "I know all of that already."
"I can't stay because I don't want to risk your reality falling apart."
Your body tensed under his hold as you stared up at him. "How do you know that's what would happen? It's not like I'm some important politician or celebrity. How do you know it would unravel my reality?"
"I don't know for certain," He stated, his voice dropping so low that if there were any other noise in the room, you wouldn't hear him, "But it's not a risk I'm willing to take. I've already had to watch people I love vanish right in front of me because I was too selfish to leave their world. I won't let it happen to you too."
"What happened?" You asked.
He paused, a lump in his throat stopping him from spilling all of it to you. "If I tell you the whole story," He started, trying to ignore how nervous he sounded in his own ears and how his heart had begun to race. "You might hate me for it."
Your fingers wrapped around his wrists, pulling his hands away from your face as you held them in between the two of you. "I deserve to know who you are," Your voice was gentle as you spoke, "Don't you think?"
He tightened his hold on your fingers, clinging to your hands like a lifeline, praying that after he told you his whole story, that you wouldn't see him as the villain he often thought himself to be. He nodded. "You do."
"Okay," You led him over to your couch, sitting down and waiting for him to sit beside you before speaking again. "Tell me."
Miguel knew that if you were to allow him to keep coming to you after hearing his whole story, to let him keep seeing you, that he'd have a lot to make up for. But he was okay with that. He'd spend the rest of his life groveling if that's what it took.
He just needed to tell you, and let you decide if you hated him or not first.
So, he took a steadying breath and told you all of it. Everything from before he destroyed that reality, to working fixing other realities, to finding you. He even included how he fell in love with you, no matter how hard he tried not to.
Everything.
More steddie dads content I really want some Eddie centered like teaching the girls guitar or dnd especially since Robbie is like him I think that they’d bind over a shared interest and he’d teach her stuff from when he was younger!
lol yeah the last few have def been more steve-centric (and also kind of a bummer) so let's switch up the vibe a bit
So, yes, Robbie is Eddie's daughter through and through.
She's stubborn and brazen and loud in her opinions and beliefs. She can be a little flippant about other peoples' feelings when she's not careful, and sometimes struggles to acknowledge the validity in other experiences outside of her own - in other words, she's Eddie to a T. She's even got the same big curly hair (though it's way more well-maintained than Eddie's had been thanks to Steve).
As for hobbies, Robbie is the only one out of Eddie and Steve's three daughters to really take an interest in music.
Eddie is thrilled about this, especially in the early days when Robbie is seven or eight and dying to try out any instrument they put in front of her. She has a natural proclivity for nearly all of them, which is fucking wild to Eddie, but the violin is the one she takes a particular shining towards.
Eddie can't say he'd ever had a resounding interest in classical music, but he wants to support Robbie so he dives into it right along with her.
That shit...
is metal as hell.
Seriously rad.
Eddie anxiously waits for her to be old enough to try out his old electric guitar. He waits until she's fifteen years old - the same age he'd been when he'd gotten his first electric - and then he digs it out of storage and bestows it upon her like the exquisite treasure it truly is.
In true teenager fashion, Robbie is...unimpressed.
She humors him for a bit, and to her credit, she does seem at least a bit intrigued by the almost forty-year-old guitar, but when Eddie offers to show her how to play, she only shrugs.
"I don't want to mess with my technique," she tells him, as if she's not shattering his heart into a bazillion tiny pieces.
"What does that even mean?"
"I dunno," she shrugs again.
Later, once the guitar has been safely put away, Eddie recounts the exchange to Steve.
"I just don't get it," he laments, "She'd be so good at it! I don't get why she won't just give it one chance."
"She's you, my love," Steve tells him, "Are you forgetting all the years you spent rejecting everything outside of what you deemed acceptable. You grew out of it. She will too."
So Eddie resigns himself to waiting it out. Robbie ends up deciding she wants make a career out of playing the violin, and she goes to New York to get her bachelors in music.
Just as Steve had predicted, once she hits college and grows up a little bit, she starts seeing the value in the world outside of the small corner of it she occupies. She comes home from her first semester regaling them with all the things she'd learned, and she catches Eddie by surprise when she asks him to bring out his old electric guitar.
Eddie and Robbie jam in the basement for like five hours before Steve insists they go the fuck to bed, and that "Hazel has school in the morning, in case you lunatics forgot."
(As for dnd, looking at it from the perspective of teenage girls, Steve and Eddie's kids absolutely do not want to think about their dad DM-ing. Eddie can't even breathe the wrong way without his daughters calling him out for being cringe or whatever, never mind executing a whole campaign. They'd die of embarrassment - guaranteed.
Robbie does get super into MTG in college, which Eddie absolutely takes as a personal F-You from his daughter. He gets his revenge by refusing her offers to teach him to play, even though it honestly sounds like a fuckin' blast, but that's a hill he's willing to die on)
Can you write headcannons on how the Lin Kuei trio would be as fathers? (if they have a son and/or daughter) I like to think they are super protective of they have a daughter lol
Oh dear anon, it's like you're reading my mind.
I've been thinking about this for a while now, but I'm gonna tweak it a bit-- I'm a kindergarten teacher, and I see the kids' parents every now and then. So I guess this is more of my perspective as a teacher on how I see the parents.
What you're about to read is...
HC: The Lin Kuei boys as students' parents I deal with (AU)
A heads up, these purely comes from experiences, but adjusted a bit to match the boys' personalities.
-----🌼-----
Tomas Vrbada
Just the sweetest kind out there.
Tomas drives his daughter to school every day with one of those big motorbikes. Of course, he would put his daughter with complete protective gear. Might look intimidating, but once he switches the engine off and takes off his helmet, he would be all smiles and showed how doting he could be.
He would want his daughter to be independent, so when she asked if she could remove her gears by herself, Tomas would gladly let her. But when she seems to be struggling, Tomas asks her if she needs a helping hand.
Tomas greets the teacher warmly by asking them how they're doing while his daughter adjusts her backpack. He tells the teacher that his daughter has been mentioning their names and calling them her favorite teacher.
He even would extend the warmth to his daughter's best friend-- whose mother has been hospitalized. Tomas would ask her if she'd returned home and wish her well.
Tomas' love language for his daughter is physical touch, so he's not letting his daughter go without her giving him a hug and a kiss on the forehead.
"Listen to the teachers and have fun, alright?" He tells her gently.
Bi-Han
Just insufferable... well, kinda.
Unlike Tomas, Bi-Han rarely drops his son to school because of his busy schedule, but he is known as the parent who is goal-oriented.
It's obvious that Bi-Han has ambitions that he'd want his son to achieve, which could be handful to teachers because he would relentlessly demand things, borderline disrespecting the boundaries such as requesting a meeting during the holidays.
The boundaries disrespecting extends during PTCs. He would speak up until the time limit, and when the teachers prepare to wrap things up, he'd say, "I'm not finished yet."
Although speaks in a very assertive, demanding tone, Bi-Han is aware of which area his son needs improvement at. He would want the teacher to challenge him to reach greater results. Therefore, he would be very honest about his son's home life.
Bi-Han might be disrespecting boundaries, but he would respect the teacher's role as his partner to help his son grow. He would listen to what the teachers have to say about his son because he sees them as a professional.
But he would clearly display a displeased look when he's dissatisfied with the teacher's answers.
Kuai Liang
Just very lowkey, but a gentle guy.
Kuai Liang is sometimes seen dropping his daughter off, but he doesn't really converse with anybody. He opens the car's door for the daughter, helps her with the bag, and smiles necessarily to the teacher greeting them.
He would be present in every performance, though. Kuai Liang cherishes the moments where his daughter takes risks and gets on the stage. He would record her on the corner, away from the other parents.
Kuai Liang would be so cute with his daughter as to gift her with a bouquet of flower after the performance and would tell her that she's done such an amazing job.
He's also the hands-on type when it comes to helping his daughter with school projects. Kuai Liang would patiently guide her through every task, but he would know where to stop to let her mind wire itself.
During PTCs, Kuai Liang wouldn't talk as much, but he would be there putting his arm around her daughter as a form of assurance. He could surprise the teachers with a laugh when they tell him something funny about his daughter.
me reading the "new" "canon" heights for the Bad Batch on starwars.com:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
nooo thank you, don't like those, i'll stick to the wookiepedia + my headcanons version lol ✌️
i'll save my overall analysis & ramblings for under the readmore
(here's the og thread that brought it to my attention. make sure to read op's corrected version!)
(p.s. the height chart was done by me on heightcomparison.com, it's not an official star wars image -- but the data matches starwars.com)
first off, i will acknowledge that visually, in the show, their heights are always a tricky thing. i've been referencing a bajillion screenshots since i came upon this thread. their comparative heights change in like every screenshot, due to camera angles and/or where they're standing relative to each other. we never get to see all five (5) of them standing shoulder-to-shoulder, side-by-side, in a single straight line, with an eye-level camera shot*.
i'll also acknowledge that i've always just gone off of what wookiepedia says, because it's the closest to an 'official' source that we've ever had -- but it's still not the official source. Here's the wookiepedia version, btw:
Tumblr media
and you know what? depending on what screenshot you look at, these can both seem right. sometimes, Tech looks as tall as Crosshair; other times, Tech looks close to Echo's height. (Tech is also rarely at full height -- he's usually got his head and shoulders bent down to read his datapad. i think he slouches too.) i also find Hunter's height varies a lot too, depending on the shot.
Personally, i will be following the wookiepedia version. i think the starwars.com numbers are way, way off. (Warning: here's where the ranting part begins lol)
Wrecker has never, ever been a full head taller than Tech, Echo, or Hunter. what the actual fuck lmaooo
and 7 inches taller than Crosshair?? i don't think so lads
they're tryin' to tell me Echo is shorter than reg height??? bullshit lol. and Tech too??? also bullshit lmao
i refuse to believe Tech is only 2cm taller than Hunter; Tech should be, at minimum, 2 inches taller than Hunter.
i feel Omega's height can vary in the show, like Tech or Hunter as i mentioned. sometimes she seems very small, sometimes she seems taller than i remember.
that all said, i think the height for Omega is correct... for Season 1**. but S2? and now in S3? she's definitely grown a bit.
so i guess if i had to come up with my own numbers, i'd go primarily with the wookiepedia data, with a few tweaks...
Omega**: at least 140cm / 4' 7''
Hunter: 180-181cm / 5' 11''
Echo: 185cm / 6' 1''
Tech: 190-193cm / 6' 3'' - 6' 4''
Crosshair: 193cm / 6' 4''
Wrecker: 198-200cm max / 6' 6''
Tumblr media
(i will hold onto Short King Hunter with a death grip until i die. even though i'll admit he looks reg/Echo height in a lot of shots. but i just really love the idea that's he's juuuust under 6' !)
**My headcanon is that in S1, Omega was approximately 10 years old. (which would match with starwars.com data, since average height for a 10-yr-old = 127-137cm.) i'm assuming we're at least 2 years later by S3, so she should be 12, which should put her height at 140-162cm.
i think in the show, they're keeping her closer to 140cm, but i'm equally onboard with her being on the taller side, closer to 162cm. i like the idea that she will eventually grow to reg clone height of 6 feet, thus she'd be on the taller end of "average" child height.
*there is one singular screenshot i came across which might be the closest. however, it's only properly showing the OG four -- Echo is in the shot, but disproportionately in front of them. it's also from their pilot in Clone Wars S7, which arguably was just a beginning stage for them, and changes were made before their own show aired, including the animation style/models.
Tumblr media
it would explain where many of us got our idea of Tech = Crosshair same height. but Hunter is also nearly as tall as them?? certainly not 180cm lmao. so idk. take that as you will.
I think that Yuri is against the whole marriage thing mostly because the excuse of "i'm married since a year and didn't tell you before and even LIED to you about it, sorry (lol)" that Yor told him.
After all at the beginning, when Yor tells him (lies to him), saying she may see someone, he's happy about it. So it's not the fact that she found someone who bother him but the whole mistery around the marriage and that his sister didn't tell him for a whole year.
It can be pretty suspect for anyone and even more for someone whose the job is to NOT trust people :/
It was not the best start to start to know Loid and appreciate him ^^"
Yeah. As necessary as it was for Loid to have the "we married a year ago, definitely not just for the interview!" excuse, it ended up making the marriage look super suspicious to everyone else.
Now, as far as the fandom is concerned, I think people are too used to stories being poorly written and certain characters being so creepy, that they're not prepared to see the brilliance with which Endo handled Yuri's dynamic. Yes Yuri is a little obsessed with his sister, but it's made understandable due to the circumstances under which they grew up in, and he is willing to accept her getting married. However, that very obsession is there to produce conflict for Loid and Yor, and it's handled with a very delicate balance where it enriches Yuri's personality without making him a creep.
Honestly, I think people misunderstand both his "When I grow up I'm going to marry you" and how he latched onto Yor saying she'd wait up for him. The first one is a thing a lot of little kids tell their parents, older siblings, or any form of caretaker, or even their peers. They know that "marriage" is a form of showing how much you love someone, but they don't know how romantic love works yet, so they connect marriage even with familial or platonic love. So in their minds, telling someone "I want to marry you" just means "I love you very much", and in their age, that can only be familial or platonic love.
About the second, I think Yuri had a moment of ShockTM when he saw Yor about to kiss Loid, not because he felt she was betraying her "promise" to wait up for him, but because reality was very suddenly drilled into him.
Tumblr media
It's like when you sit and have a striking realization about real life. Things like "I'm not getting any younger" or "The world is fucked up" or even "That thing that happened to me was actually traumatic". You go by in your life hearing that stuff, and automatically understand them, but you may have a moment of actual realization when you're like oh. Shit. This is Real.
And I think this is what happened with Yuri here. He didn't actually think Yor would marry him, but it was a kind of "dream" that he subconsciously had, probably in the form of "I will always be the one she puts first". So he might have felt secure in that thought, but right then, when he saw Yor almost kiss Loid, that dream/thought was very suddenly pulled from under his feet. He had his "I'm not getting any younger" realization. But because his emotional state is... how it is, instead of taking a moment to self-reflect and just think, he lashed out and tried to protect that safe space he'd built in his mind.
Honestly, he's a very interesting character because he provides conflict while being layered on his own. He's very well written and developed, and it can be very easy for audiences to fall in the trap of calling him a "creep obsessed with his sister" if they don't look a little deeper.
(no spoilers for the manga please 😁)
watched hi nanna today and it was so good!
the female lead talking about not wanting to get married or have kids AND not being ridiculed for it was not smth i expected to watch in a telugu movie but it gave me exactly that!
my first favourite scene in the movie was the one where yashna breaks down after finding about their daughter's condition and she starts taking it out on viraj and he tries his best to hug her and they end up on the floor with him holding her down. i just loved everything about it! the acting was honestly amazing. mrunal did a fantastic job and even the way it was shot was just,,, beautiful
my second favourite scene was the one where viraj talks about having kids and yashna freaks out and they argue about it and viraj goes out the door saying he wished he never married her but immediately comes back in and hugs her and they make up
ALSO i love that the movie still has that lil bit of silliness that most telugu rom coms do!
i'm really not sure how i feel about the ending tho bc i didn't like it after finishing the movie bc i thought viraj deserved someone better than yashna?? hated that she blamed him for their daughter's condition but now that i think about it.... i feel like viraj should've been more understanding about her stance on kids so he shouldn't have brought up kids so suddenly in the first place and now i've finally come to the conclusion that it kinda makes sense lol
another favourite thing about the movie is yashna's character! she's a woman who's scared of getting married bc of her parents own broken marriage and doesn't want to have kids bc what if her marriage fails too? she doesn't want to put her kids through what she'd experienced and it's such a valid fear for someone like her. and sure, she gets over her fear of marriage bc of viraj but it's not easy for her to change the way she thinks about kids and so she tells viraj that she's worried that if they have kids and their marriage ends up failing, then it's gonna hit the kids the hardest and she doesn't want that which, again, makes so much sense for someone who grew up the way she did but viraj did not grow the way she did and so he hates that she thinks so pessimistically about their marriage and they have a fight about it
and after they end up having a daughter who's diagnosed at birth with a fatal pulmonary condition, yashna freaks out bc her worst fear has come true in a way she did not expect it to. she has to put her daughter through so much trouble but not bc of why she thought it would be that way
and and and the fact that the three of them don't together until after yashna gets better is amazing! might not work for everyone but it worked for them haha
💗 GROWING HEART - if they have a crush, is it noticable? what changes when they’re in love?
So this is the longest 'it got long' yet so answer under the cut!!
Beck: they're typically quite flirty, and when they have a crush that gets turned up to eleven. They'll want to spend more time with the person, they'll be even more teasing and playful. Trying to get the person's attention the best they can. It wouldn't be super subtle. If it's love? Beck would be almost hesitant, which--they never hesitate. Ever. With anything. They'd be uncertain and shy and have no idea how to proceed...which would be pretty obvious.
Croft: it is so obvious if they have a crush. They're more awkward around the person, get tongue-tied when they're usually confident, might even get frustrated/overwhelmed more easily. If they were in love, though, they'd straight-up worship the ground the person walked on. They love deeply and have never really been in love with somebody. I think they'd do anything for the the person they're in love with.
Jay: normally they are very direct...but the exception to that is romance. When they have feelings for someone they're almost bashful. BUT they would do anything they could to keep it cool. You'd only be able to read their slight shyness if you knew them very well. They would have to be very sure about the other person's feelings before they said anything. With love it would be much the same, but they'd be more obvious about it. Lots of longing looks. It would reach the point that Jay felt like they had to tell the other person about it.
Perri: honestly? I don't think it would be that obvious. Perri is so uncertain and anxious all the time that the added stress from a crush wouldn't make it any more noticeable. They'd blush and avoid eye contact, but that's standard for them. They would be a lot more excited to talk to the person. When it's love I think they would gain more confidence than usual around them, which might be obvious. They probably would never straight-up confess though lol that's crossing the line.
Ravi: I've mentioned before, but Ravi attempts to be in complete control of his emotions at all time. If he has a crush on somebody they will never know. At least, that would be his intention. He would be just as distant and enigmatic as typical, even as his his heart was fluttering. When he's in love it would be much the same but he'd...slip. Break 'character' unintentionally. After all, love is all-consuming. It eats you up and makes you lose yourself. Which may or may not be noticeable, based on how perceptive the other person is.
Yasmin: so if she has a crush she'll be direct. It will be obvious because she will straight-up ask you if you want to sleep together lmao. That's as far as a crush will ever go with her. If she's in love it will be more...complicated. She's been in love before. She's lost that person. She never intends to be in that position again. If Yasmin fell in love you would know because she'd be strangely conflicted and avoidant, for her. She'd all of a sudden be acting out of character and it very well might give her away.
i need to know what you think about uta being ace's and sabo's sister too... like imagine a perfect world where uta existed without the mess of film red (i did enjoy it but also uhhhhhhhh there are a lot of weird things abt it bc i dont think shanks would actually take in uta like that considering he did experience piracy as a kid. so why would he put uta through that even if she'd stay put on the ship–) ANYWAY. so lets say shanks found uta after obtaining the devil fruit and takes her to the nearest island (dawn island.) then found makino and luffy and convinces her to stay w them or whatever.
i imagine that ace and uta do bicker w each other a lot. however sabo is very kind and excited to have a sister!! he's protective of her and enjoys her songs. (which brings out a surprising singing side from sabo ehe...)
i also imagine that uta is as rowdy and gluttonous as her brothers tbh. i mean, she's the only girl there so she's more than likely to be influenced by them. ALSO imagine uta being raised by dadan wheewwwww.... i think if she was raised alongside asl bros, she'd end up way different than she did in film red and well- actually become a pirate– (maybe rivaling with her brothers? that or she acts as luffy's biggest rival to be pirate king as her way of supporting his dream) (idk im just thinking as i type)
so everythings the same but uta is there with three insane brothers (shes as insane too... she is their equal). though it's lowkey clear dadan has a favorite (she loves a tough daughter) and god everything w garp would be so insane too like. before sabo was accepted and started living with the bandits, garp was happy to have a granddaughter (till she said she wanted to become a pirate too 😭) BUT he makes sure ace and luffy treats their sister right and is again being a favorite– however, she wouldn't suck up to him like that. like how the brothers would shield each other from garp, she would also shield them from garp !!
"leave my little brothers alone, old geezer!"
and yes, even if uta is a year younger than ace and sabo, she still would call herself a big sister (especially for knowing luffy longer than the other two. shes just used to being the older one)
anyway... lets say asul au is a tjing, now consider ASUL + S as we love talking about asl+s. with uta around, sanji likely thinks that all sisters are good because shes nice to him too. and how she clearly loves her brothers too. but ofc, uta surrounded by brothers while claiming to be the big sister, makes sanji incredibly jealous about their sibling relationship. it reminds him of reiju and his brothers, how they never really got along. while asul got along really well. they fight a lot but it's never with the intention to hurt each other or make the other feel worthless.
and who am i if i dont bring up sabosan at some point LOL. (also mb that this ask is so long i just love uta sm and i love aus sooo bad <<3) uta is definitely one of the first to notice her brothers' fondness of sanji. she is fond as him as well but not the same way as them lol. she tells sanji some secrets about sabo and sanji just cannot tell if shes actually serious or not because of how mischievous her smile is. and uta absolutely teases sabo about sanji, especially when hes not around like– that little song that little kids sing when it comes to someone havinf a crush.
"sabo and sanji sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g !"
and luffy definitely chimes in while sabo is beet red and begging them to shut up fkldjfldj. makino and uta Looooves gossiping about sabo and sanji. makino does ask to tone down her teasing, which she does, but she can't help but push each other's buttons.
idk theres just a lot to think about if uta was raised with asl brothers and uta growing up to be a pirate :^)
THIS IS SO CUTE !!!! Honestly, Film Red never sat right with me but not exactly because of Shanks' decision of keeping Uta. I see that pretty much in character for the guy-- What I don't like is the way they rushed the ending and the way it all ended, in general. It's just obvious they wanted to do Uta's story but in a way that didn't affect the canon and it's just- Stupid. Idk.
But let's say Shanks meets Uta and spend some years together and she does consider him her father (as I see it, because in this sibling group all of them have to have daddy issues. Except Luffy. Because more than daddy issues he just. Doesn't care-) but he leaves her with Luffy because he says it will be good for her. I think she wouldn't agree with his decision and something like in the movie would happen. Where he just... Leaves. And Uta ends up hating him or at least resenting him a bit. And it's obvious he did for her and he had good intentions but she's just a kid, so she genuinely takes it personal. So, yeah, the girl stays as Luffy's older sister, basically. At least this is how I see it.
Then Sabo and Ace appear and- It's chaotic.
Imo, she's still a diva and she still loves music because it's in her blood and also, she spent some time with Shanks so she already has a bit of her personality made. But being with them makes her learn more about protecting herself and being a bit ruthless, although I think she's more of the type to ler her brothers do the dirty work and only follow them in their shenanigans if they go "You only say that because you can't do it!!" (<- Ace, definitely) and she has to prove she can be as strong as them. So she's a diva but she's a bit more impulsive and reacts in a more violent way. Especially with food too.
I think she wouldn't get along much with Ace at first because he's a mess and she's also a mess and they're really similar when it comes to being Luffy's older siblings so they wouldn't agree on most stuff. But daddy issues are a good way of bonding and I'm pretty damn sure that if Ace ever said "Should I have been born?" in front of her, she would go insane trying to make him see that everybody deserves to live.
With Sabo, though, I think they'd get along pretty well. Sabo is still chaotic but a bit calmer than Ace and he has a strong ideology that Uta would definitely share. He wants to make a statement for freedom and Uta agrees and tbh, he's a writer and she's a singer and there's no better friendship than that one.
Her relationship with Luffy is pretty much the same, except that she now acts way more as a sister and not only as a past friend. Of course. She joins them drinking too!!
Ngl, you can hate me for this but I think the events of Red could easily happen... Again... I mean... Not exactly those events but-- Uta's dream would obviously be to reach everyone with her music. To make them feel seen and loved and making them see they should live. Because after spending so much time with her brothers, she wants to sing songs for the rest of the people that feel the same way they do. She always has them in mind when she sings and she always, always, tries to make them have fun and enjoy life. I think Uta's perception of living and freedom would clash a lot with Ace's and she'd try to make him want to live through music. Same with with freedom and Sabo/Luffy.
But then Sabo dies. And Ace dies. But Sabo comes back and-- I am sorry, and I know it partially was the mushroom's fault, but she's kind of unstable mentally (who isn't in this show tbh) and it wouldn't surprise me that her blatant optimistic views would make her want to do exactly what happens in Red again. But I think this time it should be Sabo and Luffy the ones saving her and, you know, idk, maybe Shanks is there too but this isn't about him today. Whatever. She doesn't hurt anyone and it has a good ending, but it's not the point of the post--
So Sanji is there with them! Following what we've already been saying about Sanji staying with the ASL bros but now adding Uta!!
Uta would absolutely. Adore. Sanji. He's the perfect little sibling. He's cute and knows how to cook and he's literally everything that's right in this world. She complains about Luffy crying but when Sanji does so she only says it's cute and that he deserves to cry-- Uta likes cute stuff canonically and Sanji is the cutest thing, so it makes sense. Also, Sanji just assumes every woman in the world is perfect from that very second because between his mom, Reiju and now Uta he has only had good experiences with girls. He does feel kind of left out at first remembering everything that happened with the Vinsmokes, but Uta always tries to include him in every little thing!
She really likes teasing him and Sabo, though. Uta might adore Sanji but that doesn't mean she isn't a little bit mean to him. It's obvious that they like like each other because, you know, they're kids. Look at them. It's obvious. Uta knows, Luffy knows, Ace knows... Sabo and Sanji spend so much time alone and Sabo always tries to be next to him and he looks at Sanji with like, literal heart eyes.
Uta: Do you like Sanji? Sabo: Sanji? No. No. No. Sanji's just a friend... Uta: Why are your eyes shaped like hearts? Sabo: Allergies...
Uta is an artist. A singer. She's 100% a hopeless romantic. I will die on this hill. So while Ace is extremely "ughhhh" *disgusted noises* by Sanji and Sabo's flirting and Luffy couldn't care less (he just likes teasing them because it's fun to see them panicking), Uta tries HARD to get them together. They're listening to her songs? She will sing a romantic one. They're alone? She will gently push one of them closer to the other. They eat spaghetti once and she goes all the way to try to do the thing where they eat the same one so they kiss. Etc etc etc. She won't stop being a little brat about it too, teasing both of them. And it's driving Sabo crazy. Makino asks Uta about the kids because she knows the girl is as invested as her in the relationship. Funniest thing in the world.
Now I can't stop thinking about them spearating when Sabo dies, following what we said etc etc etc And Uta becomes a famous singer. She doesn't kill anybody, okay? Let's leave it on her just- Doing a huge concert. Sanji and Sabo have already reunited but please, imagine these two not dating just yet. They're in love and pining but not dating. Everyone hates it. And then Sabo joins them for the concert, ofc, and when Uta sees them again (and sees Sabo is alive?? Because what the fuck why didn't they tell her???) one of the first thing she says is "Okay, okay... So you two are... You know?" and they don't understand what she's saying but literally all the crew is like "They're still pining. Please. It's awful". Girl makes it everyone's problem so she does this kiss cam thing to get them together finally. Like I said, good ending.
