it is, i think, symptomatic of the way larian has built this brand: bg3 was always marketed as being mature (read: sexual), and that was one of the big draws for players - myself included! especially as media pulls more towards extremes, with mainstream video games starting to get increasingly graphically sexual, graphically violent, and the vogue for 'grey morality' becomes the norm, those boundaries get pushed, and it becomes more and more of a selling point.
larian obviously focused on this, along with the How Do You Do, Fellow Kids brand, the increased accessibility of game devs on twitter, and adopted it heavily into their marketing strategy, and are now pretty reliant on the horny gamer crowd for a lot of their audience, and more importantly, they're doing this on purpose.
which is how you end up in situations like this.
characters (white men) the players want to fuck get centred: they get updates, they get more content, they get favoured. halsin's gone from a side character in EA to a half-fledged romance option, to a full romance option: he shows up in the promotional material, is larian's poster boy for the sex scenes, he gets more content with every update.
now gortash gets more heavily implied situationship lines with the dark urge, because players are horny for him. nevermind that some people aren't playing that way, or that he was originally set up to be a lower-level antagonist; nevermind that if the durge's storyline needed expansion, it should've been with orin and sarevok and bhaal, or that it muddies the writing for the rest of gortash's arc + characterisation: people want to fuck him, so it gets put in the game. it's not even to do with karlach, whose quest so desperately needs expansion! it's specifically catering to the people who want their character to have a Relationship with the slaver, because they're either not interested in or not able to focus on strengthening the weak spots in the narrative: they're just doing things that will net the 'my favourite dating sim' people lmfao.
meanwhile, literal main character wyll gets his quest demoted to a subquest, doesn't get bugfixes, doesn't get a single unique romance greeting after 6 patches and months of requests. he's not a Horny character, so he doesn't get the focus: he's not a player favourite, so he gets nothing. it's just... so unbelievably, indisputably racist, and it's incredibly grim and disappointing to watch it happen in real-time.

I have a mental image of this round table of ppl who want to get me to off myself in the way that's funniest to them and I want to draw it
#*someone says something hella insensitive to me*#*someone else does it but less bad so i forgive them publicly*#*mention that i want to die*#*sudden and intense slew of known triggering content thrown at me and people being just generally mean and rude*#like yes conspiracies are rare its unlikely thats the case but you see where im coming from right?#i show any form of weakness that even MIGHT be genuine and suddenly theyre on me like flies to rot#suddenly EVERYONE wants to remind me they're taller and stronger and more man than me#suddenly EVERYONE wants to act vaguely patronizing rude or nosy#like. is it such a wild leap to go. yeah somethings up this is a bunch of really synergistic coincidences together#maybe the universe is telling me to uninstall all my socials#OR maybe theres just some big group chat of ppl that are like 'i wanna see Anouther kill hymself'#whatever maybe ill do a livestream and coinflip for my fate and see who shows up and how they react#it would be funny. like haha gotcha i fucking knew it BITCH#ik im not very important but i am very good at making people hate me intensely for no direct reason#i think im just sorta polarizing bc im loud ab what i believe in and feel and ppl dont like that#but at the end of the day i am me and they are a shell of a soul who subsists on the joy of nonconsensually trying to hurt others#so i think i actually dont feel that threatened by people like that. 'haters' colloquially.#i think im just angry and disappointed in humanity as a collective for producing this kind of behaviour#i think i will calm down and see that i have a clear path to move past that anger and make fun of those who hate me

i was smeared on twitter! xD
This morning, I was delighted with a series of fascinating screenshots.
I'm being smeared on Twitter! By someone I don't know, who hasn't even read Lover's Spit, because I do not want to spoil aspects of my own fic.
Tumblr media
And it didn't stop there, friends!
Obviously you can tell by the "18 Likes" there were at least 19 people outing themselves as haters. 😔
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let's be clear: if you're twiggered 👉👈 by seeing Tom Riddle bottom, block me and move on
Not because I'm out here publishing smut left and right (I'm not even a smut writer), but because there is absolutely no way you could possibly enjoy my content if you're a fixed shipper.
Is it about who tops and who bottoms? I don't know. Really, at least half of the time, I prefer top!Tom. My enjoyment of a fic is not contingent on whether one character or the other gets dicked down. Of my top favorite fanfics that I can think of offhand, Tom doesn't even bottom in any of them.
That said—I am drawn to stories where Tom Riddle is in a central role, and nobody fixated on bottom!Harry could ever possibly deliver. So yeah please go ahead and block me. ಠ_ಠ
Also, the accusation that I "want engagement" is goofy
If I was driven by engagement, the fic would be straightforwardly on the Top Tom tag, feature a lot of smut, and probably have twice as many hits.
I don't write for engagement; of the 6 fics I have published, 2 are rated G and only half of them even have ship tags at all.
And regarding Lover's Spit specifically, it would absolutely spoil the story if I went on Tumblr rambling about how they're going to fuck. I have more respect for the lovely people who read the story as it is than random potential readers who feel they cannot engage with a story on the off chance their t/b preferences aren't met after 150K of non-smut content.
Yes, fixed shipping preferences can be sexist and homophobic
If your preferences are informed by your belief that Tom Riddle is "too powerful" to ever bottom (!!!) and "submit" to Harry, you're embarrassing and regressive.
You're tacitly admitting that women—that people without penises—are fixed in a state of submission; and you're also insinuating the same of gay men who prefer to bottom.
Sex is a lot of things - not just a power exchange. Sex, as I see it, is about intimacy, vulnerability, and expressing love. That is how I write it, and why I do not want to share "spoilers" about how sex will play out in my fic.
Ultimately this slander is just the product of entitlement
Though Lover's Spit has a lovely, inspiring, and engaged bevy of readers, it is by no means a popular fic. It's a wee little niche fic.
I can see no reason why someone would bother publicly slandering me except that they're just deeply entitled and butt-hurt that I'm not complying to their whims, even though I am a teensy weensy small-time fic writer with no following whatsoever. It's so batshit.
If fixed shipping matters to you, block writers who don't tag. Simple as that.
Anything you'd like to add my dear @k3uuu?

Doc wakes up slowly. He's had a lovely night of sleep, cozy in bed, dreaming of fantastical misuses of withers. Hotguy gave him an autograph and personally thanked him for finally blowing up Scarland's sound system and getting one over on anyone who might make a button. For some reason, Scar's alien from season six was also there, and then it exploded. That was pretty great too. And everyone had clapped for him, and told him he was the best, most important creeper in the world, and that all of his enemies were just haters, and that they would absolutely listen to all of his opinions, which were perfect, always. And they covered the Hermitcraft server in fresh, ripened tomatoes, and everyone helped him garden them.
It really was a lovely dream. He didn't particularly want to wake up, except perhaps to tell everyone about all of the aforementioned perfect opinions. But alas, even after a perfect, lovely, cozy night of sleep, mad doctors must wake up--
--and scream, as a menacing figure holding a knife looms over his bed. He throws a punch at whoever the person is before thinking and hisses, overestimating his strength and knocking them over. He scrambles for his light.
"Owww," says someone from the floor. Wait.
Doc peers over the edge of his bed. "Grian? What on earth are you doing, man?"
"Almost falling on my knife. You know, this is harder than I thought it would be," Grian says. He is holding his knife in one hand and cradling his now very crooked, bleeding nose with the other. Doc would feel bad, but... ehhh, it's Grian. Who had been standing over his bed with a knife. He probably deserved it for... something or other, Doc'll figure it out.
"You need help?" Doc asks.
"Right. No. Let's get back to this," Grian says, standing up and brandishing the knife again. The effect is much less frightening now that the lights are on, there's blood dripping down the front of Grian's sweater, and it's clear Grian is a bit uncertain of how to look intimidating. "I need you to know Mumbo only has one best friend."
Doc blinks.
"...okay, man?" Doc says.
"What?" Grian says.
"Yeah, like, I don't know what you're talking about. Mumbo and I sometimes talk about redstone, but--"
"You talk about redstone? How dare you! Mumbo is mine, you hear? Mine!"
Doc blinks again, slower. He considers pinching himself. This would be an odd addition to an otherwise lovely, perfect dream, but dreams can become weird nightmares pretty quickly, you know? That would explain why Grian's doing whatever this is.
"I mean, I don't know, he normally comes to me about it?" Doc says.
"Cheater..." Grian says.
"What?" Doc says.
"I can't believe you two! Guh! That was my offended noise!" Grian says.
"Look, uh, I don't really understand what you're doing here man--"
"I'm warning you off of Mumbo! I heard around the block you're his best friend now, so I'm going to kill you now unless you stop that."
Doc squints. "With the knife?" he asks.
"Yes, with the knife!"
"And why am I his best friend?" Doc asks.
"You got the crown! Mumbo said whoever got the purple crown would be his best friend! That's not allowed, only I'm allowed to be his best friend! So I'm, I'm being all threatening! And stuff! Please tell me I'm being threatening," Grian says. "It's been a while since I had to do something like this, I'm modeling off of a different guy I knew, but you know, it's very important to me that you're warned off properly! So there!"
Doc looks at Grian for a while.
"Yeah, uh, man, sure. I'm... really threatened," he says.
"Really?" Grian says.
"Yeah. Really. Very threatened. Hey, uh, my elevator buttons are Grian-proof, supposedly, but I don't know if--"
"Are you--are you trying to distract me by offering me buttons? I'll have you know that doesn't work anymore! Not when it comes to Mumbo!" Grian says. "Although. Hypothetically. If you were telling me there were buttons I could press that you think wouldn't have consequences no matter what I did. That sounds like a challenge."
"Yeah, man, I mean, uh. No. Don't press my buttons--"
"Gotta go bye," Grian says, very quickly, and he shoots out of Doc's bedroom. Doc stares after him through the door.
"I'm going back to fucking bed," Doc says, because frankly, this has convinced him he doesn't need to be awake. And also a security system. A security system that can roast pesky birds. He's sure he can come up with something. Mm. Roast bird. He falls back asleep, vaguely convinced he'd dreamed up the whole incident.
(In the morning, he finds a very grumpy Grian stuck in his elevator. Well. He supposes having to fix it is worth the expression on Grian's face there.)

a petty wife (original form!sukuna x reader)
WARNINGS: Murder, baby trapping (not Y/N’s doing), mistaken adultery
Ryomen Sukuna was a deviant who conquered a quarter of old Japan, he was the demon feared by the Emperor himself, and he was the master of mortals and curses alike. He was renowned throughout the land as someone who took pleasure in punishing the pettiest offense–from a soldier daring to speak out of turn to a lowly maid meeting his eyes without permission. Cruelty unbridled, the man couldn’t even be considered human anymore.
This monster who had over a thousand soldiers at his beck and call, who had hundreds of powerful slaves licking at his feet, was currently tailing his wife with a branch blooming with fresh cherry blossoms. A train of pink petals fell behind him with each antsy step forward.
The servants-in-training watched from a distance.
Seeing their seven-foot-tall master seemingly struggling to keep up with the mistress of the house was a hilarious sight to behold, but they were more baffled than anything else.
 “What’s happening?” A newbie asked.
The eldest in the group answered as they resumed sweeping the ground, “It seems that the madam is upset with Lord Sukuna.”
It wasn’t that he couldn’t keep up with your steps, it’s that he knew better than to walk next to you when you couldn’t even bring yourself to meet his eyes, so Ryomen had no choice but to slow down his steps as he did his best to coax you to speak with him–
“How many times must I plead innocent?”
“...”
“Because I am innocent.”
“...”
“Love?”
“...”
“What do you want me to do? Do you want me to kill her?”
You flung your body around, accusing finger pointing at him. “This isn’t about her and you know it.”
“My love–”
“Hmph!” With a huff, you crossed your arms and spun around. Of course, you knew he was innocent. If there was one thing you knew for sure in this life was that your husband, king and conqueror, would cut down an entire mountain to build you a palace before he would betray your trust. But you despised how many times different women tried to seduce him–and the gall of others to claim that they succeeded! Inconceivable.
And he seemed to revel in your shock. Every. Single. Time.
Unforgivable!
He sighed and two free hands carefully reached for your shoulders. “Darling,” he cooed, rubbing circles over your clothed skin. “What can I do to make you feel better?”
“...Stop being charming.”
He let out a ha! but quickly cleared his throat, withering under your glare.
“I’ll do my best.” He nodded.
You sighed and finally unlocked your arms.
Smiling, Ryomen tenderly turned you around before lowering the sakura branch to you. “Do you still want me to kill her?”
Without saying a word, you plucked a single blossom from the branch before giving him a soft smile.
He grinned and leaned down to press his lips on yours.
extra
“Is this proof enough for you?” Ryomen asked, pulling back his claws.
You really didn’t need confirmation, and yet there was a joy in seeing the wench unmoving on the floor as you peered down into her torn torso. Despite her ridiculous claims, her abdomen was empty of life. Not that it would have mattered.
With you as an exception, Ryo-chan wasn’t fond of anything or anyone. He was an equal-opportunity hater who did not discriminate in his hurting. On the other hand, while you didn’t hate children, you weren’t particularly attached to them either. Whatever was inside her would’ve been gotten rid of immediately by your husband for fear of pissing you off.
You sighed and went to embrace him, who raised two of his arms, careful not to get any blood on your new kimono. “Yes, yes, I’m sorry for doubting you. Kiss?”
He leaned down to meet your puckered mouth before embracing you with his lower set of arms. You glanced over his broad back and at the body on the ground.
Smiling quietly, you wondered where to hang this one.
A/N: It feels weird addressing Sukuna as Ryomen, but it would be a lot more peculiar for the love of his life to call him by any other name.
Also, I feel like for Y/N to be in a “healthy” relationship with the likes of Ryomen Sukuna, they’d have to have a rather abnormal sense of right and wrong. Forget black and white, we’re talking blue and orange morality here.

i rewatched s7e3 and the weird sort of straight washing that happened with unity was worse than i realized in my first 1 and a half viewings. so im here to be a little bit more of a hater lol.
okay so like fuck this bitch in particular
Tumblr media
now, i understand that unity has appeared in the comics which i haven't read so it's possible there's some lore there that idk about, but here's the deal as i understand it and why this specific alien acting like the face of unity bugs me so much. this alien is part of a species that, as of the episode in season 2, was very recently assimilated by unity. so like im not sure why there's so much focus placed on her specifically. having her act as a representative of sorts made sense in the first episode, she was a president on the newly assimilated planet that rick and the kids were visiting. but like, that's it, right? it doesn't make sense to me why she would be any more important than any of the other, what? trillions of life forms unity has under its belt? like the only reason for her to be here at all is to be recognizable to the audience, which like, fine. i think it's a little dumb, but whatever. the problem isn't having her as a symbol (personally i think it'd be cooler to not have an entity like unity tied down to being primarily represented through one body but i digress), the problem is that she's treated like more than that in this episode.
this is a part i didn't notice until my rewatch that really irked me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
these are concurrent shots from the scene when rick shows up and starts spraying unity. we see it in virginia telling rick to take it easy through the body of this human, then we see it continuing the conversation from its spaceship in the body of the alien. i am like super not a fan of the implications of that. this alien is not supposed to be unity any more than any one of my cells is me, but here it's depicted as though whenever unity does something in any of its bodies, it's coming from this lady. and like, that'd be super lame even if it wasn't an obvious womanification of a nongendered entity.
now im no english major so i don't have an elegant transition to put here, but yes, it is time to talk about pronouns. yeah yeah, ik, trans person gets hung up on pronouns, bite me okay, it's relevant. i went back and watched the first unity episode to be sure id remembered correctly, and yes, in that episode nobody uses gendered pronouns for unity. morty says "they" which seems more to be referring to a number of bodies, and other than that, people mostly say "unity" or "it". as for the new episode i noticed rick using nongendered pronouns twice
Tumblr media Tumblr media
but after that he goes with she/her for the rest of the episode
Tumblr media Tumblr media
and yeah, i think that is pretty disappointing. i didn't catch that "it" until my rewatch, but the use of "them" did make me really happy but then everybody started she/hering it. the combination of all that emphasis being put on a female body and people calling unity she so much makes for an episode that manages to be significantly less queer than the one that came out in 2015. it feels weirdly cowardly after that "we're all a little gay" bit in the last episode and doesn't inspire much confidence in me regarding rick's relationships with nonwomen. like stuff can be gay if it's for a joke, but there's more money on the line now than back in season 2, so rick's ex lover needed straightening up.
idk. i still like the episode because im easy and focusing on rick's mental health and relationships always makes me happy, but man, i am certainly not happy with how they handled unity. they really did it dirty, watered it down to being pretty much just another alien lady.
(also to be clear, i am not trying to shit on the writers here. obviously idk exactly what went on, but im pretty comfortable placing the blame squarely on execs)

Can I pretty pls have a 90's edge x Fem reader where some people are scared of him but when he talks to the reader she says "You don't scare me" and it leads to fluffy with a kiss? Love your writing! 🥺
A NEWFOUND LOVE
(The Brood!Edge x Y/N)
“Um..excuse me?” A soft voice and a gentle tap on the shoulder brought Edge out of his conversation with Christian, making him turn around to find one of the new talents, Y/N. Eyes wide and unused to people approaching him and Christian, Edge was able to stutter out a yes with wide eyes.
“Sorry, I just can’t find the merch staff, I was supposed to grab a shirt from them. Do you know where they are?” No fear was clear in the voice or face, only confusion.
“I think um, I think they should be over that way.” Stuttering through his response, he quickly pointed down the hallway.
“Oh, okay, thank you! Sorry for bothering you.” Y/N took a few steps back, thinking the conversation was over before Edge had a chance to respond.
“No problem, we’re just not really all that, all that used to people..not being scared by us, I guess.” He chuckled awkwardly while he and Christian watched as their eyebrows crinkled with confusion and were quick to ask why.
“The whole Brood gimmick makes us a lot more intimidating than what we are.” Christian was quick to explain from next to Edge, a grin growing on both of their features.
“Yeah, what he said. I promise we’re not scary.”
“Well if it makes you feel any better, I don’t think you’re intimidating at all! Actually, you’re quite nice. And pretty. Anyways, I gotta go find these guys, but thanks for all the help!” Before Edge had the chance to do anything but blush from their compliments, they were quickly leaving.
—————
“Hey, Edge! ‘Scuse me, Edge!” Y/N yelled through the overcrowded gorilla, shoving their way over to The Brood who had just finished a match. Edge stumbled around at the sound of them but he was unable to make out their voice in the crowd, so instead, he grabbed Y/N’s hand and pulled them along. After making it to the trio's locker room, Gangrel and Christian were quick to leave the two outside the door.
“I just wanted to say that I met a lot of people today, and you were probably the nicest to me, so I just wanted to say thanks again.” Y/N’s praise put the grin and blush back onto his face.
“Oh! Nothing to thank me for, but you’re welcome. And, um, I think you’re pretty too.” Edge’s comments made Y/N equally as giddy as the big, blushing man inches away from them.
“You’re getting a lot of thanks out of me today, huh? Maybe I could..maybe I could thank you in a different way?” Y/N’s voice turned into a soft whisper as they moved in closer, heat creeping through both as they stood in the door way. Edge nodded his head, unable to find words.
Y/N moved in even closer, noses nudging and eyes meeting. Their hand moved to the back of his neck, his own coming to tangle with theirs, lips finding the soft skin of his cheek before they barely pulled away, noses still brushing.
“I got a ride with Trish, so I gotta go, but maybe we could meet up on Sunday after Heat?” They still whispered, fingers fiddling in his hold and giving his a quick squeeze, while the two grinned, ear to ear.
“Yeah. Yeah, that would be really nice.”
Tumblr media

Answering asks below
Tumblr media
Hi! I am, thank you!
Aw thank you for saying I’m objective, I do try 😅
You’ve complimented me so much my day just became even better that’s for sure!
So apparently well known stalkers were at the press night - which would explain why DT and GT didn’t show up and MS quickly left too. Whether that was the reason they didn’t show up I obviously can’t confirm but it sounds like a decent excuse if it’s true. There had to be a decent reason because David wouldn’t be showing his love on the opening night and on the press night if they didn’t show up because they didn’t care or whatever - I mean I’m sure even haters wouldn’t think that lmao. Or maybe it was something simple like sickness in family or he was doing something for work. Don’t know. Wouldn’t worry about it tbf.
I have a feeling that the day David took a selfie in front of the poster at the theatre, he went to see the final rehearsal before the big night. We know he was there for Michael which was sweet. Somehow more than going to the press night if I’m honest…
He will probably officially see it on another day.
Tumblr media
I think it’s projecting and being so deep in their made up fantasy that they actually rejected the actual canon and made up their own and they believe it’s the true one. I have never ever been in a fandom that completely disregarded the canon. It’s like the fandom had a collective lobotomy.
I don’t want to be part of it. It was awesome at the beginning when people were normal but now it just upsets me. I hate seeing Crowley being reduced to nothing by this fandom because they have a need to make Aziraphale something he’s never shown to be. Plus I don’t think that majority of people are even aware how normal healthy relationships look like anymore. Both characters have been made the opposite of what they have shown to be over two seasons and on top of it made the extreme. It is just so striking because I’ve never ever witnessed before someone completely ignoring everything about characters and obsessing over 1 second scene and basing the whole personality of a character on it. What the fuck happened. Especially since the characters are so bloody good the way they are but the fandom just shat on it all.
The objectification and extreme sexualisation obsession is giving me creeps too. Especially with taking a character like Crowley who’s shown to escaping psychopaths who control people yet forcing him into a fucked up relationship, objectifying him, and reducing to nothing, making him brainless and dependant, and saying he’d love that. And making a fuck up out of Aziraphale too who’d love to do that to him and have a need to be a creep like that. Seriously fuck off. Nothing gave me bigger creeps in this fandom. How do people miss the point of the show so badly is beyond me. How do people see a character and make him the absolute opposite of what he’s shown to be is beyond me too.
I can’t rewatch the show at the moment because I watch scenes and wince what the fandom did with them. I hope that I disassociated enough that by the time S3 comes I won’t remember the sick theories and I will watch in peace with a clear mind just like I watched S2.
I definitely won’t be here to see what people thought about it to not ruin it for me again 🤣
Tumblr media
If NG puts these two in the show, nobody will even notice them apart from fans obsessed with DT’s wife and MS’s female partner. And yes their fans will care more about that than everything else or pretend that online. But the 90% that remains will only care about the story and Michael and David.
It would be a turn off for me too but you know what I’ve been thinking - why worry about it? It’s years away. Maybe we won’t give a crap about GO by then because our lives will completely change, or the show will never actually be finished, or their scenes will be cut out, or they won’t actually be in it, or… there is literally zero point worrying about this, honestly.
I don’t trust Neil 😂
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hope that things aren’t as bad as they look because I’d question why dude kept on knocking her up if he’s as unhappy as he likes to show sometimes or with the songs he always chooses for them.
I hope that whenever she’s being humiliating or snarky or tries to put him down, or tries to make his accomplishments about herself, he thinks about being a national treasure with massive accomplishments on his back after having zero privilege, while she was born with privilege and had everything handed on a plate and yet she accomplished nothing apart from scoring a man, by getting pregnant on a one night stand and stalking him, who will need to support her until the end and she’s dependant on that. So what she was rich then when now he’s rich and she’s dependant on his money. His recent inserts about her felt so rehearsed and forced it was borderline sad. If he felt them they’d feel genuine so I think he knows what the truth is.
Her attitude only highlights her insecurity. Insecure and unhappy people bring others down instead of being happy for them. To have so much privilege and do nothing with it, yet try to put down the person who started as normal people do and accomplished so much through his hard work… girl please. Don’t be lame.
I hope he thinks of Michael Sheen who can’t wait to go on the radio to say how amazing he was and how good he looked in a kilt, who records himself going off about how hot David is and what a fantastic actor he is, and how he sometimes forgets his lines because he’s so lost in his performance, how he is his favourite actor, how he loves him and adores him and it’s so clear even just on his face. How he doesn’t shut up about David and needs barely a prompt to go off about his love for him. Who puts him on pedestal and shows him off and especially when it’s his big day. And seeing DT’s confidence skyrocketing… yeah I think he’s noticing and it’s working. And MS is someone on his level who understands the work DT does so his words have a bit more importance behind them…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think everything you read online or anywhere really, you need to take it with a grain of salt and it applies to this article too.
Generally people didn’t scream “bullshit” at this article because GT herself admitted to stalking DT until he gave him and it’s not a secret that she got knocked up on a one night stand and they got married because of that.
There were many rumours regarding their open marriage and her trying to obsessively control media and succeeding a lot. If you care to dig it’s all there.
But conclusion is up to you as always.

Leona's Ending
here is leona's ending for Phantom of Twisted Wonderland! I am a leona hater so i pushed myself to write it decently long enough for you Leona Stans out there.
Chapter One, Chapter Two, Chapter Three, Chapter Four, Chapter Five, Chapter Six, Leona's Ending(You are here!), Malleus' Ending
Leona was always a fast runner, when he really actually sets his mind to something, he is eager to get it. Being a lion himself also helped him jump over obstacles in their way and scale walls with his sharp nails. He needs to get to you again, faster than this dumb lizard. He wasn't about to lose you again to the Phantom that he fought so hard to protect you from. Scaling a wall very quickly, teeth bared as he jumped into the corridor and started dashing down the hallway as he knew Malleus was far behind him due to him cheating and climbing.
It wasn't long before he busted through the doors of the infirmary and slammed them shut so that a pesky lizard couldn't find his way in. Seeing Jack and Ruggie guarding your form as they welcomed him openly and opening up a space for him to come and see you. Brushing some hair out from your face, he made sure to be gentle with your state right now. Afterall, you were the most affected out of everyone from the book.
“They have been moving and twitching here and there, also crying sir.” Jack stated out, as if reporting to a general in the middle of a war. Leona could only sigh as he nodded his head and dismissed the two of them out from the infirmary. He needed to be alone with you right now, no lizards and no lackeys allowed. Letting a small sound akin to a chuff, he grabbed your hand and gently squeezed as he waited for your eyes to open.
It wasn't long into later that day that he had fallen asleep by your bedside, still gripping onto your hand without much of a complaint. Although, if someone saw him in this state, he would be embarrassed and probably brush you off which is something you definitely do not need right now as he waited for you to wake up within your dreamland while he was in the midst of his own. He woke up immediately feeling you shift in the bed while gripping his hand got tighter. Tired emerald eyes flicking up to meet your own as he seemed a little more alert at seeing your eyes open and staring down at him.
“You’re awake.” / “You’re here.” You both spoke at the same time, only for you to pause as you looked at Leona expectantly. He seemed to notice that you were just waiting for him to speak as he sat up slowly, yawned and stretched before sighing loudly. Yet he didn't speak, he didn't dare say a word when you could be the first to say how awful he was. How could he say anything after being stuck in that damn book and practically pouring his soul out to you?
“Do you mean it?” You asked out softly, still gripping his hand tightly as you looked down at his form. His ear could only flick in irritation as he looked up at you with a small chuff coming from his throat, a confirmation of ‘yes’ in his own lion way.
“Depends on what you mean by; Do you mean it.” Leona stated out roughly as he squeezed your hand tightly. “Do you love me.” Your voice was calm as if the calm before the storm. It wasn't even a question but more of a statement that he could neither deny or object to. Another chuff coming from Leona as he looked away for a second, irritated that he would have to even voice it out.
It wasnt until you began to slide your hand away from his own that he gripped onto it tighter and sighed loudly. “You’re so pesky, herbivore. Of course I do. If I didnt, why the hell would I have even gone into that dumb book.” Leona grumbled out as he finally locked eyes with you once more. You were at a loss of words before clearing your throat slightly.
“Then would you be mad if I asked to go on a date with you?” You asked out slowly, carefully choosing your words to the lazy lion and he rolled his eyes. How stupid of you to even ask!
“Did you forget that we got engaged in that book? Call me your fiance, Y/n.” Leona’s words struck a chord in you as your face slowly became more flushed at the idea of having Leona as a husband. Especially so quickly.
“But we havent even gone on a date!” You retorted out quickly, only for Leona to roll his eyes and sigh. “Fine. I’ll get Ruggie to bring in food for us to eat in here, consider that a date and then we can nap, call that a second date, and now we are engaged.” Leona stated out cooly, finding it hilarious at how red your face is becoming just because of his attitude.
And he did just that, Ruggie was not so happy to have to give away two expensive take out plates to Leona and you while he scampered off to go do something else that wasn't to eat whatever Leona had ordered the both of you. As you two ate, Leona kept stealing glances at you to make sure you were doing okay before letting out a drawled sigh, which caused you to look up confused before tilting your head.
“Whats the matter Leona?”
“You probably want something sappy from me, dont you.”
It didnt take you a second to even think about it. You did want this pride driven lion to do something sappy for you. With a nod of your head, Leona could only growl before shaking his head. He would do anything just to have you by his side, including lowering his pride just to do this last thing for you.
“Say you’ll share each day, each night, each morning. Say the word and I will follow you.” Leona began to sing out softly to you, only loud enough for you to hear, in which you could only smile.
“Say you love me.” You whispered back as you leaned down to the pesky Lion laying across your lap.
“You know I do…” Leona stated out as he leaned upwards to capture your lips into a kiss. His hands cupping your cheeks as he let out a few throaty chuffs just to show you how happy he was to be receiving such a kiss like this. As you two slowly parted, you two could only stare at each other with love in your eyes with a small smirk of victory written all over Leona’s face.
Love me, that's all I ask of you.

Ok, so quick question fellow HH fans. What is Velvet supposed to be based off exactly, like her theme? Yes, I know she was a maid cosplayer in her earlier design but they kinda got rid of that.
Edit: I saw someone say she is a clown/jester which I think is pretty cool ngl.
Tumblr media
Valentino is very clearly based off a moth with his fluff and wings and its obvious he is the porn overlord with his pimp fit. The moth theme is quite clever given how irl moths emit pheromones during sex to make it more inticing. His red and white color pallet gets this across as well.
Vox likewise has a tv head and Wi-Fi symbols, blatantly signalling what he has power over along with an electric themed color pallet. The more subtle shark theming with his lair and coat tail shape is a nod to the sin of greed given how shark demons come from the greed ring(helluva boss). His wardrobe being a parallel to Alastor (which I made a post about) and theming makes it clear what he is all about even if it’s nor 100% original (if it ain’t broke don’t fix it)
The character designs, despite all the bashing from haters of Vivzies art style get their point across which is the most important role of character design.
Velvet on the other hand, I am not so sure. If she is based off an animal, idk what she is. Looking at her upfront, you can get the idea that she is an edgy bitch. The only thing she kinda has to play into her social media stuff is the hearts on her vest(?) and the constantly changing hairstyle and scene kid outfit. If I had no prior info, I would think she was Valentinos evil assistant with the repeating heart theme or Val and Vox’s love child incarnate. She doesn’t give Social Media overlord on her own.
I did notice she had a line that is perpendicular to her lips that gives her a doll like appearance which could play into the social media perfection angle but nothing else from her current design seems to go along with this theme.
Now, I have my gripes with a certain genre of character redesigns(the ones who in bad faith trash the originals and try to “fix it” by making the exact same mistakes in their improved one) but if I had to redesign her, I would give her a clear theme.
You could lean into an ocean theme based off internet lingo like “surfing the net” and how the Envy ring in helluva boss is speculated to have a deep sea theme and be ruled over by leviathan(if you like the theory that sinner’s demon form takes inspo from the native born demons that originated from the ring of hell their corresponding vice they most indulged in their earthly life was.). Or perhaps a cat theme given how ubiquitous they are in the early internet, social media and memes.
Perhaps instead of hearts, Vivzie could of used thumbs up, which on social media is an almost universally understood symbol. Maybe more phone or app based iconagraphy(copyright free of course)
Maybe a color pallet that looks less like a blend of Vox and Val’s color pallet that could stand on its own. I think keeping red would be a good call given how vox and Val also have that color, which would unify them as a trio. She has a tendency to blend into the background given how her pallet is both muted(the reddish looking color) and neutral (white and grey)
Idk, I am not expert on this stuff but that’s just what I see.

A word on the politics
I decided to pull this out into a separate post from the one about GG and DD and queer representation, because it's long-winded and somewhat off-topic. It also complicates my ability to properly categorize the post.
This is part two of a post about GGDD and queer politics. Part 1 can be found here.
I want to talk a bit about the broader political values that are often connected to these types of issues. First and foremost I want to make it clear:
Hate does not come from the people being hated or from anything about their behavior, it comes from inside the hater.
As I am constantly saying, everything we say, do and think can only ever be a reflection of ourselves - it can never be a reflection of anyone else. Even when we’re talking about someone else, everything we say comes from our own values, experience, perspective, etc.
So when haters speak ill of someone or something, everything they say comes from inside of themselves. It’s got nothing to do with the topic they think they’re bitching about. That’s how people end up telling on themselves - by showing what’s inside them, and showing how poorly tended and rotten they’ve let their hearts and minds become. How little interior work they’ve done.
Make no mistake about it, when someone piles hate onto a targeted or marginalized group, they’re choosing to do so because of the hate that lives in their hearts (and yes, many religious groups are deeply hateful). Nothing marginalized and targeted groups say or do will take away that hate or stop the attacks. The only ones with any power to stop that hate and those attacks are the haters themselves.
Tone policing is a tool of oppression
The idea that someone who is being oppressed should be 'nicer’ or more 'delicate’ when speaking out against that oppression - that’s what’s known as 'tone policing’.
Tone policing is a tool of oppression. It is one of the many ways that people in positions of power ensure that marginalized and targeted groups are kept 'in their place’. Focusing on the tone of a message rather than the message itself prevents the deeper issues and oppression from being addressed.
Tone policing is when someone (usually a privileged person) in a conversation about oppression shifts the conversation from the oppression being discussed to the way it is being discussed. Tone policing prioritizes the comfort of the privileged person in the situation over the oppression of the disadvantaged person. - Ijeoma Oluo
Tone policing is a power grab that automatically gives the oppressor the upper hand in any exchange, because it creates a perception that the more reasonable party is the one that is able to remain more emotionally detached. The people being oppressed - the ones crying out in anger or in pain - take on the appearance of unreasonableness due to their inability to remain calm.
The tone of the discussion is framed as more important than the oppression itself, which further marginalizes the issues the targeted group is trying to bring attention to.
All of this is about conformity. This is at the root of all of it. The belief that there is a right way and a wrong way to be and live, that we must all adhere to that path if we want to have any hope of being accepted and acceptable. You can only ever be on the inside or on the outside. If you happen to be on the outside, you are the enemy.
How convenient for the oppressor. If you’re an outsider you’re the enemy, and yet it’s the oppressors who get to decide who is an outsider and who isn’t.
This is the bottom line of all queer activism (and really any activism). People in power use their power to set the terms of engagement in a situation, and then they use those terms to perpetuate oppression on targeted minorities.
So if our reaction to someone’s unrest over the oppression they’re experiencing is to think that they should calm down, or to think that if they were a bit 'nicer’ their message would be better received, we should ask ourselves some tough questions about our role in the situation, our relationship to power and what we stand to gain by shutting that person up.
Are we trying to save our own asses by aligning ourselves with the more powerful side? Trying to avoid sticking our necks out by showing our allegiance certain social norms? In what ways do we benefit by keeping things the way they are?
Status quo people have a tendency to attribute the maltreatment a targeted minority receives to something that minority said or did, or to their general existence, rather than to the oppressors who are harming them. This is a very commonplace reaction.
There are some complex reasons for this, but in the end it more or less boils down to the status/importance that is attributed to various classes of people, and who is considered the protagonist of a situation vs who is labelled as the antagonist. Whose needs tend to be accommodated by society, and whose needs tend to be deemed unimportant, or even harmful.
[TW/CW discussion of racism and sexual assault in the next few paragraphs - skip the indented portion below if those topics are sensitive for you]
For example, in all but the most progressive of spaces, when a person of color points out that a remark someone made is racist, 9 times out of 10 the room will rally around the person making the racist comment, saying, “He didn’t mean it that way!” “Joe’s not a racist, how can you accuse him of being a racist!?” etc. etc. rather than rallying around the person experiencing racism. That’s just the state of social power in the world. 'Calling someone a racist’ (otherwise known as 'simply pointing out racism’) is widely considered a much worse crime than doing or saying racist things. This helps maintain the status quo, and ensures the unfair power dynamics remain in place. Change can’t happen if the things that need changing can never be reasonably addressed and critiqued. If a woman is raped, quite often the first thing people want to know is what she did to make it happen. Was she drinking? Was she out alone at night? What was she wearing? Did she fight back and scream for help, or 'just allow it to happen’? These reflect common rape myths, and in societies where men are given more status than women (basically all societies on the planet), people are going to place the blame for a man’s bad behavior on the woman he’s harmed rather than face the tough reality that their culture facilitates harm. 'Accusing someone of sexual assault’ (otherwise known as 'simply seeking justice’) is often treated with more suspicion and skepticism than being accused of sexual assault. The default is to assume the person in the higher status position is the real victim. The default is to assume that woman is seeking revenge on him or trying to get money or attention rather than to accept the possibility he really did assault her. Incidentally, this misogyny has serious implications for male accusers in high profile sexual assault cases as well. The whole Kevin Spacey thing shows just how far away we are from a world where men can be taken seriously as victims. More than 30 men came forward with allegations against him (including a mother who accused him of assaulting her teenage son), and he was acquitted of all charges by a fucking jury. Even in situations where men are convicted of sexual assault, they’re often given light sentences because the consequences of a heavier sentence on their lives and well-being are deemed more important and worthy of concern than the irrevocable consequences of their actions upon the lives of their victims. An example is the case of a Stanford athlete who was convicted by a jury for sexually assaulting a woman behind a dumpster (he had been caught in the act and held by passersby until he could be arrested). He was sentenced to six months in prison (only serving 3 of those months 'for good behavior’), because the judge felt that a longer sentence would have a negative impact on his otherwise bright future. (The judge was later removed from his position by outraged voters who staged a recall, but the damage was already done).
All this to say:
Speaking up about injustice and/or showing support for the causes we care about will definitely result in backlash. That’s how people are kept in line.
The person who points out a racist comment will get backlash. The person who speaks up about sexual assault will get backlash. The person who stands up for human rights of any kind will get backlash. Often the closer we are to progress, the bigger the backlash.
But that is not a reason not to speak up. Quite the contrary, it’s why we must speak up. We must push back against the unfair power structures that are standing in the way of change. If we don’t speak up, then progress can never happen. It’s really that simple.
People are not going to just give up their unearned privileges out of the kindness of their hearts. People who’ve been languishing in positions of power and status in society are happy with the way things are and don’t see anything wrong with it (and/or they exaggerate in their minds the degree of progress that has been obtained, and are in denial about their own role in the oppression).
In fact, those trying to make change are seen as 'the problem’ and as 'troublemakers’, and treated accordingly.
Social change never happens without a fight, so any implication - however unintentional - that we should 'be delicate’ about how we approach issues of injustice goes against everything I believe in.
All this long-winded babble to say what?
People frequently focus on things that are easy to demonize and condemn, rather than focusing on the tough problems or injustices in the world. People frequently focus on tone rather than on content.
Anyone who speaks up against social norms is going to be framed as a lunatic. Anyone from a targeted minority who speaks up against the oppression they’re living under is going to be attacked for it. This is how unjust power structures are maintained.
There are a lot of different forces at play, and if we truly value equality and freedom for all people we have to be prepared to recognize, critique and challenge existing social structures. We have to exercise discernment in how we assign responsibility in any given situation.
We have to recognize that if we truly want to support important causes, that will mean sticking our necks out socially to stand with and boost oppressed and targeted groups. We don’t get to simultaneously maintain our privilege AND work toward progress. We have to let go of one in order to ensure the other can happen.
Anyway, that’s my two cents (or more like $50) worth. Some of it might resonate with you, some of it might not. I hope that at least some of it has been helpful to you.
Just as an aside, I want to rant a bit about religion and hate, and about how fucking sad and depressing it is that Greece of all places (FFS), STILL doesn’t embrace LGBTQ rights.
My early days as a queer lad were spent deeply immersed in Greek history and mythology. In fact, I even spent some time learning Greek (long forgotten, sadly). It brought me so much comfort and joy to know that queerness was an ancient, beautiful thing. Yet here we are with the situation today, all thanks to the religious proselytization of a few early pricks.

Sup! I’m not a part of the whole be nice to persecutors squad, but I do rehabilitate persecutors sometimes as an ex-persecutor myself and I would like to hear your thoughts on my opinions (genuinely I am open to change. Ik I'm harsh). This is going to be a long one and I’m sorry if I sound dismissive of other feelings it’s more of a how it all feels to me.
This is all persecutor discussion that may be upsetting. Please read with caution or delete from your inbox as you see fit.
So yes of course persecutors should not be treated like monsters they are a part of a system. They are people (or whatever word refers best to one’s conscious collective) and they deserve love and respect like anyone else. So are the people they hurt though. I feel that’s really forgotten in this positivity around the guy that hurts people.
So in my villain era I just chose to be an asshole. I was pissed at the system and wanted to make their lives hell. Letting me front was a mistake I was purposefully off putting around our friends (no they didn’t bloody deserve it I knew what I was doing. I also wasn’t mean I was off putting, to be clear). I wasn’t a confused protector. I wasn’t protecting us. I made the conscious decision and effort to hurt or disturb anything I came into contact with because I was mad. Not all persecutors are like this but my annoyance is at the whole persecutor positivity that includes people like me.
I didn’t change because the system was nice to me. I wouldn’t have changed because someone got me an ice cream or sympathised with me (and they tried) I changed because I happened to be fronting one night and someone was vulnerable in front of us. I’d been nothing but an asshole up until them but I was trusted because in that moment I wanted to change and trusting that I would try I was allowed to. I masked and helped the guy.
That’s not advice btw that’s just, what happened. No one being nice to me or trying to get me to change made me change it was having room for the decision to change that changed me. Getting mad at me for being an ass, making me say sorry for being an ass and treating me like someone who was an ass didn’t stop me from recovery. I whole heartedly believe that you don’t owe all persecutors kindness.
I was reforming a dipshit and I’ve been nothing but kind to her and she was still a dipshit. She understood she was being a dipshit but was fulfilling a role she thought had to be fulfilled and while I slowly undid that the person she was “tasked” with being a dipshit toward was allowed to be angry and upset and hurl insults back. You should be allowed to feel like you’re protecting yourself.
And finally my most controversial statement. System jail is fine. Locking up parts of your system for being assholes isn’t good for them but when you can no longer take the constant abuse or you have too many other problems that’s fine. I don’t understand the weird obsession with being nice to the bully. In my experience that wont stop em and sometimes there is no space to give them room to change all you can do is protect yourself until there is space.
I’m not a persecutor hater. I’m just an internet guy that says the online advice f being nice ignores the people that get hurt. It’s a nuanced and individual situation. Internet advice does not fix that. I am nice when there’s room to be nice and I believe that prosecutors will heal but the shit they fucking did should not be overlooked.
& If any recovering persecutors are reading this. I see you. You’re on a difficult path. You deserve love and respect and to live life.
This wasn't one of the eaten asks, but I've honestly been trying to work out how to respond to this for a long time. I'm gonna try and break this down for myself. And by that I mean, here's Debbie with the weather.
So yes of course persecutors should not be treated like monsters they are a part of a system. They are people (or whatever word refers best to one’s conscious collective) and they deserve love and respect like anyone else. So are the people they hurt though. I feel that’s really forgotten in this positivity around the guy that hurts people.
Absolutely, anon. The people we've hurt need to be rewarded for the shit they've survived from us. I was a complete and absolute bitch, and I apologize for how much of a bitch I was -- but not for the reasons why I was a bitch. I'm not going to apologize for my trauma. For any persecutors reading this, nobody here is asking you to apologize for who you are. We're just saying, acknowledging that you hurt someone is a good place to start.
Anon, take this whatever way you want, but that to me sounds like protecting your system. I purposefully made myself unpleasant to be around. I fucked with my friends and purposefully pissed them off, not "to protect us UwU" but because they were fucking stupid to be friends with these idiots. The other fuckers in my head were weak, pathetic, and pointless. I pretended to be other parts, just to pull the rug out from under my friends, because god was it easy to, and it was absolutely hilarious to see their reactions. I tortured my other parts innerworld, because god was it fun to make them realize just how pathetic they were, just how much better I was than them. My goal was to get the other parts to kill themselves (what I understood as dormancy after some time) and let me just take charge, because I wanted to live.
And yeah. That's me protecting my system.
Because the more I bashed us, the more I said, "let me take over because I'm better than you," the more I pushed away all my friends... It was the more I "kept us safe" from getting hurt from the outside. Rice won't be hurt if she doesn't exist. Rice won't break down from trauma memories if fill her brain with trauma memories 24/7. Rice won't lose her friends and break down if she has no friends to begin with.
I didn't do that on purpose, of course. I didn't look to help these assholes. I wanted them GONE. But now that I'm reformed, now that I can look back at what a mess I actually was, instead of the perfect being I thought I was, I can understand that all of that was my misguided way of protecting us. Even if I didn't understand that at the time.
I made that conscious decision to hurt, and it was influenced by the unconscious decision to protect.
Now, maybe you really were just a pissy lil bitch who wanted to hurt people, whatever, I really couldn't care less about you. But at the end of the day, alters in DID systems split for a reason -- to cope with trauma and make it bearable to survive through. So regardless of what edgy pre-teen bullshit you're spouting, if you're an alter, you're a form of protector in some way. At least in my eyes.
Cool! Glad you worked your shit out. I started getting better because someone was really fucking mean to me. I mean, I had food poisoning, was running out of the room to vomit, and my friend still sat me down for like a 2 hour or so lecture about how I was a fucking awful person and she wouldn't stop lecturing me until I shaped the fuck up and understood why she thought I was bad. That fucking BROKE me.
Being nice to your persecutor is one way. Torturing them after fucking cafeteria mozzarella stick induced food poisoning is another. To each their own, y'know? (Side note, I know you don't follow me here bby but I love you, thank you for slapping the shit out of past me with your words and anger <3)
I wholeheartedly believe nobody is owed kindness. Kindness is a choice I make -- one that can easily be decided against if it is no longer beneficial to be kind. I owe no loyalty to kindness. I choose to be kind, because why the fuck wouldn't I be, you fucking idiot?
I was reforming a dipshit and I’ve been nothing but kind to her and she was still a dipshit. She understood she was being a dipshit but was fulfilling a role she thought had to be fulfilled and while I slowly undid that the person she was “tasked” with being a dipshit toward was allowed to be angry and upset and hurl insults back. You should be allowed to feel like you’re protecting yourself.
Ok but that was a kind thing to do. Like. That's what I mean when I say to be kind to your persecutors. Letting them BE ANGRY IS A GOOD THING???? So confused why this isn't seen as being kind. You took the time out of your fucking schedule to help give that person a space to be upset and angry. That's kindness. That was a choice.
God you're so fucking hilarious tbh.
Yeah, sure, whatever, system jail is fine, esp in cases like. Where you're still in an abusive situation. That's because you're allowed to make mistakes, and system jail is a mistake. It's perfectly valid and fine while also being really fucking awful and stupid.
The "weird obsession" with being nice to the bully isn't "it will stop them." It's "that's an entire ass part of yourself, stop fucking airing your self-hatred out in public for everyone to see, it's nauseating."
TL;DR: Being kind to your persecutors is a choice. Obviously, it's not one you HAVE to make, but it's highly suggested. The issue is, "kindness" looks different for everyone. For me, it was "kind" to have someone do the equivalent of a guttural scream for 2 hours. For others, it's fru-fru shit that makes them feel all warm and fuzzy. For you, it was just giving someone the time and space to be angry. Making mistakes is okay. Do what you want forever and who even gives a shit? And FFS, OBVIOUSLY, LET'S NOT IGNORE THE VICTIMS OF OUR ABUSE. (But yknow, let's not ignore the fact that persecutors are also victims of abuse and they get blamed for literally every fucking thing jfc).

i talked abt this on main a lot but heres the niigo roommates au fic that i came up w an eternity ago... also transmascfuyu as usual bc i love him.
intended lowercase!
yuki gets a fish - n25 roommates au
Tumblr media Tumblr media
mafuyu had just left the pet shop. he was carefully holding a clear plastic bag with a betta fish swimming safely inside.
mafuyu walked towards his apartment, which was just a block away, as the cold wind blew against the back, his coat shielding him as he stepped on the wet sidewalk, still drying from last night's rain.
mafuyu finally arrived to his apartment complex, where his roommates were awaiting him. he took the elevator up to the floor he lived on and walked up to the door. mafuyu took out a key from his coat pocket and unlocked the door.
with a small click, mafuyu was at the doorway. he took a couple steps inside until he was in the living room.
"i'm home." mafuyu announced. he stared blanky at his roommates, waiting for an answer. he didnt have to wait much, because mizuki greeted him with a wave immediately.
"hello mafuyu." kanade's said softly without taking her eyes off the tv.
"hey mafuyu!!" mizuki looked back at him and waved. "you got the fish?"
"duh!!" ena put down her tablet and pen, pointed at the plastic bag in mafuyu's hand as mafuyu stayed standing there. mizuki rolled their eyes and looked at mafuyu again as kanade stayed silent, simply listening to the conversation.
"yes." mafuyu answered mizuki's question. mizuki stuck her tongue out at ena while she rolled her eyes, visibly annoyed. "i've been thinking..." mafuyu continued, "what should we name it?"
without thinking, mizuki blurted out possibly the worst answer ever.
"deez nuts."
everyone whipped their heads around in the blink of an eye and faced mizuki.
ena's brows furrowed, "are you fucking kidding me, mizuki- again???"
see, mizuki had been going through this phase recently where whenever they're asked a question, they answer with "deez nuts" and only "deez nuts". nothing else.
"seriously, what the fuck is wrong w-"
mafuyu interrupted ena before she could go on a huge rant, "alright, it's settled then."
"what?!" ena was shocked. "no way you're actually going to name it that!"
"i am." mafuyu deadpanned before walking up to the aquarium he set up next to the tv. kanade went to the kitchen and returned with a pair of scissors in the blink of an eye.
kanade handed mafuyu the scissors before he slowly lowered the bag into the aquarium water and cut open the plastic bag. he let the fish swim out before taking the bag out of the water.
mafuyu walked into the kitchen to throw the plastic bag in trash as kanade sat back down on her tiny spot on the couch. mizuki and ena looked at each other before mizuki stuck their tongue out at her again.
mafuyu took the fish food next to the tank and sprinkled some on the surface of the water. he went back to the apartment's entrance to take off his coat and shoes. it was quiet for a moment, other than the anime that was still playing on tv and the hum of the ceiling lights.
ena looked at mizuki again and interrupted the silence, "seriously, 'deez nuts'??? you've got to be joking, amia." ena looked off to the side, looking at the anime on tv, which suddenly peaked her interest as the protagonist was doing the magical girl transformation she does every episode.
"quit being such a hater!!" mizuki pretended to look hurt. "you wouldn't make fun of a child for being named 'ligma', would you??"
"yeah, i would!" ena crossed her arms.
mizuki gasped and put the back of their hand to their forehead dramatically, "how could you!! i'm literally reporting you to the police."
ena huffed, "well, news flash buddy, no sane person would name their kid 'ligma'! in the history of ever, actually!"
"well, i would!"
"why are you lying to prove a point you don't even AGREE with your own damn point."
"yeah you're right, i am." mizuki giggled before running off to their room and slamming the door shut.
ena sighed one of the most dramatic sighs as kanade did her best to contain her laughter. not a day went by when the duo made kanade laugh. she loved living with them.

by Phyllis Chesler
On Monday, a J Street and Democrat party operative posted a piece at her Substack. I am choosing not to name her or to link to the piece because I don’t want even more people to read it. The piece is titled in this way: “Elie Wiesel on indifference. A child killed in Gaza every 15 minutes. Two mothers every hour. Seven women every two hours. Are you OK with that?”
READ MORE: History Isn’t All Black and White. Just Look at Israel.
The piece then proceeds to trot out a series of mainly fake news talking points about the deaths of women and children in Gaza, hour by hour, day by day. How many J Streeters have expressed similar moral outrage about the much larger body counts in Ukraine (an estimated 30,457 civilians and 31,000 combatants, or 61,500 all together) and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (an estimated 5 to 6 million civilian deaths thus far)? We cannot trust the estimates of civilian and/or combatant deaths in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, Iraq, China, North Korea, Sudan, Somalia, and so on.
To the best of my knowledge, few J Street–style journalists have presented the much larger body count in Ukraine and warned us against being indifferent to it — at least, not again and again, day after day.
The above-mentioned Substack piece is in gruesome lockstep with the New York Times, which, on the very same day, had five full pages of photos of murdered Gazans, all identified by age, name, and profession. In the paper’s pages, murdered Israelis rarely appear, nor do the many hundreds of thousands of displaced Israelis. They remain nameless and faceless, as do the Israeli hostages who’ve been hidden in Gaza for five months while they’ve been beaten, raped, tortured, starved, and murdered.
I sometimes wonder whether both the New York Times and J Street are on the Hamas/Iran payroll, whether they are simply funded by Soros — or whether they are true-believing Jew haters. One damning piece of evidence that they are Jew haters is their refusal to acknowledge Hamas’ complicity in civilian deaths. Hamas doesn’t just hide behind civilians when they are available; Hamas operates and maneuvers mostly in civilian areas, a clear violation of international law. Given this, and despite Israel’s almost suicidal efforts to prevent civilian deaths, J Street argues that Israel has no right to fight back against those trying to destroy them. (READ MORE from Phyllis Chesler: Silence of the Feminist Lambs: Not a Word on Hamas Horrors)
The piece up at Substack essentially dares to turn Elie Wiesel’s moral authority into a sock puppet in order to use his Holocaust-era perspective to condemn Israel and to warn us against our own “indifference” to Gazan civilian suffering. What Wiesel said, however, was far more relevant than the phrase quoted at Substack. Please allow me to quote from an interview given by him to Merle Hoffman in 1991, as reported in On the Issues magazine (full disclosure: I was the magazine’s editor at large at the time):
HOFFMAN: You have been severely criticized for not condemning Israel about the intifada. What is your current position on the Palestinian situation? WIESEL: I have been criticized for many things… Yes, I refuse to systematically condemn Israel. H: For anything? W: There are certain red lines that I will not cross. If I had known at the time that Israel was involved in torturing I would have spoken out, but it was too late. When I found out, a commission had already been formed and justice prevailed, but I don’t feel I have the right to apply public pressure on Israel. H: But you have the moral authority. W: But what if I’m wrong? H: Can’t you afford to be wrong? W: Yes, but only if I pay the price. What if I am wrong and they pay the price? What if I apply such pressure on a decision and that decision may bring disaster or at least tragedy to Israel? Do I have the right to do this? It is their children who will pay the price, not mine. I do go to Israel and speak to the leaders there[.] I can say what I feel. But here, especially here, I have no right to speak out publicly…. I am offended when I see Jewish intellectuals who all of a sudden remember their Jewishness only to use that Jewishness to attack Israel. These are men and women who have never done anything for Israel [and] all of a sudden they remember they are Jews.
I hope and pray that J Streeters and Democratic Party operatives pay attention to these words of Weisel as well as to those they manipulate in order to condemn Israel.

hi!! i have one more ask i promise! saw another post saying it doesn't make sense for emma to think getting pregnant again would be a second chance at motherhood esp being an orphan who got adopted and saw her birth parents have another child, but isn't her having another child supposed to be a parallel to snowing and henry was a grown man by the time she got pregnant and he was ok with it?? HELP
Tumblr media
Wait. Does this have to do with Emma supposedly replacing Henry with Hope? I can't stand this "logic" because it implies that second born children are replacements and that parents only have the capacity to love one child at a time. A second child isn't a replacement but just simply expanding the family. And if anyone thinks that a second child is a replacement well then they need to change their thinking. Also this is usually said by people who take Hope and make her Hope Mills. So it's OK then but not if she's Hope Swan-Jones. And it usually has to do with Emma not following her adult son around. CaptainSwan haters are so tiresome.
Tumblr media
So if I understand this correctly (translating stupid is often tricky) Emma getting pregnant again means she is abandoning Henry the way she was adopted and abandoned? How so? I mean her adoptive family sent her back as a child and never communicated with her again. Emma is not doing this with Henry. For one, he's an adult. And two, she quite literally goes to see him. Emma Swan did not abandon her adult son. She did not cut off communication with him. She still very much loves him. Emma and Killian understand the horrors of abandonment so there is no way they'd repeat that with Hope or Henry. All you would need to do is look at Emma's goodbye to ADULT Henry and see that no one could replace him in her heart. It's quite clear in their interactions in Season 7 that Hope is just a precious addition to Emma, Killian and Henry's family.
Another thing is Emma and Killian are true love! Why wouldn't they want to make their family even bigger? It makes perfect sense to me that Emma would want a child with her true love, Killian Jones. And Killian, I am sure, would love the chance to raise his own child. Just look at the way he was with Henry and how he wanted young Baelfire to see him as a father figure (you know, before the rejection).
And before anyone cries "but Regina didn't abandon Henry! Emma did to go have Hope!" Once again, Henry is an adult and having one "mother" following him around into his adulthood was more than enough (too much if you ask me). Emma loved Henry enough to let him go and find his own story without interfering.
And YES. Emma wanting a second chance to raise a baby is definitely a throwback to Snow wanting the same in Season 3. They both missed out on their first born's first everythings. Both women are also doing it at a time when their first born is grown and has a life of their own to lead. Snowing and CaptainSwan have so many parallels and having one girl and one boy and their girls being products of true love is another!
I think people who use this "logic" to hate on Emma or CaptainSwan either are grasping at reasons or honestly do not think a person has the capacity to love more than one person at a time. And that just isn't true. Unless your favorite is Regina Mills then I could see how you'd see things that way but luckily we aren't talking about her....
Anyway I love your asks! Feel free to keep sending them. This one made me think for a second because I had to translate their stupid speak. LOL.

Okay, you want to talk Ronsey, you better buckle up! (This is going to be long, sorry!)
As the formerly known TRK Anon, I can confidently say that trc is still somewhat fresh in my mind, so I have lots of examples to support my argument. Now, given that I have only read the series once, my character analysis might not be as deep or intense as yours.
If you don't know already, I am a huge Gansey lover/supporter/follower/fan/worshiper/bitch. (Will Patton’s rendition of Gansey drives me absolutely feral!!!!) I have loved him since the very first time we know about his existence (Which is page 15 of TRB). If Gansey is part of the equation, I ship it! Bluesey, Ronsey, Declansey, Adansey, HELL…even Chengsey (I could care less about Henry, so the fact that I acknowledge this ship is a big gesture on my part) I just want to make it clear that I am not an Adansey hater, it's just not my kind of jam (*shrugs*)
I know that what Gansey means to me, Adam is to you. But Adam was tough for me. Like REAL TOUGH to discern. It was not until halfway through TRK (practically when Pynch becomes canon) that I was finally able to appreciate him, to see him eye to eye and say: You ARE knowable. I will give it to Adam, he has the best, most memorable, character growth/development in the entire series (Ronan being a close second). But his stubbornness during TRB/TDT was so unbearable to me. He was such a DICK to Gansey. And yes, there were instances when Gansey deserved it (like the hospital scene) but most of their interactions (at the beginning of the series) are somewhat tense. They are constantly walking on eggshells, afraid to trigger/offend/provoke the other. There are MULTIPLE references to them fighting pre-canon, mostly about money, occasionally about who owns who. The whole DC trip was so stressful for all parties involved. In fact, Adam was so unapproachable that Gansey and Blue kept their relationship a secret because of how difficult he had been back then. (Honestly, I think he would have unalive them both) Plus, he is a hypocrite (I guess we all are) because when the rent thing happens, he goes to Gansey first and throws a fit about it!! But when he finds out that Ronan actually paid his rent, he is “cool” about it. He doesn’t argue with him. He doesn’t feel offended. He just accepts it (it being both the money and the fact). The one thing that really upsets me is Adam wanting the favor for himself. I understand why he wants it, but he knows it is Gansey’s life purpose to find Glendower. It feels like a betrayal, you know? I just cannot stand people being mean to Gansey, it triggers me!!!!
And yes, I get it, there are some good moments between them. Like the call with Mallory when Gansey is trying to make Adam laugh. Or Adam fixing/diagnosing the pig. Or the two of them being ushers on Raven Day. But these moments are so…normal (mundane?) that they don’t feel special.
To me, Adansey is a somewhat “toxic” ship. It is a one-sided relationship, because Gansey gives and gives and Adam refuses to take. Adam practically (and literally) loathes? abhors? despises? everything that Gansey stands for (money, friendship, status, family, you get the gist). How can you possibly love someone that is the poster child of everything you hate?! I think Adansey would be the perfect ship for enemies to friends to lovers.
But Ronsey, oh my dear Ronsey!!!! To me, Ronsey is all about Gansey and Ronan meeting before Niall’s death. The way Gansey describes Ronan before his father’s death is so intoxicating. Gansey mourning the joyful boy that Ronan used to be. Gansey getting emotional over Ronan’s laugh. Gansey being completely and utterly amazed by Ronan’s dream creations (“You incredible creature”). Ronan being unconditionally devoted to Gansey. Ronan being devastated that Gansey has other friends; that Gansey is going to DC with Adam and not him. Ronan and Gansey. Gansey and Ronan. Maybe I am not making any sense right now because my brain convulses just thinking about these two.
They have been through it all. God, there are so many moments pre-canon that I wish we could get to experience. Can you imagine Gansey panicking at the hospital with Ronan’s blood in his hands? Can you imagine Ronan teaching Gansey how to punch?! I can’t remember if canon ever confirms how Gansey acquired his journal, but can you imagine if Ronan bought it for him!?!?!
@singersargentboi said it best: “The thing I love about Ronsey is that even in the books theres this sort of unhinged devotion between them that toes the line at being romantic/sexual.” Let’s unpack this together. Exhibit A) Kavinsky’s substance party. O.M.G. Gansey being such a deranged version of himself that even Ronan cannot stop smiling about it. (“What is it my dog needs?” JUST KILL ME ALREADY) Exhibit B) Ronan dreaming the keys to the Camaro in such a steamy delicate way that I am pretty sure he woke up with a tent in his pants. Exhibit C) Gansey bribing a full-grown adult for Ronan. Exhibit D) Gansey constantly scolding/disciplining/bossing Ronan and somehow stopping the Lynch brothers from killing each other. Exhibit E) Ronan going back home against his dad’s wishes, but still turns to Gansey for comfort (“Can I go and see mom?”) And if all of this does not convince you, I’ll leave you with this: “Gansey was far more of a brother to Ronan than Declan had ever been.”
However, I come to you with a peace offering, a secret third option: RODANSEY. Throughout the series it is constantly noted that 3 is the perfect number for magic ;)
THANK YOU FOR SPILLING YOUR THOUGHTS INTO MY ASK BOX 😍 this is delish and wow a HOT TAKE (to me, a simple woman who will live and die on the hill of adam parrish 🫶) although I understand your grievances from a protect-gansey-at-all-costs point of view! I think you’re right about them having the potential to be a toxic ship because of how much they fight. What’s funny to me is how it seems like they don’t understand each other… yet there’s at least 3 times in TRB alone where they communicate just by looking at each other which is amazing considering from what we know they have only been friends a few years but they’re that close and on that exact same level together. But then… they’re not. I think Adam has just had to rely on himself for so long that he can’t reprogram his brain to think differently, and gansey has had loving parents and a good sibling relationship and intense friendships therefore he can’t even begin to understand adam. They’re on diff planets right? They can’t relate to each other in any way shape or form. But then…. love comes along and makes it work??!??! This is why I’m an adansey girl.
BUT everything you said about ronsey…. That ferocious love I will never ever be over it ever 🥹 unhinged devotion is exactly right. And we all know the when I’m gone dream me the world quote but FOR ME it’s “he couldn’t say it, though. There were a thousand reasons why he couldn’t say it” like???? We were just supposed to move on from that? I can’t I wont.
(side note cuz I gotta defend my boy declan and say he is the best brother ever and I will not expand at this time bc spoilers but the dreamer trilogy will)
Rodansey…… now you’re talking my language. Truce? 🤝 thank u for this ask it’s made my day xx
