Mistaken Identity
Bayverse TMNT
Raphael x fem reader
Set in 2023 (turtles 22 ish)
Summary/warnings : SFW-ish other than bedshare, finding your way into Raph’s bed when you spent the night below ground was nothing new, but you hadn’t realized Mikey still snuck into his bigger brother’s bed when he would wake from nightmares.
For @jackalope-in-a-storm
“Hey, babygirl,” A soft touch, the pad of a large finger tracing over the curve of your brow, and you frowned, wiggled away from the digit trying to coax you into waking up.
A long sigh, a huff of amusement. “C’mon, then.” Arms, large, solid, sliding under your knees, the curve of your back.
You grumbled, protesting the movement.
“Just gettin you to someplace more comfortable, sweetheart.”
You could tell it was Raph now, close enough to the surface to tiredly pet at his plastron, snuggle into the curve of his shoulder.
He carried you through the Lair, and without looking you knew you were heading to his room. The light grew dimmer, the sounds dropped off, the hum of machinery and Donnie tinkering in the background getting dimmer until you felt Raph kick his door shut, and the silence thickened comfortably.
This wasn’t anything new. Long before you two had stopped fighting the way you gravitated towards one another, he’d offered his bed. Anytime you’d stayed the night, whether you were there to hang out with him or another of his brothers, you’d always find your way into his room. He used to say his was the only bed wide enough to hold you both without the fear of you getting squished in the middle of the night, but you suspected that was a lie after helping Donnie find a flash drive that had fallen behind a bolted cabinet in his room and had seen the custom ordered mattress to fit his frame.
You mumbled sleepily when he tucked you into the blankets, hands sliding down the muscles of his arms as he moved away. You knew he was tapping the touch activated lamp on his bedside table when the warm glow on the back of your eyelids dimmed, and you rolled easily towards his weight when the bed dipped under it.
“G’night,” he rumbled when you slotted yourself against him, one arm sliding around your waist as he laid out on his stomach. You breathed out against his shoulder, hooked a leg over his hip and under the ridge of his shell, and mumbled something of the same effect back at him.
The soft exhale of amusement through his nose followed you into sleep.
————————————-
You woke up hot, stifling, the press of skin sweaty against your cheek. You gave an irritated grumble, slowly shifting, trying to figure out how to move out from under the blanket without waking Raph or moving away from the comforting press of him.
Sometime in the night, you must have switched places, because you were rolled over, his arm still a heavy weight over your waist, but now you were pressed against his chest, your leg decidedly hitched higher over his waist and shell.
Raph’s hand softly smoothing over the jut of your hip as you shifted a little closer was the first point of disquiet in your mind, the suspicion growing as the large palm whispered over your back as it fell away.
The second point, the one you couldn’t ignore for the sleep still tugging at your mind, was the rumble that came from the plastron you were pressed against.
It wasn’t the all encompassing shake you were used to.
You eyes fought to open, blinked doggedly until you could see the width of the shoulders in front of you, your hand tucked between your body tracing the M right above his waist until the letter jarred through your sleepy mind and you all but jerked out of Michelangelo’s space.
Your back hit the edge of Raph’s shell, that crack he was always careful to keep you away from scraping across your skin as you let out a loud hiss, all but shoving yourself under him in an effort to hide.
He woke with a loud snort, muscles tensing, reflexes and instincts blaring online as he smelt blood and felt you all but shoving his arm up to tuck half under his chest.
He tightened his hold, arm flexing to provide a barrier for your soft spots, as he quickly looked for threats. Finding nothing immediate, his eyes passed over his little brother twice before his gaze tripped up on his form, realizing what he was seeing.
He sighed, starting to relax, until he took another deep breath, and his head snapped down to look at you.
“You’re bleeding.” His voice sounded like far off thunder, rumbled and fried with sleep, but you only shoved yourself against him harder, feet tucking under his thigh as you pulled all your limbs in under his shadow.
“Babygirl?” He asked, wondering why you were so spooked, letting his arm lower to wrap around the soft warmth of your stomach.
“I didn’t- didn’t know it was him.” You breathed out, not meeting his gaze, and in a flash he realized it was guilt he heard, smelt with the trickle of fear and blood.
There were several ways to take that statement. There had been a time or two, after the initial attack on the Lair, where Raph had woke up and mistaken who was next to him before he could ferret out a scent. Eyeing his little brother though, the cacophony of scents opened up a new prospect.
Raph snorted, tightened his hold on you, and turned on his side just far enough to flick Mikey between the eyes hard with his other hand. “Hey, wake up, numb nuts.”
His little brother snorted, whined, hand coming up to press against his head. “Ow, god! Raph, why?”
“You had a nightmare?”
“Sheesh, yea?” Michelangelo squinted, mouth pulled up in pain, the expression dropping as he took in Raph’s protective stance and the pair of eyes peeking out under his arm. “Oh, oops.”
“Yeah, Oops is right, idiot.” Raph groused, a flicker of real heat in his words. “You wanna snuggle with someone, get your own girlfriend.”
He could feel the shiver that worked through you at the sound of his grouse, and he turned a raised ridge in your direction, noticing you still couldn’t quite meet his gaze despite the fact you were holding his splayed hand against your stomach.
“Ok, move over.” He took charge, all but shoved Mikey further across the bed, using his free arm to rise over you, tilting his hips to clear your legs before dropping down heavily, shell creating a barrier between you two. “There, now no one touches someone they shouldn’t.”
Michelangelo rolled over, scooted backwards until he bucked up against Raph’s shell, jostling them all in the process. Raph retaliated with a thrown elbow, satisfied with the pained grunt the smaller brother let out before he turned to you, taking care to roll you over and inspect the line of red against your lower back.
“It’s already stopped bleeding.” You said, rolled out from under his hand, causing him to frown.
He tugged you back, up against him, voice pitched low, soothing, careful with his rumble with his brother at his back. “It’s ok, baby. I’ll kick his ass later during training.”
He knew he was a hothead, knew that at some point you’d probably realized jealousy would rear its ugly head, but Michelangelo had been sneaking into his room for years, a leftover way of seeking comfort after spending their teenage years in bunk beds. “Mikey may be dumb, but I know you ain’t.”
You snorted into his plastron, rubbing your cheek to find a comfortable angle with the space he allowed, and he took the chance, let out a soft churr to reassure you he wasn’t angry, that it’d take more than an accidental cuddling with his brother to put even a chink into the hold you had on his heart.
———————————
Later that day, when he slammed Mikey down in the middle of grapple training with a low growl, he met his little brother’s eyes, and knew without words that in the future Mikey would be more careful about which side of the bed he slid into when a nightmare hit.

Do you think the bayverse turtles ever get stuck on the back of their shells???
I cackled at this mental image XD
-A bayverse adorer and a huge fan of your work❤️❤️
Turtle Spinning Tops
Tumblr media
A/N: Thank you so much, it means a lot😘💚🐢 The short answer is no, I don’t think so. But if one were to keep them on their shell and spin them around… hehehehe. I also decided to write a whole piece on this, because I have no chill💙❤️💜🧡
----------
Warnings: Spelling and mental imagery of back spinning Bayverse turtles.
----------
On one really knew when it started. It had just always been a thing they did to each other, especially as children. If one were to slip and fall, and land on their shell (which wasn’t too nice already), it wasn’t uncommon for that poor turtle’s brothers to jump into action, force them down while one to a hold of their ankles before spinning them around like a spinning top. Or as Mikey called it, a Turtle Blade, finding it similar to a Beyblade.
None of the turtles were a big fan of being a turtle spinning top, but they couldn’t deny how hilarious it was to watch their brothers spin helplessly on the floor. Besides, they had done it to him, so why shouldn't he also do it to them? It was only fair!
With that being said, a turtle spinning on their shell did cause a lot of distress. Especially when they were younger. Regular turtles aren’t meant to be upside down for a long period of time, so for a mutant baby turtle, their survival instinct would kick in. But as they grew older, it became less distressing and just more annoying. Once they hit their late teens, it became more and more rare for them to do it. If Raphael was watching television, and Donnie accidentally slipped on his way from the kitchen, Raph couldn’t be bothered enough to call in Leo and Mikey to help him. Instead he would just look over and ask, “shell’s good?”, which it usually was.
If you were to ask Master Splinter, he’ll tell you this started around the time they started walking. One would fall onto their back, either because their legs gave out, or because they took a misstep, and in no time the others would be upon the poor fellow. Back then it was almost a terror for them to be stuck on their shell, and Splinter had to step to comfort them.
But as scary as it was for them as toddlers, they almost found it fun once they hit their early twenties. After two to three years of not doing it, because it was “child-like and so not cool”, they started doing it again. But now it had suddenly turned into a way of celebrating. Instead of holding their brother above their heads and praising him around like many humans did, they get them on their backs as fast as possible. Leo finally mastered that technique he had practiced for months, maybe even years? Get him on his shell, now! Mikey finally had the world record in some obscure game none of them had ever heard of before? Turtle Blade! Donnie had finally cracked the code on something, or he finished that thing, he had been working on day and night in his lab? Spin and jump, so his legs don't kick you out! Raph set a new weight record, just like he had been trying to for months now? Spin! Spin! Spin!
God forbid if any of them ever got married. People will be asked to move from the dance floor, so they can give their brother a proper spinning. They only spin that could rival that, was if any of them had children. Their partner would quickly learn to keep a space open, if they ever had to tell his brothers any big news.

{💙New Guy In Town💙; part.1}
Tumblr media
The turtles were on patrol around 1 am on a Saturday. It was a good thing mutants didn't require that much sleep, and they could patrol when crime was most active. Night was mostly quiet, with a few thieves or just gang members here and there. Roof jumping building to building never got old for them. It was such a surreal experience flirting with death when just jumping off and trying to make it to the next building.
Traveling throughout Manhattan they landed in Yorkville and decided to sit on top of one of the easier to get to apartment complexes. With the noise of passing cars and honking occasionally, typical for the city that never sleeps. Leo was standing while his brothers chatted, looking out towards the city. Hoping for anything that could keep them entertained.
"Remind me why we're freezing our asses off still?" his very patient brother, Raphael, asked.
"Not sure, but it'll come soon. Don't worry Raph, you can pummel the next guy causing trouble we find." the blue-clad leader assured the latter. Only getting a scoff in return, but not one that indicated aggression or replacement for backtalk.
Mikey began twitching which meant he was getting bored and needed something to take his mind off it. Digging through his pockets, Donnie took out a fidget cube and tossed to his younger brother who 'ooed' in excitement. Smiling at the interaction, Leo turned his attention back towards the city, this time catching a strange shadow figure hop roof to roof.
"Let's move, quickly! Mikey put that thing away." he ordered as he ran off with his brothers following behind in confusion, but didn't say anything. They were moving and chasing something, that's all that mattered.
Suddenly the figure turned and jumped over the street and landed on a building on the other side. Turning again heading in the same direction they were going before. Leo knew they couldn't make that jump. Their weight held them down, and the width of the street was a problem too.
"Did I see that right!?" Mikey yelled next to his brothers riding on his hover-board Donnie made him.
"You're not alone little brother!" Leo responded as they continued chasing the figure now sprinting. They jumped on a water tower bounced off it with a sharp right heading off into Midtown. The turtles followed with good distance as to not be noticed.
Finally the figure slowed down and perched on top of one of the apartment buildings. Not knowing the brothers were behind them trying to be quiet but were panting from the excessive running. Keeping up with this person had made the night more interesting than it was when they first emerged from the sewers that night.
Stepping up slowly, trying not to make sound on the concrete beneath his feet, Donnie used his goggles to scan the person looking down at the street beneath them. Donnie froze and removed his goggles quickly. His brothers looked at him like he was crazy.
"You're a mutant." he said to no one in particular and his brother's eyes widened. A mutant? The three of them stepped out of the shadows and looked at the person, now getting a better look. Donnie was right, he was a mutant, a bunny mutant to be exact.
"Yup." they said now standing up, turning around towards the brothers and walked off the edge getting closer. Then pulling of their hood showing of the white fur and ears that were tied up together. "I'm Usagi Miyamoto. But my friends call me Sagi, hopefully that's what you guys are." he introduced himself without hesitance, getting the attention of the youngest brother.
"Wassup, brah! I'm Michelangelo, call me Mikey. These are my bros, Raphael the strong one. Donatello the brains, and our oh-so fearless leader Leonardo who is master swordsman." he said making the rabbit mutant examine all of them. Their outfits reflected their personalities well.
"Nice tattoos, wish I could get some." Usagi complimented the three who had ink on them.
"Thanks, you're pretty difficult to keep up with ya' know?" Raph said trying to start conversation. The rabbit boy smiled.
"Thanks, it wasn't hard to speed up knowing how far behind you guys were," he explained shocking the brothers. In response he pointed to his ears, and they nodded in understanding.
"I like your spots." Leo said not really knowing what else to say, he would compliment the sword at the shorted mutants hips but that wouldn't make sense because it was sheathed.
"Really? Well that's sweet of you, normally people don't mention them. It's nice for a change." Usagi rants while reaching up to his right upper cheek where the small black spots were. "Anyway, I should head back home, it's getting late for me and my friend will kill me if I'm late for training. She's always cranky in the morning." he said cracking his neck in the process. he pulled up his hood and jumped up going over Leo. Landing on the edge of the roof and jumping again launching himself towards the second building behind him and sprinted off into the alleyways below.
"Who would have thought there were more mutants, huh Leo?" Donnie asked his brother who kept staring at the alleyway the rabbit boy disappeared into. He hummed in response receiving some looks but left it alone. At least for now.
Luckily that wasn't the last time they saw of the rabbit mutant. They next caught him in Upper Manhattan talking to a wolf girl mutant who had a grey hoodie on and black cargo pants. She had sickles at her sides and had black tape around her feet. Her fur was white and she had brown eyes. In contrast to Usagi who had grey ones.
They all chatted and introduced themselves finding put that her name was Uki. Not her birth name but she changed it because it meant something special to her and it was from her ethnic language before she was mutated.
The boys didn't bother pushing the topic further. If they were actually curious Donnie could just tell them. After some convincing, mainly from Mikey, they brought the two mutants to meet Splinter.
"How does your dad look like?" Uki asked Raph. They were similar in someways but her voice was more calming than his. At least according to Mikey.
"He's a mutant rat. I would ask not to freak out, but I don't think it's necessary." he joked making her slightly chuckle. Usagi and Leo were behind the others walking through the sewers.
Leo looked down slightly at the guy next to him. They were tall but Usagi was definitely smaller than him and his brothers. Uki was taller than him as well. Slightly surpassing Mikey and almost Leo.
Must have been because she was part wolf, he thought. Usagi glanced at him and he looked ahead quickly getting embarrassed that he got caught staring.
"You know it's okay to look at each other right? Not like it's forbidden." the rabbit boy amused making the turtle leader chuckle. After reaching the lair and meeting Splinter the mutants were just interacting with each other. Leo kept giving glances to Usagi here and there and it didn't go unnoticed by his red bandana'd brother.
"If you're gonna kiss him just do it." he teased making the older ninja roll his eyes and look back at the white rabbit talking to his nerd brother. Raph smirked but headed off into the training room along with Uki who pulled out her sickles and got ready for a quick sparring match.
This would be weird to get used to, but he was glad they had more friends. Ignoring his brothers previous remarks, he sat down on the floor next to Usagi and smiled at each other. Pulling their attention from each other, they conversed with Mikey and Donnie.

Part 8
Part 9
"...eeping at the moment, so please be quiet."
Taylor deliberately keeps her eyes closed.
"Now explain what he is doing here." Splinter doesn't sound very happy.
"We were telling April about our history when the Foot showed up." That's Donatello's voice. "And, well, then he showed up and started fighting them with us."
"He helped us, sensei," Leonardo says. "Then the Shredder arrived and we ran while we had the chance."
"What? Are you certain you were not followed?"
"Yes. Nobody knows where we are. We kept checking."
Splinter sighs with relief. "I see." His garment rustles slightly on the floor. "What is your name?"
"Casey Jones."
There's a brief moment of silence, as if Splinter is sizing Casey Jones up.
"Thank you for helping my sons. But now I fear you've been caught up in something dangerous - as have you, April."
"Guess that means she's not going home either, huh?" Casey's voice sounds both sad and accusatory. There's no need to ask who she is.
"It's too dangerous," Leo says. "The Foot probably knows where April lives; it's better if Taylor stays with us."
"Yeah, and does she have a say in that? We're here voluntarily; she isn't."
It's probably time to wake up now. Taylor stirs and blinks her eyes open; she sits up, wincing as her stomach twinges.
"Taylor!" April's hurrying towards her. She throws her arms around Taylor's shoulders and hugs her tightly. Taylor hugs back, gripping April's jacket. "Are you OK?"
Taylor doesn't know how to answer her.
"I am so, so sorry you got involved in this. I should have just gone and met them like they asked."
As the hug ends, Taylor says: "I still can't believe you're not crazy."
April laughs ruefully. "I don't blame you for thinking I was. I mean, looking back, I probably shouldn't have told my boss..."
"Shhh!" Taylor glances wildly towards the turtles, but they're not listening to the conversation. Raphael is there, and he's having a glare-off with Casey. Taylor's stomach swoops unpleasantly; she swallows and looks away again.
"But she didn't believe you, right?" she whispers.
April grimaces. "She fired me."
"Oh. I'm sorry."
Suddenly she frowns. Why is she lying on blankets again? She fell asleep in that chair, she knows she did.
"...that you're not human is the only reason I'm not arresting you," Casey growls at the hulking behemoth.
Taylor frowns and sits further upright.
"What's that on Donatello's shell?"

Some headcanons regarding TMNT physiology
Over the years, I have come up with some headcanons regarding how I believe the Ninja Turtles' bodies work. I thought that perhaps it might be nice to finally share them with all of you.
These don't apply to all the iterations, of course, but they are pretty well universal in my mind, and I tend to incorporate most of them into my fanfics.
The Turtles (like leatherback sea turtles, echidnas, and some dinosaurs) are mesotherms, meaning they are neither warm nor cold blooded. They are, instead, in a middle-ground: they internally generate heat, but not to a constant temperature. In the Turtles' case, they will shiver when cold, and their bodies will not shut down right away when the temperature dips too low, though they may lose some energy and find it hard to concentrate.
Unlike many other modern reptiles and amphibians, who have a three-chambered heart, the Turtles have four-chambered hearts (like mammals and dinosaurs) that are larger and stronger than average human hearts and located at the center of their chests.
While the average human blood capacity is around five liters, the Turtles have about seven. Much of the blood flows under the shell -- a remnant of their lives as ordinary turtles, whose own blood does so in order to warm them when they bask. This means that the Turtles could lose close to three liters of blood before dying, while a human would only be able to lose two.
Their blood is also highly efficient at clotting, but that also means that storing blood for transfusions is difficult, and so must be directly transfused from one turtle to another in emergency situations.
Owing to their extensive circulatory system, they also have a larger lung capacity than humans and more oxygen-rich blood, and so are able to hold their breath for extended periods of time without adverse effects. Other than this, the Turtles' respiratory system is very much like humans', utilizing a diaphragm to inflate and deflate their lungs.
Like regular turtles, they do not have ribs, but rather their carapaces and plastrons serve that purpose, and they have muscles under their shells that keep their internal organs right where they belong.
Also like regular turtles, their spines curve along the insides of their shells. A direct hit on the center of their shells, then, could cause damage to their spinal column and nervous system, but fortunately their vertebral shields offer a fair amount of protection, so it would take quite an impact.
The Turtles are highly resistant to most infections and diseases, which increases their immunological responses. They do not get sick easily, and they recover quickly.
While their scales are not apparent, they are integrated into their skin, making it tougher than human skin. It takes a very hard hit to raise a bruise, and it is difficult to cut through without a very sharp or pointed blade.
Their bones are similar to humans, but are more resistant to breaking. They also heal quicker and stronger if they are broken.
Their muscles are also very close to human-like, but they are stronger than an average human due to compensating for the extra weight they carry in their shells. Because of this, their ligaments and tendons are also tougher, and it is difficult for them to have a joint dislocated.
Their sense of smell is more acute than humans, but not to an extreme degree. They are also not as bothered by foul smells (though this has more to do with living in a sewer than their physiology).
Their eyes are a bit tougher and more resistant to damage than human eyes due to a protective membrane that covers them. They see a bit better than humans in dark places and underwater.
Their hearing is somewhat more attuned to lower frequencies than human hearing, and is not dependent on external ears but rater an internal auditory system (making direct damage to their hearing unlikely).
They are capable of being knocked unconscious, but it takes a significant impact. Permanent or lingering damage to their brains is unlikely due to their structure, and so they also do not tend to suffer the same side-effects that humans would in the same circumstances (nausea, memory loss, etc.).
Although their nutritional needs are similar to humans, they do not need to eat every day, and in fact can get by quite well without food for a week if necessary (though they won't enjoy it). When food is readily available, however, they will eat as much as possible to store up energy. Their metabolism does not slow down when they do not eat, so overexerting themselves when they haven't had any food for a while can burn them out suddenly.
Their sleep schedules are much like most diurnal animals, though they are able to stay awake for extended periods of time and can get by on little sleep, if necessary. There have been times when they have been awake for days on end, getting by on short one hour naps here and there. In general, though, they like to have a regular sleep/wake cycle.
Like other reptiles, the Turtles never stop growing throughout their lifetimes; however their growth is slow, topping off at about 1-2 inches every five years.
Does anyone have anything they would like to add to the list? I actually had fun compiling it!

Hey , I was wondering how do you think the Bay Turtles would react to that Tik Tok trend where the gf called their bf their husband ? Like they could be at the lair and April calls reader amd reader is like " Ya I'm at my husbands place " etc.
This is the trend I'm talking about
https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGeypmGWK/
Very cute idea! Also Bayverse request! 😚👌💙
🐢Calling Them Your Husband🐢
💙❤️Bayverse TMNT x Reader💜🧡
Tumblr media
Word Count: 917
CW: Gender-neutral reader, calling him your husband 🥰, fluffy as hell, not proof-read.
TikTok was an interesting platform that you enjoyed scrolling through occasionally, and it wasn’t until one day you stumbled upon the couple side of TikTok. You were planning on scrolling past until a certain one caught your attention, and it certainly got you thinking…
Later that night, you and your boyfriend were doing your nightly activities as you usually did, when you got a sudden call from April. You answered with a smile, “Hey April, what’s up?” You ask, the conversation flowing naturally until she asked where you were at. Without hesitation, you answered, “Oh! Yeah, I’m at my husband's place.” You smile, before glancing over at the turtle beside you, getting the following reaction…
🐢💙Leonardo💙🐢
💙 Leo was staring rather intensely at you, feeling a flood of emotions course through him as he stared at you. He would then let out a soft chuckle, and waited until you hung up. He really liked that, oh he REALLY loved that actually, you saw him as your husband, huh?
💙 Once you hung up, he wrapped his arms around you and kissed you sweetly, “So, what was that about, hm?” He mused, as you giggled a bit. “You want to get married? Why didn’t you just say so?” He smiles, and you couldn’t find it in your heart to tell him it was a TikTok, you just couldn’t, not at the time anyways. And plus, I mean the topic was on your mind after all.
💙 “Oh yeah.” You grin as you draw him into a loving kiss, “Let’s get married?” You ask, smiling at him. A chuckle escapes him and he presses his forehead against yours, “Yeah… Let’s get married.” He swiftly lifts you up, bridal style, “And let’s make it soon. I want this husband title to be more permanent.” He chuckles. (Though you would have to tell him later down the line about this because you felt a tad bit guilty, spoiler; he was confused, but he was fine with it.)
🐢❤️Raphael❤️🐢
❤️ Raph gave you a soft chuckle, before placing a hand on your hip, “Damn right you are.” He smirked down at you. Now this, dear reader, stroked his ego, he absolutely loved it. He waits for you to finish up the call with April, lightly rubbing your skin in a loving manner as he was left with his thoughts for a moment.
❤️ Once you hung up, he kissed your head, “Husband, huh? Get that from somewhere?” He asks, and you couldn’t help but chuckle, “Yes… I did, it was a TikTok idea.” He playfully rolled his eyes, “Now you didn’t mean it?” He teased, making you panic, “Of course I did, Raph!” He let out a small laugh, “Easy, Dollface. I’m messing with you.” He would kiss your forehead, calming you down.
❤️ He was a little disappointed that it was a TikTok trend, but he does have to admit, you calling him your husband certainly felt good. Now he was rather tempted to make you a Hamato, if you catch my drift. But he’d wait, he wants it to be at the right time… For now, he’s just relentlessly bullies you (lovingly) about this for a good while.
🐢💜Donatello💜🐢
💜 Chokes, Donnie literally chokes. He was in the middle of drinking some apple juice when the phrase, ‘my husband’s’, gave him some whiplash with this one. He was choking and coughing, wiping away dripping juice as you panicked and hung up on April to help him, (RIP Donnie, died to apple juice 💀).
💜 Once you finish helping him clean up, he would finally regain his composure, his nostrils still stinging from the apple juice, he asks, “What was that about?” He wasn’t angry, not at all, just really confused about this whole thing. Husband? That’s not the right term, you guys aren’t married (yet)! You end up explaining, “Well… It was a TikTok trend and I kinda wanted to see how you’d react.” You admit.
💜 He chuckles and shakes his head at this, “A TikTok trend?” He asks, “Well, it certainly caught me off guard… But maybe don’t do that the next time I’m drinking apple juice, it isn’t pleasant in the throat nor the nose.” He warns, making you smile, “Right, sorry Don.” And you kissed his cheek, returning back to your fun nightly activities of working on his latest invention.
🐢🧡Michelangelo🧡🐢
🧡 Mikey goes along with it, he’s seen this trend. He wraps his arms around your waist and leans against your shoulder, speaking closer to the phone, “Yup~ Wifeys at my place!” He grins, and now you were feeling yourself get red in the face, now a little flustered that he went along with it. It kinda made you feel a little giddy inside.
🧡 Once hanging up, Mikey was giving you a smug smirk, “Tried to pull that one on me? Well I’m two steps ahead of you, angelcakes!” He grins as he’d kiss your cheek, making you groan, “Damn it, Mikey. I was hoping you’d be a little more on the surprised side, but alas, you know TikTok better than I do.” Making him laugh and nuzzle against your neck.
🧡 He placed sweet kisses along your neck, “Nah, that just takes the fun out of it.” He grins widely, pulling away to look into your eyes, “Plus, I’ve always wanted to call you wifey.” He smirked again when he saw you blush a little harder, making you sigh, “Fine fine! You win.” You groan, hugging him around the shoulders, as he laughed softly and nuzzled your cheek lovingly.

Raphael's First Love—A Talk With Splinter
part of the First Love Talk miniseries!
sfw 💫 word count: 1.2k
Tumblr media
The old metronome in the corner of the dojo ticked on incessantly as Raphael sat in indignant silence with Master Splinter. After four outbursts, a fight with Leonardo, and days of distance, Splinter had put his foot down and called his son in for a talk about his behavior. Beneath his stern exterior, Splinter was concerned.
"Raphael, explain yourself," Splinter demanded with a calm voice, treading a thin line with his angriest son's temper. Not out of fear—Splinter could and would easily put the giant back in his place even as an old rat. That was no issue. "What has gotten into you?"
Weeks of this crap, that's what, thought Raph bitterly. Weeks of feeling sick to his stomach every time she was around, trying to put up a good front and getting embarrassed by himself or his brothers; he felt stupid. Weak. Utterly at her mercy, and she didn't even know. Good. I don't want her to. Splinter gave him a skeptical eye. He shifted his position multiple times, uncomfortable and trying to look casual. Grunted dismissively. But he knew his father was not going to take that for an answer. He let out a scoff, dodging eye contact, "Things gettin' under my shell like usual."
"But not like usual, because you are worse-off than usual," observed Splinter.
His mental health was actively declining the more he deliberated on the pang in his heart he felt when he thought about her. It made his guts twist to think about why he was so angry, why he was even afraid of her, deep down. The last thing he ever wanted to admit to himself, let alone Splinter, was that he cared what she thought. A lot.
Too much.
All of his brothers seemed so confident, and yet he was self-conscious. Why? Why do I gotta be like this?!
Raph shrugged. "You know me, master. Comes with the whole package, whether all of you like it or not." He was already moody, prone to rapidly-changing emotions. That was never a guess, it was a given. "Look, I'll do us a favor and just end this convo now—I ain't in a bad way. And Leo needs to stay in his lane comin' to you over a little fight." He started to get up, leave the terrible silence of the training room and that god awful ticking metronome. Splinter jabbed his cane into his plastron, knocking him back, and then brought it down hard on his foot. Raph yelped and stumbled down, quickly reassuring his seated position.
"Enough!" Splinter barked. "Sit, Raphael."
Splinter had his full attention, now. The top of his foot ached dully.
Raph was seething on the inside. On the outside, he slumped over his knee, hiding his face behind his thick forearm.
This was all her fault. If she hadn't fallen—literally crashed—into their lives, he would be fine. There would be no question about what to do or what he was feeling. It was always them and the shadows—no people, no complications. He always knew that would never be accepted despite craving it with every ounce of his being. Why change that? Why suddenly bring more emotions into the mix? Before her, it was all straightforward. Now, he worried if he was too brutish, too much of a freak, if his normal habits weren't so "normal". He didn't want to feel like he was under one of Donnie's microscopes, with her eye looking through the lens.
Splinter furrowed his gray brow at him, resting his hands on his cane. "This is about your self esteem, is it not?" he questioned carefully. Prying.
"You couldn't know anything about it!" Raph shouted back. He swung his hand as he spoke. "I'm a six-foot turtle, there's no changing it! No changing me!"
Sighing a light breath, Splinter closed his eyes. This was going to be the challenge for the day. No day was without its challenges. He recentered his thoughts, looking for a different angle. He wanted to speak his son's language.
"Correct, there is no changing you."
Raph stuttered on his response as his face fell almost imperceptibly, but Splinter knew every minute expression of his kids.
If she knows, I'm done for. Raphael's mind was swirling and his thoughts were reaching dead-ends left and right. There was no changing. No hope? He couldn't tell. He'd given up before he'd even tried. Because like his weapon, he was defensive, and did everything possible to protect what? Himself. His big, soft heart in there that needed some serious attention. The thought of telling her made him want to hurl. But like a moth to a flame, he kept coming right back to her, torturing himself with "what-if's" and doubts he had all the while.
"What do you want me to say, Splinter?" Raph spat with a low voice.
"I want you to be honest with yourself," Splinter replied.
Raph poked the tip of his sai into the mat before him, digging it into the material. "Okay, I'll bite," he said, "what do you think I'm lyin' about? Huh?"
He already knew the answer to that. It was everything; he rejected the shyness he felt inexplicably when she was around. He felt dirty next to her, or if he accidentally touched her, it was an ordeal. Because he was a mutant and she was a human. Out of all of her pick of people, he never could have been at the top of her list. He doubted he even made the list as an option.
Knowing Raphael was lying then, too, Splinter simply lifted his chin at him, and waited for the real answer.
The silence was getting to be too much for him. He jammed his sai into the mat, stabbing through it. But in his face was sadness, not anger. He finally admitted, "I just want to be accepted. Even just by her." Fiddling with his sai, he averted his eyes to stare at something random next to him, adding quietly, a little bashfully: "Aaaaaand sometimes I think Leo has a…better shot than me. That's why we were fightin'. I went nuts because he was gettin' along with her and it made me feel some stuff I don't want to feel."
There it was, thought Splinter, bingo. "Well, you are certainly not the first young man to make a fool of yourself over a girl."
"Master, I don't even know what to do with myself. How am I ever gonna know what to do with her?"
"The first step would be to stop ruining my mat," Splinter said as he bonked his son's head with the end of his cane, irked that he was creating a hole in it with his sai. Raph quickly tucked his weapon away. He muttered an apology. Splinter cleared his throat before continuing. "The second step would be for you to face your fears, Raphael. Accept them, conquer them. You are as you are—what humanity thinks of you is not your concern. You know who you are. I would like to think that [y/n] does as well."
Raph shifted, uncomfortable. "Yeah, I don't think she does. I don't really…"
She was all too kind, beautiful, and smart; a deadly, terrifying combination, in his predicament. He'd been plagued with dreams of being with her night after night. Not worrying about a single thing until the moment he woke up—he was stressing every morning. His anxieties always seemed to curse him cropping up in his dreams; not even in sleep could he escape her sphere of influence.
Placing a gentle hand on Raphael's shoulder, Splinter looked down at him, "Then, you show her who you really are. Raphael."

- eyes would widen a fraction, and if you weren't paying attention you probably wouldn't notice.
- at the feeling of your hands on his belt, he would raise an eye ridge.
- his jaw would clench, and again, if you weren't watching him closely you wouldn't notice.
- hands would slide to your waist. grip would tighten a little at the feeling of your breath fanning his face.
- his cheeks would warm at the close proximity, his gaze would study you.
- so intense it made your skin prick in delight.
- he'd pull you closer at the feeling of your lips against his own.
- and once you'd both pull away he'd send you the most breathtaking smile. the type that literally takes your breath away and make your heart clench.
- leo would lean closer to you, so close you could feel his breath against your ear. "that was a very bold move, y/n.." he would murmur, his voice low, husky, and laced in a teasing tone.
- his voice alone would bring you pleasure, giving you goosebumps and causing a shiver to snake up your spine.
- your cheeks would dust in a soft rosey glow, but you'd force a smirk on your delicate lips.
- "exactly why i did it, leonardo." you'd all but purr. grabbing his bandana tails and twirling them around a finger with a coy smile that had his heart stuttering and thoughts to falter for a moment.
- leo loved hearing you say his name like that.
- he'd bite his lip subcontiously and study you with those intense blue eyes of his.
- "and what spurred on this bold move?"
- leaning closer to him, brushing your lips against his once more-
- "i was hoping you'd pull an even bolder one~"
- if you were in a secluded area, and especially if no one was around, he'd take you right then and there.
- if you were more in public, he'd find the most hidden place he could and mark every inch of you as his. ;)
- either way you're covered with love bites.
- leo wants you all to himself, and he'd be deliberate with his markings. putting them in places where they wouldn't be seen by the naked eye normally. that way, you two are the only ones aware of their existence.
- and when you guys were with company again, he'd brush his hand over the spots, despite not being able to see them, he'd know exactly where they were. he would apply a bit of pressure, to make it known to you, and only you, that he was very aware of this,
- leo likes to watch you squirm.
- and he makes you squirm as often as he can.

Fragile
Heyooo I’m writing this to get over my writing block for my book. All angst and comfort here 🤗
Generation: Bayverse TMNT
Tmnt x Reader Fanfic
Pronouns: Gender Neutral (except ‘dudette’)
Warnings: fighting, blood, injury, panic attack, hyperventilating, not proof read
Summary: You are a runaway experiment from Stockman’s lab. An unexpected group of mutants come to your rescue. How did they know how to find you?
✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
You were freezing and exhausted.
The city was quiet as the darkness ebbed closer to early morning hours. You had been running for hours now, somehow they always found your hiding spot. You whipped around a corner into another countless dark alley way.
A flinch and a small yelp of pain left you as your bare feet tread across broken glass. You risk a break and press your back into the cold brick of an apartment building as you take a moment to catch your breath. Daintily you lift your foot and pull out a sharp piece of broken glass, tossing away the piece and check the other foot.
Suddenly the screech of tires catches your attention and the adrenaline hits you again like a crashing wave. You’re running again before you can even think. You exit the alley and dart out into the street. A black van rounds the corner behind you and you sprint for the narrow opening between two apartment buildings. You practically slam into the concrete, bumping your shoulder and scraping your knee as you squeeze your tiny body past a build up of trash. The car pulls up by the opening and the door is thrown open as two men in black suits jump out and reach for you, but you scoot further down and make for the other side. They curse and order the driver to pull around the other side and cut you off as they try to fit through the opening behind you. But you’re faster. You stumble out onto the side walk and fall to your knees, panting hard, and scramble to your feet. The black van again comes into your peripheral vision but you’re already booking it down the street as fast as you can. They can’t catch you again, they just can’t. Not again.
The black van zooms past you and the tires squeal as they pull the car in front of you, blocking your path. You hear the footsteps of the other two men behind you and you quickly find an alley to your right, avoiding hands that reach for you.
In the icy chilled night air, you are sweating through the thin white smock. A dead end.
“No…. No no no no they can’t- ….” You frantically look around at the corners where brick and grey cement buildings meet, discarded trash piled up but nowhere to hide. You find a glass beer bottle and smash the bottom of it. The raggedy sound of your desperate gasps for breath fill the space, your back pressed hard into the slimy brick wall. Heartbeat pounding in your ears.
Polished leather shoes click as the group of men slowly approached you, spread out like they were ready to catch a frightened animal.
“Finally.” A man in a white lab coat stepped into the alley behind the men in suits. “You stay right there. Before we go back, we are going to have a nice long “talk” about your behavior….”
Several of the men reached to their belts for a wand that extended into a short metal rod with electricity sparking at the tips, and another man walked over to a pile of trash and pulled out the broken leg of a wooden table.
The man chuckled, watching your eyes widen with fear as you trembled in your defensive position. He pulled a notepad out of his jacket pocket and clicked a pen.
“I will be observing if this event triggers a desired response. You may begin.” The armed men all suddenly lunged forward.
“Finally.”
A large flash of green and red suddenly descended from above and landed right on top of the man closest to you, making you flinch with fright.
A whoop sounded from above and everyone stopped to look up as another large being flipped in the air and landed in front of you in a showy flourish of waving nunchucks.
“Step away from the babe!” The orange clad being said heroically, looking over his shoulder to throw you a wink.
Your eyes were wide as your whole body tensed, frozen in place. His face almost didn’t look…. human.
Like Bebop and Rocksteady.
Another thud brought your attention to a large blue clad being that landed next to the red one.
“Raph, I said to wait until I gave the order!” He whisper yelled. Making the red one, Raph, grunt and step off the man he was standing on.
“Seemed to me that Stockman already gave the order. You think I was just gonna sit by and watch?”
The men in suits had started surrounding the red and blue mutants, while the orange protectively stood in front of you spinning his nunchucks.
You lowered the broken bottle in your hands marginally, sensing that the new arrivals didn’t have intention to harm you. When suddenly a fourth one in a purple mask landed right next to you, making you jump with surprise, the bottle flying from your hand and shattering nearby.
“My data indicates that this is indeed the supposed experiment that escaped from the Foot Clan’s secret laboratory approximately 4 hours ago.” He spoke calmly while you tried to catch your breath, panic rising again in your throat as your back slid down the wall until you were sat on the ground.
“Yeah, we gathered that, brainiac.” Raph gruffly sassed.
“The chip we’ve been tracking is still active. Leo?” Said the supposed brainiac.
“Shut it down Donnie, we’ll take care of this.” Ordered Leo, as he turned and faced Stockman.
“Right.” Donnie knelt next to you and suddenly looked nervous. He gave you a very awkward smile before continuing.
“Sorry, I just need to see your arm for a minute. Can I touch you?” He asked calmly.
It was clear that you were trying very hard to suppress a panic attack. Adrenaline still pumped through your veins and you were scared half to death. But this mutant was the first being in over a year to ask your permission before doing anything to you. So you swallowed your fear and gave a trembling nod.
The purple mutant, Donnie, looked at you seriously for a moment before returning your nod. “Okay, I’m going to touch you now…” he said as he gently took your arm.
You still flinched on instinct, and took in a sharp inhale of breath, trying to steady your nerves.
Donnie muttered a quick apology. One of the men in suits was suddenly thrown into the wall near you, startling you almost out of your skin. Making you practically leap into Donnie’s arms.
“Hey, watch it Mikey!” He shouted to the orange banded mutant.
“Whoops, sorry dudette!” Mikey paused his fight to wave over at you apologetically.
You found yourself half in the embrace of Donnie, who looked down at you and giggled nervously. You instinctively flinched out of his embrace, but remained near. You didn’t want to get any closer to the unconscious man in the suit.
“Sorry… let’s try that again. Can I… touch your arm? I need to find the chip.” He gently took your arm after you gave a quick nod and he felt around your upper arm for a little bump. You squirmed a little when he found it.
“There! Okay. I’m really sorry but I need to take it out of you. This might sting a little-“ before you could process what he said you felt a sharp pinch in your arm. You panicked. Your head shot up and you started to hyperventilate. You tried to find something to focus on like you did in the lab, and watched as the orange, blue, and red mutants chased Stockman back to his van. The coward leaving behind his unconscious men and shouting at them that he wasn’t going to give up on finding you. The three mutants, you distantly observed from their backs, looked almost like turtles.
The pinching in your arm stopped, but your breathing wasn’t slowing down. You felt a three fingered hand on your shoulder begin to shake you, the other turtle mutants turning around and looking back at you with surprise as Stockman drove off. Your vision got hazy. The world seemed to slow down as you watched the three turtle men run towards you with expressions of worry on their faces. The fourth one was shouting something to them from beside you as he placed his hand over your diaphragm to steady you. His face came into your vision, expression serious as you tried to make out the words he was speaking. ‘Breath… just breath…’ you could make out from the shape of his lips.
That was the last thing you saw before darkness overtook you, and you passed out.

Mikey whistled awkwardly into your ear the whole way to the lair. At one point, you turned your head, about to ask what was wrong, when you caught sight of Leo’s face over Mikey’s shoulder.
His eyes were trained on your hands curled around the straps on the smallest turtle’s backpack.
You glared at him. He glared back.
By the time you were set back on your feet in the lair, your slight headache had fledged fully into a dull pounding that nicked the front of your skull. The ache was bad enough that you immediately turned to find Donnie, decidedly ignoring the others as they filtered into the cavernous space around you.
“Don? Can I get some Tylenol or something?”
He gave you his attention, hands cool as he tilted your head back and looked at your eyes. He hummed, and nodded. “Yea, some Tylenol would probably help. Let’s go get your scrapes cleaned too, while we’re at it.”
You followed him to his corner of the Lair, and almost immediately a hissed argument started in the main room. You raised a brow at the tallest turtle, surprised, but he only grimaced, closed the door to block the sound before dropping into a low stool and nudging you towards his chair.
“Just ignore it, it’s been going on for a couple days now.” That was more worrying than the actual argument, even though you couldn’t tell whose voices were overlapping each other. The turtles never let anything fester, there was no way for anything to fester, with how much they were in each others’ pockets.
“Why are they fighting?” You asked, watching as Donnie lined up the hydrogen peroxide and the cotton balls before leaning to the far side for a pack of waterproof bandaids.
“Hm… well….” He returned to sitting straight, handing you a little bottle that clattered as he passed it over. “I don’t- listen to most of it. I just tune it out as soon as I figure out it’s happening.” He looked down at your hands, avoiding eye contact, and you realized he was lying.
You took the Tylenol dry, swallowing and wincing before handing the bottle back. You let him doctor your hands, rub his thumb across the mark on your cheek, before you caught his grip in your own and asked once more. “Donnie, why were both Raph and Leo in the Ha’shi?”
He winced, but answered when you squeezed his fingers. “They got caught fighting. Most of the time they’ve kept it out on patrols, but this time Dad heard.”
“Great.” You ran your hands through your hair. “And you’ve got no clue what it’s about?” You had a sneaking suspicion, but you wanted to be wrong.
“Hm… yea.” He looked away again, gave you a sheepish smile when you let out a low noise of disbelief. “Listen, you should- you should talk to Leo.”
“I did talk to him.” You argued, the ground swooping below your feet at the gentle command in Donnie’s tone. “I talked, and he talked, and now… there’s nothing to talk about.”
Donnie stuck the tip of his tongue out, the move reading anxious as he pushed the issue. “Yea. Maybe try again?”
You had wanted to avoid this. You had thought, perhaps a bit foolishly, that they would all feel too awkward over the whole thing to say anything, especially if you stayed away long enough to be able to act as if it hadn’t happened. Or that maybe the blue banded turtle would have ordered them not to stick their snouts into the whole clusterfuck.
No such luck, apparently.
You hung your head, sighing roughly in annoyance. “Dee, I can’t. He was very, very clear on all the reasons why… why my interest was a bad idea. It’s not like I went and did a great job hiding it.” You said the last part roughly, amused and self-deprecating all in one, staring at the undone zippered pocket on Donnie’s leg to avoid his too golden eyes.
“No, no you didn’t.” Donnie agreed, soft and full of remorse as he stood. He turned to clean up so you could scrub your eyes in peace. When he turned back around, he faltered, swayed side to side in indecision before opening his arms up for a hug.
You stood to make it less awkward, met him in the middle and wrapped your arms around him as far as you could.  “I’m sorry Donnie. I went and ruined things, didn’t I?”
“No, no you didn’t.” He parroted again, tightening his arms around you. “Just… don’t go avoiding us, kay?”
You hummed in agreement, scrubbing your face against him in affection. “Never gonna do that, Dee.”
“Good.” He released you, quickly pushing his glasses up to rub at his eyes. “In that case, I really should probably start cleaning up the garage.” He glanced at you. “Leo and Raph are probably finishing up their Ha’shi time, but Mikey’s in the living room if you want to go hang out with him? The garage is a little too dangerous right now.”
“I heard it looks like a war zone in there?” You asked cheekily, taking his cues to return to normal, sticking your hands in your pockets and following him out of the Lab.
“My expertise cataloging may have gotten a little away from me.” He admitted, amused, and ruffled your hair in parting when you both reached the mouth of the tunnel that led to the garage.
“Wish me luck.” You quipped after his retreating shell, not really expecting an answer, but he held up a hand with crossed fingers before he disappeared around the bend.
Once you were alone, your shoulders caved, swinging down and forwards. There was a hitch in your left that no doubt would turn into something nasty the longer you went without icing it.
All you’d have to do is ask Mikey, and he’d fix you up with an ice pack. The thought had you sighing, feet turning automatically for the main room and the tv area, the most likely space to find the smallest turtle brother.
You rubbed your shoulder absentmindedly as you went, cupping the roll of muscle and rubbing back and forth with your fingers. The sound of your blouse  shifting across your skin brought you up short, and with a whine you realized you’d forgotten about your coat.
“Great. Just…” You turned again, mind not really caught up on where you were going, annoyance bubbling up, when you crossed the closed doors of the dojo and voices inside caught your attention.
“-look like you ate a whole bag of atomic lemons.”
You stopped, head swinging around at the sound of Raph’s low rumble, and the thought that he’d happily help you find your coat had you reaching for the divider’s edge before the next voice had you pulling back sharply.
“I don’t recall ever asking for your opinion.”
Leo, and where Raph sounded cajoling, the blue banded turtle sounded pissed. In fact, you’d never heard him in that low of an octave, that shade of done with whoever was trying to speak with him.
Raph started in again, words precise and slow, and the hair on the back of your neck stood up straight at the obvious way he was picking a fight. “I mean, most expect me to be the one that growls and loses his temper, sounding more like a beast, but I gotta hand it to ya, brother. You sure know how to-”
“Cut the shit and say your piece, Raphael.” Leo interjected, drawing out the syllables of his brother’s name, and you didn’t have to see into the room to hear how close their voices were to each other, how up in each others’ faces they must be.
Silence for a beat, then Raph spoke up, that careful cajole peeling back to show the rough anger underneath. “You don’t understand how lucky you are, Fearless. We’ve all been dreamin of someone that would put up with our ugly mugs, and you go and-”
“Someone? Or her?” Your eyes bugged at the insinuation leveled in the growl, and fought the instinct to scurry to the side, knowing they’d hear.
The was a long silence that you drowned in, heart beating too fast, too loud, certain a fist would fly -
before Raph huffed, voice so cutting you had to concentrate to hear the amusement underneath. “You think I’m after your girl, Leo?” He let out a vicious laugh that sounded anything but humorous. “You better clean up then, cuz she ain’t really looking like your girl from where I’m standin’.”
You were done. You didn’t need to hear whatever Leo said in response. You turned on your heel and promptly walked away, coat forgotten, shoulder no longer aching, mind a one thought tract to find Mikey and bully him into taking you home.
Goddamn turtles and their goddamn snouts sticking into things that shouldn’t be poked.
You found Mikey exactly where you thought he would be, parked in front of the tv with what no doubt was the game your previous call had pulled him away from. When he heard your footsteps, he turned, easy grin disappearing into wide eyes and a silent question, lips pursed at whatever emotion was on your face.
“Hey, Mike, I need-” You pulled up short, spying your coat on the couch next to him. “What- how…?”
“Raph grabbed it when he went looking for your phone.” Mikey answered, pawing at your coat to hold the mentioned device out towards you, big blue eyes glued on the way your face crumpled, confused on why his words would pull that reaction. “Babes?”
It should be so easy. Take me home. Mikey, take me home. He would, especially with how you couldn’t see him for the tears swallowing up your vision. You heard him toss the controller aside, nothing more than a green and orange blur that took up your vision as he clambered to his feet. You didn’t startle when his warm hands clasped your elbows.
“Hey, hey, you’re ok. Babes, don’t cry. Please, don’t cry.” You were scaring him, you knew, and the knowledge was enough for you to rub your eyes roughly, trying to shove everything back in the tightly padlocked little box you’d crushed under heel for a month. A long month of silence…
There was a scuff behind you, a foot sliding across the ground, and it had your shoulders tightening up, the forgotten ache returning with a vengeance along with the reminder that the Lair was the last place you should have a breakdown in.
A hand appeared in the corner of your eye, a towel bundled up in their grip. You didn’t need to follow the arm up to know who it belonged to- the blue toned fabric and vambrace gave him away.
It was rude to leave the proffered towel hanging there. It was rude and it was childish-
You took it from him with a mumbled thanks, certain your voice could cut glass with how sharp the word came out, and you winced reflexively as Leo shifted next to you.
You smoothed out the wrinkled terry cloth, raised your arm up to press the coolness against your shoulder. Your breath sawed out as the cold started to numb the inflamed area.
“Would you like to go lay down?” Leo murmured, and you almost missed the question, too surprised at how soft his voice had gone, not quite a whisper, but definitely closer to how he talked to you before the whole debacle.
It had your face raising up, curiously meeting his gaze despite the ache in your chest the realization caused.
He took you in, head dipping to the side and closer into your space. “C’mon, you can rest for a bit- Raph’s gone to get some pizza.”
You continued to stare at him, eyes tracking between his eyes as if he might explain the complete 180. “Where…” You trailed off, eyes flitting down to his shoulders, his arms, realizing you hadn’t been this close to him for a while. You swallowed, before rising back up to meet him head on once more. “Where am I suppose to rest?”
It was a valid question. Mikey shifted in front of you, and belatedly you realized you had forgotten his presence, caught up in the blue you hadn’t looked at for longer than a few seconds in quite a while.
It’s pathetic. You thought in a flash. A month of ignoring me and all mr. soft eyes has to do is drop one line.
But in the past you’d always rested in the main room, hunkered under some blankets on the couch and giggled while they pulled antics around you. He wasn’t suggesting kicking Mikey out of the shared space, and the couch was right there, so clearly he didn’t mean-
“You can lay down in my room.” Came his answer, eyes slowly moving over you in a gentle perusal that you knew meant he was assessing your mood.
The words settled in you like stones, scraping down your ears as they went, and you went eerily still. Silence followed, and you almost startled to hear the saw of your breath escaping.
Mikey shifted again, not quite leaving your space.
Your eyes narrowed, lips compressed, but you dropped your gaze in favor of palming the towel and muttering your answer to your feet. “Thanks, but no thanks, think I’ll chill with Mike til Raph gets back.”
Leo sighed through closed lips, and the sound had your hackles raising.
“You’re exhausted, and you’re hurt. Just come lay-” His hand reached out, nudged you gently.
In his defense, you didn’t realize you’d react the way you did to the slight touch either, but you all but jerked away from him, taking two steps to the side before swinging around to glare back. “I said no, Leo!” -
Or at least, that’s what you meant to say, but somewhere between your brain and your mouth, your throat changed the words into something else, something meaner.
“You told me no, Leo! You don’t get to tug me around like… like this!”
Leo blinked once, long and slow like he was processing, and you couldn’t care less where Mikey’d gone, eyes locked on your target as you waited for the return volley.
Eventually, his head tilted, and you saw the exact moment he chose the high road, and it made you see red.
“You’ve been through a lot tonight, It’s not me you want to pick a fight with.” He tried to soothe, taking a step closer, swaying towards you. “We can talk after you rest, but I really think you should-”
“Listen?” The word was out before you could catch it, and Leo drew up short like a puppet on strings, his head rearing back. Out of the corner of your eye, you could see Mikey slinking backwards, away, but you barreled onwards. “Just sit and listen as you tell me what to do? What’s good for me?” You snorted, so loudly it hurt, and watched Leo’s mouth compress into a tight line at the noise.
“It doesn’t really matter if you listen to me or not, does it?” He lobbed back, and you reeled, expecting the next line like it’d already left his mouth. “You’ll still wind up in trouble, wouldn’t you?”
It’s too dangerous. For you. It’s nothing but trouble, believe me, I don’t want to place you in danger.
Self-sacrificing. The words whispered in your head then, they pissed you off now. You scoffed at him, waving a hand as though to brush off the memory.
“Yea, whatever, I’m not putting up with this.” You told him, shoes clacking against the ground as you skirted him and went for the tunnel that led to the garage. You weren’t quite sure if you were walking home, but you were angry enough that if no one stopped you by the time you got to the hidden door, you would certainly try.
Leo’s arm snagged out, and you danced backwards, out of reach, teeth gritting because you know he let you. He could have easily grabbed you, hell it used to be a game to see how long you could keep away from his hold-
“This isn’t the time for this conversation.” Leo whispered, breaking into your thoughts, taking another step towards you. His eyes rolled skyward when you matched him with a step back. “Please, just- at least let’s go someplace where we have privacy.” He hissed the last word, and it didn’t take a genius to figure out he was referring to the orange banded blue eyeballs peeking out from behind the couch.
“We already had this conversation.” You reminded him, ten shades of done and tired. The whispered argument from before popped in your head, and before you could corral the words you stuck your whole foot in your mouth. “You think just because you had an- an epiphany, I’ll fall in line?” You snorted again, knowing the sound drove him crazy. “Good luck with that.”
The line had him pausing, brow furrowing as confusion cut through his anger, and you took advantage, all but hopping around him and belting for the tunnel that would lead you out, scooping up your coat and phone and trading the ice pack in their place in one smooth move along the way.
It might have been years of knowing them. It might have been sixth sense. It certainly wasn’t your hearing, he moved as silent as ever, but you twirled on instinct, incensed to find him a step behind you.
Leo pulled back on those invisible strings once more when you all but snapped your teeth at him.
“You better let me have my space, Leo.” You took a step towards him without thinking, and this time it was him who took a half step back. “Back off.”
It was laughable, the thought that you could do anything to him if he pushed into your bubble once more, but that growl started up low in his chest, and you watched as his pupils blew wide, the dark eating up the normally brilliant blue until they were nothing more than light colored rings.
“Back off?” He repeated, growl slurring his words, and you locked your knees as his head swung into your space, shoulders rounding towards you. “But that’s not what you want, is it, princess?”
Ooooo…. That was- that was Raph’s nickname for you, and you stuttered, wondering if that was Leo’s subtle way of letting you know he knew exactly how much shit you were blowing out your ass.
You met him tic for tac, a hairs-breath from his face, blowing purposefully up his nose just to hear that growl hitch up to a higher register. “I told you want I wanted, Blue. You don’t get to throw a fit after you’ve already told me your verdict.”
You wondered if he’d break. You kind of wanted him to, to really yell, to give you some insight to his thoughts beyond what he allowed to filter through the mask. Your heart a fast staccato that almost drowned out whatever growl he was throwing out at your defiance.
He dipped his head to peer down his snout at you, and you weren’t sure what had you more pissed, the way he tried to reel himself in or the words he used. “I am trying to talk to you- if you would just calm down-”
“Oh, I think it’s you who needs to calm down, Leo.” You went to turn, dismissive and all at once feeling the hurt, and his hand snapped out. You thought maybe he was aiming for your arm and misjudged the angle, because instead his fist locked around the fabric of your blouse low on your hip.
“I can’t- be what you want!” He hissed at you, venomous, and you reeled, leaning back, the fabric of your blouse taunt in his fist. “I don’t know how to be human, act human!” He pulled you towards him too roughly, and your shoes squeaked against the polished cement floor. “This is what you’d get, what you’re so- so stupidly foolish to ask for-”
“Leonardo.” Splinter didn’t snap, but he might as well as bellowed at his eldest son. Leo sure acted like he did, hand snapping back fast enough that you almost slipped and fell before he corrected and caught your elbow, touch hauling you straight before it was gone just as quickly.
You refused to look up, conscious that you’d had an audience for the whole fight and it’d done nothing but spur you onwards. Mikey was still perched behind the couch, trying and failing to act like he wasn’t watching a drama. Splinter was at the top of the little stairs that led to his bedroom, cane perched between his two paws, ears swiveled to the side as if he was listening to something else.
Leo was stiff next to you, eyes on the floor, posture polite and hands tightly fisted to his sides. You couldn’t look at him head on, didn’t like the carefully blank face he was presenting.
You blew out a breath, hand pressing to your head for a beat as your headache started back up. “Sorry, Splinter. I got carried away.” Part of you wanted to throw Leo under the bus as well, but you knew he’d likely get his own version of a private talk once you were gone. “I’m just- just gonna go home.” You paused intentionally, then dipped into the bow you had seen Leo make to his sensei over the years. “I apologize.”
“You are always welcome here.” Splinter said softly, as if you weren’t just engaged in a shouting match with his honor child in the living room in front of god and sundry. “But for an old rat’s sake, please allow one of my sons to take you home, if that is what you wish.”
You side eyed Leo, hoping Splinter wasn’t suggesting what you thought he was suggesting.
Then Raph stepped out of the tunnel, pizza boxes stacked in his hands, wide green eyes trailing over Leo, before his gaze flicked to you and you cringed.
Knowing he had seen you lose your cool over Leo was somehow worse than Mikey seeing it, but then again, it was Raph that first weaseled your crush out of you months ago.
Raph arched a brow, tilted his head, then turned to Splinter. “I can take her home, Sensei.”
Splinter nodded. “Good, good.” He gestured at you with one paw. “Let Raphael take you home. Please.”
“Of course,” You said, bopping into a small bow again, and relaxing when Splinter turned his attention to his eldest.
“Leonardo, please, come speak with me.”
“Hai, Sensei.” He answered dutifully, face still carefully blank. He swayed forward like a pendulum, before he caught himself with a near silent scuff of his foot against the ground, and followed his father without a backwards glance.
Raph waited until the two had disappeared into the little room before he looked at you and whistled long and low between his teeth.
“God, just, shut up.” You told him, angry all over again, jamming your arms into your coat and belting for the exit.
Raph chuckled, set the pizzas down on that table, and followed you back out, haphazardly calling to Mikey over his shoulder, “only one of those is yours, numb nuts!”

Stargazing (Fluff)
Bayverse!Donatello x reader
Tumblr media
Warnings: Spelling and cutie Donnie💜
----------------------------------------
The city skyline glittered under the vast canvas of the night sky as you and Donatello stood atop a high-rise building. The cool breeze rustling through the fabric of your clothes causing you to shiver slightly. Maybe you should have brought a thicker jacket. Or a hoodie.
Your boyfriend, Donatello, had brought you with him up to the rooftop, to show you his latest invention, that he held against his eye pointing towards the stars. It looked like a normal pair of binoculars, except for extra wires sticking out here and there, along with a few blinking lights on the side. You were wondering what was so special about these binoculars that his goggles couldn’t do. Therefore you leaned interaged up against your tall boyfriend, watching his face in fascination. Donatello, feeling your body being pressed against his, wrapped his arm around you, holding you closer.
“Are you cold?”, he asked, lowering his binoculars to look down at you. He could feel you shivering against his rib and against his forearm.
“Just a little”, you said, wrapping your jacket closer around you.
Donnie looked at you for a moment with a small smile, before sliding behind you, wrapping both his arms fully around you. If it wasn’t for the height difference, he would have placed his head on your shoulder, and let himself enjoy the heat of your cheek against his.
“Here”. He placed the binoculars in your hand. “Look up at the sky”.
Donnie held you close against him, as he watched you move the binoculars to your eyes in curiosity. They were big and too far apart for your eyes, so Donnie helped adjust them before you looked into them. You gasped as you looked up, causing Donnie to chuckle, stroking your arms with thumbs. As you looked over the night sky, the binoculars would show you the names of the stars and planets. It would tell you each planet's temperature as you moved your gaze across them, along with facts and how far away they were. It would draw lines between the stars, showing you constellations you had never heard of before.
"This is amazing, Donnie!", you said, your smile wide and bright.
He grinned, a blend of satisfaction and excitement in his eyes as he took in your expression. "I'm glad you like it. It's a prototype, but I thought it would be nice to have our own portable observatory".
As you marveled at the celestial beauty above, Donatello couldn't help but admire the way the city lights looked on your skin and hair. He listened intently to your voice as you read out loud what the binoculars told you. You loved learning, and Donnie loved watching your excitement with everything you encountered.
"Did you know that the stars we see tonight are the same ones our ancestors looked at centuries ago?", Donatello mused, his voice a gentle hum in the quiet night, as he gently started to sway you from side to side.
You nodded, a smile playing on your lips as you let him rock you softly from right to left. "It's both fascinating and humbling. Makes you realize how small we are in the grand scheme of things".
Donatello rested his head on top of yours, humming in delight as one of your hands started to trace up and down the top arm he had wrapped around you. "That's what I love about stargazing. It puts everything into perspective. It's a reminder that no matter what happens down here, the universe keeps on spinning".
The two of you continued to share stories about constellations, galaxies, and the mysteries of the cosmos. Donatello's passion for science and astronomy shone through, and you couldn't help but be captivated by the depth of his knowledge. He often reminded you about the stars you were looking at. Just as bright and just as beautiful.
As the night progressed, the conversation shifted to more personal topics. Donatello spoke about his dreams and aspirations, the wonders he hoped to uncover in the vastness of space. He had always dreamed of going out there, and one day he would find a way. You, in turn, shared your own hopes and dreams, creating an intimate connection beneath the starlit sky.
The city below seemed to fade into the background, leaving only the soft glow of streetlights and the brilliance of distant stars. Time lost its significance as you and Donatello became lost in the beauty of the cosmos and the warmth of each other's company.
In that tranquil moment, surrounded by the tapestry of the night, Donatello's gaze lingered on you once more. The vulnerability in his eyes spoke volumes, and he hesitated for a moment before finally speaking once again.
"(Y/N)", he began, his voice steady but vulnerable.
Your attention shifted from the stars to him, curiosity and warmth in your eyes as you finally removed the binoculars from your eyes. "What is it, Donnie?"
He took a deep breath. "I know I say these kinds of things often, but being with you makes everyday feel like a dream I’m lucky to have. Being up here, sharing this moment with you, it feels right. I love you, (Y/N), and will continue to tell you everyday until-".
Before he could finish, you reached out, placing a gentle hand on his shoulder, meeting his gaze with a soft smile.
"I know, Donnie", you reassured him. “I love you too, and I too will tell you so everyday”.
A genuine grin spread across his face. He dipped his head down until his lips met yours in a loving kiss. Even as the two of you pulled part, you continued to stand close, embraced in each other’s arms. You blushed as you noticed Donnie’s soft gaze on your face.
“Donnie, the stars are up there”, you laughed and attempted to hide your face against his chest.
“I know”, he said, placing a finger under your chin so he could lift your face to look at him again. “But you’re so much prettier to look at”.
Needless to say, but you and Donatello would definitely go stargazing together again.

{🧡Magic Blonde🧡}
Renet is being brought into the mix fellas!!
Tumblr media
Sitting at the window seat overlooking the advanced city, Renet Tilly, a Timestress and apprentice to Lord Simultaneous was waiting for something to occur. Anything that could make her get out of the long list of chores awaiting her. Something she desperately did not want to begin.
And is if she herself summoned it, she was called to the main hall for something. Grabbing her pendant and staff that allowed her to enhance her powers she tiredly walked towards the hall. Fixing her long blonde hair into a braid. She fixed her outfit. Some boots, baggy pants and a dark blue Tungusic with very short sleeves. She had wrist guards and pouches hanging from her belt along with her knife.
As the door opened, her master was looking out onto the. Where magic and science merged to better their society and community. Turning his head, Simultaneous took of his helmet and put down on his study. Letting his black man bun show.
"Renet, glad you could make time to chat to an aging man." He sighed as he continued to look over some scrolls. Filled with knowledge and prophecies from all over their dimension. And some from fragments of other dimension but not fully pieced together. "There is a book I need. One from the dimension Z2000-1416. I need you to go and get it for me. If one of our Farseers' see that it's needed in it's home dimension than we'll send it back." Turning to look at the young teenager, he found that she was already starting up her staff to open up the portal.
"Won't let you down master! I'll be in and out!" Already rushing through but getting stopped by being pulled back with her mentors powers.
"Hold on, I want you to make time with this. If you gain assistance along the way so be it. Take this opportunity to clear your mind. You'll need it for tomorrow's training." Groaning in future exhaustion, Renet was set down and walked through the portal. Closing the portal, Renet arrived in a city that wasn't nearly as advanced as hers. There were modes of transportation but no magic mixed with sciency bullshit machines.
"Okayyy, let's see what dear old Simu wants me to snag." She talked to herself as she opened up a picture of what she needed using her pendant. Not aware of the eyes staring holes onto the back of her head.
"Dudes."
"We know Mikey."
"She just walked out of a portal."
"We saw Mikey."
"I know, but still, you can't expect me to not audibly mention it." Turning back to where the girl was, they realized she was gone. Each of the brothers standing up and looking around to see where she had gone they fail to look behind.
"Boo!"
"AHHH!" The turtle brothers screamed at the same time as they turned around and saw the 5,8 girl standing in front of them. With Raph holding one of his sais in front of her face. Smiling she simply puts a finger on the steel and pushes it down away from her.
"Hello!" She greeted. The brothers blinked and Mikey grinned. Going up to greet her properly. Hand drawn out for a shake. One that was returned happily and then went down the line of the ninja quartet. "Nice to meet you guys, question. Do any of you know where to find a place of old artifacts? Preferably a book?"
The guys looked at each other. Than Donnie began typing something on his wrist tablet.
"Do you know what the name of it is? I need specifics to get close." Renet felt dumb, of course they need to know what it's called.
"Shit I don't know, my master just made me errand boy to go fetch something for a side project of his." Welp, she's fucked. It'll take a while before she gets that book, especially with only imagery to base her search off it. "Sorry to bother you guys. I'll leave you to whatever you were doing earlier." Beginning to walk away, she was pulled back by a large hand. One from the red masked turtle.
"Not so fast. You can't just portal here, introduce your mission and just dip." Oh yeah, things were different here.
"Sorry but I need to get that book. I'm not on time crunch, but it would still be nice to relax for a bit. Haven't really been able to recently."
"You're an open book aren't you?" Leo asked skeptical, a girl with a staff walks through a portal looking for an artifact that's old an it's going to help her master? Yeah no, sketchy. "I'm sorry but we're not helping you. I'm not putting my family in danger."
Renet seemed saddened but nodded her head. She understood. Of all people she was the one that most understood. She went to turn and leave but a voice made her freeze.
"I'll go with her!" The brothers looked at Mikey like he was insane. "What? She needs help, plus who knows what kind of danger awaits with a magical being." Leo looked apprehensive but nodded his head reluctantly.
"Come back safe and immediately after finding that book. Don't be stupid, and you," he looked at Renet who was smiling at Mikey. "Don't let him get hurt. Understand?"
It was kind of embarrassing for Mikey, he was 19 but still got treated like a baby. Regardless Renet nodded and made a salute gesture. Donnie huffed in amusement while Raph just stared.
After heading off to the best place Mikey knew to have old things(library), Raph glanced at his older brother.
"What?"
"Nothing, just, I don't know,... proud of you? Letting Mikey go on his own with a stranger." Donnie nodded his head in agreement. Sighing Leo gained an urge to go after the two but realized that would be stupid. Because in that case he should've just gone with in the first place.
"Just hope he doesn't get hurt."
--------------------------------
He in fact, did get hurt. But, much less than Renet. After reaching the library they were able to gain a lead on where the book might be. An abandoned mine outside the city border. Teleporting there, they found Krang soldiers digging around the area.
Renet had felt with them before. Specifically for them trying to conquer other worlds. Lord Simultaneous had fought their previous leader years prior, but a new one came to power right after. Taking in deep breathes she turned to Mikey.
"You should go. They're small but they make up for it in numbers." Shaking his head rapidly, Mikey rebutted.
"Nuh uh, I'm not leaving you here. Especially when we're so close to getting that book. You can count on me Ren." With a million thoughts racing, Renet was trying to think of a way to not get this giant goofball hurt. She promised his brother he would be home. Safe.
"Alright, here's what we're gonna do,.." It went smoothly. For the first part. Sneak around the Krang soldiers and make sure they're not seen. Easy. Get the spot where the book is? She could make a portal but that'll make a bright light giving away their hiding spot. Being discreet was better. Did that take Mikey bridal carrying Renet for a bit? Yeah, did they both enjoy that? Maybe too much. Then they found the pedestal with the book on it. Perfect. "Run Mikey!!"
Krang bots had gotten into the cave where mystical artifacts, including the book and the duo were hiding. Aiming lazer guns at them, Renet lifted the terrapin with her powers and launched him through a portal. One that shot him to edge of the forest a few miles away from the fight.
As he was flying through the air, a few stray shots scraped Mikey's arms and legs. When the portal was closing a shot hit Renet in the back and the portal closed. Frantically, fighting through the pain, he ran to where they first found the cave entrance. Hoping he could make it on time.
Halfway there,(or wherever Mikey was going) a portal shot out from above in front and Renet blasted through unconscious. Jumping, he caught her and ran back home. Praying to whatever god was out there, and she believed in to give them mercy.
Trying his best to not be noticed by random civilians. Grabbing his phone and ringing up his brother who never sleeps.
"Donnie! Get the med bay ready, Renet's hurt, bad!" Quickly rushing over to his little brothers side, Donnie assessed the injuries on the blonde and took her into his lab. She had second degree burns on her arms, some forming to third and had open wounds that were glowing green.
"What attacked?" He asked trying to cool down the burns and figure out how to heal her without turning her into a mutant.
"Krang soldiers. They had these crazy guns, she threw me out of the battle before I got injured." Donnie glanced at his brother. Only minor burns and cuts that would heal later tomorrow. Finally noticing the other two terrapins were there they dragged Mikey away from the lab letting their mind gifted sibling space to focus.
Mikey was quiet, but wasn't staying still. Kept pacing back and forth. Rubbing his face in his hands, cracking his few knuckles from time to time and Leo felt guilty. A while ago he was talking shit about Renet, giving her a bad rep without even knowing her. It felt worse seeing his brother be anxious, especially when he's usually so optimistic.
Raphael, bless his soul, was trying to distract Mikey but all it did was make Mikey more anxious. More nervous. After what felt like days, Splinter was able to convince his youngest to sit down and rest after the excitement he went through. Getting him his favorite flavored tea(Hibiscus), the doors to the lab opened and Donnie came out with a limping Renet. She was using her staff as a walking stick and was going up to Mikey.
"Glad to see you alive," she said making Mikeys' eyes shoot up and regaining life in his pupils. Watching as third part felt like watching Mavis and Johnny from Hotel Transylvania zing. Maybe having her around wasn't as bad as he feared.
--------------------------------
"You got the book, then?" Renet nodded and pulled it out of her bag hanging on her belt which shouldn't have technically fit but seeing as she was a space wizard, Leo wasn't questioning much anymore. "Are you leaving?"
At this, the girl went silent. Smiling sadly, lifted her head up to look at Mikey and Raph playing a video game on the couch from the kitchen counter. Sighing softly she put her head back down.
"My master needs this. Besides, not like I can't visit." She said getting one last drink of the Crush soda Mikey had given her and walked away to say goodbye to Splinter. Whilst that was happening, Leo went to get his brothers ready to bid farewell the maiden who saved their sibling.
"She's leaving after saying bye to us. So if any of you want to ask anything about her dimension make it now. She's exhausted and apparently needs to train later." Pouting, Mikey and Raph paused the game and got ready for Renet to come back to the living room and say bye.
"Thank you again for letting me gain my strength back Master Splinter. I'll bring some tea leaves from my hometown as a thank you next time I visit. Promise it'll be sooner than you think too." Mikey got excited at that last bit, as well as Donnie. He couldn't wait know what kind of advantages magic with science could give. Also the dangers. Guess only time can tell and show now.

Living Well Is The Best Revenge, Part 28
Sequel to Raphael's Big Mistake.
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7, Part 8, Part 9, Part 10, Part 11, Part 12, Part 13, Part 14, Part 15, Part 16, Part 17, Part 18, Part 19, Part 20, Part 21, Part 22, Part 23, Part 24, Part 25, Part 26, Part 27
"Well, well." The same man who menaced Taylor outside the apartment steps forward. "Looks like we've got a jailbreak, boys."
Taylor takes the bat back. It makes the Dragons chuckle, and she knows how much trouble they're in, but she doesn't want to just give up.
Even though looking at the number of Dragons facing them makes her heart sink.
"Look, guys," April says. "This is a really, really bad idea. You don't want to do this, 'cos we've got friends. Really big friends, and they're probably on their way over here right now, so..."
"Well, I don't see them," the man says, shrugging. "Do you?" He turns to the others. "Hun only wants the brunette."
A chill runs through Taylor's heart and she grips the bat tightly.
"Wait," April says. "I'll go with you. Just don't hurt Taylor. Let her go."
"You don't get it, do you?" the man says. "We're the ones in control here, not..."
Raph lands beside him and punches him so hard he goes flying into a wall. Leo lands beside the girls; one flash of his katana and April's hands are free.
"Are you both OK?" he asks.
Taylor almost sobs with relief.
"Leave the girls alone," Leo says, coming to stand beside his brother.
The Dragons look terrified - then they look disgusted and angry. Most of them raise their weapons and rush forward, but Donnie and Mikey are there as well. The turtles are larger and stronger, but more Dragons are pouring out of nowhere with knives, bats and chains.
Mikey stands in front of April and Taylor, nunchucks whirling fiercely. Taylor's got the bat ready, just in case.
"We need to get out of here!" April yells.
The noise is bound to attract attention, and the last thing they need is the police turning up...
Someone grabs Taylor from behind. Her cry of alarm is suddenly smothered by a large hand seizing her throat.
"Drop your weapons!"
It's Hun. It has to be.
"Drop your weapons, or I'll snap her neck." The hand tightens, and Taylor gasps for breath. "Do it!"
Slowly, one by one, they do.

Hello, I was wondering if you could do either 2003-2012 or bayverse headcanons or scenario with a crush reader that is emotionally a bit like Raphael? They are a bit more friendly than him and equally funny, kinda over independent on the “being taken care of” department, gets guilty and either lashes off or exclude themselves out of situations when they are anxious or feel overwhelmed by being “a problem”, doesn’t know how to lower their guard , neither believe they are worthy of someone’s heart, but deep inside they are affectionate and very loving (literally Raphael lol)
Hopefully this makes sense, if not (or if you don’t like the request) you can just ignore it
Thank you and have a good day / night
I will try my best anon! 🫡 Gonna do Bayverse because I feel like it would fit more for this scenario! (Also I fucking love the Bayverse turtles and I feel like I should start including them along with other turtle interpretations <3)
⚠️ Requests are closed, I am just putting out requests that I got before I closed them! Have 2 more to post out, posting another one today. Working on the other one currently as well. I will not do other requests until I’m off break, asks are still open though!
Lean On Me
🐢💙❤️Bayverse TMNT x Reader💜🧡🐢
Tumblr media
Word Count: 692
CW: Gender neutral reader, referred mainly as ‘you’, probably not on-point with what anon wants but I tried my best TvT, sorry if this isn’t exactly what you asked for anon 🙏, fluff!
🐢💙Leonardo💙🐢
💙 You and Leo will probably bump heads quite a bit with this stubborn nature of ‘not needing help’. My dude will not stand for it, he will help and protect you, no if’s and’s or but’s. Anytime you try to exclude yourself, he’s joining you, doesn’t want you to feel alone ever.
💙 Anytime you lash out he just takes it. He literally fights with Raph all the time. Will let you cool down, give you much needed space, then ask you to meditate with him to help clear your mind of these negative emotions.
💙 Will sit down with you multiple times and have talks with you, each time finally getting closer and closer to how you feel. Has the patience of a god and will wait as long as he can, don’t test him he’ll wait as long as he can. When you finally open up about how you feel, he’s good at reassuring you that he’s doing this because he wants to and because he cares for you. Is sure to give you words of affirmation every day until you finally feel comfortable to bring your walls down with him. And trust me when I say he definitely mentally celebrates, many kisses were given the day you did.
🐢❤️Raphael❤️🐢
❤️ Raph gets it, he really does, you’re a little more friendlier than him, but when you lash out he sees himself in you. He goes to you a lot to help you talk, and sometimes in return he’ll talk to you too. Therapy for each other.
❤️ Probably the quickest of the brothers to work you through these issues. Again, he gets it because when he looks at you and how you act based on your emotions, he can only see himself, and he doesn’t want you to go through a lot of emotional pain he went through.
❤️ Big old cuddle bug with you, once both of your shells are broken through. Doesn’t really leave you alone often either so you don’t dwell on these negative thoughts and try to close yourself off again. Anxious thoughts can lead to overthinking and he knows that pretty well.
🐢💜Donatello💜🐢
💜 Donnie is a little awkward in the emotional department, (and I honestly say that for every Donnie, not always the best in the emotional-department), so he’s kinda having a hard time here. Doesn’t mean he isn’t trying though. He’s trying to give you the right words in order to help.
💜 But he does what he doesn’t usually do, listen. He’ll hear you out if you ever finally break down your walls, and he won’t interrupt because it’s important to him to know how you feel. He’ll work on solutions when you’re done.
💜 He really does care about you, but when it comes to being lashed out at or you trying to exclude yourself, it kinda catches him off guard. But he stays on it, he lives with Raph after all. Has pretty good patience with you and will keep that patience going for as long as he can push it. Overall, he does pretty well and has a lot of patience, and will put his gadgets to the side for you.
🐢🧡Michelangelo🧡🐢
🧡 Mikey’s happy that you’re more on the friendlier side at the very least, but he kinda flinches back at the times you lash out. But no worries, he’s persistent. Surprisingly goes for advice from his brothers and his father and actually listens.
🧡 Will approach you with this newfound information and tries to be as reassuring as possible with you, though please do forgive him when he messes up, he’s trying so hard for you. :(
🧡 Always by your side a lot of the time and is always reassuring, he’s getting you to do stuff with him to keep your mind off the ‘what if-’ not here honey, not gonna happen. He’s a lot of fun and with him it kinda makes your negative emotions and thoughts melt away before you're smiling and laughing with him. The day you finally cuddle and kiss him, I think he actually kinda starts to tear up. He’s proud of you, truly, and he’s happy that his Angelcakes is comfortable enough with him.
