John Constantine had a habit of picking up strays.
From half demons (like Raven) to demigods (like Billy Batson) to other extremely powerful magical children.
It was rumored among Justice League Dark that Batman's adopting problem had rubbed off on John.
So, it came a surprise to absolutely nobody, when John brought two tiny half ghosts to the next Justice league dark meeting and introduced them as his wards. The two could be seen flying around cities with Shazam and practicing magic with Raven. And John was also talking with Boston about Ghost culture.
But then Batman showed up on the house of mysteries doorstep and wanting to talk about Danny being his biological child.
Well, one thing was for sure..
Batman was not making the kid leave if he didn't want to, and if John had to fight the richest man on earth in a custody battle, then so be it.
He might have to cash in a few favors though.

👪 for perse i wanna hear abt her sister >:) vult au if its spoilery for innmys -🐺 kao
👪 what is their family like? what is your ocs relationship to them? does your oc have any siblings?
🔥 "Horrible. They're horrible, relationship's horrible, I don't really consider myself related to them at all. That bastard of a 'biological father' if you want to call him that only wanted to use and exploit me for his own gain. I'm glad he's dead and I helped him get taken down. And his daughter was a spoiled brat, a bitch, and a blackmailer. I despise them with all of my being." "I never really got to know my biological mother but I do feel bad for her, it seemed like she had it pretty rough. And then Aspen had her killed. I had adoptive parents, they were alright I guess, we weren't ever really close. We all had work to do. The only people I'd really consider my family were in Revelasia. They've done a lot for me and meant the world to me. Especially Thea. I... I miss her."
☙ Relationship is pretty similar for bio father and Aspen in DV, but she never met biomom and instead of adoptive parents she has a mentor from the adventurer's guild who scooped him up like a little street rat that he was.
The real juicy drama under the cut so it's not too long. Gets kinda dark. She's definitely my character with the most traumatic backstory.
Now for the actual drama, VQ edition.
🔥 As far as VQ universe goes, she grew up in communal raising for the early years, then was brought into the household of the current ruling family of one of Holo's city-states as the personal servant of their heir, Aspen.
🔥 The Chadwick family is well! very evil and corrupt! We love people in power in dystopias! She was chosen to be Aspen's handmaid because her own powers could be used to get rid of any evidence Aspen's ice powers. On Holo, it's quite rare for demons to have any sort of psychic powers called pathics, and more common for nephilim, half-human half-demons, like Perse. Those who have pathics are supposed to be given over to the Regime to be under its control, but of course the Chadwicks weren't letting their heir be taken away, plus she serves as protection for them if necessary with her powers honed.
🔥He didn't exactly enjoy his work for Aspen, as she's very much a spoiled brat who would force Perse to do things for her sometimes as she was more devout to Holoan religion than her parents, or for other things, but wouldn't hesitate to throw him under the bus if she was going to get in trouble for it. But, well, he didn't really have a lot of choice in the matter.
🔥However, everything she didn't know came crashing down on her one day when through happenstance, a human fellow servant comes in for something Aspen needed, recognized Perse and well. that's actually her bio mom. Who is very shaken up over all this. Aspen was there and both were in denial of it, especially for the fact that they shared a father, and Aspen despised both father and Perse over it. Both keep it secret with Aspen holding it over Perse and being crueler than usual over it until she just can't take it anymore and snaps. During her outburst the room is set on fire, burning Aspen in the process, and she narrowly manages to escape with her life. She has a rough time braving the elements, nearly dying in the process, but a new friend and a team from Revelasia heading back to base brings her survival.
🔥And even there the drama doesn't fully end. She's met with suspicion by one of the leaders (who, while she doesn't know it yet, is Neve) for using a different name when joining and her... interesting situation. But she does not only verify her claims but also Revelasia takes part in an ironic joint operation with the Regime to take down the Chadwick couple, and Aspen is taken into Regime custody. Neve is also. very blunt and bad at softness so she's handed some. pretty rough information about Mr. Chadwick's monitoring of her, and that she was initially conceived to be a personal soldier for him. Covering up Aspen's powers just ended up taking priority and plans changed.
So yeah! uh! pretty fucking rough! She despises him and is glad he's dead, and has a lot of resentment towards Aspen as well.
☙ As far as Dlennverse goes, her family is much less influential, but still unpleasant. I wanna have a little secrets since some of it may or may not be coming up during innmys ehe (also not gonna lie i still have stuff to figure out there i can't purely be coy and say it's a secret)
I also offer some character tokens by the lovely @vihala for them! I think you can tell who's who, but Perse is on the top and Aspen is on the bottom. I love cinematic parallels and designing them to be very opposite to each other. I had a lot of fun with their designs and I'm very grateful to Kat for putting together Aspen for me based on all the ideas and references I put together since I was having a rough wrist day at the time.

Guess who gathered enough mind to finally write her full backstory of Western Verse. Her being a bounty hunter is set in the Wild West time period (1865-1895), there is no current year(s) to set her story in mainly because I don't want to make a mistake messing up the timeline.
Tumblr media
Calm before the storm
Her father, Attila a lesser Hungarian noble whom supported the 1848-1849 revolutionary war but after the failure of it he escaped emigrated to America to avoid the Habsburg revenge, soon followed by his brother Gábor. He could save a small amount of his fortune along with his two most important horses: a purebred Lipizzan stallion and an extremely rare Akhal Teke mare. He had settled near a small town, due to his financial situation and education as a noble he established a school with the support and approval of the local church. To quieten his guilt for abandoning his country in its peril, he poured all of his heart into educating children; at least he is still useful in some way.
One day, a group of artists traveling artists, acrobats traveled through the town and the aristocrat fell in love at first sight. She was like the queen of fairy from the folk tales he'd heard in his childhood, she was tall, blue eyes sparkled like light sapphire, long golden brown hair floated ethereally with every twirl. The smitten lord shamelessly courted the the graceful acrobat, determined to know at least the name.
The group had stayed in the town for a few weeks, allowing Attila's and Myra's romance to blossom; after a month she ended up staying with him, just like in true fairytales.
My obsession with angst backstory strikes again
The lord was in love, deeper than poets could express it. Since the loss of his home and country he had found his place in the universe along with the perfect companion by his side. He paid less attention to the school, the church and other public affairs; it wasn't like he abandoned them but became more withdrawn to spend time with the love of his life, especially after the birth of their daughter. She was almost the perfect miniature of her mother, same beautiful hair glinting gold in the sunlight, only her eyes were the brightest emerald green he'd ever seen.
While Myra's heart and aura was as pure as a fairy's; the local church was beyond distressed. They claimed that Attila had completely abandoned helping those in need because of her wicked seduction. When they witnessed her performing for the amusement of the crowd, the 'temptress witch' brand couldn't be lifted. They gathered a few enthusiastic townsfolk whom shared their views and a few morally questionable men whom only wanted a piece of the lord's fortune.
10 year old Karma was awakened from her deep slumber by her frantic father; smoke and yelling blinding her senses as he carried her out of the burning house into the nearby forest so the mob won't find her. He promised her he will be back but he had to return into their home for Myra; he couldn't leave her inside. Karma watched her dad disappear into the flames, the air filled with suffocating smoke and religious shouts for god to smite the sinners. She couldn't tear her eyes away from the spot where her father was gone, waiting for her parents to stumble out of the half collapsed building; but that never had happened. She sat unmoving from her spot, struck staring into the flames then into the ashes as the sun has risen.
Birth of the marksman
Attila's brother, Gábor arrived the next day after hearing the news, he was the one whom found Karma still staring at the ruins in a catatonic state. He couldn't avenge his sibling as it meant endangering his niece and she has lost more than enough.
Gábor expected her to become a soft spoken, reserved lady once she overcame her trauma; that theory was soon abandoned when once he had awoken to his niece practicing with his rifle outside with frighteningly great accuracy. The young girl naturally had an extraordinary aim and after a few long talks, he'd seen the determination burning in her to avenge the murder of her parents. Given by her mother's dance lessons, she was also flexible and capable of many different acrobatic moves; this combined with her aim proven to be a very dangerous combination.
To not awaken suspicion he told his friends Karma was an orphan whose parents were killed by bandits and he had adopted her to give her a family and education. Karma was fascinated chasing greater heights of her skills, this involved reading every possible book about anatomy, marking, engraving the useful spots of the body. Karma knows where to shoot to disarm, to cause a slow death, to paralyze, to disable for life and when it is only a warning: an injury which will heal with time. Along with her accuracy, her drawing speed only can be compared to lightning. Although she prefers/most comfortable with her dual revolvers (model undecided yet), she is still a menace with shotguns, rifles, flintlocks and even bows due to Gàbor's 'A Hungarian is not a Hungarian if they can't use a bow' mindset.
The bounty hunter quicker than death
Karma had her first official gunfight at the age of 18 on the auction. for Vihar (Storm), the filly of her father's horses.
Detailed post about Vihar
She officially entered the bounty hunter business when she was 20 and Vihar was 2, aiming for the most dangerous criminals whom committed the worst acts possible. In her early years after the kill she slit open corpses she trying to find the bullet, surverying the damage it caused and adding filler information to her anatomy knowledge. Of course she didn’t bother burying the bodies, she knew as a woman she has to be extremely vicious above talented to be hired and mutilated dead bodies did send a great message & served as cement for building her reputation. The name Karma wasn't entirely her idea, many thankful family members claimed that karma has came for their loved ones' murderers. Her talent spread like wildfire among the men of law, glad to be rid of the dangerous scum; with careful planning, use of environment and Vihar as backup she had wiped out gangs, not solely focused on individuals.
Unfortunately her reputation summoned an unofficial grand price on her head as well in certain circles; they had tracked her back to her uncle's house. The battle claimed Gábor's life and nearly her sight as her right eye was almost slashed out. The new loss opened old wounds: her not being able to protect her loved ones. She couldn't look into a mirror, the scar a reminder how despite all years of training she wasn't untouchable; after burying her uncle plan to gain control over her psyche already formed.
She took a knife and carefully carved four half circles around her eye to form a crosshair with her pupil being the middle of it. She made sure she kept the wounds open for enough time to scar as visibly as the vertical cut; she wanted a symbol to add to her legend. Excuse my pathetic excuse of an edit, I'm not good in this, nor I can draw.
Tumblr media
Now Karma is 25, Vihar is 6, both of them in their peak physical prime; the name Vihar is also symbolic a little, Karma is the lightning to her horse. She is dancing on the thin edge of bounty hunting and being an outlaw as she often takes...side jobs to help people who deserve it and usually that person doesn't have a bounty on their head, therefore it is technically murder.
Local antisocial feral monk & cocky gunslinger feral lady / addition of the AU with the amazing @mr-mansnoozie
Near her uncle's house, Karma had discovered a cave and a grumpy mute monk living in it along with his pet bear. The monk, Sandy eventually became a second uncle to the traumatized angry orphan, he taught her how to move & creep upon someone soundlessly, disappear without a trace, cover her stances and behavior patterns of various animals. Before and after returning from a job she always visits her uncle of choice for a chat; a silent way to prepare him to the possibility of her not coming back. But she always do. She considers Sandy as part of her tiny family, although his...copying mechanisms with his own traumas were a bit strange to get used to; she adapted quite fast, after all who is she to judge with a past like that?
I'm a dead man walking, Hell's at my door.
aka collection of small headcanons
🎯 Her dual revolvers are called Salvation and Damnation because she's dramatic
🎯 Karma has a small sketchbook filled with anatomy drawings for further practice.
🎯 She actually can sing, but rarely does, only to Vihar since she never received positive feedback on it. Her voice is gritty, rugged and deep; definitely not the usual and desired sounding from a woman.
🎯 If her target was an outstandingly cruel bastard and/or one of those whom killed her parents she uses a little psychological torture. After fatally wounding them she starts whistling (for the most terrifying experience wear headphones & close your eyes while listening) as they try to crawl away or beg for mercy. The first time the whistle gets shrill & more intense is when she lazily reloads, knowing she has both the time and the upper hand. The second pace shift is when she aims; she shoots during the last, long drawn out high note.
🎯 This is her only verse where Cindy is afraid, no terrified of fire; during her....26 AU's she's always been associated with fire despite dying in or being wounded by it. In this verse she is more tied to lightning, the scent of smoke is enough to send her into a silent panic attack and despite loathing the cold she will never sit close to the fireplace. Her other deep fears include injuring her hands & sight and losing Vihar. Her horse is the only remaining family member of hers, she can't fail her too.
🎯 Most of Karma's scars, injuries are a result of her standing between Vihar and a knife/bullet/ even a bullwhip when a criminal was smart enough to catch on their deep emotional bond.
🎯 She has recurring night terrors about the night her parents died, she always wakes up in cold sweat; she's sort of used to them. Though, sometimes she still cries but thankfully Vihar is there to comfort her.
🎯 Karma has a special morning stretch routine to keep her flexibility and warm up her hands & keep them steady and fast.
🎯 Due to her dad and uncle she received high quality education
🎯 For the untrained eye, the belt of her hat are simple crosses while in reality, they are inverted crosses to symbolize her stance with Christianity
Tumblr media
🎯 Karma's middle name is Emerald, given by her father due to her eye color.
🎯 Karma was first inspired by League of Legends Miss Fortune because that name alone is great but unfortunately she is too pirate coded for a western so I abandoned the relation. Though when Karma is not being the 'Call me a slow reader but I only made it to the Dead part, the or Alive didn't register.' ; her personality is similar to hers.
🎯 Due to her dad, Karma is actually half aristocrat. Not like she cares about it the slightest; the only indication of noble blood is her idle stance. It is an unconscious mirror of how her father used to hold himself: back straightened to almost impossible point, left arm behind it, right hand resting on the grip of in her case, revolver instead of hilt of a sword.
🎯 If given the chance to live a normal life, she would've grown into a captivating, lively young woman, much like her mother but with the aristocrat elegance of her father; finding a suitor who lives up to her parents' and her standards would've been the challenge of the century.
🎯 Her special move is called Dance of Death. This is used as last resort when she's facing more opponents up to 12, as with her dual revolvers she has 12 bullets without reloading. She mentally marks the stances of all opponents, predicts their movement, firing order and possible way of their bullets before whirling out of her hiding place. Each pose minimizes the chance of getting shot, and with each change of movement two bullets are fired, two men drop dead.
🎯 Her accuracy isn't just 'gun goes boom >:D' but a combination of natural talent, endless practice, movement prediction, sharp, quick thinking & analytical skills and different techniques molten together to utilize them all at once
🎯 Her hair is now as long as her mother's, she always keeps it in a single tight braid to keep it out of the way; without her hat and hair down she actually loses some of her dangerous edge.
🎯 The only physical memory Karma has of her parents is her dad's hussar sword she found underneath the ruins of the house, it was protected by a very thick wooden box & a lock of her mother's hair is tied to the grip. She has hidden it in the nearby forest, her thoughts often wander to it along with the wish to wield it.

Malignant Ending Explained
https://ift.tt/3lh2c5O
This article contains spoilers for Malignant.
In director James Wan’s first horror movie in five years, Malignant, pregnant heroine Madison (Annabelle Wallis) is traumatized early on when her abusive husband (Jake Abel) is slaughtered in their Seattle home by a vicious yet ill-defined killer lurking in the shadows. Madison is further devastated when she learns that she’s lost her baby in the attack—apparently the fourth pregnancy that she has been unable to carry to term, with the earlier ones being three miscarriages.
Her torment continues when she forms a psychic link with the killer, which allows her to watch helplessly as the murderer plows gruesomely through the members of a medical team that we met in the film’s prologue at a Gothic hilltop medical hospital. The killer is named Gabriel—a name that has connections to Madison’s past, her long-repressed memories and those doctors in that long ago chamber of medical horrors.
Who is Gabriel?
Gabriel is a little boy who lives inside my mo…uh, wait a minute, wrong horror movie.
Gabriel is the name of an unseen patient at Simion Medical Hospital, first encountered at the beginning of the movie laying waste to doctors, operating rooms, and electrical systems. Gabriel is also the name of the “imaginary friend” that Madison had when she was a child and living with her adopted parents and sister, Sydney. And of course Gabriel is the killer who murders Madison’s husband and then begins to slaughter the members of the medical team who did something ghastly to him at that horrid hospital. But who or what is Gabriel, and what connection does he have to Madison?
It turns out that Gabriel is Madison’s parasitic twin, born along with her to a teenage girl named Serena May, who gives up her children to the researchers at Simion. At first they thought Gabriel was a massive teratoma—a malignant tumor made up of hair, muscle, tissue, and bone—attached to Madison, then named Emily. But the teratoma was, in fact, a deformed, separate child named Gabriel by his biological mother and attached to Emily via the head and spinal cord, and who could draw energy physically off Emily but could also manipulate her mind since they share a brain.
Horror is a metaphorical genre, so the brilliance of this idea is that Gabriel could be symbolic of something else—in this case, mental illness. While there have been cases of twins forming in the womb but only one making it to term (Stephen King used this idea as the basis for his novel The Dark Half),  Gabriel could also be a manifestation of bipolar disorder or dissociative personality disorder… taken to a horrific extreme.
How Did Gabriel Survive Being Cut Out?
In an act of desperation, the doctors removed as much as they physically could of Gabriel from Emily’s body and left the rest inside her skull, while “suppressing” Emily’s monstrous sibling with powerful drugs. A seemingly recovered Emily, her own memories repressed, was then taken in by her adopted family. But since Gabriel’s consciousness could not be removed completely from Emily—now renamed Madison—and part of his physical body was still inside her, he was therefore “alive” and could speak to Madison in her head. Her “imaginary friend” living rent free in her mind.
As Madison grew into adulthood and got married, she became pregnant several times—and each time Gabriel fed off the life force of the babies inside her, terminating the pregnancies while building back his own strength. It takes a beating by her abusive spouse, which includes a vicious blow to the head, to cause Gabriel to fully wake up. Emerging from within Madison (his skull-like face pokes out of the back of her head, escaping from the gash left by Madison’s husband), he literally uses her body, which he can strengthen and contort. His first act is to kill her husband, but afterward it becomes about revenge for Gabriel as he goes after the medical team that tried to destroy him. He manipulates Madison’s mind so that she sees the murders as “visions” and doesn’t realize she is committing them herself.

Why Gabriel Kept That Woman Alive
At one point relatively early in the film, Gabriel—who we only see in a long black coat and features-obscuring hat—kidnaps a tour guide in the Seattle underground and imprisons her in a decrepit lair. The motivations and implications for these actions unclear. Later, the woman escapes her bonds and tries to flee, only to come crashing through the ceiling of Madison’s living room. That’s right, she was being held in Madison’s attic, which convinces at least one detective that Madison is an accomplice in some way to Gabriel’s crimes.
But Madison claims no knowledge of this and doesn’t even know who the woman is. It turns out that she is Serena May, who was said by the doctors at Simion to be dead, but is very much alive and was tracked down by her son/daughter. Left comatose by her fall, Serena wakes up during the climactic confrontation between Madison, Gabriel, and Sydney in her hospital room. She asks her son to forgive her: “I should have never given you away.” But Gabriel isn’t buying it; he kills Sydney (or so he thinks) and tells Serena that he kept her alive because he wanted her to see the “monster” that he’s become.
Ideas are expressed here about abandoned children, absent parents, nurture versus nature… again, all through the metaphoric lens of horror. To see the abomination that her son has become may be the ultimate cruelty directed at Serena, which is why Gabriel wanted her alive.
Warner Bros. Pictures
Why Gabriel Wanted to Kill Sydney
Partially born but trapped inside his sister’s body, Gabriel is insanely jealous when his consciousness is repressed. When Madison is adopted into a normal, loving family, he is further enraged and uses his then-feeble strength to try and turn Madison against her family in deadly ways. And it seems that over the years, he has saved most of his animosity for Sydney.
During the final confrontation in the hospital room, he says as much, telling Sydney (Maddie Hasson) he’s “saved her for last” because Madison “chose you over me.” This is sibling rivalry taken to an extreme, especially since the angry sibling isn’t even a real child in the true sense of the word. But Gabriel’s hatred of Sydney could also be a manifestation of Madison’s own ambivalent feelings about her adopted sibling, who she may feel inferior to because Sydney is their parents’ actual biological child.
In the end, however, whatever ill feelings Madison may have harbored toward Sydney are overcome as she manipulates Gabriel into thinking he’s killed Sydney when he hasn’t and regains control of her body and mind. Madison, whose life has been defined by the feeling that she was never really part of a family,  tells her adopted sister, “All my life I’ve yearned for a blood connection with someone… yet in the end, it was right in front of me all along. Blood or not, you’ll always be my sister,” as they embrace. So maybe that’s what the movie is about?
And that’s a wrap on Malignant!
cnx.cmd.push(function() { cnx({ playerId: "106e33c0-3911-473c-b599-b1426db57530", }).render("0270c398a82f44f49c23c16122516796"); });
Malignant is in theaters and streaming on HBO Max now.

just finished aa4 and really liked it! quick thoughts:
-apollo has quickly become one of my favorite characters in aa! he really struck that sweet spot between admirable and endearing for me--a hardworking, quick-thinking young man, who grew up as an orphan and clawed his way up to success and a new family in the wrights, and who’s also unrelentingly snarky, can’t whisper for his life, is terrified of heights, and cries over people that he hardly knows. what a dork, i love him. i think they leaned a little heavily on the ‘greenhorn’ aspect of his personality-- quite a few moments where there were things i had figured out but wasn’t allowed to do anything with until another character jumped in and was like “apollo u sweet summer child THIS is the answer”. also i spoiled myself a little and i know that the next two games have “traumatize apollo” as a running theme so a little apprehensive and hoping they at least develop his character well or smth
-mixed feelings about the ‘perceive’ mechanic bc narratively it’s cool as hell but  it was frustrating to crawl through the text looking around for a very slight change in the zoomed-in sprite, especially if it wasn’t clear what they’re fibbing about which is very often. had to use a guide on those parts pretty often. also it’s just like “hey you were twitching! you’re obviously hiding something!” “oh gee you caught me i’ll spill the beans” like i feel like it could’ve been a little more subtle or gradual, idk.
- love apollo and trucy’s relationship so much!! their banter is so cute and funny and they pull off the straight man/funny man routine really well. ik nick and maya have a similar thing but the vibes were just different, for some reason. they had very strong sibling vibes (even before the reveal), which i loved. them being half-siblings was pretty contrived (like a lot of things in this game and this series lmao) but i dont really mind too much
-on a related note, why can’t they know that they’re siblings. when’s the “right time” to tell them. why can’t they just reunite with their mother who has her memories back and loves them. phoenix wh
-on another related note i can understand how jaded and disillusioned phoenix got after he got disbarred but i honestly didn’t like the whole “mysterious cryptic mentor playing 4d chess” schtick that the game pulled. it feels ooc, especially considering you briefly play as present-day him in the final case and his internal monologue doesn’t seem too different from original trilogy phoenix, or at least the phoenix you see before disbarment in the final case (although i was rly invested in finishing up the case and wasn’t paying that much attention to phoenix’s characterization specifically, so i might’ve missed stuff). phoenix’s arc of growth was great and complete in t&t and it feels like they just...gave him a whole new personality. also phoenix goes back to being a lawyer in the next two games...does he just revert back to being regular ol phoenix? idk, maybe i’m missing some stuff right after my first playthrough but it just felt weird.
-plot was really convoluted and contrived even for ace attorney (havent played aa5 or 6 yet, so idk if it gets worse). lamiroir just happened to be apollo and trucy’s mom, if zak had just been frank with phoenix and given the original diary page to him OR valant hadn’t tampered with the crime scene this whole thing could’ve been avoided. why did zak want to take down phoenix in poker to the extent of planting cards on him to make it look like he cheated when phoenix was the one who defended him in court and he’s the one taking care of his daughter??
-way too many flashbacks to things that happened 5 real life minutes ago
-g u i t a r ‘ s  s e r e n a d e
-kind of wish they had done more with trucy. i liked her but i feel like there was potential, especially since the game implies that she’s putting on a brave front for apollo, and i wish they had expanded on that a little more. like....her birth father who had been presumed dead for years ends up being alive right up until mere months before the reveal. she’s the one that ends up delivering the forged evidence into phoenix’s hands as a child, even though she was completely unaware of it at the time. she and phoenix latch onto each other pretty quickly, which was very cute, but we get little insight to how she thinks of her biological father, who we can tell she loved and misses but not much else. maybe i’m just digging for angst, idk, but it still felt like there could’ve been more. (also i really wanted more phoenix-being-a-dad content!! be a dad to ur daughter sir!!)
-klavier was pretty good! it was refreshing to have a prosecutor that wasn’t after ‘perfection’ or had a vendetta against defense attorneys/the protag, but he still managed to come off as a competent opponent. his whole rockstar persona was very cheesy but i liked it lol. (also really hilarious to me that the third case starts with him giving discounted tickets to trucy and apollo, his opponents in actual legal court) also i knew people shipped him and apollo but i wasn’t expected the game to be so forthright with it. like how else are you supposed to interpret klavier saying “i’m used to being inspected by the ladies but this is the first time ive felt like this with a man”????
-ema skye!!! loved her and glad to see her in a spotlight role but it was just kind of sad seeing her perpetually grumpy. ik people didn’t like that there were so many forensic touchpad/mic minigames but i didn’t really mind it, they were kinda fun if sometimes a little tedious
-i for sure thought that valant had been directly involved with the murder in turnabout serenade (my initial theory was that valant was masquerading as daryan during set 3 while daryan shot letouse, which was why 2nd guitar was off during the recording). also i hated daryan’s hair, why does he have a military grade skunk torpedo on his head,
-wright anything agency adopt vera challenge
-this has already gone on long enough so tl;dr solid 7.5/10 would play again once i forget what happens a little bit

family and (mis)fortune
or, tommy merlyn accidentally part-time joins the batfam
hello, please enjoy and have mercy, pretty much all of my batfam knowledge is informed either by batman: the animated series or tumblr posts. be gentle with me, i know so little about jason todd, i’m doing my best
this meta developed over whatsaspp in messages to @andyouweremine, @acheaptrickandacheesyoneline, and @storiesofimagination
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just a fun little notion to mull over: Malcolm Merlyn dies/disappears (hallelujah) in the two years after his wife’s death and leaving his child behind. Accident and happenstance bring Tommy Merlyn, orphan, to the attention of Bruce Wayne. And thus Tommy becomes a part time foster sibling to the batfam
(lol the above was supposed to be it, the end, literally the entire whole thing, but then all the rest happened)
Like. Say Bruce (probably he knew Rebecca?) takes over custody of Tommy. For the sake of the boy and his clear attachment to the Queens, especially Oliver, Bruce has Tommy enrolled as a boarding student at Starling Academy. So the boys still get to spend the school year together, and sometimes in the summer or over holidays Oliver visits in Gotham
And Tommy is pretty much just a part time addition to the Bruce Wayne orphans-who-eerily-resemble-me collection, so it’s several years before he catches on even a little to what Bruce and older foster brother Dick get up to after dark
But eventually he DOES find out. And maybe he doesn’t suit up too, but Bruce can’t have one of his kids knowing about Batman and not prepared to protect himself so he gets a lot of the same training
(Meanwhile Tommy grows up with siblings and a father figure(s)—heyyy Alfred—who show him care and don’t abuse him. And maybe even therapy. But also he gets to maintain his closeness to Oliver and even Thea because he still spends most of the year in Starling)
As a better adjusted dude all around Tommy is probably a moderately better influence on Oliver. Like he can’t change everything but maybe things are mitigated. Then the gambit still goes down (probably Malcolm didn’t actually die after all? He just went deep into the league or whatever and continued to influence things in Starling towards the Undertaking from the shadows?)
In the wake of that Tommy moves to Starling full time and insists to everyone including Bruce that Oliver is still alive etc etc. he doesn’t give up hope (although also maybe he doesn’t get involved with Laurel? Maybe.) and then Oliver actually comes back
More or less most of canon stuff goes on except now you have a Tommy who eats breakfast casually with Batman and multiple Robins and has training and has been inside the Batcave and knows what it looks like when someone he loves is not doing a great job of a) hiding how deeply traumatized they are and b) concealing their vigilante side gig
(@acheaptrickandacheesyoneline contributed: "Oliver, you need to get better excuses"
"Excuses for what?"
"Like that. Right there"
To which i responded: “Look I know the reckless playboy thing seems like an awesome cover story at first but trust me, if you don’t balance it right it just makes everything more work than it’s worth”)
Bruce calling Tommy ostensibly just to check in with his foster son but non-covertly actually sniffing around about this murderous new vigilante in Starling
Tommy very awkwardly and transparently lying that he has no idea who it could possibly be
Tommy tries to crack bad jokes about how he just seems to attract cape and cowl types to wherever he lives and Bruce heaving the longest sigh on record because Tommy and Dick really are way too similar for Bruce’s mental health
Also in this headcanon Bruce was definitely like early 20s when he took in Dick so he was like maaayyybe 27 when he took in Tommy. Putting him younger than 40 or just over at time of Oliver’s return. So Bruce is like barely older than Diggle
Okay my math wasn’t great. So if Dick is a few years older than Tommy and Oliver and Bruce adopted him at like 22, let’s say Bruce is 24 when Rebecca dies and Tommy is 8... 26 when he takes custody of Tommy... which means he’s actually like 43 at time of Oliver coming back from the dead (subject to change, i’m bad at math!)
The way I picture it is that Bruce knew Rebecca (maybe their families knew each other??) and went to her funeral, where he observed the lost looking, clearly devastated eight year old that widower Malcolm was too busy brooding furiously to attend to. Bruce never liked Malcolm. They’d met a few times over the years and he always thought Rebecca could have done better. Malcolm always stuck Bruce as oily and shark eyed. Something cold and hungry under the surface of his charming facade. But Rebecca seemed happy with him so it wasn’t his business
That boy though. The image of that grieving boy, his whole world snatched away and not even a kindly butler to hold his hand at the graveside, that stays with Bruce, nags at him. He checks up on the remaining Merlyns from a distance after returning to Gotham. He’s unsettled and unhappy when he learns Malcolm has run off, leaving his young son behind with some hired help and power of attorney vested in his friend Robert Queen. He follows the situation for two years. When Malcolm returns he’s hopeful Tommy’s life will go better than Bruce’s did, but Malcolm only leaves again all too soon. And then he disappears. His plane goes down or something (who even cares as long as Malcolm is gone-zo, pfft bye bitch). And Tommy is truly alone, an orphan in name as well as circumstance now
Bruce knows there’s no other family to claim Tommy. He knows the boy is staying with the Queens at the moment, that Robert has guardianship, but it’s also apparent they’re in no rush to formalize the situation to anything more permanent. Bruce decides to go to Starling himself and see what will become of Tommy
It’s immediately obvious the Queens are a mess. Infidelity and fighting and periodic separation between Moira and Robert. Moira is just recently pregnant. And she seems anxious and uneasy about Tommy. Even as she does seem to care about him, she also seems determined to keep him at arm’s length. However it’s just as obvious that despite all this, Tommy and the Queen boy might as well be brothers for as close as they are
It’s clearly not an ideal situation. Bruce being Bruce decides he’s just gonna fix things. But when Moira catches wind of it she goes oddly protective and it leads to a face off between the two of them. Moira hits Bruce about being too young, unmarried, having no prior relationship with Tommy, living so far from everything Tommy knows.
Bruce hits back with brutal truths, the killing blow that Moira clearly has no intention of making Tommy part of her own family. Robert may have slightly more ground to stand on, but ultimately they all know that if the Queen marriage falls apart, it’s not Robert who would take custody of Tommy in the aftermath of another family disintegration
And so with the cooperation of Moira and Robert and a lot of money, Bruce becomes Tommy’s legal guardian and works out with the Queens an arrangement that has Tommy in boarding at the same school Oliver attends and charges Moira and Robert to act in loco parentis for daily or immediate matters. Moira will eventually unclench and let Tommy connect easily with Oliver and even Thea, because with Malcolm gone she doesn’t have that fear about her baby girl and her secret half brother putting her family at risk
And then @storiesofimagination was sad that there would be less Thea/Tommy sibling shenanigans in this AU, to which I said:
Oh but there will still be plenty of that! Because Tommy spends most of his school years largely in Starling and a lottttt of time at the Queen home. And Moira isn’t as uneasy about Tommy adoring Thea and vice versa because with Malcolm gone/presumed dead she’s less worried about her indiscretion being exposed
So @andyouweremine asked if Dick and Oliver get along
Dick is a few years older than Tommy and Oliver so he probably didn’t spend loads of time with them during Oliver’s visits? Not none though. Tommy thinks Dick is absurdly cool so Oliver might have been a little bit jealous but also thinks Dick is cool. Dick almost definitely thrives on the fact that living human beings think he is cool
But yeah. Dick. Dick is probably weird about Tommy at first. Is this a threat? A rival? Nope it’s a shy goofy kid who thinks Dick is way funnier than Bruce does and looks up to him and he’s only around for holidays and summers so he’s the best part time little brother ever
They get on like a house on fire probably. So many bad jokes. So many. Bruce probably hides from the puns down in the Batcave even when there’s no mission because Dick can either hang out with Tommy or annoy Bruce in the super secret crime fighting lair but not both
Tommy loves the hell out of Alfred. He’s like Raisa, only Tommy gets to keep him
Alfred is just pleased to have a charge he doesn’t have to semi regularly do sutures for
If we’re going full batfam, Tommy and Jason probably can’t stand each other most of the time, but it’s mostly because Jason is extremely prickly and acts out wildly (younger days, obv)
Years later when Tim arrives on the scene, Tommy delights in being the older brother at last. They don’t have tons in common but they get along well enough
AND THEN, because @andyouweremine campaigned to ship Tommy/Dick because both Tommy Merlyn and Dick Grayson are as bi as they come:
Tommy would absolutely have the world’s most awkward crush on Dick at least in his teens. He so would though. Dick would probably be his bisexual awakening. Oliver would get sick of hearing about it. Tommy just looks up one day at like 14-15 while Dick is tooling around the house doing dumb acrobatic impressive-feats-of-athletic-dumbassery and there’s all those taut muscles and a flash of rock hard abs and suddenly Tommy needs to go to his bunk excuse himself to his bedroom to freak out privately that apparently he also likes boys now and ugh WHY THIS ONE
(later in life he’ll somewhat bitterly lament that his type seems to be “taboo.” probably he mentions this to Jason when they are both adults and sharing a beer and doing some extremely rare bonding, and Jason shoots him one hell of a side eye like “Please tell me you’re not into underage girls because I will kill you and I won’t feel bad.”
And Tommy barks a mortified laugh and says “No. Jesus Christ, no, I mean people—adult people!—that I should stay away from, because I should know better or they’d never be into me or, uh,” sweating nervously, hoping his face isn’t telegraphing DICK GRAYSON  or OLIVER QUEEN to someone trained by the actual Batman, “other reasons.”)
And you know, Tommy probably doesn’t find out about his foster dad and foster brother being Batman and Robin until he’s like 16-17. So right before Dick stops being Robin/Jason arrives on scene
Not telling Oliver about kills him
And he’s probably torn between reactions. Excited/in awe that his found family are actual superheroes. A little self conscious and insecure that his found family are superheroes but he’s just... him. Stressed that Bruce and Dick are regularly putting themselves in danger. A little off balance and hurt because Bruce Dick and Alfred have all been keeping this secret from him for years
Eventually he knows why they didn’t tell him. Because it’s so hard not to tell Oliver. He doesn’t actually want to brag to the world and he’s not dumb enough to just accidentally give it away, but not telling Oliver is excruciating, and Oliver can probably tell there’s something Tommy is hiding from him all of a sudden.
It probably puts a new and awful strain on their relationship, but Tommy finally puts the words together to beg Oliver to understand that he has to keep someone else’s secret. That it’s important and not his to tell and that that’s the only reason he wouldn’t tell Oliver something. Things are still stiff for a little while but Oliver accepts it eventually. Especially after Tommy likens it to how just because Tommy has told Oliver he’s bi it wouldn’t be okay for Oliver to tell somebody else Tommy was bi without Tommy’s permission
And so, after Tommy finds out that he’s part of the actual batfam, Bruce makes him train. Not to take up a mask but to be prepared to protect himself if what he now knows were ever to endanger him
Tommy actually doesn’t want to take up a mask. He’s never been a big “family business” guy, even if he did intern at Wayne enterprises last summer
The strain of keeping Bruce’s secret from Oliver was bad enough. Tommy can’t imagine keeping it secret from Oliver if that same secret was his own
(After all, Tommy may have interned at Wayne enterprises but so did Oliver. He stayed with the Waynes the whole summer and Bruce was never more stressed out in his life over things not directly related to costumed villainy)

Tell us your OCs. I. Have. Intrigue
oh okay um-
first off here’s a link to the masterlist
second a quick explanation of all my non-fandom ocs’ universes i guess? putting them under a cut cos they are LONG… sorry if you just wanted a brief summary of the characters themselves i just saw an opportunity to info dump about all the worldbuilding i’ve done and i took it
the universe with all of the animal ocs (Skye-Inklii on the masterlist) is definitely my most worked-on universe to date cos of all the semi-connected stories in it, the complexity of the world, and the pantheon i’ve kind of come up with? basically it takes place on a continent that has yet to be named but it’s a big place in the middle of an ocean called the Sparkling Sea. the continent is divided into multiple “Kingdoms,” all surrounding the Royal City (where the most important families live) in the middle of the continent. these kingdoms include the Ocean Kingdom (basically a huge gulf connected to the Sparking Sea filled with water-dwelling people, who aren’t mermaids but do have gills and stuff along with the general frame of land-dwellers) and the Smoldering Kingdom (formerly a prosperous matriarchy that was a hotspot (hah) for trading, next to a volcano. almost completely desolated by a conflict commonly known as the Brushfire War, with Ka being the only survivor. residents here were often confused for actual fires from afar, considering their particular subspecies often had small flames all over their body, which could not be snuffed out.). the Royal City is surrounded by an area known as the Outskirts (working name), where people like Skye, Pine, and Lavender who didn’t really have any particular elemental traits of any kind or came from a different kingdom lived. this area is known for having a bustling market and a diverse populace, unlike the other kingdoms whose residents almost always look similar. also there’s a royal family in the Royal City that rule most of the continent (each Kingdom has their own government but really the royal family is up top). the royal family has a royal scientist (undertale influenced a bunch of this ok), currently Hawthorn, previously his father Bramble. Bramble did a bunch of bad stuff so I’m not gonna dwell on him. garbageboy stinkman belongs in the toilet
the universe with Hazel and the ghosties is a universe where basically it’s almost the same as real life but magic, ghosts, demons, and angels exist and it’s not as technologically advanced (phones exist but color tv does not and people don’t rely as much on technology) Hazel and Michael/Virus both have some angel and some demon blood, Michael having more demon than angel and Hazel with vice versa, both having wings of some sort due to this. both their parents are basically human but their descendants (from a time where demons and angels were free to walk the earth) had children with demons/angels and some of those traits got passed down. it’s very rare to pass down traits from one of these entities (about 1 in 1,000 for just one) but Ezekiel/Chance got very lucky and got a little of both, compared to his siblings Cassidy/Jinx and Lisa/Boo who got nothing (but after becoming ghosts Jinx did get some demon traits and Boo got some angel traits). not all ghosts are friendly so those with an affinity for locating the undead are hired to exorcise houses and whatnot, called “ghosters.” Michael was one of the more famous ghosters and so he’s commonly called upon to help in areas, so he and Hazel traveled a lot. i should also mention that with certain rituals one can summon a ghost to help with something (finances, love, etc.) but it’s very hard to pull off (to stabilize a ghost and keep it from returning to the afterlife you have to make a very special necklace from specific gemstones depending on the ghost, and one for yourself to make sure the ghost can’t hurt you and it has to obey your orders (although you can free it to do what it wishes if you want)) anyways there’s a really dangerous demon that broke free from a seal placed on it hundreds of years ago commonly referred to as the Stalker, the Nothing, and things like that. Michael unknowingly accepted a job to rid an abandoned house in a quaint little town of this thing, and brought Hazel with him. it uh… didn’t go well :D this thing HATES angels cos a half-angel sealed it away so it attempted to kill Hazel because she bears a strong resemblance to the being that sealed it away. Michael didn’t like that so he barely managed to seal it away for a few more years but got like,,, a LOT of vital organs ripped out in the process. this, understandably, traumatized Hazel cos that was her last living family member being ripped to shreds in front of her so she went back to the town where she, first, scared 99% of the population cos she was DRENCHED in blood but then she got cleaned up and sent to a nearby orphanage where she was immediately adopted by a p mean family cos they thought she could summon a ghost to make them rich? she ended up summoning Virus (who didn’t recognize her cos ghosts lose most of their memories except for their moment of death, Chance is an exception), and then Jinx, Chance, and Boo all at once cos they died within a few minutes of each other. this took a hard right into backstory territory so imma move on
Gardenia and Ashe live in a world where, rarely, children will be born with their souls basically attuned to an element of nature (often with different subclasses) or creature. these phenomenons are called elementals and mutants, respectively. even rarer, however, is a child being born as both. Gardenia was born without eyes, with the left side of her face being just smooth where her eye should be and the right having a, well, gardenia growing in the place of an eye. also when she bleeds small flowers grow in the wound, which was assumed to be a sort of defense mechanism to plug the wound. because of these, when she was born, she was designated a plant elemental of the flower subclass. ashe was born part-fire elemental, part-salamander mutant. they both ended up at a school specifically for elementals and mutants where they could learn not to destroy things, which is where these two met in about 7th grade? they stayed friends since then and eventually fell in love (even if Gardenia couldn’t see Ashe, she loved her personality and her voice). probably the only universe with no murder so far
Meredy and Connor are robotic entities known as “mechae,” Meredy being made to entertain while Connor was made to fix. these entities were mass-produced to help humans in a futuristic society. they are made with 6 chips: Empathy, Ethics, Functionality, Memory, Intelligence, and Personality. if one of these chips break the entire mecha basically breaks and has to be recalled. Nikki is just a reclusive mechanic who works with Connor because xe saved him from being scrapped after faulty wiring and a broken Functionality chip were discovered upon his activation, causing him to frequently experience small shocks that either overload his system and shut him down or just make him unable to move for a few minutes. Nikki is trying to fix him up but for now just hides him from the public because xe doesn’t want him to be taken away from xir. Meredy is just a broken entertainment mecha whose Functionality and Ethics chip went haywire during a performance, causing uh... not great things? no one died but they got p injured cos metal is heavy and she ran away, eventually getting to Nikki’s shop after they met in a back alley while Meredy was hiding and Nikki was fishing for parts. that’s basically all i have for now
oh christ where do i start with the zodiacs. okay lady fate got sick of having to look after EVERYONE after they died so she basically chose 15 random people (1 for each zodiac sign except for Gemini and Pisces, who got 2) and made it so when they die (mostly by unfortunate circumstances) they go to a special place in the afterlife where every dead person is called their Dominion (i. e. Aquarius Dominion, Taurus Dominion, etc.), and every person in this world goes to the Dominion corresponding to their zodiac sign where the corresponding Zodiac... doesn’t exactly rule over them but controls the Dominion in a way? they basically get to decide what everything looks like and stuff and they get to live in a big ol mansion with everything they could ever need. all of the Dominions are spread in a circle around a central area known as the Hub where people from different signs can intermingle. the entire area has this neat little feature where once you die and get there, any physical ailments are gone. couldn’t walk while you were alive? well now you can! missing one or more limbs? you can choose to get cool substitute limbs made of sparkling ether that function like normal limbs! were you experiencing gender dysphoria in life? your new body fits your preferred gender! finally, you get a necklace or other piece of jewelry that designates your sign so people can tell what you are! i haven’t worked on this world as much cos i didn’t have too many ideas at first but i really like it :o
Endris and Kyu are demons under service of the Demon King. Endris is a demon species known as a Kahre, a genetically engineered soldier race, but his test tube broke and it was too dangerous to put him in a new one so he’s just smol and ended up as a personal servant to the king. Kyu is a Senru, a general/advisor race, who’s like... a giant suck-up. he mostly refers to Endris as “defect” unless he’s saying that Kyu needs to go speak with the king for a bit because then he’s all sunshine and rainbows. there are also the Erina, small scientists and doctors, and Wisps, tiny lil servants that are often formed when a new soul enters the Underworld. i really liked designing all the demons for this universe and i’m prolly gonna make more uwu
Carrie and Zade just live in a normal world? like they could totally be real people in real life and their stories wouldn’t change. Zade, who is Carrie’s best friend since they were toddlers, is a trans guy, so he was having all sorts of anxiety when he had to explain to her why he would rather not be called the name she’s been referring to him as for 10 years. she was definitely fine with it though. as long as he’s happy, she’s happy! but Zade started transitioning in like 8th grade so most other people weren’t as nice cos middle school sucks, and Carrie was basically his only friend for a while. Carrie eventually figured out (mistakenly, i might add) that she was the reason Zade was getting bullied so she assumed that if she was gone he would be happier and have more friends so uh... she did a self oof? her assumption was wrong, obviously. but people did leave him alone for a while to let him grieve.
sorry for the dark turn at the end? but yeah that’s a basic explanation of most of my original universes \ ( -ワ- ) / if you have any questions feel free to ask! also PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know if i’m being offensive in any way in any of these??? i really don’t want to offend anyone but i’m an idiot so yeah i probably screwed up a lot

Is Baby Hiro adopted as an infant or did his brother happen to be married to Fred when the accident happened?
…Honestly I can’t decide??? Both options are so cute???? So ideas for both!!!!!!!!!!!! XD
Option A: Fred was never sold one way or the other on being a parent but Tadashi’s been destined to be a dad since he was born, even as a kid he would carry around dolls that he “adopted” (fortunately Aunt Cass was very chill about letting Tadashi play with whatever toys he wanted, and she’d have bought him nice ones from the store if he wanted but Tadashi actually preferred picking out abandoned ones from thrift stores and garage sales because he thought it was sad that they didn’t have homes anymore.) So Fred new early on in the relationship that being with Tadashi long term would mean kids eventually and he was very much okay with that so maybe about a year after getting married they started looking into adoption. I think they might have actually adopted Hiro when he was a few years old because Tadashi knew that most people want to adopt babies and he wanted to give a home to a kid who would have a harder time getting a home. Tadashi and Fred met Hiro at a group home, and when Tadashi saw Hiro working on a robotics lego kit that was meant for much older kids but Hiro actually seemed to know what he was doing he was just immediately like, “…That’s him. That’s going to be our son.” And then Hiro looked up and he saw those big puppy eyes and he was just done. As soon as he was allowed to go walk around and talk to the kids he went right over to Hiro and started talking to him, and Hiro was kinda scared at first but Tadashi was so enthusiastic about the robot he was working on and started talking to him about the robots that he’d built (I’m imagining Baymax is pretty well known at this time) that Hiro warms up to him really quickly (which is rare for him, according to the people at the home Hiro never talked to any other visitors before, he barely even talks to the other kids or the people in charge.) Fred kinda wanders around saying hi to all the kids but he can immediately tell that Tadashi wants Hiro. And he’s totally fine with that but he’s kinda nervous at the same time because Hiro seems so smart and he’s got so much in common with Tadashi but will he have anything in common with him? And then finally he makes his way over to Tadashi and Hiro and Hiro sees that his shirt has Captain America’s shield on it and immediately lights up and starts talking about how much he loves superheroes and Fred’s just like, “Okay, yes, this is definitely our son.” And as soon as they go through the whole legal process Hiro comes home with them and has been with them ever since
Option B: (MAJOR ANGST WARNING AND HOMOPHOBIA TRIGGER WARNING AS WELL *nope, I’m totally not still bitter about the shit that happened to me when I came out and I’m definitely not projecting onto fictional characters ^^;*) Tadashi came out to his parents when he was nineteen and he brought Fred over for dinner to introduce him to them as his boyfriend. It… Did not go well. Basically he was given half an hour to pack his things and go. He was shattered. Fortunately Fred was there for him, he helped him pack and then took him home with him. Fred called his dad up to make sure it was okay for Tadashi to stay and he immediately said that it was more than okay for Tadashi to stay as long as he needed to. (Tadashi’ did not know about Aunt Cass at the time as his parents had also cut her off for coming out as bi before Tadashi was even born.) Tadashi ended up living with Fred’s family until he and Fred got married and got their own place two years later. They’d been married for about a year when Tadashi got the phone call from the police that his parents had died in an accident. He had very mixed feelings about this, for obvious reasons. What he was not prepared for was finding out that his parents had had another kid in his absence, apparently planning to “start over” and pretend like Tadashi never existed. Tadashi was understandably horrified and slightly bitter about this, but he knew that his little brother (he can hardly believe that he has a little brother) wasn’t to blame for what happened and also he knows that if it’s anything like his upbringing was the poor kid was probably emotionally and psychologically abused and is going to need someone to take care of him. Fred drives him to the hospital (Tadashi’s too shaken up to drive) and when they get there that’s when Tadashi finds out about Aunt Cass’ existence because she had also been called as a relative and both she and Tadashi are eligible for custody of Hiro. Aunt Cass is more than happy to take Hiro in, but as Hiro’s brother she wanted Tadashi to have first say in the matter. Tadashi isn’t sure what his choice is going to be (Fred tells him that he’ll support his decision no matter what his choice ends up being) until he walks into the hospital room and sees Hiro lying in the bed and he’s barely two years old and he’s covered in bruises and cuts from the accident and he’s hooked up to an IV machine and he’s just so fucking tiny and scared and alone and in a moment Tadashi knows that there’s no way that he’s going to let anyone else take Hiro home but him. He goes over to the bed and he’s trying to figure out how to explain to Hiro who he is and then Hiro looks up at him and says in the quietest, most broken way, “Daddy?” And Tadashi fucking loses it because it finally hits him that their parents are gone for good and yeah, he looks a whole hella lot like their dad so of course Hiro’s going to be hoping that it turns out his dad isn’t dead after all and how is Tadashi supposed to explain death and loss to a kid this small? Somehow he manages to stop crying enough to try to explain about the accident to Hiro, but Hiro’s smart, he already figured out what’s happened and he’s just a very alone, scared little kid not knowing what’s going to happen to him. And that’s when Tadashi tells him that he’s his older brother and even though he doesn’t know him very well yet he loves him very much and if he’s okay with it as soon as the doctors tell him that he can go he’s going to take him home with him and take care of him, because that’s what older brothers do. They take care of their little brothers. Cue a hurried few days of the rest of the Nerd Herd rushing to get Tadashi and Fred’s house kid-safe so that the social workers will let Tadashi take Hiro home while Tadashi’s dealing with the tough decisions about funerals and everything else (Aunt Cass is a saint and helps as much as she can) and also trying to look after Hiro. Hiro’s still very, very traumatized and Tadashi looks like his dad and he’s so young that he keeps getting confused because there’s this man who looks and sounds almost exactly like his dad only he’s not but Hiro wants him to be because he doesn’t know how to process the fact that his parents aren’t there anymore. And then one day while Tadashi’s with Hiro a Baymax comes in to check on Hiro and Hiro just lights up because he loves robots and Baymax always is nice and gives him a lollipop for being a good patient and that’s when it clicks for Tadashi how he’s going to get through to this kid, and then next day he brings his own Baymax–the first ever Baymax–and explains to Hiro how he invented Baymax. And Hiro is of course completely in awe but it’s the first time that Tadashi gets the feeling that Hiro understands that he’s not the dad that died, but he’s still someone who loves and cares about him. And about then is when he finally feels okay to bring in Fred (who’s been his rock through all of this) and Hiro has to adjust a bit to this new person and the fact that Tadashi’s married to Fred (because you know his parents were probably doing everything they could to make Hiro think being gay is wrong because they didn’t want their “new son” to “turn out that way”, as if it’s a fucking choice.) But eventually Hiro sees how much Tadashi loves Fred and Fred cares about him too so finally he adjusts, and by the time that he finally gets to go home with them he’s very much okay with being taken care of by his new family. (With Aunt Cass making frequent visits and providing meals and everything else that she can for her nephews, and Fred’s dad also making a point of spoiling Hiro as well.) And even though Hiro never really picks up on calling Tadashi “nii-chan” like Tadashi was trying for (he’s little, he doesn’t quite get that siblings can have such a big age gap) when he starts calling Tadashi “Papa” instead Tadashi accepts it because it means that Hiro wants him taking care of him but he understands that he’s not the same person as their father (and thank goodness for that.) Fred ends up getting the title of “Dad”, because Hiro needs something to call him, and he’s very much fine with it. And you can bet that when Hiro grows up and brings his boyfriend, Ezra, home for the first time Tadashi makes sure it’s the most amazing dinner ever because he’s going to make sure that Hiro has everything he never had. And it’s actually a very, very healing experience for him.
((Sorry this got so long, I just started writing and couldn’t stop! ^^;))

Is it good, bad, or complicated?👧 - What is your muse’s relationship like with their siblings? Who do they get along with best?👶 - If they have any, what is your muse’s relationship like with their children? Do they feel like they’re a good parent?
Send a symbol and I’ll answer the question about my muse.
👨 - What is your muse’s relationship like with their father? Is it good, bad, or complicated?
It depends on things. Because in some form, he technically has two. Sorta. And both are a little bit complicated. In that there’s one dad that he considers his dad, and the other which he shares his genes with. His dad, Robert Monroe, he has a complicated relationship with because there was a strain for a long time. The reason he has two dads is because his mother had an affair and he was an accident. He didn’t know this until he was like 13 years old. But when he did find out, it was kind of a realization why his dad seemed to keep a distance from him, seemed to be more annoyed with him than either of his sisters growing up.
He did eventually grow to really care for Nick, but the distance and the bitterness over things that Nick had no control over did put it in a weird spot. And these days it’s been since before he was possessed since he talked to him. As it stands, his family thinks he’s dead because he’s never gone back, and thus his dad thinks as much.
His relationship toward the idea of his biological dad is also complicated. Because he did eventually meet him when he was younger, like 15-16. And it was weird because he really did try to connect with him, but Scott Harrison ended up being a terrible alcoholic and didn’t really connect with him anyway. He let him try, but it didn’t really work.
And that father died when he was about 17 years old of alcohol poisoning. Which was weird because that was his first experience with a real death, and his first real experience with what one possibility of addiction looked like. And he’s never been sure how he felt about it.
👩 - What is your muse’s relationship like with their mother? Is it good, bad, or complicated?
Same as his dad, his family thinks he is dead because he didn’t go back after Lucifer. Which includes his mother, Aria. However before that he loves his mother and takes a good amount of his personality type from her. He was closer to her than he was his dad. But she still stresses him out sometimes because she’s nosy, and also likes to psychoanalyze. And they were just different enough that they could tend to clash with each other. And probably still would if he did go back.
She had her own amount of bitterness for a minute about her choices that led to Nick as well. Her bitterness faded a lot faster than Robert’s did. Though she still had a bit of a distance from him in some ways.
So it’s complicated as well.
👧 - What is your muse’s relationship like with their siblings? Who do they get along with best?
He has three siblings. Two sisters, and a half-brother. He was only raised with the sisters because they’re part of the Monroe side of it. Eden, the oldest. And Lacey who’s the middle child. Nick is the baby of the family. Technically they’re also half-sisters, but he’s always just considered them sisters. If he went back and said he was alive, or sent them a message saying as much. He would have decent relationships with them with time. He was always varying degrees close to them.
If he went back now it’d probably strained for a while because he’d estranged himself so much that they literally thought he was dead, but it would be able to grow into better again.
His relationship with his half-brother is not good. First, Elijah is a half brother from his biological dad’s other relationship. Elijah is a complicated mess of things and kind of a psychopath. Really seemed nice at first because he was extremely good at being charming and faking it. But there was always something a little bit off about him. Nick is uncomfortable with the idea of him, and often will not mention him if he mentions siblings. There were things that happened when they did meet, Nick doesn’t remember them. Because he blocked it out and has yet to be ready to get those memories in particular back. But he knows somewhere deep down if he ever met him again he wouldn’t want to be in the room alone with him.
As for who he likes best, between his sisters it kinda shifted over time. Initially it was Eden he was closest with because of various reasons. But as he grew up he became extremely close with Lacey, and would probably still feel closest with her if he went back.
👶 - If they have any, what is your muse’s relationship like with their children? Do they feel like they’re a good parent?
So of course he has multiple children, is what we’ll start with. Three or four. Two of which aren’t actually his blood children, and more they’re children of his heart. Even if one of them he wouldn’t say it to his face at this point because he’s not comfortable being considered that by Nick, but Nick reacts to him like he’s his child. And that is actually his piercer in his tattoo shop, Atticus, who is about 23-24. Atticus has not great relations with his parents, so he feels a little uncomfortable currently with the idea of other people sort of adopting him. At least out loud. But Nick would kill someone for that kid. His relationship is really good with Atticus on a friend level outwardly. And still good even with the inward paternal feelings.
There’s of course also Jan. Who he is like best friends with. They have a mutual parent/child type relationship. But they are also just good friends. It’s an odd mix because there are times when he treats her more in a best friend way than a child way. But he’ll always consider her like his child anyway. And it suits them well.
And then his biological children. There’s Toby. Obviously Toby has passed. But I imagine they would’ve had a good relationship given the chance.
There’s also Kaite. His daughter from a situation after Lucifer. He almost kept her, cause he had her with him for a number of months. But he was severely traumatized from Lucifer and other things that followed. And was afraid that once she got old enough that he’d end up making her take care of him because he couldn’t heal the way he needed to with a child and really no one else who was around all the time to help. So he adopted her out.
It was, however, an open adoption. And he had a really specific bond with the adoptive parent. It wasn’t romantic, but it was really good. So she’s allowed him to have her on facebook, so if he looks he occasionally gets updates, he’s sent Kaite things for her birthday under the title of being sort of like a distant uncle. He also gets pictures during especially cute moments, or big milestones. And she’s a really happy kid. He can’t ask for more than that.
But he thinks one day he may be able to meet her when she’d remember him, which he hopes is a good day should she want to. Because he’s got enough of a bond with the adoptive parent even with long strings of time without talking in conversations, that she would let Kaite know it’s okay if she ever wanted to when she got older.
Nick isn’t sure if he thinks himself a good parent or not. He doesn’t consider himself a bad one. But he’s never been in a situation where he could have a child from a younger point and raise them up to be able to say he’d do good with more than either a late teen, a young adult, or a very small baby. Because those are all he has real experience with. But he does consider him a pseudo parent to anyone who wants or needs that from him. Or just anyone who has shitty parents and is young enough to be his kid.

Well, today was actually all around pretty good! It took a LOT of convincing, but I got myself out of bed, thank god. Like, it was really rough lol but I made it happen and of course I was glad I did. Did the whole routine, I think I'm finally getting over cocoa krispies so I'm gonna have to figure out a new breakfast routine. Bus to work, shortly after arriving I get a call from my psychiatrist, also a major thank god. We talked, I told him what was going on and he asked how bad it was, how desperate the situation was. I said it wasn't desperate yet, but it was definitely heading in that direction. Which is honest, but also in the back of my head I don't want to freak my parents out by needing to fly back for the weekend or something for an emergency session, because then I'm worried they'll freak out and not want me to go back to school in the fall and I'm sorry but I am NOT fucking playing that game, okay? I'm gonna finish this shit, no matter what. I'm a big girl and I'm not gonna go running back to my parents every time I hit a depressive slump just because they'd let me or want me to. I can manage this, I know I can. I've done it many times before. We just gotta figure this out. So he ended up upping the newest medication and told me to call him in a week, so hopefully that will be helpful. And yeah, the rest of the day was crazy, mostly because it was crazy productive! Like omg, we got so much done lol. Two motions filed, at least 5 interview requests done, several phone calls, and I finished the response to the motion that I've been working on for several weeks now, so I actually got to the point where I didn't have any pending work and didn't have a million papers strewn all over my desk, which is always a good feeling. And I felt good about being productive because I honestly feel so bad about missing so much time. My boss seems happy to have me there and was happy to get so much done of course, and made a comment like "what would I do without you, you've really become indispensable" so that made me feel good. We still filed the motion for the kid who's still in the psych hospital to get placed, but he got approved for a placement and is *hopefully* getting discharged tomorrow so we can just withdraw the motion on Monday (not as exciting for me, but I'm happy for him). Other major good news, I can't remember if I ever shared the first part of this but back in June when my judge from last semester was supposed to rule on the child death case I poured my heart and soul into for literally months, he only terminated on the two babies and said he wanted to interview the oldest 3, and everyone was pretty upset about it, I was really annoyed. But he interviewed them Friday and I found out today he terminated on all 3! I was so so happy to find this out, it's definitely one of the highlights of working at this job for me. I just poured so much of myself into this case, not just working on that motion (that I spent a solid month devoted to) but also getting to know the foster parents and handholding them through court dates that were disappointing time and time again, and just getting to know this little boy who I never got to meet because he was so terribly failed by the system put in place to protect him. And it made it personal, you know? Of course I knew all the issues the system has already and had heard plenty of stories, but when you find yourself in the thick of it with a dead little boy and 3 siblings who have been traumatized for life (and 2 newborns who will eventually learn that their parents let their brother starve to death 2 days before they were born) and I'm just struck by how incredibly preventable this all could've been. There were unfounded investigations as recent as a month prior to the death. They interviewed the neighbors, they knew, but they didn't tell anyone. The kids were in the system for fuck's sake. And they let them go back home- the judge who's courtroom I'm currently in and the lawyer I currently sit across from let them go back. And I don't blame them, I know they have to live with that weight and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. They couldn't have realistically known. But there were just so many failures along the way. And this is why I will ALWAYS push back against the idea of leaving kids in abusive homes because the foster care system is screwed up. Yeah, it sucks, believe me, I know. But kids left in abusive homes end up dead. People don't report child abuse because they don't want to get involved and kids end up dead. If it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a village to neglect one. YOU have a responsibility to EVERY child in your life to be looking out for their best interest, and if you are concerned for their safety, you NEED to intervene and call CPS. Of course it's not something anyone ever wants to do, especially when it's someone you know and may be close to. But it's infinitely preferable to that child ending up being killed and that parent sent to jail for the rest of their life. Contrary to popular belief, there are happy endings that come out of the foster care system. They're not all that common unfortunately, but they do happen. Kids get returned and live happy lives with their parents. Parents turn their lives around to get their kids back. Kids get adopted by foster parents who show them all the love they should've gotten from their biological parents. It's not every case, but there are happy endings. And a chance at a happy ending is so much better than at best an incredibly scarring childhood and at worst a child dying at the hands of their parent. I'm ranting, I know. But this case, I have to say, it really changed me. It gave me more drive than I ever thought I could have. I didn't think that drive could get any stronger, but it has. It got so much stronger. This little boy I never got to meet has changed my life so much. I'll never forget his name. And I'll fight for all the little boys and girls out there like him, to stop them from suffering the same fate and to find justice for those who unfortunately will. This can't keep happening. It simply can't. Sigh. Anyway. I should get back to my day now. Over lunch I ubered downtown to pick up my new 711 license, finally, so I was happy to get that back. And that was mostly my day at work. At 5 I ended up getting another uber downtown because I didn't want to risk timing on public transit, because I had a 5:30 meeting at school for the summer scholarship thing. It's just a reflection dinner and talking about experiences and such. We did the same thing last year. It was nice. My spring break friend was there, I wasn't expecting to see her because she has a different type of scholarship than I do and she wasn't on the email chain, so that was a nice surprise. I headed out slightly early at 6:40 so I could run down to Target and grab a prescription refill before their pharmacy closed at 7. From there took the red line home, walked and finally got to go to the farmer's market. It was so cute! Not just fruits and veggies but all sorts of vendors, I'm gonna have to go back with more money haha because I wanted so many things. I sampled some blueberry ginger beer which was very good, but had way too much of a kick for me to be able to drink more than a few sips of lol. There was a cheese person there, and on a whim I asked if she had any smoked mozzarella, and to my surprise she said yes (I was expecting her to be like uh, no....) so I bought some of that and oh my lord it is so fucking good, I can't even deal. I already ate like half the pack haha (it's string cheese) and you can tell it's super fresh and it's so superior to the packaged version. I'm just obsessed lol. Came home, had some eggs (because the pizza at the dinner wasn't very filling) and sat down to watch the last two episodes of young justice. Wally :( is it possible for it to have been sadder the second time around? Because it DEFINITELY was. But the scenes of them taking down the summit are SO epic, they kicked so much ass and I just wanted to hug Khalder because he's obviously been through so much this season and to have it end in a "victory" as a result of him killing his (evil supervillain, but still) father was just so obviously hard on him. And of course I feel so bad for Artemis, who DID NOT DESERVE THIS SHIT, OKAY??? All I'm saying is they better find a way to bring Wally back for Season 3 or I'm gonna be mad. But it really was an epic finale and they left so many clear plot threads for a third season to pick up that it's such a travesty it didn't happen sooner (at least it's happening now though). So after that I went back to Supernatural and got through almost two episodes before calling it a night, trying for a little earlier than usual but idk how much of a difference it made being that it's already midnight (sigh). I definitely won't have issues falling asleep though, because I'm tired AF. And I will get up in the morning if it kills me....I know I've been saying that every night, but still, I'm determined to do it. No more of this bullshit. If only depression were conquerable by sheer willpower....but we all know it isn't. Hopefully, somehow, the first increased dose of medication that I took tonight will help a little. Anyway. Sleep now. Eyes definitely want to be closed already and this post is already way too long. Goodnight my sweets. Have a lovely Thursday.

The Misadventures of The Batfamily
A/N: Written in script form, an rp between my friends and I. A what if we were adopted by the batfamily, cuz why not. Fanfic, lots of crack, lots of angst (soon), We do not own the batfamily, because if we did we would not be doing this. I personally would have written Bruce veeeeery differently. *Whispers: If you guys only knew how we write Bruce the first few times, it was hilarious* Now then this is more for our enjoyment than anything, if you guys enjoy it, go ahead, if not well haters gun’a hate hate hate hate hate~ ^.~
Summary: When four half siblings wished to be a family and made a deal for it to work, they never thought that they would be adopted by the Batman of all people. Although it’s not as if being the charges of one Bruce Wayne is an easy thing, they also have to struggle with sacrifices they’ve made and conflicts that seems to arise at every turn… not to mention the already complicated problems the Bat Family currently have. An overly affectionate acrobat, a supposedly dead rebel, an insecure genius and a demon brat of many skills and pride.
Chapter 1: Shenanigans
A flash of bright light and suddenly four beings were thrown from the vortex, almost immediately the portal closed and the skies dimmed back to their normal midnight blue color.
Rafael: Ugh, well that was unpleasant. *shakes head and blinks at his companions.* Everyone okay?
Mikhael: I don’t feel any different. Sera? Israel? How do you guys feel? *runs his hands through his hair*
Israel: Man, that must’ve sucked. That hurts, somewhat. Oh well.
Sera: Something feels odd, but I doubt they're that important right now. *shrug*
Rafael: Great! Now that we’ve established that everyone is safe and sound. Where the hell are we? *glances around, blinks and looks down* Woah, it really worked? *Touches boobs* I’m a woman! Then that means… *Opens pants and looks inside* Ohh so that’s what it looks like!
Mikhael: Easy there bro, I mean sis. There are kids here. *summons a mirror* My power seems to be working fine here. But why do I look less Asian here… *breaks mirror*
Israel: What the Heck!!! *shields eyes with hands, traumatized forever*
Sera: *slaps Ray's hands* Stop that!
Rafael: Ow! What? Oh yeah ahahah kids, sorry? *smiles sheepishly* Do I look any different? Aside from the gender change of course. *Glances at Mika for answer, ignores the freaked out Israel*
Mikhael: Not really, except for those little things one would call hills. You’re still obviously an idiot though.
Sera: *sighs* I'll go find out where exactly we are.
Israel: MY EYES HAVE BEEN BURNED!!! *still panics like a smol egg tart*
Rafael: *side eyes Israel* Calm down smol Ray, everything’s fine. *glance back to Mika* Oh! Thanks, Mika! *hugs Mika tightly into her now big bosoms*
Mikhael: Let go of me you incompetent man, I mean woman. I’ll take care of this *proceeds to erase Sera’s and Isreal’s memory of that event* there. Better?
Israel: Huh? What happened? *blinks innocently*
Sera: Seriously, Mikhael? I can feel you poking my mental shields. *pauses for a minute  and blinks in confusion*… Oh, ha! My magic’s stronger here! You didn't account for that!
Rafael: NEVER! IWUVYOUUUU!!! *hugs Mika tightly*
Mikhael: I’m surrounded by idiots. *shakes head, tries to kick Rafael away*
Israel: Wait a minute! If you guys changed! Then so have I! *grabs Ray’s ‘bosoms’* Have I changed too, schwester?! *puppy dog eyes*
Rafael: *let’s go of Mika* Hmn, well yer hair’s gotten whiter and yer eyes changed colors from violet to blue, I miss the midnight black hair, smol Ray! *ruffles his hair and hugs him into bossoms*
Sera: GUUUUYSSSS READY YOURSELVES!!!!!! I'M BEING CHASED BY IDIOTS!!!!!!!!! *throws an illusion of a weak fire spell at them and causes a mild explosion behind the bandits? No Idiots* OK! I did not expect that!
Rafael: OoO Uhh… Shield me, smol Ray! *throws him bodily into the fray of burning men*
Israel: @w@ What?! Whyyyyyyyyyy?! Aadhjfnqkwenc.
Mikhael: Idiots. They’re all idiots. Why? Why must it be me? What did I do to deserve this. *freezes the idiots in their place*
Sera: Don't blame me! I had no idea that would happen! I expected it to be an illusion! I just wanted to scare them! *She sighs before throwing a very under powered, in her opinion, Blizzard spell at the Idiots in front of her*
Rafael: Cuz why not? 8D Yev always been the smarter one! >D Now then, my turn! *pulls out cane sword and unsheathes it to decapitate said bad frozen men*
Israel: *almost got his head chopped off* Be careful! Ya almost chopped my head off!
Mikhael: Rafael! Don’t put your brother in harms way. Sera! you need to have more control over your powers over here. Israel, well, don’t be an idiot, you’re overreacting.
Sera: Hey! I told you my magic is stronger here I didn't know if it would affect my illusions! *pauses* Oh wait I wasn't here when I said that.
Rafael: Tsk, such a pity, I would have wanted roasted pork for dinner. Oh well~ *grins toothily*
Israel: I’m not overreacting! You lot almost got me killed! *sluggishly sits on the ground like a child with his hands crossed over his chest*
Mikhael: So what do we do about the idiots? I mean, the dead idiots. *points to the pile of decapitated bodies*
Rafael: *shrugs* Cook em? Eat em? Serve em to the poor? Why not? Anything is possible.
Sera: Why you even kill them in the first place?!
Israel: OoO HUH?!?! I AM NOT A CANNIBAL! Well… not yet anyways. Are they tasty at least? *contemplates human meat*
Mikhael: Well, lets see. *casts a spell to “cook” the mangled bodies of the idiots* here we go, human stew. Do you also want some? You dark little shadow thing up there? I hear human meat tastes like chicken.
Sera: I ain't eating that. *grabs a peach from her bottomless bag* Thanks for helping me enchant this Mika! Hey Batsy! Do you want a peach?!
Rafael: *whistles* Amazing!  So that’s what cooked humans look like. Hannibal is accurate. Hey come join us, this looks like fun. *offer roasted human leg*
Mikhael: *nods at his little sister while stirring the pot of cooked meat*
Batman: *calls alfred* Gotham might have a situation.
Sera: Help me Batsy! These egg rolls are crazy!
Israel: @_@ My family is weird, help me mister bat sir! *whines pitifully*
Batman: *jumps down from the rooftop and lands in front of everyone in silence as he observes more*
Rafael: *Stares at Batman equally, then grinned and threw the roasted human leg at him* Hah!
Mikhael: *makes the pot of human meat disappear* Well, well, well. What do we have here? A grown man who dresses up in a weird bat costume that fights crime in the dark of night. There’s something you can’t solve with therapy. *casts a spell over batman's head*
Israel: *Runs and tackles Batman* Heeeeeeelppppppp meeeeeeee~ *whines like a dog* I dun wanna eat human meat! It’s icky and tastes like metal! It’s not even sweet!
Sera: *is still holding her peach as she runs to hide behind Batman. Glares at Ray and Mika .* Egg rolls *she muttered*
Rafael: Didju see that?! I threw the leg at him! He didn’t even blink! It’s like one of those british army men thing guarding the London Square! 8D *points at Batman with intrigue*
Mikhael: What my dear sister? Use your words. Also Rafael don’t provoke the man, bat, thing. He already has enough problems of his own. Like dressing up like a bat, and acting like a stalker, all the while wearing the word “creepy pedophile” across his forehead. *removes the spell*
Sera: You Egg rolls *still glaring* I will slap you both with leeks *is clutching Batsy's cape the peach core is thrown at Ray's face and summons tomato illusions to throw at both Mika and Ray*
Rafael: *dodges projectiles gracefully like the well experienced spy that he, well she is* I will continue to provoke the man, bat, thing! WAHAHAHAHA! I do what I want Th-I mean Mika! I shouldn’t mention that name, pop culture references aren’t a good thing with these time line things after all.
Israel: e.e showoff… *Clutching Batman’s face*
Sera: Stand still dangit *she glares more intensely* (If looks looks could kill Ray and Mika’d be dead by now)
Mikhael: I am standing still. *disintegrates whatever that is thrown at him without even raising a finger.*
Rafael: Ahahahah~ No can do, mi souer~ *Does dramatics flips and elaborate parkour moves*
Israel: Lil Ray, maybe you can stop? I dun think being angry is going to solve your problem. What is your problem by the way? *tilts head innocently like a pupper*
Sera: *Stares at Israel*
Batman: *eye twitch* ….. *what is this thing doing on my head* ….. *why is that thing dancing* ….. *why is this thing pulling my cape, what is it throwing* …..  *why is that thing just standing there, why is that not getting hit by whatever this thing in throwing* …..
Mikhael: You realize I can read your mind right? How disrespectful of you to call me and my “siblings” “things”. You’re one to talk. You’re an overgrown man wearing a batsuit.
Rafael: *dramatically clutches chest* Ouch! Thing, he used thing! So mean! I am a person! A human being, good sir! *makes dramatic noises worthy of an oscar role, or well trophy*
Israel: Hey! That’s mean! *punches Batman’s head* Ow! Your head hurt meeeeee! *whines*
Sera: Why am I a thing~!!!!! *pulls Bat's cape HARD!*
Israel: Harambe! URAAAA! *tackles Batman again and wrestles him*
Sera: Mewwwwwwwww!!!!!!  You’re crushing meeeee!!! >^< *flailing arms*
Mikhael: What do you think you’re doing to my little sister? *makes batman float in midair, releasing Sera* You stay there. *watches batman struggle to get down* Isreal! Behave! Look what happened to your little sister.
Rafael: *snaps* How dares you crush my lil Ray! *charges forward with all trap cards drawn and thrown, explosions erupted and pulls out his cane sword and tries to decapitate Batman*
Sera: hic-hic *sniffles *
Isreal: *whimpers like a puppy* But… But… I thought you were going to force feed me human meat… And then the mean man called me a thing. I didn’t mean to… *runs over to sera while crying and hugs her*
Nightwing: Wait! Stop! *drops down and intercepts the cane sword with his escrima sticks then pushes Ray away, falls on his feet with his hands up in surrender* We didn’t mean any harm, right Batman? *gives Batman a meaningful look*
Mikhael: First a man in a bat suit, now a man in a unitard. Great, just great. *shakes head in disgrace* maybe your boss should explain why he was spying on us.
Rafael: Tche right, he was crushing my lil Ray! *points to the still floating Batman, then whispers to Mika* Although you have to applaud him for even having the bravery or foolishness to wear said tights in public.
Israel: *still crying like a lil dogge* I dun care boutchuuuuuuuu *pets and snuggles face all over Sera, including tears and snot*
Sera: Stooooop Isra I will burn you to a crisp or turn you into a popsicle *still sniffling*
Israel: But you needed comfort! I’m trying to be nice! Because bruder said sooooooo! *whimpers and continues petting but stops snuggling, tears and snot still dripping down his face and nose*
Sera: Let gooooo you're disgusting!!!!!!! *teary eyed but not crying anymore*
Mikhael: Take care of your face *summons a handkerchief in mid air* Here, *summons another one for Sera*
Rafael: *Grimaces* Ew… *grabs the handkerchief and bodily wipes the tears and snot from Smol Ray’s face then Sera too*
Israel: *Sniffles* Thwankwyou.... *fiddles with the handkerchief* Sworry *snaps fingers and Sera instantly gets a change of clothes, looks at his feet dejectedly*
Sera: Thank you… *hugs him* I'm still not happy about the snot though.
Israel: Yay~ Boo~ *hugs and nuzzles his now clean face into hers*
Rafael: *smiles adoringly* Ahh ma babies~
Mikhael: Of all the families I had to be born into, it had to be this one. *sigh*
NIghtwing: Aww, cute. See B, they’re harmless!
Batman: I beg to differ. Look *shows Nightwing a video of the Hunter family killing and cooking some bandits*
Nightwing: Magic? Wait. Shouldn’t we call the League for this?
Rafael: *whispers to Mika* I think they’re talking about us? What do you think we should do about them?
Mikhael: No shit Ray. *facepalms* I’m not sure, should we kill them all?
Rafael: Hey! Language! Kids here! *glances at both Lil Ray and Smol Ray* I’m game for that. But then Lil Ray will try to kill us with her stare again. *groans*
Sera: *Turns to Nightwing and stares with “sad” eyes* cheep~ cheep~ cheep~ cheep~
Israel: *doesn’t care about what is happening around him, just satisfied with ze hug, nuzzles Sera some more* Baaa~
Nightwing: *stares* I’m calling the League, yep *Calls the Watchtower* Uh, hi? Superman? Yeah we have two kids here and two teens who seem to be metas? Yes I need help trying to make sense of what is happening in here because I have no idea what is happening and B refuses to talk any more than what he normally does. I know, just get here!
Rafael: O.o What the fu-heck? Almost slipped there.
Mikhael: You realize I can just as easily kill Superman and anyone in the League right?
Israel: Are we going to jail, schwester? Bruder? *looks up with big goo goo eyes* I dun wanna go there, there are many bad people there. *whimpers and clutches Sera tightly*
Sera: *teleports to Nightwing and tugs his arm lightly eyes pleading*
Israel: Ehhhh? Whyyyyy? *close to tears, making grabbing hand motions*
Rafael: Uh-oh. *Grabs Smol Ray and hugs him into her bosoms* There, there, lil buddy. *Sweatdrops, why did I become the mother like figure…?*
Mikhael: This is getting out of hand. *pauses everyone* Let’s just get this over with. *casts a spell over Batman and Nightwing to proceed as planned, and makes Superman forget he ever got a call while erasing any traces of a call being made to the Watchtower*
(Somewhere in the skies of Gotham)
Superman: What am I doing in Gotham? I need to get back to the Watchtower.
(Back with Batman)
Batman: Let’s just adopt all of them.
Nightwing: What? B you realize that these people aren’t exactly normal human beings right? Why would you want to adopt them? Aren’t we enough for you?
Rafael: I have no idea what is happening. *clutching Smol Ray with an incredulous expression*
Israel: *Gives no cares*
Sera: *tugs at Nightwing’s hand again*
Nightwing: *glances down at her* … Uhm… *doesn’t have an idea of what to do* B? *stares at Batman helplessly*
Mikhael: Carry her or die? *shoots Nightwing death stares* Pick your poison.
Rafael: *Snarls like a mother hen* That’s my little sister! Ya better not drop her!
Batman: I think you better do as your new siblings say.
Nightwing: @w@ What? What is happening, B? *bends to carry said child confusedly* new siblings?
Sera: Yay!
Rafael: *nods in satisfaction* Now what did you mean by adopting us? Mister tall dark and batsy? *smiles creepily*
Israel: Uh-oh, Schwester is mad! *raises fist in the air victoriously like an idiot*
Batman: Pancakes. Let’s go have pancakes, as a family.
Nightwing: WHAT?!?!?! @w@ *really confused now*
Sera: Double Yay!
Rafael: Hmn… *eyes Batman suspiciously* I have two eyes on you batboy. One foot out of line and kweeek! *gestures finger to throat*
Israel: DIDJU SAY PANCAKE? I WANT BLUEBERRY! *makes grabby motions again*
Mikhael: Let us proceed.
Nightwing: WAIT. WHAT IS GOING ON??? Is there even a pancake house open this late into the night, B?!
Rafael: I’m with you on this kid, but whelp, let’s just follow the children, yeah? *pats Nightwing’s shoulder empathically and nods head*
Mikhael: Everything is going as planned sister. You wanted a “happy” family right?
Rafael: Ohh yeah, sorry man. *pats Nightwing’s shoulder again* I stole your dad. Well technically they did, I dun want a dad. I already have one, he’s very much a better dad than well… that. *points to Batman*
Mikhael: This wasn’t my first choice either. Blame the stupid twin.
Rafael: Desho??? He’s such a… a… bat...
Batman: To the pancake cave!!!
Israel: Yay! Pancake cave! *wiggles and jumps from Rafael’s hold to run over to Batman and tugs on his cape.* Carry? *makes grabby motion*
Rafael: I… I feel abandoned… My baby… *internally screams*
Batman: *bends over to carry Israel* Let’s goooo! *flings his cape around idiotically* To the batmobile!
Israel: Yay~ batsy batsy! *pounds on batman’s head all excitedly*
Sera:I wanted batsy…. Oh well, I have Nightwing!
Nightwing: *facepalm* B… why…? What happened to you? *hands Sera over to Rafael* Then I better go to my Wingcycle. Catch you guys back in the… pancake cave… sighs. *shoots a grappling hook and swings away with style*
Sera: Nooooooooo
Rafael: *watches Nightwing ‘fly’ away with a deadpan look on his face* Of course I’d be unwanted… after all I’m not even in a unitard or hot muscley like him. *mutters bitterly* Indeed… pancake cave… is it really a pancake cave? Please tell me it’s not made of actual pancakes?
Sera: Nooo I want you too I just like Nightwing too
Mikhael: That can be arranged.
Rafael: No! Please don’t! I don’t think the children need an advance dose of sugar rush, Mika.

Morris has flat long-ish black hair from not taking the actual time to at least try cutting it. He has a natural olive/tan skin tone. He carries a wiry body from his earlier days. About 5'8 or so. He usually wears a cracked pair of goggles on his head. The kid's got a fair share of scars, the most obvious one over his mouth. His wardrobe isn't really static, but commonly wears hoodies. He has blue eyes.
PERSONALITY
Morris is constantly on edge. He's constantly worried for the worst to come. He believes that he's more realistic than pessimistic. He hardly ever admits anything outright, dodging any personal questions whenever possible. His solution to most problems is to either avoid them altogether, or run away. He's often irritable, lacking people skills. He avoids people if he can, keeping to himself. He could pretty much be summed up as "properly paranoid". Though cowardly, he is able to stand his own in a fight.
SEXUALITY: Bisexual
SETTING

BACK STORY
Born in Mexico, his parents legally crossed the border in hopes to have more success in the US much like his mother's sister. Though not extremely wealthy, she lived decently and was more than willing to help them on their way. However, when he was still very young, his parents found that they wouldn't be able to afford raising him, passing him off to his aunt before moving on with their lives. He lived comfortably for the first ten years of his life before his aunt's business went downhill and moved to a shadier part of the city to keep rent down. His aunt resorted to fostering kids on the side in order to get paid by the state. Sure it wasn't much, but it was better than nothing. One particular child stayed in her care for a long while due to complications (talking 11 months - 18 months). During this time, Morris grew very fond of her. Unfortunately, she wasn't the best influence, as she got into all sorts of shit and participated in gang life. Of course, he found this all to be cool/exciting and followed right in her footsteps. She was practically a big sister figure to him. He grew to cause havoc and participate in illegal shit for a good while (half a year?? idk). Which was all fine and dandy, he was p much enjoying himself and pissing off people. One day he's just going downtown and finds the corpse of his "big sister" in an alleyway. Needless to say it was bloody and morbid as shit and probably gave him some serious trauma. (He may have developed ptsd from this) The event had him snap and do a complete 180 after witnessing the body. He desperately tried to get out of gang life, but ended up not being able to escape.
