Wanted the share the very first photos I ever took of Cody, on our car ride back from adopting him. He'd just gotten some vaccinations and was drowsy, and the tech recommended I cuddle him so he doesn't get cold.

He was very calm and polite, leading me to mistakenly believe that Cody might be an appropriate name for him.

Silver is so cute because he's genuinely so lucky and unlucky. He's not a chosen one or designed to save the world, he's just the guy that survived long enough for Mephiles to have a plan. But also, the world and the future change around him, all because he happened upon a guy one time who threw him in a weird direction, but he doesn't even remember that. So as far as he knows, he just has the weirdest, most cursed life for no reason. Destiny? A greater plan? He has no idea. Nobody even remembers where he came from. He shouldn't really be alive and yet here he is. Surviving, never thriving.
