are you comfortable with writing about a transman? if so id like to see arthur morgan comforting ftm!reader, maybe calling him a "good boy" to make him happy x
Arthur Morgan x Trans!male!reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Reader runs into an old family member and is desperately in need of comfort afterwards. (Once again making excuses to be sad and transgender)
Words: 1264
Warning: hurt/comfort, pre-transition reader is referred to as “dead” and “little girl” by reader, reader threatens his cousin, shitty family members.
A/n: shorter fic cuz I've been banging my head against the wall trying to get the rest of my writing back.
Masterlist
“You need to eat.”
You glanced up at Arthur, the fire between the two of you illuminating him in a orange glow. Your food had gone cold, and you didn’t mean to be wasteful, but today was…a lot. You shifted uncomfortably on the large rock you'd perched yourself on.
“‘M not hungry.”
You heard him sigh as you stared down at your plate.
“You gonna tell me what’s wrong or are you just gonna sit there and sulk.”
“It's nothing-”
It was something, it was definitely something. You went into town on your own, bright and early so you could be in and out of the shops and get back to camp while the sun was still up. That was the plan, pick up some spices, and oddly enough a picture frame, Arthur had asked for it but he said it wasn't for him, probably gonna be a gift of some kind, you didn't think too much about it.
While you were making sure you're satchel was still secure, you heard a familiar voice.
“D/n?” he called from across the street.
You froze, but just for a moment, you tried climbing onto your horse as fast as you could by you were stopped by a firm grip on your shoulder. Turning, you saw him, right in front of you, your cousin, your asshole of a cousin, Damian.
“Well I'll be damned, it is you!”
Taking a breath you said, “Do I know you?”
“‘Do you’- d/n stop playing around!”
His voice was loud, loud enough to garner unwanted attention from those around you.
“I don't know no d/n sir, you've got the wrong man, now you best take your hand off me before you lose it.”
He backed off, a small apologetic yet nervous smile on his face, “sorry, you just uh, look an awful lot like my little cousin.”
Finally mounting your horse, you looked down at the man. You didn't say anything, just holding his gaze in yours for a long moment before giving him a quick nod and riding off.
You rode out of town faster than you should have, gaining various shouts and complaints from the townspeople who'd nearly stepped in your way.
As you broke out into the open road, your mind swelled with thoughts.
D/n was dead, she’d been dead a long, long time and you really didn't need reminders of her life, especially not the parts she hated.
You didn't want to hate your cousin, you just did. He was an ass and so was the rest of his family, you guess that technically included you too, but you never really felt like they were your family- even when you were little. You were different, so they treated you different. You never knew what tipped them off so early. Maybe you played with the boys too much, or you were too rough with the girls. Whatever it was, they knew before you did, they considered their daughter dead before she was, and they treated you like you killed her.
You liked being dead now, you thought you wouldn't have to worry about your family anymore, they had a whole funeral for you and everything, you figured that they'd move on, that if you did run into them, they'd take you as a ghost and nothing more. Your cousin was always an asshole though, and could never quiet get with the program, that made y'all alike in some ways, but mostly it just drew a bigger rift between you and your family. Everybody loved him, but they hated you, wasn't that funny?
You skid to a stop right outside of camp, zoning back into your surroundings just in time. Hoping off your horse, petting her for a short moment before tying her to a post.
It didn't take long for Arthur to find you, having only been in camp a couple of minutes before he spotted you. Before he even reached you, he could see the grim look on your face as you sat on your cot, glaring at the ground.
Arthur sat next to you, rubbing your back with his hand for a short moment. Arthur wasn't really a touchy person, not in front of people at least, a soothing touch on the back was as close to a kiss as you'd get with this many people around.
You glanced up at him, meeting his eyes for a short moment before starting back down at the ground below.
It didn't take much for him to convince you to take a ride with him, especially when he offered to let you ride his horse with him, you appreciated it, knowing that yours would have bucked you off the moment you saddled her after you nearly ran her through camp. You almost felt bad- when you climbed on the horse behind Arthur, watching him avert his gaze from anyone who looked in your direction.
He wasn't ashamed, you knew that, he was just private, didn't like it when people paid too much attention to your relationship, or you at all for that matter.
You rode together for a long while, once you figured the road was clear enough, you wrapped your arms around Arthur and rested against his back, you felt him tense, then ask if you were okay, you nodded, he relaxed after a moment, quietly continuing down the road, he knew you weren't alright, not fully, but he figured talking could wait a couple of hours.
Now you're here, you sat on a rock while Arthur set up camp, when you mumbled an offer to help, he shot it down, reassuring you it was fine.
By the time food was cooked, the sun had set completely, the fire being the only source of light.
“- I swear I just…ran into somebody today.”
You could here the faint clink of silverware against the bowl as Arthur set it to the side.
“‘Somebody’ like who?”
You sighed.
“Like my cousin, Damien, ran into him in town today.”
You weren't fully sure you told Arthur about Damien, but when you looked up at him over the fire you could see a look of annoyance on his face, so you had to at least have mentioned him and his aggravating exploits.
“It's stupid, I just… I don't know. I thought that I would never run into them again, or maybe that they wouldn't recognize me if they did. But he called that little girl's name and it just felt like my heart had stopped.”
Starting down at the dirt, you heard Arthur push himself up off the ground, the dirt crunching beneath his boots. Then he was sitting right next to you, the stone just big enough to hold two queers at once. Meeting his eyes again, you opened your mouth to speak, but all that came out was a long, tired sigh.
“I know, “ he said, his voice so calm and soft, a tone reserved for those that deserved it, “come here, boy..”
And you did, leaning your head on his shoulder, buried in the nook of his neck, your arms just barely around him in an effort. He wrapped his arms around you far tighter, pulling you into him, feeling your shallow breaths as the day's events replayed in your mind.
“That's it, good boy,” he muttered.
A small smile formed on your face. You hummed in contentment, squeezing him a bit tighter, forcing a small chuckle out of him.
“You liked that?” you nodded, he laughed again.
“It's helping..”
“I'll keep that in mind.”

AITA for ghosting my girlfriend?
So, this happened years ago, and is extremely niche and online, but it still kind of weighs on me. I'm AFAB, and when I was younger (10-14yo) I would "pretend" to be a boy on the internet. Most of my time was spent playing Animal Jam and Minecraft, as well as being involved in the Animal Jam-related Google Plus/Blogger circles, all the time presenting as male.
I should also mention that I was raised in a very conservative and anti-gay religion. My parents knew that I was pretending to be a boy, they figured it would help "protect" my identity online. I didn't know what "transgender" meant until this whole incident was over.
Around the time this all happened I was heavily involved with a blog dedicated to posting Animal Jam users who would scam others out of their items, in hopes that our readers would avoid them. I and the four other people who ran the blog (between 13-16 y/o) had all become very close friends, but our interest in Animal Jam and in running this blog was waning. It was around this time I (14Complicated) began dating my fellow moderator V (13F). We had grown close over the course of many months invoved with the blog, and she had confessed her feelings to me over email. I responded that I felt the same way. Truthfully, I did. I felt things for her that I'd never felt before. Things that scared me.
V and I continued dating for many months. Over that time, our friendgroup had made the decision to shut the blog down for good. Us moderators stayed friends, and opened up a Minecraft server so we could still play together. V and I accomplished the all-important milestone of putting our beds together in Minecraft. The seriousness of our relationship weighed heavy on me, for two reasons: One, I was a girl dating a girl, and that was a sin. Two, I had been "pretending" to be a boy while I was dating V, and I had no idea how to tell her the truth. Looking back now, that second point was kind of stupid. V was openly bisexual and actually knew what transgender meant.
Because of these conflicting feelings, I just up and ghosted V one day. Logged out of every account associated with that friend group and went full no contact. I thought it would stop the feelings of guilt. It didn't help, and in fact, hurt a lot. I'm 20 now, openly nonbinary, and I still feel guilty about leaving V in the dark like that.
TL;DR I ghosted my online girlfriend because I was having gay thoughts and felt guilty for "lying" about my gender. AITA?
What are these acronyms?

me: wow i love that those ghost lounge pants made copia a batgirl.
the quality assurance team in my brain: careful! if you make this post, one of your five followers, all of whom followed you for transgender furry lady copia posts and know exactly what you're talking about, might think you mean the popular dc comics character Batgirl. better revise that spacing to make sure it's clear that you're not talking about dc comics, but instead about furry subculture. 👍

A few days ago I posted this:
lots of thoughts about sandrone and the male gaze and the way men innately objectify women no matter how close they are/how pure their love. thoughts on identity and autonomy.
...and now I want to talk about it.
Obviously this is all based on my theories and headcanons (as even if my theories are right, my headcanons most certainly will not be), but thematically there is a lot going on with how I write Sandrone and themes of identity surrounding her in a way that does connect her very neatly with both Il Dottore and Scaramouche. I probably won't talk about that in this post, but if you pick up the themes: yay!
To start with Sandrone, you have to start first with Mary-Ann Guillotin. She was transgender, something she knew young. For a while, she presented femininely—it helped her pass, and it made her feel good. She was pretty, girlish, feminine.
But as she aged, she became more sure in herself and things began to change. She realized she was a lesbian, and then she realized—afer a lot of introspection—she was butch. She began to present more masculinely as a woman, and she thrived.
And then she died.
Alain survived, but some part of him died when his sister did. And so he recreated her in the marionette we know as Sandrone. But time and grief both have their ways of distorting the memory. Mary-Ann was his sister, and so he remembered her softer, more feminine than she had been. Even through a familial lens, the male gaze will persevere.
The plot here isn't important. It doesn't matter that Alain copied his consciousness into her machinated companion. It doesn't matter that his love for her became distorted. It doesn't matter that she had to kill what remained of Alain to free herself.
What matters now is the present. Sandrone knows who Mary-Ann was. She knows she was a lesbian, a trans woman, a butch. She also knows what she herself was created as. What she doesn't know is: what is she actually herself? Is she a lesbian, or is she simply modeled after one? Does Mary-Ann being trans make her innately trans, or does her artificial doll body render her able to be anything at all? If she decides she does want to dress more masculinely, is she just doing what she knows her face-sake would do?
If she goes against those things, is she just retaliating against the nature of her creation?
There is no correct choice or clear answer. Everything she does is centered around the ghost of a girl she will never meet. She is haunted by Mary-Ann as much as Alain was.
Is any choice ever really her choice, or is it just the choice of Mary-Ann as seen through Alain's grief-distorted memory?

2023 Book Reviews (July to December)
5 stars
- Midwives (Bohjalian, 1997): A midwife is accused of negligence and manslaughter after a woman in her care dies during a home birth. The mother seemingly had a stroke and an emergency C-section was required to save the baby; the question is raised if she was indeed dead when the C-section happened or if the midwife had accidentally killed her, as well if the mother was even healthy enough to be having a home birth far from a hospital. Told from the perspective of the midwife’s teenage daughter.
- Raptor Red (Bakker, 1995): Follows a year in the life of a female Utahraptor, drawing inspiration from various paleontology theories at the time. Think Meerkat Manor but about a raptor and her family. Obviously I loved it.
3 stars
- The Haunting of Maddy Clare (Simone St James, 2012): the ghost stuff was mostly well done. Maddy is angry and hurting and I don't blame her for being so hostile. Didn't like her dialogue, it felt very "Crazy=Dangerous=Monster" in a way that just felt generic horror villain which doesn't sit right knowing that this is a traumatized victim. Sarah and Matthew have a Hallmark-level romance but it isn't even decent Hallmark. Every conversation until the last third features some kind of misunderstanding they don't resolve. First sex scene between the leads is technically okay but the complete lack of communication makes consent feel more dubious (just because Sarah’s inner dialogue is fine with it, doesn’t make Matthew’s lack of even checking in okay, especially in light of their repeated misunderstandings). The post-WWI trauma was pleasantly well-done, physical disabilities in Matthew and Alistair were a more mixed bag.
2 stars
- In the Shadow of the Throne (Kate Sheridan, 2022): I really wanted to like this graphic novel. It’s cute and gay and a teen boy is isekai’d to a fantasy world but there’s not much substance. Not nearly enough time to hit all the plot points so everything feels rushed; dialogue and relationships don’t proceed naturally. Art style is nice at least.
Nonfiction:
- Monsters in the Movies: 100 Years of Cinematic Nightmares (Landis, 2011): Encyclopedia of horror and horror-adjacent movies that author has seen. He shares his opinions on them but offers little beyond surface analysis.
- Living with Cannibals and Other Women’s Adventures (Michele Slung, 2000): Introduction to various female explorers. Decent intro but each chapter felt like a basic book report on each woman.
- The Complete Beginner’s Guide to Drawing Manga (Sonia Leong, 2023): Good lessons here for anyone interesting in the subject.
- Trans and Autistic (Noah Adams + Bridget Liang, 2020): The experiences of people who are both trans and autistic and how those parts of their identity have afffected their lives. Definitely of interest to me as someone who is definitely one and possibly the other as well.
- A Wolf Called Romeo (Nick Jans, 2014): About a lone wolf in Alaska who was chill with people and really just wanted to play with the local dogs; fair warning the ending made me cry.
- Becoming Nicole (Amy Ellis Nutt, 2015): The life story of transgender actress and activist Nicole Maines.
- Notes from a Sickbed (Tessa Brunton, 2022): a graphic novel about the author’s experiences with chronic fatigue syndrome.
- Little Girls in Pretty Boxes (Joan Ryan, 1995): about the pressure put on young girls and teenagers in competitive gymnastics and iceskating (especially those aiming for the Olympics), and the consequences of that pressure.

Deaftale’s info!!
this post contains some stuff, such as murder, death, swear words, etc. this AU is also LGBTQIA, so i beg of you, PLEASE LEAVE IF YOU DONT SUPPORT <3 i dont allow non-supporters of the LGBTQIA. This post is extremely long, and it’s not rlly that organized tbh…plz forgive me…also, please do not gatekeep. this is an Alternate Universe, a different version of undertale. Do not accuse me of stealing, please. more info can be found here
This is what you’ve been waiting for!! I’ll post the designs later hahahah
LETS GET INTO IT!!!
・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・
Sans - he’s much more energetic than og!sans, which caused a increase in his HP, which is now 680 HP. Sans is Deaf, and he always has been, but he never got the cochlear implants because he doesn’t want them. Sans does know American Sign Language, and so does a few other monsters, but he only uses ASL to communicate with Papyrus. Sans gets frustrated easily, and sometimes expresses it in unhealthy ways, like hitting his head(or skull)- Sans is demisexual and uses he/they pronouns, but mainly he/him. Sans is..kinda cold towards Frisk when they first meet, but he opens up later on!
Papyrus - Papyrus’ food is actually edible- He is learning ASL, and its going well! Papyrus doesn’t want to join the royal guard, EVER. He’s always around Sans for communication purposes. Papyrus is aroace and uses he/them. He is still friends with Undyne, and Undyne was actually the reason why Papyrus wants to become a chef when he gets on the surface!
Toriel - Toriel doesn’t fight Frisk when they wanted to leave the ruins, Toriel understands why. Toriel still loves Asgore, thats why she and Asgore decided that they needed a break until things work out. Toriel is straight and uses she/her.
Alphys - Alphys is really clumsy and very nervous, but she always tries her best! Alphys doesn’t beat herself up abt messing up anymore. Alphys is still a anime nerd and will always be hahahdmsks- Alphys is bisexual and uses she/her-
Undyne - Undyne knows that anime isnt real. Undyne uses she/they pronouns and is a lesbian <3 Undyne is..tough, but Undyne can get rlly nervous, like when you ask her how babies r made. Undyne was the one who got Papyrus interested into culinary arts b/c Papyrus didnt rlly do anything except clean when Sans didnt need communication and take care of the humans that fell, so yeah-
Mettaton - Mettaton wont ask you if you would smooch a ghost b/c thats super weird- Mettaton is transgender(he/him) and he is demiromantic <3 Mettaton doesn’t like to talk only abt themselves. Mettaton’s show is all about quizzes with less severe consequences, the quizzes cover a lot of topics too!
Napsblook - he’s pretty social, but not too social b/c introvert vibes- Napsblook is aromatic, and he uses he/they pronouns(mainly he/him)- Napsblook doesn’t mind being called Blooky by anyone. Napsblook isn’t on Mettaton’s show b/c of the noises and lights, so he helps Alphys in the lab instead b/c he doesn’t mind watching the show on TV since the lights are less bright and the sounds are less loud- Napsblook does have a vessel but its a lot smaller than Mettaton due to lack of resources </3
Frisk - Frisk is one of the few humans who tried to communicate with Sans. Frisk isn’t used to people being nice to them b/c of his home life. Frisk is genderqueer and uses any pronouns, including neopronouns, and ze is demisexual. Frisk had a crush on a cute Deaf girl but she was murdered.
Chara - Chara is blind, and they were lead to the mountain by their so called friends. Chara is nonbinary, and they are questioning their sexuality- Chara was born on October 31st, 1992 & the year is 2003, so Chara is 11 years old. Chara fell at 8 years old. Chara uses Asriel as their seeing-person. Chara got cancer and they weren’t able to beat cancer due to lack of medical stuff required to help fight cancer.
Asriel - Asriel is really shy and timid at first, but he opens up if you’re deemed not a threat! Asriel is sensitive to sound, and how Asriel copes with really loud noises can vary, but the common reaction for Asriel is hitting someone that is the closest to Asriel. Asriel(and Flowey) is 11, like Chara. Asriel uses he/them, and Azzy is bisexual. Azzy is Asriel’s nickname
Flowey - he’s a lil shit, but they do get nervous when Chara is mentioned, b/c he and Azzy are the same person.
Asgore - Asgore doesn’t want to hurt anyone anymore, but he has no idea how to tell Toriel that he doesn’t want war anymore.
・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・
i spent too much time on this 💀💀
srry if its cringe, idk how to not make things cringe brrr

Mr. Lancer paused in his lecture to turn and face his classroom of students. His eyes traveled across the row of desks and landed on one in particular where a mop of black hair laid on the desk.
“Ms. Fenton, class is not the time for sleeping. Please lift your head off of your desk.”
She grumbled and raised her head up, pushing long hair away from her face.
“Call me Danny.”
“Ms. Fenton, I try to maintain a professional relationship with my students-”
“This is high school, what’s professional about it?”
Lancer sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose just as the bell rings. “Remember to read chapter four, everyone.”
Danny almost made it out the door before Lancer was calling for her. “Ms. Fenton.”
She groaned and turned back around to face him, eyebrows drawn down.
He pulled out a detention slip and filled it out, handing it to her. “I’ll see you at three.”
“What?” She said, glaring at the paper in her hand. “You’re giving me detention for asking you to call me a different name?”
“No.” Lancer says. “For sleeping in class.”
She grumbled and began walking quickly towards the door. “Bet Dash wouldn’t get detention for sleeping in class.”
Mr. Lancer sat back down in his chair, eyebrows drawn down. He’d never given a second thought to Ms. Fenton’s request to be addressed as Danny. Some students had nicknames they preferred to go by, but he tried to maintain a professional relationship with his students, with no exceptions.
He picked up the framed photo of himself from his desk and began to study it. His frown deepened and guilt began to worm it’s way into his stomach.
Perhaps he should have more of an open mind.

Shuffling papers and organizing his desk for the day, Lancer started when he saw a student with short, spiky black hair walk in and take Ms. Fenton’s seat. The rest of the class filed in soon after and the final bell rung.
“Okay class, today we will be going over chapter four of Animal Farm. Please take out your books and your notes.”
All the students in the class shuffled except for one, who was doodling in a notebook instead.
“Ms. Fenton-”
“Danny.”
Lancer paused, weighing his options before moving forward, lest he delay class.
“Danny, please take out your book and notes.”
Danny’s eyes widened and she looked up at Lancer, mouth moving like a fish for a moment. “I left it at home.’
“We have spare copies in the back of the classroom, go ahead and grab one and flip to chapter four.”
As class went by, Danny stared at her book as if in a daze. Soon enough, the bell was ringing and students were walking out to make their way to their next class. As Lancer pulled out the quizzes to hand back to his next class, he saw Danny walk up to his desk.
“Uh, Mr. Lancer. I just wanted to… Thank you for calling me Danny today.”
Lancer smiled. “I thought about it and made the conclusion that sometimes exceptions can be made.”
Danny smiled back at him. “Okay. Yeah, just, thanks again. Bye.” She quickly walked out the door.
QQQQQ
Lancer whistled as he walked out of the school towards his car. It was the weekend and he was looking forward to some relaxation as he graded the tests for his junior level mythology class. Today had been ghost free and he was hoping to make it home without incident.
Just as he finished that thought, Lancer heard a crash and a cackle come from further into the parking lot. Craning his neck to see over the cars, he could see the green techno ghost and… Danny?
The techno ghost laughed again and electricity ran up and down its arms. Lancer dropped his briefcase and started hurrying quietly towards where the ghost was looking down at her.
“Foolish child! You think you can defeat me? Technus?!”
Mr. Lancer crouched behind a car when he heard Danny snort. “I’ve defeated you multiple times already.”
Lancer’s eyebrows drew down. What did that mean?
Technus cackled. “Ah but this time will be different! I have found the latest upgrades in the interwebs and will use them to my disposal!”
Lancer was stepping out from behind the car and was about to distract the ghost so Danny could get away when a flash of bright light startled him. A ring appeared around Danny’s waist and spread into two, traveling up and down her body. Left behind was… Phantom?
Phantom sprung into the air and punched Technus in the face, sending him crashing into the school. Lancer couldn’t do anything but watch the ghost boy pummel the other ghost into the wall.
A mixture of surprise and happiness was flitting through Lancer. His suspicions confirmed in the unlikeliest way possible.
Soon Technus was defeated and trapped in Phantom’s thermos. He watched as Phantom turned around, surveying the damage in the parking lot when he met Lancer’s eyes. His own eyes widened and he looked away before meeting Lancer’s gaze again.
“Danny?” His eyes widened again and a panicked expression wormed its way into his face. He shook his head vigorously, hands motioning in a no pattern.
“Danny, come on. Let’s go back to my classroom. I have something important to show you.”
Without looking to see if the boy followed him, Lancer walked back towards the school and through the halls and into his classroom. Turning around, he saw that Danny had followed but the panicked expression had not yet left his face.
“Take a seat, Mr. Fenton.”
Danny’s eyes widened and he floated down into one of the chairs off to the side of Lancer’s desk and transformed back.
“How did you..?”
“I saw that ghost squaring you down and was making my way towards you when you transformed in the middle of the parking lot.”
Danny rubbed the back of his neck. “I knew that would come back to bite me one day.”
Lancer nodded. “Now, what i wanted to show you was-”
“Wait! You can’t tell my parents! They can’t know!”
Looking at Danny with wide eyes, Lancer let out an exclamation. “To kill a mockingbird, Danny! I couldn’t fathom outing you!”
Danny’s eyebrows furrowed. “What?”
“Danny, do you know what transgender means?”
Leaning back in his seat, Danny remained silent. Lancer reached forward and grabbed the picture sitting on his desk.
“Danny, do you know who this is?”
He leaned forward and looked at the woman in the photo with long black hair. “Your sister?”
Lancer shook his head. “Nope, that was me when I was in college.”
Danny’s eyes nearly bugged out of his head with how wide they were. “That’s you?!”
He nodded. “This was just a month before I started transitioning.”
“You’re…” Danny looked up. “You’re trans?”
He nodded again. “I knew something was different throughout my adolescence but I never had the courage to take those first steps until I was in college.”
“Keeping this photo here though… Doesn’t it hurt?” Danny whispered.
“It used to.” Lancer said. “It used to make me angry that I had to work so hard to have my own identity. Now, it lets me reflect on the person I’ve become, who I wouldn’t be without the experiences I have.” “How do you know when you’re ready to come out?” Danny asked quietly.
“That’s hard to say. It’s up to the individual when they’re ready to start that part of their journey. The most important part is knowing whether or not you’ll be safe.”
“I think Jazz knows.” His brows furrowed. “About both things, somehow. She’s been being weird and supportive. My parents…” He sighed. “I’m sure they’d love me just the same whether I was a boy or a girl but being a ghost…”
He shook his head. “Please don’t tell them I’m Phantom. I’m not ready for that. I can’t-”
Lancer shook his head reassuringly. “That decision can only be made by you. But I can be here to give you any kind of support you need.”
Danny smiled at him. “Thanks Mr. Lancer.” He stood up. “I should get going now. Thanks for, uh, witnessing my secret identity I guess. See you on Monday.”
He waved to Lancer as he walked out the door.
“Have a nice weekend, Mr. Fenton.”

New York.
A place where someone can go to disappear into the sea of humanity. A place that is gritty and real and about as far away as August Landry can get from her mother. Growing up in the shadow of her missing uncle's memory, August longs to find a place where she can simply be August. She isn't looking for love. She isn't looking for home. She's simply looking for a way to survive while attending Brooklyn College.  She finds an apartment (filled with roommates but hey, that's New York). A job (waiting tables, but it pays the bills and keeps her fed). And the best subway route to and from school.
What sensible, practical August certainly doesn't expect to find is a woman who makes her pulse race and breath catch.
But that's exactly what she finds in the mysterious, seductive, kind, and generous butch-ish lesbian girl on the train. Jane. Jane who is always there whenever August gets on the train. Jane who avoids questions about herself. Jane, who's there with a laugh, or a band-aid, or a laugh after a tough time. Day after day. Train ride after train ride, August finds herself falling for Jane.
But when August sees a picture from 1976 with Jane in it. She's suddently catapulted into a mystery. Is Jane a ghost? A memory? Time displaced? And what's more... how can August help her. And will helping Jane mean breaking August's heart.
Tumblr media
I did not know how much I needed this book in my life until I read it. It was everything my queer bisexual self needed. One Last Stop features some of my favorite tropes: found family, love in the big city, quantum physics. You know... the fun stuff!
The book is like a love letter to New York and in particular Queer New York. From Drag Queens to transgender bad bartenders (who also happens to be psychic) to adorably gruff gays to pansexual teddy bears. This book is filled with so much queer representation that it just made my heart sing... and also feels true to the NYC and the queer community that I know.
Tumblr media
But this book isn't a book about coming out. It's a book about love. And about the power of love. Not just romantic love, but also the love of friends, and community. The love of a place and the love of a time. The romance drives and informs the plot, but it's not the only thing going on. There's a lot of journey of self-discovery in this... but this isn't a coming out story. It's a story of finding oneself when one is lost... and all the different ways that means.
August is such a complex character. Not always likeable, but she's still filled with redeeming qualities. She's guarded... closed off... but with good reason. She's skeptical of people... also with good reasons. But at the same time she's kind, she cares, and she's resourceful. Watching her open herself up is a lovely journey.
Tumblr media
Jane is an enigma... which is the point. Asian, butch, punk, lesbian. She's got a lot of experience, but there's also something naive about her too.  She's a puzzle. But she's also solidly there. She’s more than just her labels. She affects so many people with her presence -- as seen in little articles/posts/etc that often begin chapters.
And this isn't just a lesbian romance. It's a queer romance. A bisexual romance. What's more, August's bisexuality doesn't go away when she enters a relationship. She's still as bi as she was before she started dating -- which speaking as a bisexual myself this is true to life. Bisexual erasure is a thing. Bisexual people often aren't accepted in either the gay or straight community. Seeing it here meant a lot to me. I felt seen.I felt accepted. I felt valid.
Honestly, this book is lovely and everyone needs to read it.

Music Mixes
Lumberjanes “Arts and Crafts” Program Field
Treble Maker Badge
“Some Risks are worth the Reward”
Music fuels the mind and thus fuels creativity. A creative mind has the ability to make discoveries and create innovations. The greatest minds and thinkers like Hildegard von Bingen, Barbra Strozzi, and Florence Mary Taylor all had something in common in that they were constantly exploring their imagination and creativity. As a Lumberjane it will be vital that we not only enrich our minds, but enrich those around us. Music is just one of the many mediums that can create an empowering environment, it is one of the few mediums that can be enjoyed at any time.

Finch’s Notes Cont:
Hi! I made this post to avoid work. But mostly I made this post because Lumberjanes is something really important to me, and these playlist are a part of my enjoyment of Lumberjanes I don’t see people talking about a lot! So I decided to make a post in order to share them with y’all. I remember hunching over my phone making a spotify playlist (here, though it’s missing a few songs that aren’t on spotify) while on a trip to California in the summer of 2018 when I first got into Lumberjanes. I probably listened to these songs while I made my first ever Lumberjanes fanart. These mixes helped me to discover artist I really love, like Janelle Monae and Mal Blum. I hope you enjoy them as well!
Other notes: Sk8r Boi is crossed out as that is the way it appears on Mal’s playlist. Also, I tend to shy away from music videos as a personal preference, so that’s why there are so few included on this playlist, though I’m sure many of these songs have beautiful music videos. I might reblog this post in the future with some youtube playlists of these mixes, but if you want to find them yourself there are a lot of playlists of these songs made on youtube already! Or you can make your own playlists using this post.
And, just for fun, have one final Lumberjanes themed music recommendation:

Favorite Books of 2020
I wanted to put together a list! I read 74 new books this year, and I keep track of that on Goodreads - feel free to add or follow me if you want to see everything! I’m going to focus on the highlights, and the books that stuck with me personally in one way or another, in approximate order. Also, all but two of them (#5 and #7 on the honorable mention list) are queer/trans in some way. Links are to Goodreads, but if you’re looking to get the books, I suggest your library, the Libby app using your library, your local bookstore, or Bookshop.
The Faggots & Their Friends Between Revolutions by Larry Mitchell, illus. by Ned Asta (originally published 1977). I had a hard beginning of the year and was in a work environment where my queerness was just not welcomed or wanted. I read this in the middle of all of that, and it helped me so much. I took this book with me everywhere. I read it on planes. I read it on the bus, and on trains, and at shul. I showed it to friends... sometimes at shul, or professional development conferences. It healed my soul. Now I can’t find it and might get a new copy. When I reviewed it, in February, I wrote: “I think we all need this book right now, but I really needed this book right now. Wow. This book is magic, and brings back a sense of magic and beauty to my relationship with the world.” Also I bought my copy last July, in a gay bookstore on Castro St. in SF, and that in itself is just beautiful to me. (Here’s a post I made with some excerpts)
Once & Future duology, especially the sequel, Sword in the Stars, by A.R. Capetta and Cory McCarthy. Cis pansexual female King Arthur Ari Helix (she's the 42nd reincarnation and the first female one) in futuristic space with Arab ancestry (but like, from a planet where people from that area of earth migrated to because, futuristic space) works to end Future Evil Amazon.com Space Empire with her found family with a token straight cis man and token white person. Merlin is backwards-aging so he's a gay teenager with a crush and thousands of years of baggage. The book’s entire basis is found family, and it's got King Arthur in space. And the sequel hijacks the original myth and says “fuck you pop culture, it was whitewashed and straightwashed, there were queer and trans people of color and strong women there the whole time.” Which is like, my favorite thing to find in media, and a big part of why I love Xena so much. It’s like revisionist history to make it better except it’s actually probably true in ways. Anyway please read these books but also be prepared for an absolutely absurd and wild ride. Full disclosure though, I didn’t love the first book so much, it’s worth it for the sequel!
The Wicker King by K. Ancrum. This book hurt. It still hurts. But it was so good. It took me on a whole journey, and brought me to my destination just like it intended the whole time. The author’s note at the end made me cry! The sheer NEED from this book, the way the main relationship develops and shifts, and how you PERCEIVE the main relationship develops and shifts. I’m in awe of Ancrum’s writing. If you like your ships feral and needy and desperate and wanting and D/S vibes and lowkey super unhealthy but with the potential, with work, to become healthy and beautiful and right, read this book. This might be another one to check trigger warnings for though.
The Entirety of The Daevabad Trilogy by S.A. Chakraborty. I hadn’t heard of this series until this year, when a good friend recommended it to me. It filled the black hole in me left by Harry Potter. The political and mystical/fantasy world building is just *chef’s kiss* - the complexity! The morally grey, everyone’s-done-awful-things-but-some-people-are-still-trying-to-do-good tapestry! The ROMANCE oh my GOD the romance. If I’m absolutely fully invested in a heterosexual romance you know a book is good, but also this book had background (and then later less background) queer characters! And the DRAMA!!! The third book went in a direction that felt a little out of nowhere but honestly I loved the ride. I stayed up until 6am multiple times reading this series and I’d do it again.
An Unkindness of Ghosts by Rivers Solomon. I loved this book so much that it’s the only book I reviewed on my basically abandoned attempt at a book blog. This book is haunting, horrifying, disturbing, dark, but so, so good. The character's voices were so specific and clear, the relationships so clearly affected by circumstance and yet loving in the ways they could be. This is my favorite portrayal of gender maybe ever, it’s just... I don’t even have the words but I saw a post @audible-smiles made about it that’s been rattling in my head since. And, “you gender-malcontent. You otherling,” as tender pillow talk??? Be still my heart. Be ready, though, this book has all the triggers.. it’s a .
Felix Ever After by Kacen Callender. This book called me out on my perspective on love. Also, it made me cry a lot. And it has two different interesting well-written romance storylines. And a realistic coming-into-identity narrative about a Black trans demiboy. And a nuanced discussion of college plans and what one might do after college. And some big beautiful romcom moments. I wish I had it in high school. I’m so glad I have it now! (trigger warning for transphobia & outing, but the people responsible are held accountable by the end, always treated as not okay by the narrative, and the MC’s friends, and like... this is ownvoices and it’s GOOD.)
The Starless Sea by Erin Morgenstern. My Goodreads review says, “I have no idea what happened, and I loved it.” That’s not wrong, but to delve deeper, this book has an ethereal feeling that you get wrapped up in while reading. Nothing makes sense but that’s just as it should be. You’re hooked. It is so atmospheric, so meta, so fascinating. I’ve seen so many people say they interpreted this character or that part or the ending in all different ways and it all makes sense. And it’s all of this with a gay main character and romance and the central theme, the central pillar being a love of and devotion to stories. Of course I was going to love it.
Fierce Femmes and Notorious Liars: A Dangerous Trans Girl’s Confabulous Memoir by Kai Cheng Thom. “Because maybe what really matters isn’t whether something is true, or false. Maybe what matters is the story itself; what kinds of doors it opens, what kinds of dreams it brings.” This book was so good and paradigm shifting. It reminded me of #1 on this list in the way it turns real life experience and hard, tragic ones at that (in this case, of being a trans girl of color who leaves home and tries to make a life for herself in the city, with its violence), into a beautiful, haunting fable. Once upon a time.
I Wish You All the Best by Mason Deaver. I need to reread this book, as I read it during my most tranceful time of 2020 and didn’t write a review, so I forgot a lot. What I do remember is beautiful and important nonbinary representation, a really cute romance, an interesting parental and familial/sibling dynamic that was both heartbreaking and hopeful, and an on-page therapy storyline. Also Mason Deaver just left twitter but was an absolutely hilarious troll on it before leaving and I appreciate that (and they just published a Christmas novella that I have but haven’t read yet!)
The Truth Is by NoNieqa Ramos. It took a long time to trust this book but I’m so glad I did. It’s raw and real and full of grief and trauma (trigger warnings, that I remember, for grief, death (before beginning of book), and gun violence). The protagonist is flawed and gets to grow over the course of the book, and find her own place, and learn from the people around her, while they also learn to understand her and where she’s coming from. It’s got a gritty, harsh, and important portrayal of found family, messy queerness, and some breathtaking quotes. When I was 82% through this book I posted this update: “This book has addressed almost all of my initial hesitations, and managed to complicate itself beautifully.”
Anger is a Gift by Mark Oshiro.  I wasn’t actually in the best mental health place to read this book when I did (didn’t quite understand what it was) but it definitely reminded me of what there is to fight against and to fight for, and broke my heart, and nudged me a bit closer to hope. The naturally diverse cast of characters was one of the best parts of this book. The romance is so sweet and tender and then so painful. This book is important and well-written but read it with caution and trigger warnings - it’s about grief and trauma and racism and police brutality, but also about love and community.
The Prey of Gods by Nicky Drayden.  This is a sci-fi/fantasy/specfic mashup that takes place in near-future South Africa and has world-building myths with gods and demigoddesses and a trip to the world of the dead but also a genetically altered hallucinogenic drug that turns people into giant animals and a robot uprising and a political campaign and a transgender pop star and a m/m couple and all of them are connected. It’s bonkers. Like, so, so absolutely mind-breaking weird. And I loved it.
Crier’s War and Iron Heart by Nina Varela.  I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVED the amount of folktales they told each other with queer romances as integral to those stories, especially in Iron Heart. A conversation between the two leads where Crier says she wants to read Ayla like a book, and Ayla says she’s not a book, and Crier explains all the different ways she wants to know Ayla, like a person, and wants to deserve to know her like a person, made me weak. It lives in my head rent-free.
Queen’s Shadow by E.K. Johnston @ekjohnston . I listened to this book on Libby and then immediately listened to it at least one more time, maybe twice, before my borrow time ran out. I love Padmé, and just always wish that female Star Wars characters got more focus and attention and this book gave me that!! And queer handmaidens! And the implication that Sab is in love with Padmé and that’s just something that will always be true and she will always be devoted and also will make her own life anyway. And the Star Wars audiobooks being recorded the way they are with background sounds and music means it feels like watching a really long detailed beautiful Star Wars movie just about Padmé and her handmaidens.
Sissy: A Coming of Gender Story by Jacob Tobia. I needed to read this. The way Tobia talks about their experience of gender within the contexts of college, college leadership, and career, hit home. I kept trying to highlight several pages in a row on my kindle so I could go back and read them after it got returned to the library (sadly it didn’t work - it cuts off highlights after a certain number of characters). The way they talk about TOKENISM they way they talk about the responsibilities of the interviewer when an interviewee holds marginalized identities especially when no one else in the room does!!! Ahhhh!!!
Bonds of Brass by Emily Skrutskie. Disclaimer for this one that the author was rightfully criticized for writing a Black main character as a white author (and how the story ended up playing into some fucked up stuff that I can’t really unpack without spoiling). But also, the author has been working to move forward knowing she can’t change the past, has donated her proceeds, and this book is really good? It has all the fanfic tropes, so much delicious tension, a totally unexpected plot twist that had me immediately rereading the book. This book was super fun and also kind of just really really good Star Wars fanfiction.
How To Be a Normal Person by T.J. Klune. This book was so sweet, and cute, and hopeful, and both ridiculous and so real. I had some trouble getting used to Gus’ voice and internal monologue, but I got into it and then loved every bit after. The ace rep is something I’ve never seen like this before (and have barely read any ace books but still this was so fleshed out and well rounded and not just like, ‘they’re obsessed with swords not sex’ - looking at you, Once & Future - and leaving it there.) This all felt like a slice of life and I feel like I learned about people while reading it. Some of the moments are so, so funny, some are vaguely devastating. I have been personally victimized by TJ Klune for how he ends this book (a joke, you will know once you read it) but it also reminds me of the end of the “You Are There” episode of Xena and we all know what the answer to that question was.... and I choose to believe the answer here was similar.
You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson. I wish I had this book when I was in high school. I honestly have complicated feelings about prom and haven’t really been seeking out contemporary YA so I was hesitant to read this but it was so good and so well-written, and had a lot of depth to it. The movie (and Broadway show) “The Prom” wants what this book has.
Plain Bad Heroines by Emily M. Danforth. I never read horror books, so this was a new thing for me. I loved the feeling of this book, the way I felt fully immersed. I loved how entirely queer it was. I was interested in the characters and the relationships, even though we didn’t have a full chance to go super deep into any one person but rather saw the connections between everyone and the way the stories matched up with each other. I just wanted a bit of a more satisfying ending.
Honorable Mention: reread in 2020 but read for the first time pre-2020
Red White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston. I couldn’t make this post without mentioning this book. It got me through this year. I love this book so much; I think of this book all the time. This book made me want to find love for myself. You’ve all heard about it enough but if you haven’t read this book what are you DOING.
In Other Lands by Sarah Rees Brennan @sarahreesbrennan . I reread this one over and over too, both as text and as an audiobook. I went for walks when I had lost my earbuds and had Elliott screaming about an elf brothel loudly playing and got weird looks from someone walking their dog. I love this book so much. It’s just so fun, and so healing to read a book reminiscent of all the fantasies I read as a kid, but with a bi main character and a deconstruction of patriarchy and making fun of the genre a bit. Also, idiots to lovers is a great trope and it’s definitely in this book.
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz. This book is forever so important to me. I am always drawn in by how tenderly Sáenz portrays his characters. These boys. These boys and their parents. I love them. I love them so much. This is another one where I don’t even know what to say. I have more than 30 pages in my tag for this book. I have “arda” set as a keyboard shortcut on my phone and laptop to turn into the full title. This book saved my life.
Last Night I Sang to the Monster by Benjamin Alire Sáenz. This book hurts to read - it’s a story about trauma, about working through that trauma, healing enough to be ready to hold the worst memories, healing enough to move through the pain and start to make a life. It’s about found family and love and pain and I love it. It’s cathartic. And it’s a little bit quietly queer in a beautiful way, but that’s not the focus. Look up trigger warnings (they kind of are spoilery so I won’t say them here but if you have the potential to be triggered please look them up or ask me before reading)
Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine.  When asked what my all time favorite book is, it’s usually this one. Gail Carson Levine has been doing live readings at 11am since the beginning of the pandemic shut down in the US, and the first book she read was Ella Enchanted. I’ve been slowly reading it to @mssarahpearl and am just so glad still that it has the ability to draw me in and calm me down and feels like home after all this time. This book is about agency. I love it.
Radio Silence by Alice Oseman @chronicintrovert . I’ve had this on my all-time-faves list since I read it a few years ago and ended up rereading it this year before sending a gift copy to a friend, so I could write little notes in it. It felt a little different reading it this time - as I get further away from being a teenager myself, the character voice this book is written in takes a little longer to get used to, but it’s so authentic and earnest and I love it. I absolutely adore this book about platonic love and found family and fandom and mental illness and abuse and ace identity and queerness and self-determination, especially around college and career choices. Ahhh. Thank you Alice Oseman!!!
Leia: Princess of Alderaan by Claudia Gray @claudiagray . I have this one on audible and reread it several times this year. I love the fleshing out of Leia’s story before the original trilogy, I love her having had a relationship before Han, and the way it would have affected her perspective. I also am intrigued by the way it analyses the choices the early rebellion had to make... I just, I love all the female focused new Star Wars content and the complexity being brought to the rebellion.

What are the major changes you've made in your rewrite so far?
Tumblr media
I been waiting for this. LET’S GO. I’ll put this under a keep reading in case anyone doesn’t want spoilers and just wants to discover everything with the story.
Plus, there’s a lot here, so this is also in case you don’t want a WALL OF TEXT. Bear in mind these aren’t ALL of the changes I have so far, just the major ones for now.
I’ll address how Danny gets his powers at a later time cause that’s a whole other. Thing.
Danny is a He/They Non-Binary, but he hasn’t figured it out yet. Give him time.
He also has ADHD and is fully medicated. Medication or not, though, it still makes life difficult for him.
Maddie and Jack are fully employed as independent inventors and technical/electrical engineers, selling inventions and doing for-hire tech work on the side. This wealth enables them to fund their ghost hunting side-business, and enables them to fully support their kids.
Alongside Jazz, Danny now has a younger sister, Noelle; we call her Noa. She’s eight, autistic, is a tiny blonde haired, blue-eyed spitfire who looks like a Barbie Doll but absolutely knows that she’s at “prime ball punching height” with everyone. She looked death in the face and laughed as a newborn.
Everyone in the Fenton family has an animal companion they usually bring everywhere with them, if possible. It’s kind of a tradition where each Fenton gets one when they turn ten; whether Jack started it or inherited it from generations has yet to be decided.
Danny’s is a blonde ferret named Lola.
Jazz has a pet bunny named Molly. She had another one named Buster, but he tragically died somehow.
Maddie has a barn owl; I haven’t named him yet.
Jack actually has a few. He has a pig, a sheep, and a Highland Pony. The Fenton’s backyard is MUCH bigger than it was in the show, so he has the room.
Noa doesn’t have one yet, but she does have a service dog named Buffy. He’s the shared family dog who kinda lazes around the house doing nothing until he needs to “go to work”; aka put on the vest for Noa.
The Fentons have an AI companion who lives in their house and is connected to most of their phones/devices: Apex, a semi-sentient AI. Honestly, her backstory is completely unknown to me, since she was a sporadic, spur of the moment addition literally as I was writing chapter 1. But she’s very sweet and caring for the Fenton family, and very polite, and has a little bit of sass to her. She’s a peach.
Amity Part is set in Washington state. I wanted the setting for Amity Park to be somewhere that gets a lot of fog and rain. It was either that or Oregon, but I already have somewhere set in Oregon and I don’t wanna repeat Gravity Falls either, lol.
Not only that, but instead of the 90′s, this story takes place in 2055, where the setting is much more technologically advanced. Watch as Danny’s family STILL manages to stick out like a sore thumb.
Tucker is the rich kid this time instead of Sam, and is transgender FtM. Little else has changed about him except for him being a bit more fleshed out and more supportive.
Sam went through the most revisions. Instead of the rich girl whose parents don’t understand her, she’s a foster child who circled through foster homes until she was adopted by a couple living in Amity Park when she was about 11. She’s been living with a relatively normal, nice couple for about three years now, but if you know anything about the foster care system, you know that foster care doesn’t breed trusting children. She’s still defensive, pessimistic and sarcastic, but a lot of her hypocritical, controlling behavior has been toned down by a SHIT ton. She’s infinitely more supportive of Danny and Tucker, and is extremely protective of them for “I was a foster kid and had zero friends until now” reasons.
Dash’s bullying is toned down slIGHTLY? He and Danny don’t really make good first impressions on each other at freshman orientation, and due to personal reasons for Dash, heated emotions and a giant miscommunication, Dash REALLY doesn’t have a high opinion of Danny. Not for stock bully “weak nerd” reasons, but for “wow what you did to someone else was really not okay” reasons. Dash does get a redemption arc.
As does Paulina! She’s still a little bit of a self-focused airhead and a little flighty, but she’s mostly pretty sweet to the people around her in her own well-intentioned but not-very-well-thought-out way.
I AM ALSO PRESIDENT OF THE “VALERIE DESERVED BETTER” FAN CLUB AND YOU BEST BELIEVE I’M GONNA GIVE HER THE ARC SHE DESERVED, DAMNIT.
Oh and Vlad’s a little less campy. Get ready for a guy who does a SCARILY good job at convincing you that Masters and Plasmius are two separate people while he’s in the same fucking room as you.
There is a LOT more that I haven’t touched on here. This is just kinda the surface level stuff before Danny gets his powers... except for the Vlad shit, but come on. I had to mention that. Plus if I was gonna mention EVERY LITTLE IDEA, I was gonna be here writing this post all night. I can go into more detail on anything or anyone specific if ya’ll want!
This isn’t even getting into the inclusion of a new character we’re adding to the main cast.
I’m super excited to talk about/write more of this. I’m editing chapter 1 as we speak!

Happy New Years everyone!!!!!! 2020 is over!!! Lets hope that that was the worst!!!! Hopefully this one will be better!!!!!
In honor of the new year, instead of listing what I wrote this year (*cough cough* you can see all of it in my masterlist *cough*) I thought I would share my current WIPs that will hopefully come out this year!!!
Note: Some of these are close to completion and most of them aren't. Idk when any of them will be posted, or if they will be posted at all, but please stay tuned!!!
Make sure to tell me in the comments/reblogs what one you wish to see first! Maybe it'll motivate me!
Warnings: Mentions of death, injuries, and crying. Tell me if I need to add anything else!
Now, lets get started!
In no particular order:
Moceit Superhero/villain AU
Summary: Janus is the most feared supervillain in the city, the rival to the imbecile Prince Justice. But what happens when he literally runs into a cute civilian in trouble?
Remy x Patton WTIYS
Summary: Patton finds a crying kid in a grocery store, and reunites him with his father, his hot and flirtatious father...
Note: will hopefully be a WTIYS! Tho, I'm still figuring out how that works!
Miraculous Ladybug Prinxiety AU
Summary: Roman had been hiding his secret identity pretty well for the most part, until his crush gets hurt and there is no other hero to save him. Unknown to him, Virgil has a similar situation to his own.
Note: This has been a WIP since like August or something, so don't get your hopes up.
Kind of a Dear Evan Hansen AU but mostly not
Summary: When Virgil loses his best friend, Remus, he finds comfort in Roman, Remus' twin who he never actually talked to beforehand.
Skip
Summary: Janus' favourite way of asking for affection is a nifty little trick he learned in SvSR.
Self Sacrifice!Patton AU
Summary: Janus and Patton shared a childhood together, seeing as they were both the only "good" dark sides at the time. But when Patton leaves him, why does he keep Patton's new secret?
Note: Most likely to post when I finish, I'm really proud of this one.
Gay Disney Prince
Summary: When Virgil finds a crazy man dressed in a prince costume that is absolutely convinced that he came from a different realm, Virgil is immediately terrified of him. Unfortunately, he has a big heart and takes him in, all the while more evidence comes up that this man may not be lying about his past. Can they get the prince back home to his kingdom, or will they both be content to stay together?
Mer!Patton Logicality
Summary: While trying to prove himself to his protective pod, Patton injures himself, waking up in a large tank. Meanwhile, Logan has made the most revolutionary discovery of his life, though, sharing this discovery is not his intention, and he fully intends to help heal the creature so that it may return to it's home.
LAMP From Logan's POV
Summary: Logan writes in a journal so that he may remember his first roommates if he would like to later in his life. What he doesn't plan on is falling in love with them...
Return of the perfume headcanon
Summary: When Roman receives his crush's hoodie to borrow, he fully intends to find out how it smells so damn good. The secret? Virgil's absurd perfume collection.
The Woes Of An Emo: Special Chapter
Summary: What really happened when Logan ran after Patton in the mall.
Note: I doubt I will finish this, as it was mostly for a friend who is no longer in the fandom, but if a lot of people want it maybe i will.
Ghost angst AU
Summary: Virgil is a ghost that lives in Patton's apartment. Unfortunately, he had to go and catch feelings for the living man. But what happens when Virgil is forced to reveal himself to Patton?
Trans!Virgil Logince AU
Summary: When Virgil attends his new highschool, he is afraid that people will find out who he was before this. Fortunately, the first person to find out is his eccentric art teacher, who just so happens to be a perfect match for his father.
Note: Since I am not FtM transgender myself, i am unsure if I would post this, for I don't want to get something wrong and offend anyone. If anyone would like to beta read it when its finished, it would be greatly appreciated.
"You're not my dad!" AU
Summary: When Virgil's father gets a new boyfriend to "replace" his Pa, Virgil's attempts to put a stop to this relationship before he gets a new dad that he doesn't want. Logan just wants his friend to wake up and smell the repression.
And that's it! Ty for reading this far, and make sure to tell me what one you wish to see first in the comments!
Have a good (or a least better) new year!
