thinking again about that time i asked a discord server of tme people not to call me dude and one of them chimed in with a "my general rule of thumb when talking to people who i know to be transfem [yes thats how they said it] is to try to not use gendered terms even though theyre really not gendered" just fucking talking over me and acting like there weren't any trans women in the server

that person went on to call me dude several times before i left the server and told them i wasnt interested in being their friend lol

#wrote a scene involving a trans woman being called dude and so im thinking abt this #im very grateful for the other two tgirls in that server who stood up for me

my polycule was playing this game a while ago where you could say "copy" after another person said something (unless they said "no copy" first) and then force them to repeat it any time you said "paste" until you got a new copy on them. it was fun but we had to stop doing it bc we couldn't stop just copying whatever somebody said when they were cumming and then making them repeat it in front of others as a sort of shame rite

i am a trans lesbian who is jaded and bitter and has developed an inability to trust anyone not transfem and i HATE IT, i HATE living like this, and i am actively working on pushing through the ways ive been hurt and reconnecting to the world. but just saying "no haha dont be cynical" hurts. this shouldnt be MY problem to fix. why should i have to change myself? why should i have to ignore the way the world punches me and my loved ones down? i hate being cynical but i dont think the solution is to tell trans women not to feel this way.

@ other jaded bitter trans girls: its okay to hurt. feel through your pain instead of shutting it down. and in my experience, the best way to overcome cynicism and bitterness is to focus on the other trans girls in your life and make a community where you can live fully.
