Amidst all the James Somerton fallout, I think it's important to remember not to moralize whether or not you or others fell for his grift.
Obviously, if you were rallied into being one of his attack dogs on social media when he put some pretty heinous hits out on people, uh. You might have other problems and should probably evaluate how you spend your time online and how you treat other people before you start caring about the rest of the points I'm about to make. Priorities, etc.
But for the rest of us, it's surprisingly easy to miss just how awful a creator can be.
If you only watched his videos that caught your interest, if you don't really follow creators on social media, if you skip livestreams because watching Some Guy talk unfiltered into a bad camera angle with shitty lighting for hours on end sounds like a fucking nightmare to you, you're not really gonna catch most of this shit. At least, you're not gonna catch most of it from any perspective but the one he tries to spin.
This is a reminder to be skeptical and to trust your gut and check sources if something sounds wrong, but also. Uh. That's still the creator's responsibility not to plagiarize and to fact check their work. You're not morally obligated to be as thorough in curating your experience as someone who is making sure they take every ethical precaution before absolutely destroying a "creator's" credibility in a video like H-Bomb's or Todd in the Shadows'. You're literally just some guy. Most people, myself included, watch these videos as background noise while doing at minimum one other task, you're not gonna google every damn thing he says, especially not on media analysis, where the POINT is to have one's own opinion. THEY'RE the ones trying to be "influencers," or, laughably, "creators." The standards are on them.
And for the isms, phobias, and misogyny, well. Frankly, for my own perspective, I gaslight myself all the damn time when I see red flags. Good Allyship™ has been telling me for years to ignore my own discomfort when someone criticizes a privileged group, especially one I'm a part of. I'm a cis asexual white-passing and probably neuroatypical woman, I am constantly trying to be aware of my own relative privilege while simultaneously doubting my own reaction to things. Despite this, I'd still liked to think I'm a skeptical person, but nobody's immune to everything. Everybody has weak spots.
If you got duped or fell for James' scam, that sucks. I feel ya. I fell for it too, I've seen probably 40% of his catalog over the last couple years and really liked what I'd seen. I recommended his channel and videos to people even if I didn't always agree with every point he made, but it felt important to at least consider what to me seemed like a unique perspective that had value or added to a conversation. There are red flags within his content, his analysis, his rate of publishing, his weird diatribes, that in retrospect, really all added up into things I should have known better than to ignore. But, for reasons I'm interrogating and am adding to my list of things to be aware of about myself, I didn't ignore them, and got grifted. I donated to his patreon a few times, probably gave him like $20 grand total over the years, about as much as I've given H Bomb. The important take away here isn't to be ashamed of the fact that you were fooled, it's to remember that you're fallible.
And it's good to recognize that about yourself. Everyone is, and the ones who say they aren't are lying. They're either gonna be the next person to feel really stupid and foolish when they fall for a scam, or are themselves the grifter.
No one is immune.

as a bi cis woman married to a bi trans man (who passes v well, even tho i don't like using that word it's relevant) we get Those Looks in queer spaces, Pride, etc and it sucks. We are a part of this community no matter what we look like on the outside. More than once, when i've worn something with a bi flag on it or sth similar, i've had people go 'but i thought you had a husband? you talk abt him all the time' and im like.....those two things are not mutually exclusive. just...ugh
anyway i came here to say that your words warmed my heart. thank you for loudly proclaiming that I am also part of this community, bc sadly, that is rare. 🖤🖤🖤
oh of course! 🧡 i'm so sorry you've had that experience. im sending you all the love and hugs.
people of all queer identities are welcome and safe on my blog and around me. there's such harmful stereotypes around bi/pan people and it makes me so angry for yall. we all deserve to be accepted for who we are, no matter who your partner is.
i see so much of it within my own community, while i don't surround myself with those types of lesbians as friends, i see it way too much.
reminder to you and all the bi/pan people out there, you are loved and valid (and send bi/pan-phobes my way, ill put them in their place.)
adding my tags here for context:
#btw friends don’t look in the notes. you’ll see bi/pan phobia.#you can identify as differently from bi/pan and still not be bi/pan phobic. it’s so easy. 🧡#i see so much in the lesbian community of saying ‘stay away from bi and pan girls they’re lying or using you’#i say that as someone who in my last relationship was fucked over by a pan woman.#BUT GUESS WHAT. it had nothing to do with her being pan. she just sucked as a person.#the stereotypes around bi and pan people is so harmful#and i will be your lesbian bestie and FUCKING FIGHT BITCHES WHO ARE MEAN TO YOU#babes you are valid and i love you 🧡#prev i’m so sorry for the fucking essay in your notifs i feel strongly about this#we accept all queer people on this blog#and if you think otherwise get FUCKED#rants#also back to the point in the post. people don't stop being queer because they're dating someone of the opposite sex.#stop assuming shit about people. it's weird.

After reading through the entire EMBAC master list in nearly one night, I absolutely have to offer up two of my favorite ocs for the Ask game!!
First is named Finnegan. He is the oldest son of a well known family of vampire hunters, which is further part of a large gated community of vampire hunters! They not only have people, but their own marketplace, school, traditions, etc. Like a little village. Hunters begin training 12, and become hunters at 19. He's 26 with seven years of experience behind him, meaning he certainly doesn't have the experience to go after a vampire such as Helle. He believes hunting is a mercy for the vampires, that by killing a vampire not only is protecting humans, but also setting a vampires soul free from the inherent torture of being a cruel vampire. He's a bit... Optimistic in ways like that. He's got terrible luck in general, though especially with compasses as he gets lost often, and has an intense phobia of dogs, despite never having actually seen one due to pets being illegal in the community. He's also got quite a loud personality and doesn't often think things through.
The second OC is Finnegan's younger brother, Declan. Declan is three years younger then Finnegan, and not a vampire hunter. He decided not to at 12, and promptly became a social outcast, losing all his friends and support systems. Except for Finnegan. His brother being on his side and defending him is the only reason he didn't die young and he knows this well. Declan is a self taught lockpicker, having been getting into the classified Archives since he was a kid, and learning things that the communities Council would much prefer hidden since he was a kid. He also has his own way in and out of the community, since one can't leave without permission. These are all grave offenses that could cost him his life if they were to be discovered. Declan doesn't believe in the inherent evilness of vampires, but that they can be good just like any human could be. This has led to him trying so hard to drive his old beliefs and biases from his mind, that he accidentally reversed it. He'll always give a vampire the benefit of the doubt, and assume anyone saying a vampire did something wrong had the same views of his parents and was being judgemental and biased. It's also worth noting that, because of the taboo of vampire bites, he has developed a ... Strange desire to discover what they feel like. How his blood tastes. He's eager to know these things, very much so.
In the story I have planned for them, it basically involves Finnegan getting captured somehow on a hunt, and Declan sneaking out to *save* him. But not really, he simply wants to get his brother away from their family and community, force Finnegan into therapy, and live happily ever after. There will be many trials during this time, like vampires the family has pissed off, but that's fine.
Sorry for the absolute wall of text... /Gen
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"A hunter village..." Beck mutters. He likes the sound of that, even though he knows he could never become a hunter, thus could never gain the protection that would come with living there. "I'm jealous. It must be the safest place on earth. I... I also think... well... I think it makes sense that a human soul would suffer in an immortal body. And I think that's what turns vampires so cruel. But as much as I like to say I think it's merciful to send a vampire back to the grave, and it's not even really 'killing', I... I can't do it. It's too much like killing."
"I hope Finnegan will be okay. He sounds like a sweet person..." He thinks about Gael, the hunter he immediately got killed possibly at the very beginning of his hunter journey, and he shudders. "He should stay away from this area, though. Please."
"As for Declan, please stay away even more. Helle would tear him apart! Can you even imagine? A naive guy like that, looking to be bitten– God, Helle can be so manipulative, they'd have too much fun with him... But, but I do understand why he'd think like that. And why he wouldn't become a hunter. I wouldn't do it either." He thinks for a moment. "I'm sure he'd be okay if he found one of those vamp-obsessed communities here. They're also outcasts, but... a community of outcasts. I think they must be looking out for each other. If he wants to do dangerous stuff, he should at least do it with like, twenty other people."
Helle's eyes light up at the mention of a hunter village. "Oh, what fun! I would love to meet them all." They're 100% thinking about picking off the hunters one by one until the whole village crumbles under the weight of terror. "What an adorable life philosophy. Mercy killings... Even the term makes me... excited."
"I would love to be the lucky guy to capture Finnegan on a hunt. I would treat him so well! I would only let him get attacked by a rabid stray dog once." They love exploiting phobias a little too much. But then again, what is too much? "For the rest of his stay, I would be the only one doing the biting. Cross my mercilessly un-staked heart."
"Oh, Declan..." Helle is practically buzzing with excitement. They have to take a deep breath to calm down so they can even talk normally, without sounding too unhinged; without mentioning the thounsand different ways they would love to exploit that sort of curiosity, that intense need to be right about someone's innocence, that desire to forgive and accept. They'd give Declan a detailed description of the taste of his blood alright. Every single night, forever. Oh, how they'd love to use the stupid kid as a chewtoy, to show him all the ways a vampire can be cruel and depraved. "He sounds lovely. My mansion has a nice, shiny lock, and hides many treasures. Just putting that out there."

a draculaura kinnie (me) explaining draculaura’s hemophobia (fear of blood/fainting) as somebody who also has the same phobia
So its kind of a joke in monster high that draculaura will faint if she sees blood or even meat due to her being a vegetarian, however there are some other canonical events that i believe play into her reaction to blood and i’ll also give you my two cents on what fainting from being exposed to blood is like for me!!
if you were unaware, draculaura is actually adopted! she was adopted by dracula after her human parents died due to the plague, and she also was born a human as well - dracula turned her into a vampire to save her from dying to the plague as well and adopted her and raised her as his own from then on. its not clear if draculaura had severe hemophobia as a young child or when she became vegetarian, but a popular theory is that due to her not being a natural born vampire, she is more sensitive to blood and the concept of feeding off of it.
now, i am a person with severe sensitivity to all things blood, gore, and medical related and i have a fainting disorder. if im exposed to any of my triggers, high levels of pain, or extreme emotional distress my body will automatically produce a vasovagal response, and i will faint. i can’t remember anything that caused me to form this phobia and most of my fear is related to not wanting to pass out, being unconscious is terrifying! so i don’t believe draculaura would need any sort of traumatic explanation for her hemophobia or fainting, i think it could be something she was born with and/or developed when she was very young like i was.
the way draculaura is shown to faint in the series is obviously very dramatic for the cartoonish effect and also for humor (which part of me hates as i was teased about fainting at the sight of blood all my life), but she seems to recover very quickly. just as quick as she is out, she can be fully awake and talking again as seen in episodes like “Fear Pressure” when she tells frankie to get her out of the situation only a few seconds to a minute after fainting. she even is able to walk out with minimal help from frankie, so she may not even have fully gone unconscious in some of these situations which is also known as “greying out.”
look i know its just a cartoon, but for the sake of spreading awareness about vasovagal syncope and using my comfort media to cope, here’s my take on how draculaura would actually experience a fainting episode in a more realistic setting;
- First, a trigger is presented (blood from an injury, a meal with meat and blood in it, etc) and she is exposed to it - Internally, her blood pressure would spike due to the extreme fear and rapidly drop causing her circulation to be all out of wack which causes the vasovagal response (fainting).  - This can feel like extreme anxiety, tingling and numbness in her limbs, lightheadedness, weakness in her muscles, and her vision would darken until unconscious.  - Then, in order to help with a swift recovery, she should be laying flat with her legs propped up to allow for proper bloodflow to the brain, this will help her regain consciousness after no more than 2 minutes on average  - She may feel confused, have lingering numbness or tingling throughout her body, lightheadedness and other pre syncope symptoms, these could last until she has fully regulated her system again - It is unlikely she would be able to stand and walk on her own immediately after waking up, it would most likely take several minutes until she could do so without help, it could cause a SECOND vasovagal response if she attempted to stand up too quickly (iron deficiency gang where you at??) - Eating or drinking substances with high sugar can help with recovery as the sugar boost to the brain helps to basically kickstart it and get things moving again - After fully recovering from being unconscious, she may have no further problems throughout the day, or she may feel drained and tired after using so much energy in her body. it truly depends on how bad the episode was, how long the effects lasted after waking up, and the general stress of the situation involving her trigger
This is all explained by how i experience fainting and what i know about how vasovagal syncope effects the body, im by no means a medical professional. this is just for fun y’all. hopefully if you decide to include draculaura’s fainting and hemophobia in a writing, comic, creative project, etc. that this helped you understand a bit more! thanks for reading if you made it this far, it really makes me happy that anyone would be interested in learning about this condition and how difficult it can make life.

post/721119387881553920/so-about-that-holes-confession
No salt back! just trying to help explain!  This is my experience however, not everyone's.
Short, TL:DR answer: because phobias are irrational and not everyone's brain works the same.
Long answer BUT BEFORE YOU READ know that I am in no way saying that Flightrising should cater to phobias. It's a website for more than just me and people with phobias, it's for people without phobias too and people who enjoy this content. We need to do our part to tailor our experience to the best of our own ability. It's totally okay for us to be upset when we encounter our phobias but forcing others to adapt is not. I'm totally on the side of the argument that FR owes us nothing.
I've had this phobia (hole phobia/trypophobia) since I was a child, I won't go into too many details but let's just say something really awful happened that resulted in me seeing the worst possible thing related to it.
My brain latched onto that and while I'm in therapy, medicated, and have spent years trying to manage it the best I can I'm still not okay. I try really hard but if I see a beehive for example, I go through all the fun stuff of not being able to breathe or rationalize, I full blown panic and I'll never return to that place again even if the beehive is taken away. I've missed school, work, once in a lifetime opportunities etc because of it.
Yay phobias! /s
The real awful part is that my brain doesn't let me forget what I've seen. And relates stuff that is similar to it. So for example, I see spots on a Dalmatian.  Instantly my brain goes through a pattern of SPOTS--->HOLES--->INJURIES--->TRAUMATIC MEMORY. It connects the objects just because they are similar. It's messed up, irrational, it makes everyday extremely difficult to get through.
Bubbles set me off. Too many O's side by side in a text post set me off. Spots, chocolate in a chocolate chip cookie, peach fuzz on a person's face, the list goes on and on. All because my brain connects the things.
And I know at the forefront of my mind that these things aren't what messed me up and aren't actually holes where they shouldn't be but my thoughts spiral back to those memories almost instantly and the cycle starts all over again.
So this is why I personally struggle with stuff like some of the genes. I know they're just drawings but they bring my brain back to that awful time and place. Hopefully, one day, I'll get better and find a technique to manage this that works for me.
In the meantime, I'm just blocking everything that triggers me with adblocker on FR and trying to enjoy my funky little dragons.

Asking on anon because I don't feel like getting fucking lambasted by both radical sides of this. But I think they're are some folks that talk about transandrophobia (not you, baeddel-txt, etc) that are starting to pick up on toxic masculinity in the same way TIRFs picked up on TME/TMA shite and the like. (I have it on my blog but only because I'm tired of getting a toss up treatment from shallow transfems and getting reduced to either a cis man or them insinuating I'm not who I say I am, and the like. Frankly as of today I'm muting all of the related tags on both sides because frankly... I need a break).
I agree with y'all just like, be aware of it just like transfems should be aware of our own problems.
I also dislike the whole TIRFs "reclaiming" baeddel as a.) It's literally a ye old slur for intersex people (re: tfems having a problem with fetishizing intersex people, speaking from personal experience here)
b.) it reads like a far inferior version of reclaiming the tslur, which tbh, I would just prefer if they did that.
Also I guess if you ask this and you care so much about who's sending this, I'll reveal myself, just don't make it public because I don't need to be getting harassed by TIRFs for being a weird reject because I just choose to be both a girl and a boy identity wise and clearly the everything not binary fem phobia (even if I meet the criteria of not "CAFAB" to them.) they have is still clearly alive and well considering I took a soft ban 3 months ago for it. (After getting a full ban rolled back bc of staff reviewing it.)
The "baeddel"/TIRF ideology reminds me a lot of my own internalized transmisogyny turning me into a shithead radfem both pre and post coming out, but also everything else going with it.
That's not to say that there isn't some areas where it can be disproportionate. I also don't understand the obsession with violence statistics when a.) It shouldn't be happening period and b.) I don't think either side is accurately reported, really, unless it's entirely relying on self reporting. Also c.) I don't know how much of violence on trans SWers is reported in that, i could see it being even or even mildly trans fem biased, not statistically significant though.
I'll be honest here in that I am not 100% sure I'm understanding you correctly, but it sounds to me like you're making a couple of different points that I'd love to be able to engage with- I think I just need some clarification first so I can make sure I'm not completely misinterpreting what you're trying to get across.
So like, if it's cool, I would love a follow-up ask to clarify a couple of things!
What are folks doing with "toxic masculinity" that you feel is similar to what TIRFs have done with TME/TMA? My understanding would be that TME/TMA were turned into a kind of definitive label that people use to determine who's allowed to speak on certain issues, who's "oppressed enough" to matter, etc., but I don't really see a way that parallels "toxic masculininity" among folks who talk about transandrophobia. Unless you mean that people are distancing themselves from the possibility of being masculine in a toxic way on the basis of their identity? (If that's the case, I think I'm misunderstanding the connection to TME/TMA)
Could you expand on: "The "baeddel"/TIRF ideology reminds me a lot of my own internalized transmisogyny turning me into a shithead radfem"? I think the sentence after that muddied what you meant, for me, and I'm curious what insights you have there!
Also RE: statistics, I really agree that there need to be more studies and research into these issues in order to get any real sense of clarity. IMO the best uses for statistics of violence and discrimination against trans people, specifically stats that tell us who is facing what kind of discrimination, is to better understand the systems causing us harm in order to work towards dismantling them.
Trying to determine "who has it worst" overall is pointless and self-defeating. The goal should be to understand why transmascs tend to face more lifetime sexual violence, while transfems tend to face more childhood sexual violence. Not to decide which issue to give a shit about and which issue to ignore, or which trans people "deserve" to be prioritized over all the others.
I will also say that the study I draw from more than others is the U.S. Transgender Survey, which relies on self-reporting. I recommend checking them out if stats interest you; they're pretty expansive and had a massive sample size. The 2015 results have been published for a while, and 2022 results are coming soon.

Sometimes I wonder if I should be in ed recovery spaces and reblog recovery things because, for me, my ed was never truly about weight. That was just reasoning my brain latched on to so that I didn't have to face hard things in my life. A way for me to have control. Yet 99% of the posts in the recovery tags are about weight. Do I belong there? I shouldn't take up space that those people need?
Of course you can be in ED recovery spaces! There are a variety of eating disorders, and body-image-based EDs aren't the end all and be all of eating disorders. For example, some people have ARFID based on sensory issues or contamination phobias. Some people have orthorexia, which can be rooted in body image issues but isn't always. All EDs share one common factor - that the pattern of eating is affected by the disordered thought pattern. If you're posting about your lived experience as a person who has struggled with disordered eating, then you are not taking up space that others need, much as the gatekeeping tendencies of Tumblr like to make people fear. Instead, you will be MAKING space that YOU need. (And hey, it's not like having recovery content posted and boosted around further takes away from anybody.) In fact, if you feel ready to share about your experiences, you may help people to feel less alone when they, too, have some of the less-commonly-discussed eating disorders.
If you're looking for more community, though, you could try using the tag best aligned to your specific issues, like "arfid" "compulsions" "control issues" etc. These are only examples, you can try searching around to figure out where you can find experiences that match your own. But you do have a place in ED recovery spaces, regardless!

8, 18, 26, 32, and 39 for crane ask game!
(you don’t have to answer all of these btw hahah)
Omg thank you!!! :D I’m so excited!
(For this ask game!)
8- Favorite form of fear toxin?
Liquid!! I think he loves the special properties of all the different forms, but liquid has more advantages and appeal for Jonathan. After all, it’s easier to handle and there’s less of a risk he will get contaminated than with gas or dust. Plus I think he would enjoy the chemistry aspect of having vials and beakers of bubbling fear toxin! Most importantly, my scarecrow fights with a scythe, which is good for bringing enemies closer to you- and Scarecrow uses this to his advantage to scare people who are trying to run away; and then he’s able to scare them more by slowly injecting them with a needle.
18- Any phobias to speak of?
I think that Jonathan has a fear of contamination/diseases. My scarecrow has the tragic background with his grandmother (but different torture than the crows), so as a child, he had no control over his own person or his own space. Sadly, as an adult, even though he escaped his grandmother’s torture, his trauma still plagues him as feeling like he has no control over his person/space, which now manifests as thoughts of germs/chemicals.
This makes his work with fear toxin extremely difficult for him, but I think he doesn’t feel like he has a choice to *stop* his experiments even if his fear is greatly harming him.
I think his main motivation to continue creating and experimenting on fear toxin, though, is that he has phobophobia: he has a fear of fear. Which seems odd at first, since he’s the Scarecrow, but really he is afraid of experiencing the fear he felt in his childhood. In order to never feel that again and to repress his emotions, he has to master fear and rise above it and control it. At the same time, he subjects other people to fear as a way to soothe his emotions/as an outlet for his pain by making other people suffer as a retribution for his own anguish.
(Someone really needs to get my boy therapy ToT)
26- Do they hone their inner farmer/country person or have they distanced themselves from that life?
He embraces it!! I think Jon really loves farming and the land he grew up on. He didn’t have any friends or a loving family as a child, so I think he sought comfort with the only other thing available to him: the farm. He loved the animals and the thunderstorms and running out into the fields to escape his grandmother. That’s why he chose to be the Scarecrow: he found control over his fear by hiding away among the stalks of corn, crouching and sitting still and observing the crows. He even trained some too, which is why he has so many pet crows now. It was the only part of his identity he had control over, and he chooses to embrace that, even if elite Gothamites at Gotham University snicker at his background.
I also think part of the reason he has such a strong attachment to his farm is because Scarecrow is almost creature-like to me: in this case, he’s super aware of his environment, and he sees himself as a part of it (which also allows him to sneakily blend into places very well).
32- What is their sense of humor like?
Ooh this is a kind of hard hc for me. Hmm let me think. I don’t think his humor is really defined in terms of like “jokes” or “dry” etc, but rather, the defining feature is that his humor only makes sense to him. He’ll make jokes about obscure psychological facts about fear, or just something that reminds him of something completely unrelated (in the eyes of everyone else). Lol
39- Random fun fact!
Scarecrow is trans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D I think this plays a lot into his childhood trauma and how he openly embraces whatever he likes as an adult.
I also think he likes to sing, and sings a lot to himself or to his crows, but would be caught dead before he sang to someone else. (However, he can sing extremelyyyyy creepily which he does to scare his victims).
Also very random, but he has dyslexia and a lot of certain synesthesia (grapheme-color, spacial sequence/number form, time-space, kinesthetic, and ticker tape)!
Thank you again for sending the ask and if you made reading this far lol!! <3 This was so much fun :D I haven’t really fleshed out my version of scarecrow before, so this made me super excited!! :)

transmisogyny is not transphobia against trans women. transmisogyny is the combination and intersection of transphobia and misogyny. that's why transmisogyny has a term and transandrophobia isn't one. molsno has a great and long answer to this question and so does transmisogyny-explained in their carrd. just because you experience something Differently does not mean there needs to be a different word given it's not an intersection of androphobia and transphobia. White trans people experience extremely different transphobia to trans people of color but there doesn't need to be a word for it because there's no intersection of two oppressions, just one oppression combining with another experience. I understand you feel isolated, but no one in the trans community is isolating you for being "afab," and terfs are waiting in the wings for transmascs to fall down the "amabs in the trans community get more attention and resources -> afab trans people are isolated -> afab trans people are oppressed under a specific axis that corresponds to being afab -> sex-based oppression is real -> bioessentialist oppression where trans women have power and trans men are below them -> reproduction of terf ideology with pronouns in it". terfs have already said they're overjoyed about transmascs "recognizing" that they'll "never be prioritized when males are around" etc etc and i have receipts on that. please just listen to the people trying to educate you, even if they aren't "nice enough" about pointing out when you've done something wrong. you're kind of employing a lot of fragility and the stance of a victim to avoid actually responding to a majority of the criticisms. you're 27 and if you can dish out stuff that trans women have been saying forever is transmisogynistic, you should be able to deal with people telling you when you did. tone-policing isn't helping. just apologize.
so it's one particular word you're taking issue with and therefore invalidating my entire personal experience, lol. If you took more than two seconds to actually find out what words mean, you'll see we came up with our own term because there was such a widespread belief that because trans men are men they can't experience transmisogyny.
"White trans people experience extremely different transphobia to trans people of color but there doesn't need to be a word for it because there's no intersection of two oppressions, just one oppression combining with another experience."
that's because white people aren't oppressed for being white???? There are, however, words for the unique ways that BIPoC people experience varying 'phobias. Because it's a unique intersection of the two phobias.
I understand you feel isolated, but no one in the trans community is isolating you for being "afab".
point me to exactly where I said I was being isolated by the community. In fact, when all this harassment started last night I was literally at a birthday party comprised of entirely trans people? I was talking about official resources and local media representation. Trans women aren't excluded from forgetting and ignoring trans men, of course, just as trans men aren't excluded from performing transmysoginy (which i would apologise for if I'd actually done any of the things I'm being accused of), but I never once said it was trans women perpetuating or causing it -- that was a bad-faith argument made by someone who wanted to sound more righteous than they are and drawing conclusions that I said repeatedly I never implied nor said.
I agree that TERF talking points come from conclusions that we can all draw and therefore we must be careful, but I have spoken to every other fucking trans person in my local community of all ages and we all agree that different types of trans people get treated differently because CIS PEOPLE see us differently. Did you not read JKR's bullshit essay? Tell me she didn't treat us differently.
I also agree that we shouldn't need a new word! You're correct! It's absolutely the intersection of transphobia and misogyny!!! So tell that to the large number of people who have repeatedly told us it isn't. The need for a new word comes from the need to describe the unique experience because people like the cunt in my notifs have decided we can't use the original word anymore. You can't tell us we can't use a word and then tell us we can't make up our own one. We've gone through several words y'all have a problem with -- it's obvious by now the issue isn't actually the words we use, it's just that we're voicing it.
Additionally, why is it that y'all can be so aggressive about accusing transmascs of transmisogyny (a form of oppression. therefore implying that we can sideways-oppress trans women) but when we make vent posts that even vaguely maybe possibly seems to (read: doesn't but you want it to) imply that other trans people can treat us badly y'all will lose your minds claiming we're trying to imply trans women are oppressing us???
Let me get this right:
if a trans woman says a transmasc treated them badly for being a different type of trans, the transmasc is wrong because it's sideways oppression
if a transmasc says a trans woman treated them badly for being a different type of trans, the transmasc is wrong because you can't perpetuate sideways oppression
Make it make sense.
I'm not tone policing, I'm telling you y'all are literally making shit up. I'm not apologising for something I didn't do, say, nor imply.
I will apologise for reducing the problem to afab vs amab trans people as that was uncalled for, but while the wording was sloppy the issue is still the same and the response would not have changed.

RKZ Fandom Boundaries/ Consent
Ive seen some creators make these boundary lists as of late and although I’ve accepted that I cannot control what a fandom does, I believe its at least important to vocalize my boundaries so there is no confusion in the future.
This is mainly about Roadkillerz, but can be extended to apply to whatever else I make in the future!
[CW: Brief mentions of nsfw topics, p*dophillia, and other problematic subjects common in fandom, will also briefly mention hate speech]
1. Fan Merch/art/fic/etc
- Although I would prefer if you financially supported me first, I do not mind the creating and selling of fan merch such as art prints, stickers, etc!
- With that said, I will discuss what I am personally comfortable with seeing depicted:
1a. Hate Speech
- I do not encourage the promotion of hate speech such as lgbtq+ phobia, racism, sexism, anti semitism, etc using my work/characters as the face for that. Not only does it directly go against my own values, but for RKZ specifically, goes against the intended themes of the series (nazi “punks” are posers)
- On the topic of politics, I dont mind the promotion of, love speech? I guess? I dont know how the groups affected would feel about fandomifying important issues, but if you want to use RKZ characters for political stances that dont fall under hate speech go for it. Pro-lgbtq fan works for example is fair game.
1b. NSFW
- To be super blunt: I do not mind NSFW content as a concept, majority of my characters are of age (18+) unless stated otherwise.
- I, however, will expect some very basic criteria:
One, I do not feel comfortable with ships between family members, adult/children, etc. I dont want to encourage ship discourse since anything can be considered abusive, but as long as its NEITHER of those two things I do not care.
Two, Please be a responsible ADULT (no minors are permitted to publicly post nsfw content of my work) and keep any nsfw art/fanfiction out of the main tags. I understand minors will still seek out content not meant for them, but there are also people (not just minors either) who want to be able to scroll through a tag without seeing something they dont want to. Sex is about consent, and if your work doesnt include at LEAST a warning of some kind that aint good.
Overall just have some common sense, and if you do see people doing these things please dont debate them- just block and move on. I hate it too but getting into flamewars isnt productive and you’ll just be angry and you’ll never change their minds. Bonus thing: love yourself, care for yourself
Ok I think thats the most i’ll put for that? Now for things unrelated to content
2. Staff interactions
2a. I am alright with having a casual back and forth with fans, however I highly discourage developing parasocial relationships. If you wish to be my friend, you HAVE to treat me like a person. I do not respond well to idol-worship or lovebombing. I’ve had many bad experiences with people being super weird with that. I am not saying this to be rude, but I can and will block you if you make me feel uncomfortable, spam my DMs, or do anything else that I believe oversteps my comfort. I prefer to not befriend fans anyway since that promotes power dynamics, plus the before mentioned idol-worship which just makes me feel inhuman, so do not get your hopes up
EDIT: ALSO THIS SHOULD GO WITHOUT SAYING, But do not attempt to block evade/cyberstalk either. It WILL not end well for you. (if you want to know what counts as cyberstalking, it should be at the point where you dedicate your life to finding out literally everything about a person- casually checking my socials is fine as long as it doesnt absorb your life)
Cyberstalking and block evading are a clear rejection of established boundaries and if you participate in that, then you are just scum. Theres no woke twist you can put on it to justify it. Its wrong no matter how you feel about somebody.
2b. With that said, please do not harass anybody involved with the production of Roadkillerz/Other works including VAs, friends, friend of friends, etc. Please remember that they are humans too and have the right to privacy and healthy relations like anybody else.
2c. Fetish mining/sharing nsfw content/etc: Even though I said I dont mind NSFW content, I still do not consent to receiving sexual messages from strangers that includes but are not limited to sexting/flirting, sending nsfw art/fics, irl photos in a sexual manner, requesting I draw fetish material like Sam wearing a straight jacket (TRUE STORY, BY THE WAY.), etc.
If i think of anything else I’ll add to this but for now I believe this should be enough.

i've been scrambling to find flags/terms relating to all types of adhd, the same way ive seen a ton of flags for different ocd types/subtypes, same for other disorders (npd, specific delusion types, etc) i feel like it'd be great for people to have flags they can use to specify theyre type! if you could help find something like that id absolutely love it... /not forced
As far as being recognized by psychologists and co., there's only the three subtypes (primarily hyperactive, primarily inattentive aka me, and combined). There's also cognitive disengagement syndrome (formerly sluggish cognitive tempo) which is another attention disorder but not exactly an ADHD subtype, more like a parallel disorder of attention. My OCD subtype flags have all been subtypes that are recognized by clinicians so far. They can be found on NOCD which is a treatment and info site for OCD. There are also clinically recognized subtypes for personality disorders and delusions which is probs what you've seen flags for (although I have seen some PD "archetype" terms/flags but I consider that different from a subtype and more of a way to express yourself than describe symptoms, totally valid though).
That being said I think creating unofficial subtypes of existing conditions is... probably fine? Definitely better than straight up MUDs (for those who haven't gone into radqueer rabbit holes out of morbid curiosity, that means people making up entirely new disorders without any basis in science or any research or anything). But subtypes of existing conditions isn't a thing people besides those in the field of practice are doing yet afaik. I've considered doing this for OCD myself because obsessions and compulsions can be about anything so any number of subtypes exist as long as someone experiences them. But subtypes of things like OCD and phobias are a lot more simple, straightforward, and inherently implied/included under the disorder than it would be for something like ADHD. I think it's probably fine but it would require more consideration than coining a gender or something and individuals should get input from others with the condition. And definitely don't coin subtypes for conditions you don't have (unless you're helping someone who does, I suppose). Trust me, I super super get the appeal especially for those who don't fit the "stereotype" their neurotype has bc that can feel alienating for sure (I actually think this is a core reason why folks feel the need to coin MUDs to describe their exact symptoms, with the other core reason being that people with symptoms unexplainable by any existing condition want a "reason" or "cause" to attribute them to when sometimes people just... have symptoms, on their own, not fitting any diagnosis). Just be careful and considerate, please!

i'm back on my f.naf 4 bs, so it's time for me to ramble about more sammy hcs - namely, his masklophobia.
Masklophobia is described as an irrational fear of masks, people in costumes, and mascots. Symptoms of it are most often seen in children, who cry, scream, hide, run away, etc., when faced with a costumed character.
During the events of FNAF 4, Sammy's brother (and friends) torments him by wearing masks of the characters from Fredbear's. Sammy seems particularly frightened by the mascots when they are worn by a PERSON, with Fredbear reminding him of "what he saw." Each and every time Sammy encounters a masked character, he gets "unreasonably" freaked out -- whenever his brother scares him, he has a full-on meltdown, lying in place and crying. When he's in Fredbear's, and is "chased down" by someone wearing a Fredbear costume, he gets so overwhelmed that he breaks down before he can even reach the front doors to escape.
All in all, I think I'd lean towards the idea that he has masklophobia rather than a fear of the animatronics themselves. A few moments in the book even highlight that Sammy doesn't fear the animatronics at all -- most notably, he prefers when they dance "mechanically" (aka, without a performer inside). It could be that he only develops a fear of them after what happened to Charlie, but I have my own Hot Take(TM).
Fredbear's became heavily associated with Charlie's death after the events of Halloween, 1982; for Sammy, the diner went from a "home away from home" to a complete nightmare. He started to fear the animatronic characters, but not because they themselves were a danger -- he was scared of the people inside of them.
Remember, Charlie's disappearance was ON Halloween. Sammy was surrounded by people in masks, both Fazbear-related and not; as a result, costumes, mascots, and masks were all intrinsically tied to the worst night of his life. As he panicked about Charlie's death, and watched the partygoers search for her, all he saw were strangers in costume. The experience unfortunately served as a perfect phobia-creating storm.
After Halloween, Sammy still loves the animatronics, but seeing anyone wear the springlock costumes or the masks of the characters sends him into a panic. It's why the plush (lifeless) versions of Fredbear & friends (Foxy aside...) are still treasured by him, considered his own friends, but he can't handle being scared by his brother wearing a Foxy mask or being approached by a man in a Fredbear costume.

At the behest and request of a good friend of mine, I now have a fursona. It took me AGES to narrow down what animal I wanted, discerning based on animals I liked, animals that would be aesthetically pleasing, animals that I could actually draw in a humanoid matter and etc. I narrowed it down to a bunch of canids, bears, and cats...and for some reason the Red Panda specifically stood out to me. The black legs reminded me of the stockings I wear so much, and the face streaks sorta reminded me of my constantly baggy eyes. Plus, they're adorable. So I stuck with Red Panda, but felt strongly about adding a twist of my own to the idea. That's why she has a more purple-y scheme than average, I wanted to give her a more "twilight/sunset" color scheme.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Character Break Down:
"Full Name": Rosalinda Evelyn "Eve" Framboise
Sexual Orientation: Sapphic, but in the sense that she prefers feminine traits. She's also poly.~
Age: 25
Birthday: July 31st
Ethnicity: She'd be French-Spanish in the real world. Like, Spain Spanish, as opposed to my very Caribbean based other characters.
Eye Color: Dark teal.
Hair Color: The windows match the curtains...though I guess her hair is a bit more on the navy side.
Height: 6ft even. The heels add on a few inches but at that point it's hardly noticeable.
Weight: 188 lbs
Cup Size: G for Grande. She's rather big.
Other Features: Her fur isn't bright orange like most red pandas. It's more of a raspberry red, and it's also really shimmery in certain places, almost to the point of being holographic. It's most noticeable on her tail, strongest near the tip. Her fur patterning is also naturally "wavy" for lack of better term. The fluff around her neck is also something unique to her, and is in fact part of her regular anatomy.
Overall Attitude: She's got the mannerisms of a ditz, (and she's certainly no stranger to spacing out at times) but credit where credit is due, she's actually rather bright, intelligence and demeanor wise. It's really REALLY hard to make her sad, and she's always there to give an optimistic spin on situations and to fact check and put into perspective any sort of negative news. If all else fails, she gives amazing hugs, and not just because of the obvious two reasons~ She can be a little oblivious to her natural provocative figure, but she's not a pushover so don't take her for granted. She just likes to wear whatever's cutest on her.
Problems: That energy isn't inexhaustible. On the off-chance you do catch her tired, she's almost a completely different person. She drinks a LOT of coffee to counteract it, but sometimes that doesn't help. Her favorite coffee shop (which is also a bookstore) has dedicated a section of the store to her where she can pass out and fall asleep if she happens to do so...which is more often than one'd think. Also, that intelligence of hers doesn't come in handy when she loses track of pretty much anything in her possession. She's a bit of a scatterbrain.
Phobias: Hospitals. Yeah, surprisingly. A lot of medical stuff scares the heck out of her due to an old experience of hers where she wandered around a practically empty hospital during the graveyard shift due to an accident her mother had attained. The atmosphere of the situations really made her uneasy and it grew into a fear.
Style and Mannerisms: You could describe her sense of style as very "Sanrio crossed with an artsy librarian". She wears a lot of knit sweaters in cute pastel colors, paired with heels and skirts of all kinds. Her personality sort of exemplifies it too, being very soft and matronly almost. She's got big "ara ara" energy if need be though, and while she doesn't do it often, she absolutely can be very mischievous if the need arises.
Relationships: She and a certain blue wolf have quite the history with each other <3
Likes: Coffee, cute sweaters, winter, quiet bookstores, painting, pancakes, hugging people, BEING hugged by people, Mac and Cheese
Moral Alignment: Neutral Good
Powers: She keeps it a secret, but she actually does have powers. She can manipulate space and create portals (they take on the shape of holes in space with wavy edges, sorta like the patterning found all around her) virtually anywhere she needs and can manipulate said portals into any shape and size she needs them to be as well. It's the only power she has, but she's super creative and sneaky with it.
Weaknesses: The power itself doesn't really have a "drawback" other than the fact that it is no way an offensive moveset unless she gets creative with it. Other than that, she's not much of a fighter in the first place.
Favorites:
Color: Take a wild guess. Though other than Raspberry, she's also fond of indigo, cream, and periwinkle.
Places: Bookstores, cozy ones with an older feel to be precise. She's a fan of the rustic charm.
Food: Pancakes. She prefers hers with butter pecan syrup and cinnamon sugar on top.
Media: A lot of Shoujo anime.
Songs Associated with Her:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=I0JVRc… ("Telephone Number" by Junko Ohashi)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4ZjUo…  ("Cascade" by Kubbi)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_hdmt…  ("Le Festin'" by Camille)
Possible Voice Actress:
Cassandra Lee Morris potentially? I'll keep a lookout for even more VA possibilities, but if anyone else has any suggestions i'd love to hear 'em~

loki wont let me make people stop being stupid
but my autistic brain is gonna ruminate until i say something so this is my compromise
first of all transgender does not mean someone genuinely believes they already have body parts that they don't have. Transgender also does not mean just following the social roles of another gender. I don't know where yall are getting that, but clearly yall have not even tried doing a BASIC google search. lord. go outside. go actually talk to some trans people. and if you wanna debate about something Do Your Research. like do it????? do you think you can debate a pharmacist when all you know about medication is "pain medicine make pain go away"??? tf???????
0.1% of the global population is 7,800,000 people. quit acting like its a small number of people. its a small percent. oh my god. im sick of people acting like an issue isnt important because it only affects a small percentage of people. There Are A Lot Of People. god
issues like blankism and blankphobias and such are not always gonna be big and loud. they're gonna be ingrained in a society like flour is ingrained in a cookie. you cant take a bite of a cookie and say "there no flour in this" just because you didnt get a clump of powder. -isms and -phobias will look like the fact there is barely any research on a group of people because they were so disregarded. It's gonna look like all the research was done by a certain type of person because for years an oppressed group wasn't even allowed to go to school, and when they were legally allowed they still faced obstacles (prejudice/financial, etc) because of who they were, and those obstacles further prevented these people to conduct studies. Not to mention studies should be peer reviewed, and if your peers hate you for who you are, who says they'll take your work seriously.
It's gonna look like doctors, even non -ist or -phobic doctors, won't diagnose you adequately because they don't know that your tests are abnormal since the basis of "normal" is not your demographic.
its gonna look like jobs being less likely to hire you, Not because of your demographic, but because of traits commonly associated with your demographic. (ex: "were not turning you down because youre autistic! its just that you were kind of weird in the interview socially so we dont think you'd be a good fit even if you still have the skills and experience for the job .")
its gonna look like most hairstylists not knowing how to do your hair, because they were not taught about your demographics hair type in school. its gonna look like your own demographic struggles on how best to take care of your hair, because they were forced to chemically alter it through the years.
its having parts of your culture ripped from you so far that most of your people forget it, and when its brought back up without context and twisted beyond recognition its demonised. and its so far removed from you that you cant recognise it and you demonise it too. and when you learn better and know the history of why its regarded that way, people ridicule you for bringing -ism or -phobia into it.
its everyone having a skewed view of history because they are only taught the history of the majority. and your people are not the majority. your history is a half of a textbook's unit. your history is an optional class. your history adds more money onto your tuition if you were to take it. and its never acknowledged. its never Their History and Your History. its Your History and the other is simply called History.
its not always about being hated. its also about being forgotten
its you having to change yourself for the society, because they historically have never made space for you, so you have to take extra steps to change yourself to fit and you are still expected to have the same amount of available energy available. not to mention even after getting legal rights you still have to work harder to get to the point everyone else was already at since they weren't held back. jesus
also learn how to read stats pls. learn how to read around them. learn to consider context and do research on that. i know too many of yall will read something like (im making these up) 70% of people who eat caviar have depression and assume caviar makes people depressed or that rich people are more depressed than everyone else. thats not how it works. you need to consider how much of the general population has depression. and that maybe rich people are more likely to even afford a diagnosis. and how many rich people were surveyed? 30, or 300, or 3000? what is the definition of depressed in this context, just the emotion or the disorder? and who conducted this study? is it peer reviewed? where are these rich people? are they in the same country you live in or somewhere else entirely? and what is the culture like? are the rich people in this situation culturally more educated on depression? would they generally be more open to saying they are depressed than anyone else in the same country? how old is the study? what percentage of these rich people are, let's say, women. are the women more or less depressed than the other rich people in this study? because if more of the women were depressed, and there happened to be more rich women than men, is it because they're rich, or is it because they are women? and now you have to look into if depression symptoms are more or less disregarded in female patients. just having statistics does not make you the "winner" especially not if all of them only have one side of an equation.
another thing, learn wtf a mental illness is i swear to god. you cant just say something is a mental illness just because its strange. there are actual criteria required to meet in order to consider something a mental illness. they teach you this within the first few weeks of any fucking psych class and i know this because ive taken so many. learn what a delusion is, learn what psychosis is, learn what ocd, autism, adhd, eds, etc are before you start talking it. respectfully, some of yall sound dumb. you can fix that. go learn. maybe watch crash course or something idk.
and i think an important part of anything is to evaluate yourself first. so remember to ask yourself why do you care. is it because you care about someones well being, or about something cringe, or because you want to feel right, or because you want to BE right, or do you just wanna look for holes in someone else's argument without having anything to prove yourself, etc. this is especially important for when you want to have a mic drop moment. if all you care about is something being weird or unusual, and you debate with someone who cares more about minding their business as long as no one is harmed, when you say "but people are dressing up at cats!" why would you assume they give a shit. are they robbing people while in the cat suits? are they making you wear a cat suit? no? okay then i dont care. "but its weird" so is devoting so much time to focusing on people in cat suits but you didnt seem to have a problem with that--
if you take something from this that's great. this isnt particularly to start shit im just autistic and prone to rumination and i saw too many stupid talking points. good god.
