Aww. Beck's affinity for bats makes so much sense. 💜
"This! This, one hundred times this! Don't hurt them!" Beck is very passionate about this, he's literally about to tear up because the description from the bat's pov is so cute and heartwrenching. "I hate that cartoons and movies made everyone afraid that bats will somehow hurt them! It's stupid! They're so harmless, and they make adorable squeaking sounds!"

tired: the bats are so weird and creepy and everyone else is always so normal compared to them!
wired: impulse started fidgeting so hard he just started vibrating and clipped halfway through the floor and part of helen's foot before he realized what he was doing. this is just a normal tuesday
inspired: superman, superboy, and supergirl are sitting together in midair having a mild-mannered midwestern discussion as to which of their nonpowered combatant friends has the most fucked-up looking bones. several of said friends are in the room and really wish they wouldn't do this

Please tell me there are wedding day shenanigans that devolve into Benedict and Sophie hiding under a table while secretly overhearing Anthony and Kate confess their love for each other 🤣🤣🤣
Ben and Sophie hidden behind the curtains while Anthony lets out a frustrated noise.
“Jesus Christ Kate! I am not this guy! I’m not the guy who asks my brother’s fucking girlfriend to pick him!”
“Anthony-”
“I don’t want to feel like this, but I can’t stop thinking about you. And Ben’s not right for you but I could be!”
Sophie gasped, her eyes darting to Ben. “I’m so sorry.”
Ben made an awkward face, “I’ll… find a way to move on.”
“Weren’t you guys together for… kind of a while?”
Ben winced, “I think if we keep eavesdropping you’ll find out that I’m not deserving of your sympathy.”

I’m sorry for annoying you but how do you draw potc characters?? (Especially jack and Beckett) it’s really hard for me to draw them correctly :,D
Hoo boy this is uh. Well. I tried.
(Keep in mind this is how I draw these characters, not how everyone should draw them)
And here is a tutorial I made for drawing Davy Jones

Real talk, but Shonda doesn’t even have to make up complications when it comes time for Benophies season since book canon is already so insanely chaotically messy (and I love that for them).

is Bee a little spoon? Feel like they would want to hug onto the MC and mayhaps hold onto MC forever.
Hi Returning Visitors,
I hope you're having a great start to April! 💐 While I do have a few funny questions about the TFS characters, I was in the mood for something softer today. This is also a public post on TFS Patreon. 🌲
Tumblr media
As for cuddling, it might depend on your Returning Visitor's preferences, but in general:
Either works for B! They want you to express your preference first to ensure your comfort level since this is new. They're just happy to be cuddling you. 😌 B would have a very soft look on their face and will pull you near or tuck closer after the two of you settle down.
_ _ _
Hmm, S would probably be okay with either so long as they also get to hold your hand while you're cuddling together. I could see a slight preference for big spoon with them. They enjoy wrapping the MC up in their arms or pulling them back against their chest to rest/unwind.
_ _ _
The Verner heir is a butter knife or a grapefruit spoon... >.> R can sometimes bea little spoon, not that they would ever call it that, and they would shuffle around for a while before settling next to you to be held, silently daring you to say something about it. R likes (craves) the contact! They seek out the reassurance of touch, so being held or holding the MC satisfies what has been missing and overlooked in the recent past. (Ms. Verner hasn't hugged her child in years, and R isn't used to the softer, gentler side of physical intimacy.) It's more likely to happen—to be expressed—deeper in romance when their guard lowers some. 🖤👀
In general, they just prefer you both to be wrapped up in each other, molten spoons!
_ _ _
J tends to be the big spoon. They like to hold you very close and have you near. On occasion, our Detective would actually really love to be the little spoon after long days at work or if they just need to be held, preferably tucked away in your arms and knowing you won't let go. It's a rarity, but when it happens, you'll know how much J missed you. (Bonus points if you play with their hair, which can help them relax, if not melt, even further into your hold.)
_ _ _
JR's cuddling somewhat depends on the MC's preference, but R likes to be in the middle or have you in the middle, while J tends to be on one of the sides. R is determined to have contact with both of you! 😏 J is more lowkey about this, draping an arm over the two of you or occasionally resting a gentle hand so they know you're there. Deeper in romance, R will be able to pick up, if not sense, when J needs to be in the center. They'll ensure that J gets that time and affection.
_ _ _
Mal is already known for having an encompassing presence that ensnares the MC. This is only reinforced by their scenes in Book Two that can significantly deepen the romance route. Our beloved red flag might turn into a blanket for those who treat them right. 💞 They'll want the MC firmly entrenched within their space by either holding them to their chest or allowing themself to be held. Regardless, Mal returns any attention tenfold. Big spoon, little spoon, switchblade, etc. As long as they're with you, Mal doesn't really care about the positions.
_ _ _
I hope you enjoyed these moments with the TFS characters! 🌲💚 Thank you for your support, patience, and encouragement.

It's Christmas, so imagine! When Helle and Beck go outside, there's two beaten and tied vampire hunters with gags. One has a sealed envelope pinned to it's shirt. The note inside reads:
"These are two sacrifices we hope you'll find worthy. The rest of their little hunting clan was taken out by us. We hope that, with this worthy offering, you'll consider allowing us, a small group of five vampires, into your territory. Just for a sort amount of time. Merry Christmas sir, to you and your.... Mighty sired."
Helle cackles for a whole minute at the hesitant 'mighty sired' part. "That must be you, oh ferocious and intimidating creature of the night," they tell Beck, bursting out laughing again before they even finish.
"What should we do with... with the poor hunters?" Beck asks urgently.
"I shall let you decide." They sound nonchalant, as though two people's lives didn't hang in the balance. "There are a plethora of options to choose from."
"M-me?"
"Yes, yes. Go on." They lean back against the wall of the mansion, gesturing towards the bound humans who are now looking at Beck with wide, pleading eyes.
"I'm... gonna let them go, then," he says tentatively.
"And risk them coming back for revenge?"
"They won't. They're terrified. I wouldn't, if I were them. I'd count my lucky stars and harbour resentment from a safe distance."
Helle hums in thought. "Alright. Would you pass up the easy meal, though?" That makes Beck hesitate a bit more, and Helle wastes no time digging deeper. "You feed on the blood of innocents, yet you would let hunters go free?"
"Th-their clan has been wiped out... They, they must be so miserable–"
"Is it the bruises? Or the ropes? Should we let them heal and then should I present them to you under enthrallment? Would that make it acceptable?"
"I, I don't... No! No, I just–"
"Do you think your meals look any different when I first approach them without much magic? They too scream and thrash and look at me with fear. You never see that part, of course."
Beck's stomach drops. Helle's right. He's a fucking monster either way, and this would honestly be a slap in the face to those poor, innocent humans... No. No, he can't think like that. He's well-fed right now, he can't take the lives of two humans just because.
Would you rather take someone else's once the hunger hits?
He shakes his head. "I want to let them go, please."
Helle nods. "Fine. Let them go, then."
Beck is trembling a little as he slowly unties the ropes, that fear in the back of his mind still lingering. What if the hunters stake him immediately after being freed? Is this the right choice? Why is he even thinking about murder being a better alternative?
The hunters don't hurt him. As soon as they're free, they scramble to their feet and run off. One of them yells back a tearful 'thank you', and Beck is suddenly filled with the warmth of having saved someone's life.
"Noble," Helle remarks, awfully unimpressed.
"What about the five vampires, master?" Beck asks, eager to change the subject.
"Oh, I'll pick them off one by one. I would loathe to set a precedent."

You discussed this already in your character analysis of James Norrington, but I was wondering what specific sort of ego death / metaphorical death James would have to experience if he did survive? Any ideas on what specifically would have to happen to him to achieve the proper character arc completion?
Ooooh that's a good question! Thank you for taking an interest in my original post :>
Now, what specific ego death would James have to go through to complete his character arc... well, let's get into it! To begin with, the most important thing that needs to happen is for James to realize that his Commodore/Admiral persona is not as just or righteous as he thought it was, and that most of the decisions he had made trying to hold onto that persona either directly or indirectly got people hurt, or even killed. I believe that James would begin to question his decisions up to this point as Beckett starts mass murdering people in the name of ending piracy, but he would try to ignore it and convince himself everything was fine, up until his reunion with Elizabeth where she informs him of her father's death and Beckett's deception on the matter, and he fully, completely realizes that he has let himself become corrupt and complacent to corruption, and that he needs to change.
After this, there are a few ways his "death" scene could go. Maybe he fakes his death so he can escape with Elizabeth without raising suspicion. Maybe he does get injured as he escapes with Elizabeth, and the crew of the Dutchman don't think he'll survive. Either way, the crew of the Dutchman need to think that the Admiral is dead - not just that he deserted, because he had done that before as a Commodore and still came back, but properly dead. Because as far as James is concerned, the Admiral is dead. Now that he has found a way off the Dutchman, James needs to come to terms with the death of his own internal identity. He is no longer Admiral James Norrington, Scurge of Piracy, and upholder of righteousness. He's just James. And he needs to fix the mistakes he has made. So he accompanies Elizabeth to Shipwreck Cove, and gives the pirates all the information he can about Beckett's approaching fleet. The number of ships, how well supplied they are, any weaknesses that could be exploited - anything and everything of relevance that could help the pirates take Beckett down. And then we get to the final battle - the Dutchman versus the Pearl.
Now, there are only two ways I can see this going that would be a satisfactory end to this part of James's character arc. Either he would die on the Dutchman, sacrificing himself for Elizabeth, Jack, or Will, or he survives the final battle, and pledges himself to Elizabeth and her unborn son, Jack and the Pearl, or Will and the Dutchman. Choosing to pledge himself to Elizabeth would be the easiest option, as there is no real moral dilemma or personal conflict there, and he'd be doing a good thing by looking after her and her son. Choosing to pledge himself to Will and the Dutchman would be a bit more difficult because of his personal conflict with both the ship and its new captain, but it would be rather poetic for his arc to end with him helping ferry the souls of the dead when so many had died because of his actions. Choosing to pledge himself to Jack and the Pearl would be the most difficult, both because of his personal conflict with Jack, and the moral dilemma of becoming a pirate after having spent so long in the Navy, even if the Navy turned out to not be as righteous as he had originally thought. It would definitely take him some time to come to terms with the decision, and he would need to find a balance between being a pirate, and being a good man(thankfully Jack already haa some experience in that department). Ultimately though, there is no correct answer for who James would end up choosing, and it's really up to personal interpretation. As a Sparrington shipper, it's clear who I think James would end up choosing, but if you think he'd be more likely to choose Will or Elizabeth, your opinion is equally as valid as mine!
And so, that's how I think James's ego death would go, and how he would reshape himself afterward. Thank you so much for the lovely ask, and thank you all for reading! I hope you all have a wonderful day <3
