I hope you're having a great start to April! 💐 While I do have a few funny questions about the TFS characters, I was in the mood for something softer today. This is also a public post on TFS Patreon. 🌲

As for cuddling, it might depend on your Returning Visitor's preferences, but in general:

Either works for B! They want you to express your preference first to ensure your comfort level since this is new. They're just happy to be cuddling you. 😌 B would have a very soft look on their face and will pull you near or tuck closer after the two of you settle down.

Hmm, S would probably be okay with either so long as they also get to hold your hand while you're cuddling together. I could see a slight preference for big spoon with them. They enjoy wrapping the MC up in their arms or pulling them back against their chest to rest/unwind.

The Verner heir is a butter knife or a grapefruit spoon... >.> R can sometimes bea little spoon, not that they would ever call it that, and they would shuffle around for a while before settling next to you to be held, silently daring you to say something about it. R likes (craves) the contact! They seek out the reassurance of touch, so being held or holding the MC satisfies what has been missing and overlooked in the recent past. (Ms. Verner hasn't hugged her child in years, and R isn't used to the softer, gentler side of physical intimacy.) It's more likely to happen—to be expressed—deeper in romance when their guard lowers some. 🖤👀

In general, they just prefer you both to be wrapped up in each other, molten spoons!

J tends to be the big spoon. They like to hold you very close and have you near. On occasion, our Detective would actually really love to be the little spoon after long days at work or if they just need to be held, preferably tucked away in your arms and knowing you won't let go. It's a rarity, but when it happens, you'll know how much J missed you. (Bonus points if you play with their hair, which can help them relax, if not melt, even further into your hold.)

JR's cuddling somewhat depends on the MC's preference, but R likes to be in the middle or have you in the middle, while J tends to be on one of the sides. R is determined to have contact with both of you! 😏 J is more lowkey about this, draping an arm over the two of you or occasionally resting a gentle hand so they know you're there. Deeper in romance, R will be able to pick up, if not sense, when J needs to be in the center. They'll ensure that J gets that time and affection.

Mal is already known for having an encompassing presence that ensnares the MC. This is only reinforced by their scenes in Book Two that can significantly deepen the romance route. Our beloved red flag might turn into a blanket for those who treat them right. 💞 They'll want the MC firmly entrenched within their space by either holding them to their chest or allowing themself to be held. Regardless, Mal returns any attention tenfold. Big spoon, little spoon, switchblade, etc. As long as they're with you, Mal doesn't really care about the positions.

Happy Birthday Everly! 🎂

I was trying to decide (my Fernweh Saga MC) Everly's birthday awhile back ago using this post and this one as a guide, so I decided to try making a timeline, or well, listing the birthdays in order of age anyway.

(The years are just for examples, NOT canon).

So, in order from oldest to youngest (removing Ms. Verner and Mrs. Dorran because I have no idea of their ages):

Mal: May 26th (????-1999), Gemini. ♊ Hawthorn (The Illusionist)

J: July 2nd (1999), Cancer. ♋ Oak (The Stabilizer)

R: November 22nd (1999), Sagittarius (the Scorpio-Sagittarius cusp). ♐ Reed (The Inquisitor)

S: February 8th (2000), Aquarius. ♒ Rowan (The Thinker)

Everly: February 29th (2000), Pisces. ♓ Ash (The Enchanter)

B: October 17th (2001), Libra. ♎ Ivy (The Survivor)

A: March 4th (2002-2003), Pisces. ♓ Ash (The Enchanter)

R got the year before S and MC simply because generally that late in the year, if R was born the same example year as the MC (2000), R would have ended up in the school year/grade under MC because the birthday cut off date is usually August or September iirc (if they are in the USA anyway), and if I'm not mistaken they are meant to be in the same grade school year as both S and MC. So keeping them in the same grade got priority over keeping their birthdays in the same year.

I also have it on good authority (I asked the author and got permission to share the answer) that A is younger than B by a year or so and Mal is older than the MC (though I don't know by how much). So Mal gets a range starting with question marks for their birth year, and A got a range that makes them one to two years younger than B.

Forgive me for not tagging Mal but I'd rather tag them by name rather than Waiter and Waitress but since we don't have their names yet I can't tag them.

Facts:

If you think the cast hasn’t been forced to watch the entirety of the BCU (Barbie Cinematic Universe and as of 2023 currently sitting at 42 films 💅), you need to spend more time with Barbie.

Barbie and Mrs. Verner will never get along … at first. Barbie isn’t one to not have the first AND last words in a conversation. (Definitely not my way of saying the office scene with R would turn out any different but…. 👀 Mrs. Verner will know she’s making a mistake even if it means Barbie has to talk over her to get her point across.)

But I also like to think that they would swimming get along once they have a common interest (cough R cough) because Barbie sees Mrs. Verner as a respectable, powerful woman. Hopefully Mrs. Verner can also see that in Barbie.

💕RO’s:

💕B - They are so in tune with each other that they unknowingly copy the other’s movements. Literally the bestest of friends. Would have shared a bed with B because why wouldn’t you want a week long sleepover with your bestie as you explore your childhood town!

💕S - Once they are in a deeper relationship, Barbie and S would braid each other’s hair. Barbie also adopts adding a pink section of hair to match S’ cerulean. Mrs. Dorian would also have so many pictures of S and Barbie napping on the couch.

💕R - R once broke Barbie’s Barbie in a game of keep away in grade school, which made Barbie cry in front of R for the first time. R promptly had Mrs. Verner buy them a new one to give to Barbie. Barbie also had an Ken/Barbie doll that she forced R to play with (“Because you both have blonde hair and live in a cool, dream house!”) and eventually gave them before they left. I like to think that R still has that doll :).

💕J - Their matching necklace is actually two half’s of a butterfly that magnetically connects to make a whole butterfly. If there was an option to hug J though-out the story, you better bet your bottom dollar that Barbie would hug them through-out.

Becca Warrick:

The moment Phoebe told Becca about the letter, she immediately began to organise work leave so she could accompany her to Fernweh and show support. She would make sure her closest friend was cared for, no matter what.

Phoebe hates having to be back in Fernweh, and more or less clings to Becca at every single given opportunity. She is her lifeline, her reminder that outside of this Gods forsaken town, there is a life she built herself  that she will return to, and everything will be OK.

Phoebe and Becca have been close friends since the year Phoebe was sent away from Fernweh by her grandfather. Becca found Phoebe crying alone on Father's Day, and took it upon herself to befriend her, starting up a conversation about bees – the subject of her photography at the time. In the following years, the two would joke about that meeting, and began calling one another “Bee”.

While Phoebe has dated other women in the years since they first met, Becca has always been the constant person in her life through every high and low. Through her time at Fernweh, Phoebe slowly realised why her past relationships never worked out: She was in love with Becca, constantly comparing whoever she was with with her. She always had been, she just had never realised.

Phoebe feels absolutely, horrifically wretched for Becca being trapped in Fernweh with her, and entirely responsible for it. Every morning she wakes up to see Becca’s spot at the table empty, knowing its because she’s out walking the boundary, trying to find a way out, twists the knife. She’s worried her best friend, the woman she loves, might regret her. Regret ever coming. Maybe even hate her. She wouldn’t blame her, Phoebe’s own mind echoes those sentiments.

Sofia Dorran:

Phoebe never really knew much about Sofia, save for the facts that she was lovely, her mother was really nice, she read a lot, and she was her neighbour when she was little. While Mrs Dorran always doted on the young Phoebe, her daughter tended to prefer to read quietly, and Phoebe was entirely too shy to initiate any kind of proper interaction.

Since returning to Fernweh, and spending her time living in the B&B, Phoebe and Sofia have been getting along a bit better, with Phoebe having grown to be a little more assertive, and Sofia appreciating the genuine care Phoebe shows those around her – especially her mother.

This new closeness is nice – Phoebe may be a friendly gal, but she’s not very good at actually making new friends. Sofia is a lovely person, and even respects Phoebe’s wishes when she is asked not to refer to her as Bee (its just a her and Becca thing), something that skyrocketed Phoebe’s opinion of her.

Reese Verner:

This is a... complicated one. Reese has always been particularly hard for Phoebe to read. She could never be truly sure if he was her friend, her rival, or something in between. She certainly never liked his mother. Because of this, Phoebe treats most interactions with Reese tentatively, like someone approaching a scary looking dog.

More than once, her mother had suggested that maybe the reason Reese was so competitive and vaguely annoying with her, refusing to call her by her first name, was because he had a crush on her. Phoebe hates that idea, and not just because she’s a lesbian. She can’t stand the idea of being a part of that family, or having such a frustrating partner.

That said, Phoebe is a forgiving and friendly person, and it has been a long time since she was last in Fernweh. And, even if she was never sure if he was ever truly her friend, she does have good memories of the Verner heir, and is making a (very cautious) effort to try to befriend him. It’s not gone horribly, but it definitely needs some work.

James Corvin:

If Becca is Phoebe's anchor now, James certainly was when she lived here. He was her best friend, and Phoebe used to find herself at the Corvin farm, laughing and playing pretend with him and his sister Alina more or less every afternoon. She still wears the necklace he got her when they were little – a little sword that slots in behind the matching shield James wears on his necklace.

There’s a lot of reasons for Phoebe to hate Fernweh, to want to forget it ever existed. James Corvin is not one of them. Learning he had written her letters and they had never been delivered to her had been devastating, especially because she had assumed he hated her for leaving given the supposed lack of contact. If there’s a good thing about returning to Fernweh, its being able to see the Corvins again. She loves them both like family, and has gone out of her way to properly reconnect since she returned.

The Waitress:

Mal. Oh boy. Whatever magic is in that woman’s eyes that can cause Phoebe to freeze like someone pressed pause on her should be studied and weaponised because it’s potent.

She’s stunning, of course, but that’s actually not what’s gotten Phoebe so spellbound. It’s the mystery of her, the deep darkness of her eyes, the true care she shows for almost everyone she interacts with. How does she know her favourite food? How is she showing up in her dreams? How can someone so stunning and spellbinding have never stood out before now? Why does it feel like she can look right through every wall and mask she has and see the raw vulnerability inside?

In any other circumstance, any other, she wouldn’t feel so horrid for being so spellbound and smitten by the Waitress, but now she’s realised how in love with Becca she is, Phoebe is having a bit of a crisis. Becca isn’t poly like her, at least, she doesn’t think she is, and she would rather cut off her own leg than hurt her Honey Bee. But nonetheless, whenever Mal is in the room and fixes her with that look, it’s all Phoebe can do to not melt into a tiny gay puddle.

A bit about Phoebe:

Being “kicked out” (as she thinks of it) of Fernweh and more or less thrust into the foster system almost immediately after she lost her parents in a fire when she was still basically a kid really did a number on Phoebe. She has major abandonment issues, and is very slow to trust, despite being outwardly very friendly.

To her mind, she lost her parents, and all of a sudden absolutely nobody she cared about wanted her around anymore. Her Papa (grandfather) slowly cut himself off, and she never once got a single letter from a friend, or literally anyone from Fermweh until her Papa passed away. She might be friendly and forgiving, but that’s because she wishes the world had been more friendly and forgiving to her. She truly thinks her grandfather stopped loving her, and blames herself for it. She believes nobody could truly love her just for being her - the fact that Becca has seen her at more or less her worst and still stays around is baffling to her.

Because of all this, Becca being there for her for all these years, through breakups and breakdowns, and even coming with her to Fernweh has solidified her as a core pillar in Phoebe’s life. She’s shown time and time again that she will be there no matter what, which is something Phoebe feels she has never truly had before.

This doesn’t mean she doesn’t expect the worst the moment something she’s done causes Becca pain. The separation being trapped in Fernweh has caused feels like slowly drowning, and Phoebe is beyond worried that she’s ruined the most important relationship in her life.

She’s been through some doozies as far as relationships go, often falling for people that take advantage of her abandonment issues and clingy nature. As a result of the generally crappy experience her life has been, she tends to be sarcastic and make jokes out of everything – particularly at the worst time you could possibly make a joke.

She still plays her guitar, most often selecting songs based off of people she cares about. Given how distressingly short that list of people is, a very large number of these songs are romantic, cute or indie in nature. Her first instinct when she wants to show someone what they mean to her is to sing for them, and give them a personal trinket – though she is always surprised when people give her little trinkets, or do little performances for her. She does not value herself very highly at all.

Also, fun fact, Phoebe is trans! Something she figured out about a year before the fire. Since she didn’t have very long in Fernweh after coming out, Becca has been her primary support through the process (yet another reason why Phoebe thinks the entire world of her)

Last Thoughts/Ramble:

Golly I adore Fernweh. If you haven’t read it yet, I cannot stress enough how much you should. The first book is both on the Choice of Games website, and the Hosted Games app, and it’s written by the wonderfully talented and amazing Aelsa Trevelyan (who I definitely don’t have a massive crush on). Once you’re done reading and re-reading and re-reading it and are sufficiently obsessed, do yourself a favour and join her patreon. I guarantee you will not regret it.

Now, with that little plug out of the way, I wanted to gush a bit about this beautiful world and its amazing characters. The sheer page-turning grip the Fernweh Saga has on me is palpable. I adore horror, and the eerie, subtle, almost psychological horror themes, paired with cryptids and supernatural abilities, and some truly spectacularly written romance, make this series absolutely incredible to me.

I’ve played/read a lot of interactive novels, but none of them have ever wormed their way so deeply into my mind as TFS. The town of Fernweh is so beautifully rich with lore and intrigue that I just need to know. The imagery Aelsa portrays with her words is equally wonderful.

 But where this story really shines is the characters. All of them, not just the romance options. Every single one is so vibrant and rich, you truly do feel like they’re real people. I don’t blame Phoebe for falling in love with Becca, I think I might have as well. Every interaction feels appropriately weighted and realistic.

I adore this budding series with my entire heart (which the discord channel may be sick of, given how much I post fan art and fanfic 😅). The freedom to mould your character however you like, while also having a pre written origin story is so interesting, and makes me want to know more about the character I more or less created myself.

So yeah. Do yourself a favour. Read the Fernweh Saga. You will not regret it.

New Fernweh Saga (@lacunafiction) MC: Joshua Wei ("Bugs" is a nickname he gained in college)

(I have used my original MC, January Cohen, for every playthru - making different choices, different personalities, from max to least resistance and every romance option. All of the sudden, January sees James as family (her cousin/her brother) and cannot romance him.)

As soon as Joshua learned what a crush was, and realized the difference between liking someone and like-liking someone, he knew he had a crush on Jane Corvin. He never said anything, not believing that Jane would like him back - a weird kid with big ears who was obsessed with insects. (The best way to impress your crush is to show her the best caterpillars and stick bugs... right...?) He did throw away the matching necklace in an effort to put those feelings behind him and to forget about Fernweh.

Joshua did well in school and his parents encouraged him to pursue the musical instrument of his choice. He doesn't know why but he attracted the attention of Reese Verner. The "rivalry" mainly annoyed kid-Joshua, he was a shy kid and wished Reese would not be so intense and competitive. Returning Visitor Joshua is in denial that there could be an attraction there. (Joshua also outgrew most of his shyness and is more willing to quip back at Reese.)

Joshua met Beckett Warrick in college, they were randomly assigned the same dormitory and met at an introductory event for incoming freshmen. They found out they had similar tastes in TV and bonded over a shared love of watching the Great British Bake-Off and Anthony Bourdain shows.

While growing up, Joshua always got along with Sofia Dorran, but he often didn't know what to say in social situations. Thankfully, Sofia didn't seem to mind that Joshua's quiet personality. They spent many afternoons together, Sofia reading and Joshua pouring over bug encyclopedias. Joshua always hoped for a deeper and less shallow friendship.

There is something about the diner's waiter/waitress that makes Joshua uneasy and makes him feel like a nervous child again. He remains polite but not too friendly, making him just another customer.

How would the ROs react to someone asking for their number when they are dating the MC? 

Hi Anon,

I hope you’re doing well.

For this ask, we are going to pretend cellphones are common in Fernweh despite the lacking signal. :D

B: I feel like B might actually almost give it before realizing this was meant in a romantic way. Let the backpedaling begin! “Oh yeah, I'll add you too. My partner has all the heart emojis though. They are also, like, my emergency contact, so... What's your name again??” Hopefully, their sheepish flush isn't misinterpreted as a blush. It was an accident! They are going to tell you once you come back and/or rescue them.

S: “I’ll pass, but thanks.” Polite, nonchalance helps to soften S's rejection, although any persistence/insistence from their admirer will cause S's sharp wit to leave a mark. They will likely try to create some distance after that answer, walking away or going back to reading, etc.

R: “483-003-21—My partner will kill you." 🥴 No hesitation with shutting the person down with a slightly playful edge to it. Yes, they would say this even about the sweetest and shyest MC just to make it clear that they aren't available or interested. R doesn't understand how the person missed the hint from earlier, but they are willing to remind them. 

J: “...I don't have a phone.” 😐 Very calm, possibly too calm, and neutral. Before the person could even ask for their number, J was starting to look for you since they lost interest while still not yet cluing into their admirer's infatuation with them. If the person insists, J leaves. They don't have time for this and would much prefer finding you again. (Also, yeah, J has a phone, only very few people know their number.) 

Mal: “Now why would you want my number when your phone's broken?” The admirer might grow confused, lighting up the screen of their phone to prove a point, just in time to see Mal's polished smile turn sharper. They get the hint and back off, possibly backing away. Zero tolerance from Mal, especially since this person must have timed asking them this question given how busy our enigmatic server can be.

🕊️ Fernweh: Davor lived a happy life there and didn't think about leaving in the future. Maybe for some trips, but he knew it would always be his place, his safe place... 'It was a mistake to come back here.' - that was his first thought when he tried to fall asleep on the first night in Fernweh. The nightmares came back as he thought they would. He wants to leave as soon as possible because he feels that it is not safe for Becca to be here.

🕊️ Gramps Dan: That was his gramps who taught Davor how to play the guitar. As a young child, Davor always admired him and believed he was the most intelligent person in the world. After the death of his parents and how his grandfather treated him, he was devastated and angry. He wanted answers soo badly but didn't get any. He lived loathing his grandfather ever since. The news of his passing stirred up a lot of negative emotions that Davor had previously managed to suppress. At the beginning of the story he couldn't care less about his grandfather, but because of his journal he started to believe him. Things that his granfather lived through made Davor even more angry at this messy town …but he's willing to forgive his gramps…

🐝 Becca Warrick: It was a ...funny story that brought both of them together and they look after each other ever since. He considers Becca as his precious (not in a negative-possessive way) treasure, he literally can't let anything bad happen to her. That was also she who came up with the nickname 'Dove'... (and she's literally the only person who calls him that, others wouldn't dare...). He had feelings for her for quite some time but didn't act on it... until now. Although he didn't express it, he felt very nervous about Becca being in the town where he grew up. He was curious (but also scared) about what she could think of this town. He felt like he was revealing more of himself to her…. and he forgot about any worries pretty fast, because the town started being weird as fu--.

🕊️ Reese Verner: Back then Davor was quite cheerful and enjoyed competing with Reese regularly. They teased each other a lot. Davor always thought that Reese had a crush on him, was it true tho? donut know, but he certainly had. ...why does he appear in his nightmares? Maybe the crush stage never disappeared...? Seeing him again was a nice experience, sure... but ignoring the circumstances, he is still unsure if it was worth it and is struggling with his thoughts… Would it be worth it to return to Fernweh just to see him... again? welp, good thing he doesn't have to think about it much, am I right?

🕊️ Sofia Dorran: The two of them maybe did not have a strong relationship, but he knew Sofia is the ideal person for engaging in intelligent conversations. He enjoyed spending time with her, solving the puzzles that gramps created for them both. Davor wasn't a fan of fantasy books, but she managed to change his mind about them. Davor knows that Sofia did take good care of his grandfather, but he still doesn't quite know if he's grateful for that or wished she spent her time more... valuably... He was tempted to ask Sofia to borrow that book she found in his grandfather's bedroom, but he thought better of it. It's better to leave Fernweh… Even so, his curiosity wasn't properly fed.

🕊️ James Corvin: Maybe not brothers by blood, but definitely brothers by choice. Davor treated him as if he was the brother he always wanted to have. Back then Davor always placed a high value on his family… until now. At the time, Davor tended to be more impulsive and James was usually the one who kept him from getting into trouble (which often involved Reese). It was really hard, for both of them, to see each other after so long. Their first interaction was pretty awkward... I would even say that most of their interactions were . James noticed how Davor changed the question is: for the better or worse? I don't even know. Everyone can sense, that things around them are different now, and they aren't as close as before. Will it change?

🕊️ Alek Corvin: …To say that Alek wasn't a fan of Davor would be an understatement. Was it because James spent most of his time focusing only on Davor trying to get him out of trouble? Did Alek observe any possessiveness from Davor towards James? Or maybe simply because of the bond between those two, which was truly something that others would envy and desire? Davor never considered it, especially when he left Fernweh permanently. :)) As you can imagine, Alek doesn't seem very happy about Davor's return… But he took an interest in his new friend, Becca, which did not go unnoticed by Davor and he isn't really happy about it.

🕊️ The Waitress: Oh boy, it seems that Davor has taken up a new hobby, which is glaring harshly at the waitress. He finds her mistrustful and he smells trouble. Had they met when he was younger, there may have been a slim chance of them getting along.

🕊️ Waffles!: So um… Davor has a little issue with dogs and because of that his relationship with Waffles isn't as wonderful as I wish it would be... However, I believe that with time and help from Becca, they will eventually become friends.

#actually about his scar i have this whole headcanon... featuring some...umm.. doggos and Becca... 👀 especially how they met #(Davor was always team cats but after that incident even more xD) #also ouch that naming scene it hurt me so much! but i get it ;; aaaa! Davor why are you being so problematic Waffles is wonderful!!! #it was really interesting for me to messing with Davor in nightmares and showing him Reese!! the feelings the emotions aaaa #also yeeaah Davor thought several times if it would be a good idea to come back to Re-- *cough* Fernweh... and then Becca happened... #generally speaking Davor has a keen interest in Slavic mythologies and culture particularly those from western and southern regions of- #-Europe. I imagine that his father has roots in these regions and he took great pride in his heritage. Often taking about it to Davor #...and since Sofia's a smart girl she lent Davor a fantasy book written by Slavic author who took a great inspiration from Slavic myths👼😊 #yes it was enough to change Davor's mind about fantasy books XD he never really read one before he just assumed it's BORING! #and now I'm sure he will throw questions at Sofia about this book she found even more since he's staying at Fernweh... I can imagine how- #-they both are staying up late studying it and comparing their notes... it would remind Davor about the time they were kids- #-it seems that his Gramps gave them both the last puzzle to solve... will they succeed? #and ooohh that will be a hard time for James and Davor... that rejection at the end of book one wont help them im sure XD #about Davor's 'possesivenes' over James... Davor was needy that's true but he would never think about 'stealing' James from Alek or- #-'claiming' James belongs to him. I hope im not crossing a line here but in my headcanon Alek was TOTALLY jealous over their friendship #and Alek THOUGHT that Davor was receiving more attention from James 👀 #//which obv isn't true because James would never allow it. Alek is always a number one in James' heart// #in mine too I love A!!!! 💖 they're a BABY #but i must say that Davor didn't really think about Alek's feelings back then. he wasn't aware how Alek could feel- that's not an excuse #super curious about book two and how his relationships with every single one of them will develop!!! #fernweh saga #oc: davor kovac #no i totally did NOT change his surname..

Are those musical shenanigans?! - Fernweh Saga Edition!

In my last musical shenanigans post I mentioned that I'd be taking a break from making music but ✨inspiration✨ decided otherwise so here we are, I'm a mess but y'all are probably used to it by now 😌

Hey, hello and welcome to another post of music equipped with ramblings, if y'all wanna check out previous musical shenanigans posts, then here you go :3

If you don't know what Fernweh Saga then I honestly don't know what to tell you, I'm disappointed 😔 (/j), GO CHECK IT OUT (with my usual aggressive politeness :3)

Anyway, without any further ado, here you go:

Becca/Beckett Warrick:

Well for B, I'm in standard tuning (that doesn't happen a lot), and I'm playing a (D7, Fmaj7, Bm7, E7) progression, and they way I came up with this is thinking about B's pessimistic viewpoint so my choice of chords wasn't on the cheerful (usually major) side but also their care for the mc so I didn't use darker and more sader chords, It's somewhere in between this and that, here it is:

Sofia/Silas Dorran:

For S, I'm still in standard tuning did something that I thought was ✨very smart✨ but at the sametime very chaotic, so to highlight the fact that "once they decide to be invested, actions that defy logic and reason will be considered to protect the ones they care for", and what I did is basically pressed record and played the chords that came to mind because when I make these posts my usual logic is to plan the melodies, but this time I made sure that wasn't the case, and here it is:

Ruby/Reese Verner:

For R's recording, I played with capo on second or third fret, and the progression is (D - Dsus2 - D - Dsus4) and I used these chords which are on the more cheerful side to highlight R's playfulness but also made sure to try and follow the same strumming melody as much as I could to highlight R's calculating side, and yeah here it is:

Jane/James Corvin:

Serious, all work and no play? You best bet I got that covered, with capo on third fret, I'm playing a melody that goes up and down the fretboard, with a chord that looks like an (Am) but the D string open, and the melody is a bit on the gloomier side, highlighting J's serious personality but it's still a warm melody to show J's care for the mc, here it is:

19. which MC are you most similar to, personality-wise?

Probably the HIFL MC, we’re both pretty awkward and nerdy, though im a bit more antisocial and kinda blunt which comes off as rude

20. list your favorite route from each story you've played:

WLL: Cecelia, RP: Amara, SWM: Onyx, SE: Runa, HIFL: Vanessa (but only the first few seasons), L&L: Helena, SP: does Jessa count im saying she does, Astoria: Medusa, QOT: Vivienne, Gangsters: Aurora, Castaway: Serena, TL&P: Madison (i was interested but man that art and MC; bad), Speakeasy: Sofia (but this prob doesnt count cuz i forgot her name)

Probably shouldnt have put the single female route stories but meh

21. favorite season of your favorite LI's route?

Probably season 7 of Helena, all the seasons kinda blend for me for every story and my memory is so bad

22. favorite CG from any story?

Im putting 3 because I cant chose between them, i like them all because of the composition and how it really shows the character’s strengths, whether it is magic, strength, or intelligence

23. a character you loved at first but started to dislike.

Vanessa, I loved her personality at first but as the seasons went on I just really started to get annoyed with her decisions and everything in general

24. a character you disliked at first but started to love.

Alain, I hated him at first, he was just a weird simp for the witch queen that would have been a good guy but simped too hard.  Then i read Helena’s route and really got to know him and his image drastically changed from simp to an extremely misguided man whose loyalty and trust lead to his downfall due to the witch queen manipulating his love for her and his loyal nature.  HE DESERVED BETTER IN EVERY ROUTE!!!

25. favorite ship including MC?

Helena x MC, they have such a wonderful dynamic, just their journy of healing and love defeating evil both symbolic and literal is just *chef’s kiss* a masterpiece, that was ruined by that god awful ending 

26. do you have any ships excluding MC?

Ruelle x Piama, I really enjoy their kinda lovingly antagonistic relationship and the whole opposites attract thing they have going on (even with the spring and fall aspect)

Kinda Vinca x Yvette, they just love each other so much and it shows everytime they are together especially in Onyx and Yvette’s route (its only kinda cuz i want them both to myself especially vinca)

27. favorite villain/antagonist?

Does Helena count?? No? Ysabella is definitely a top contender, I really like villains that are super powerful but also super charming, like she could have easily just killed Cecelia and the Ward but didn’t and tried to negotiate (albeit it was terrible for everyone but her)

28. which route are you most eager for updates each week (or whenever)?

Onyx, her route is just so interesting and the dynamic between her and all the troupe and the MC is just amazing, I also cant wait to see what happened more with Dorran, especially now that everyone knows he was a scumbag

29. which LI do you wish had more seasons in their route?

Honestly none that I read, but the people who had their favorite routes ended abruptly deserve more for at least a proper ending

30. do you buy hearts/tickets? If so, how often?

Occasionally, I try not to but if I dont have enough I’ll buy some to support the routes I love (though i should be careful as i dont have a job)
