“The show was amazing tonight!” Minna beamed, clapping her hands as the boys walked backstage.

She’d spent their whole set peering out from behind the curtain, watching them. She understood why girls in the audience went crazy, every time her boyfriend opened his mouth, and unleashed a scream.

“Thanks, hun,” Niko grinned, running over to give her a hug.

“Ew, you’re sweaty,” Minna laughed, twisting out of his grip.

“Well, that’s what happens when you jump around onstage for an hour!” Niko chuckled.

“Did we look cool out there?” Joonas grinned, setting his guitar down and grabbing a glass of water.

“Hell yeah you did,” Minna nodded.

“What was your favorite song we did tonight?” Niko asked, wiping his face with a towel.

“Sharks Love Blood,” Minna said immediately.

“Really?” Joonas blinked. “It doesn’t make you jealous?”

“Why?” Minna asked. “Because he wrote it about the girl he dated before me?”

“No,” Niko shook his head. “Because I kissed Joonas!”

“Oh,” Minna giggled. “Actually…I kind of liked watching you two.”

“Really?” Joonas raised an eyebrow.

“Well, guys like watching lesbian porn, right?” Minna pointed out.

“Well…,” Niko stammered, reddening. “I mean…”

“It’s okay, you can admit it,” Minna snickered. “My point is: girls like watching two guys go at it, too.”

“We’re planning to do the kiss every night on this tour,” Joonas confessed.

“Okay, that makes me a little jealous,” Minna admitted. “Because, I was only able to join you guys tonight - the first night of the tour. After this, I have to go back to Helsinki, and work every day. I won’t see Niko for a whole month. So, I won’t get any kisses from him at all.”

“I’ll miss kissing you, hun,” Niko frowned. “I’ll miss seeing you every day, in general.”

“I guess it’s not fair, that I get to kiss him every day and you don’t,” Joonas sighed. “Well…if thinking about your boyfriend kissing someone else hurts….why don’t you take revenge?”

“Revenge?” Minna blinked.

“Yeah,” Joonas grinned. “Why don’t you make him watch you kiss someone else, too?”

“Dude, what?” Niko sputtered, choking on his water. “Are you telling her that she should cheat on me, while I’m away on tour??”

“No,” Joonas said quickly.

“Then what did you mean?” Minna blinked.

“I mean…c’mere,” Joonas giggled. He grabbed Minna, and planted his lips on her mouth. They were softer than Niko’s.

“JOONAS!” Niko bellowed, as the guitarist pulled away.

“There,” Joonas giggled. “Now you two are even. You both kissed someone else.”

“No, you kissed her,” Niko pouted.

“Yeah,” Joonas winked, “but she kissed me back.”

“Can we do this tomorrow?” he asks, bringing his hand to squeeze the bridge of his nose. He’s getting a headache.

“No, we’re doing this now. Tell me what’s up.” she says, pulling at the covers when he tries to cover himself and turn away again. 

“Jesus, Taylor, let it go. I’m fine. And it’s none of your business.” he snaps, pulling at the duvet a little harder.

“Fine.” he hears rustling, then the bed shifting. She got up. The light on her nightstand is still on. “I thought since we’re together, and live together, we’re pretty serious, and now you’re weird around me, and you don’t even touch me, so I thought it was my business, but clearly I was wrong.” she talks as she walks up to his- their closet and starts getting dressed. Now Buck looks at her, leaning up on his elbows.

“What are you doing?” he asks with a sigh, watching as she takes off her nightshirt and starts putting on jeans. “Where are you going?”

“None of your business.” she replies, her tone feeling like a slap in the face. Buck deserves the real thing, actually.

yk, while chinese is a nightmare to learn (for me at least) they're also such an interesting language... "来, 小姐!" hits a lot different than "miss, your order's ready!" but i can't really explain why hahahah

TWO of them? im in. #The pacing is a bit weird - the first half could honestly be a contained novella. the second half is a bit all over the place #But I’m ultimately glad to have that extra more complex part of the story #it’s like very action packed with a few dense moments especially like the infodumps about what Lina / her mother’s deal is. #which kinda makes sense on a technical level (Moku learning this all at once) but also I definitely felt a bit confused at why/how some of #the stuff that was going on was happening #I did also find every now and then weirdly worded prose took me out of it? but I can look past that #I felt the side romance was random and weird. I felt like it did a disservice to her otherwise complex character to have her just forget #her goals and values because Hot Man? #idk. it’s lampshaded a bit by being viewed through the POV who also thinks it is weird and makes no sense #but they still get together again in the end…. I would have preferred if they didn’t. #that's mostly complaints LOL but the world is so rich and interesting and i love robots that are little shits (affectionate) #queer books

mom and i saw the new godzilla movie, and i don't think i've been in a movie theater since Before Covid. anyway they made godzilla terrifying (but in a way that made me wish i could draw him because MAN are giant monsters friggin cool) and everytime he roared, i could feel it in my seat. also the music was great (lots of dread and hopelessness, made godzilla himself out to be less of a monster and more a horrible, unstoppable force of nature) and i loved all the characters (the captain and noda especially). it was a friday night well spent!

I saw some of your tags on your recent reblogs, and it made me wonder what you tink of the recent outcry against "AI art" tools? With your tags, it sounds like you'd have different thoughts compared to what digital artists posting about it right now, and it got me kind of curious. No pressure to answer publically if you think you'll get flak for it - I'm just curious to hear your perspective because of those pieces you resurfaced.

I typed out a bit long thing about my own thoughts, but then realised that dumping that in your inbox would be a little unhinged. TL;DR - I'm neither here nor there. Selling the results is wrong, at present at least, but the tools themselves... ehhh? are they really??

That's the jist of it. If you'd like me to, I can elaborate with some of the play in 5 acts that I edited out. For context, I do art but I don't want to pursue a career in art in the current digital age, and I've worked on """AI""" (text to speech vocalisation) in the past but I'm not a staunch defender or anything, I just know some stuff about what "AI" is.

the outcry against ai art is because people are worried it'll take the place of actual artists and more recently because there have been a lot of artists whos art has been used in these ai programs databases without their permission or against their will (I think there's even a few instances where they used art from dead artists.) And I definitely agree with the outcry against that. I don't think ai generated art can meaningfully replace actual human art because art isn't just about creating images, ai cant replicate the self expression and communication and, well, humanity of human art, but I do think in the future it may take some jobs away from artists if an employer/company can get the same thing they want for free or cheap from an AI as they could with a human artist. there is also a real concern that ai images (not art this time but photographs) will become convincing enough in the future that it can lead to misinformation being created and spread incredibly easily.

I use Artbreeder mostly and sometimes Wombo and I use it to generate photos rather than art, I like using the shittier programs bc the stuff they generate is very uncanny which works great for horror art lol. I also don't just post the thing I generate on artbreeder, all my ai posts are heavily edited and I'm basically doing photomanipulation and collage somewhat, they genuinely take a lot of work and time. Ive been inspired by uncanny ai images for my own horror art for a good while (back when that "this image is meant to simulate a stroke" post/hoax was going around, which is how I learned about artbreeder, then called ganbreeder) before I started seeing ai "art" become a thing or neuralblender get popular. Im rly into the idea of horror that comes from something that looks familiar but not quite right and you cant quite figure out what you're looking at. I think you can see the ai influence in some of these,

I think ai is a great tool for artists that should be explored, and I personally haven't seen people object to that use of it, there's artists that use it to visualize their ideas before making the art themselves or use it to help come up with ideas for their art. but i don't think just generating an image and posting that is really art, there has to be some element of transformation from you.
