Shigaraki started smoking at 16. How he got his hands on it is a question neither AFO or Kurogiri could answer tbh. All they know is one night they smelt a WRETCHED shunky odor coming from his room and the sounds of coughing

When he first started he was actually bad at inhaling, a lot. He'd cough so hard and sometimes to the point that he'd straight up puke. And then he'd go take another hit with the puke still sitting on the floor

Shigaraki's appetite varies when stoned but usually he gets munchies for junk food or bland food like wheat thins lmao

He gets sleepy when he's high and the only thing keeping him awake are his games and his babygirl

Sad Story: AFO loves feeding into Shiggy's anger right? So one day he took his weed when he wasn't there and Tomura came back fucking MAD. He kicked a dent in the wall because he couldn't find his weed. Somehow it was some test of willpower from AFO. He got his weed back tho cuz it got conveniently placed back in it's proper spot a day later and Tomura thought he was going crazy

He's so funny when he's stoned because Tomura can either be pretty chill or clearly zoinked. When he's high af you can tell cuz his eyes are red af and he shakes a bit. He also doesn't make sense when he talks and will start talking about shit that's completely off topic

Hornyyy. Gets horny when he's stoned but sometimes he's too couchlocked to touch himself

Loves pens so much

He's more of an indica girlie because it helps him with his rage. He'll smoke anything tho

You best believe the League has smoke sessions

Goes through periods where he'll be high all the time and then other times he'll be sober or on another substance for a bit. Usually, he swings around his substance use with his manic episodes (I do headcanon Tomura as bipolar and you can't stop me)

Has tried smoking resin

If you can get him to laugh when he's stoned he won't stop for a while

All you'll hear for the next 2 minutes is a nasty uncontrolled cackle

I don't have POTS so I've done research and using the NHS website to help lol

The team are interviewing a teenager who witnessed the unsub kidnapping his next victim who the BAU were chasing, the teen has a pots episode.

Third person pov...

It had been a sunny day, in Louisiana

Y/N L/N was on their way home from a day out with friends, as they walked they routinely took breaks as to not have a POTS episode.

On one break they stood under a shaded area drinking some water, as they did they spotted a man dragging a young girl a couple years younger than they were, they watched as the girl struggled in the man's grip.

She and Y/N made eye contact, the desperation in her eyes made Y/N realise she was being kidnapped, they watched as the man forced the young girl into a white van, they stayed hidden.

After that happened they called the police.

Hours later the FBI show up at Y/Ns house, after reassuring their parents the teen was taken in for questioning about what they saw and if they could help them.

The interrogation room was warm, far to warm for Y/Ns liking, they of course knew it was hot outside but inside was unbearable.

Also they forgot to ask for some water, because of their condition the teen had to keep themselves from becoming to hot and to drink enough fluids otherwise they would faint.

As they sit in the room waiting for the agents to come in they begin taking off their button up shirt they had worn over the top of their tank top.

Soon two agents entered the room where Y/N was waiting, they could see the fear and anxiety in the teen eyes. Their hands were shaking and was fidgeting in their chair.

Morgan and Rossi took the lead in the interview, while the rest of the team observed from the other side of the two-way mirror.

"Now Y/N can you tell us what you saw?' Rossi asked gently, trying to make the teenager feel comfortable.

Y/N took a deep breath and began to recount their experience. They had been walking home from hanging out with friends, when he saw the unsub forcing a young girl into his van.

The H/C teen had immediately called the police but stayed hidden, watching the whole ordeal unfold. They manages to describe the unsub in great detail, from the way he looked to the van and the girl he took.

The team was impressed by the teens bravery and their attention to detail. But suddenly, their eyes screwed up in pain and began grabbing their chest.

Fanning themselves pulling the tank top away from their heated skin. The team were shocked not knowing what was happening to the teen.

Rossi and Derek were quick to the teens side. "Episode" mutters the teen slouching forward, this made Derek leap to catch the teen.

"Whoa there" he catches the teen, gently tapping their face to keep them awake. "Water they need fluid" Yelled Spencer, he had recognise the symptoms of POTS when the teen started fanning themselves during their explanation.

"And call and ambulance!" JJ nods her head as she begins calling for an ambulance.

Hotch then runs off for a bottle of water, as he came back he thew it to Rossi who grabbed it and began opening it for Y/N, he then knelt doen next to the teen.

" Ragazzino (kiddo), come on I need you to drink this for me" he coaxed the teen gently as Derek lifted their head to be able to drink the offered drink.

Y/N begins drinking the water, which helped, they needed lots of fluids during an episode. Spencer then walks into the room. "Ambulance is 5 minutes out, I've read up of POTS we should help them stand up and walk around slowly" explains the Genius.

Derek and Rossi look at each other before nodding. "Okay let's get them up" "on 3. 1..2..3.." together they help Y/N stand up.

Holding them up they trio begin walking slowly around the room to get Y/N moving to help the teens flare up, as they did this the ambulance finally arrived.

Y/N was then taken to hospital, Hotch called their Mum to meet them there, the team all pile into the two black SUVs, all wanting to make sure the teen was okay.

The next day, Y/N is back at the police station, their episode wasn't dangerous one, they had probably overexertered themselves yesterday after watching the kidnapping.

As they walk around they find the FBI agents that took so much care of them, their Mother had insisted on bringing them all home made cookies to thank them.

The teen knocked on the door to the conference room the team was using, everyone was there, Rossi and Derek were surprised to see the teen up and looking healthy again.

"Hey everyone" they wave to the team, the teen walked in holding out the box of cookies. "Thank you for helping me yesterday, Mum made cookies as thanks" they explained opening the box.

The team were shocked, they all reached into the box and grabbed a cookie each, Y/N watched as their faces all lit up at the taste. "Thank you and thank you to your Mother for the cookies" Hotch tells the teen.

Y/N gives them a huge smile. "Also I'm here to help you more, I remembered a few more things, when I have an episode I get brain fog and forgot a few pieces of information" they explained, soon the teen was sat at the table with the team.

The ac on high with a bottle of cold water infront of them. Y/N began telling the agents what they remembered, thanks to their memory they were able to catch the Unsub before he could grab another Victim.

The end!

Jschlatt || When He’s Sick (HC)

▷ I bet sick Schlatt grumbles and complains about his symptoms, repeatedly emphasizing how sick he feels.

▷ Making dramatic remarks such as, “I’ve never been so sick.” , “I’m dying.” , or “this is it y/n… this is the end.” Before staging a dramatic coughing fit.

"Y/N," a voice calls out, whining for your presence.

"Yes?" You ask, peeping your head through the slightly open door.

There, you find Schlatt curled up in your shared bed, tissues overflowing on the bedside table, and blankets piled on top of him.

“I need to clean the kitchen up. It’s a mess from this weekend -“

Before you can react, he cuts you off.

"I'll help you clean it later. Please, just come and lay with me. I want you." He pouts, pulling his best 'puppy dog eyes.'

"Oh, alright," you playfully grumble, making your way towards him.

He grins, opening his arms out toward you.

"If you're the sick one, shouldn't I be the big spoon?" you teasingly remark.

"Huh, I guess that makes sense," he agrees, face planting onto your chest while his arms snake around your torso.

"You're such a nerd," you chuckle, running a hand through his messy hair.

"I'll only let you get away with that because I love you and I'm too sick to do anything," he says, his voice mumbled as he rests on your chest.

▷ He definitely keeps himself wrapped in a blanket. Whether he’s laying down or walking through the house, he’s got a blanket wrapped around his shoulders.

▷ I can imagine him being quite needy while sick.

▷ He follows you around the house like a lost puppy. Even after you’ve told him to go to bed a hundred times.

You sat at the kitchen counter typing away on your computer. You had an important project deadline coming up. After days of brainstorming a thesis you had found the perfect one. The words seemingly poured out of your mind and right onto the screen

Suddenly you felt pressure on your shoulder followed by two blanket covered arms wrapping around you.

“J what are you doing up? I told you go back to bed.”

“I know, I just want you. I’m so lonely.” He dramatically sighs.

“You have the cats.”

“They’re not as good at cuddling as you are.”

“Oh alright.” You sigh, pushing yourself away from the desk.

You were suddenly lifted off the ground, wrapped up in schlatts blanket as he carried you to your shared bedroom.

“What are you doing?! You’re sick.”

He didn’t respond. He gently laid you down against the pillows before crawling onto the bed himself, laying his head on your stomach as the rest of his body lay in-between your legs.

“There we go. That’s much better.” He contently sighs, wrapping his arms around your lower back.

“Such a weirdo.” You playfully scoff as you run your hands through his hair.

▷ The two of you have an evening ‘sick day’ ritual/tradition whenever one of you falls ill. You order in some soup (or what ever he’ll eat because he’s so picky)

▷ He tends to be wide awake at odd hours due to discomfort. This leads to late-night conversations with you… Well more like him asking you stupid questions.

- The mask stayed on for a while but when he felt comfortable he took it off. You were shocked he let you see his face. But he feels safe with you

- You sit on his lap while you apply the paint gently around his eyes. Playfully, he might get some paint and smudge your cheek while you giggle

- When he does make love to you? It’s the best thing ever.

- Just hearing his hyperventilating while he’s asleep is sad. You gently shake him awake and whisper his name as to not make it worse. Or just talking to him softly while he’s having a nightmare to stir him back to sleep peacefully

“Shh Simon, it’s alright honey…open your eyes for me”

- When he does wake up he looks for your face immediately and hugs you so tight. You coax him back to bed and you keep him close until he falls asleep again

- He has a polaroid picture of you smiling and takes it with him when he’s out of the country

- And god bless his soul because when Soap finds it he will not shut the hell up with questions about you

“That your lass Ghost?”

“Walk away mate…walk the fuck away and out of my face”

- Soap’s probably gonna tell the rest of 141 and ask who you are and if they know you

- Gaz wonders too but keeps it to himself. Price will tell Soap to mind his own business

-Johnny better sleep with one eye open now

- He brings you back some souvenirs. Like a ring, necklace or bracelet. Anything you might be interested in

- When he comes back exhausted during the night you have his food ready and he quickly takes a shower before heading to bed.

- he probably flops onto the bed in his black boxers and you’re at the door smiling at him. You just kiss his cheek and whisper goodnight and you get into bed with him or go into the living room to do something else to pass time

- I don’t think you go out for dates much. You just stay home spending time together or you do go out sometimes but for walking around in parks or going to the store maybe

- Overall you relationship isn’t SO normal. But it’s something alright <3

the day they finally asked you out (after planning it on detail) it was though a video call you both had before going to sleep.

Movies/Series to watch with the Obey me! Boys on date nights

Lucifer:

Probably a comedy, he needs a good laugh and to relax after a long day. I suggest Brooklyn Nine Nine for a series (Jake reminds him of a certain white haired scumbag) or, for a movie, Rango (the comedic genius of Johnny Depp and the fact that a lizard is doing all this because he got lost)

Mammon:

A romance or a action comedy. I feel like he'd enjoy Glass Onion: a knives out mystery (especially the end scenes) or Red Notice (he'd enjoy the story and the action and the comedic moments)

Levi:

Hard to imagine what he'd like, I'm 100% sure he'd like way of the househusband tho. Maybe he'd get into marvel and binge all of those movies (I feel like he'd like Tony a lot and maybe Peter Quill too?)

Satan:

I don't know why but I definitely see him liking baking impossible (the combo of engineering and baking? He'd want to see everything) or liking iZombie (zombie solves people's deaths by gaining their memories from eating their brains? Cool!) I see him watching Love and Monsters and snuggling you, thinking about what he'd do if that happened

Asmo:

Definitely watching next in fashion together or glow up. I feel like he'd watch horror movies just to hold you close but if it's a psychological horror then you're the one holding him. I see him watching the school for good and evil as well. I do think he'd enjoy Shadowhunters as well, Magnus would be his favorite.

Beel:

He would watch anything with you honestly. I do see him really enjoying the Johnny English movies and watching them with you and Belphie. A nice comedy is good but let's add some variety to it. A good romcom, maybe an action comedy or a horror comedy. No tearjerker movies though, he'd get so upset if the love interests don't get together or one dies.

Belphie: (the inaccuracies part in this only applies to the devildom and the game not actual inaccuracies in the movie and/or actual religion)

If you do get him to stay awake for a movie or even an episode, he would be the worst movie buddy (always talking, guessing what happens next and spoiling it if he's already seen it) but he'd love mystery stuff, they keep him on edge and he can't fall asleep until he knows what happens. He'd love Glass Onion as well and enjoy Constantine a lot (the inaccuracies in it slightly ticks him off because hello? Mammon is not Lucifer's son?? What???)

Random HCs abt command but specifically Hassen and Nikola

Note: “Command” just sort of refers to the people who hand out missions. So Celica, Asimov, Nikola and Hassen

Okay okay so Nikola very obviously Slavic coded, I think Russian bc he’s immune to the cold lol like in Luna’s interlude he’s watching Lucia train in the snow in nothing but a SUIT. That out of the way

A friend suggested that Hassen is Pakistani American and honestly? I can get behind that. I do think he’s only half tho bc this guy is a white man 💀 I’m sorry but being raised in an orphanage did not help him.

Nobody in command can cook. Absolutely nobody. Except for Celica. Bc that girl can do everything

I also think that Celica can speak like five different languages. She’s just built like that

I think it’d be funny if Celica is trying to explain something and she just blanks and forgets how to explain it in all five languages.

Nikola gains an accent when he’s really angry. It’s like a scale the angrier he gets the more Russian he gets. (idk but personally I gain a weird Filipino accent when I’m frustrated does this happen to anyone else?) If anyone hears him yelling in Russian they better hide because Nikola does not yell

Oh yeah and on that, I don’t think Nikola yells. Yes he’s very menacing and scary and you know when he’s mad, but he never yells. And it’s because he has a nice, tight lid and control over his emotions. Basically you REALLY have to screw up in order for him to yell at you.

Hassen is scary for a different reason and that is that he’s super patient. When he’s mad he’s twice as a scary because once again, you have to really fuck up. He can tolerate A LOT but the scariest thing in the world is an angry Hassen because it’s probably very justifiable

I think this is somewhat in part to him actually being rather cunning. I think he can be quite manipulative as well and that’s where he gets the patience from

Asimov canonically having an attitude is kinda funny to me. Everyone else is stepping on eggshells around the president and commander but Asimov’s unhinged ass is out here like “Uh yeah, so here’s the thing; you’re fucking wrong”

I think the little nerd is feisty and he’s a a little smug about it because he knows that he’s usually right

I genuinely think Hassen and Nikola are friends. You can pry this from my cold dead hands but they’ve known each other forever and they are both the leaders of the Kurono hate club. They trust each other so much I just know it

Nikola has siblings and they’re all high ranking Kurono members

Nikola strikes me as a rich boy that was funnelled into politics and shady business by his parents. Idk he gives that vibe

Asimov has a sweet tooth. Maybe because it helps him stay awake idk.

Hassen keeps alcohol in his office. It’s not even like a nice wine or anything it’s just cheap beer

Asimov has a dark sense of humour. I just feel like he cracks some very out of pocket jokes sometimes

I know Hassen is good with kids it is written all over him

I like to think that surprisingly, Asimov is too. Hey, kids LOVE cool science he would be a neat baby sitter and they’d make one of those little baking sofa volcanoes or smth

Celica is not. She has no idea how to deal with the little suckers but they all like her anyways bc funny lady say funny words

I’m sorry but Nikola is last place here I don’t think he can deal with kids at all 💀 I feel like it could mostly be rooted in his guilt from helping Kurono get actual children to experiment on. Yeah he just cannot with children. He doesn’t hate them though

thirteen hours and twenty-six minutes.

that’s how long you’ve gone without hearing the familiar ding! of a message from akito. it’s almost half past nine now, you note, double-checking the small alarm clock on the side table by your bed. it's been more than half a day since you’ve talked to the redheaded idiot you call a boyfriend, and you can't help but be pissed (and worried sick, but you're too angry to think about that right now. he doesn't deserve my worry, you think).

it all started late yesterday, when he was supposed to come over to your place after his afternoon dance practice – the two of you had made plans to visit a cute new bakery opening on main street. needless to say, he completely ignored your texts and calls, replying hours later with a simple “sorry, i forgot. catch up with you later.” being human, you replied with a series of passive-aggressive texts, inevitably leading to an explosive argument. you sat on the couch for what felt like hours after, kicking around the stupid cow plushie he won you at a summer fair now on the ground. how hard is it to call ahead? or keep a stupid promise?

and so, here you are, listening to music in bed and staring emptily at the ceiling. a single thought floats around in your head: what the hell’s up with akito? he’s never been the type to be dry, not even on the numerous times when he's been frustrated out of his mind with schoolwork, or fed up with family politics and his dad. the night goes by slowly, and after far too much moping, you huff and sit up against the headboard. pausing your music, you open the messages app to (wishfully) check for a text from akito, only to be met with the same “hey aki, call me when you're free” you sent hours ago. sighing, you text the one person you think would know where he is: ena.

unfaithful to your words, you do not get some rest. instead, you spend far more time than you should mindlessly scrolling through anything and everything you can find on your phone to distract yourself from your thoughts, somehow ending up playing through a particularly spicy story on episode at two am. looking up from the dim screen, you sigh. ena’s right - no man’s worth losing sleep over. tapping furiously through the rest of the episode, you toss your phone under the pillow next to you and shut your eyes, trying to sleep.

although you managed to get a good six hours of sleep, you find your eyes shooting awake at 8:37 am. although it's the weekend, a sunday, you've become accustomed to waking up at the ass-crack of dawn to get ready. sitting up and stretching, you quietly pad down to the bathroom to fix yourself, being rid of last night's woes.

after a small breakfast of cereal and orange juice, you make a list of everything you plan to do today; an, a member of akito’s dance group and one of your closest friends, proposed you, ena, and kohane go out for lunch at one of the numerous cafes on main street. going outside definitely sounds better than sitting at home and sulking, so you set off to the cafe an send the address to at noon.

a little bell chimes as you open the door, instantly hit by the sweet aroma of various pastries on display. you see everything, from blueberry muffins to finely decorated cakes; your wallet feels lighter at the sight of them. making your way over to a table in the secluded corner where an waves at you, signature smile plastered on your face, you sit down on the booth. next to you sits ena, and across, an and kohane.

“hey, y/n, good to see you!” says ena, followed by a small wave from kohane.

“hello hello! i haven't seen you in a while, kohane, how’s everything going?” you ask, setting your bag down next to you.

“sorry,” she replies sheepishly, “we've been so busy with practice and school, i barely get the energy to catch up!”

“aw,” you frown, once again thinking about akito, “don't tire yourself out too much.”

“ah, it's only for a little bit! once we finish nail last routine, we’ll be done with practice and ready to perform!” an laughs; kohane only sighs.

“yeah, but it's so hard…toya and akito have been cooped up at the studio for ages, now. if it’s hard for them, imagine how hard it is for me!”

“hey, don't sell yourself short, kohane! i’ve seen the way you dance, you make it look so easy!” says ena, taking a sip of the her coffee. you nod in agreement.

“trust me, whatever you're doing is working! aki’s tried teaching me some moves – let's just say it didn't end well.” the four of you chatter away giddily until a waiter brings over a fancy rack of desserts to sample, courtesy of an. there are a humble few slices of cake, and far too many small treats you don't know the name of.

“wow, an, you sure have a keen eye for desserts!” says ena, happily finishing her coffee with a cat-shaped cookie.

“of course i do, i haven't been working at a cafe for nothing!”

“oh, you!”

a little while after you all finish, you say your goodbyes to an and kohane, leaving you an ena at scramble crossing.

“so…do you wanna walk around, or go back home? i have some time to kill.” she asks, the two of you crossing the road as the cars come to a halt.

“i’m fine with walking, i don't really have anything to do at home.” you shrug, checking your watch. it’s only 2:45 and the only thing waiting for you at home is a full washing machine, so you opt to wander around the city with ena.

somewhere around the local playground, the two of you have a heart-to-heart on the far-too-small swings.

“has everything been okay with you and akito?” she asks, leaning against the chain, “i feel like something’s up. you can talk to me about it if you want.” you sigh.

“well…kind of? i think he's been ignoring me and i’m really worried. i don't think i did anything to upset him, and he’s been really exhausted lately.”

“oh, yeah, he's been coming home later too. i don't blame him, really. i guess perfectionism is a family disease.”

“definitely,” you shake your head, “i'm not angry at him at all, but i feel…hurt.” she sits up alertly.

“why? did he say something?”

“no, no, that's the problem! he missed our date the other day, but he said sorry and we fought over text. i feel so bad, but i know i’m not being irrational, and he's ghosting me! we’ve fought before, but what if this is it?” ena mumbles under her breath, something about a “stupid kid”.

“you both really are perfect for each other, you know that?” you tilt your head in confusion.

“how so?”

“you're both so hard-headed,” she laughs, “and stupid, sometimes. although that's more him than you.”

“i guess so.”

“but seriously, let me talk to him at home. maybe then he’ll get the balls to apologize and it’ll all be okay again.”

“you don't need to get tangled up in this mess, ena, don't worry-”

“oh, shut up! no man is worth lowering your standards for, that applies to him, too! maybe it’ll do you both some good, too.”

“you're the best, really.” you say, squeezing her hand.

“oh, i know.” ena flounces; you laugh, getting off the swing and brushing the sand off your lap. the walk to your house is short, or so you assure ena, but she walks back with you anyways.

“don't worry about akito, okay? i’ll handle him.” she says, walking down the steps to your house. you nod, waving at her as she leaves. deep down, the two of you know that won't be happening – worrying about akito is a part of the package, so you’ve come to realize.

you decide to spend the rest of the day lazing around on the couch, snacking on popcorn as you binge chick flicks. as you subconsciously replay the events of the past two days in the back of your mind, the guilt settles in. you sit up, checking your phone for any messages and signs of life from akito, and flinching at the sudden brightness. looking around, the state of the living room is as pathetic as you feel. there are popcorn kernels where you tried (and failed) to throw them in the small trash can, pillows strewn all over the floor, blankets folded messily, each mess driving you crazier by the minute. pausing the movie, you sigh, getting up to clean whatever you see. although you still feel like garbage mentally, seeing the room decently clean makes you feel slightly better.

before you realize it, you're yawning and no longer paying attention to mean girls playing on the laptop in bed. sitting up and stretching, you set it on the nightstand, wrap yourself up in a blanket cocoon, and begin to fall asleep.

you're woken out of your peaceful slumber by the abrupt ring of the doorbell. rubbing your eyes, you pad to the front door, opening it to see none other than-

“aki? what are you doing here, it’s the middle of the night?” he’s drenched, clearly having walked here in the ongoing downpour behind him. how cliché. you let him in, helping him feel off his jacket and fetching him a towel.

“so, are we gonna talk about the elephant in the room?” you ask, sitting down next to him on the couch. he looks down at his feet.

“yeah, we probably should.”

“speak your peace, then, i’m listening.”

“well…i’m sorry i've been an ass,” akiro sighs, “everything’s been so overwhelming lately.”

“i’m sorry, too. i shouldn’t have been so passive-aggressive, it clearly only made things worse.” he shakes his head.

“no, i get it. i was in the wrong and i lashed out at you for no reason. i missed our date, too! i’ve been really shitty to you, you don't deserve any of that.”

“i understand why it happened, aki,” you say, giving him a small smile and grasping his hand in yours, “you can talk to me when things get rough, though, you know what.”

“i know, i know, and i'm sorry.”

“no use dwelling on the past now, i guess, yeah?”

akito nods, laying down on your lap; you play with his hair absentmindedly, listening to him mumble about his week. the weight on your chest is lifted just by the sight of him opening up to you again, and you feel much better.

“hey, aki, promise me something.”

“hm?”

“don't ghost me again, or i’ll kick your ass.”

Adora keeps coming back to check on her, and Catra feigns sleep every time. She doesn’t touch the water bottle even though her dry throat aches, because then Adora would know that she had been awake. But eventually, she slips into shallow dreams again — the green fluid, Prime’s smirk, the pain, his voice — and that’s when Adora happens to check in on her again. At the sound of the door Catra sits bolt upright, her heart pounding out of her chest and a terrified scream bursting from her mouth before she can choke it down. And just like that, her cover’s blown. And Adora’s looking at her with that same stupid, hopeful look, like Catra hasn’t spent years trying to burn her and everything she loved. And she can’t stand it.

So Catra does what she always does. She retreats behind her walls, lashes out, needles Adora where she knows it stings the most. It’s what she is. She’s an animal, nothing more than base instincts and rotten heart, just as everyone has always said she was. She’s poison, she’s fire, she’s broken glass, and all she knows how to do is hurt and be hurt in turn.

Apparently it was the combination of the previous episode and this one that made the first people to watch this season realize "oh we're going to get an actual catradora kiss. on screen. aren't we."

(I remember the day before Netflix dropped the episodes, with everyone I knew on social media basically doing a "will they or won't they." I'm Fandom Old and just kept reminding myself that if they didn't get a kiss or a love confession it was either for good story reasons (Catra was still doing bad shit at the end of s4!) or because the showrunners were forbidden from doing it. But man I was online intentionally spoiling myself as soon as I could. I HAD TO KNOW, but Daci and I watched it like a day later)

Okay so this is part of why I struggle to get how multiple years passed as the show goes on--why is Frosta still like. Eleven.

Glimmer is holding up a box that looks like the ancient sugar Madame Razz used to make pie. Which was also on this ship now that I think about it? That's. Thousand-year-old sugar.

halfway point only friends character rankings

(i am bad at rank so i tiered them, also i don't dislike any character this is more a scale of how many hours i lay awake thinking of them)

tier one: ray

ray: I think anyone looking at my only friends posts can immediately guess who my favourite character is and why. ray is THE character for me, i knew in the first episode before the title sequence that he'd make me extremely unwell (his "being known as a burden who is either professing his love for anyone who cares to listen or begging people not to leave him in his drunken desperation" captivated me ok) . besides relating to parts of his characters and story, i am thoroughly invested in this man and his emotions. like will he fall victim to the cycle he's already convinced he's doomed by? will he find a way out? will he continue living as self-fulfilling prophecy purely out of spite for himself and everyone around him? will he get better? can he get better? will he ever want to????????? i think i always had the potential like ray as a character but i also think the actor plays him in a way that has altered my brain forever (like i am not good at reading faces but the look on ray's face sometime feels like im looking into his thoughts, its thrilling) deciding to play ray as layered and complex and oosing with pain no matter the circumstance was a choice that made the character for me, and i also think it takes a lot of skill to have an asshole insult everyone close to him and ruin relationships he has no buissness ruining for most of his screentime and have the audience come away with "wow that guy is absoultey dripping in pain, i feel so much for him"

tier two: nick, boston, mew

nick: i love nick so much, maybe its my thing for pathetic little guys but something about him makes me scream throw shit whenever i see him. i'm obssessed with all the crime he commits, because he's such a cutie about it. like watching him get all sad listening to the topboston tape fully sympathizing with him and his little sad face to the point i forget he only has the tape cause he WIRETAPPED BOSTONS CAR. just excellant character, i hope his crimes being revealed leads to him looking more pathetic and then becoming 5x more evil but 10x more cute about it (i also am desperate to know what comes of him chasing after a man who has made it clear so many times he doesn't want him only for nick to fall harder like what is up with that)

boston: boston has always been a favourite character of mine because he may not be a good friend and he may not be a good person but one thing he will NEVER not be is entertaining. like if he is on screen your ass will be tuned IN, and for that reason i love him. what i want to see from boston in the rest of the series? i think he is an interesting case of how far is to far when it comes to friends doing you dirty, and im interested to see what the lasting impact to his relationships are and then the impact to how he views relationships in general. i think it'd be nice if there were consequences that made him reavaluate the way he treats other people, but i also find it absolutely necessary for him to retain his sluttiness. like it doesnt hurt anyone else, and i think he genuienly enjoys it, so i hope he keeps it along with his love for photogrphy (would love to see him get more into getting consent of people before he records them and spreads that around tho) stay messy my king 🫡

mew: mew was my designated little guy after watching the first episode but kinda got lost in all my love for sandray. i will say he shot back up towards the top after seeing this one post (i cannot find it now its lost under the thousands that have been posted since) about mew, control, and bdsm (and all the new meta that has come out since too tbh). also realizing around epsiode 4 we knew absoultey nothing about him as a person had me watching everything he did like there would be little clues left. i think its safe to say after episode 6 that the relationhip between sex and control will continue to be interesting as well as WHATEVER THE FUCK HAPPENS TO MAKE HIM ACT UP LIKE THAT IN THE BATHTUB anyway... i am here for his villain?? era

tier 3: top, sand, cheum

(again i tiered them cause im not good at straight ranking and this doesn't mean i like them any less its just they make me personally a little less insane then the others do)

top: i think he needs to be topped by mew and that it has the potential fix him, i've thought about this a lot (A LOT) and thats all i have to say.

sand: i am still kinda obsessed with him, like don't get me wrong. i like the way he mirrors the other characters while still maintaining traits that are specific to him. the fact that he has his heart broken by the belief that ray didn't truly care about him and only saw him as a distraction, distinced himself from ray, took insults and physical attacks from ray, and STILL chased after him because he knew ray was in an unsafe headspace speaks to how strong this guy is, cause you saw everyone else in that bar abondon ray to whatever self-destructive thing he decided to do next but not sand, never sand. anyway maybe its because i relate to ray so much that whenever i see sand on screen or think about him my mind gets overtaken by hearteyes (this is my way of saying i don't have many coherent thoughts about sand in my brain theres just 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰) anyway i can't wait to see how he develops, if we meet the sandtop mutual ex and what chaos that brings, and whatever the fuck happens with the sandray codependency dynamic and i am dying to know if he does indeed have something in his past related to driving under the influence and what it is about ray specifically that made mr "i can seperate love and sex" into the character we see now

cheum: my girl isn't in the show as often but whenever shes on screen with april i have to smile. anyway i wonder if we'll get an explaination as to why shes always presurring the rest of the friendgroup into monogamous relationships or if thats just who she is (i do think her lying to april about how she feels in order to keep them together at all costs was an interesting detail in all this, like is she scared of what it means to be single/alone, does she feel intense pressure to be in a certain type of relationship, etc)

Foxglove Lore, definitive edition:

Note: I use he/him pronouns for Sleep. If you don’t that cool, but the only time Vessel as every spoken about Sleep he used he/him for Sleep.

My main sleep token lore/thoughts is this:

‘My Lore’ is that it’s a conversation between Sleep and Vessel, the songs can switch pov, some songs are sleep songs, some songs are Vessel songs, some are both.

Vessel has powers. (Option one he is human born with them, option two is that he is a fallen god.)

(If we are going with the first, Vessel is just dealing with abandonment issues, from people all around him because of these powers. They see him as different, off putting, and they avoid him. If we are going with the second, then it’s all of that + being a god and remembering slowly as he grows older ‘hey I was a god and I fell?? And I’m remembering this??’ But then also what did Vessel fall for? Why do the other gods cast him aside? A human? Another god? I’m think atm it was a worshiper that he got too close with. Her death causing him to fall. (I also think that this, this ‘the other gods casting him aside’ thing can be symbolic of how it feels to go through a depressive episode or even just being neurodivergent, and how it feels like other people who care about you can ‘cast you aside’ by not listening or understanding what your feeling.) The gods are all busy, and his ‘god-mother’ (maybe someone who created him? A god who granted him god-hood the first time?) has turned her gaze because she can’t bear the sight of him human (again?). And so Sleep, an old as fuck, ‘small’ god steps up. A very ‘us against them’ moment.)

Sleep wants Vessel (at first) just for his powers, and he promises Vessel control over them (or a way back to god-hood) in exchange for his worship and being his Vessel. Vessel, desperate for control, agrees, and at first it seems like Sleep is keeping up with him, helping with these powers (or helping him find paths to god-hood).

Love in the songs = Control. Over Vessels powers, or over how he gets to Heaven to be with the other gods. But just. Control in some ways. And honestly, love can be very controlling, so maybe it does Also Mean Love.

Some Vessel songs are about Sleep, and some are about the ?follower? Who he fell for.

One of Sleep’s blessings is the ability to communicate with this person while Vessel is asleep. She doesn’t remember her past life, and so it’s only when Vessel is asleep can she remember with him/he is with the ‘old’ her. I think he did find her, and she’s different. (Idea has been floating around because of @/bluesey-182, and I have agreed with it for a looooong. But credit where it’s due!! (If you see this and want me to actually tag you just let me know!)).

One is all from Vessel’s pov. It’s the beginning, it’s right as Sleep finds him, and he’s completely lost, and thankful for Sleep’s intervention, but unsure of how things should go. He is bending over backwards for Sleep, and separates himself into two, awake he is Vessel, and asleep he is a god. In both he is letting go of everything to be loved. Awake he is waiting for Something to give, asleep he is in denial of it.

The two songs of Two are from Vessel’s pov. I think Nazareth is a Sleep song, and I think it’s the first one.

Jaws is from both POV. It’s an argument, it’s Sleep wanting Vessel to be his chosen one, and Vessel fighting it.

Sundowning is about Vessel’s realization that even tho Sleep is sort of keeping up his end of things, he’s not doing it in a productive way. It’s him realizing that Sleep likes Vessel as he is. (Sleep Songs: Dark Signs, Take Aim, parts of Give, Drag Me Under, parts of Blood Sport) it’s also Sleep realizing that while he does like Vessel as he is, he’s actually falling for Vessel. But by the time he realizes he need to hold up his end of the bargain, it’s too late.

TPWBYT is Vessel waking up after having attempted to take his own life, realizing that Sleep isn’t going to help him the way he wants, and now Sleep won’t let him die. It’s also Sleep trying to convince Vessel he really is on his side now, and trying to convince him to be his Vessel after the attempt. (Sleep songs: Mine, Fall For Me, Distractions, but he is present in Most Songs on this album.) I also think something that happens in this album is that Sleep shows Vessel the reincarnation of the person he fell for, who is now doing fine and happy. It’s a Moment for Vessel, to realize that his falling was more hurtful then good.

TMBTE is Vessel becoming a god again. Or, being put on the correct path to becoming a god again (or, being out on the path to control his powers). It’s letting go of the hurt that caused him to fall, and him realizing that god-hood (control) (healing) is more important than holding onto the hurt/abandonment/falling. He has Sleep in a better grasp, he knows where he needs to go, and there’s ups and downs on the journey. (Sleep Songs: there isn’t actually a lot of Sleep present in this album. I think it’s Vessel doing what he needs to do, worshipping and letting go. It’s why this album feels so different from the others. Sleep is present but only as a feeling, not as someone speaking. The only time he is really there is AYRO? And DYWTYLM. And even then it feels more like Vessel sharing from Sleep’s perspective then it Being From Sleep).

I think the main difference from this version, and my original theory is that in the og one, I thought Sleep was bad. I though

(before starting, just be aware that it's 5:30am, I didn't sleep at all and I have to stay awake at all costs now bc I'm going to work in some hours, so haha yeah..... Idk how I'll be able to handle it today, but anyways)

Being her first boyfriend

Tbh, I believe it was pretty clear for them by how Candy reacted with the whole "I don't know what to do, what do we do now?" conversation they had after the 1st kiss. And especially for Kentin, he'd known her for a long time so I'm pretty sure he knew she hadn't had a boyfriend before.

(But OFC they all have to be HONOURED to be her 1st boyfriend because our Candies are all royalty ✨ - and y'all reading this are too so don't expect less than royal treatment from your partners, especially if you hadn't had your 1st time. You're special and you should be treated like so!)

Being her first time

Well, for this one I guess it'd be a bit different because It's something definitely more intimate, so...

Armin: we all know he's very chill, and something I love about him is that no matter what he always tries to make the atmosphere lighter and that would be his main goal after knowing he's Candy's 1st time. Of course he wouldn't make it cracking silly jokes, he'd lightly play around with her just to show her in his own way that she's safe with him and that she has nothing to worry about.

Castiel: well Cas is also very chill, he wouldn't be very nervous himself about it because it wouldn't be his 1st time with someone. But I do think he would still be a bit nervous since he wanted their first time together to be as good as possible, and even more after he told Candy he and Debrah had already gone through this before. He knew Candy felt a bit insecure about this at the time, so the last thing he wanted was for her to feel less special than she really was.

Kentin: I'm so sorry for being so blunt, y'all....... but if Kentin was as nervous as I imagine, I wonder how he managed to actually keep it up 💀💀 but I guess the excitement to be with the girl of his dreams and his passion for Candy helped him with that one.

Lysander: I think he would be cool on the outside trying to be all "it's okay. You don't have to worry about that, my love," but his brain would be pretty much melting trying to process the information that he would have to make it 110% more romantic than he had planned.

Nathaniel: my crackhead and sleep-deprived mind literally just imagined him going to his sister to ask for advice, as if amber weren't who she was in HSL... But I do believe Nath would react just like Lys, but not because his number 1 goal was to make it as romantic as possible, but because he was nervous he would make a huge mistake, that he could hurt Candy in some way... He'd be really worried about that :(

we’re revisiting The Hug

so like. i knew it would be this episode but the entire sequence of events is so fucking incomprehensible.

>ginro wakes up (kohaku is already awake and Just Watching with the rest of the group)

>ginro ogles kohaku IMMEDIATELY upon waking up

>kohaku punches him, teehee funnie moment whatever

>cue emotional shiny eyes from kohaku AND senku

>THEN kohaku runs towards senku

>senku turns his body to receive the hug, emphasis on his feet (not featured in the manga, but it’s both a transition shot AND to show that senku is an active participant in his own way)

>they hug, extra shiny eyes

>kirisame blushes.

> gen is like ‘oh right you still think they’re in a relationship LOL’

>amaryllis elaborates in agreement with gen that yeah their relationship is not romantic.

ok ok ok ok ok. EVERYONE CHILL OUT. obviously ginro is not going to take his almost death seriously (even tho he’s had serious moments before) i think the hug does have a deep feeling of gratitude, senku has shown time and time again that he can be trusted and he’s willing to risk everything if it means saving everyone, so the mission was accomplished…. but this is anime so it is to an extent some good ol fanservice.

i find the sequence confusing because kohaku was already awake so she could have hugged him immediately after waking up but she waits until EVERYONE has been saved in order to celebrate so i understand her reasoning completely, the tone shift is just really insane.

too much shonen anime has primed me to view this reciprocal emotionality as inherently romantic but several things do feel at odds. kohaku brings up romance when she meets him the first time, and then when describing her perfect romantic partner sorta implies senku bc literally who else could it be, but then the people around them are like ‘yeah no it’s not like that’

on one hand i’m like, the characters’ commentary on the hug feels pointed. like. telling fans ‘do not ship them!! you look silly when you do this!!’ but on the other hand, reverse psychology. the continual insistence that their relationship is not romantic (some other thing that is never named, platonic? familial? likely both) seems like inagaki might be negging fans to keep the ‘will they? won’t they?’ dream alive bc it maintains engagement. i’d be soooo mad if i was a kohaku/senku endgame believer either way because everyone and what feels like the author too continues to exclude one way of viewing their relationship. first gaybait straight pairing to exist.

im inclined to believe the characters commentary based on who they are and how they serve the narrative. amaryllis is a seductress (for lack of a better term) and can read men quite well, while gen is The Psychology Guy so his insight based on working with them for a couple years and his ability to read people is basically gold.

anyways they do not end up together in the canon narrative (LOL) so this rant was a little bit pointless, i was just taken aback by how they decided to animate this scene it was WILD.

#i came to the same conclusion that i did with the manga version but the anime version was just so baffling i had to analyze it again #wrote this before even finishing the episode 😭#d.s

like I really, really REALLY don't want to go

it's been 11 years of this, every Thanksgiving, and also sometimes on Christmas too (when we've been there for Christmas)

and I'm in the kinda mood today where I don't think I'm gonna be able to keep quiet about him being a total ass! and making everyone else deal with it!!

I really fucking appreciate him cooking a huge meal for all of us. I'd appreciate it a lot more if I didn't have to suffer through an hour of him cursing and throwing a fit and getting mad at people for being uncomfortable with it

ESPECIALLY because he doesn't let anyone help!!!

like I don't want to feel like a hostage in their house waiting for the incredible awkwardness to go away so we can eat perfectly delicious food that he's going to complain about too. even though he made it. I don't want to fucking deal with that today. I'm too grumpy to be a counter-balance to it. Which I consistently have had to be, because no one else in the family knows how to deal with it either. and as the "odd one out" (the only partner/spouse/in law) I always feel like it's my job to defuse. and I don't want to do that today!!! I don't know if I even can do that today!!!!

like I'm on the verge of raging just thinking about it

I don't have the filter for this today. I don't have the patience. I don't have the fucking grace. I don't want to put the mask on.

I barely even want to be awake right now, lol. Like my depressive episodes are back and about as bad as ever, I can feel myself being very bitter and selfish and bratty, but I just. can't fucking. stop.

I've been dealing with intrusive self-harm thoughts for weeks now, again. Suicidal ideation. General "I don't want to fucking be here anymore" feelings. "Here" apparently meaning "anywhere" to my broken ass brain.

ugh. maybe I'll feel better if I take a shower. probably not tho.

also the strain of weed I bought for the month fucking sucks, it's very low THC, tastes weirdly chemical-fruity, and barely gets me high, and what it actually does is just make me really tired. and it's supposedly a sativa, too. so I'm not smoking as much which is making me even grumpier.

I'm so irritated and antsy and angry today. But that's not a good enough to excuse to miss out on family day.

It's days like this where I just wanna grab everyone by the shoulders and be like "LISTEN, it's not you, it's me, I'm a nightmare human who cannot deal with other humans, and when I'm like this, I'M AN ASSHOLE. please LET ME LEAVE YOU ALONE so I'm not an asshole to you!!!" but they just hear "I'm an asshole and I hate you personally" because I can't fucking suck it up and be a mature ass adult who knows how to deal with people when I'm feeling super antisocial. and yes, I do mean antisocial, not asocial. I don't like people right now.
