Ninjago - How the Ninjas Act When You Get Captured

Jay

When he first heard you were captured, he froze where he stood

Then he comes alive with an entirely new level of anxiety

He’s running around, shaking people by their shoulders, talking at a million words a second, pulling his hair, the whole chalupa

He struggles to calm down enough to actually come up with a plan to save you

Someone has to restrain him so he stops disturbing the others while they think

He finally shuts up when they come up with the final plan

Then he’s all ears

He ends up doing more than his part to save you; he’s more violent with his opponents and he even takes over tasks that the others were supposed to do

He’s sort of ruining the plan, but fortunately it all turns out okay

He finds you tied up in a room, and he practically melts with relief

Throwing his arms around you, he buries his face in the crook of your neck

He stays like that for a while, and you realize that he’s crying

“I’m so sorry… I’m so glad you’re okay… I’m sorry…”

“Hey, it’s okay, love. But, uh… do you mind untying me?”

He sniffs sharply, snapping up and nodding aggressively

He keeps his hands on you the whole time

He insists on holding hands while you flee the base, even though that made it difficult to run

When you got back to the Bounty, he refused to leave you alone

He was scared that you’d be taken again, even when you were miles and miles away from danger

He’ll probably be extra clingy for the next while for the same reason

Cole

At first he didn’t believe it when he heard you were kidnapped

He had to hear the news a few times for it to really register

Then he had to sit down; the room seemed to be spinning

Luckily his teammates were able to pull him out of his stupor with a grounding hand on his shoulder

He was eager to come up with a rescue plan

In a rare display of initiative, he makes most of the plan himself, dishing out orders with surprising authority

And he maintains a leadership role throughout the mission, keeping tabs on everyone and their tasks

Of course, that doesn’t mean he neglects his own responsibilities

He actually gives himself the most important jobs, wanting to make sure that they’re done just as he planned

This includes locating and procuring you

When he finally finds you, he runs over and begins untying you

Once you’re free, he lifts you off your feet in a tight bear hug

His hand is pressing your head firmly against his chest, and he’s peppering you with kisses

“Oh my lord. Oh man. You’re safe. You’re safe, right? Oh lord.”

“Yes, I’m okay, Cole.”

You attempt to wrap your arms around him too, but they’re pinned to your sides too tightly

Eventually he realizes that he’s losing time, so he takes you by the hand and leads you away

When you’re back on the Bounty, everyone tells you about what a great leader he turned out to be

But you notice that their praises are going in one of Cole’s ears and out the other

He’s just staring at you, a little smile on his face as he rests his head on his arm

He’s holding your hand, gently brushing his thumb over your fingers

When they finally leave you alone again, you ask why he’s looking at you like that

“I’m just glad you’re back. Safe. I love you.”

Kai

His initial reaction was a violent panic, and he tried to run to your rescue right away

Luckily someone stopped him; he wouldn’t have even known where to look

Once the initial panic wore off, he was filled with rage

Partially at himself

He was impatient in making a rescue plan

Every time they couldn’t agree about something, Kai would snap, shouting a decision the others were scared to refute

So the plan was admittedly pretty sloppy

And of course Kai barely even stuck to it

He just barreled into action, bashing every head he could get his hands on

He was on an absolute war path, and the others just ended up kinda watching him

Blind as his rampage might have been, he was doing a good job of clearing out enemies

By some miraculous coincidence, he found himself in the room you were being held in

His rage dropped like a mask, and his face was suddenly tender as he bolted to your side

He cupped your face in his hands, turning it from side to side to check for injuries

“Y/n! Are you okay? Does anything hurt? Did they hurt you??”

“I’m fine, Kai. We should hurry.”

His face remained tender as he carefully untied you

He then insisted that he carry you out

Your objections were readily ignored, and he ended up picking you up bridal style mid-protest

He was weirdly undampered by the extra weight

It actually gave him more energy to have you in his arms, and he managed to jog all the way back to the ship

This was only possible because he’d already knocked out every guard and soldier in the vicinity

When you get back, he apologizes sincerely (he still blames himself :( ); you’ll have to be the one to comfort him

Lloyd

He’s actually pretty calm when he hears you’ve been captured

On the inside he’s freaking out, but he knows that panicking won’t do you any good

So he buries his feelings for the sake of efficiency

He’s a little withdrawn during the plan-making process because of his anxiety

He makes sure to do his part flawlessly though, especially because he knows your safety relies on it

When he finally finds you he gets right to untying you and asking if you’re hurt

His worry shines through a little with all the questions he presses on you

He barely waits for you to respond to all of them; the second you get up, you’re wrapped in a gentle hug

He’s a little afraid of hurting you, so he doesn’t squeeze too hard

But you know from the hug that he’s been worried sick (if the questions weren’t telling enough)

He forgets the mission for a moment, completely lost in the relief of having you in his arms again

You’ll have to snap him out of it to get him back in the game

He trusts you to handle yourself, so he’ll take the lead, only looking over his shoulder a couple times to make sure you’re following

When you get back to the Bounty he gives you another hug

It’s tighter this time because now he knows you’re not hurt

“I’m so relieved that you’re safe. I don’t know what I would’ve done otherwise.”

“Then let’s not think about it.”

He’ll let you have your moments with the other ninjas (who are all also glad you’re back :) )

Then he’ll make you both some tea and sit down with you

He encourages you to talk about it, but if you aren’t up to it he’ll do the talking

He’ll tell you how worried he was, and how he knows now that he simply can’t be without you

You’ll talk long into the night, sorting out your feelings from the whole affair together :)

Nya

Much like Kai, she was ready to jump into action the second she found out you were gone

She doesn’t blame herself too much; she’s mainly angry at your captors

And they’ll get the worst of it when she’s unleashed upon them

She won’t go on a totally destructive war path, but lord help any soul unlucky enough to stand in her way

She’s hasty in her plan-making

She actually made the plan as she was running to your rescue

The others scrambled to keep up, knowing it was pointless to reason with her when she got like this

Despite being an impromptu plan, it was actually pretty efficient

Of course, some people (cough cough everyone except Nya) had to improvise to patch the holes in their instructions

But it wasn’t all that disastrous

The only disaster was the state of the place when you guys left

Nya beamed when she found you, not even bothering to untie you before lifting you up and hugging you

She sets you on your feet, looking you up and down before locking eyes with you

Tears brim her warm brown eyes, and she pulls you into a second hug

This one is more emotional; in a few moments you can feel tears soaking through your clothing

She sniffles suddenly, pulling away and patting your shoulder

“Right then. Shall we go?”

“Yes, please.”

When you get back to the Bounty, she insists on having you by her side while she steers

You’ll rest your head on her shoulder, and she’ll lean into your touch

Once she gets to the point that she can switch to autopilot, she hugs you yet again

This time she murmurs about how worried she was, how much she missed you, and even how much she loves you

She smiles softly to herself when she finishes speaking, closing her eyes and rocking back and forth gently

She’ll have you stay in the cockpit with her until she’s ready to go to bed; she doesn’t want to lose sight of you anytime soon

Zane

Out of all the ninjas, he was the most calm when he heard you’d been kidnapped

Of course, he had an initial reaction of shock, but after that he was cool as a cucumber

He couldn’t deny the strange anxiety bubbling in his chest, however

He knew it was because he cared for you, and he wanted you back badly, but it was still a strange sensation

Probably because no one else made him feel that way

As usual, he was an integral part in the process of strategizing the rescue mission

Anxiety be damned, he was going to give his all

And he kept this attitude for the whole mission

Even when he saw you, he asked rather stiffly if you were okay before untying you and guiding you to safety

He gave no indication of his worry, nor his care for you in general

This wasn’t intentional, though; he was only trying to stay in optimal performance

Once you get back to the ship, then he’ll reveal how he was feeling

He’ll wait until you’re alone to say anything

This exacerbates your suspicion that he wasn’t worried at all, but you were immediately reassured when he sat before you

He was close enough that your knees were touching

He stares deep into your eyes

When he speaks his voice is filled with the tenderness he lacked earlier

“I’m sorry I haven’t been there for you since this all happened. I was only trying to execute the mission before, but now I’m here. I’ll listen if you want to talk.”

“Zane…”

Whether you take him up on his offer or not, he’ll be sure to reassure you he loves you before your conversation is done :)

And he insists that you guys cuddle close when you go to sleep

(For your comfort as much as his own)

hello peoples i’m about to sound real crazy right now but hear me out cus i’ve been thinking this for awhile now while binge watching TBGO and Trollstopia and i need to know your thoughts!! and buckle up folks cus this is gonna be a LONG post

so okay basically, i think that in the shows Guy Diamond has some sort of generational trauma/ daddy issues/ faced parental neglect or however else it can be phrased.

this theory is only show specific and i don’t know if i sound crazy for thinking this AND i know i’ve made a post similarly about this except with Dareth from Ninjago but i actually have some real evidence this time to back up this theory/headcanon

look, this theory started off as kind of a joke at first after watching TBGO episode: “Trolly Tales 3” where Guy is seen telling a bunch of children a story based off of the nursery rhyme about jumping over a candlestick.

the story is seen with Guy as the main character, wanting to pursue a life of entertainment involving jumping over candlesticks. Sky Toronto, whom is Guy’s dad in this story, doesn’t agree with this lifestyle and insists he starts thinking more seriously and be part of the company. Guy rebels and pursues his dream anyway, but in the end it fails after the candlestick drops Guy and becomes a solo act. Guy, now at his lowest, goes back to his dad’s and tells him he’s ready to be serious. Sky responds to the statement that he has seen Guy’s shows and that he doesn’t want Guy calling him dad anymore, but to instead call him his #1 fan. it was a small but sweet twist there at the end where the dad accepts the son in the end.

now i didn’t really give much thought to the story until i saw the way Guy reacted when the kids didn’t like it. now i’ll make it very aware that i very much know Guy is just super dramatic (they even acknowledged that in the scene i’m mentioning rn), BUT as someone who loves to overanalyze cartoon characters and expressions, he kind of looked genuinely hurt. he was also fairly offended when poppy said his story was too dramatic.

mentioning again that i know Guy is just a drama queen but i like to overanalyze stuff like this

now after i noticed these details, i jokingly remarked that it seemed like Guy took the dislike of his story personally, as if that was a semi-true story. like as if something like that did happen to Guy when he was younger and he twisted the story to fit the nursery rhyme. i don’t think that Sky Toronto is his actual dad, there’s too much proof that shows they don’t have any personal connection like that. but i do think that whoever his dad really was did push him the same way Sky did in the story. and that maybe Guy twisted the ending to be happy when in reality it probably didn’t have his dad accepting him and loving him for who he was.

now everything i have been talking about is all just speculation. there’s no real proof that this story isn’t anything more than just a story. BUT!!! by overanalyzing it is what made me realize that Guy being neglected in some way by his dad (or mom if he has one) would make some sense considering his personality.

Guy is very reliant on being the center of attention, he doesn’t like the idea of anyone being better than him and just has some confidence issues in general (at least in TBGO). there are many episodes centering around this. this is even stated in Guy Damond’s wiki.

now, attention seeking is a very common occurrence in people that were neglected as a child. his attention seeking and huge ego are both things that show signs of trauma or neglect as seen below

this is just a slice of what i have in store though because i think that this ties into the way he parents Tiny Diamond in Trollstopia.

Guy and Tiny have a few episodes centered around their relationship, they’re all pretty heartwarming and a little sad (while also being funny because the show’s a comedy). these episodes have a pretty similar moral which is “i’ll love you no matter what” and i feel like there’s a reason they all pretty much have this moral and it’s to show how Guy is growing as a character and parent.

let me just summarize these episodes i am thinking of realll quick for ya

Extra Tootering (s1 ep 12a): Tiny wants to learn how to glitter fart like his dad to impress his friends, Guy tries to teach him how but it doesn’t work. time comes where Tiny is meant to show his friends his trick and ended up faking it so no one could know he couldn’t do it. feeling guilty for his lie, he runs away and Guy finds him and tells him that whether he can glitter or not he and his friends will still love him the way he is.

Dad-urday (s2 ep 1b): Tiny thinks of his dad as his hero and Guy doesn’t wanna do ANYTHING that could ever break that image, so Guy participates in Dad-urday events that he hates just to make Tiny happy, only in the end to find out that Tiny will always view Guy as his hero even if he can’t do all the typical dad things that others can do.

Funder Construction (s7 ep 5a): Guy tells Tiny about how their family has a legacy of building extraordinaryly cool blanket forts and unintentionally pressured Tiny into feeling that he needs to make his own super impressive fort or else he won’t be considered a Diamond, Guy immediately comforted and reassured Tiny that no matter what he accomplishes in life he’ll always be a Diamond because he’s his son and that he’ll love him no matter what.

now let me break down these episodes a bit more to show you how i think it could prove Guy has parental trauma and how it plays into how he parents now.

for Extra Tootering, there’s this specific scene that spoke to me. when Tiny tells his dad that he wants to learn how to glitter like him, Guy tells him that he was also a late tooter and that Tiny should be patient, as it comes with time. but then Tiny starts saying that he’ll just hide his true self away until then. when Guy heard his son say those things, he was tearing up and even freaked out a little literally shouting a dramatic “NOOOOOOOOOOO!” and he immediately decided that he was going to help his son learn to glitter fart despite his earlier statement that Tiny should be patient.

now i know the topic being about farting glitter makes this feel so unserious but that isn’t gonna stop me from overanalyzing it LOL

the main thing i noticed was how upset that Guy was when Tiny started talking about hiding himself from the world. Tiny was wanting to hide himself because he couldn’t glitter like Guy could. Guy didn’t wanna be the cause of his son hiding himself!! any parent would be upset in this situation. but if i consider my past point of that story Guy told back in TBGO, where the dad didn’t want his son to be himself, being a real thing that Guy could’ve gone through, Tiny wanting to hide himself could very much upset Guy!! not just for the basic reasons of wanting your child to be happy but also because he doesn’t want Tiny to go through what he went through.

later on when Guy finally finds his runaway son, this interaction plays out:

Guy: “don’t you see? i love you just the way you are! we all do!”

Tiny: “but you’re my daddy, daddy! you have to say that.”

Guy: “…you’re right, Tiny. i guess because i’m your father, in a way, i do have to say it.”

and the way Guy said that last sentence just felt interesting to me. the pause before he said it, and using the words “i guess” made it feel like he never really got that treatment from his own father ? ofc i could just be grasping at straws there a lil bit but it’s what i’m thinking.

now by the end of the episode Tiny has learned how to glitter and used it to save himself, his dad, and friends from falling to death lol— but what Guy says to Tiny afterwards was very sweet.

Guy: “TINYYYYY! HAHA! you did it! YOOOOU did it!!! for the record, i’d still love you if you couldn’t, but i’m glad to not be dead.”

i just like how Guy specified that he still would’ve loved Tiny either way. this doesn’t directly lead any points to my theory other than maybe Guy feels the need to make sure Tiny absolutely knows that he’ll love him no matter what. but any parent should feel that way about their child. i just really thought the moment was sweet and worth a mention.

now onto the next episode, Dad-urday, and let me tell you this episode probably spoke to me the MOST when it came to defending my theory.

for the entire episode Guy was stressing over disappointing his son. Tiny thinks of Guy as his hero, and Guy doesn’t want to do anything that could ever shatter that thought and make Tiny think less of him. so he and Tiny participate in a thing called Dad-urday, where all the dads in Trollstopia do a bunch of stereotypical dad things (like grill, play catch, fish, stuff like that). but Guy isn’t good at those things, so he goes to his friends for help and this interaction pursues.

(direct quotes from ep)

Synth: “Tiny’s gonna love dad-urday! he thinks the world of you and what-not!”

Guy: “exactly! Tiny thinks i can do anything! but tomorrow he’ll realize i can’t, and i just don’t want my little boy to lose his hero…”

Guy is seen here putting so much pressure on himself for no reason! he should know that Tiny would love him despite his lack of ‘dad’ skills, but he’s convinced himself that if he isn’t perfect and amazing at everything then his son will think less of him. this is totally rooted in Guy’s confidence issues and probable parental neglect i think.

so Guy forces himself to do typical Dad-urday things (with the help of his friends) to make sure not to disappoint his son. but things go wrong when Guy has to participate in a boating event to which he gets into a dangerous position. at this point Guy’s friends finally told Tiny the truth and Tiny immediately just wants his dad to get out of the danger he’s in leading to this interaction

Tiny: “daddy! your daddy friends already told me everything! you gotta get out of there!”

Guy: “b-but— this isn’t how i wanted this to go, Tiny! you’re my little boy! and i want you to keep on believing i can do anything! so you don’t lose your hero!”

the way that Guy sounded so panicked and upset in this scene really hurt. to me it feels like Guy is desperate to not end up being a bad dad, he wants to be someone his son can look up to and to be the first person he goes to if there’s a problem. i really think this shows that Guy never had a good role model himself, as he doesn’t understand that he doesn’t need to do all the things he’s making himself do in order to achieve this goal.

this mindset even had Guy forget that Tiny already knew he’s not perfect, as Tiny pointed out he already knew he’s not capable of everything and specified about when Guy tried to build his bike and failed, which made Guy finally remember. Tiny then proceeded to list a bunch of other things about his dad that aren’t the most charming, like his bald spot, or his fake calves lmao

anyways the next bit of dialogue here seems pretty meaningful

Tiny: “there’s only one reason you’re my hero, daddy…. *BECAUSE* you’re my daddy!”

Guy (tearfully): “…really?”

the fact Guy was crying in this scene just showed how touched he felt that he didn’t actually have to be perfect to be a good dad. and that he already was one. the mere fact that being his dad made Tiny think of him as his hero definitely made him realize he was doing a good job. he needed to hear that after all the pressure he put on himself earlier.

now onto Funder Construction, which is a pretty big one too cus they actually talk about their family in this episode!

this could potentially put a little dent into my theory since Guy is the one who talks about them and he didn’t seem like someone who didn’t like his family. but i might just put it as he didn’t wanna have his child worry about it. i mean Guy is an actor in the show, it wouldn’t be too crazy for him to ignore his feelings for a minute and talk a little kindly about their family’s legacy to inspire Tiny, because Guy did play a fair part in it after all.

now to put it simply this episode hurt my heart so bad 😭 Guy’s parenting in this episode is so good it hurt. Tiny found an interest in making blanket forts, so Guy tells Tiny about how making blanket forts runs in the family and that they’ve all made huge creations out of them. and now Tiny wants to do the same.

Guy supports Tiny throughout the entire thing until Tiny starts rushing it and the fort becomes unstable. by then Guy is begging Tiny to stop but Tiny is consistent on getting it done. then the tower starts wobbling over with them on it and they fall off the side! luckily they were able to hold onto some loose blankets but they still were in a very unsafe position. and even then, still Tiny is consistent about finishing this fort and thus, this interaction pursues:

Tiny: “i have to build something the world has never seen before!”

Guy: “BUT WHY?!”

Tiny: “because if i don’t…i’m not a Diamond.”

Guy: “…not a Diamond..?”

and dude. Guy’s face after Tiny said that. that brief moment of just an emotion change felt like Guy was realizing that he unintentionally pressured Tiny into thinking that if he didn’t build this fort he wouldn’t be considered part of the family. this is the exact thing Guy wanted to prevent Tiny from feeling.

so now continuing the scene, tiny is crying at this point:

(direct quotes)

Tiny: “it’s like you said, ‘every Diamond built structures that would stand until the end of time.’ so, if i don’t do that… how can i be one of them?”

Guy: “…Tiny Diamond. young man, you listen to me, and you listen good, because i have something that you need to hear. first of all, the things the Diamonds of the past did took them their entire lifetimes. if they caught one glimpse of what you’ve accomplished as a child..? it would blow the hair right off their heads!”

Tiny: [smiles and sniffs]

Guy: “and second of all, and way way more importantly, none of that matters! i don’t care if you build a thousand skyscrapers, or if you never touch another blanket again, you are always a Diamond. because you.. are my son.”

this scene is so important not just for Tiny but for Guy too. Tiny is learning once again that his dad will truly love him no matter what. and unlike last time with the glitter fart, (which Tiny was able to achieve in the end), in this episode, Tiny’s plan doesn’t work, but now he’s okay with it. because his dad made him feel less pressured and more loved. Guy Diamond truly said some powerful things to his son. this will most likely be a memory that Tiny will remember forever and that’s such a good thing.

coming back to the theory though, Guy had accidentally made his son feel how his family probably made him feel in the past. maybe not about specifically the blanket tower stuff but possibly something similar or just anything in general. pressure to live up to family values can be traumatic if your family makes you feel outcasted for not living up to it the way they want. and considering i think Guy either got disowned or ran away himself, (solely based on the story he told those children in TBGO), it obviously didn’t end very well.

the fact he made Tiny feel that pressure was probably heart breaking to Guy. and he made sure to immediately make sure Tiny knew he had no reason to feel like that. he became so serious so fast to make SURE tiny didn’t feel out of place in their family.

and that just shows Guy’s development not just from the trauma im theorizing but just in general in the show. Guy was never really the most serious character in this show. i mean, he’s a naked sparkly troll who’s main character trait half the time is farting glitter or being super dramatic in comedic ways. but seeing how serious Guy gets when it’s about his son just goes to show how seriously he cares about him. and that’s how you break generational trauma yall, Guy Diamond mastered it.

so um yeah this is pretty much all i have to say about this theory. i just wanted to show how i thought that Guy didn’t have a good childhood but made sure his son had a great one. really sweet stuff for this mostly unserious show. i know this is probably super dumb but i don’t care i just love dumb things. and if you actually read all of this thanks and here’s a cookie 🍪

FULL Dragons Rising thoughts and opinions!

PLEASE BE AWARE SPOILERS FOR EPISODES 1-10 OF DRAGONS RISING LIES AHEAD!!! If you have not watched it PLEASE be aware that the following contains both massive and minor spoilers for the entire plot of part 1, if you haven’t seen the full thing and wish to go in without spoilers I HEAVILY recommend you save this for later. I put this message here for those who do not have the spoiler tags filtered.

so… new ninjago show! So far? Absolutely love it. It’s shaping up to be interesting and… …well written??! I really enjoyed It, especially the characterization. Sooo good. No concrete opinions on the overarching plot yet, since.. it isn’t out… BUT I do think it’s shaping up to be pretty great.

Now without further ado-

1: Characters

1.1: Arin

I’d say I enjoy him! I do like how he’s portrayed as giddy and all ready to learn, his dream basically just came true and it’s great. Man hyper fixated so much that he taught himself an ancient art style and like yeah that tracks.

I like his design - you can tell he’s had a rough life by the dirt on his shirt and the scratch marks on his face, but he tries not to give up hope or let it get to him too much. I also like how he has a haircut commonly associated with black people and they kept the theme by also having that one line about a haircut he tried to get reference Zane’s, since Zane also has a haircut commonly used by black people. Nice lil way of alluding to a potentially POC character while still using the Lego skin tones.

His little moments where he lets his struggles get the best of him and showcases how his life these past few years have also impacted him for not just the better but also worse - they’re great. Nice way of balancing his character and personality with his experiences while not losing the charm. Things like him being all self deprecating sometimes, or how he felt seen when people looked up to him - they’re great. Not as much as I’d like, but i get the feeling that while this part was more focused on Sora and her backstory, the next might be more centered around Arin.

On a more personal note - while I think he’s great and has potential, I dunno if he’s really my thing. I don’t hate him, I actually like him, just not as much as some other characters right now. I think he needs some time to grow on me, or it’s just not my thing. Either way, he’s cool. Also I love how he just slaps his medallion on his face when he gets second place… it’s so dramatic-

1.2: Sora

aaaa trans kitty cat girl my beloveddd she’s just ugghhhh I love her so much. Probably one of my favorite new characters. I liked her but was scared they’d go too far with the generic big sister trope and she’d never get any deeper than that but boy I’m glad I was wrong.

I love her design. The whites and blues a pinks? Really glad they didn’t just go for a full color again, it makes her more distinct! I also love the prosthetic arm SO MUCH. Rare to see any sort of disability rep in media. Even rarer to see prosthetics. (Also yes ik it’s possible it’s just like armor or smthn but given the way it moves I’m like 99% sure it’s a prosthetic, plus I could be wrong but It looks a lot like she has it off during the scene where Lloyd wakes them up, since you can’t see her gold/prosthetic arm where it would usually be. Only going based off of pictures and memory here tho so.) < — haaaahaaaa yeah so uh future Cookie here, wrote that part before the statement came out..yeah that aged poorly. Look maybe they said it’s armor but I REFUSE to accept it that is a prosthetic to me. My mind has engrained it as a prosthetic meaning I couldn't change my mind even if I tried. Leaving that part in tho for histories sake. - Also, the Japanese cat girl is such a vibe. I love how I was right with the blue scrunchie in my art of her.,The power of character design.

I loved her story so much. She was just a kid with a love for technology and making the world a better place, she got offered what she thought was her dream job only to realize the cruel truth she’d likely been ignoring, in such a traumatizing way by the person she looked up to. She got shunned not only socially but by her own parents, being told she was a horrible person for prioritizing the dragons life over her cities energy and questioning the dictatorship. She grew to hate her home and fled and made a life for herself. I love her lil deadname tease, I love how she feels towards her powers and how she feels like she isn’t all that Lloyd thinks she is, how she clearly has issues and also her personality. Her siblings energy with Arin is so good. I love when Lloyd and Arin doubt who’s side they’re on too. I like how she doesn’t learn to control her powers like some ex machina when it’s needed on her own. She tries her hardest but fails and instead of constantly letting that get her down she still tries to fight without them, even if it doesn’t always go well. Dhdhfjdjs I could rant all day.

So uhh yeah i love her. Kitty cat girl. I really like the duality between her and Arin but also the stuff they have in common like sndhdhsben. I mean it should be obvious I like her. She’s in my title thingymajig and I made art for her. But still. Hdjdjdhdh I LOVB HER.

Also this isn’t part of my analysis but when she gets fake IDs if you translate the ninjagan on her card it reads “Sora Surname” as a placeholder and I think it’d be hilarious if we just started using that as her last name tag since this community is obsessed with them. Sora Surname. It’d be so funny. Please tag your posts Sora Surname.

1.3: Euphrasia

So like when dragons rising first released I saw quite a few peoples hating on this girl and imo I actually really like her. I feel like the hate is sort of unfounded but I’ll get into that later.

I like her!! I like the idea of her being a cloud kingdom monk, i like the new cloud kingdom designs, I like that FINALLY girls seem to exist there, and her wanting to ignore and hide her powers because she’s happy where she is and she doesn’t want to lose it. Side note, I do prefer this cloud kingdom, I feel like it leaves more room. Like if someone doesn’t like the idea that they write destiny at all they can just.. chose to see them as a sort of religious group who doesn’t actually write fate, and then if you like the idea that they can control some amount of destiny you can say that they do have control over some parts of it, but that they simply can’t control everything and in the end it’s not only up to them but also the people of the world if the prophecies come true or not (personally I like to think that’s how it is/is implied) or that they COULD control destiny but can’t anymore after the merge. Idk you can stretch it more and I like that. So much better than the old cloud kingdom imo.

Back to Euphrasia, I do like her story and the little we see of her. I’m not actually bothered by the fact that she only appears in one episode. I’ve seen people complaining about it but come on guys, we literally only have ten episodes, would you have preferred that she randomly pops into imperium when she has no logical way of getting there and that’s where like every single other episode takes place?? There physically wasn’t anywhere else she would have appeared after episode 5 unless you made her join Sora and Arin, which not only would you need to lengthen the plot to develop her as a character with interactions since they JUST met, but also it’s refreshing to have a new EM who isn’t one of the new MCs.

the OTHER reason I see people hate her is because of Morro. Obviously, she’s the new master of wind, meaning Morro is dead, and his element went back to the cycle and found a new host. So people are upset.

guys. Guys we literally knew this. We’ve known he was dead since like 2015. We’ve known he moved on to the departed realm since 2016. We’ve known that the wind element has gone back to the cycle and found a new host for YEARS. That doesn’t mean Morro suddenly doesn’t exist. He just doesn’t have his element anymore. He could still appear in the new series, and even if he doesn’t I’m honestly ok with that. His arc is done and i get the feeling he’d go out of his way to avoid the ninja after the merge anyway. It isn’t Euphrasia fault, stop hating on her D:

I don’t have much else to say about her yet. I loved her story and moments and design and vibe and everything but there isn’t much else to talk about bc of the smol screen time amount, so yeah.

1.4: Wyldfyre

Silly wolf-raised-girl-trope-with-a-dragon-twist. I love her so much. Not sure I’d call her one of my favs yet (uuugh they’re all my favs… sobs..) only bc we didn’t see much of her character interactions n stuff.

Her design is so pretty. The colors make her look like a Qilin to me which I love so much.

I do like how she’s knowledgeable enough with humans to be able to interact with the rest of the cast while still keeping her draconic behaviors or knowledge that she gained by being raised around them. I think it’s a nice little limbo and I feel like we’re gonna see at least one identity crisis from her now that she’s in the group.

I’m usually not much of a fan of these types of characters but I actually really like her and I’m excited to see where they go with her. Plus, her powers and the lighting they give off are so pretty.

1.5: Lobbo

I had to include him. Look at him. I CALLED IT. I TOLD YOU ALL, ALL THE WAY BACK IN THE TRAILER DAYS I POINTED OUT LOBBOS MECH. I SAID I LOVED HIM ALREADY AND I WAS RIGHT. TAKE THAT INTERNET!! I unironically love him he’s so funny nobody understands him he’s just THERE with parental and relationship struggles and it’s just so funny to me. Little silly orb man. Now onto the villains!

1.6: Empress Beatrix

So I like… love her design, it’s so menacing and I think she’s so awesome looking. Super gender too. I find her weird rules funny but also sometimes I want to punch her in the face. Like.. why did she get so mad about Rapton being incompetent, but then.. fire Ras… who didn’t really do anything wrong except for fail that ONE time.. instead of Rapton.. who physically isn’t competent whatsoever?? Like I don’t get it?? It felt so random. Maybe it’s some form of her wanting to feel superior and in control so she got rid of Ras as a statement. But then… why not also fire Rapton, who thinks highly of himself bc of the position you gave him?.. I dunno I don’t get it maybe they’ll tell us in part 2.

1.7: Lord Ras

Ah yes, the guy people seem to really like. I’ll be honest, I don’t get the appeal?? Like his design feels out of place, which I guess is intentional but I just.. don’t really like the look of the awkward head mold. It’s a personal thing ig. His personality is just kind of boring to me and we don’t know anything else about him because he’s that scary bad guy general except oh wait he screwed up once and got thrown in prison!! Like I don’t get it?? Look guys he’s not even that attractive. I might be aroace but even I can tell that much. It’s the voice isn’t it. Y’all are simping for the voice smh /lh

I guess his whole “plan” thing is a bit interesting but even that isn’t something I’m too interested. I kinda just found him pretty boring and I felt disinterested whenever he showed up.

like in the last few episodes it felt like they were trying to make us feel bad for him with the way the empress treated him but like, they don’t give us anything to feel bad for?? I dunno the whole thing felt awkward and clunky.

Maybe my opinions will change in part 2 where we’re probably gonna find out more about him, but until then, meh.

also I want to punch him in the face sometimes. I dunno he’s just being all th e r e and boring and so I want to punch him and get him off of the screen because it’s like an annoying type of boring. Yk like an annoying torturous silence. But boring. Yeah that. No offense I don’t hate him I just want to punch him off of my screen.

1.8: Rapton

Silly goofy guy. I’ll be honest I found his incompetence a bit.. annoying? Like I get he’s supposed to be comic relief but like it doesn’t feel right sometimes?? It’s just a personal thing ig. I feel like having some comic relief villains is ok but imperium just has too much comic relief in their villain roster?? Like Ras and Beatrix are pretty much the only capable ones in a fight. Ras got chucked in prison and barely shows up or does much, and Beatrix still has comic relief elements in her ridiculous laws and such. LaRow could count but shes not really a competent fighter since she cowers and nopes out the second Arin tries to fight her. I feel like it just.doesn’t work with imperiums vibe having rapton as a general, and honestly i didn’t find his jokes funny (but ofc humor is subjective). I don’t dislike him, I just don’t really care about him. I want to punch him in the face whenever he shows up but out of annoyance.

1.9: Dr. LaRow

She shows up and I want to punch her but this time out of malice and hatred. She’s a good villain and I like how they handled her but I physically can not feel anything but spite for this woman and I love that. Great villain. Hate her with every fiber of my being which is how it should be.

1.10: Dorama

I don’t have much to say about him asides from that the magician vibes are fun and that I want to punch him in the face for his attitude towards living beings.

… apparently I really feel like punching all of them. Huh. I swear I’m not like this usually I dunno something about all these villains is just punchable.

2: Interactions

Honestly? I’d say the interactions in this show were great. Sora and Arin are great foils to each other and best buds. My only thing is I hope the show doesn’t try to push a ship (I’ve seen people complain about shipping them and while I see their dynamic in a platonic familial sense I have nothing against people shipping them romantically atm since we don’t know of anything that’d make it problematic, I just don’t think it should be forced in canon) but I choose to be hopeful and say it probably won’t. Lloyds interactions with his new students are amazing and so funny srfvjrtfjer Lloyds really gone from the guy who didn’t know what a VCR was to the guy who probably still doesn’t know what a VCR is (somehow) but has now adopted two strays and needs to pretend to know what a VCR is. It’s so funny. The sibling bicker between Lloyd, Kai and Nya was ok, I guess? Never cared much for the RGB sibling idea… Iknowww shame on me but uh was it just me or did the interactions feel a bit… forced? I dunno, something about it just felt off. Was it just me or did anyone else feel like that?? Also Soras interactions with Dr. LaRow and Rapton… so good… Overall I like the interactions even if the ones between the ninja felt a bit forced.

3: Writing & plot

So I enjoyed the writing.. specifically the characters dialogue and such. I think this season has some really good balance between dialogue and characters. I liked the pacing a lot up until the imperium episodes. I don’t have a problem with them on their own - I liked the conflict it sparked and the stakes and seeing Sora’s backstory, but I also felt like it dragged on too much?? Like Sora kept escaping and then getting captured and then escaping and then going back like it felt really backtracky and it kind of messed with the consistency and the pacing, yk?? Also the battle with the protacs definitely felt like the writers were trying to stall or smthn. Idk.

Also, did Zane popping up feel.. unnecessary and rushed to anybody else?? Like the IDEA was awesome and cool, things were great up until they opened the pod.. then Zane pops up and he doesn't really do anything except for immediately become a generic background exposition tool, he barely even interacts with Kai and Nya. Having him there felt so… unnecessary? He doesn’t DO anything. You could get rid of him and just give them another way of activating the monastery and it’d change nothing. Plus it’s NOT explained and he’s just so… unemotional and “whatever” about it that it just… feels so unnatural?? Idk I can’t explain it. Maybe it’s just me not liking how they seem to be reverting to making Zane more of a robotic exposition tool like after s4. I don’t like it. You could’ve just left him to part 2 though.

I’ve seen ppl complain about the “retcons” with Lloyd saying he trained under Master Wu for years and being shown as a child, but like, they’re not really retcons…? From what I remember they never give us any sort of specifics towards the timeframe in which S1-S2 takes place outside of S2 taking place only a few weeks after the S1 finale, but that doesn’t really apply to the ENTIRE season. It’s not Impossible that the events we see all take place over the course of a few years, since most of the episodes aren’t connected to each other beyond the overarching plot. And nothing ever said that Wu didn’t train Lloyd. What we see isn’t the only training that took place. Maybe I forgot something important that says otherwise, but the idea that S1-2 took place in only a few weeks/months is completely fan made, meaning it wasn’t a retcon. Sure, maybe it seems weird, but it’s never been stated otherwise. Now, if it IS a retcon, I’m not complaining for one. Why, you might ask? Because them using child Lloyd and saying he trained under Master Wu for years might mean we can FINALLY be rid of the Tomorrows tea confusion!! We could have him grow up naturally, or age him up and clarify and elaborate on how it works, we could FIX the entire stupid argument that has been going on for YEARS. I for one am ecstatic at that possibility. Also, it means we might get additional context and stuff for S1-S2, which sounds fun ,so honestly I have no problem with it. There have been worse plot holes/retcons *glares at Nyad from across the room*

I can’t say much about the overarching plot yet, since obviously it isn’t out, but it’s shaping up to be pretty exciting!

4: Worldbuilding

I feel like I can’t judge this TOO much considering the nature of part 1. I absolutely loved the crossroads and the mix of different cultures, real splatsville vibes, but I do feel like we should get to see more of how the other realms are doing. Imperium felt a bit.. strange? Like it’s just a massive city of humans right?? I don’t really get why it had to be an entire separate realm, I think it should’ve been more unique on like a larger scale. I dunno though. Honestly there wasn’t much worldbuilding in this part, so I hope we get more soon.

5: Visual design & animation

Okay so this new series is BEAUTIFUL. The colors and the backgrounds are so much more vibrant, the lighting is so pretty, the environments are amazing, they kept the wild brain clothing textures and just uuuugh I love it so muchychxhazjchcjdiwhthfs the animation felt very expressive and ueuahahehfhdsj I have no words props to wildbrain and the animators/artists. It’s so pretty.

Overall this part was great and I’m really excited to see what comes next!!

Venomous Teachings au: The Underworld Duo

Talking more about this au bc I’ve got brainworms, so I’m starting off talking about my blorbos: Garmadon and Nya

So Nya is captured by the Skulkin like in cannon, and she’s taken to the Underworld.

After a few days, she gets a visit from the man behind the Skulkin, Wu masquerading as the Dark Lord Garmadon. He’s wearing a mask and a big cloak and has something that changes his voice, so she doesn’t recognize him as the weird old man who came by the blacksmith shop just before the Skulkin attacked.

He says some ominous stuff, telling Nya that she won’t be harmed, he just needs something from her brother, and then she’ll be released. Nya gets pissed, yelling at him to stay away from Kai, and when Wu ignores her and turns away to leave, she throws her shoe at him, knocking his mask off and recognizing Wu.

This pisses him off immensely, and he then tells her that she will never leave the Underworld now, but he isn’t going to kill her yet bc she might be useful with something. He Samukai to have her locked up deep in the Skulkin’s base, and then he leaves.

While being moved from where she’s being held, Nya is rescued by Garmadon in a Skulkin ‘disguise’, which is just a big cloak and a kinda crappy mask. It’s very effective.

He has one for her to wear, and the two are able to make it to a rather run-down Skulkin vehicle that Garmadon stole years ago and escape.

They make it back to Garmadons ‘home’, which is a cave, where Nya learns what’s really going on; the weird 6′10″ man-cat that just saved her is the real Garmadon, they guy who kidnapped her is his evil little brother Wu, and the fate of the world rests on Wu not getting ahold of the Golden Weapons that Garmadon hid years ago

When Garmadon realizes who Nya’s parents are, he realizes that Wu went after the siblings bc he needed Kai to get the Sword of Flame, and Nya was probably taken to give him a reason to help Wu

Nya immediately wants to get back to Ninjago to shove her other shoe up Wu’s butt, but there’s a small issue.

The only way to move between the Underworld and Ninjago is with one of the Skulkins vehicles, but the one that Garm stole had that part severely broken, and he hasn’t been able to figure out how to fix it. The fact it was broken was why it was so easy for him to steal it in the first place.

With Nya’s help and mechanical talent, they get the vehicle fixed

After one year

During this year, Garmadon is helping Nya master her elemental powers, teaching her Spinjitzu, combat, survival skills, how to cheat at poker, etc. The two wind up growing close during this time, forming a familial relationship. But while all this is happening, Nya is...changing, in an unexpected way

((I gave Garm a new outfit bc 1) it looked weird to me to have him not change when I was drawing these and 2) I gave him and Nya some of each others colors to symbolize them having formed a bond))

I’ll go into more detail about these lore changes in a future post, but while most Elemental lines started with the First Spinjitzu Master gifting elemental powers to certain trusted humans, Wind and Water come from being direct, physical descendants of Wojira.

Much like Garmadon, being in the Underworld for an extended period of time started to bring Nya’s not-human heritage to the surface. If either of them were normal humans, being stuck in the Underworld for a long period of time would have slowly killed them.

Neither of them know any of this, and both think its some form of corruption from the dark energies in the Underworld. For now.

Anyway, the two are eventually able to get back to Ninjago, but due to their changes and Garmadons unearned infamy, they have to cobble together some...interesting disguises

If anyone asks, they just say they’re uncle and niece, and that a rare skin condition runs in the family.

Nya pretends that her horns are a part of her headband.

The hat does nothing, Garmadon just thought it completed the look.

But, the first thing they do is head to where Garmadon hid the Map to the Golden Weapons to try and make sure it doesn’t fall into his hands. They have their first confrontation with Wu’s ninja team there, but that’s for another post.

Rubs my hands together like an evil little fly.

First off, we have my beloved dear little guy Mouser. Mouser is my TAZ Steeplechase OC (also kinda self insert? cringe is dead okay) They literally revolutionized oc-making for me. They’re the first OC I’ve made where I’ve actually put in a ton of time and effort into their clothing and color palette. I have also spent the most money gettinf commissions of them, probably over $200 usd has been spent on them total. Worth every cent. Mouser was my gateway OC into making more diverse and interesting (and visually appealing!) ocs, as well as my first steps into accepting the cringe life.. Maybe it’s okay to just make a self insert OC, who am I hurting anyways? Not only that… Mouser is actually a huge contributing factor to me finally starting on T. They gave me so much gender euphoria to look at that something twisted and turned and kicked on in my brain and I started taking the idea of getting started seriously.

Their story is very special and interesting to me but I’ve already rambled on enough, so I’ll just skip to your last question.

I would sell the tiny D&D character I made for a one shot with strangers in a heartbeat. Actually I don’t want the corn chip. Please take him away. He was based very strongly off of Lloyd from Ninjago and while there’s nothing wrong with that, I just deeply hate and regret the way that I played him and thinking about it makes me make the “eugh” face every time without fail.

You know the Cole doodles I posted? I’m going to continue to use that design for him, but I’m also going to use it for an original character for a new story.

The character is based off of Cole, but he also has his own personality and backstory and a completely different life.

The story he’s going to be in is called Ghostseeker, and it’s almost a Ninjago au, but mostly it’s my own story. I’ll be using my new Cole and Jay designs (the latter I’ve not shared yet) for the characters based off of them, but they’ll have different names and backstories.

It’s a little complicated, but I’m pretty happy with the story so far.

The tag for it is going to be #Ghostseeker au, and you’re free to see it as an au, and call the characters by the names of the characters they’re based off of.

I might still tag it as a Ninjago au, but the characters will usually be called by different names.

Overall, you’re free to see this as a Ninjago au, or a different story, and the characters are interchangeable between being the Ninjago characters and ocs.

It’s up to you.

Now that that’s said, I have a ref sheet for one of the main characters, and the character based off of Cole. He’ll be known mostly as Reaper in the story itself, but feel free to call him Cole.

Yeyeye! I can answer all of them :))))

1. I have a. story for Kai’s arm, it’s got to do with my oc Akako in my AU! It’s around the finale of Season 2, when they’re on the Dark Island. Akako wants to prove to Garmadon that she’s good enough to keep (maybe there’s a conflict or a threat that the Overlord/Garmadon will leave her on the Dark Island while they return to ninjago.) So this time she doesn’t hold back, and neither do the ninja considering she’s been a thorn in their side for some time.

They aren’t exactly aware of her element, and how it works until it’s too late. Any damage she takes she can use it against others, though at the cost of her having to deal with those wounds. This includes elements (if she was struck by Jay she can zap him back ❤️)

Thus, Kai attempts to finish her off once and for all, and stabs her with his sword (im pretty sure their weapons at the time can harness their elements). Akako while decently hurt, uses this as a final opportunity to attack before fleeing (or before going insane who knows (i don’t)). She attempts to absolutely incinerate him but he’s only able to dodge so much and gets burnt really badly on his arm. He takes the gap between season 2 and season 3 (maybe even up until 4) to recover properly. And when she eventually does get her goofy redemption arc he’s the last person to trust her.

As for his gold tooth I’d imagine he got it knocked out around season 5 and got the gold filler before or at the start of season 6 to show off honestly. I think it suits him 🦐

2. Lloyds gi is sleeveless because i thought it’d look decent enough 💀 He’s admittedly a little thinner/lankier than the others though so I might go back to him wearing a tank top or something underneath. He does have gloves that go really high up his arms, so he’s covered up a little bit. Those are just concept sketches I made on a whim however, I’m working on the proper reference as we speak :)

3. There’s somewhat of a connection yes :) Though i need to figure out the plot reason behind it, I do know that they’re based off the tassels of Akako

The season I’m making that those gi appear in is a season based around her, so I thought it’d be neat for their designs to all tie together!

I actually did take a bit of inspiration from Sky: Children of Light, and their cape outfits. There’s a certain cape with tassels coming from them and I thought that’s be cool to incorporate and personalise for each ninja. It’s also a callback to back in 2017/2018 where when I drew them as silly little stickmen I liked to draw their tassels differently! Akako is a reworked oc from back then as well (vomits)

Nya and Jays gloves are more of an aesthetic choice for me, but I do take a lot of inspiration from steven universe and their designs sometimes. With Nya specifically I loved the one fingered gloves that Sardonyx from Steven Universe wear :)

Every “the creators said that [x thing] is ACTUALLY [y thing], NOT [assumption made about x thing based on the show]” takes a year off my life.

I don’t care if the elemental power system as portrayed in the show is relatively simple and the origins of elemental powers go relatively unexplained, I’m going to assume that it’s just a very basic magic system (nothing wrong with that) and the elemental powers just kind of spawned in at some point.

I don’t care if the show doesn’t link major villains and set up some complex domino effect or interconnectedness, I’m going to assume they’re all doing their own thing and they all happen to be evil. I’m also just not a fan of the “surprise! It’s all been connected! Here’s a massive crossover event.” thing, but that’s a post for another time.

Especially since Ninjago as a show ran for a long time, if the creators want to go back and challenge well-established lore or assumptions, it’s not really going to land. Also, since Ninjago was poorly planned, the assumptions the audience makes to make the show make sense are extra important and there are a lot more random assumptions and theories than a show with… actual planning that went into it over the course of its entire run.

I’m all for cool random show trivia and extra creator bits but having a simple little silly kids’ show is also fun and fine. Also, I’m just gonna come out here and say it, if a creator wants their cool thing to be in their show, either make it canon or allude to it so strongly that the audience can assume it, otherwise, I just can’t make myself care.

Jesse Marvell takes a deep breath as he absently taps his pencil against the desk in his Language class. It’s hard to pay attention when you’ve realized the new kid in school is also an Elemental Master, and you were also in charge of making sure they’re starting to get into the swing of things. Preferably quickly, and preferably with as little incident as possible. Jesse totally understands that. 

Jesse already knows he wants to keep a close eye on the guy–partly for safety, partly for curiosity, but just the same...

He watches the new kid sitting in the chair beside him, Jamie, disconnect from the class via popping some earbuds in and taking off into their own head through music (a habit they seem to share with Cole). The desks on the other side of Jamie are notoriously empty, as the other students are perhaps too intimidated by their height or their neutral-faced stare. Or maybe it’s the blue-and-yellow ponytail Jamie sports catching others off-guard. 

But it’s already Jamie’s fourth day of being at Ninjago City High, and no one seems to be willing to approach him. Good, because hey, that’s less people to catch onto the bizarreness of having white pupils. Bad...because Jesse, too, knows what it’s like to struggle to make a good first impression, and finding common ground with others. 

Especially when most people don’t believe in the Elements...or, in magic.

“Jamie’s in mine and Nya’s grade—we got introduced to him during Geometry the other day,” Antonia Sawyer explains, meeting Jesse at their lockers between classes. She’s on her phone, editing away at a potential story for the school newspaper, yet multitasking by talking to her best friend. “His ~special hobby~ is that he’s pretty into photography, and he claims he’s even gotten a photo of the Ninja in action—I’ve actually thought about inviting him to the Newspaper Club. We can always use some fresh faces!”

“Well, keep me posted if he says yes. The school secretary left me in charge of making sure he’s fitting in around here,” Jesse sighs, blowing his bangs out of his face. Antonia gives him a questioning look, jabbing a thumb over her shoulder. 

“You could always invite him to eat lunch with us, you know.” 

“I could, but...there’s already a lot of us crammed at that table, and I’d hate to immediately overwhelm him, or make him uncomfortable.” 

Jesse squirms in place, unable to present the real issue of potentially accidentally outing the Secret Ninja Force if he were to introduce Jamie to them. He doesn’t know how much Jamie is aware of the truth about eye colors, or the Elemental Compass, or their own Elemental Inheritance, or if they even know what their own element is...because if Jesse can’t even figure it out, then the odds are even slimmer than he could have imagined.

The Ninja could try to pressure Jamie for answers Jamie might not even have, in all their usual impulsive glory, or the Shark Army might swoop in to try and recruit Jamie to their side, as they once did for Nya and Lloyd (although Jesse still hasn’t sussed out just how and why the army’s got a connection in the school of all things–)

But, giant life-changing consequences aside, there’s a part of Jesse that wants things to go well just because he wants them to go well. Better than anyone else, he knows how quickly a pleasant surprise can sour into a nasty one, and if Jamie is anything remotely like Jesse at all...well, someone at this school deserves a good experience, at least. And Jesse’s determined to make it a good one for this kid. 

“...well, I guess my advice to you would be, what do you normally do when you want to reassure someone?” Antonia asks, pocketing her phone to look Jesse ini the eye. “You’ve always been good at providing support—that’s why you make such a great student council secretary! Just talk to him, and offer to do what you can, like you usually do.”

The bell rings, signaling the end of their conversation. Antonia grabs her books and bids Jesse a ‘see ya later!’, taking off down the hall. Jesse, meanwhile, puts a hand to his chin and thinks thoroughly on what Antonia said. 

“What I normally do, huh...?”

Jesse snaps his fingers, making a few pink and white sparkles dance into existence, and he smiles to himself.

Jamie hums to himself as he organizes his books at the end of the school day. He taps his hand against the door to the beat of the song currently blasting from his earphones. Today had been a rather quiet day—he didn’t approach a lot of people, and a lot of people didn’t approach him, but that was okay. Making too many connections could be...costly. Especially when connections were so easy to break. 

...grumbling a bit, Jamie shuts his locker door. He immediately finds that weird student council guy waiting behind it, and launches himself into a series of screams. Jesse wails and waves his hands around in a way that makes Jamie believe he’s about to take off and fly. Jamie’s screams turn into more of a startled chuckle at that point. 

“I’m so sorry!” Jesse keens, putting his hands together and begging for forgiveness. “I swear, I was just about to say something and then you moved—by the Master–why do these things only happen to me–?!”

But Jamie’s less mad about being startled and more amused at how absurd things have become, laughing until Jesse calms down and joins him in chuckling too. When both of them have calmed down, Jamie hoists his backpack higher upon his shoulder.

“You...your name was...Jesse, right?”

“Yep! And you’re Jamie! I mean, it’s not too hard to remember—they’re almost the same name, and we’ve gotta the same initials on top of that, ahahaha...”

“Riiiiight...” Jamie clicks his tongue. “...soooo, why were you creeping around my locker in the first place?”

“I wasn’t—! Honestly, I just...wanted to check in with you, see how your first week of school has gone.” Jesse coughs, glancing away. Jamie shrugs, as there’s really not much to tell on that front. 

“It’s been fine, I guess. School is school...” Jamie pouts to himself, thinking that Jesse deserves at least a bit more than that. He’s been the only one to really talk to him, after all. “I...have thought about joining the photography club.”

“Oh, cool!” Jesse perks up like a flower, and Jamie finds the ends of his mouth curving upwards again. How rare. “They work closely with the newspaper club, and my friend Antonia is a part of it! Maybe you two could get talk some time? Antonia would definitely have a few connections in her back pocket.”

“...I’ll keep that in mind,” Jamie assures. Jesse grins, proceeding to elbow Jamie in the arm. 

“And who knows, with those mad photography skills you’ve already got, maybe one day you’ll be lucky enough to snap the elusive Fuchsia Ninja,” Jesse teases, wiggling his fingers around as he does. Jamie snorts, shaking his head.

“I doubt it, a lot of people are convinced he doesn’t even exist.” Jamie blinks, curious, as he suddenly finds Jesse’s eyes rather...intriguing, for a moment. They’ve always reminded him of his sister’s eyes, vibrant in both iris and pupil color, but unlike the infinite space his sister’s were filled with...Jesse’s eyes make him want to believe in magic, in the good things coming, in the idea life might just surprise him one day, and remind him that things aren’t always bad forever. 

But, that’s silly. A guy like him...wouldn’t be so lucky, right? 

And it’s like Jesse must be able to sense the lack of cheer in Jamie in that very instance—Jamie swears Jesse’s eyes spark a bit, but the moment’s missed as Jesse brings his hands up. He claps them twice, and then straight from his sleeve...he pulls out a single yellow daisy. It’s a bit bigger than a normal daisy, but Jamie chokes on air at the sight of it. 

That shade of yellow–his sister—he’d just been thinking of...how did this guy...?

“I’m a magician,” Jesse says with a wink, proving he must be able to read minds or something at this point. He present the flower out to Jamie with a shy shrug. “...and this is a trick I like to do for my friends, that’s all.” 

“...friends...?” Jamie whispers under his breath. Jesse nods, passing the flower off to Jamie. Jamie takes it like it’s made of gold. 

“Yup! Yellow flowers generally detonate a sense of friendship anyway, but this daisy in particular...is representative of the specific happiness that comes from building relationships with others.” 

Jamie’s jaw hangs open in shock. He stands there, just gaping at the daisy in his possession. Jesse snickers to himself, always reveling in the stupefaction of the targets of his tricks. It’s the best part of being the Master of Surprise.

“I just wanted to show you that, even if things are a bit of struggle right now, it won’t be long before you find people who you’ll be able to connect to...”

Jesse grins, winking once more.

“...and if I happen to be the first one of many, then, well, lucky me!” 

Suddenly overwhelmed with embarrassment, Jesse coughs, and somewhere in the midst of his sputtering he bids Jamie goodbye. Jamie snaps out of his daze at last, but in the time it takes him to blink, Jesse snaps his fingers–

–and he’s gone as quick as he appeared.

...heart racing, Jamie holds up the daisy once again, hard pressed to deny the warmth that’s currently blooming in his chest. It’s been a long time since he’s had such a simple, quirky, small act of kindness imposed upon him, to the point that it feels so foreign, and yet...it’s nice. Very nice. 

And unbeknownst to him, Jamie’s eyes start to glow a faint shade of pale yellow from joy.

(so sorry mutuals but some of these characters were named when i was in the third grade they need to go-)

there are a handful of these OCs (chris, ethan, tony, etc.) who are part of the main canon of this Currently Unnamed story, but had originally been created in a modern au *COUGH NINJAGO COUGH*

their names were fine in that context. however, the world that this story takes place in is drastically different from the semi-modern setting of ninjago cough ergo…. they no longer sit right

SOME OF THE ALTERATIONS THAT MIGHT PROBABLY BE CHANGING AGAIN SOMETIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE:

daku is definitely getting a whole new name. guranteed, at some point that’s gonna happen

i don’t know what it’s gonna be at ALL

but he was my first oc ever thus i have zero confidence that it wasn’t at least a little bit racist in its origin (i’m like 88% positive that name was pulled from google translate’s asscrack),

no matter how much i like the meanings of the name ‘daku’ in other languages i can’t ignore my sad little third grader attempt to sound japanese,

the sound of it does not suit his character at all, i can’t even come up with a face for him because of it,

i’m tired of it being compared to deku, shall i go on,

chrisanth, or chris, is getting only a minor name adjustment i say before rambling for a thousand years

because i love the idea of naming him after the chrysanthemum flower (i’ve seen too many of those this autumn)

AND the meaning of the particular name ‘chrysanth’ is fucking gorgeous (“golden flower, brilliant and precious flower like gold that glitters in the light” according to one (1) single webbed site) but the step between that name, ‘chrisanth’, and ‘chris’ feels too,,,, shhhhort????

and tbh i’m not sold on the nickname ‘chris’ anyway given the whole. weird japanese/middle eastern vibe-mashup that he has,

neither of which match a name that could be used for a white plumber—

ALTHOUGH, although although i did happen to stumble upon the name CHRYZANT which GREATLY appealed to my fondness for bizarrely-spelled names,

however i did not see any sources that said it meant the same thing as ‘chrysanth’, that it was a literal translation to the chrysanthemum flower,, it’s. not a problem at all rlly, that is what his name is literally based on like i said but i. i just like the other definition that one website gave me so much i don’t care if it’s bullshit i have to stick w/ it for now

❄️soundbyte❄️ -> based off of how the ninjago fandom actually makes up their ship names. was originally going to be tagged with “soundbyteshipping” but i felt like that was too long. soundbyte is a play on the fact they’re both robots, and how my s/i has the power of sound or, mainly, loud music!

🍌starting anew with you🍌 -> in selfship canon, yomiel actually breaks it off with fiancé sissel, because he tells her he wants her to move on and not have to wait for him for ten years in prison. he’s changed too much, and there’s things from his “past” he can’t bare keeping from her against her knowledge. this was all true, but it was also because in that erased painful timeline, he met someone new, and wanted to reunite with them.. wonder who that could be! (it’s me :3)

💼hey chicken tender!💼 -> created with the idea that parsley purposefully calls me chicken tender from the one goof up with “flower vender” becoming mixed up with “chicken tender”. it’s now just because an inside joke, and she’s still called that by him because she’s so obsessed with eating chicken tenders.

🎤the sound of your heart beeps🎤 -> a pun on “heart beat”, being changed into “heart beeps” because of the monitor always on his screen.

🎲dots and spots🎲 -> king dice has dice dots all over his head, and pupup has freckles!

HAHAHAHA THANK YOU FOR THIS MARVELOUS ASK that i got weeks ago lol sorry. I had some time to stew on it. Kinda. A lot of these are based on vibes and sorta kinda matchups based on their personalities and roles in the team

Dick - Jay. The funny guy in blue, with an association with the sky and flying motifs :^) Also Jay and Dick have the unconventional childhood trope going for them, (ie circus baby, junkyard baby)

Jason - Morro. Because of the angsty guy coming back from the dead to exact some sort of convoluted revenge upon his old mentor and his new pupil for varying degrees of nefarious reasoning trope. 

Cass - Skylor! Super good fighter, who’s the kid of an evil dude and wants to reject her parents and past mistakes and be a better person. 

Damian - Lloyd (but leaning a little more towards the season 1 vrs of him) in how one of their parents is a reluctant member of the dark side and leaves them in the hands of their good guy relatives and are now fated to be on opposing sides because they learned what love was spending time with this new family of ragtag vigilantes.

Steph - Kai. vibes. Also like… their whole personalities really line up well. And the really sweet sibling friendships with their respective formerly evil bratty lil bros.

Tim - Cole. He and Tim parallel in their relationship with their parents: Dead mom, and their dads who don't understand them, and they don’t want to wreck their already testy relationships with their fathers so they instead lie about not being vigilantes. Also they are the slightly less human disaster leader of a group of human disasters. (Cole with s1 ninja, Tim with yj)

Duke - Nya. Uhh dunno how to explain this one but, Him and Nya sort of started off as like, helping out their teams, but not really being a member. Nya was Samurai X and Duke was one of the We are Robin kids, so they were kinda on the outside, till they proved themselves  actually got to join the big team. IDK how to explain it? A lot of it is vibes.

Babs - Pixel. Well this mostly covers pre-s8 Pixal  but like, they’re both super integrated in the team and they’re the tech support-y ones. But they're super strong and try to expand past this designated role they're stuck with. (I don't think this really works for Batgirl Babs or Samurai X Pixal but idk this was the best matchup i could think of)

Average (Ninjago Zane X Reader)

No spoilers. Just something I wrote. :)

Believe it or not, you’re the only average person aboard the bounty. No elemental powers, no crazy super intelligence, you’re just a normal human being that happens to know the Ninja. How you met is also pretty normal, you just came across the dojo in search of directions and now you live on the bounty. Sensei Wu was intrigued by you, even if you were normal and kept insisting as such. 

“Normal comes in different shapes and sizes, but it’s always based on interpretation. You may find yourself to be normal, but others may think differently,” That’s what he said which convinced you to join, that and the fact he muttered under his breath that the Ninja need more social interactions besides their own tight knit group.

The Ninja were a little wary at first, which is understandable after all they’ve been through. But they came around eventually. You help them out whenever and however you can. Usually it’s small things like doing a chore or making sure the equipment was cleaned and safe for the Ninja. 

And it hasn’t gone unnoticed, after you’re done with a chore or whatever you’re doing to help out, one of the Ninja comes up to you and asks if you want to watch them train or want to play video games with them. Ah, bonding experiences.

While you were reminiscing on how close you’ve gotten to the Ninja, you walked to the kitchen to see if you could find something to eat when you noticed the fridge and cabinets were practically bare. 

Taking out your phone, you begin writing a list of things you need before texting Jay that you’ll be going to the store. He sends you a thumbs up emoji in response. You pocket your phone and walk out onto the deck, hop over the side and tumble onto the top of a building. Just because you live with the ninja, doesn’t mean you are one. 

You get up, dust yourself off, open the roof top and walk down the stairs until you’re on the busy streets of Ninjago city. You open Google Maps and begin walking to the closest store.

After around an hour and a half, you walked out of the store with a cartful of bags. You pull out your phone and begin texting Jay to come pick you up with the groceries when someone grabs you from behind, a hand covering your mouth. 

Fear flooded your system and you grabbed a hold of the assailants finger before pulling back on it HARD. A male scream rang through the parking lot as you slipped from his grasp and started running. You didn’t make it far before another person jumped out from the corner and swiftly punched you in the face. You stagger for a bit before your body hits the pavement and you soon lose consciousness.

You groan when you open your eyes and realize your body is stiff. You try to stretch but realize you're tied up. Great. And on top of that, a stinging pain is erupting from where you got punched. 

You look around and see that there’s a lot of people around. They’re all looking at you, so you can’t exactly try and figure out how to escape even if you wanted to. But you’re too terrified and shocked to be even thinking about escaping. 

In a matter of moments, a person emerges from the shadows of the dark room and approaches you with a grin. You could only stare in fear.

“Comfortable? I’d hope so since you’re our money bargain,” He taunted, so clearly he's the leader. Or maybe the right hand man? Again, you couldn’t tell. You swallow as best as you can and open your mouth to speak.

“Wh-What do you want?” You curse under your breath, stuttering and showing fear is what they want… But you can’t exactly help it. The people in the room begin cackling. 

“Sounds like someone’s not paying attention, ey gang? You’re a money ticket, and you’re also going to help us prove that we’re the only thing the ninja should care about,” He sneers while poking your forehead. Oh. OH. They’re THOSE kinds of bad guys, the overconfident ones. He backs away from you and looks to the others in the room. 

“Be on your guard, they ARE Ninja after all,” And with that he takes his leave. Okay, so this is good. It’s only a matter of time before the ninja find you. Either before or after the ransom call, it wouldn’t matter anyway. But… a small part of you worried they wouldn’t notice. 

You shake your head gently to get rid of those thoughts. They’d come. They always do. Your shaking slightly irritated your now bruising cheek which made you inhale sharply. A chorus of quiet chuckles scattered throughout the room.

Seconds pass, them minutes. You waited and waited… until you heard a wonderful sound. Something hitting one of the many gang members and them groaning in pain. You look around in hope.

“It’s the Ni- AGH!” They got kicked into the wall and got knocked out instantly. The entire room was filled with the sounds of fighting while you watched blurs fly around the room. In a matter of minutes, everyone was on the ground either groaning in pain or just flat out unconscious. 

“Y/N! Are you alright?!” Cole asks, taking off his hood and coming around to untie you while Zane looks around the room scanning their vitals to ensure no one was faking. 

“I’m alright, just glad you’re here,” You stretched after being released from your bonds. You meant what you said, you just wish you could’ve done more. 

“It seems everyone is down for the count. I have contacted the authorities to deal with them and their leader,” Zane approaches you two as he speaks and stares at you.

“You are injured,” Cole furrows his brows in slight confusion before checking and gasps.

“What the- You said you were alright!” Cole panicked a little (a lot), you smile sheepishly.

“I am, it just stings a bit is all,” Zane silently looks between you and Cole before speaking.

“We should return to the bounty. The others are worried for your safety,” He turns on his heel and begins to walk out despite Cole trying to protest. You awkwardly follow the two back to the bounty.

When you return to the bounty, you receive a lot of worried yelling from mostly everyone on the ship. Wu and Zane were able to quiet them before things got out of hand. 

“Zane, can you take care of Y/N’s injuries?” Wu asks, Zane opens his mouth to answer.

“Y/N WAS INJURED?!” Jay screeched.

“Who was it?! Let me at ‘em!” Nya yelled afterwards.

“Hey, at least leave some for me sis,” Kai adds. Zane sighs and gently takes your hand. He starts to slightly drag you away from the worried chaos that was the Ninja. You walk past the kitchen to see Lloyd was making dinner. He sees you both and waves before returning back to his task.

“How-” 

“It was the cart that led us to your location. I asked Jay, Kai and Lloyd to put away the groceries while Cole and I searched for you,” Zane explains as you enter the bathroom. He asks you to sit on the toilet and you do. Zane takes out the first aid kit and grabs the necessary supplies. He pours some hydrogen peroxide onto some cotton pads, turns to you and kneels. 

“This may sting,” He mutters before gently patting your bruised cheek, causing you to inhale sharply until the stinging stops. 

“Apologies,” He gets up and throws away the cotton pad, returning to the first aid kit and fishing out the appropriate bandaid and ointment. He applies the ointment on the bandaid before gently putting it on your cheek.

“Thank you Zane,” He nods as he puts away the first aid kit. 

“In the future, when you’re running errands please take one of us with you,” Zane comments politely.

“Oh. Yeah, I can understand why but…” You trail off, Zane raises a brow in confusion.

“But…?” 

“It feels like I’m wasting your time. I’m not like any of you and was only able to live on the ship because Wu thought it would be for the best. You all have big responsibilities to shoulder and I don’t want to make things more difficult for you,” Zane stares at you unsure of how to respond. You start to get uncomfortable and get up.

“S-Sorry, forget I said anything, yeah?” 

“No,” 

“Huh?” You look at Zane confused.

“No, I will not be simply forgetting something that you’ve seemed to be harboring for quite some time now. I do not believe you are wasting anyone’s time, in fact, time spent with you always makes the others and myself quite happy. You’re always making sure we’re alright and do what you think are the simplest of chores that we simply do not have time for. You brighten our world, Y/N. You always have and always will,” 

Zane smiles at you while you stare at him shocked but also happy. He opens his arms offering a hug and you take it, wrapping your arms around the robo boi. 

“Thank you Zane,” You mutter. He gently pats your head.

“It is no problem, Y/N,” You both separate and FINALLY exit the bathroom. The scent of Lloyd’s cooking enters your nose as soon as you leave the room.

“Looks like Lloyd’s done! Let’s go before Cole and Kai eat it all,” You joke, speed walking to the dining room. Zane follows with a confused smile, but a smile nonetheless.

Oh my god do I ever

The two of them didn’t have any proper time together while they were hypnotized (that we could see), and they never became stone warriors (they only came close) so I don’t think I’d be able to work off the comics. But if you don’t mind me going off my own headcanons 😳

If we want to go the serious route:

-Maybe the two of them get corrupted by some sort of relic (just to make the effects temporary because the thought of Kai and Cole actually turning evil hurts me) and now the others have to deal with two rampaging EMs who are being gay and doing crime

-Kai’s an arsonist and Cole cheers him on in the background whenever he lights something on fire

-Cole sends a shockwave through Ninjago City and Kai tells him how proud he is of him

-OK on a serious note? Maybe they’re like, a genuine threat because the EM of earth who can make Ninjago collapse in on itself if he tried hard enough paired up with the EM of fire who’s element is destructive enough as it is? Yeah, the others are going need to at least apprehend them as soon as possible

-Anyways powerful boyfriends are powerful

-Or maybe they aren’t boyfriends yet when they’re corrupted, but kind of just slip into it throughout their villain arc

-And then afterwards they’re like “so are we 😳” “I mean, if you want 😳”

-Sometimes Kai is reckless and accidentally burns a little too much, and when he does Cole simply picks him up and books it before the police can arrive

Or, if you want to go with the concept @ninjadont and I had come up with when the brainrot first hit

-Kai and Cole touch a magic seashell and turn evil

-They commit petty crimes like Lloyd did but instead they’re holding hands throughout most of it while the ninja chase after them

-They aren’t much of a threat but they have to be taken down anyways

-Kai accidentally burns his glove off while over using his fire and Cole gives him a new one as a gift

(They are about to commit some crimes)

Wait but for Into the Kaiverse, you mentioned them collecting more Kais, right? What other Kais would they collect?

Because idk if it’s what you have in mind but my brain is screaming ‘AUS’ at the top of it’s lungs so it’s just like-

— Modern no power au Kai who lives a normal life and is horrified by all of this crazy stuff that’s suddenly happening

— That Dragon Kai au you have so Kai’s a literal dragon and everyone else is like ??????? while Dragon!Kai is trying to figure out why there’s ‘Hunter’ versions of him-

— Based off of the previous one, maybe some kind of Oni Kai au (because then they could clash while the other Kais freak out and have no idea what to do)

— Some au where Kai is/was turned evil (and is possibly keeping that a secret so he can use the others to take over ALL the Ninjagos)

— Medieval au where Kai’s like a knight or something (idk if it would be funnier for it to be fantasy where he knows about magic or normal where he doesn’t and is screaming “WITCHCRAFT” the whole time-)

Again I have no idea if that’s the kind of thing you’re thinking of but I’m just finding the idea of really confused and VERY different au versions Kai trying to work together hilarious-

And the one thing they all have in common is that they all love their little brother Lloyd

okay so I actually was thinking of just. Mishmashing some of my AUs together, at the very least Merlopian Kai and Smith Swap Kai, but I like your idea a lot better.

Though quick idea for how I kinda wanted all of it to really start going. The short with Aki was sort of a prologue for the AU idea, that he was there in the world and wanted to make things difficult as well as wanting to find a way to essential stop any kind of realm travel, which as you can imagine would raise a few issues. At....some point during SPBNR Aki’ll end up getting his hands on this realm’s equivalent of a Realm Crystal or possibly another Relic but was stopped by Smith and Red(M!Kai), starting the whole issue. I am leaning toward another kind of relic, maybe something that binds to the user however since Aki is a clone it counts Smith, so maybe at some point they end up accidentally breaking it in half which allows Smith+Others to chase after Aki.

Anyway, onto what you’ve just brought up: I'll talk about them in order, and because why not let’s say that’s the order they get picked up in.

Love the idea of Modern Kai, assuming he still meets the team but through different circumstances. Maybe he still works in metal working, but yeah he’s very confused when someone looking like him only with paler skin and glowing eyes steps out of a freaking portal only to get tackled from behind by two other people who look weirdly like him. When he gets picked up they eventually decide to nickname him Nep, short for No Elemental Power

Next, I vote Merlopian and during the S7 time skip. This one actually happens because the three chased Aki, but lost him once they came through the portal. They decided to try and seek out this Universe’s ninja to see if they can help, which they do their best. All three of the Kai’s are like “You go into water?? Willingly????” They just call him Mer.

Next up, Dragon Kai, but with a slight twist. I was actually thinking of making an au of that au where Kai….never actually tries to go back to Ninjago and instead just vibes in the First Realm. He’s aware he’s different from the other dragons, but has no idea he used to be human, nor that he has a human family. So yeah. Lost Dragon.

ANYWAY HOW HE JOINS! When the Squad comes out of the portal, they at first think they’re in some kind of Post-Apocalyptic Type Universe which freaks them out a little bit, especially when they’re captured by the Hunters. However, similar to S9, Smith pulls a HTTYD and befriends the captive Fire Dragon, who is, you guessed it, this universe’s Kai. Once they find out he’s sentient, they end up throwing around names to call him and eventually they settle on Drake.

Next up, Oni Kai! This is technically also one of my AUs, but I’m just not finished with the info dump. Drake almost goes ballistic and they don’t know why for a while until he reveals himself as an Oni. He and Drake don’t get along very well but decide to put aside their differences since the fate of the Multiverse is at stake. They end up nicknaming him Willow, short for Will-o-wisp since his fire is….a little weird. Namely it’s purple and he can chose whether it burns people or not, and when he does want it to burn there ain’t nothing putting it out.

Next up, Smith Swap. Smol Kai go Brrrr and they all adopt him immediately. However, him joining the squad….didn’t happen in the best of ways. It was actually an accident. You see…..Aki may or may not have taken him hostage and stolen The Destiny’s Wish……y e a h.(his nickname is Ember because smol fire)

But then, they actually aren’t able to go after him immediately because while trying to get him back Smith got pretty hurt and Willow and Mer are tying to figure out their next move and then Drake had shifted back during the fight and is having a small identify crisis since his memories still aren’t completely back and it doesn’t help that Nya’s angry and Nep is freaking out and Red is trying desperately to hold them together and yeah it’s just a mess.

So it’s 2 weeks before they’re able to actually go anywhere, and that’s only because Smith ignored the doctor’s advice and only took the minimum rest period but the others all made him swear to take it easy and that they would handle all the fighting.

So they jump into the next universe to get him back, which is now the Medival one. For this one magic does exist but only a select few can do it. Medival Kai, who they eventually called Ruby because of reasons soon to be explained, is not aware he is one of these users.

However, let’s rewind a bit to when Ember and Aki first came here. Aki ends up causing quite a bit of issues since “hey this place is magic rich, they’re bound to have some ways to seal off all the realms” and thus ends up trying to kidnap several magic users of various kinds. Medival!Jay, Zane and Nya were actually among those captured.

Ofc, this extremely pisses off Ruby and starts taking steps to get them back. They know where his base is, but because Aki is coercing Ember by threatening the hostages(specifically Nya) there are some higher tech defenses which they don’t know how to counter. It also doesn’t help that Aki put vengestone everywhere so they can’t have magic users destroy the defenses.

That’s when the Kai’s show up.

Understandably the Medieval’s are suspicious, however they really want to get rid of this jerk. So they do and Smith is really upset he’s stuck on planning. It goes pretty well, they get the magic users, Ruby finds out “hey you have powers,” however Aki still gets away.

Now, this is getting really long, so I’ll do the next(and probably last) bit in another post
