obsessed with how in Danny Phantom

when the network (i presume) went to the show's writing staff and said, "love the show, but the kid's a superhero, give him a logo, we need a logo"

they clearly thought. but uhhh chief his super hero costume is the outfit he died in. we can't change it.

but they *had* to change it.

and instead of any half-dozen solutions i can think of off the top of my head (e.g. season 2 power up, take advantage of his already canonical light shapeshifting powers)

they went "okay so a ghost genie re-writes reality so he never met Sam and therefore neve rdied so Sam convinces him to die all over again but not before slapping her own home-made logo on his chest"

More possession stuff ^^

Sorry to all Lloyd fans but I couldn’t resist doing Kai and Morro, I love their parallels too much.

My interpretation of how a "Morro possesses Kai au" would be:

At first it's the usual possession but it's very violent since Kai has a bad temper. Morro agressively possesses him and breaks into Kai’s memories against his will.

But Kai is stubborn and angry and doesn't let Morro hurt Lloyd. So after the fight Morro digs deeper into Kai’s memories to see what he can use against him.

Morro finds himself relating to Kai and tries to manipulate him to betray the ninja and work with him (going as far as to showing Kai his memories)

Kai still refuses to hurt the ninja and shifts the narrative "why go after Lloyd when you can go after Wu?".

Kai basically learnt what Wu did to Morro and him and gets angry and wants to get revenge on him.

Morro is conflicted into what Wu did and his love for his only father figure. But Kai is also conflicted because on one side he relates to Morro but on the other Morro tried to use his body to hurt Lloyd. In the end I think Kai would choose his anger towards Wu and try to convince Morro even if he has to do so by manipulating him because as much as he's empathetic, he knows he can’t save Morro, and can’t get easily over the fact he wanted to harm Lloyd.

It would be interesting that at some point Morro had to fight Kai because he wanted to attack Wu and the ninja of course misinterpret it and still think of Morro as a villain.

To sum up they'd try to manipulate each other and end up exhausted from fighting the possession.

I love exploring the duality of broken villains.

Sometimes I think about how Kai made his way out of an inferno by accepting that being the green ninja wasn't meant for him but that didn't make him any lesser while Morro died in an inferno because he couldn't let go of the idea of being the green ninja and viewed it as his only source of worth. And then I lose it a little

Man, it must’ve been really tough for Lloyd in seasons 4&5 when he literally sees Kai almost get corrupted by the staff and then immediately to have to deal with Morro.

Like Lloyd witnessed Kai fighting for his sanity because he’d internalized the rejection of not being the Green Ninja. And then Lloyd sees that Morro actually did go kinda insane about the exact same thing.

And it’s all for a destiny Lloyd himself never asked for or wanted.

Idk it’s just Lloyd is slammed again and again with the fact that he’s the only one who never wanted to be the Green Ninja, yet he’s the only one who was always supposed to be the Green Ninja. And while that’s probably for a reason, it doesn’t make any of this any easier. Like Kai was so close to succumbing to his jealousy and Lloyd didn’t even know. And then for Lloyd to be tortured by someone was destroyed by that jealousy? Feels like salt in the wound.

Anyway, I’m just saying Lloyd (as always) handled that remarkably well.

Context : This is when Kai get the staff at the tournament of elements from Chen and started to att4cking lloyd. But I wanted to expand that scene to more angsty, ya know.

Also, Its been a while I havent done animatic, and the last time I did was 1 year ago, that I posted on Yt. So I really tried to make an effort to actually done it properly.
