Spencer was having an okay sort of day. Yes, it was a Monday, but despite all that, things had gone somewhat well. His classes had passed by smoothly, his students had asked all the right questions, and the heat in the building had come back on. The terrible cursed image you had set as his desktop screen seemed less cursed today, and none of his belongings had mysteriously disappeared, only to return later somewhere on your person.

Reid pondered that as he sat in his last class of the day. His students were discussing a new concept amongst themselves in the last few minutes, so he definitely had the time- until he didn’t. Before he could reach any epiphany, Spencer’s phone buzzed, vibrating so hard that it made the man jump.

In an instant, every eye in the room was on Spencer Reid, shocked and delighted that the notoriously technophobic professor’s phone was vibrating away during class. Spencer felt like he was twelve again. At least now, as a grown man and professor, he could dismiss the goddamned class.

He pretended he couldn’t feel their eyes on him as they filed out of the room- they weren’t judging him. Sometimes phones go BZZZZZZZZT in the middle of class, life’s just like that sometimes. No, his students were all starting with one specific thought on their minds.

“Whatever message that is, it’s 100% from Professor (L/N).”

And I mean. They weren’t wrong. A text from you shone out from Spencer’s phone, begging to be read.

(L/N) (The Nuisance): hey nerd, is there a paper on fight club in our office?

Before Spencer could respond, another little text bubble appeared on his screen.

(L/N) (The Nuisance): the book, not the movie

(L/N) (The Nuisance): actually, it’s kind of both? Nvm, just lmk if you see it

Spencer sighed, picked up his bag, and headed off to your shared office. He knew the paper you were talking about. It was the odd man out amongst papers about the criminalization of sex workers and the morals (or lack thereof) behind the war on drugs. In other words, it wasn’t something you or Reid would have assigned for a college class. It belonged to one of your GED students- so, when Spencer saw the paper sitting on the desk the previous Friday, he figured he’d leave it. You’d grab it, and you’d take it home, and that would be the end of it.

Now, Spencer was on a mission to get that paper back to you.

He was also on a mission to figure out what the fuck you were talking about.

A short ways away, at the community center, your phone buzzed.

Annoying Motherfucker: I know which paper you’re talking about. Would you like me to bring it over?

You had just enough time to fire off a, “Yes, please, thank,” before you turned back to the student whose paper you had so rudely lost.

“Okay, the paper is in my office, my coworker is bringing it over now.”

The student in front of you- a tall young man, Adam- remained silent. He only responded when you said his name.

“Tell ‘em to leave it.”

“What? Why?”

“Because I think this is a sign. The universe is telling me I’m not cut out for this. I’m not-” he cut himself off, turning away from you in shame.

“Hey, hey, look at me. You are cut out for this. Your paper was fantastic, I just-”

“You’re telling me my paper was so fantastic that you forgot it at your day job? That’s bullshit. Just be honest with me, Doctor. It wasn’t a good paper.”

“No- Adam, please, it was a fantastic paper. I left it in my office, yes, but that’s all on me. I’ll be honest, I might be a professor, but I’m kind of stupid-”

“If you’re kind of stupid, then what hope do I have? What am I supposed to do?”

You let out a small, sad breath, “You have all the hope in the world. You just have to keep trying.”

“Is that what you did? You tried?”

“I tried, yes. And I’ll be honest, I got lucky. I got scholarships and awards, but I had to try for them. You can do the same. You have potential. You have promise. You can-”

“Don’t tell me I can do anything I set my mind to. My parole officer told me that two days before my last arrest. It’s bullshit. It’s all bullshit. And you don’t know-”

“You’re right,” you sighed, leaning back against your desk, “I don’t know. I’ll never know your life, what it’s like to be you. But I know that you can accomplish great things. You’re smart, Adam. You have a great mind, you just-”

“My great mind told me to drive through the front door today.”

You froze. Adam continued.

“My great mind tells me to do awful, awful things. I spend half of my time fighting off those thoughts. What good am I, what can I accomplish if I have those bad fucking thoughts all the goddamned time?”

“Hey, hey,” you tried to soothe the man in front of you as he got louder and angrier- not at you, but at himself.

“And it’s not like I can say I know I won’t act on them. I have acted on them. That’s why I’m here, with you, in a community center getting my fucking GED. That’s why I was in prison, that’s why I’ll never be good at anything but being what I am now.”

You were already frozen, but somehow, you managed to freeze again- not because of Adam’s words, but because you could see Spencer’s face in the doorway.

You stood up straighter, instantly on edge. You weren’t sure how much of the conversation he had heard. You didn’t know if he would find something incriminating in Adam’s intrusive thoughts. You put yourself between the two.

“Hi, Reid. Do you have the paper?”

“I do. And I have to say, I’ve never seen Fight Club, but this is a fantastic analysis. Whoever wrote it clearly has a mind for the literary arts- and for the art of film.”

Your eyes widened slightly- of course, you knew that it was a fantastic analysis. You had complimented Adam on his work minutes before. You just weren’t sure what Spencer was about to do.

“If I may,” he stepped to your side so he could speak to Adam directly, “I kind of know what it’s like- to have bad thoughts that you can’t control.”

“Are you shitting me?” Adam asked, though his question was quiet. It was almost as if he was speaking to himself, asking who the fuck this spindly nerd was and why the fuck this spindly nerd was talking to him.

Honestly? You had similar questions.

Disregarding both of you, Spencer continued.

“The important thing to acknowledge is that there are no such things as good or bad thoughts. There are only good and bad actions. I can’t tell you that what you’ve done doesn’t matter. It does. But what matters more is what you’re going to do about it- what matters more is trying to be better. And this? Getting your diploma? That matters. That’s good.”

Spencer handed the paper over to Adam, “Hey, once you get your GED, let me know, okay? Dr. (L/N) will tell you where you can find me. I know a few people who could use literary analysis like yours.”

Before Adam could respond, Spencer had turned and started for the door. Before he left, he spared you a wave. You were too shocked to wave back.

Spencer left silence behind. You and Adam stood in the thick of it for a few moments. In those moments, a blush began to burn beneath the skin of your cheeks. Your heart jumped in your chest, playing a beat that was a little too fast. Surely, this meant nothing.

In those moments, Adam looked down at the paper in his hands. He read the little comments you had left in green pen.

After a few minutes, he looked up. He didn’t turn to face you just yet, but that didn’t stop you from seeing the grin lighting up his entire face.

“Shit, man. You really did like my analysis, huh?”

“I told you. I loved it.”

“Yeah, well,” Adam’s gaze returned to the pages in his hands. He flipped through for a second before barking out a laugh, “You spelled ‘artful’ wrong. You added an extra ‘L.’”

“Did I?” You asked, closing the space between you to peek at your own error, “Shit. Well, like I said, I’m kinda stupid. I’m pretty much a fraud. That guy, though? The skinny guy with the facts? He worked to get to where he is. He tried. We just have to do the same thing, and hopefully, things will get better.”

“Maybe. It’s, uh. I guess I have no choice but to try, huh?”

“I guess not,” you shrugged and smiled at Adam before stepping back towards your desk.

Adam fell silent, looking between you and the empty doorway for a good minute before he spoke again, “So, that was your coworker?”

“Mhmm. Yep, that’s the guy.”

“Dr. Reid, right?”

You raised an eyebrow, “Yeah, actually. You’ve heard of him somewhere?”

“From Missy, actually… Fuck, I think I owe her a fifty now. Shit.”

If you had been drinking something at that moment, you would’ve choked on it.

“Anyway, thanks Doc! I’ll see ya next week!”

Adam trotted out the door, all grins, not noticing how strangled your, “See you next week!” sounded.

Later that night, in the confines of your cozy and un-haunted apartment, you sent a text. Somewhere else, in his cozy and un-haunted apartment, Spencer’s phone buzzed.

(L/N) (The Nuisance): thank you, Spencer

(L/N) (The Nuisance): seriously. i owe you one

Annoying Motherfucker: Don’t mention it. I kind of understand where Adam was coming from, it wasn’t hard for me to say something nice.

You huffed.

(L/N) (The Nuisance): you have a hard time being nice to me!!

(L/N) (The Nuisance): usually

(L/N) (The Nuisance): today was an exception… but srsly, i owe you a favour

Annoying Motherfucker: And I am telling you, you are “srsly” fine.

You smiled down at your phone for a second before you turned off the screen and placed it down beside you.

And almost immediately, that fucker went BZZZZZZZZT.

Annoying Motherfucker: Actually, quick question- what does “nvm” mean? Also, what does “lmk” mean?

You couldn’t hold back your laugh.

(L/N) (The Nuisance): you seriously don’t know??? you knew what srsly meant, are you telling me you don’t know lmk???

Annoying Motherfucker: …

Annoying Motherfucker: *Thanks. You said “thank” earlier and it was bothering me.

(L/N) (The Nuisance): omg

You let out a wheeze.

Spencer wouldn’t tell you that he vaguely knew what “nvm” and “lmk” meant. He’d worked with Penelope Garcia for several years, he had to know. He just let you talk to him, texting away into the night.

Somewhere else in town, Adam handed Missy fifty dollars- and she promptly handed half of it to Frank. Frank then split the money with the woman sitting next to him, and so on and so forth until it was well and truly established that everyone in the place 1) knew about the infamous professors and their rivalry, and 2) wanted those professors to stop fighting and fuck already.

*Minor Spoilers* God, I know this is a particularly adaptable pairing but how does every AU just work with them? This setting is so far removed from canon and yet unmistakably them. Except hornier, much more horny. Like complete sluts they are in this.

So in this AU Crowley and Aziraphale are both Renaissance Faire performers. Ren Faires aren't exactly my thing, but when I was a senior in high school they filmed a (awful) movie at the Ren Faire near us and we spent weeks there as extras, during public hours and after. It was such a neat experience going slightly behind scenes (also because we got to meet Matthew Lillard and Christina Ricci). So I have a normie soft spot for them. This perfectly captured the atmosphere. Even down to the rainy days! The camaraderie and community was wonderful. It's not just a flimsy backdrop for the AU, it's a full fleshed out and lived in world. I don't want to spoil the ending, but something brings the entire group together and it was a wonderful scene. I love the Faire family they have made.

More than that, Aziraphale being a falconer and Crowley being a fire performer was thrilling and unique. They are both so competent at what they do and each have such an awe of each other's skills. Which just makes them even more horny for each other. Truly this is the one time where going to a haunted house as foreplay makes sense for them. I'm like, yep, that tracks. They have a wonderful relationship here, with real life problems. This story doesn't make up villains to create a Heaven/Hell type of separation for them, it's just normal life that keeps them apart. Eventually they will become each other's anchor and home. A safe place to land. Also thank you for giving them tattoos!!! I adore them tattooed

Lots of fun and lightly kinky sex here, so not one to read out and about. It's such a fun, lighthearted romance. The setting is such a wonder to explore. And now I'm craving a bread bowl....

second of all, yes. YES. eddie is fucking hot. undeniably so. it's a fact. like we all know this, but he doesn't really realize it yet, himself. he's insecure, awkward, and has next to no experience with anything romantic/sexual.

everything he's learned about sex, he's learned from watching porn, flipping through dirty magazines, and scrolling down to the depths of reddit forums.

everything he's learned about dating/flirting, he's learned from cheesy movies, late-night wikihow searches (i.e. how to get a boy to like you back? or how to kiss with tongue?), and observing from the sidelines when gareth tries to pick up chicks at 'the hideout'.

he's always been a weirdo, an outcast, a nerd. the kid in class that parent's warned their kids to stay away from. he never got invited to birthday parties, asked out to school dances, or heard through the grapevine that some boy or girl thought he was 'cute.'

quite the opposite.

boys made fun of him for having long hair, playing d&d, and doing drama.

girls sprinted in the opposite direction of him for cracking untimely jokes, walking on cafeteria tables, and saving bugs instead of squashing them.

so, eddie, now in his mid-twenties and long since graduated from high-school, doesn't exactly have much reason to think of himself as anything special to look at.

meanwhile, steve harrington has this whole community of people telling him how sexy he is. there isn't a singular inch of his body that hasn't been complimented a million times by strangers on the internet. he knows he's attractive. he knows he's hot. people in real life tell him so, too. they gravitate towards him at the club, kiss his neck and call him 'gorgeous,' ask him for his number when he wakes up hungover and in search of a decent breakfast sandwich.

but he's so fucking bored.

no one takes the time to get to know him past the highlighted hair, pouty lips, and belly ring.

no one asks him about his hobbies or interests outside of swallowing a ten-inch dildo down without gagging.

none of his fans care much about his taste in music, what movies he watches, or the deep-rooted wounds of his past.

so when they do finally meet--face to face over video chat--steve is blown away, because eddie's asking him all about himself (after he gets over the initial shock, of course). he's like a little kid at disneyland who just met mickey mouse for the first time.

he wants to know steve's favorite color, if he likes rollercoasters, what toppings he orders on his pizza.

it's not the deepest conversation, but it's a start and steve finds himself laughing, enjoying, and dreading what will happen once their call is over.

steve also catches onto eddie's insecurities pretty quickly.

when talking about himself, eddie makes constant self-deprecating comments. he's shy, hides behind his dark shadow of curls, and blushes bright red whenever steve says something complimentary.

time is running out. steve has to start his scheduled livestream soon and eddie is so adorable it hurts.

before he can think twice, the words are falling out of his mouth and he's licking over his glossed lips to seal their fate.

'you're so hot. i wanna ride your face until you can't breathe,' he says with a choked little moan....

and that's all i'm saying for now, bc pt. 2 of the full fic is on it's way and i don't want to spoil anything more before then, but this message gave me some great ideas for how i might want it to go so thank you anon !! loved responding to this one 🤗🧡

things i wish we could all stop fighting about:

1. bi mike vs. gay mike nonsense. believe what you want, but canon Mike dates El and we have not been shown anything else as of yet besides some subtext and hints towards him being queer. Until then...none of us know. until then...THEY ARE BOTH valid depending on how you read the character and the writing. i personally lean towards bi, but i generally believe in the show, if they go for mike being queer, he could most definitely be gay. if mike wheeler came out in the first episode and told me he is the gayest man to walk the planet i would be like....uhm yes. but also....if he’s a men leaning bi character or whatever other combination of bi he might be...i’ll also believe it. in the end, imo, if it’s made clear that he is queer and in love with will, his sexuality will probably not be labeled neatly with a bow on it anyway. so the entirety of the arguing is stupid.

2. the fact that teenagers may or may not have sexual desire and attraction and act on those instincts in some way makes people who discuss or explore it in writing somehow disgusting. it’s not. (ie. talking about the “hose scene” is valid, writing about teenagers feeling desire for the person they have a crush on is normal.) sex is normal. sexual desire is normal. it starting to happen as you go through puberty is normal. to deny this fact or make people feel weird about talking about is doing every teenager in this fandom that experiences sexual attraction and desire a very large disservice. there is nothing shameful about it. there is something shameful about making someone else feel disgusting for their completely normal feelings because they make you uncomfortable. and every show/film/book written about teenagers and their sexual lives has been written by someone who is mostly likely over the age of 18. so to say that fanfic writers or people who are in fandom discourse are somehow deviants is the most insane argument i have ever read in my entire life.

3. things such as pointing out how mike may have issues with food, el may be behind her peers in being able to handle a more adult romantic relationship, lucas facing racism, and will dealing with trauma that mimics sexual abuse are all legitimate and worthy of discussion. whether it makes people uncomfortable or not. these are topics that have been brought up/alluded to in the show, and they’re allowed to be talked about by the fans.

ok i lied. there are four.

4. stop shitting on people for their headcanons. if someone wants to headcanon will as asexual and homo-romantic there is nothing wrong with that. if someone wants steve harrington to be bisexual, there is nothing wrong with that. if someone wants max to be poly there’s nothing wrong with that. believe me, the people who headcanon this are usually very aware that it is not canon. we all watch the show. but if it’s fun for them to explore that with a character in writing or art or discussion then cool. it’s adding layers to the conversation around these characters and is valid. snidely saying you’ll block someone for a fucking headcanon is wild to me. i am all for blocking things that make you uncomfortable or if someone just annoys you....sure. great. but blocking every single person who disagrees with you is so silly to me because you are making your garden very small. it’s important in discourse to engage with people who have different opinions than you. as long as everyone stays respectful i encourage people with different opinions to interact with me. PLEASE. it’s the entire point of joining an online community. we bond over something we love and then have discussions about it.

Honestly, if you want my opinion? I think this whole thing is so stupid, because how is it that after all these months Kit STILL has queerbaiting allegations??

First of all, STOP. ASSUMING. KIT'S (OR ANYONE'S). SEXUALITY. PLEASE. How many more times must the poor guy say that he's comfortable with his own sexuality and just doesn't want to disclose it to the public for personal reasons for people to LEAVE HIM ALONE. Like my god, how can someone watch a show like heartstopper then immediately start contributing to this toxic culture of forcing people out of the closet for your own selfish reasons? There's literally a whole storyline of how badly affected Charlie Spring was after being outed, but that CLEARLY flew over their heads for some reason. It's ridiculous. We're not his friends. We're not his family. We. Are. Just. Fans. We are entitled to ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about his personal life.

Secondly, if for all those who are just so insistent that Kit just HAS to be straight because he held hands with someone of the opposite sex, and therefore should not be playing a queer character, do you even hear yourselves? I've already spoken in depth about my views on straight actors playing queer characters, my general message being that I think it's completely fine so long as they have been handling it respectfully and giving the community the respect it deserves, something I believe Kit has done wonderfully. But more than that, what's up with this weird assumption that someone is definitely heterosexual if they are in a heterosexual relationship??? There is more to sexuality than gay or straight. Take Maia for example. She is openly part of the LGBTQ community, so are y'all going to tell her she's straight and has been lying the whole time, simply because of that few second clip? I DIDN'T THINK SO. This is literally just promoting bi erasure, pan erasure, erasure of any sexuality that isn't simply attracted to the same sex (AND ON BISEXUAL VISIBILITY MONTH TOO???). Once again, how did you watch heartstopper, hear nick nelson say "I still like girls, but I like boys too." AND THEN GO AND DO THIS. I'm convinced some of these people just didn't watch the show and became fans through tiktok edits or something.

Finally, say that they are dating. So what? How does Kit and Maia's personal relationship affect Kit's job as an actor in heartstopper in any way shape or form? Were these people expecting Joe and Kit to get married or something? Or for neither of them to be in relationships with other people ever? I know that they're both the perfect portrayals of Nick and Charlie, but at the end of the day THESE ARE CHARACTERS THAT THEY ARE PLAYING. None of the relationships in shows or movies, romantic especially, need to be translated to real life for us to enjoy the work. If you're that type of person, then by that logic Kit and Maia are technically bringing on screen romance off screen, since they're starring in ACGGTTAT together. Seriously, you can't expect actors to bring every single romantic relationship they portray on screen into real life, that's entirely unrealistic. Also, while I understand the curiosity behind our faves' relationship statuses, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't guilty of that, at the end of the day it's really none of our business (going back to the point of how we are just fans and are owed nothing by public figures). If they're dating, that's great, I'm happy for them. If they're not? Also cool, we love to see a wholesome friendship. Speculate if you must, but don't go digging around the internet for evidence or god forbid, start harassing Kit or Maia about this. Just keep your theories to yourself or at most talk about it casually in a little chat with friends or something. Let's not blow this up into a huge thing and just let them be yeah?

So that's my two cents on this whole situation. Dating or not, I can't wait to see them both in ACGGTTAT, and ofc, I can't wait for season 2 of heartstopper <3

-You two keep your intimate moments behind the doors, though you do love to steal kisses from him here and then –flustering him so much that his ears get red.

-Behind the doors, things get more passionate. You found out your sweet Lindir possesses some dominance. You would sometimes be left breathless by Lindir when he suddenly latches his arms around your head and kisses you first, especially when there was pent-up stress.

-It was a surprise when he did it the first time, but it didn’t mean you did not enjoy it. Lindir was sometimes shy to show that side of him, fearing he might appear needy, but you reassured him it was alright because you’re always down to be the bottom if he felt like being on top.

-Saying that constantly earns you a smack on the head.

-Whenever you had to leave and join a battle. Lindir often feared you would return injured or didn’t return at all.

-You have both seen and lost many people, so losing you would break him.

-You would assure him you would be fine and always return to him because no force in Middle Earth could keep you away from him. You would only leave Middle Earth on a boat with him when it was time to return to Valinor and live your lives together on the undying lands till the end of times.

Is it strange or even.. "wrong" that I'm a gay man who's questioning if he might be bisexual, and considering searching out a very butch bi woman to experiment with? I think my attraction might be fully based on masculine presentation, rather than gender, but hell I don't even know if bi butch he/hims exist lol. Sorry for the weird question! I know it feels weird to question yourself after thinking you had it figured out but the truth is, human sexuality can be confusing in a world where a lot of mixed signals are embedded in our culture and sometimes even worse with in our greater LGBT+ community. There is often a lot of pressure to "pick a side".

Moreso than when I when I was coming out in the 1990's there is a lot of shame and judgment placed on people who experiment or are curious about sexual experience outside of what sexuality they eventually land on. It was (and is) common for lesbians and gay men I "grew up" with in my 20's to have a past that involved dating, marrying or having sex with the opposite sex before finally understanding their sexual and emotional attraction to the same sex. Some people never need that experience, others are curious and still others need to see what the "other" is all about in order to come to terms with their sexuality. None of these decisions are bad. Past actions do not define our sexuality but can sometimes be the calalyst that makes us see the truth.

I believe, based on myself and my friends and years of talking to many people, that our sexuality is innate but that doesn't mean we all understand it from the beginning. We aren't given a manual and the human experience is often one that involves trial and error to figure things out. And that includes discovering the difference between sexual and emotional fulfillment and just tolerating something because we think we are supposed to like it.

I also believe that butch is a lesbian word and only applies to lesbians but I think I understand what you are saying. There are plenty of masc (masculine) straight and bi women out there. There are definitely a wide variety of people who would fit that look/energy you are looking for.

My advice is to be honest with them, even if not too specific. Let any potential partner know you are not interested in a relationship and you are sort of in an experimental phase and let them decide if you are the right fit for them at the moment.

Any one who shames you for making this very personal decision is wrong in doing so. Life is too short to deny ourselves of experimentation and experiences as long as we are not harming others.

You might gain some clarity as you go on this new adventure in life. Be honest with yourself and don't bend to the pressure of external forces. Your sexual and emotional happiness is important and you are wothy of living it to the fullest.

admittedly i'm very angry every day, it's impossible to quell the anger. that's honestly why i do what i do- i put a lot of my time and effort into helping people get access to resources and get the help that they need because now more than ever we need solidarity and knowledge more than anything

if you're able to, work with your local trans and/or queer community especially, see what you can do to help people you can directly affect. if you are disabled or homeless or struggle with getting out and helping in person i understand, that's not always doable.

some people find success in helping pass along resources online. you can organize chats and facebook groups and things of the like for local queers and help pass along information about informed consent clinics, planned parenthood, local endocrinologists and sex reassignment surgeons, gender affirming care resources, etc. even as so much as sending a few emails with resources to someone can change their life

i am very scatter brained so admittedly i'm not great at figuring out how to affect the legal side of things yet. i do not work well with authority figures and i can't figure out how to stay civil and sane while thinking about the disgusting tyranny we are now living under. my best advice is to try to get people to safety and resources. i don't really know much about contacting senators. if anyone does feel free to pitch in, but this is where i struggle. see if you can organize a protest if possible, that may be a good place to start

anyway, if none of those things are your cup of tea, just be yourself unabashedly. i wear drag every single time i leave my home now. i wear wigs and makeup and garish outfits and let people know i am not cis at every opportunity. i cover myself in trans flags and pronoun pins and am very uncaring of whatever assholes may try to fuck with me. sometimes being brave and being yourself helps others, too

i hope like, any of that helped. i am also very angry right now and i understand, there is a fire under my ass that i cannot ignore, this is absurd. thanks for reaching out, take care, i hope you feel better soon

madara mikejima is the guy who would be at your service at all times— no questions just pure devotion. for as long as he is around you, you might as well say you have your own personal assistant. theres so many examples of him doing stuff for others and i will never shut up abt his fs1 where anzu was like hey what if your exclusive outfit was just a loincloth and he was on board purely bc she likes it. HE HAS 0 SHAME IN DOING EVERYTHING YOU SAY. NONE. YOU COULD ASK HIM TO BARK AND HE WILL. when that guy loves someone, he craves them with his entire being and desires nothing more than to be in their life.

he's also not above just. asking for a fwb situation. he wouldn't be so blunt about it, but it'd be a slow coercing. mama isn't above lying about his motives either. maybe he sees you're stressed and hey. let him massage your shoulders. lay down. oh your back is just tense huh? and it escalates until he's just fucking you with reckless abandon. well your stress is gone now so he offers to make this a regular thing. no strings attached and no worries. he just wants to make you relaxed.

here's where it gets messy. mama is also out of town a lot for work. he goes overseas, just touring around. but bc he spends every waking moment he is in town attached to your hip, his absence is so. prominent. and god it feels so awful not seeing him. phone calls arent enough. good morning and goodnight texts are sporadic because he's so busy. you miss having mama around to hold you while you do work.

and it's not great for him either. he's constantly worried about you. he can't get you out of his head. when he finally gets back it's like he's moved heaven and earth buying you various trinkets that reminded him of you (some even extremely rare and valuable since... he just collects those things anyway)

just. intense back and forth of hapoiness being with him every single day to devastating loneliness whenever he leaves. each time he comes back, ofc intense welcome home sex ensues. but it never goes past the fwb stage. any deeper feelings he's harboured are shoved aside and he grows distant when he feels like you want to get even closer. he always wants what he can't have. and he'd rather you not be caught up in whatever bullshit he goes through so he lies to himself saying he's content with meaningless sex and just doing things for you. even when you have consumed his entire thoughts. yet he's unaware that you are much the same. craving him more and more that you wanna get through to him. but HIS FUCKASS LONESOME WAYS MAKES YOU HESITATE. SO YALL JUST GO NOWHERE. AND ITS JUST A "what are we?" LOOP

mf.... madara just will not communicate. he can't go beyond superficial desires and acts of service because it scares him to face the fact these feelings have grown wildly out of control. it scares him because the moment he does, he fears his own self destructive tendencies will take over and he'll just ruin everything. whats more is that imo i think he would still unconsciously do things like distance himself, not speak to you for days even after coming back as like a way for you to grow to resent him. that way if things crumble he can just say oh the signs were there as if he didn't put those flags up himself.

Madara Mikejima, King of Miscommunication. He adores you and puts you on such a high pedestal that it becomes nearly impossible to convince him to stand by your side as your equal. He believes that you deserve better so much but he's also too selfish to give you up. He's not worthy of you, but neither is anyone else.

He wants the emotional intimacy. He wants the domesticity. He wants everything. Hell, he probably indulges in these things pretty often in a FWB relationship, but he can't ever tie you down. The moment he gets the inclination that you're getting too attached, he runs. When you're truly in a time of need he will always be there for you but otherwise he's as fickle as the wind.

I did! But I can't find it which is fine bc it came to my attention the mercury can be no more than one sign from your sun and your venus can be no more than two signs away from your sun as well

- Taurus Rising

- Sagittarius Sun

- Scorpio Venus

⬆️ I hc him as a Taurus Rising bc it would make his chart line up with I think scorpio 7th house which fits him perfectly imo on how he bonds with others and what he brings to a relationship and probably craves in a partnership. AND Bill Paxton looks like such a Taurus Male that Severen has to have it in his chart somewhere lol. Besides, when he's not trying to get ppls attention he's very chill and stoic like what we see in the camper when Caleb wakes up. Earth risings can be intimidating when you don't know them so it still fits to me. They're Practical, Stubborn and Confident.

🪐 Aries Mercury I won't budge too much on either. Istg we DO NOT focus on the mercury like we should! It's your humor, work ethic, view of the world, communication....HELLO? That is a very big thing just like the rising yet it gets overlooked sm! I almost could see him as a Leo mercury BUT I still choose Aries. And even though he is egotistical; I have multiple Aries Mercury and Leo Mercury's in my life. They are very similar but still different. They both have strong opinions, both are blunt, both are arrogant in their own ways but a Leo Mercury is more likely to be more warm and they do consider things when speaking because they care how people view them. They are regal in that way...Aries? As a Capricorn Mercury; I love them ♡ they just let their impulsive thoughts win every time and truly don't care what others think ☠️ And a Leo Mercury views things as a 'stage' to preform on while Aries looks at it as a 'sporting event' where everything is a challenge. My cousin is an Aries Merc and she will play a game till she wins or cheats while my leo merc uncle and sister will argue right away that the game is dumb if they don't win on the first try then deny that they thought that way...Leo is gonna think it's below them, Aries is gonna keep going till they win even if they cheat that is as Severen as it gets.

🖤 - Scorpio Venus. Your venus is your style, what you find appealing, how you love, how you have sex (I follow traditional astrology where Venus THE GODDESS OF LOVE AND LUST is the ruler of ur sexlife while Mars THE GOD OF WAR AND ACTION is just that. Modern astrology equating passion/action with sex never sat right with me. Sex is technically your venus and mars combined but the venus is how you love and that includes in bed but anyways-)

Severen dresses dark, edgy and bold. If he isn't a Scorpio Venus then he is a Scorpio Rising Ong. Venus is ALL relationships and He shows an intense loyalty to his family to the point he risks his life for them. Scorpio Venus's are ride or dies. We do anything for our loved ones, I should know, I'm one too and I see a lot of Severen's choices and reactions involving others in myself good and bad. Like him wanting revenge against Caleb for 'betraying' them? Hate to say it but yeah. Scorpio is ruled by Mars and in Venus it makes us intense and if Severen has an Aries Stellium it makes it ten times worse. Once slighted he is prone to being vindictive and intense and it takes a lot for him to trust you but once he does? He'll do anything for you and protect you. In love, he is possessive, protective, passionate, and intense. Like, he is probably toxic and possessive even if he doesn't show it. He is insisting on being with his partner every night hunting and if they want alone time he's stalking them without them knowing to 'protect them' and he is protective! Anyone that would look at his family crossways gets it so can you imagine his partner? Scorpio Venus excludes everyone but their people/person and are loyal for life. (Which is why he was so enraged at Caleb betraying them after he gave him his spur and let his guard down)

I ALMOST put Aries Venus because they can be so similar with both ruled by Mars but Aries Venus falls quickly and intense which COULD be Sev but considering Sev I still see Scorpio. Aries is more likly to chase the red flags because they crave an exciting partner as a Scorpio venus we ARE the red flags. I could see Aries Venus or Scorpio Venus but he seems more reluctant to trust friendships than an Aries Venus is imo. Considering Sev is the ONLY one not actively in or looking for a partner in Near Dark and has very few people he seems to care about I'm sticking with Scorpio for now.

🔥 - Aries Mars I wont budge on either. That man would punch God or the Devil in the face if he could. Fearless, Brazen, Bold, Quick Tempered, Leaps into Action. We saw first hand he gets pissed and explosive like when he had to be held back by Jesse before he ripped Caleb's head off for hurting Mae by drinking from her (Scorpio Venus shining through again im js) and he got over it just as quickly at the bar that very night.

Hiiii I’m in my AU feels today. Could I talk about Lexi & Nico + Emma & timo? What’re the biggest struggles for them in pregnancy/first few months after the babies are born? How do the hubbies handle it?

Emma and Timo: We see a brief glimpse of Lio when he is a few weeks old through Part 6. Timo and Em get married. Life is good. They are in bliss. However, they are not in bliss when Lio starts teething and Timo is on the road. It’s January. It’s cold. There is snow. And Lio will not sleep unless he is on top of Emma. Timo comes home from a Midwest road trip at 2:30am and finds Emma sitting up in bed with Lio sprawled out on her lap. He makes eye contact with Emma who immediately starts sobbing.

“I know, baby.” He says, walking to her side of the bed. He leans down to grab Lio, kissing her tightening cheek.

“I’m so tired, T.” She whimpers. “Every time I put him in his crib he wakes up! I can’t even think straight anymore.” She gets on her knees, whining when he stands up with Lio. “No.”

“Babe. Let me try.” He soothes her. “I’ll be right back.”

Emma’s face is buried in her hands when he returns without Lio. He is still in his game day suit when he scoots her over into the bed and gathers her into his arms.

“This is tough right now.” He acknowledges. She nods her head, sniffing. “And I’m gone a lot.” She shoves her nose into his suit jacket. “But you are doing an amazing job.” He kisses her hair. “I am so grateful for you.”

Lexi and Nico: These two were born to be parents.They just slipped right into parenthood like nothing was hard. Lucie slept through the night immediately. She did great at feedings. She was perfect. Nico and Lexi co-parent and communicate so well.

Lexi had a hard time with feeling beautiful after Lucie. We see some of that in the previous blurbs when she talked to Em about being nervous to have sex again. Also when they finally do have sex and she almost wants to back out because she is insecure about her looks. Nico is having none of it. He is constantly reaffirming how beautiful she is. He urges her to stop working out so hard when she gets the green light. Her insecurities effects her appetite. He is constantly shoving food in her hands when she is nursing Lexi. Once and a while, he takes a special trip to a bakery in Manhattan after practice to get a cupcake they shared on one of their early dates. He knows how much she loves that cream cheese frosting.

“I shouldn’t eat this.” Lexi says from the couch, holding the dessert above their nursing daughter.

“Baby, that’s your favorite. And you deserve that cupcake… been doing such a good job taking care of our baby.”

“Yeah, but it’s going to take me forever to run this off on the treadmill.”

“You are perfect. Eat the cupcake.”

Lexi has one bite and then insists that is enough. Nico can’t help but frown as he puts it back into it’s container for a different time.

Thankfully, Nico and Timo have each other. They spend plenty of time navigating parenthood together- on the plane, in the locker room, during morning skates when they’re flipping the puck back and forth.

“You having sex with your wife again?” Timo smirks at Nico.

“Yeah.” Nico grins wildly back at him, not even blushing about the things he did to Lexi before he left. He can still taste a bit of her.

“Me too.” Nico scoffs, still irked at hearing about him and his sister.

“Lio is basically two.”

Golly, what a sweet post! You've definitely succeeded in proving your point, because that was a wonderful story. It had a great fun energy and a lot of moments that made me laugh (Lena reading Kara's article! Kara's "fascinating factoid"!) and reading it made me feel happy. And oh, yeah, Lena's husky "I like to listen to the way my words affect her" might be the sexiest coming-out moment I've ever read. And the way you wrote her body and her reactions in bed was hooooot. Like, I'll-be-re-reading-those-parts hot. So yeah, who cares that there was no riveting legal thriller plot?? You delivered anyway. I'm so glad you're having a great week and loving life and writing. You're a gift to this great community, with your writing AND your art (that recent one of Kara hugging Lena and telling her was a personal favourite, I love protective love and h/c). it is SO BAD i 100% agree but that was also very much the point from the beginning 😌 i told my wife & proofreader last weekend how i was about to inflict an entirely new & already completely finished fic on her instead of the next chapter of Soup and that all i needed to wrap it up was one final, terrible pun. and when i got back from the shower i took about it, she had sent me a voice message with a bunch of GREAT existing ones like ‘did you forget i teach third grade?!’ and i had to tell her none of them would work because they were TOO HILARIOUS and also it would need to refer to lena luthor and supergirl having sex

DS9 S2E16 - Shadowplay

This episode was so sweet! I'm not sure if I'd say this is my favorite of Odo so far but its definitely one of the top five. I am a little unsure on how much "Odo is a real boy" that I can take, though, especially since we just did that whole deal with Data. It feels different enough that I'm not actually too bothered by it yet but it is sorta pulling my out of the story each time so we'll see if I get sick of it lol

I hadn't considered a whole society of holograms and the folks really took it extremely well, all things considered, but it was overall a nice episode, I think. Personally if someone said I was living in some kind of simulation or if I wasn't real I'd probably start walking around screaming "end program" to shut it down, but that's very much just a me thing.

Because of the weird acceptance and a few other things (Kira's investigation/hunt to stop Quark, Kiara's sex life, etc) that made the pacing on this episode to me. I mean, it was fine, I was engaging with it no issue but it did feel like it jumped around a bit.

On a side note: Bashir mentioning how Garak is teaching him spy stuff made me squee. The boyfriends are too cute.

Before the reveal of holograms, I kind of thought they were in some kind of city with an invisible barrier and the others had left. By force, by weird subconscious impulse, or completely voluntary, that part was uncertain, but I would not have guessed holograms.

Odo with Taya was adorable af and it started out so subtle. He seemed more or less indifferent towards her just like he is with most people and then she basically made him her best friend and he melted into the goo he is. It was super sweet. And I'm glad he shifted for her eventually. Even if she wasn't real, he grew attached.

In a way this episode kind of reminded me of the TNG episode where Data has been communicating with the alien child and he saves her from the erupting volcano planet but then has to wipe her memory of him. This time, though, Odo gets to keep his friend (that we'll probably never see again lol)

On the subplot side of things, I want to once again shout from the rooftops how good of a man and dad Benjamin Sisko is. He may have been pushing for Jake to get a job, which I find to be a little ick but experience is a great thing to have and a station like DS9 really can use all hands on deck sometimes, but he listens to his kid. Jake had every right to be nervous about admitting he didn't want to follow in his dads footsteps because life changing conversations like that are scary, but the way Sisko reacted? He didn't yell, his questions were all gentle and none of them were aggressive, leading, or accusatory, and it was clear that all of his attention was directed towards making sure Jake was happy. I love their relationship so much.

I also want to say Miles is a great dad/going to be a great dad when Molly is old enough for these kinds of conversations too. The way he helped Jake find the courage to talk to Sisko was sweet. And he was super patient with him while he learned a skill he knew next to nothing about.

All episodes should be character building but there are sometimes specific ones you can point to and show where the dynamics change and I think this is one of them.

7/10 - I was hesitant with this one but the character stuff was too good to mark any lower, I think

Maxwell Archie Walker, known as Max, was born into the affluent Walker family as the older twin, with his brother Maddox James Walker arriving just minutes behind him. Their parents, Amanda and Andrew Walker, instilled in them the values of propriety, education, and strict adherence to Christian beliefs. The Walkers were well-respected in their community, and the twins were expected to uphold the family's reputation with utmost dedication.

From a young age, Max found solace and purpose in sports, thanks to his father's involvement in coaching the local team. He excelled on the field, bringing pride and joy to his family while also using it as an escape from the suffocating expectations placed upon him. However, as Max's talent in sports began to draw attention, his father pushed him relentlessly towards greater success, while his mother insisted on academic excellence, harboring dreams of him becoming a doctor.

Amidst the pressure to fulfill his parents' aspirations, Max grappled with his own identity, particularly his conflicting feelings towards the same sex. Knowing that his parents' strict religious beliefs condemned homosexuality, Max buried his emotions deep within himself, hoping they would disappear. Following his parents example, he stop going by Max to go by "Archie" to distance himself from his brother and the incident.

With Maddox gone, Max became the sole focus of his family's expectations and aspirations. The weight of carrying their hopes, coupled with the burden of his own secrets, fueled Max's anxiety and paranoia. He developed a facade of arrogance and superiority to shield himself from vulnerability, ensuring his popularity and legacy remained intact.

To navigate and get control of his own lies and secret, Max honed his skills in reading people's body language, becoming adept at discerning truth from lies. while also dealing with a pervasive sense of paranoia and anxiety, constantly questioning the motives and allegiances of those around him. Yet, beneath his arrogant and cocky exterior lies a broken anxious individual, who is plagued by fear and consequences.

Max continues to navigate the delicate balance between maintaining his facade of perfection and confronting the demons of his past, all while grappling with his own identity and desires, unsure if he'll ever find peace in a world where he's constantly hiding.
