honestly, you, your anons and others jkrrs bloggers r getting too comfortable talking those things about tae AND the members relationship with eo. I think is such a weird move to talk those things about someone that u dont even know, for reasons that u dont even know, even tho jm and jk (the ones that actually knows tae) dont seem to have a problem with none of this. We are in 2023, chapter 2 for more than a year, and we dont get to see the members life anymore. When a member is doing solo things, all we see the others doing is posting/doing live on their public, PROFESSIONAL, social media accs, sometimes mentioning one another, sometimes not. They r supposed to focus on their individuality in this chapter, and to do so, we dont get to see them together anymore. So, why r yall feeling so entitled to say what is happening behind close doors? How can u say that xyz member r no longer close when WE DONT SEE SHIT these days? If we dont see them talking to eo in their PROFESSIONAL socmed acc, this means what exactly? U dont know, i dont know, only them know. And there is a reason for this. I'm sure they fight, they have their problems, but these day WE DONT KNOW, DO WE? Lets normalize having opinions and making those type of statement about the members of BTS and their relationship with eo only when we have enough evidences to do so, what do u think? Because when u shade someone that u dont even know personally, that u dont even see the motivations behind their actions, just because U THINK theres something going on, what does that make u? Rm, Jin, Suga, Jhope, Jimin, V and Jungkook know eo for more than 10 years. They gone through things we can't even imagine, together, supporting one another. But suddenly, in this chapter 2, u and so many are getting sooooo comfortable in forgetting all of this and r questioning their bond, even tho we know nothing. U r so in a fanfic mode that u really believe that jimin is no longer close to tae because of the shit tkkrs do? U really believe that tae, who knows jk since he was 13, is really using him just to what??? feed his stupid fans? As if he doesnt know and love jk for almost half his life? U believe and agree with your anons when they SPECULATE about xyz members dont getting along anymore, x member dont giving a shit about BTS anymore. But i ask u, WHERE R THOSE EVIDENCES TO SUPPORT THIS BELIEF?? Really, where r yall seeing all of those things to confirm this suspicions? I want to know, because these day we r getting nothing, and when they talk about eo, is with love, saying how much they miss being a team. "Ohhh, because jk didnt want to sing a BTS song". So what? Is this yall evidence? Because tae hangs out public with wooga squad? He hang out PUBLICLY with jk sometimes too, and he is part of BTS, as long as i know. He hang out PUBLICLY with jhope too before he enlisted. I'm sure he hangs out with all of them who arent in the ms, we just dont see it. And maybe this is all true. They r no longer close, they dont like eo anymore (except jimin and jk), they dont want to be a part of BTS anymore. Tae is using jk to feed his shippers, so jm doesnt like tae anymore. But, for now, WE DONT KNOW THAT!!!! WE DONT SEE SHIT!!! So, i think we all should start to remember our place as fans. When we start to get footage of members seeing eo, talking to eo, like we did in the past, then we will have enough, not complete, evidences of the status of their relationship with eo. Until that day arrives, yall r basiclly writing fanfics, and worst, letting it changing the way u see BTS and even letting u get too comfortable shading people that jm and jk loves very much. This chapter 2 is really a mess and this fandom is shit

Umm... who said anything about these days? Jimin putting boundaries with V has been happening for a while now. It didn't start in 2022. When V told Jimin i like you the most and Jimin replying i like you too.... Old Jimin would have said i like you the most, too. Just one example.

Hello, I share your indignation about the new part of MK. Everything was changed too much and strangely. Can you write down the moments you didn't like? For example, I’m not happy with this whole situation with Kuai Liang - Scorpion, Tarkata - a disease, Raiden - Liu Kang 2.0, Fujin - Raiden’s sister, who is Kung Lao’s lover, seriously?

I WILL STATE that i have not bothered to look at everything myself but hear from reliable sources of the basic information of the game so i cannot give a full and fair critique. And i will not give this game anymore attention than i already have given it since it is just NOT a mortal kombat game.

Lets talk about the reasons you listed bc i agree.

Kuai liang as scorpion and in role reversal:

I am not a fan of this even remotely being "canon" Although the idea should be explored by fans WHO UNDERSTAND BOTH KUAI LIANG AND HANZO HASASHI AS CHARACTERS ORIGINALLY. It completely disrespects hanzo as a character and erases his connection to scorpion being a "gimmick thing to slap onto someone" as a title rather than a personal journey of meaning. And kuai deserves more respect as well, originally being an assassin whose clan tried to "modernize" by removing free will of warriors to ensure obedience and make their spirits and talents disposable. Trying to fight against that. It seems ironic in the end his fate is nothing more than to be toyed with by this unoriginal and uninspiring "role swap au lolz"

The tarkatan race being a disease:

I shouldn't even have to clarify how fucked up this is. Right after in mk 11 we saw tarkatans just being another race living in outworld minding their own business, and kotal fucking up (kotal khan is a wasted character but thats for another post) so we got what was once a "bad guy evil race" to something better. AND THEN THEY FUCKED IT UP AGAIN like isnt that, at best, the most tone deaf shit after what happened in real life with a certain disease and people being uber racist??? And dont get me started on how they messed up mileena with that too. (God damn the writers fucking hate her just as much as kung lao)

Raiden role reversal:

Let me tell you as a raiden enjoyer i fucking HATE them making him a basic ass protag like they did with liu kang (i love liu but lately they just removed all personality from him) its so fucking uninspiring and boring as shit AND THEY MAKE HIM CHAMPION INSTEAD OF KUNG LAO???? THE ABSOLUTE DISRESPECT WHAT THE FUCK i love raiden but he doesn't deserve champion title, that belongs to KUNG motherfucking LAO.

Fujin being a sister????:

Listen i havent seen it but this is the dumbest ass shit i have ever seen in my entire life. As if they couldn't show how little they actually care about fujin......

And the shallow fans who care little about fujin other than a "pretty fuck toy to do teh yaois with uwu" which is also what they did to shang tsung now which is like YOU FOOLS! CARY HIROYUKI TAGAWA-SAMA IS RIGHT FUCKING THERE!!! YOU SEXUALIZE HIM WHEN HE'S AN OLD MAN TOO OR YOU'RE A COWARD AND A SHAM!

And then there's the absolute nothing plot that really shows they ran out of ideas and just slap together bullshit. Thats it, thats all this story boils down to. A shoddy scam to bullshit a story to take people's money. I mean you cant even get shang tsung or marjory of fan desired characters without dlc and the base game is like 60-70 bucks like the fuck????

As a regular fighting game? Mid but enjoyable i guess. But as a mortal kombat game? No, thats not even mortal kombat thats just some dumbasses wattpad fanfic after they watched avengers endgame in their crusty batman shirt

I'll end this with a small side note: if my opinions offend, I'm sorry im passionate about a series that was a part of my childhood and made me appreciate Japanese and Chinese culture and kung fu cinema in general. Im sorry if the memories of playing a fun game and caring about the characters having strong bonds of friendship in a violent world designed to be a "kill or be killed" system and despite that choosing to do the right thing in their mind.

so i would like to begin by saying that the last time ive seen your blog was like 3 whole fucking years ago or 4 or smth like that and you were one of my favourite fanfic writers when i was into the goddamned fucking magicians (yes big yikes i know) your haircutting fic with eliot and quentin post monster unironically still lives in my head rent free years later whenever i remember that the magicians existed at some point like that one fic changed my brain fucking chemistry at the time i read it i fucking swear

anyway anyway moving on with the explanation back then you were also into mdzs which i had NO idea what it was nor did i really care to find out cause i was deep as fuck in my hyperfixation and THEN a bit later after my magicians hyperfixation went down the drain it just so happened that a shitload of the people i was following or mutuals of mine got really into mdzs in that period of time (might have been popular during that period i dunno) so i looked into it a bit right and i saw that its complicated as fuck and theres books tv series manhua donghua movies and so many fucking things i was like hell fucking no god thats a lot

so ANYWAY FLASH FORWARD YEARS FUCKING LATER yesterday i was looking for something to watch right and guess fucking what unironically out of the goddamned motherfucking depths of my subconscious comes out "mdzs" now i didnt even fucking remember what that was at this point in time so i looked it up AGAIN found out about it AGAIN and then STARTED FUCKING WATCHING IT and NOW literally RIGHT NOW im on the last fucking episode of the first season of the donghua and out of absolutely nowhere it just hit me over the head that YOU PERSONALLY are literally the sole reason why i got into this fucking thing YEARS LATER you somehow got a stranger into a new hyperfixation YEARS after they had last even seen your blog

A9. Who was your first ship?

The earliest ship I remember that I got actually invested in is Reaper76 from Overwatch. I mean, traumatized old gay men who like to shoot at each other and have a HistoryTM? It covers all the basics for me. Also this ship is what made me find AO3, so it kinda introduced me to fandom as a whole and is therefore technically responsible for all the madness that came after it.

B9. Who is your OTP?

You know, I was going to say this is a hard question because I have so many pairings I like in several fandoms and I dont really pick favorites because I like different aspects about them and also Im indecisive. And then I remembered Symbrock. And nothing really comes near the level of absolutely messy devotion of (comics!)Symbrock. So yeah.

C6. Is there anything in canon that made you want to quit the show? What was it? Why do you hate it?

Oh boy, here we go... So not a show, but allllll the shit Cates did with absolute garbage & co and what came after essentially made me quit venom comics and comics in general. Do I even need to explain myself? Like I was keeping up with Venom and also Spider-man and some others because it was fun and enjoyable. And then came the egregious retconning, inconsistencies, character butchering (both how they were written but also literally), characters dying and coming back and dying again and coming back again and fucking gods apparently and how every single issue was The Most Shocking And Dramatic Things The Characters Have Ever Been Through and everything is just edgy and grimdark and angsty and so fucking STUPID and it was just. It wasnt fun or enjoyable anymore, only exhausting and frustrating and sad. And not sad like a sad story makes you feel, but sad like watching something you care about irreparably crash and burn in real time without being able to do anything about it and knowing you can never have it back the way it was (which there is enough of IRL). So I powered through until king in black where I just said "reading this bullshit is draining and depressing and doesnt bring me anything, its not worth it anymore so fuck it" and just stopped. And with my main reason for reading comics gone I ditched marvel comics altogether because lets be honest keeping up with all the different stories and timelines and crossovers and whatnot is exhausting cuz theres just so damn much going on all the time. And why torment yourself with shitty canon when you can have wonderful fanfics tailored to your specific tastes all for free? So I quit comics, read fics instead, got into some new fandoms, indulged my hc and have ever since been living blissfully unaware of the burning dumpster fire (derogatory) that is canon. I only see glimpses of it when it crosses my dash, which I use for cherrypicking for my hc and aggressively ignore the rest.

D10. What is one story idea you really want to read but no one has written yet?

I have a whole lot of story ideas I really want to read (my hcs) that no one has written yet (that would be cuz of me not writing them). But for real, I would love more stories with symbiote & spider-people shenanigans. Like there was this one comic of Peter, Miles and Gwen meeting Venom and fighting Doc Ock toghether and they were kinda buddies? More stuff like that, that has spider/symbiote interaction besides them just trying to kill each other. Maybe it exists and I just havent found it. But like, Venom in spiderverse, they have to team up with the spider gang and they kinda get along because he doesnt have any personal beef with them. He will absolutely recite and discuss Shakespear with that medieval spiderman, be enamored with little Mayday, and be nothing but gentlemanly toward spider ma'am. The other spiders find that "yeah he is freaky and has some dubious morals but isnt actually just an evil monster, he just doesnt like you Peter". The Peter in question does not like it one bit. Him and Venom (barely) tolerate each other, as they always do when they team up, but are constantly petty and passive aggressive towards each other in a funny way, bickering like an old married couple. Because of the nature of their history they also know stuff about each other and will casually drop highly personal details about the other that makes the other spiders go "👀 you sure he's your enemy and not just your ex?". Which Peter likes even less. Other story ideas i desperately need is ANYTHING WITH ANTI-VENOM HOLY SHIT WHERE IS MY BABY!?!?!?! I need stories that let him be a silly dumbass and a pathetic wet beast and occasionally getting railed that dont just exist in my head. But the amount of content on him is just dismal. I often feel like the sole inhabitant of the ghost town that is the Anti-Venom fandom. I've come across one (1) quality fic that portrays him properly (thank you @kitausuret for your invaluable service) and good art is hard to come by compared to other characters. And I realize that if I want more art of him and an Anti-Venom x Agent Venom arch-enemies-to-reluctant-allies-to-even-more-reluctant-friends-to-how-the-hell-did-this-happen excruciating slow burn, I will probably have to do it myself, which hghgnghgnhhh will take forever, but oh well.

Well, this sorta turned into an essay that turned into an impromptu vent post. Hope thats okay and you got your answers!

anything by @old-no7 theres something about the write he writes that just grips me in and makes the stories live imn my head rent free. the imagery and the way they write is so cool and tbh their writing really is the way im getting my words back, because I read their fics and my brain just vibrates with pictures that I have to find my own words for....they got me into shipping the elite polycule and are one of the biggest reasons why I continued my hungbucks story [which I will pick up on when I remember where the story was going]

Cinderella stories never happen to whores by dojadoja on AO3 [if theyre on tumblr pls tag them in this!!] I burned through the entire fic while waiting in the bank and never wanted to tear a fic up between my teeth more or just hold it between my hands and just...I want to be violent against this fic for hte amount of emotions it like, gave me..its such a good read!!!

Descrip: take it im drifting out to sea because HES GONNA BE A COWBOY thE END

Willie had taken his time to take in the damage done to the beloved boots, tutting and frowning at the holes and shredded leather.

"Oh yeah, I can fix 'em for ya, but it'll take a few days, Mr. Boss. That lil' dog did a number to these." Boss exhaled through his nasal bone with a silent nod. It seems 'Toby' had also managed to dislodge some of the pins that held the heels in, which would mean the boots needed to be completely stripped and rebuilt from the sole up.

"That is fine, I suppose. They mean a great deal to me, so take the time you need to get them back to perfect condition." He seemed a bit emotional about leaving the boots behind, and you gently assured the skeleton that they were in skilled hands. Leaving his contact information, the two of you turned to leave.

Until a bony hand grabbed your neckline again.

"You said this store specializes in leather and boots, correct?"

"Yes?" You held the word out longer than necessary, red pinpricks looking down at you, then to the fluorescent shoes between you.

"I would like to peruse them, then. It would not hurt for me to have a few more sets, anyway. And I am beyond done with these sneakers. I feel like one of those fictional circus clowns."

You bit your tongue at his presumption, knowing Boss wouldn't listen to a word you had to say on the subject, and accepted your fate in the tobacco and wood lacker scented hell.

After a bit of searching, pausing only to laugh at some of the ridiculous 'southern fact' signs they had decorating a shelf, the pair of you found the boot section of the large store.

"Human, I highly doubt if Texas were real, that it would home ninety percent of the planet's spider population." You couldn't help the snort that came out at Boss' comment as he walked over to the wall of shoes.

His eyelights were transfixed on the detailed stiches in some of the leather boots. His phalanges traced over a pair that had some gaudy gems placed into them- a pair that had studs- red stained leather- black snake skin. He was strangely silent as he looked over each set with wonder.

You didn't think any of them were Boss' style, to be honest. They were about classic as classic cowboy boots get- you could have sworn you even spotted a pair made of alligator skin.

"These." He finally spoke, pulling down one of the only sets that seemed to be ankle high. They were a deep maroon, black stitching along the sides and folds, and a very obvious steel toe embedded inside. There were a few gold embellishments and you felt they were gaudy as all hell.

But, that expression of wonder in Boss' eyes made him look like a child on gyftmas morning.

It was cute.

He was cute.

"I mean, sure, if you're into red, black and gold-" The skeleton flicked his eyes towards you, making your mouth snap shut. He took a seat on a nearby bench, listlessly kicking off the offending accessories to try the new boots on.

Boss became silent once again, taking in the shine of leather as he tilted his feet and legs to get a good look at them.

"There is a mirror over there." You mention, pointing a few feet away, and he stood up to admire the shape of the shoes. And while he did so, you also found yourself admiring him.

Boss was very tall- even without the help of his stiletto heels- and his broad shoulders squared in perfect posture made almost anything he wore look breathtaking. His choice of attire today fit snuggly against his ribcage, tapering down his spine- making Boss look, pun intended, skeleton thin. Tight, but soft, leather pants hugged his narrow hips and bony legs, perfectly shaping his body.

"Hmm. A bit lower than what I am used to, but they are quite fetching on me. What do you think, human?"

He caught you staring, once again, in the mirror- just as your eyes had been slowly trailing down his legs, brain becoming grey mush. You curse quietly, turning your head away with a mutter of agreement.

"Sadly, they do not match the rest of my attire. I should see if they have apparel here to compliment my figure and accessories." He made an amused sound when you cocked your head at the suggestion, cheeks burning with new fervor.

Oh. He knew exactly what he was doing now. Boss wouldn't even play with the idea if any of his family was around, but since it was just the two of you, he was going to continue his sadistic game.

When you had first met Boss, you would have sworn he didn't have a playful bone in his body- the serious tone and way he carried himself made it seem he was all work and no play. But, as you got to know him, his true colors seemed to blossom forth. Yes, he hated puns, that didn't mean he had no sense of humor. His humor was dry and a little cynical- and you had nearly soiled yourself in laughter when he cracked his first joke around you.

He also found Blue and Nox's rivalry amusing, egging them on at times just to get under their skin.

And when then two of you were alone, he was much more relaxed, allowing more of his jovial side to come out. Sometimes it was a welcome blessing and sometimes it was not.

As it was at your expense today, it was one of those times that his sense of humor didn't delight.

"Uh, s-sure. Why not? Let's find you a nice pair of chaps-" Boss' amused smile caught you off guard as he held a hand up to stop you from moving. You had hoped he would allow you to help, maybe in a way save yourself from this horrible fate.

"No, I believe I can handle dressing myself just fine. Though, I will listen to your opinion after I have chosen an outfit." The smirk didn't go away as you made a noise of disdain. The skeleton sauntered off on his own, leaving you to scream internally at being caught red handed and was going to make you suffer for it.

When he turned a corner, you were on your feet- tossing the old converse in your inventory- and did your best to sneak around the store behind the him. Occasionally, Boss would turn his head out of suspicion, causing you to duck behind a shelf, while he thumbed through the racks of clothes.

He was enjoying teasing you like this, smirk still apparent on his face. You were by no means subtle, so Boss knew you were tailing him around, and that only added to his amusement.

You peeked over a row of jackets that were fastened with tassels while Boss sifted through some button up shirts. His foot tapped along to the music with perfect rhythm, though, you were more shocked when his low voice was barely audible.

He was quietly singing along to the tune.

Boss Gothic Serif.

Was singing country.

And he knew you were watching and listening.

The next time he glanced over his shoulder, Boss caught your reddened face as a devious smile curled on his skull. He knew exactly what he was doing.

"Human, I have picked out a suitable ensemble. Feel free to wait there for me to change." You didn't hide this time when he spoke up, accepting defeat, stepping out to follow the monster towards the changing rooms.

You knew from the first day of meeting these skeletons that they would be the death of you. You just didn't expect it to be in a dime store cowboy shop in the city.

Flopping down on another bench, you waited for death to finish his wardrobe swap and drag you to the dark depths- knowing now that he was going to be dressed like a cowboy with Shania Twain playing gently to send you off.

The shuffle of cloth behind the barn themed doors caught your attention, the soft click of bones on wood as a lock was lifted and the doors swung open.

Words choked in your mouth as it hung ajar, Boss stepping out of the small room with the most smug look on his face you had ever seen him muster.

His head was tilted down ever so slightly, burning red eyes shaded by the black hat atop his skull. Your eyes dragged down to the crisp maroon and black button up, gold skull bola tie strung in the collar and rested on his nearly bare breastbone.

The shirt was rolled at the sleeves, showing off his battle scarred hands and arms, and the tail tucked neatly into a pair of tight black dyed jeans; adorned and held up by a red leather belt that had a large gold skull buckle to keep it all together. The jeans hugged the skeleton's frame all the way down to the coordinated boots.

Boss leaned against the doorframe, taking in your reaction with sadistic glee; How you couldn't form a single word in appreciation to his wardrobe selection. How your face was red enough to put his shirt to shame. How your eyes lingered over the single undone button at his clavicle.

How your reaction made his soul thrum with pride.

"Comments?" He finally spoke, beyond amused at the way you startled to his rough voice- dropping it an octave or two, successfully getting further reactions out of you. Finally, you managed to swallow the hard, dry lump that formed in your throat, tearing your gaze away to look back to Boss' expecting eyes.

You coughed and looked away

"Yee. Haw?" Was all you could manage as he stepped forward, boots loudly clacking against the hardwood floor. The terrifying skeleton you called a friend, and obviously waxed red towards, stopped mere feet before you, dragging your attention back to him.

"Is that all you have to say? I would appreciate some feedback, maybe I should make another selection if this doesn't suit me-"

"No, don't!" You found your voice as Boss turned heel to find something else to fluster you with. He quirked a brow ridge at your outburst, returning to his previous position, arms crossed as he awaited to hear your real feelings.

"You. You look good, Boss." You did your best to hold your voice steady as his gaze made you shrink into the bench, like you were going to become a permanent fixture in the store.

"Just ‘good’?" Oh, he was going to make you suffer. Breathing hard through your nose, you looked back up at him. Boss already knew how you felt, so this was just torture to feed his ego.

And you may as well feed it.

"Fine." There was a pause as you found the words. “You look amazing. Handsome. Stunning.” You could feel your face and neck darkening with each admission- at this point, had you even been referring to just how he looked now? He seemed to preen at each compliment, all too pleased to drink in your words of praise.

"Then I do believe I will purchase these items. They may be in start contrast to the rest of my wardrobe, but some variety in life never hurts."

It was interesting to watch Boss fannagle with the cashier about buying all the clothes items while he was still in them- but he managed to do it, and in style, if you were honest.

With his boots squared away, clothes tucked into his inventory, and you at his side, Boss literally strutted out of the store- leading you both back to his car.

"Human, you make it so easy to fluster you, you do realize that." Boss' smile from before had not left his features, even as you pulled into the culdesac in which you lived.

"Yeah, I'm aware, Boss." You heaved a final embarrassed sigh as the car came to a stop at your curb. Gathering your belongings, and what little bit of pride you had left, the car door swung open and you turned back to him. "Tease the human that has feelings for you. Ha, ha."

"But, uh." You pause, leaning on the door to look Boss in the eyes.

"Have fun getting into your room before Red or Stretch see you, Cowboy."

it was never my intention to not continue updating it, sorry if it came across that way because I know it's been kinda a long time since I updated it!! also i agree on the fanfic thing i dont think anyone on either side enjoys when techno is made out as helping an infantilized tommy. it is weird. anything having to do with bedrock bros in canon is rocky imo bc itll either be techno apologizing (impossible /j) or tommy apologizing (which he already did whyy whyyyyyy) anyway its 80% chance of not being a great time. i could honestly go for ages about fanfic but it does really come off as complain-y so ill cut it off here… for now <3 (also i did paraphrase quite a bit, theres nuance but it’d just be a LOT)

and exactly exactly !! it's just impossible to depict the old bedrock bros dynamic post doomsday without it feeling Uncomfortable in some way or another. to the point that I've mostly just shifted into reading au bedrock and sbi fic when I need my Fix.

it's not impossible to write, but it takes Delicate Brushwork and Time to navigate it in a way that'd address the situation as completely as it'd need to be for a reconciliation to feel natural while Also not bending either of them so far out of character that they don't read as themselves anymore. and picking through the uh, Less Subtle Approaches gets exhausting after a while fkjdlas

but absolutely, the subsection of fic that depicts techno as a bed nurse are twisting techno just as far out of character as they are tommy. if he's not allowed to be abrasive or comedic, if he's just a perfect nanny that you can fawn and coo over while he nurses the baby back to health, then he's just as much a prop to the hurt/comfort machine as tommy is.

and mind you, I'm familiar with all of these tropes because I Like fics that cover tommy's recovery in the immediate aftermath of logstedshire for the same reason why I still like the bedrock bros arc. it all has a different vibe now because of the way that canon turned, but that doesn't change the fact that they had genuine chemistry at the time. and you can Feel that chemistry in some of the fics. you can Feel that they're still themselves even if it's depicting something that we couldn't have in canon.

infantilization doesn't do that. stripping the characters down until neither of them resemble themselves doesn't do that. it does both of them a disservice and can almost come off as Creepy in the context of what happened in canon

that said, nothing highlights all of this quite as much as the trend of fics with the Exact same premise and vibe that swap tommy out for dream. techno and phil nursing the murdering child abuser back to health with a spoon, turning dream into a hapless child that can't take care of themselves. it makes it clearer than ever that for some people it wasn't about the characters, it was about infantilizing trauma because it's "cute."

i mean, like she says, is that not what people just did to each other in the aftermath of battles for thousands of years? and i really like how its pointed out that it was what she was raised with (in the beginning when you see her put shackles on that guy after the battle) but she also accepts responsibility for it and acknowledges that it was wrong and not just 'what people did'.

i like how from her expressions you can kind of tell baby andy knew it was off but she sets those feelings aside bc she felt angry. it explains how she felt but didnt make her out to be blameless in it. plus i mean. i dont know, the fact that andy was involved in a lot of morally shady stuff for 7000 years is not that wild for me. if you live that long youre just Going to be involved in some shit, and she didnt even have other immortals with her as positive community influences, she literally just did whatever the fuck she wanted for thousands of years

i dont know, i get why people didnt like the ending but its. .. . it makes more sense in the comicverse. bc the squad doesnt really. .. interact outside of jobs? i mean, think of the moon landing story in ttt. that was booker and joe and nicky doing a job and andy only showed up a for a couple minutes after it was done. or the brunch in the first issue of opening fire. the squad arent as tight in the comic, and andy often seems to do her own thing outside of work, so andy saying 'i dont want to do work anymore' and the squad being like 'alright bye then' makes more sense in this universe than the movie one

also i feel like greg was Trying to set up a thing where nile becomes the Leader of The Squad after andy dies but like. its not very well done since. . . i mean, nile hasnt spoken to booker since opening fire, (and she only knew him A Day). and shes known joe and nicky all that time, but there isnt really anything that indicates that they have any relationship at all, much less one that's grown. in all the comicverse the only time nile and nicky speak is in FM, and in that scene nicky tells nile about noriko. nile goes from someone who needs to be set aside to have background knowledge explained to her to being the Leader of the group with nothing in between. it kind of... comes out of nowhere.

on the other hand tho... i felt really bad for andy thru the whole thing. well, i always felt bad for andy, but in this one she seemed so miserable, especially since it really felt like none of the others actually.... cared about her. when noriko came back no one asked andy how she was doing (big question ik, but it wouldve showed they cared at least), nobody ever expressed any concern for her, no one even really seemed to want to be around her. in opening fire everyone was more distant than in the movie of course, but there were little moments where she would joke with joe, or nicky would try and comfort her, or stuff like that, but in FM it really felt like they just didnt really care about her. & in opening fire it felt a lot like andy's relationship with nile breathed some new life into her, but in FM it felt like all they did was argue. i get theyre not *as* close in the comics but it really felt like the only person who cared about andy at all was noriko (which was probably also how andy felt) but it just seemed to come out of nowhere. honestly i was reading and i was honestly agreeing with andy that she might just be better off if she did just die. opening fire, on the other hand, never make me feel that way

tho everyone made it sound like when the squad split up it was one of those cursed 'the found family leaves each other at the end of the journey' tropes. but guys i mean,,, this is the second installment out of three. that isnt the End. theyll come back in the third one and Dramatically Reunite to fight some baddies (probably those 'others' noriko mentioned). im guessing yitzhak fits into that too somehow.

anyways it wasnt That Bad but it made me kind of sad and the only Sweet Found Family vibes in it were when they saved booker. also they shouldve beefed up that nilemoose romance, it underwhelmed me. 6.5/10

i also ABSOLUTELY understand all of greg's comments about how you couldnt make FM directly into a movie, he always said that it had no plot and. i get it now. it really didnt have a plot sdfghjkl

I remember that long ago, I said that Karzahni is my least favorite character in the franchise doe to disliking how he was treated from 07 onwards. While I still ovetall dont like what was done to Karzahni, I feel that my feelings towards his character are more complicated than that, and I feel more mixed than anything else.

Firstly, I ADORE his backstory. Just, the whole thing with him being essentially made to be a fixer/healer, only for him to fail at his job and go mad from it. Karzahnis backstory is honestly rather tragic if you look deeper, and I honestly want to write some meta and/or fanfic regarding the guy, theres so many thoughts I have about him and want to share with the world.

I must also admit while the "ruler of hell" concept is a bit cheesy , it is executed pretty well. Karzahnis introduction in Dark Destiny is brilliant, and I love the way hes utilized there. Hes such well utilized villain, softspoken but absolutely cruel and does his purpose well.

As for rest of his appearences do I still dislike them? Yes, I do. At the same time I do wonder what else they couldve DONE to Karzahni. Bevause honestly, Greg kinda wrote himself to a corner with a character concept like Karzahni due to him being basically a ruler of a minor location and his characterization being very tied to that. As such, I cant really be too mad that Karzahni was treated the way he was. Because again, while it was underwhelming, it was easier to use him in tht way. I honestly feel this was probably a reason he was killed, as he didnt really have any purpose in the story anymore. So yeah, still dont like how hes treated, but I understand why.

Lastly...Karzahnis weird to me since, he's written in a way that makes him easily to read as not only very mentally ill, but also neurodivergent. And this makes me mixed since on one hand, this is a big reason why I'm interested in him and want to make more sympathetic portrayal of the character...but at the same time Karzahni falls to the whole "mentally ill character portrayed as an insane madman" trope, which can be a huge turnoff for people and even seen as hurtful if not outright ableistic. I DOUBT he was written to be purposefully hurtful towards mentally ill or neurodivergent people, and instead feel it was of an ignorant carelessness than malice. I also wouldn't call Greg ableist for writing Karzahni the way he did (I dont like calling out ppl of having hurtful view for just the fiction they wrote, and even if I did, I would use some of his comments regarding Tuyet, but even then I feel its more like not thinking that using the word "insane" to describe a tyrant could hit a sore spot for some people than Greg being purposefully ableist.) Again I will probably make a deeper post on this later, so wont go too in depth.

But yeah Karzahni is just so weird since, he just has a lot of aspects I like for a character, but he isnt utilized well in the story imho. Not to mention how I feel extremely mixed on him being a very clearly mentally ill character.

surprise return???!!??!

hello...... it is me..... again.....

im so sorry for impulsively creating a second blog, writing on it for a few weeks before abandoning it ;__; adhd is really something! i like to pretend im a celebrity in the gintama fandom for my gintama fame when i was 15 but i doubt anyone remembers me lol

i’ve consistently liked gintama for years, but i’ve had waxing and waning levels of interest for it, especially writing it.

idk how many people care, but i’ve been writing some gintama fic on my new tumblr and i decided to return to this one to give some life updates

i graduated highschool and i start college soon! one of the reasons i’ve been so busy is because i was finishing my senior year which was hell since i had to do it online. i move out in about a week! im super nervous but i’m really excited.

i’ve done a lot of introspection and i’ve decided to change my name, and i’ve found a gender identity that i’m comfortable with! i’ve chosen the name marle, and my pronouns are they/them. i identify as agender, and i’m a lesbian :)

speaking of new tumblr, i’ve decided to just make a new tumblr to use as a writing dump rather than a request blog! i realized that request based blogs stress me out a whole lot, and i like to do things at my own pace. i write a lot of fanfic as it is, so i don’t have any issues with coming up with ideas.

anyways, my new blog is @cornfarm! i don’t have any gintama works up yet, but i do plan on publishing some, and have a few written in my drafts.

i have much more experience with life, so i think my writing has only gotten better.

again, thank you for the short lived support, and for the people who remembered me, thank you.

thank you all so much for the support. writing for the gintama fandom has been very fun. i regret deleting my first blog for archival reasons, yet theres nothing i can do about that.

Okay here's the rant about the horrible OOCness of fanon Gojou, cuz one person requested it and whats more important: I cant shut up anyway.

I gotta say... Ive been in fandom for a long time. A LONG time. So long in fact that my time in fandom is probably higher than someone's age on here. (Not that this means anything significant except that after some time you just have Seen Things)

And the fandom's portayal of Gojou in roughly 90% of the fics i come across and most posts that arent in-depth meta or fanart is the worst ive seen in a long time. Might even beat Hawks... but i havent checked the tag in months so i cant say much about that anymore.... Maybe the dust has settled by now... Who knows? Not me, thats for sure.

I get it, sometimes we are just horny and wanna write horny shit but seriously, y'all are horny for a person you have made up completely yourself cuz whoever you are writing... Thats not Gojou. "Oh i love Gojou so much" No you dont, you have twisted his entire personality into something that doesnt even exist, half bad faith readings of canon and half made up completely. And usually, the hornier the fanfic the more OOC it gets. Why the hell is he always mean and nasty in fanfics? He's never an asshole in canon except to Curses and the Higher Ups. Why the fuck would he be an asshole to a possible partner? I can count the fics on both hands where the teasing actually is light-hearted and funny and not a direct attack on whoever is on the other end of it. But canon Gojou isnt mean for no reason at all! Where did this interpretation come from? People who never had fun in their life? Turn on your location i just wanna talk. I come with pies to throw at you cuz youre the clown.

"I am the strongest" is a necessity. Its something to hold on to like youre lost at sea and find a piece of wood. Its what remains of "We are the strongest" and its truly tragic that theres no trace of that in fanon Gojou. Wheres the impact Geto had on him? Wheres everything that remains of Geto that Gojou is still carrying around in his heart and his mind? You cannot seperate Gojou from this without turning him into someone completely else. If the fandom material doesnt include him explicitly then theres no mention at all. (And the stuff that does include Getou isnt the OOC one, generally speaking)

There are so many people in the fandom who allegedly "love" him that dont treat him any different than the people in his life already do. Calling him Immature, Annoying, an Idiot. Shipping him with people who actively cannot stand him in the slightest and never have. What positive things do you have to say about him? Are there any? There sure are but somehow they rarely ever are mentioned. I dare the people who say they love him so much to name things they love about him that you do not need eyes for.

For someone thats allegedly so "Loved" you sure hate and disrespect this man a lot.
