Random manga rec: Interviews with Monster Girls
Hey y’all, this is exactly what it says on the tin.
My icon is from a manga called Interviews with Monster Girls, which is a fairly short slice-of-life manga about a high school teacher in a world where figures from various world mythologies are actually real.
There are vampires, dullahans, snow women, succubi and incubi, oh my!
The title isn’t a euphemism - it’s literally about helping these monster girls (demi-humans or ‘demis’ as they’re called in the manga) to fit in and to share their stories to the world at large. It explores how things like “not having your head attached to your body” would impact your day-to-day life, how difficult it would be to eat or carry bags while dealing with that. It speaks to my experience as a student with a mental illness, and how I felt different from my peers in a way that was difficult to express.
There’s no over-the-top drama, it’s very heartwarming and sweet. The teacher doing the eponymous interviews is super understanding of everyone’s unique perspectives and is always supportive of the students.
There is a romance sub-plot, but it’s between two of the teachers and examines with a truly critical lens how being a succubus would make it difficult to form attachments with others. It’s a slow burn, and so cute!!
Anyways, this is all to say that you all should go read Interviews with Monster Girls. It’s got 11 volumes and they’re all out now. It’s got an anime, but I don’t think that anime ever reached the end?

I’ve got a bit of a theory brewing in my noggin regarding the Guide. I’m placing bets that the Guide’s storyline points towards her villain arc. Hear me out-
In season 3 the Guide is appointed to assist the new leaders of the Vampiric Council, our Staten Island vampires. She has been an underling for the vampiric council for centuries and manages the Temple of Blood-Devourers.
She has followed the orders of many legendary councils, "the best of the best" as she refers to them. Now she is in the hands of a group of vampires who do not care about the rules and who violate the vampiric code by which they live at every turn. But she is required to help them and so she does.
In season 4, she quickly finds that she cannot control them. Laszlo and Colin destroy artifacts from the Chamber of Curiosities. Nandor and Nadja neglect to feed the sire and he escapes. She oversaw the sacred reliquary for hundreds of years and they dismantled all of it in a matter of weeks. Then Nadja suggests they turn the whole place into a bar. She is completely opposed to this idea and only comes around when Nadja tells the Guide that the liquidator of underlings of the Supreme Worldwide Vampiric Council, Lord Tyractus (?), said that it would be better used as a bar.
This is of course a lie but the Guide cares what the Supreme Vampiric Council thinks of her and her dedicated work. So, she agrees to the bar. She can’t get her wraiths to help with converting the space into a bar because “they know what her heart really wants”. To help get through this mental block, Laszlo books her for a therapy session. That’s where we discover her history of falling in love with a Van Helsing. (I would also like to point out that the picture of the Guide with the Van Helsing in her flashback is the same one we see in the open credits for season 5) Her form of punishment is to serve the Vampiric Council as an underling for eternity. She explicitly tells Laszlo in her therapy session that “if anything gets changed here something very bad will happen.” Could this be hinting towards some greater power beyond her control?
Finally they are able to gut the chambers for Nadja’s bar. Nadja treats the Guide and her wraiths so poorly the whole time. Despite all this, she sticks by Nadja’s side. She does her best to fulfill her duties despite their constant mistreatment.
We learn in the beginning of season 5 that she is once again left waiting at the Vampiric Council. At this point she has mostly given up on trying to make them follow the legacy of the vampiric council. So instead, she pursues respect and admiration from the vampires. But she cannot make her way into the clique.
She wants to live with them, but they make up a fake excuse about there being zoning rules that limit four vampires to a house. Then she tries to support a depressed Nadja after the bar burned down from the fire Nadja started. The guide can’t get through to her, so she suggests maybe it is a hex. She asks Nadja if she has been unkind to anyone in her past. Nadja is in denial that she could have possibly hurt anyone, let alone the Guide.
The Guide knows witchcraft, so it would make sense that she placed this “hex” on Nadja. But is the hex even real? Or did the Guide just say that to scare Nadja into realizing her own selfish behaviors?
Now the Roast is where we see things shift for the Guide.
At the roast she tells Baron that Guillermo was the one who set him on fire, because she felt bad that he wasn’t in on the joke. She mentions how bad it feels to not feel included. But then she also tells the Baron that Guillermo is a Van Helsing. This I believe is purposeful.
They have neglected her, given her nothing to actually guide, and left her aimless. She ends up apologizing and admitting to Nandor and Nadja that she told the Baron that Guillermo burned him. But she purposefully leaves out that she told the Baron about Guillermo's Van Helsing blood, too.
In the end, she is an underling for the Vampiric Council. She will not risk everything for these vampires, because her loyalties lie with the Supreme Vampiric Council. I am theorizing that she may end up selling Guillermo out to show her loyalty to the Supreme Vampiric Council and as a way of getting some revenge on the vamps for how they’ve mistreated her. I believe it’s possible she could be working with this “mysterious, illustrious” vampire (possibly part of the Supreme Vampiric Council?) to lure Guillermo into a trap.
In the screen capture for the 9th episode, we see Guillermo and the Guide standing next to each other. I don’t believe the Guide has any good intentions towards Guillermo after seeing how she betrayed him by telling the Baron about his slayer blood.
I mean there’s only so long someone can put up with being left out of a friend group and being unappreciated.
Addition:
I mean, the Guide has barely been a part of the last few episodes. They added her to the main cast/opening credits but her character's only story so far is that she wants to be roomies with the vampires. She made no progress in her own story up until the Roast. She took matters into her own hands by divulging Guillermo's secrets.. and if she continues in that direction then she could very well become the villian. It just doesn't make sense to have so little story for a main cast member. They have to be taking a big jump with her character in these last two episodes. Otherwise the whole Nadja and Guide subplot will fall completely flat. And imagine Nadja's surprise when she finds out that the Guide was behind the hex?

First off, amazing storytelling as usual. I'm not fond of the end personally, but that doesn't mean it still wasn't a great tale.
I'd like to know about the other story ideas you had for pirate Will before he got royally stoned.
Totally understandable. I'm not fond of making my characters come to a final halt myself, but for the sake of storytelling, it really felt right. It wasn't a good ending, but it made for a good story, and sometimes that's more important than keeping my characters happy.
Speaking of story ideas... There was an entire story arc that I originally wanted to do where p!Will would have become a MUCH different character. I had an idea of p!Will deciding that the Nightingales weren't truly his family, his real family was lost at sea, far away and with no way to reach any of them. Not Caer, not his father, and certainly not his mother. Would he even consider the Captain as an extension of his family? I had quotes lined up as possible lines to drop, really push the friendship p!Will had with Caer and then to have him completely betray the "family" he has now with p!Graecie and p!Apo and everyone else. He'd want to make something of himself, be more known, be SOMETHING unlike his father who would spend his life on the Luscinia and never more than that. So, he'd join the Herons. Make a legacy. Really leave a mark. It would've made him more hardened of a character, less friendly to everyone, likely becoming almost cold and dismissive of other people's feelings in exchange for discovering treasures and places, something that would consume him and ultimately probably get him killed. It wouldn't be a BETTER ending, but it would've been SUCH a different story!
I also had a thought of making Caer and p!Will's relationship more romantic instead of platonic, but that's just me being gay as hell and wanting to make a story where I get to kiss men. Imagine they reunite years later? After growing up a little more and learning more about the world? They'd be an unstoppable force, the pair of them, an absolute whirlwind but GOD the pirating would be so good. Unfortunately I couldn't see a good way to make that into a story with how we were set up for Pirates, which is why it got scrapped.
There were a few other story beats I had floating around in my head, some sort of fight with p!Graecie that they'd have to make up for, maybe a betrayal of another person from a different faction, causing an even bigger rift between the Nightingales and another faction. Maybe he'd have a brush with death that makes him really think about his life and what he wanted to do with it, which honestly could've tied into the Heron storyline detailed above.

Fanfiction has absolutely ruined traditional books for me in the best and worst ways possible;
It’s made my expectations of the pace and amount of dopamine I should get from each and every scene skyrocket
It’s made me grow addicted to basically being able to find the exact very specific concept I crave at any moment because all I have to do on websites like Ao3 is put in the pairing or fandom and the tags I want and I can scroll however long I want until I find something that really peaks my interest, especially cause I have the luxury of passing by fics that don’t grab my attention and run away with it
Not only that but the long wait you have after hearing about a book and having to order it into your local library which could take weeks and so either a) the anticipation is building and so you either thoroughly enjoy the book or are greatly disappointed or b) by the time you get the book you are much less enthralled about it and instead of being really into it and are really just reading it for the fact you had to wait so long for it - but with fanfiction as soon as you read the tags and summary (not only can you see the amount of views, likes, comments, words and chapters) the excitement is already there and you are hit with rush after rush of dopamine.
And if the fic turns out to be disappointing or unfinished, it’s quite likely you can find a very similar fic to fulfil your needs almost immediately so you don’t stay disappointed for long.
And you get to directly interact with the fic writer which on its own I love.
Fanfic writers always have just so much love for their fic and you can often see that in their work, which with a lot of traditional writers it seems like they are dragging themselves to finish it off.
And it’s super easy to get into a fic whether or not you’re in a fandom as often you don’t really need much knowledge on the cannon material, but if you do and loved it then that strong emotional connection to characters is prebuilt, whilst with traditional writers they have to build that up which is where a lot of books fall flat, whereas if a fic writer made the same mistake then it’s okay because you already know the character from the original material.
The most mid quality fanfics often beat what I would consider 4 star books.
Also when I first discovered fanfic just so happened to be the time I was going through my first book slump (which then lasted 7 years) and I don’t know if the rush I got from fic only encouraged my book slump or if it would have lasted this long anyway, but it definitely raised my expectations and made slow-starting books difficult to bring myself to open.
Also a lot of my favourite writing concepts are things entirely found in fanfiction or just little stories/oneshots I read here on tumblr and NEVER in official published books. And if there ARE hints of them in traditional books they are usually minimal and badly written, and/or almost completely ignored in favour of smut.
And that goes onto my next point which is in fics, I know what I’m getting into before I even click on it; I’m immediately shown what type of content I’m about to consume (as in rating, the pairing(s), if there’s smut or hurt/comfort or what) whereas with books I often have to really dig to find out what sort of content is in it without buying the book and seeing the content warnings on the first few pages, which is an issue if you are trying to avoid a smut scene which was in no way hinted at in the blurb.
My main reason to try get back into traditional books is reading new content with new characters, be able to talk about it with my family (without having to explain the concept of fanfiction), and maybe possibly to put on display in my home.
But as I’ve been picking up books to read, I’m realising how much fanfic has raised my expectations for writing and having the best pick for whatever storyline I’d like and have come to the conclusion it has honestly ruined me, and possibly my attention span.
I don’t know
I’ll probably post several more-coherent posts about this later but for now enjoy my raw thoughts.

Constantly thinking of the many ways Roach could be incorporated into the reboot timeline but in the most angsty way possible.
I lowkey like the idea that Roach and Ghost were partners in the past and sent out on a mission where only one of them came back (Ghost) while the other was presumed dead (Roach).
That mission could be this timeline's version of Loose Ends where they're betrayed, but not by Sheppard. (And it also explains the "Careful who you trust, people you know can hurt you the most." line by Ghost.)
Or it could just be a mission that ended terribly and Ghost has to live with the pain of losing Roach.
Anyways the next part is inspired by this post by @rodolfoparra with Roach being a Shadow Company soldier.
I'm thinking Roach becomes a Shadow after being found half-dead by Sheppard's men. Happens right after the mission where Ghost thought he died.
He becomes recruited and now works for Sheppard (this is lowkey inspired by the cod:g storyline where the enemy captured, tortured and brainwashed one of the good guys into joining their side.)
This would also make for some good ass angst-ridden reunion when Ghost discovers that not only is Roach alive, but he is now serving the enemy.
This could be reluctant enemies to lovers lmao (or just enemies to friends if that's more your thing)
Imagine Roach having a vendetta against Ghost because he believes he was abandoned/left for dead during that past mission. Like idk Sheppard or some other SC officer brainwashed him into believing Ghost had discarded him.
Maybe Roach defects from SC because of Ghost either trying to bring Roach back to their side, or just by Roach being unable to bring himself to fight/hurt Ghost.
I feel like Roach is a fiercely loyal man to whoever he is allied with, so it would probably take a lot for him to break away from SC in the beginning (esp since I'm going with him being brainwashed into joining them.)
Anyways, I am a shameless ghostroach shipper at heart so my reboot!Roach hcs are going to generate the most amount of angst possible for these two. Just think of the potential.

Okay, we’ll admit we were among those hoping for an appearance from Special Agent Kensi Blye tonight, considering the episode was directed by Daniela Ruah, who played the badass agent on NCIS: LA from 2009 to 2023.
But we’re happy to have Ruah (who previously directed episodes of NCIS: LA) bring her knowing eye to helming NCIS. “It was the first time I was directing on ‘the mothership’ as we lovingly call it,” Ruah tells us in Case Closed, our NCIS aftershow. “It almost didn’t matter what came my way in terms of storyline, I just wanted to be part of it and work with the crew and cast of NCIS. I was received with open arms – like a wonderful, warm hug.”
Her passion for directing showed in this classic case-of-the-week storyline where the team chased down a petty officer’s murderer, who turned out to be someone a little too close to home. It also included a comedic through line about Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) trying to hide the fact that he sometimes cheated on his strict fitness regimen from his new temporary roommate, boss Alden Parker (Gary Cole). “Wilmer’s a funny guy,” Ruah says. “He brings a comedic timing. My job is just to capture it. Maybe I throw in a possible improv.”
Tumblr media
Sonja Flemming/CBS
Considering we last saw Kensi in the NCIS: LA series finale, discovering that her dream had come true, and she was finally pregnant with hubs/fellow agent Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), we had to know if Ruah wonders as much as we do what her alter ego is doing now. As Ruah was sharing with us that she calculated Kensi’s due date and would always love the character she’d played for so long, she realized she was wearing an outfit she’d taken home from set that had been part of Kensi’s onscreen wardrobe – sweater, jeans, and signature boots. She cracks about how the writers might have worked Kensi’s motherhood into a script: “Do we now have an episode with Kensi fighting with a baby in her arms? I wouldn’t put it past her. Or is she out of the game for a couple months?”
Ruah also told us how she feels about the upcoming Paramount+ series (nicknamed) NCIS: Europe which reunites beloved NCIS couple Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva (Cote de Pablo). “I think it’s the best thing ever,” Ruah says. “They had time to go off and do other things. These roles are so establishing for us who have been cast members on the show. For them to pick up these two characters that people fell so madly in love with — even I was shipping ‘Tiva’ —  it’s a wonderful idea, and I’m so excited to watch it.”
As for a Kensi and Deeks spinoff? “I don’t know that I could see one in the near future,” Ruah says. “Eric’s really busy doing what he’s doing and loving that. I’m loving this. I would never say never, but in the near future, that’s probably not on the table. It’s important for us to go and find ourselves in other things. The show was important and special to us, but it’s like leaving the nest.”
You’ll get to see Ruah’s behind-the-camera talents again in an episode of NCIS: Hawai’i coming up in April. Ruah, who does not appear in the hour, reveals that the plot takes deep dives into the characters and, “I think it’s the darkest episode they’ve ever had. The crime that’s committed and what we find out over the course of the episode…it’s not a pleasant story.”
Check out the video for more from Ruah about working with Sean Murray and LL Cool J; what Agents Kensi, Knight (Katrina Law), and Ziva have in common; and more of her thoughts on what it takes to direct a top-notch hour of TV. Hey, we may even see her pulling double duty at some point. Ruah tells us, “I am not opposed at all to showing up as Kensi in one of the NCIS shows.”

UNDERTALE YELLOW SPOILERS FOR PACIFIST AND MERCILESS
please excuse my crazed and disorganized ramblings this is a long one and im not even sure if im making a point or just spinning in circles around a single thing that should be way simpler to say than im saying it
okay so i might be going a little insane over undertale yellows whole storyline with the blue soul, how something bad happened, people were attacked, etc
and my brain wants, or at least wanted, to make a whole Conspiracy Board about my thoughts on it, but im coming to the realization that theres actually not much i can say about individual pieces of dialogue cuz everything i could say about whats mentioned in-game basically just sums up to: What If It's Not What It Seems
like. everything said about the blue soul is just that there was an attack, not about what actually happened. i dont think it was the murderous rampage everyone paints it as, considering dalv was there and only got injured, plus the human fleeing instead of finishing the job or standing their ground like someone on a merciless route would normally do.
im not saying the human DIDNT kill though, to be completely clear. im just suggesting that the event is vague and uncertain, and theres still multiple ways it could go. maybe the human killed, but it was an accident, a mistake they couldnt possibly fix and paid a horrible price for, or maybe it WAS intentional for one reason or another, but they werent going out of their way to kill everyone they met, neutral route at worst
or, an option my brain is lingering on personally: what if they were FRAMED. by who, im not sure. why, im not sure. but like....the tutu is only referred to as dusty by papyrus, but the item itself is just "old". so maybe the dust is natural rather than a monsters, but with that said, its still THERE, and theres a weight to it. especially considering the ballet shoes' description says the shoes make you feel "incredibly dangerous" which on its own can be shrugged off as a joke, but with the context of yellow (ignoring that its not officially canon) its not that simple
and the WEIGHT of that dust is what the whole thing is about: something bad absolutely happened regarding the blue soul. we just dont know what specifically went down, even with undertale yellows spin on it. all undertale yellow gives us is where it happened, and how that humans journey ended.
i cant say for sure what actually happened, and thats the thing: i dont think ANYONE can. but honestly thats the thing i love about the whole blue soul plotline: its open-ended. and its somethin id actually hope for a fangame to try and explore, that theres no single "right" answer
(that said i do think its absolutely possible for a fangame that tries to touch on it to give it a single outcome and still be interesting and satisfying, im just leaning way more toward the multiple answers route)
also this is a side tangent but.
one thing id also like to bring up is the soul mode transformation in yellow: in each route, clover obtains the soul mode because of a strong feeling of justice. whether thats ceroba making unjust decisions in desperation, or discovering axis was responsible for the death of a human. (neutral routes an enigma, theres no real transformation, flowey just flips clovers soul upside down, and boom, theyre in shooter mode)
obviously souls are the embodiment of a persons essence, so this isnt really surprising. but specifically what im thinking of is. the blue souls mode in undertale is gravity. the soul is weighed down and has to jump.
what if, unlike clovers shooter mode, this gravity mode was NEGATIVE for them. not some ultimate realization of the humans integrity, its whatever happened in snowdin possibly weighing on their back? maybe they killed, maybe they led someone else to kill, but either way it loops back to them, in one way or another its their fault, and the guilt of it literally weighs on their soul and results in the gravity mode?
like i said in my cyan soul fangame concept, i dont have the means to work on a soul fangame (although id still love to), but i am excited to see how other fangames handle it assuming they do try and lead into yellow

A Drarry reader reads Manacled
Ok, I’m sure there’s been plenty of reviews of this story. But I kind of want to do something maybe a little different. I’m not a Dramione shipper. I only ever read Dramione if a third person is involved—preferably Harry. I love poly stories and the dynamics that arise when three people come together. When I choose stories to read, I also prefer queer characters and queer storylines because that is what I enjoy and can relate to. And mostly my stories are male centric, simply because when I read I want to escape common tropes such as sexism or weaker female characters being saved by a hero. I’ve been fed that story all my life, growing up on Disney or whatnot. I want to read stories where the guy is allowed to be weak and vulnerable, and is allowed to express feelings. I want to read stories where he is the maiden in distress.
So, with all that being said and my personal preference, I still decided to pick up this story. Why? People would not shut up about it.
All right. So let’s try this out. Right away I saw the noncon tag and was like hmmm, kay. I was skeptical because if this story romanticized rape I was going to nope right out of it. It’s fine if it’s like a consensual noncon  roleplaying scene between a dom/sub kinda thing. It’s fine if it’s presented as legitimate trauma a character endures and the steps they take to overcome such an ordeal. I can read dark materials if that is the way it’s shown…so I was willing to give it a chance and see.
And I’ve read 10 chapters in one night. I could read more, but I felt the need to write my thoughts. Please note, I do not know anything about this story. I don’t know how it ends. Ahead will be spoilers and a discussion of the beginning of the story. It’s all my speculation at this point. So, here we go.
I dunno if it’s the years and years of Drarry I’ve read. I’d consider myself a veteran Drarry shipper at this point. I started reading and writing Drarry when I was 13 and I’m 34 now. So yeah, twenty years of stories. So maybe because of this, I’m going to say it: Draco Malfoy isn’t evil.
Let’s recap what’s happened in the first ten chapters with Draco. He apparently killed Dumbledore, though witness accounts are blurry at best. Everyone’s vision’s were obscured at the time it happened. This leads me to believe maybe he didn’t actually do it. Maybe he hesitated, similar to how he did in canon. Why would he do this? Or why would they use the smoke to conceal it?
I think it was all in Dumbledore’s plan to position Draco as Voldemort’s right hand man. Killing Dumbeldore immediately put him in a high regard towards Voldemort, and he’d have no reason to question Draco’s loyalty at that point. Dumbledore’s cursed hand was also mentioned, which also leads me to believe the horcruxes are still present in this story. Does Draco know about the horcruxes? Is Draco the spy in this story instead of Snape? I think he is.
If he’s the spy, then that leads me to my other point. I think there’s a history between him and Hermione. I think together they were trying to come up with a plan to destroy the Death Eaters and Voldemort from the inside. Yet somehow their plan went awry and they lost. Hermione was captured. I think this knowledge that she has of Draco being the spy is the one thing she’s had repressed in her memories. Inside these memories are the plan they came up with together to defeat Voldemort once and for all.
The memories though—it’s all said that she had them locked away by trauma. And perhaps that’s true. But I want to think maybe also, Draco put a memory block on her to protect themselves. Maybe this was his last act he did before Hermione got shut away for all those months. I’m not entirely sure of this theory just yet, but maybe it’s possible.
The food while she’s in confinement—it’s got Draco’s name written all over it. Umbridge left her there fully expecting to discover her months later as a corpse. Draco kept her alive. Draco fed her.
Draco’s marriage to Astoria could have been out of family obligations. I don’t have much else to say about it. Does Astoria know Draco has carried a torch for Hermione all this time? Possibly. It would certainly explain more of the bitterness. Yeah sure, maybe it’s also just cause she’s going to carry Draco’s child and she can’t…but I feel like there’s more there…
The killings—it mentions Draco as the Reeve and how quick and emotionless he is murdering people one right after the other. Unpopular opinion, but I feel like he’s so quick with it because it’s out of mercy for these people. Draco knows that any woman caught by the Death Eaters will potentially be brought up in the repopulation program, or tortured to death. The men will die painfully and slowly if not for him. Him using the killing curse as swiftly as he does is an act of mercy he inflicts on them, knowing that they truly have no means of escape and this is their best outcome to avoid the suffering.
The one thing that sealed the deal for me and made me realize Draco wasn’t evil was his physical reaction to Hermione having a panic attack outside. His fingers are clenched around the newspaper and he’s livid. The way this writer describes this scene is brilliant though, because Hermione thinks this anger is directed at her. I think it’s anger directed at Umbridge though. And in this moment he’s seeing the full extent of how messed up Hermione has become due to the confinement. Instead of forcing her to keep going or take a walk, he tells her to sit down and calm down.
It’s also later in the story he’s angry once more, when he’s ordered to walk with Hermione outside. He poses it as having another chore (“walking his dog”) but I think in reality, he’s angry because he knows this is hard for Hermione. He doesn’t want to stress her anymore than she already has.
Yeah, but he raped her. Ok…and on that…my thoughts.
The rape in this story is not romantic. But it’s not much of anything else either. It’s violating, yes. But there is a clinical feeling to it. Draco barely touches her—almost as if the idea of this disgusts him equally as well. Which, yes, it probably does. But not for the reason they want you to think.
I don’t think he’s disgusted it’s her—a mudblood. I think he’s disgusted that he has been ordered to rape her. He’s disgusted by the system he’s a part of and the role he has to play to keep his role as spy a secret. He’s disgusted that he has to inflict this harm on the woman he cares about. It’s the same way he kills people—he does it quickly, with no emotion, to inflict the least amount of damage as possible.
All right, but he literally mind fucks her later. Yes, another violation. Something he’s also been ordered to do. And it’s convenient, yes? He will know the moment she cracks and his cover could potentially be blown. He’s not ready for that to happen just yet. So he plays it off like the asshole she thinks he is, but it doesn’t all add up. There are bits of Draco’s humanity that shine through but it’s subtle enough for readers and Hermione to not really notice it.
Ok…my only other theory, which I’m kinda going on a hunch here…I think Draco’s feeding her birth control. He controls what she eats and drinks and it’d be so easy to slip something in her food. Yes, she’s only had one month of trying to conceive. It is very possible she could get pregnant later. A lot of women don’t get pregnant in the first month, but a lot do from the first moment of unprotected sex. I’m relieved she’s not pregnant yet. But I think there’s a reason for this, and I think Draco’s got his name all over that too…
But that’s just a hunch. I’ll see. I’ll probably do another review for the next ten chapters, see how wrong I was lol. If you comment, please keep it spoiler free for me. These were just my observations while reading. Thanks (:

I have a question. In sjm latest interview did she said anything about TOG? I mean I know she said we have to read ACOTAR for HOFAS but I don't remember her saying anything about TOG?
And I guess I'm the only one who thinks TOG characters won't make an appearance? Or maybe I just don't want to bc at the end of the day this is Hunt and Bryce story and I don't want any other character from another series to be a hero or have any special focus on their series except CC characters!! I mean I don't have any problem with this whole multiverse but I'd hate it if she tries to make ACOTAR/TOG character highlight of the book!! There are so many ppl out there like me who enjoyed the series without that ending so it would be such a turn off if she makes other characters from another series be the ones who's saving the day yk...
And the fact that ppl are already saying they can't wait for TOG character to save them after IC and Hunt & Bryce fail to win the war like? I know you love them but I don't think (I HOPE SO) sjm would ever do that.
Even tho I think Feyre and Rhysand will travel to CC world bc of their death pack but that isn't even solid. And I feel like Bryce will stay at NC for like 1/4 of the book and if I'm being generous for 1/3 and we know its a huge book so its going to be a lot.
ps: Feysand death pack deal was worded carefully... I mean "leave this world together"? yeah I think it's a little forshadowing of them traveling to Lunathion and that's how they will lose it ig
Ooooh, nice catch on the wording.
I do think it's possible the ACOTAR characters could eventually travel outside their world though I have to say, I'm not a huge fan of the idea of them traveling to a modern place. That would be like the Hobbits from Lord of the Rings traveling to Manhattan, something about it seems off to me 😂 As far as her recent live, she did not mention TOG. In other interviews she said the series is completed and had no plans to pick it back up though she also added in a "but never say never". But I agree with you, I don't think we'll see the TOG characters in CC3 (though I could be wrong on that). And I do think the CC characters will be the ones to defeat the current threat to Midgard in their own series without needing help from the ACOTAR characters. If SJM does bring them together for one big crossover battle, I think that will take place down the line. Where maybe a single Aster escaped or the Asteri, before their defeat were able to connect with "survivors" existing in other worlds and those survivors will try to settle the score against those that defeated their brothers and sisters (Midgard / Prythian). It doesn't seem right that Rhys, Feyre, etc. would be the ones to help Hunt, Bryce, Ruhn, Lidia, etc in the Crescent City series. They already had their big battle in ACOWAR and they shouldn't just walk on page in the Crescent City series as the heroes. Just like it wouldn't be right for Bryce to defeat Koschei, that storyline belongs to the ACOTAR spin-offs and the ACOTAR characters are the ones who have history with him. So if they're going to eventually come to the aid of one another, I think it's got to be against a newly introduced external threat that targets them all at the same time, maybe something we'll discover in a Multi Series Multi POV book, a series or book that could technically stand on it's own.

Video game compare and contrast time!
Another World vs. INSIDE
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ok so I just played the classic 1991 game Another World (also known as Out of This World), and it reminded me a LOT of the 2016 game INSIDE which I played about a year ago -- so much that I'm guessing the creators of INSIDE must have taken some inspiration from Another World.
Apparently I really love whatever type of game this is! And I just felt like doing a compare and contrast of the two games.
SIMILARITIES:
Minimalist gameplay style: 2d action-puzzle platformer with just a few basic controls.
No stats, points, levels, meters, inventories, or other interfaces of any kind.
Fairly short but not too short; can be completed in a few play sessions.
Little to no music, just very effective ambient sounds.
Aesthetically beautiful, with a strong sense of setting, mood, and the feel of the environments.
A protagonist who's surprisingly lifelike, despite not even having facial expressions.
Manages to tell a really immersive story without any dialogue.
The story is open to interpretation, but clear enough to make you WANT to interpret it.
A lot of variety in the puzzles; every stage is different and you wonder what will come next.
Does a good job of building tension and drama.
Lots of narrow escapes.
Trial-and-error gameplay where you're going to die a LOT, but you always get to try again, and it's kind of part of the point to discover how many crazy ways you can die.
A lot of creative worldbuilding that's just ambiguous enough to let you know there's even more going on that you don't see.
A dramatic, surprising, and open ending.
DIFFERENCES:
INSIDE is dark and depressing, heavily dystopian, and maybe-sort-of horror depending on how you define horror. It's really beautiful in its own way, but it also made me cry (and not in a happy way). The deaths are also more realistic and might bother some people, especially since the protagonist is a child. The ending is a lot more sad (and strange).
Another World is an upbeat and colorful sci-fi action adventure. It does have a few survival-horror elements (i.e. everything on the planet wants to kill you), but not in a way that's depressing or disturbing. It's also less realistic and a little more wacky; I wouldn't call it silly but it's got much more of a fun vibe. The ending is not 100% happy but not too sad either, and definitely hopeful.
INSIDE is the sort of story that lends itself toward symbolic and metaphorical interpretations.
Another World is more of just a fun story to take at face value. (Although I'm sure you could still find metaphors in it if you want to, and knowing me I probably will sooner or later. 😂)
INSIDE relies heavily on stealth; the protagonist is small and helpless and the game does an excellent job of making you feel that.
Another World has some stealth elements, but you're also able to fight. You get a weapon and learn how to use it (and it's a very cool one).
While both games are primarily linear storylines, INSIDE has an alternate path with a secret ending.
Another World is one storyline with one ending (but it's engaging enough that I didn't find this to be a problem!)
In INSIDE your character is very alone in his quest (well, except for one possible event, but I won't spoil).
In Another World you make a friend and you get to rescue each other!
Conclusion: If you've played either one of these games, and you liked the gameplay style and story presentation method, I recommend you try the other because you will probably like it too! But if you played one and liked it for the vibe, you might or might not like the other, because the two vibes are very different. Either way, I would consider both games to be masterpieces.

Gallavich Fantasy Prompts - Part 2 🧜🏻‍♂️
Tumblr media
Part 1
Prompts for fics, headcanons, or discussion, art, etc. Interpret these however you like and feel free to use them as just a jumping off point, you don’t have to stick to the exact prompt! If any fics like any of these have already been written, please feel free to recommend them to me!
Ian should be spending his summer vacation in ROTC classes, instead he’s stuck in summer school. Any teenager who can’t control their powers gets sent there to learn how to harness their magic. He’s embarrassed that he still can’t master his magic but things get even worse when he’s paired up with Mickey Milkovich, who not only was trying to give him a beat down a few days ago but is also in the class for the second time. Ian’s definitely going to fail….
It’s a known fact - get beached and you turn into a human. All the merpeople are careful to avoid this. Although, Ian’s never even heard of it actually happening to anyone. But when he accidentally gets trapped in a cave with Mickey Milkovich - he worries they’re about to find out what happens when you turn human. If only Mickey hadn’t chased him, they wouldn’t be in this mess. Mickey maintains it’s Ian’s fault for swimming into this cave when the tide is going out. Now their tails are disappearing and everything is changing….
King Terry has locked all his children in separate towers until the day he can arrange a marriage for them. Isolated and lonely, Mickey spends his days in boredom - until Ian appears in his room. Ian’s been practicing his astral projection but he’s not great at it - he never knows where he’ll end up or for how long. He’s never been able to go to the same place twice but then he keeps ending up in Mickey’s room. Over time, they begin to fall in love but how can they be together?
Ian only comes to the lake because it’s quiet and no one else is ever there. Mickey is much the same, wanting to get away from the terrors of home. Being half-mer he can change from human to merman easily and he spends hours in the water. Terry would kill him if he ever found out he was embracing his mother’s heritage like this. But one day he’s spotted by a guy sitting on the dock and he’s immediately worried. Ian doesn’t know why they can’t just share the lake or why they can’t be friends.
(Vaguely inspired by Oz’s storyline in BTVS S4) Being a werewolf is rare but not completely uncommon. Ian’s not met a lot of other werewolves and the ones he has met with, he can’t really connect with. Until one night where he encounters another werewolf in the abandoned buildings - they spend the night play fighting in the moonlight, connecting on a level Ian didn’t think was possible. Exhausted they collapse into a deep sleep. When they wake, Ian is shocked to discover he is curled up to Mickey. But why didn’t Mickey tell Ian he was a werewolf also? All this time they’ve been hooking up and he’s never mentioned this secret.
Ian’s just told Mickey he’s leaving for the army but on the way out of the Milkovich house he encounters Terry. Livid that Ian is seemingly still hanging around Mickey - he turns him into a cat. Scared and disorientated in his new animal form, Ian goes to his siblings but none of them take any interest in the stray cat. Reluctantly, he goes to Mickey, hoping that he will somehow sense the ginger cat is Ian. Will Mickey realise the cat is Ian? And will he be able to help turn Ian back to his human form?
Accidentally caught in the crossfire of someone else’s drama, Mickey finds himself trapped in a genie bottle. Possibly for life, or maybe not that long considering Ian stumbles, literally, across the bottle minutes later. Quickly discovering that Mickey appears every time he rubs the bottle, Ian realises that he’s got three wishes to use. But he’s heard horror stories of wishes gone wrong, so he needs to think very carefully about what to wish for. Before long, Ian is rubbing the bottle two or three times a day, at first to discuss wishes but then just because he likes talking to Mickey. But Mickey wants out of the bottle and the only way to do so is if someone wishes for it but he’s forbidden from asking, so he’s just gonna have to hope that Ian does of his own free will….
Rare Creature Identification. It’s an additional EMT training course that everyone has to take. Treating humans is easy in comparison to the multitude of different magical creatures that they may come across on a daily basis, so all EMTs need to know how to identify and treat a magical creature. Ian’s nervous though - Sue’s descriptions of the guy who teaches the course are a bit worrying. She tells him he’s got an encyclopaedic knowledge but he’s kinda rude and grumpy. Rough around the edges. Ian tells himself it’ll be fine, that there’ll be loads of other people and he can just sit in the back. But when he gets there….he’s the only one taking the course.
Being a vampire is more boring than Mickey imagined. And a lot more organised. Who knew he’d get a mentor and be required to live with said mentor for a whole six months to ‘adjust to being undead’? At first glance his mentor, Ian, seems a bit too good and nice to be a card carrying member of the undead, and Mickey is looking forward to pushing his buttons and seeing how much he can mess around. But Ian’s not all that he seems. In fact, he’s starting to push Mickey’s buttons….
Ian and Mickey form an accidental telepathic bond and it makes working at the Kash and Grab….difficult. After all, it’s not just that they can now communicate telepathically, they can also hear each other’s thoughts. And it turns out, they’ve both got a lot of thoughts about each other.
Mickey’s good at keeping secrets - after all, sneaking around with Gallagher has given him a lot of practice. There is one secret he’s struggling to hide though. Something that makes him different, something that makes him weird. He has wings. White, fluffy, feathery wings. Most of the time they’re two small bumps on his back, just below his shoulders, but when extended they’re big and long. The problem is…now that he and Ian are kissing, they’re also touching more…and Ian’s hands keep going dangerously close to Mickey’s back……
Ian’s new neighbour is hot. But he’s kinda aloof, rude even. Not interested in Ian’s attempts at flirting. So Ian backs off. Then the dreams start - intense sexual, erotic dreams. Mickey doesn’t realise he’s doing it at first, sharing Ian’s dreams with him, but then he realises that these fantasies are not his but Ian’s. It’s just a thing that happens when you’re an incubus - he gains strength from the dreams. But he feels awkward, this has never happened before (he’s done so well suppressing his incubus side) and he can’t quite believe someone as attractive as Ian has thoughts like this about Mickey.
Everyone thinks Mickey Milkovich is liar. That his blog which documents ghost sightings is fake. It’s got to be, right? Ghosts don’t exist. And despite Mickey’s claim that he’s invented a way to photograph them, it’s so obviously a hoax. Still, Ian’s been asked by his editor to interview Mickey for a feature on local mythology and hoaxes. Getting a chance to talk to Mickey is difficult as he’s suspicious of everyone but once Ian does….he finds Mickey surprisingly convincing.
Ian’s landlord keeps calling the exterminator for his property. And it’s annoying the fuck out of Ian. It doesn’t matter to him that the pixies are annoying or that they are slowly but surely damaging things. They shouldn’t be exterminated. It’s not fair. Mickey is the exterminator who keeps having to come back time and time again because Ian’s some kinda pixie rights activist. Eventually the landlord comes up with an unusual plan, he’ll pay Mickey to stay for a week in the property with Ian and get rid of the pixies for good. Over the week….both Ian and Mickey start to forget all about the pixies…..
Ian is a siren who wants to be good, he doesn’t want to lure anyone to their doom or hurt anyone in anyway. And he hasn’t. Sure, he’s a bit lonely but he’s got his favourite rock where he likes to sit at night and that’s enough. Then the bored and isolated lighthouse keeper takes an interest in him - watching him, trying to talk to him, each night coming closer and closer. Ian is worried he’s somehow accidentally luring this man to him. What neither of them know is that Mickey is immune to Ian’s siren call…but will they figure this out or lose the opportunity for both of them to have some happiness?
Mickey’s supposed to follow his father into the family business - stealing magic from witches and selling it for profit. Illegal but a common practice for those born without magic. The first time Mickey goes along to observe his father, he realises he’ll never be able to steal magic like that. Still, he has to pretend so that he won’t face his father’s wrath. Then he meets Ian, a powerful witch, whose magic would provide them income for a year or more. But he falls in love….and something strange starts to happen - Mickey develops magic. How can he hide this from his father and how can he convince Ian that he was never, ever going to steal his magic?
Ian’s new to being a demon and he’s not loving it. So far he’s been summoned repeatedly by some dumbass teenager who keeps ordering him to do random acts of violence around a certain neighbourhood in Chicago. This is not exactly what he thought would happen. This guy, Mickey, doesn’t have a lot of imagination - it’s all destroy this, trash that, break this etc etc. Ian’s not feeling very inspired. But he does find Mickey to be interesting and, wanting to spend more time with him, he allows Mickey to summon him into corporeal form which leads to a very entertaining night.

[FanCasting] My Little Pony: The Live Action (2024) by ©iannis / n66x
Now that the 'Live Action' movies are on a rise, I thought it'd be fun to visualize what a 'Live Action' Adaptation of the 'My Little Pony: The Movie (1986)' could possibly look like~!
Here is my 'Dream Cast' for this project:
Tumblr media
Melissa McCarthy as Hydia Chris Rock as Spike Danny DeVito as The Moochick Mckenna Grace as Megan Jaeden Martell as Danny Mykal Michelle Harris As Molly Maya Hawke as Draggle Nicola Coughlan as Reeka
I think it would be so bizarre, weird and funny if Hasbro ever made a 'Live Action' with a mixture of 3D ponies with real human actors, I can already picture how epic this could turn out with the right direction, and maybe it would also spawn a new generation of 'My Little Pony' toys based on the G1 characters, now that would be worth it just for that alone, right??!! lol.
[Edit]: I've now updated the cast with three more additional characters that are non-existent in the original series, but I think would make up for nice additions:
Tumblr media
Nico Parker as Big Sister Henry Cavill as Dad Thandiwe Newton as Mom
The way I imagine it is, the parent characters having just bought the farm that we see Megan attending to a horse in the 'Rescue from Midnight Castle (1984)' movie, I think expanding the storyline of the human family a bit will make the movie more approachable for a larger audience, the Mom and Dad characters having brought their new life together to the farm, where their children, as they get familiar between them, discover a way to visit the Ponyland, then perhaps at some point they can also bring back some of the baby ponies to the farm and shelter the forest creatures to protect them from the Smooze, also put the sea ponies in the bathtub of the farm, etc, and then the parents discovering their existence for the first time when they're all crammed in their farm like this, I think that would be quite funny and cute… Farmboy Henry Cavill with a mustache in Cowboy attire nursing and bottle feeding baby ponies wrapped in blankets??!! Now that would be cinema gold, lol!!!

Okay let’s talk about this for a hot minute. First - it’s the daily mail so I don’t believe a word they say. The purpose of the daily mail is to create drama and create things that typically don’t exist. Here’s further proof this article is basically BS:
1. The source says that the “screenwriter” is not happy. They are indicating in this article that it is all Shonda. Shonda is not a “screenwriter” on Bridgerton. According to her IMDB page she has ZERO writing credits for Bridgerton. So…this was my first red flag.
2. Everything that they’ve actually said about season 3 so far (which isn’t much) indicated that this season was going to be much more light hearted and more like a rom com. Season 1 and 2 both had dark-ish plots (Simon and Anthony’s histories). I say ish because I didn’t really view them as dark storylines but if I had to choose those were the really deep more dramatic backstory. Let’s dig more deeply into Romancing Mister Bridgerton, shall we?
In Colin and Penelope’s story there isn’t anything dark. At all. Even Colin’s backstory isn’t dark. It’s basically him seeking out his purpose and traveling. Even Pen being LW isn’t a dark storyline in the books. Now…that all being said I could imagine that if they wanted to make the show more dramatic there are some storylines that could potentially turn darker. Because Colin is fearful for Pens safety after he discovers she’s LW they could potentially have Penelope in some type of dangerous situation. Or if they choose to incorporate Cressida maybe she hires people to take Pen out. Extreme. I know. And not at all plausible as this article mentions that it’s a sex plot.
Looking at Colin and Pen’s sexual relationship in the book there really isn’t anything other than love and passion in my opinion. Colin can however come off as possessive (although I wouldn’t say dominating) so I could possibly see the potential with the plot lines we do know about that Colin becomes extremely jealous and dominating and it could play out sexually. I don’t think this is a route they would have gone down anyway but it is possible. While season one was fairly similar to the book, they definitely did deviate for season two. But with how they wanted more of a rom com feel I doubt that they would even attempt a dark storyline especially a sexy storyline.
Another possibility is the storyline mentioned in the article has nothing to do with Colin and Penelope. They’re not the only couple having sexy times on this show. Made me curious if maybe one of the newer characters (the widow perhaps) has a side plot line and that’s where this is coming from. We’ve also seen the potential for Benedict going down a darker path.
The way it actually says sex plot line which seems to me like more than just a scene. That it would play into multiple episodes. This whole article just gives me the creeps honestly because I don’t put any stock in it. But wanted to posit some theories if by chance there is any truth to it. I honestly think they put this out because there’s been nothing put out there about the show as we all know. I am sure it is not abnormal for shows to become delayed for any number of reasons so if they found out there were delays this is what they came up with.

Something New Danmaged (Killer sans)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, there were 2 concepts i was making for this take right here
One i started making along with Flambeworm370, but later on had a little bit of help of Low_Tus on it, which was cool, i will explain in a little bit
And the other concept i made alone, and that i was maybe, maybe not turn it into something more elaborated, but eh, just made 2 stupid fnf song concepts for it instead of actually working on the take lmao
But anyways, the first concept is meant to be kinda of a "fixed" version of Killer sans, or at least a version that tries to be a bit more grounded and, i guess interesting? Eh just a version that is less of a dusttale sans knockoff really lmao The concept was that in this take of Something New, it follows the story of a player of Undertale deciding to try and make a modded version of the game where he would be able to play as other characters aside from Frisk, to try and see how cool it could possibly be if he, for example, did a pacifist route as playing toriel. Which would be cool right? Well, would if the first thing that the guy tried to do wasn't trying to make a genocide route while playing as Sans. Yeah, the concept would follow the story of the Player forcibly shoving his control onto Sans, and making him commit a genocide route, as the character itself, different from Frisk that is a perfect vessel, would begin to slowly break down into an absolute ruined husk as the player would continue to force Sans to murder everyone. The gameplay would show sans slowly beginning to degrade as the kills build up, with his colors growing darker and more dull, while his expression would slowly morph into one of pure insanity, with the ending of the game actually surrounding around the idea of the game forcing the control of the player out from Sans moments before he could be able to finish the genocide run, putting the player to play as Frisk once more as he would have to face the now distorted version of Sans that he created himself in the judgement hall.
That would be the idea, i tried to develop it for a long while along with Flambe before Low_Tus began to take interest on it and suggesting a few things on how i could improve the storyline and designs, until i eventually stopped working on the take as a whole.
The second concept that i made alone has points related to the old concept, but doesn't fully reuses it My second take on Something New would follow, again, a player managing to take control over Sans and forcing him to do a genocide run. But the story would actually focus on the aftermath of the event, as the plot point that would start the story would be the player using some of the functions that Sans has to go to the core and make the entire thing explode. Why? I don't know, the player was a psycho lol After the core would explode, the story would follow what happened next, as Sans would find himself in the middle of the snowdin forest, not being able to remember what happened, as he would slowly begin to venture through the now destroyed underground, slowly taking hints at what could possibly have happened as he would slowly begin to remember about a certain "target symbol" that could perhaps be the answer as to what had happened down in the underground for it to be not only empty, but completely wrecked. The journey would be simple, walk around with Sans around the empty destroyed underground, and try to find hints to slowly discover what happened while also trying to remember where exactly did Sans see that "target symbol" he keeps on remembering, and it would go like that for a while until the ending would be the big revelation. The ending would happen after Sans manages to get back to hotland, going inside the ruins of what were Alphys' lab, and managing to find a way inside the True Lab, to which inside he would be able to find a bunch of tvs and a bunch of tapes, as Sans would go to watch tape to tape and discover that they were recordings from Alphys' hidden cams from all around the underground, to which all of them would have managed to record not only Sans being taken control over an "external force", but also the moments Sans went on to murder everyone in the underground out of nowhere. This would be the ending for the story, as by the moment Sans would finish watching the last tape, he would keep on watching the blue menu screen of the VHS before slowly snapping at what he had saw, with black liquid beginning to leak out from one of his eyes as all he can yell to himself would be "IT WASN'T ME"
And that's the end of the story, it wasn't meant to have any explanation as to how did the player take control over sans, or why they decided to kill everyone, as the point of the story was to display the aftermath only, the slowly spiral into insanity that sans would go through as he's left clueless to the fact he was the one that made his entire kind go extinct, not that it was actually him but, it's not like he would be able to guess that there was someone controlling him.
A little fun fact about this version is that, during some point on the story Sans would develop constant migraines and headaches, with Sans soon discovering that the reason his head was hurting so much was because of one of his eyes, which made his head hurt so much to the point that Sans wouldn't be able to handle the pain anymore, and shove his hand inside his eye-socket, forcibly pulling his Judgement Eye out and throwing it on the floor, discovering that his Judgement eye had turned fully red. That would be the reason of why Sans is missing an eye, he pulled it out by not being able to handle the massive head-aches it was making him have.

Sorry if this sounds dumb but doesn't little nightmares 2 happen after little nightmares 1? Like it's not a prequel to the first game right? Six escaped the maw and ended up on land where she them met Mono. I was watching a YouTube video that explained the games timeline.
Six acquired the yellow raincoat at the end of the mobile game after the other girl died. She then went into the water and got picked up by the ferryman and taken to the maw.
So I'm kind of confused lol. It would kind of make sense if Six's hunger was caused by the thin man but only if little nightmares 2 happened before the first game and I don't think it did. It's just as likely that Six's hunger could be a symptom that's unique to her, just like the strange powers Mono has are unique to him. Since all the creepy adults/monsters are unique and have their own individual abilities I think it would be the same for the kids.
Runaway Kid was extremely intelligent and kind of a nome whisperer lol. Mono has weird frequency powers and can travel through tvs. And Six seems to have a very fast metabolism which might allude to other abilities that we haven't seen yet, like maybe she can change her form/size under certain circumstances? We see her playing with the music box when Mono first finds her and then later after being taken by the Thin Man, so I don't think that's a coincidence.
Thoughts?
Little Nightmares 2 takes place before 1. It is a prequel.
I don't know if the Mobile game is canon or not. It wasn't made by Tarsier Studios, but it was funded by the same IP owner Bandai Co (who now, unfortunately, holds full rights which is why Tarsier is no longer working with them since they were bought by Embracer and Embracer refused to lose money to continue the LN franchise) That being said, however, just because the raincoat was seen floating in the ocean doesn't mean Six picked it up. I think it was meant to be a heavy visual to imply the girl in the white shorts is Six. The last we see of her is making her way down the mountain to a row boat below. We never see her actually pick up the raincoat. If you want to include the Mobile Game, Six somehow ends up on the The Nest (a mansion in the middle of the ocean) then rows her way presumably to land, where LN2 takes place, and then later is brought back out to sea on the Maw in LN1. The mobile game, official games, and comics have contradictory information in terms of Six's origins or rather, world-building as a whole.
if you look at old & scrapped game files on youtube, (X) and (X) Little Nightmares 2 may not have always been a planned prequel. It shows that Mono was originally going to meet a long-haired Six in an apartment in the city. At some point, she was gonna cut her hair. There's also a scene where Six is sloppily eating something in the apartment fridge, ignoring Mono. We may have even met a shadow Six earlier on. I think its safe to say the writers don't have a full understanding of their own universe, so if you don't understand something, its possible the creators didn't know what they were doing from the start and just sort of made things intentionally vague merely for the horrific mystery of it all? They were even considering adding the barber character, the one hinted to be Seven's old antagonist before the Maw (since his long hair is his style) I think even some of Mono's breathing audio was actually originally used for Seven in the LN1 DLC too (discovered this while I was editing that Channel Change video together) Anyway long story short Little Nightmares 2 is indeed the indicated prequel (even if it wasn't initially planned to be) It is unclear if Very Little Nightmares could be considered canon (Canon to Bandai, unsure if canon to Tarsier) tho canon or not, it doesn't necessarily interfere with the main game storyline regardless so it's pretty harmless as it stands;
As for powers:
I've been thinking about the Raincoat Girl / Five from the mobile game. Not sure what powers she has but I'd be delighted to explore that someday.
I have a BIG headcanon for Seven that I will elaborate on in the near future Mono has everything to do with tvs it seems. He can travel from tv to tv (signal to signal), he can time travel (reverse and fast-forward) he has minor telekinesis that can be transmitted to a larger range depending on electrical current flow throughout the city (?signals?) He has hypnosis (? people are attracted to him if there are no tvs ?) As for Six, we know nothing about her before she split into shadow Six. Shadow Six, or her hunger rather, took her to the Maw. When she reached the Lady and ate her, she inherited the Lady's powers, which appear to be soul-sucking/eating (along with maybe shadow proxies, youth-sucking/nome creation, and shadow teleportation) I have no idea what powers Six could have held prior to her hunger pains. (Some people have theorized that the Lady is much like The Thin Man, where she could potentially be a grown-up Six from another timeline, so Six and her would have always had similar powers in that aspect, but to prove such a theory is outlandishly difficult since we know so little about Six or the looping timelines.)

what is your prediction for each of the siblings storylines?
If I’m being honest, I really haven’t been doing that much thinking into this outside of fanfiction, purely because with s2 I did make my own predictions and was let down, but I’ll give it a go
Luther, I think has been thoroughly disillusioned by Reginald by this point, but I think because of that he’ll try be the one to bridge the gap with the Sparrows because of that. Luther knows first hand what it’s like to believe in Reginald so blindly, and with that I do want to see Luther come to terms with the isolation he was forced into by Reginald, and that need for a father figure in his life
Outside of that, for Luther, I’d want to see Luther bond more with Klaus and Viktor (which is looking hopeful for s3), and for them to finally stop trying to make Allison and Luther a thing, please god, just let them be friends.
Diego, now for Diego I think being back in 2019 again is going to be a lot harder on him than realised. There’s a chance Eudora is still alive (likely a massive chance), and Grace is also here, and that’s keeping in mind that Diego was in the 60s for a few months and those losses are still relatively recent, but now he has to face them as a stranger, maybe even an enemy in Grace’s case, and I can see that taking a toll on him over the course of the season. And that’s without adding Sparrow Ben into the equation.
And of course, Lila’s back too, and maybe given she knows a little something about the person you care for not being who you thought they were they can talk over that, and maybe help each other too
Allison, oh Allison, we’re really in it now. Allison has the biggest reason to go back to their timeline, and still has the most to lose. She left the 60s to see her daughter again, and has now had that ripped from her all over again, and I think that’s going to lead to desperation
Allison will do whatever it takes to get back to Claire, and so I think in a neat little parallel to the comics she ends up joining Five to infiltrate the Commission for a way back to their own timeline and maybe even ends up dragged into doing a Commission Job in exchange for information on how to get back
Paired with the fact, I want to see Allison use her powers more, I think a scene where Allison tries to rumour them all back, but fails (maybe because of wording, maybe because it’s outside the realm of possibility for her powers) would be absoultely devastating and I’d need ten to fifteen business days to even start recovering
To tinish on Allison, I want to see her and Five paired up, both in desperation to help their family, both wanting to get back to 2019 and both prepared to do whatever it takes in order to do so
Klaus, if @i-seeaspaceshipinthe-sky and I are right - death lmao, but on a more serious note I do believe Klaus is going to discover his immortality, and maybe more of his powers this season, likely accidentally, but Klaus is struggling, he’s in a bad place after s2, and there really is no way someone who is already self-destructive isn’t going to push to see how far they can go when they’re at their absolute lowest so far.
(There’s absolutely no way I can see Klaus dancing in the middle of road, and then having tyre marks on the same jacket as something that isn’t slightly testing his immortality basically)
I do think that self-destruction is going to lead Klaus maybe to Reginald, and I do think that Klaus will be dealing more with the fear caused by his powers because of that (and maybe because of Christopher too) but I don’t see Reginald even inadvertly helping Klaus with his powers rather he’d be a detriment if anything
And that leads to my final (I promise) paragraph abouit Klaus, of all the siblings, I do think he’d be most tempted to seek out his timeline’s self to see how a Klaus not raised by Reginald has faired and how he would deal with his power (hence Five travelling to Pennsylvania, no I won’t shut up about this)
Five, boy oh boy, this man is going to snap and we’re all going to be witnesses to Five finally coming undone from stress. I feel like outwardly Five is going to be like, “Yeah, fuck it, world’s ending again, and it’s our fault again and I’m tired, and dear god when willl this end, I can’t do this anymore, please figure this one out yourselves” and then does the absolute most to ensure they get back to 2019 whilst having the weirdest time (tm)
And by doing the absolute most. I mean the absolute most. This man would join the Sparrow Academy, work with the Commission again, even help Reginald if it meant getting his siblings back to safety again. And I can see him doing it. So I kinda want to see Five come to terms that he can everything possible by himself, but unless his siblings meet him halfway, he can’t always win
Viktor. If s3 is not Viktor absolultely wrecking shit up for the Sparrows at every possible moment then I do not want it. Jokes aside, Viktor’s storyline is absolutely in the perfect place for him to realise who he is, and to finally be the person he was meant to be. He can finally reflect on his life, without his emotions being repressed or having it bombarded into his mind in seconds.
I also think that Harlan is somehow going to factor in to S3 in some way, and that Viktor will find out that Harlan did still have powers when they left the 60s, and what happened to him because he still had those powers (I have many, many thoughts about the figure Harlan plays with being a sparrow and the name Sparrow Academy) and the consequences of that
