would you wanna talk more about the poetry you almost got published? 🥺

omg ….. yes ….. wtf yes jsjfsjdj okay wait i’m gonna try and control my response bc . i rly don’t think i should go on abt everything i wanna mention (update: i didn’t rly control my response that much i just spared you like . the nitty gritty of my poems/poetry specifically) if you don't wanna read what i have to say as i gush abt poetry for several paragraphs, you prob don't wanna click the read more jdfgsjldk

but i wrote a poetry chapbook (a collection of poems) a few years ago and it was entirely based on flowers!! so yknow how flowers have meanings? i found 50 diff flowers with all different meanings and i wrote a poem about each flower !! and a lot of the poems are like . some of my best work like some of them i read out loud and i literally can’t finish without crying or like i notice lil things i did and i’m like DAMN that was clever 😭😭😭

and i submitted it to a couple of publishers that were doing chapbook contests and if you won you got a cash prize and you got published! and i didn’t win THOSE but i wasn’t super discouraged bc like . i was 20 . i was up against like . Adults like full blown adults who were probs seasoned poets so i was like fine w it bc it’s good practice anyway!! but so somehow i got the idea to just. submit directly to an agency and i kinda forgot abt it for a while and then one day i got a Thick Packet in the mail from them (which, as i know from my college application days, is usually a very good sign) and !!! when i opened it, i flipped out bc i’d gotten a publishing offer!!!!!!! at 20!!!!! like that was insane to me and my mom and i freaked out abt it and i texted my old gc from college (we all took the same advanced poetry class) and told them and they were super excited for me!!!!

i didn’t end up taking it, though, bc like . the agency said basically that bc i’m young and previously unpublished and wouldn’t have had a pre-existing audience (all valid concerns to have as a publishing agency obviously) that it was more of a risky endeavor to publish me so they offered to publish me if i gave them like . basically at least 2k i think it was 2400 or 2700 … i’ll check i still have the emails and pics of the correspondence but like . again . i was 20 !! i was working at a pretty poorly paid job like . i literally had no disposable income to save up :/ like p much all my money went to helping my mom with bills, my transportation to and from work, food on my lunch breaks, and like . a fraction of it would go to like . living my life and trying to have a fragment of fun yknow?

so i ended up not taking the deal bc i couldn’t afford it :////// was super bummed abt that part but like it’s all good!!

and then like maybe a year or 2 later i submitted the same chapbook (i think i had to select 30 poems to meet the page limit) to a small publishing press that specifically centered around lgbt+ women i think? and during the height of the BLM movement, they did a kind of contest but they waived the fee for any black poets so i figured there was literally no harm in trying yknow? and they answered me a whiiiile later (which was fine !! they were a small literary press and i wasn’t in a rush) and while they didn’t pick me for the winner, they gave me like . super touching praise !!! it meant the world to me !!!

i loooooooove poetry i love writing it it’s like the only time i actually allow myself to process my emotions and thoughts? like my writing fiction is escapism and daydreamy but my writing poetry is very cathartic and personal and rooted in My Feelings !! plus, writing poetry is in a way more freeing in that you don’t have to follow all the linguistic rules bc it’s your form and you can do what you want !! but at the same time it can be a lil more daunting for that exact same reason like . there are NO rules so pretty much Everything You Do should serve a purpose !! but yeah i really love writing poetry and talking abt my poems and stuff and :) yeah :D my mom and i were talking the other day and she rly wanted me to like . join a creative writing poetry club or like somewhere where i can talk abt and share my poetry !!! which rly does sound so cool and awesome but like again . Shy . what if i get there and i feel super inferior to everyone else 😭😭😭 what if i get there and they just like . fuckin hate me for idk what reason 😭😭😭 it’s a lot it is stressful i am Tense abt it but i wanna do it sooooo badly omg

hhhhh yeah 💖 i think poetry-writing-me is the most honest/authentic version of me i’ve ever met tbh :p like i’ve always kinda struggled w like my personal identity and like Who I Am bc i usually just like . adapt to ppl and groups and situations as i see fit and i’m typically extremely good at it !! but it makes me tense sometimes bc i know there are things i’m holding back to like . appear more palatable ig? but when i write poetry it’s not like i’m proving myself to anyone or trying to . impress anyone idt like . it’s just for me . it’s like dancing when no one’s watching you!! actually i saw a quote the other day that was like. “who are you in a dark room with no mirrors” or smth and that . punched me right in the gut ngl i was like Damn Who Am I For Real……

but yeah poetry me is like . the closest i’ve felt to that situation !! more so like the stuff i wrote after my poetry classes bc like . i was aware the poems were gonna be read by my peers and my professor so i couldn’t . rly . go into intense detail abt just how Not Okay I Was jdjfksdk my teacher was extremely perceptive as it was like . she clocked me on smth i didn’t think she was gonna notice and then when she directly asked me abt it i remember i literally just. burst into tears sjfjdjdj and then moving forward i like !!! FAKED getting better in a poem like i wrote a whole poem abt how i’d started fixing that issue bc i knew she would see it and i didn’t want her to worry sjfjdjdj but surprise . i was not okay . i was Lying 👀 was being sneaky in a silly goofy mood 💖

my scorpio moon was not fucking around that day she got found out and was like “oh never again” and buried the emotion far far underground 💖

okay i digress and im sure i gave you way more than you anticipated or asked for so . yes 💖 thank you for asking i love talking abt this stuff 💖

It was so weird, I saw W*lker trending but at 45 minutes in it said it was about 8000 tweets only? And there were a couple other things from the ep I guess that trended briefly, like Rick Ranger and Winchester Auto, but they number of tweets didn't show and they only lasted a couple minutes. Can promoters buy tweets on the trending page? There were just so few relatively and I was surprised it showed up at all.

Yup I been tracking this while at work like a competitive sport across like a dozen analytics clients. So a few things:

- yes, tweets can be paid for, in multiple ways. Paid trends will show as paid trends. Tweets also can be upsold individually, I haven’t checked if any were tonight. It raises visibility of an individual tweet.

- It was not a paid trend, that’s for sure; but there may have been a paid tweet; but, that wasn’t needed.

- Because it’s sweeps, Jared has been livetweeting the last few weeks to try to boost engagement. Knowing there’d be an inevitable boost in trend value last week, we lightly crossfertilized TheWhiteWalker. Because sweeps. And there CAN be a time that engagement is bad engagement. Most specifically, when your trend is bumping between celebrities/entertainment and politics because people are talking about copaganda, border camps and stuff like that as keywords, advertisers are going to side eye that a bit.

- This week we did not, because we already did that work and there’s plenty of data laid out for them to mine already on that with the cross linked tags. This time, Jared tweeted again, but even with his livetweets, the engagement this week is even lower than episode 2 when he wasn’t livetweeting. Their value is literally half of last week.

- But the livetweeting does account for the spike paid tweet or not, because as I always preach to everyone while helping friends organize trends, it’s all about the sharp spikes. Big actor drops hashtag and 50 people reply, half with the tag, and immediately again and again in a few minutes, you just cranked out like a thousand in a few minutes, and there’s your trend value. Boom. Every tweet he drops--and the other major influencers I tracked (unsurprisingly winbros and fangasm) all hold that power.

Of the 9.5K tweets by the episode end (over the day, the ep peak itself on the hour was 6.5K), there was a large cluster of accounts dropping 20-30 tweets each (about 30) -- so there’s like 750 of the tweets right there, for an example. So about 10% of the value alone is the same cluster of 30 accounts responding to those three big hitter accounts when they drop tags. Then, after that, another 30 accounts or so are dropping 10-20, so there’s 450 right there. Now, basic math tells you those 60 accounts alone account for about 1200 of the tweets. Okay, so we’re at 1200 tweets. The thing this isn’t accounting for, however, is that a great deal of tweets are also retweets, those count as tweets. How many RTs does Jared have? People’s pics have? well of jared’s 16 tweets, they average about 150-250 RTs. Let’s say 200 x 15. 3000. Okay. So there’s 4200 of your tweets.

That’s not counting the top fans having about 13 RTs on their stuff and a few several more, or the ads themselves--

Now minding most of his replies are going to be from those prolific accounts I pointed out, and there’s a few hundred “nah” style passes on ads, or promos from them, we’ll round that to about 6000 (esp since I actually under-rounded Jared’s RTs in his benefit to begin with).

Of the 9.5K over the day until that point, not even the 6.5K peak, 6000 of that can be tracked to... basically about 70 accounts. I’m not even kidding.

On the below chart, “0″ is the current week, -1 is last week (Jared was livetweeting), -2 was ep 2 (was not live tweeting), -3 was the premiere. This won’t be fully up to date for a few days basically because it has to roll the projections but it’s pretty clear even with the livetweeting it settled below episode 2 (no livetweeting from Jared).

in the 9-10 PM est hour it had already dropped to the level last week still was holding value at around 11PM EST last week. It’s now 11EST, and it’s already almost 200 under where it was at midnight EST last week or a third down even on afterbuzz with all the celeb tweeting.

I’m sure, since I had to tap this out over an hour or two at work, as evidenced by the timelines I’m responding to, some of the earliest numbers actively changed in the midst of this, but that peak never came back up. I’m sure fans kept tweeting, the active ones, and added a few more numbers to their bundles and a few more randos wandered in, but genuinely speaking, this is... not good for sweeps, live tweet boost or not.

(they now have 14.4K on the day, for example, in the like 3 hours I was writing this and the second airing pacific to mind--they were at 14.4 early first airing last week, to put it in scale. Landed near 25-26K. But then scale up how Jared and everyone’s RTs have climbed, who’s continued to post, etc, and you end up with a similar result.)

2021 Megaman Valentine’s Day Contest Results

Among the many things this past year or so has tested us with is delays, and I apologize that this year’s Valentine’s Day contest results are included in that. I certainly did not plan on this taking until March to get completed, and I am sincerely sorry to have kept you all waiting. But hopefully it is all worth the wait!!

Thanks once again to every single one of you who participated! I will be contacting the winners soon enough. Work will probably keep me from replying to everyone immediately, but I will send a message about prizes hopefully within 24 hours.

Also, my thanks to @subzeroiceskater for helping out with judging this year. Not to mention the promo pic above and other assorted bonuses that always bring me a big smile. I might say this seemingly every year, but you all made judging this VERY hard. It might have something to do with the themes as well, but I think both of us flipped and rearranged our rankings repeatedly, and even then, it was hard to decide on who would place. XD Each one of you did an amazing job!

After the break, you’ll see the winners for both categories, along with all of the entries. Raffle prize winners will be noted below by their alias, as well.

Category 1: Kiss From a Rosered (Talent)

For our talent category this year, the theme focused on your favorite Megaman characters giving roses to their special someone, along with incorporating the symbolism of specific rose colors within the piece. That rose color was also to be the predominant color within the piece, to the best of your ability.

I love the depth, angle, and color grading of these—notice how Roll’s black linework is at the forefront of the pic but colors mixes with the lights and colors from the sun further along the pic. There’s a lot to admire about how everything easy to read with so many competing elements like the similar hues and bright lighting.

Pink roses usually mean a gentler sort of love but did you know that different shades of pink could signify different things as well? A darker shade may mean gratitude; medium shade could be about a first love or congratulations while a light shade may mean admiration. Tron holding a singular pink rose with varying shades of pink while literally tripping over herself and a Servbot could only mean—that this is hilarious.

From a technical standpoint, I think your piece clearly felt the most polished, crisp and virtually professional of the bunch. But more than that, I felt it also best gave off the vibe of the rose color dominating the piece, but in very subtle, beautiful ways. Where as the pink sunset causes many of the normally white areas, like Roll’s collar/sleeves, parts of Gustaff, and more, to ooze that pink lighting. Even with her klutziness, you still also portrayed the feeling of sweetness, admiration and appreciation that a pink rose conveys. Just so pretty, calming, and joyful to look at!

There is a sort of gentle irony with how Skull Man and Shade Man are both robots modeled after horror symbols—skulls and vampires—but are here surrounded by a soft sea of pink roses. The dark night is often depicted as a primal fear because it hides our deepest fears but here—illuminated by the bright shining moon—the night is transformed into a scene of love—perhaps devotion, with how Shade is gently cradling Skull, as well with the church bell in the background. This is a very tender piece mixing the shadows and the sweet.

I know most digital art programs have the brushes and shortcuts to make detailing things like roses a lot easier, but your bed of roses certainly look all done by hand on your own, and that alone impressed me a ton! Based off of the Ariga Megamix tale of Skull Man not feeling appreciated or having a family after Cossack stored him away, I felt the pink roses and Shade showing him that he is actually appreciated here was a fantastic conceptual choice. Purples in the sky and Shade’s body split the canvas and contrast with the pink well, including how you used the pink for some of the stars in the sky. Beautiful job!

Yellow is a bright color, often evoking the sun, warmth, light, joy and hope. With roses, its positive connotations continue with possible meanings of friendship, care and remembrance. Tabby’s piece seems to evoke the last one the strongest—with Zero, broken and forgotten in a lab—but, not entirely, because of a bond that is stronger than apparent death lives on—even if in this moment, it’s only a memory. Even the roses are not real—just projections of what was once alive. This is fantastic use contrast with the dark, moody blues against the vivid, almost defiant yellows; and the repeated little motifs such as X crying and the water drops falling all over Zero. It stands out from the rest of happy entries with how sad it is but it still manages to be hopeful.

Zero’s blonde locks certainly are an iconic part of his design, so playing off of that and focusing on yellow as your rose color fit perfectly. You definitely made this a very emotive piece considering technically, neither of these two are even alive and moving here! As mentioned above, the little details like the water droplets balancing against Cyber Elf X’s tears, the digital lines to make it appear like X has created the cyber-roses for Zero, and Zero’s battle damage caught my eye immediately. You certainly captured the yellow rose symbolism of remembrance and friendly affection beautifully!!

It’s so poetic about how this contest theme is about how the language of flowers is used to communicate feelings beyond just using words; and so, the comic is completely silent, relying on actions to convey its meaning. Yellow roses could mean friendship, care and affection; and it’s shown wonderfully with how Iris and Lan are so thoughtful with one another. It’s so cute how Iris missed Lan only because he was already out buying roses for her. Given how hard comics are to make and how this is fully colored, I really wanted to give this first place—however I felt the color usage of yellow could have been stronger, especially with the last page, where it would have had the most impact. I had to squint and zoom out to even see if the lighting had changed. Still, it’s such a very warm and lovely work.

I always appreciate the effort people put into making multiple-page comics for these contests, and this is no exception! Even without dialogue, you did a great job at conveying your story through your art in each panel and it was easily understandable. Another utilizing the yellow rose, I certainly felt the friendship and warmth in your tale. As Subzero mentioned, the only thing keeping it from placing was that the yellow colors weren’t as dominant in other areas of the pic, besides the panel by Sal. Still, your coloring was very crisp and vibrant throughout each page, and it was an awesome submission!

With the red for Metal Man, orange for Cut Man and the explosion of yellow flowers, that’s the trifecta of warm colors. Yellow roses could mean delight and this pic is delightful in all ways. Cut looks so cute practically swimming in the sea of flowers and greenery, as does Metal’s adorable expression—which is a feat since he only shows his eyes. I also really like the juxtaposition and balance of this piece from: the rust-brown car against green-yellow nature running wild, and Metal holding a bouquet meanwhile Cut’s covered with plants. It makes me want to get some fresh air myself!

Cut Man looks grateful for being able to ride in that pickup bed of flowers, and I have a feeling the two of them had a wonderful time just snipping and sawing away at all the stems to gather them all. XD Love how the yellow and oranges play off of both character’s color schemes nicely. What a fantastic composition. Dark-Dullahan does away with most color, leaving the colors of the mixed-bouquet roses as the main focal point. Classic red for romance, a gentler pink for affection, mixed yellow roses to signify caring and probably so much more—seems like Nana can’t contain her feelings for Massimo. I love how the close up of the bouquet doesn’t just form a kind of heart at the top but serves as the divider between the two, like a diptych. With such a wonderful offering, Massimo would surely accept her feelings.

As you brought to my attention, your mixed bouquet had a few different meanings, such as the dark pink representing thanks to Massimo for saving Nana from Silver Horn, and the red tips on the yellow roses to symbolize falling in love. Certainly got those vibes from her shy demeanor, as she sheepishly tries to hand them to him. Also agree with Subzero that the line from the bouquet nicely works as a way to separate them uniquely with the background. Sorry you weren’t able to complete it as fully as you had hoped, but the concept behind it certainly was strong!

Oh, I adore this one. It reminds me of a movie poster with the tagline. I love the extra PINK flourishes of the letterings like with the Mega Man logo color change and cute pixelated font and heart. Both Rock and Roll’s expressions are so cute, too—with his more subdued smile contrasted with her exuberant grin. Much like how the pink rose could mean many things like thoughtfulness, cheer or as a show of appreciation, this piece is positively sparkling with affection, hearts and all. It’s clever how the sunset is giving the picture an overall pinkish-red hue while having the yellow light as an outline. A darling piece.

With pink roses again, I truly liked the additional hue adjustments where you can feel the warmth and see the lighter pink mixed into their skintone, or areas normally of white - from eyes to teeth to the Megaman logo - that have taken on the pink in it’s place. With the painterly watercolor style you used, it all blends in nicely. Even in your earlier version, I feel you brought a strong game with the hues, but toned down the red from that version to make it feel much stronger towards pink, with a tighter crop of your canvas. It was fun to see how it evolved, and strengthened your piece in doing so! Fabulous job!

No better way to show how madly in love you are than a bouquet of roses that run the gamut of—I can’t call these warm colors because these passions are running hot. Orange seems to be the dominant color here—which in roses could symbolize a love that’s passionate, fierce and deep. It’s also expressed nicely with the two lovers embracing, engaged in mid kiss, their bodies also forming a subtle heart shape, to emphasize the flurry of hearts around them. The bouquet is not just orange roses, however, but a mixed bouquet of the classic romantic red and the more affectionate pink—it’s a piece that’s bursting with all degrees of love.

You also certainly mastered the limited color pallette challenge as you tackled this piece! Orange, the color of passion, is certainly felt in their deep kiss and embrace. I too caught the heart shape their heads essentially form, which is then further enforced with the heart of hearts behind them. I thought that concept was pulled off very well. Perfect for the fiery intensity of Match, this turned out to be a very hot pic!

This one has a very clever framing (eh? EH?). The color white is often associated with purity, innocence and hope, and with white roses—weddings and marriage. Sonia dons the classic white wedding dress which has a très élégante design—and the little Lyra on her belt is very cute. The pink background is also very romantic and a nice way to tie in with her theme colors. I dig the lovey-dovey feel of Geo doing the classic bridal carry while clasping a single white rose...but seeing the thorns, I think he better watch his hand!

For a theme emphasizing color within the pic, I salute you for taking the biggest challenge in choosing white. In many ways, it could have been the hardest to keep as a predominant color, but still make the pic interesting and visually appealing. Choosing to have the petals all around the frame, with the bouquet nearby was a clever touch. With white often used for weddings and new beginnings, I think the concept of your piece worked just right, where it was subtle, but still incorporated enough other color to give the piece some life.

Category 2: Kawaii-rimi (Humor)

For our humor category this year, the theme focused on your favorite Megaman character gifting the plush form of another Megaman character to their crush, instantly created by a ninja-like character, to play off of the Kawarimi concept from the EXE series.

Y’know how blocks of wood are sometimes used by ninjas when they do that whole body switching thing? I think it’s clever how this pic has Sal—Woodman.exe’s operator—conjuring the doll. Everything about the pic is so fun and colorful: from Sal’s mischievous grin of accomplishment, Miyu being completely shocked by her chibi doppelganger (check out that body language!) and Masa’s confused expression.

Yes, while to some, Sal might not be the first one they think of when they think ninja in the Megaman Universe, but I certainly thought she still fits the bill in her design. Usually we don’t see this much emotion or shock out of Miyu, so seeing her torque her body, taken aback at a doll of herself, is amusing in it’s own right. Meanwhile, nothing fazes Masa. And a bit of randomness: oh man, seeing Masa’s head in profile, with his bandana...wow, I never realized how much his head shape with the bandana looks like a fish’s. I can’t unsee it now. Anyways, I also agree that the color, polish, and fun vibe made this a worthy winner!

Very cute, although after the DiVE V-Day event, we all know this is a ruse and your pal boobeyes only belongs to the Ferham Fanclub. XD

Aside from getting his own Super Adaptor, this is probably the closest we’ve got to seeing Tango and Blues merged as one. LOL I’m sure that plush would have a ton of fans wishing it actually existed. The panels where Blues embarrassingly hides behind his scarf and gets pet like a cat had me laughing! I am in a serious financial bind. 😥 If anyone is in a position to listen & help or signal boost, pls keep reading...

This is from my apartment complex. I am in low-income housing. I called them & sent them proof I could pay on the 23rd. I told them I could (just barely) put 100 down now & they said that was too little.

They said they would file for eviction on the 16th, which adds $150 to my rent. They will cancel the court date and eviction on the 23rd when I pay.

But that doesn't cancel the $150 filing fee.

Idk where that $150 would come from. Idky they think it's fair that someone who cannot pay should be forced to pay even more??? That makes no sense. I can only just barely afford my rent every month as is.

These are from my energy company. I apparently owe them over $600. I genuinely do not know how this happened. We were on the phone for a very long time trying to figure it out & I was in tears for the latter portion of it because I swear I paid.

I usually keep record of my payments via taking a picture of my receipt since they are electronic, but my dog chewed up my phone (which I have pics of if need be for evidence) and broke it, so I had to get a replacement phone sent to me from the insurance company & nothing transferred from the old phone, so all my pics were wiped.

I found no record in my emails, either.

The meds I am taking to try to go into remission and the autoimmune disease itself both cause brain fog and issues with time warping, so it is possible maybe I skipped a month or something, but I highly doubt I would have skipped up to 600+ dollars worth of payments.

I have tons of electronic and hard copy calendars & they are all synced and constantly updated so that I know when payments are due. I also have text and email reminders sent to me, but I could find no reminders in my email for MONTHS now until they were telling me they were going to shut my power off if I didn't pay this. Idk why I was not sent reminders for months???

In the end, I agreed to set up a payment plan. Paying, like... 50-60ish on top of whatever my electric bill is every month for 12 months. It was the lowest they could go.

I can barely afford my electric bill as it is, so idk how I will be able to do this? They did give me a list of charities in my area so I will be using what little energy I have to call around & see if any of them would be willing to help me pay this. Idk how those work (they're mostly churches???), so I'm just gonna try & see what happens. 🤔

On top of all that, I *think* this is telling me my Medicaid has been cancelled but I'm not 100% sure?????

I'm going through treatment for a very serious, disabling problem that should last ~1 year and rn Medicaid is picking up what my Medicare doesn't cover and some of my doctors/specialists and treatments are medicaid only.

If I lose this, I'm basically done.

I know they'll do backpay if I get it back, but Idk if I *will* get it back. I'll be trying to get it back, but in the meantime, I guess I'll just have to pay out of pocket, idk??? Which I do not have.

I have lost almost ALL autonomy due to this autoimmune disease, which (in a very simplified form) is basically my immune cells "eating" my muscle tissue. I can barely get out of bed. Treatment should put me in remission & give me my life back. I am seeing a rheumatologist, neurologist, dermatologist, PCP, physical therapist, psychiatrist, psychologist, and going to a holistic pain treatment center that does a different kind of physical therapy to bring down pain levels (which I was put into that program by my rheum). All of these are in relation to & necessary for my disease. I am going through TONS of testing almost weekly now & trying out treatments like IVIG and chemo where I am in the hospital hooked up to an IV for 4-6+ hrs of that day and the cost of those things without Medicaid picking up what Medicare doesn't cover is astronomical. I have to sign waivers every time I get my blood drawn (which is almost weekly now), do tests, and do treatments saying I will pay if Medicaid does not pick up the extra.

I already have crippling medical debt; I don't need more. I'm scared they won't let me do any more tests or treatments if they see I am just letting it all go to collections & am not paying.

This could mean the difference between having a life worth living (to me) where I am happy & thriving & autonomous or being bed-bound & living a life of just existing from day to day & miserable & in pain & suffering & unable to do anything for myself. This is literally life and death for me because I wouldn't be able to handle continuing to live in the latter scenario. I cannot handle living like I am now. Knowing my treatments are progressing is what keeps me going. Knowing I can go into remission is what keeps me going. Knowing my future is one completely different from now is what keeps me going. But if I cannot have that and am destined to live in this current state, it's just not worth it. I don't know a person alive who would want to live like this.

Finally, my anger noodle needs to get to the vet for MULTIPLE things. Nothing is, like... life threatening or super immediate like his cancer was last year, but they're things that need to be addressed in terms of preventative care & to make sure he isn't in pain.

He needs his trachea checked, possibly x-rays for that, maybe more...

He needs some medication updates, needs a physical, needs a full groom & nail clip under anesthesia (for those who are not familiar with Echo, he has extreme fear-based aggression & usually gets this done under anesthesia; since I worked with him so much, he had his first non-anesthesia nail clip at the beginning of quarantine, but he has gotten worse during quarantine & with my muscle eating disease, I can no longer restrain him & don't have the physical strength to run a brush through his thicker fur as his winter coat is in, so I can no longer groom certain areas of him at home, so his tummy & back legs are matted & I fear he may need to be shaved... which breaks my heart since you don't shave double coat dogs unless medically necessary.), he needs a full physical, & needs to be checked over for MCT's.

He may also need a fecal test or something else, as he has been having odd bowel movements. 😥 His tummy has been upset lately.

I have been crying myself to sleep every single night & often during the day because I cannot get him to the vet. No, it isn't urgent or life threatening. But he is reverse sneezing more than normal & I worry about tracheal collapse, which is a common small dog thing & even MORE common in pomeranians specifically. Every time he has a fit, I think "Oh god, this is it. This is the time I'm gonna have to rush him to the e-vet & get slammed with a huge bill & he is not gonna be okay..."

It breaks my heart to see his legs & belly matted. He is horrible about letting me groom him coz of his aggression so he only gets a full grooms at the vet, but I do short grooming sessions at home with him nightly. Takes about 2 hours just to do the majority of one side of him (not even all of it; just most) coz he needs breaks & lots of praise every few strokes or he will tear me to shreds & hurt himself snapping on the undercoat rake. 😥

But now that my autoimmune disease has atrophied my muscles to the point holding up my phone without something to prop it up feels like I am lifting weights & tires my arms out with a lactic acid burn & pain, I can no longer groom him with the patience he needs & can only groom in 20 minute intervals at the VERY longest. By the time I have gotten one leg done during the week, his entire other side is matted. 😞 Matting on dogs---especially double coat dogs---hurts them. It's like if someone were to wrap your hair around their fingers & then pull it taut. It's a constant pulling pressure on their skin... it's painful & irritates the epidermis. I feel miserable feeling the matting on his back legs & tummy & now feeling the mats beginning to form on the rest of him. He hates me working them out, even with the detangling spray. I know it must hurt so much...

So he may need to be shaved at this point & that will destroy me. I feel sick thinking about it. But anything to get him out of pain. Maybe it is what's best for him while I go through this year of treatment & get my muscles back. But in order to do that, I need to get him to the vet.

The stress of not being able to get him to a vet is tearing me apart & literally making me physically ill.

He is my world. My everything. My #1. My heart dog. My priority in life. My entire universe revolves around him. I would do anything for him. Not a single person, animal, thing, etc, comes before him. It is KILLING me that I cannot provide proper care for him right now. I always always always make sure to sacrifice for him if need be & his things ALWAYS come first, even if it means I'm not eating or not paying bills or whatever. As long as he is taken care of & his needs & wants are met, nothing else matters to me. And right now........ I feel he is suffering because of my finances & the fact my treatment with building my muscles up is not going fast enough.

I cannot control the latter one, but the first one is something I can at least ask for help for. So that is what I am doing.

I have a side blog for my writing but I just can't get to creating anything in general right now and especially writing so it's just chilling empty. I might start reblogging my favourite pieces of writing on there or something... I need to think about it...

Oh god this blog turns 10 in December an it makes me ✨uncomfortable ✨. But I did take a huge step back from like 2016-2019... Fandom was overwhelming and I didn't know what I could do on this site to make it an enjoyable and safe space for me. I did that in 2020 when I knew I would be spending a lot of time on here again.

Yeah but tbh I forgot it because I don't use my blog like that. It's more like compulsively reblogging 50 pictures of the same event and then disappearing into the void again haha.

5. why did you start your blog in the first place?

A person I was friends with had created one but they were insecure and wanted support about it which I was happy to give. Then I started looking into what I even had signed the hell up for and here we are... almost ten years later… oh lord.

Have you seen the pic? It's so cute I wanna cover him with a soft blanket and make him drink some tea. :( To be quite frank, there aren't many things more beautiful to me than Harry Styles with hair clippies. (This was creepy, I am sorry, but that pic makes me so soft).

I just wanted something not 1D related because I didn't like the way it was very overloaded. I liked that picture I took in a park.

Oh god I needed to turn on my top posts so I even saw, because I never post because I don't have anything valuable to share. But it's the post about how Liam and Nina Nesbitt sounded good together. :)

It comes and goes in waves. Sometimes 5min sometimes it's literally 10h. I try to build a healthy habit (still working on it).

Not that I can think of. I never saw an opinion I thought I need to confront somebody about. I like that it's not all fun and games on here but in the end I have a blog focused around One Direction and the solo careers of each individual member. So unless I see anything harming the dignity of an individual, I want this to be a fun experience.

I understand that they pressure some people (me too sometimes), I don't think I reblog them that often, I try not to pay them much mind anymore.

Oh glob, what have I gotten myself into? Just some long updates lol XD

Well, the year’s almost over, and it’s already the second half. The first half was too much and to be honest, I had to swim with the circumstances I am in right now so I had to put this passion non-profit project on hold, like seriously. But I did started translating the first few pages as early as December last year, as my very nice benefactor actually sent me the rest of the entire set of the Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi series after sending off the first 4 volumes. Probably read the entire thing first. But hey, free stuff is free so why complain. Plus my benefactor actually got the entire set for a steal, won’t say how much but in Amazon Japan, the last time I checked the whole set is roughly around $150 or a bit around that. and that’s just the first 7 volumes. Probably there’s an entire set now that’s about $200, as the final volume was released around August 2019.

Spoiler alert: the entire light novel series is made up of 10 volumes, so if you read it, the afterword by Yuuma-sensei specifically says that volume 10 is the final one, and Yuuma-sensei feels sad about it.

Yeah I highlighted that part in red, just in case many Kakuriyo fans still have some extreme hunger pangs or are unsure whether the novel series has ended. Here you go, straight from the horse’s mouth. Yuuma-sensei also has another Ayakashi light novel series, 浅草鬼嫁日記, roughly-translated to “Asakusa Wife from Hell Diaries”. Seems fun, they’re literally ogres - Oni living in the real world, like a reverse Kakuriyo thing. Who knows, maybe someday I can score that series too lol. The writer really likes Ayakashi, if it’s not that obvious yet 草草草草 yeah I write kusa lol oml I should stop... But returning to the Kakuriyo series.. I won’t spoil what happened lol but I will probably make a commentary on that once I get the translations up and running.

Which leads me to my next announcement:

I PLAN TO UPLOAD THE DIRECT TRANSLATIONS OF JUST THE INTERMISSIONS/INTERLUDES ( 幕間 ) AND THE AFTERWORDS (あとがき) OF EACH VOLUME.

Chapter 5 is the only complete and full English Translation that I will be uploading here, and the rest will be summarized versions of the chapters plus my translation notes and commentaries.

Bummer, right?

Well, to be honest, after starting my initial translations I ran into several issues which made me feel sucker-punched and added to the stuff I’m worried about:

Issues regarding plagiarism (either my stuff getting plagiarized or potentially being accused of it)

Translating everything actually takes too long, even for me (I’ll explain that later)

More serious issues like possible DMCA-ish complaints (won’t want my hardwork just getting flagged and killed)

Personal stuff piling up and affecting my momentum

To be honest, when I received the books, I was so excited to work with them and upload as much as I can. But lots of things happened one after another, plus the worldwide issue that we have right now, so doing fun stuff wasn’t at the front of my priorities. So at the moment, I am mostly offline, by necessity, like connection is slower and with data cap, so I mostly do my translations with whatever hardcopies of dictionaries that I have on hand, offline. It’s good and all since I can put my skills to the test, but it can be expected that not all of the words are available in the books so I still have to hook on Jisho just to find the missing words I need. So my stuff pretty much looks like this:

I could just take pictures of these and upload them here but the maximum number of pics that tumblr allows is 15, and good glob I have more than 15 pages of translated material. Plus, as you can see above, some parts are untranslated and I had to find them in Jisho once I get online, so right now I have about 50% word-processed with the raw parts cooked, and I only have 12 raw pages remaining to be cooked and hashed lol

Which leads me to my next issues: my slowness (yeah I have to surrender on my slowness) and my fears regarding plagiarism.

I actually only started doing these translations in full blast around 2 months ago, and eventually I had to slow down so I won’t get bogged down since I also do other stuff. But I found out that ploughing through it can get quite draining. I started thinking that fan-subbing and scanlating were easier because aside from working digitally, these were also mostly done in teams so work time gets cut. Well, those were the days lol But for this one, aside from flying solo, I had to use all of my offline resources a lot, like doing everything by hand. It finally broke me about half-way and I had to step away from it, like reaaaaally step away from it. I thought I could finish 50+ pages in a span of a week. Well, I wasn’t exactly wrong there, but I also had other stuff to do, and if I just read it like I would any book without having to do anything, it’s a done deal. But having to translate stuff was draining, I felt frustrated so it broke me. I have to write each page by hand, leave out the words I can’t find or don’t know, and move on to the next page until my body stops working. Rinse and repeat until I could finish about 10 pages and get on with the typesetting and completing the missing parts. That takes a while so I just do my best to be patient.

Then the thoughts of plagiarism popped in and out, like I started thinking how to ensure that my stuff doesn’t get stolen and reposted elsewhere, or worse, getting my site shut down because fan translations are ambiguously illegal, like fansubs and scanlations, and I think those were what got me the most, so I just gave up midway. I’d say ambiguously illegal because if a series or title wasn’t licensed elsewhere then translating it is a fair game. But if it’s already released as a translated version by publishers, then releasing a translated version is like labelled as stealing, even if it’s non-profit. Of course profiteering is the worst, some steal what others work hard for, that they did for free, and sell them off. Scumbags to the bone smh I do my best to be within the fair use thing since I understand how much effort is made in creating content, so at present I have just decided to just put up the intermissions and the afterwords because aside from these being only a few pages long, it’s less likely to get whacked. Plus it’s easier for my psyche to just sum up each chapter and add some comments on it so it won’t be taken down, plus I wont’ be too-attached so even if some nutjobs repost it elsewhere because some people are just unempathetic like that, at least I won’t be as resentful. Plus the afterwords are just so cute, Yuuma-sensei gives off an adorable and relatable vibe, so I feel like aside from just showing off her stories, I think she needs to get signal-boosted too, so people would have an idea on who wrote this hunger-inducing light novel series lol. I only started to pick up the whole thing again about a week ago, and I still wasn’t fast but at least I got to add at least 20 more pages translated, plus I started to type the first pages and add the missing words so at the very least, I felt some sort of achievement. It gave me some hope, and to be honest I have been doing this to maintain my sanity even for just a bit, so I guess I will do my best to bring Yuuma-sensei’s work out into the world. It’s a really good series, and it got animated into 2 seasons, plus the manga’s out, so that says a lot on how the series caught on. It can’t be denied that it’s a really engrossing series, so I don’t see any reason why this really good series should remain hidden. It probably has a lot of fans but aren’t being too attached into it because of language barriers, and even in my own way, I would like to bridge that gap. I mean, I may have slow internet that can only open mails in basic html but hey, this is the least I could do for the fandom. It’s not like I spew out doujin stuff or anything lol

OK, so summing up this long-ass update:

Please don’t expect any fast uploads lol it’s not like I do ctrl+A into Google translate and slap it in here. Nothing against doing that but.. uhm, sometimes AI don’t get the nuances translated, and a lot gets lost in translation, so at best, anything done by some trash enthusiast, even noobs can still have some oomph in it that soulless beings can’t even top off. But hey, that’s just my opinion lol

So yeah, there you have it, a long update. Oh, and I changed the name of this blog because I have other raw stuff that I may be able to put here without any fear of being taken down because they’re in the public domain, so they’re all fair game since I don’t get any profit from them anyway and others may also appreciate them too. Hint: One is a series of Japanese classic fantasy short stories, the other one is a set of instructional manuals on how to write kana and kanji in ballpen and brushpens. They’re a bit lighter so once I get Chapter 5 up I’ll do them as soon as I get rested.

Those of us who live in reality know that “out of the woods” is a commonly used saying that many people use to contact they are almost done with the worst of it- whether that is an illness “Dr, is he out of the woods yet?” or work-related projects like Darren did or just like what Trump thinks is happening now that McConnell already said he was “lock-step with Trump” because he doesn’t understand that he has already been impeached and that won’t go away, ever or literally you are coming home from a hike and you almost “out of the woods"ba-dum-pa. It wasn’t a reference to Taylor Swift’s song. Taylor does actually write her music, she started out as a writer when she was 15. Ironically, one of the tinhatters mentioned that Darren went to a Taylor Swift concert and her mom hugged him- that may have happened but I know for sure he went to a T.Swift concert and Taylor was walking down the aisle from her outer stage back to mainstage and she saw him and hugged him and I know this becuase I was there. This is the sum total of the evidence they going on to arrive at “Darren wrote ‘Out Of The Woods” and was referencing it.

2. One only needs to spend 4 min with Wikipedia to realize that Taylor and Jack Antanoff wrote the damn song- not Darren Criss.

4. I am also pretty sure that Columbia dropped Darren’s album because they believed it wasn’t commercially viable. Record labels don’t care if the singers like their albums. Lots of people have had music they didn’t like released anyway. Record labels are out to make money and they will do whatever they can to recoup expenses they spent on making the album but putting out a nonviable album is even more expensive and sometimes they cut their loses. Darren certainly didn’t have the power to shelf his own album or to cut some drug deal with the company to ghostwrite to what? Pay them back for the expense or to Ghostwrite until he’s paid off some arbitrary debt? But as you pointed out- the Taylor and Mariah weren’t on Columbia when Darren was (Mariah was at some point)

As for how they got to Mariah Carey- Darren sang Mariah Carey on Lip Sync Battle and “he has no known connection to her” and according to Abby and Rouged, people always sing songs connected to them (I don’t watch it much but I’m pretty sure that isn’t true). It looks to me like Darren was slotted into a show that was clearly just a Mariah tribute. I suspect it had to do with timing and nothing more. Lots of people battle someone they are connected to but that isn’t a requirement. Rouged claimed the star he battled was LA Reid (It was Jermaine Dupri). Jermaine co-wrote and produced many of Mariah's biggest hits although Heartbreaker written by Mariah and Jay-Z and produced by DJ Clue. Rouged argued that LA Reid is connected to Mariah Carey (he was- he was her label head for many years). When someone pointed out that it was Jermaine, not LA Reid, Rouged’s excuse was she can’t tell the difference between LA Reid (who is 63 years old), Jermaine Dupri (who is quite short and 47 years old), and P Diddy (who is 50). Dude, those 3 men look nothing alike.

6. Nobody even mentioned Rouged’s nonsense about how Ryan Murphy wanted to get song rights quickly so he had the cast themselves work their magic to obtain those rights WTAF? I am quite sure that the process for obtaining rights was something the legal department did and it wasn’t like Ryan called up the singer and asked- it would have been something official done through their representatives. Clearly, Chris Martin said “no” so we know they had input but it still wasn’t Ryan called Chris and Chris said “no” but later he said “yes” and that was that- no legal papers were signed.

So, I think it is possible that “Royalties” may spoof some very famous “songwriters.” That IS the premise, and D has set him and an M type “just ugh” up as a “songwriting team.” One that is, in THAT clip, not so great, and in fact terrible. But, D is in deep with the professional songwriters guild. THAT, is fact. But why, exactly? Is he “ghostwriting” for someone famous for writing ALL their own songs? Mariah just got into their Hall of Fame, gossip is she wrote nothing much, all ghosted.

So, Royalties? Will it make fun of that type power pop star? Will they be credited, or “ghosted” so the star gets all or most of the credit? Mariah is not the only power pop star D has been associated with, in strange but oddly significant ways. It is very telling that most celebs on Lip Sync Battle compete against a former co-star, “significant other,” or old pal. Not D, and that meant something. L.A. Reid has a long connection with Mariah. To the public, D has no connection with either.

So, when you do a Mariah tribute on a show as kitschy popular with superfans of celebs as Lip Synch Battle, you would OF COURSE pick L.A. Reid, who is a power producer of more than a little questionable reputation and no real entertainer on his own, really, but well connected as her long-time producer/rumored former lover/long time cheerleader and friend. And D. Who is WHAT to them both, exactly? That whole thing NEVER made sense, except that D BECAME Mariah, and stole that show. Hmmmm…

Who else does D know that is a huge star that writes their own songs? In fact, is known for that, even critically praised, well above her singing abilities? Tay/lor. He was at one of her concerts, and was greeted in the crowd by her mom. He has been behind her in another venue, they have crossed paths. At this point, she has certainly been managed, or managed herself, much better than Bieber, her male counterpart. IF she has ghostwriters, they would be well-hidden and tightly secured.

Hello @rougedraconteur. Cough, cough, hack indeed. I will never believe some random person went and deleted posts and blocked people from a band’s SM that most people have never heard of. In my opinion, inside job, meant to send a direct message, which to us is unclear, but the recipient received it, of that i have no question (I have wondered if D has tried to withhold the new EP, nothing else much makes sense especially in light of his brother seemingly struggling to pay the bills).

Really interesting on the song reference in the tweet “once I’m out of the woods”, I have never heard that song, but wow, how close is this to what i perceive as reality? This could BE D and now that i understand the reference, just like i think he wrote the tweets from NYE when he said “and here we are now, I made it, we made it. I’ve been looking forward to to this for a long time…the Soaring Twenties…seeing clearly in 2020”, I am starting to lean he wrote these tweets that indicated he was “tending to some other obligations” (which include a fake wedding, endless promotion for Swiller, Fashion Shows, Family Honeymoon in the Philippines, TB commercials and other endless adds, and promoting SK). Far too smart for the Jumping Jackass or PBB. And well, in combination, an interesting series of tweets.

Dare I hope that perhaps D is really optimistic about the year ahead? Because add in the HW stuff (on 2 most anticipated queer shows of 2020 lists, the reference to SB being leaked, what we know about the other characters, what we don’t know about Raymond, and the otherwise silence about the show), things are, shall we say, interesting.

On R/oyalties, a/k/a the show that is used to pay out every user/leach in his life (SK, RR, PBB, Algorithm Winners, etc), my understanding, and it is limited, is that they are in fact writing songs for popular, mainstream artists. Unclear if they are named songwriters or if they will be “ghosting” for people and based on the fact that the first artist is played by CT, I would venture to guess that they talent isn’t that amazing, so yes in many ways, making fun of the talent and pointing out that behind most of these mainstream acts are writers we never know or see.

On D himself ghosting, quite possible right? It could explain a lot. Including, if he bought it, being pushed to buy a $3 million home for his beard (which could possible be an agreed upon pay out). I have always wondered how D got out of his record contract and this just might be an explanation. Perhaps he agreed that instead of releasing his own music that was not authentically him, he agreed to write music for other artists that may or may not include the above reference individuals? No question, his spot on Lip Sync Battle was odd if there is no association to MC and yes, she has a clear and obvious connection to to L.A. This is no question, something to think about and ponder. He is an incredibly talented songwriter who, to date, has not released, that we are aware of, a ton of material. It would make sense if he is writing for others and I would guess ghosting would pay well. You definitely made me think.

Once ‘he’s out of the woods’. It may be a reference to a TS song, but considering the location for the sham was in the woods I would like to hope he’s near to escaping and out of the woods soon 😉.

I like this, and I like Tay/lor, although that is a recent development, on my part, but I think she is coming more into her own with more near total control over HER mammoth “overnight” breakout career than she ever had before. Remind you of somebody? Getting there, anyway. And yeah, some folks have to write under another name, for various reasons.

Butterfly IS a Mari/ah Car/ey Trademark, but it is for Tay, too. She posted a giant butterfly on a wall in Nashville with her most recent album. Not saying we are right, in either case or with the connections, but I believe you should look at everything and how it might connect, as a possible piece of this puzzle. Mar/iah was recently inducted into Songwriters Hall of Fame, as a recent piece of gossip I saw stated, though she was unqualified for it. Ghostwriters who CAN’T be revealed because the celeb and management won’t allow it, as detremental to the Big Star who is a MoneyMaker.

Can anyone verify that D’s old roomie Je/ff Jerni/gan, who went with D to Ka/tyPer/ry’s western bday party, around 2012 or 2013 maybe, during THOSE years, was with ASCAP in some “official” capacity, and that his sister worked in a big-sounding job with F/ox At that time? Connections. I know JJ has moved on now, but D has always been involved with ASCAP and recognized as a SONGWRITER, even by Gl/ee and RIB, and hung around with other songwriters and big pop stars kind of above his pay grade at the time, if you get my drift.

Think of the swiftie songs both D AND C have sung or lipsynced to in their online posts. They connect to at least some of her stuff in SOME way. And that’s a fact.

ajw720 Just adding a few significant facts. The Human EP was released on my birthday in 2010 (July 20) a few months prior to rocketing to stardom, seemingly giving him an even bigger platform to have his music heard. Since that time, D has released very few original songs (almost 10 years) even though we know he was signed to a record deal with Columbia for several years and he has told us that he wrote and recorded many songs for an eventual album that was never released. He even spent an entire summer in the UK writing songs with people like B/runo M/ars. And Columbia funded a summer tour to test his songs and popularity. A tour that sold out. So what has D released?

1 Solo EP with 4 original songs, one of which he claimed was written many years ago when he 1st performed it (untrue written during LU) and 1 of which he has given his brother credit for writing the chorus.

In 10 years, he has released FOUR solo tunes, FOUR, despite being signed to a huge contract. FOUR, on an indy label. And I believe he only released them because he was forced by contract as he owed it to the Jumping Jackass (hence the name H/omework, a chore that has to be done). And a total of, not including R/oyalties, maybe 30 including a musical for his theater group that was performed 9 years ago. Where has all his music gone? Now, I am certain he is holding back on solo tunes because he does not want them associated with PBB. But still, it is a least worth questioning.

100 Days to Animal Crossing Challenge!

In the spirit of the countdown to New Leaf (remember when? :’) ), and to help wile away the days, here’s 100 questions for every day until New Horizons is here! Enjoy!

1. Do you prefer making up a new name for your villager, or using your own name? I always name my villager after myself. I go for the immersion!

2. Do you use the first map you’re given, or do you reset for layouts? I used to reset for layouts, until I started hacking. In New Horizons, I'll just be resetting for fruit!

3. Do you use the face you’re given, or do you wait for guides and choose your favourite? I would look for guides. Even with hacking, it's easier to just start with the face you want.

4. Favourite town/island name?/Have you a name picked out for your town/island? My favorite town name that I've seen so far is Lunaire. I don't want to share my town name just yet. It's nothing revolutionary or anything but its personal I guess?

5. Will you be sharing with friends/family, or is your island going to be all your own? I will be having my own island! My husband will have his own island as well. He says we'll spend most of our time in my island though lol

6. What’s a new feature you’re excited about? T E R R A F O R M

7. Favourite fruit? Peaches!

8. Least favourite fruit? Pears!

9. Favourite area? (Beach, campground, shopping district etc, from any entry in the series.) My favorite place was the wishing well in ACPG. So cute and sweet. As much as I loved the plaza in ACNL, it's got nothing on the original!

10. Where do you like to like to put your house? Do you like that level of customization, or do you prefer to have some things decided, like in older entries? I like to put my house near waterfalls, its relaxing and good for fishing! I could never get my house near the water in older games, so it was a nice change in ACNL.

11. Favourite grass pattern? Personally, I never really notice the grass patterns!

13. Favourite villager/s? My fav villagers are Skye and Punchy 💕

14. Least favourite villager/s? I hate Elise the Monkey

15. Did you like doing Tom Nook’s chores, or did you find those to be a pain? I used to find them a pain as a kid but I miss them now. It was so much more engaging!

16. Favourite NPC/s? My fav would have to be KK. He's such a cool dude, he's just full of nostalgia for me.

17. Least favourite NPC/s? I don't really have a least favorite? I guess Katie's mom, her lipstick is tacky imo

18. Do you use paths? Are you excited about the new path tool? With hacking, I use clover paths so they're easier to see on the editor. I can't wait to have real paths, though!

19. Favourite feature from an older entry? The festivities! The neighbors were so much more engaged in ACPG, ACNL is sorta boring in comparison.

20. What was your first Animal Crossing game? My first was ACPG, the gamecube one!

21. Favourite activity (fishing, bug catching, fossil hunting, other)? Fishing was always exciting AND relaxing for me

22. Least favourite activity? Fossil hunting, but only because I don't get immediately results and I'm impatient lol

23. Favourite bug? Even though I don't like these irl, snails hehe

24. Least favourite bug? Scorpions and tarantulas, only because I've almost never encountered them in ANY game

54. Do you like making your own clothing patterns? I used to, but ACPC made me appreciate the already made in game clothes

55. Did you streetpass with many other ACNL players, or is it a feature you didn’t get much use of? I don't get much use out of it nowadays but I would always come back from conventions with a full showcase when I was younger

64. Are you excited to wear any of the new accessories (like the bags etc shown in the E3 trailer)? ACPC sorta spoiled that stuff for me, they're still very much appreciated though

I had a DVD with those lame live action commercials and I was ENAMORED with them! Obsessed! I begged my parents for the game and they would hem and haw "well there's a lot of reading... you'll have to get better at reading... we won't always be able to help you read it..." and I swore up and down that I'd learn and practice reading. Obviously, nearly 20 years later, I'm still completely obsessed

71. Do you prefer the “live” versions of K.K. Slider’s Songs, or the airchecks? I like both but for different reasons. The live versions are nice and nostalgic and the air checks are closer to the aesthetic that they're actually trying to portray

Why the fuck can’t people be happy for you when you are stoked about something? Let alone like it’s none of their damn business how I paid for something and how do they think I have no need for a planner ?! Like i don’t know about you but me I can’t even remember what I did last week on specific days let alone remember I scheduled a doctor appointment weeks or months from now. I can’t use my phone I ignore and swipe shit away even in my sleep, hell I have even answered and had full phone calls totally asleep because I’ll see it on my call log or someone will bring it up and I’ll be like uhhh we talked ?? Hah. Truly being a Virgo and the fact I am just an organized mess in general I need a damn planner to keep all the zillion things tracked and know when I went where or saw who when it took this or that mes at what dates. I mean literally if your female you know every time a doc. Office visit one of the first things asked is when was your last period? Like I’d rather be able to just grab and flip open my planner to answer then look like a total dumbass saying I don’t know but I know I’m not prego lol cuz they never believe you hah. And then follows a mini lecture about importance of knowing your cycles even if you are on the pill or any other sort of device used. Ptf. Or you sit there trying to remember and looking back in your phone at dates and remembering you took a selfie or a pic of something during your time of the month so you try to find the pic to find a date to give them as they stand there tapping their shoe or pen on the forms and give you this what a total ditz expression. Me without a planner I will miss things accidentally or double book plans, and always be late. Okay I tend to be late anyways but not because I had remembered the wrong time or something like that.

I also am beyond perplexed how people in my world could say I’m not actually sick or I’m lying about that having been why I’m not in school or working right now. Like uhh how the fuck did they miss that one I mean it’s not like I didn’t post while dying in the hospital or throughout this last year journey. It’s been such an ordeal I even got a christmas gift of a custom made charm to mark the whole journey that has taken more inner strength and positivity then I even knew I had within me. Like really having to defend I almost died last year is so absurd I just end up being sick of the argument defending the facts that clearly they are so far removed from my life at this point they didn’t bother to notice and that’s on them they can go back and look at social media for their proof it’s all there. Some relatives even see me now and don’t realize like how bad I was since I’m thankfully not in that state anymore and roll their eyes as if I’m just lazy and making excuses. I still don’t have doctor clearance and they still are trying to sort out wtf any of it was. I’m pretty sure the mass will be an unsolved question that I pray was a one time fluke or something.

I just have to keep focus on the people who matter most and opinions should have any pull are those who have been there for me through my ordeal. The ones who truly care about me that were not around know me well enough to know I wouldn’t lie to them and fully believe me when I tell them what went on while they have been away or why I wasn’t in touch. Not exactly easy to stay in touch when at times I couldn’t even write with either hand my initials signing forms. I also most of last year was in so much physical agony it was overwhelmingly taking precedence over doing anything despite even trying to do tasks I wanted to do it was not allowing. The people who matter don’t care what I look like or if I’m a goddamn mess in a dark place because they know if it were opposite I’d be there for them without judgement. I don’t get why whenever I get to have anything even if it’s something I gifted myself because I’ll worth it can’t people not just be content or stoked with me that I’m jazzed up about something even if they don’t understand.... like a tarte eyeshadow palette that launched in 2015 I waited until it was on sale in sept 2019 for one day only 50% off and stayed up to buy it the second it hit midnight before it could sell out. I know my homeboys could care less or begin to understand anything makeup really but they humor me and are stoked with me that I got a killer deal and admire my patience to buy it at a more reasonable price point and my drive to make it happen lol.

Like why be bitter or cruel? It’s not necessary. Don’t rain on someone else’s parade it’s just messed up. Be happy for them or don’t say anything. Knocking them down is just a reflection of what a negative unhappy person you are in the end. I mean happiness for me is really hard to come by. People love to destroy it anytime I get a small dose and that is just messed up. I actually have a type of depression where I’ve been here so long I don’t consciously know I’m depressed. My highs are what would be average persons normal. My norm is low. And my lows are potentially fatal due to their danger of how dark I go since I’m already starting at low as it is it’s not a place that’s okay for me to be in especially living alone so for those who like to rain on my rainbow you are truly the worst of the worst because admit it or not you by hurting me with words are placing my life at risk because it’s not like I only have one person who decides to be that way it’s the multitude and then it’s like fuck this I want out cuz apparently happiness isn’t supposed to be something I can afford or be able to be on point getting shit done and functional instead of being stressed anxiety ridden and a total haphazard scrambling to make it through the week state of being.

I also am really sorta done with socializing for another reason lately. I am fed up with people taking my belongings and then trying to make it seem as if they asked and I said yes after the fact of doing so. No my stuff is mine you do not just help yourself and not ask specific and if I say no It does not mean then steal it. Like if someone asks me for a water sure go grab one but that does not mean drink all I got and leave me fucked over with no water for days since not having a car not like I can just go buy a case and easily bring it home. If I have a subscription to something chances are I can’t find my size or whatever in stores and can’t buy it for full retail price so you stealing it makes it impossible for me to replace let alone pissed the fuck off cuz you violate my trust and disrespect of my home I can’t trust you around anymore you blew it. I hope what you stole was worth it cuz now we’re done. Never had anyone who breaks shit here or taken replaced what I then have to add to a list of stuff to buy that sets me back further especially when it’s an item I already had replaced cuz why bother I’ll just go without instead of replacing and continue to have jacked and be without anyway. I mean Stealing from people is fucked up. Steal from stores they have funds set aside to manage that happening and be okay. You steal from someone you just hurt them in more ways then you can begin to fathom let alone the psychological damage. Any time I think I got a handle on it then I find nope I really don’t I should just cut everyone out cuz clearly making good friends I was more a fail at then I thought. I may be alone and it be hard but at least I save myself the devistating losses and upset of stuff going missing and the anxiety and stress of people and their true intentions or actions around me let alone safety being not at risk in some form.

I just want to be fuckin happy. Let alone not have someone decide to try to demolish it.
