✿ It's The Little Things ✿

A/N: My first time writing! Admittedly I'm very nervous, but also so excited!! Kept it simple with a small headcanon list to start, but I tried to write a decent amount for each point, and I hope that everyone is in character :0 Posting at 4am because I have no control over my life...

Summary: Little relationship things with the Strawhats. Can be interpreted as the anime/manga or the live action version of the character.

Characters: Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji

Content: SFW, G/N reader, slightest hint of angst in Sanji's part, but otherwise, pure unadulterated fluff! ✿

Luffy

✿ He absentmindedly draws shapes on your leg, back, or whatever part of you is there as you sit together, whether you are watching the waves, or listening to one of Usopp's stories. He is almost magnetic in the way he ends up attached to you. If you're not feeling it, he will do his best to keep his hands to himself, but as soon as his focus shifts onto anything else, they're back on you, drawing little clouds and hearts. He tried, he really did!

✿ This bottomless pit inhales food like it's going out of fashion, but, much to the bewilderment of the rest of the crew, he will actually feed you from his plate as he eats, even though you are eating your own food. It may be a case of "1 for you, 5 for me," but it's almost instinctive for him; he's sharing something he's passionate about with you, and making sure that, in his eyes, you are happy, healthy and strong. He values your wellbeing more than food; you are one of the most important things in his life.

✿ Despite how chaotic he is in every aspect of his life, his presence brings you to a state of complete peace, even when he's yelling about whatever currently has his attention. Just knowing he is there comforts you in a way that nothing, and no one else can. As long as Luffy is there, being the same old Luffy he always is, you know everything will be alright in the end, and if it isn't alright, well, it isn't the end yet.

Zoro

✿ He always places a comforting hand on your head when he passes by, or ends up in the same general space as you. It's his version of a hug, a reassuring touch that he is there, and that he's happy to see you. Zoro is very subtle with his affection, at least in public, but even when it's just the two of you, he automatically defaults to the head pat. It comforts him as much as it does you, and the simple action alone conveys his feelings far better than he ever could with words.

✿ You both love silently observing everything going on around you, and it's such a comfortable silence. You just enjoy each others company while watching the world go by, with Zoro also keeping an eye out for any threats, as he does. Sometimes you end up passing silent judgement on what you see, and you have both developed this uncanny ability to gossip without saying a single word. It's honestly unnerving at times, but you are just so familiar with each others micro-expressions that it's second nature.

✿ Insults are terms of endearment. If anyone else called either of you such things, all hell would break loose - swords drawn, blood spilt, bodies hit the floor, the whole song and dance. It actually started out as a form of deflection, with both of you being far too stubborn to admit any feelings were there, even to yourselves; "No, I don't like you, shitstain, I tolerate you." - "Whatever helps you sleep at night, arseface." As you connected though, it just became your thing, and you love seeing who can come up with the funniest insults. Zoro is surprisingly creative in this regard.

Nami

✿ Nami has a habit of fixing your clothes and hair if something is out of place. It can seem overbearing to others, but she knows you appreciate the gesture. She spent years putting up walls to defend herself, and this is a safe way for her to have a little moment alone with you, giving you gentle little touches without revealing to the world just how important you are to her. It is a very grounding experience for both of you, and you end up doing the same for her on the rare occasion that she isn't completely flawless. She may purposely put things out of place so you have the opportunity to fix something too.

✿ She has an eye for the finer things, and loves getting you little trinkets, and especially pieces of jewellery, which often match or pair with hers, like pendants that fit together to make a whole shape, and such. Just don't ask her where she got them; "Shhh, you don't need to worry about that." All that matters is that you now have a tangible connection to each other, no matter how close, or far apart you are.

✿ Another person who relishes in comfortable silence. Of course you love chatting with each other, and often do so later into the night than you intended. Nami is very quick-witted and your shared snark is always so enjoyable! But it's the moments when you are doing your own thing together, basking in the warmth of that closeness that brings the most joy. Every so often, you will share something interesting or amusing, depending on what you're doing, but you always return to that silence. It's very domestic.

Usopp

✿ You both end up in regular fits of giggles, that grow into raucous laughter, before devolving into the sounds of various suffocating wildlife, which only fuels the hilarious fire. He doesn't even have to say anything at times; he just has a look, and as soon as he catches your eye with it, you absolutely lose it. The amount of nonsensical inside jokes you have is absurd in itself.

✿ Ever the storyteller, Usopp will wind down the day with you relaxing under the stars, telling you fantastical stories about the impossible feats of the great 'Captain Usopp.' His creativity and imagination are something you greatly admire, and as much as you try to stay awake to appreciate those qualities, the comfort he brings has you dropping off every time. He'll carry you to bed most nights, but sometimes he can only manage to drag you around like a corpse he's trying to hide, and he'll end up waking you up laughing about it.

✿ You automatically link your little fingers whenever you are close enough to. It doesn't even register half of the time, only realising when you need that hand or try to go your separate ways. When this happens, providing there isn't anything that needs your urgent attention, you like to dramatize your parting, playing up that this is the most painful moment of your lives! "Don't you dare let go, Usopp! We can both make it out of this alive!" - "I'm so sorry, I can't hold on any longer, and I refuse to drag you down with me." - "No! Don't say that!" - "I love you so much, but you need to let me go..." Leading to you unlinking your fingers, and exaggerated fake cries of anguish. It annoys everyone around you immensely.

Sanji

✿ You shamelessly flirt with each other, making everyone around you uncomfortable, groaning at how painful it is. You weren't together when you started playing this romantic game of chicken, giving back everything Sanji threw at you, and then some, but once you figured your feelings out, you actually developed it into a legitimate game where you attempt to be as sickening and obnoxious as possible. If there is no one grimacing, angrily telling you both to pack it in, or simply leaving the room; you aren't flirting enough. There is a points system, and you're currently in the lead. Sanji ends up caving over the things you say, and his brain loses the ability to form words, let alone string them together in a coherent sentence.

✿ Sanji always leaves a drink and a bite to eat for you to wake up to, since he isn't there in person, having to wake up much earlier to prepare the food for the day. Growing up in a restaurant, early starts are just part of his natural rhythm, so it doesn't bother him, but sometimes you try to wake up with him to at least watch the sunrise together, before going back to bed for a couple more hours. He cherishes those mornings, and there is always an extra spring in his step on those days.

✿ He takes every opportunity he can to share a glance and a warm smile, a gentle touch of your hands, or a chaste kiss with you. They are agonisingly brief moments, but Sanji needs them to get him through the day, otherwise he would just cling to you, and neither of you would get anything done! Unknown to you, these moments are also his way of reminding himself that you chose him over everyone else, that he is loved unconditionally, and that he is enough, without having to, in his opinion, burden you with his insecurities. He'll open up to you one day, and you will be able to give him verbal affirmations along with everything else~

i appreciate you as an astarion Understander, but shadowheart is my pookie so i gotta ask what you/du drow think of her...i mean they're bestfriends obviously but what did he make of her pre-shadowlands? what about during act 2? post gauntlet of shar? personally, the shar temple really endeared me to her even if i found the act of doing some of the trials a bit annoying.

Oh I found Shadowheart to be the Most annoying character when I started to play the game and disregarded her as "the hot goth with no substance that they put here for the Morrigan fans" of the story, at least for the majority of act 1. She very slowly became one of my favorite companions though - her development is Wonderfully paced and I love the "open-endedness" of her quest (at least as I went about it), she's facing a similarly terrifying predicament as Astarion and DU Drow where, yes, she may have freedom now - but she has nothing else at all. Not her parents, not her memory, not her god (since I dont personally like the idea that she would just flip to Selune immediately).

What I find kind of interesting about her is that she gets... Less confident in herself as the story goes on? And how, in her particular case, that's both a bad and a good thing. She learns that the world isn't so black and white and that she's been fed lies through most of her life, but that seems to leave her with this frightening uncertainty that she must now contend with, instead of turning into anger or righteousness. It's a surprisingly faithful representation of what's like to escape a cult mentality. In a lot of ways she gets a lot LESS cool as her story progresses - but In a way that I really like, if that makes any sense.

DU drow would have found her similarly annoying at the start (Just took her as a naive religious nutbar) but she slowly endeared herself to him by having a mean streak of her own. They often saw eye-to-eye in their "fuck you, got mine" kind of attitude and DU Drow would have really appreciated her straightforwardness. The moment where I realized those two would get along was during a dialogue you have about her mission, I don't recall the exact wording, but she says something in defense of her blind faith and you have the option to reply along the lines of "Spoken like a true pawn", which I did, because I was playing an asshole. But instead of getting mad she just... Acknowledged it with a little humor and then let it roll right off her back. DU drow really appreciates people like that 🤷

I surmised that, with that attitude plus their shared memory affliction, they would have grown found of each other pretty quickly. If she had been the one to turn me down at the tiefling party instead of Astarion, I would have probably romanced her instead, which is a funny alternate reality to think about.

Then, her and Astarion egging him on with the Loviatar priest pretty much cemented their threeway dynamic for me LOL

Past that point, Shadowheart played a key part in DU drow's own "questline" as the person he later mirrored himself off of. She defied her deity of her own will (I didn't persuade her to spare Nightsong, I just let go and let god) she gave up on her own destiny and greatness in favor of just... Being her own person. It would have gotten DU drow thinking a little more deeply about these things, specially once he found out he was Bhaal's chosen.

Also, they both have a soft spot for animals.

There is not a thing that Neron doesn’t love about you. He loves seeing you in his bed, laid out like a fucking dream, a patchwork of scars and tattoos that tell the story of your life. He takes his time to explore them, memorise them with his fingertips and tongue. He learns what makes your breath hitch, what makes you laugh, when to go harder, faster and when to slow it down.

He loves early mornings, hearing you bang around his kitchen trying to find shit. He loves the way you always greet him with a smile, that you are always happy to see him even when you’re distracted.

He loves the way you draw roses, and daisies and sunflowers when you're thinking, doodling different variations of the flowers over and over again until find a solution to the problem you’ve been tackling in your head. He collects each of the napkins you draw on and puts them away in a shoebox at the top of the wardrobe where he keeps his precious things. When you’re not around and he’s feels the darkness starting to creep in, he gets them out and he looks at them, tracing his fingers over each of the designs because they're beautiful and sometimes he needs a reminder that there’s light in the world.

He loves the fact you sing in the shower despite the fact you’re terrible. You’re bold and loud and have no fucking shame and he adores it. You laugh when he joins in, his arms wrapping around your naked form as the heated water rains down on the two of you. After a few minutes the singing usually stops because you’re both too pre-occupied with other things.

He loves the way you hold him at night, his head tucked under you chin so he can hear your heartbeat in your chest. It’s a comforting sound in the depths of the darkness, the press of your bare skin against his as you kiss the top of his head. Sometimes you tell him that you’re terrified this is all a dream, that one morning you’ll wake up to find yourself alone. He kisses away those doubts, his thumb ghosting over the line of your jaw as he reassures you that he’s real, that what the two of you have is everything to him and he’s never going to vanish from your side.

He loves the fact you don’t judge him for his mistakes, the past or the present. He doesn’t want to scare you off, to burst this perfect bubble that the two of you have created. It’s impossible you tell him, to get everything right the first time. You’re both human, you’re both learning to love again, so long as you're open with each other and honest you’ll work through it. He finds being with you surprisingly easy. He was on his own for a long time, his only intimacies transactional, to find someone that actually cares for him and not what they can get from him is a blessing.

You fit into his life as if you were always meant to be there. He enjoys cooking for you while you draw up designs for your customers on the kitchen table. He loves the expression on your face as you focus on the flow of the design, the flourish of it. Your brows furrow when you concentrate, you pout just a little when things get tricky and it is the cutest fucking thing.

He calls you Nena.

It means babe, the only term of endearment he knows with his mix of Spanglish.

He loves the way you eat ice cream on the couch, spoon pressed against your lips as the two of you curl up under a blanket and watch ‘Escape to the Chateau’. He does not understand how it became his favourite show, only that he loves how fucking judgemental you get when someone starts to try preserving antique glass by bashing the frame around it with a hammer.

He loves the way you give without an expectation of return. To him, your business, to the kids at the community centre. Sometimes he worries you’ll have nothing left for yourself. He tries to speak to you about it, about overstretching yourself but there’s no stopping you. You’re a force of nature, a relentless storm trying to do everything you can to ease the burden of those around you.

When it all gets too much he’s there, a port in the middle of a restless ocean because you are only one woman, and you can only do so much. The thing about Neron is he grounds you; he keeps you on your feet when the realities of the world are too harsh to deal with, he never says ‘I told you so’. He’s always there, holding you up, supporting you and despite how fiercely independent you are, you need it. You need him. You’re cut from the same cloth you and him, two halves of the same soul.

What are some survive rarepairs you enjoy? Any dynamics you'd ever wanna explore in a shipping sense that you havent?

Uuuuh the main one was Ryo and Minoru but there are two others that I can say I don't necessarily ship (like I'm not actively playing the game and going "these two should kith maybe") but do think could be cute together

The first one is Saki and Miu, maybe not now, but when they're a little older. I like the idea of them post-game letting loose and doing all the things they were never able to before together and just growing closer and closer over time. I feel like they both have a similar quality of simultaneously being very blunt while also being afraid of being themselves too much, and they just kinda,,,get each other. They find each other's flaws endearing; it makes them feel better about their own hang ups. They could look at each other's ugliest sides and still smile and say "I think you're beautiful," and it helps them realize that "yeah, you're right, I am."

They would be super adventurous, going around trying everything from the latest food craze, to escape rooms, to camping, to just anything that catches their interest. They love to explore the world together. I also just like their opposing aesthetics. Cute n creepy. Opposites attract on the surface but actually they have a lot in common <3

They're both pretty perceptive also, so I think they'd both totally notice it if the other was feeling down and go out of their way to do something nice. Saki is good at telling exactly what's bugging Miu and how to fix it. Miu is a little worse at figuring out what'll make Saki happy (but in her defense, Saki is a little more fickle about what will and won't cheer her up), so instead she'll just ask "how can I help" and refuse to take "it's fine" for an answer.

Also think they'd play games and binge shows together. When they can't go outside, they'll just get lost in fantasy instead.

Plus you can't tell me it wouldn't be hilarious if like,,,

Miu, age 11: lol Kaito gay what a loser

The other is Ryo and Kaito. I just like their vibes. I like them being happy spending time quietly together.

Ryo's still kind of a crybaby, but Kaito's surprisingly nice about it. Whatever it is he's whining about this time, he'll help him with it no questions asked. Kaito's still kind of a ✨fucking idiot ✨, just constantly hurting himself in some way or another + he's completely helpless in the kitchen, so now it's Ryo's turn to help him. Basically, they're just really good at taking care of each other!

Total enablers, the both of them. If one of them picks a fight, the other will NOT try to calm them down. If anything, they're more like

Except instead of a flower it'd be like "hold my earring"/"hold my kunemon"

Like Minoru's pretty bad too but I feel like the odds of him successfully talking their way out of it if Ryo picked a fight are pretty high. Kaito literally would not even try. "Let's talk about this" is a thought that would never cross his mind for a second. If Ryo wants someone to get punched in the face, someone is getting punched in the face; it's just a question of which one of them is gonna do it first.

Also the kinda couple that wouldn't even look like they're dating in public but are secretly kinda really sappy in private. Lotta leaning against each other and falling asleep on top of each other.

Ryo's a little extremely irritated that Kaito's taller than him even though he's younger. If they're hanging out at home, Ryo keeps making Kaito sit down so he gets to look down at him while they're talking for a change. Half the time he won't kiss him unless he's sitting down either. Kaito thinks it's stupid but goes along with it anyways. It's not his fault if Ryo's kinda cute when he's got that stupid smug smile on his face.

Now that I'm thinking about it, I remember Takuma mentioning that he thought Kaito looked older than he is at first, and I don't think Miu or Kaito ever actually said out loud to everyone else how old they are or what grades they're in...So now I'm thinking it would be really fuckin funny if Ryo thought Kaito was the same age/older than him at first and was devastated to find out he's 14 ladfjak

pspsps manifesting more darius blight au thoughts? they may be rent free but i would pay 👀👀👀

*cracks knuckles* alright here we go:

-alador and darius can't decide if they should both just be called "dad" or if one should be "dad" and the other should be something like "papa". but the kids come to an unspoken consensus that they are both generally called "dad" but if it's a situation where it might be ambiguous, they are "aladad" and "dadrius"

-alador finds this funny and delightful. darius finds it a little bit endearing but very cheesy/lame, but he doesn't do anything to discourage it

-edric and hunter are both extremely prone to infodumping and their interests have a good bit of overlap, so they infodump to each other a lot. this can go on for hours on end.

-alador is the type of person to bond with people a lot via shared interests. and he worries that with himself, darius, and amity all being into abominations, the other three kids might feel left out. so he tries to learn a little bit about edric, emira, and hunter's interests.

-with hunter and edric, he just has to bring the subject up (and periodically encourage them that no, he's not bothered by how much they're talking and would love to hear more), and they'll go from there. alador knows he probably COULD let himself space out and just nod along, but he's determined to actually pay attention and learn about what his kids like, leading to him sometimes straightup taking notes and asking questions to keep himself engaged.

-emira's more reserved about her interests, you can't just get her to go on a full spiel like you can with her brothers. alador kinda has to study up on the stuff she likes beforehand so he can have a full two-sided conversation with her

-basically he took amity's "you never talk to us!" criticism to heart and makes sure to talk to all of them. he also makes an effort to ask them about how their day was and how they're feeling, but talking about interests is way more in his wheelhouse

-(absolutely no one in this whole family is neurotypical)

-darius, despite pretending otherwise, is generally the one to go to to talk about personal issues. he provides good emotional support and also will absolutely not hesitate to join his kids in shit-talking a high-schooler he's never met

-he's also the better one to go to for advice. except he's like, 95% really good advice and 5% the worst advice you have ever heard in your life. no in-betweens. (alador has seldom made a good decision in his life, so usually the only useful advice from him is what NOT to do)

-i already headcanon that in canon, (when she doesn't just use a concealment stone) emira makes edric or amity braid her hair for her. she soon starts going to the rest of her family for help with her hair too.

-hunter picks up this skill surprisingly fast; turns out the emperor's coven has given him boyscout level skills with braiding and knotwork

-she's only asked alador for help a couple times because, as much as he tries, he is just awful at it. and he'll consider a sloppy braid to be good enough because it serves the basic purpose of keeping the hair out of her eyes. also his hands are covered in something gross like 90% of the time.

-darius is the best at it but she only goes to him on special occasions because she'll ask for a single simple braid that should only take a couple minutes. and come out over half an hour later with a cramped neck, looking like an elven princess. (callout post to my aunt who used to do this exact thing to me back when my hair was super long, lol)

-darius insists that amity inherited the purple hair from him, despite them not being genetically related and purple not being either of their natural hair colour

-hunter kinda studies all the tracks but has taken a particular interest in potions. he and edric visit eda together for potions lessons and have a pretty fun time

-sometimes (but not every time) emira will tag along. sometimes just because she wants to hang out/feel included (especially if amity is ALSO going to the owl house to visit luz), but sometimes because whatever potion they're learning will have use in her healing magic

-once every month or so, alador and darius will get into a witch's duel. not in an unhealthy spouses getting angry and fighting way. they just genuinely wanna know who would win. it keeps happening because whoever loses will insist it was a fluke and demand they schedule a rematch. they've both won about an equal number of times. the kids bring popcorn. it's pretty fun for everyone involved.

-amity wants to try to join in and insists she could take either of them in a fight. but they refuse to fight a child. she is irritated by this and is like, "father, i crave violence" but they won't budge

-though if she sees either of them use a particularly cool move, she will write it down and get them to teach it to her later, which they always gladly do

-amity and hunter had similar duels til their dads found out and put a stop to it (amity had a slight winning streak going)

-hunter looks LESS sickly now that he's under the care of decent adults but he's still kinda Like That. he makes emira's older sister instincts flare up so bad and she has to repeatedly remind herself that she's not solely responsible for her siblings' wellbeing

-darius is the only one here who understands a healthy sleep schedule (i mean, he was often overworked as a covenhead but he at least TRIED to get enough sleep every night). he's pretty much enstated an unofficial bedtime for everyone else in the house, in which he scolds everyone to go to sleep before he himself goes to bed.

-hunter's got a lot of the same human food limitations as luz but to a much less severe degree, so amity has him be kind of a guinea pig for the things she bakes for luz (something that would make luz seriously ill would just give hunter a slight stomach ache). edric insists on also getting a sample because, like luz, he can't have dairy (it's a flimsy excuse). emira insists on also getting a sample because it's not fair that they get some and she doesn't. amity's not even that good of a baker yet but they're teenagers and free dessert is free dessert

-even though she doesn't play any sports anymore, amity kinda likes watching watching them (she knows the most about grudgeby and brawls but can get into pretty much anything). hunter starts off watching pro flyer derby to learn techniques but ends up also genuinely enjoying watching various sports. he and amity watch professional sportsball together and get SUPER hyped. like. jumping and shouting like a dad on superbowl sunday type of hyped. it's even worse if they're rooting for opposite teams.

If it's okay, Gray and Laxus headcanons? I saw these little clips of them from the fairy tail video game and it was so funny and endearing to me

Also there is no art of Gray and Laxus even near each other because search engines only ever generate content for other ships when I try to search them. And there's exactly 5 posts in the #graxus tag. So here, have this image I stole from CBR.

These two kind of end up being the power couple of Fairy Tail? Nobody expected it but their relationship is much less dramatic and more stable than most.

These two are both loyal lovers whose love language is favors and acts of service. They have to do relatively little speaking in order to understand each other and their affections.

Laxus has so much pride in Gray. Back in the Battle of Fairy Tail, he was calling the guy a loser. By the time Gray stalked off to go kill Mard Geer, Laxus was like "I can't not date him".

They can commonly be found touching each other in small ways--arms around shoulders, usually, but also heads on shoulders or in laps, or even just holding hands occasionally. The casual PDA isn't too dramatic, but it's consistent.

This is because of the way their magics interact. Laxus radiates his magic, which feels very electric and tingly if he isn't restraining it, while Gray radiates cold, molecules slowing down around him. The two end up balancing each other out and when they touch, they provide each other a strange sense of equilibrium and contentment.

can i ask your opinion on toxel and toxtricity? personally i cant find myself liking them, but i cant place why. toxel especially looks like it could be very endearing but i just cant get into its design, yknow?

While I like Toxtricity a lot, for reasons I'll get into in a bit, I'm not a huge fan of Toxel. I think I've mentioned this before, but personally I'm not a huge fan of baby Pokemon that lean into looking more like human babies instead of animal babies, and Toxel's "diaper" and distinctly non-salamander esq cheeks really don't do it for me.

But I'm also not big on it because it doesn't feel like it adds anything to the line conceptually. What does a baby-esq salamander have to do with the rest of the line being punk musicians? Because they're both loud? It just doesn't add anything, and I feel like Toxtricity could've stood on its own, or maybe even had an evo instead of the g-max or something.

Just from a design standpoint, the bit of electricity on the forehead is supposed to lead into a mohawk, but it looks really out of place here, as nothing else on the body really matches it. It uses white because Toxtricity has two forms with different colors, but this makes the palette a bit too monotone for its own good--it feels like a lot of the features blend into each other. A bright pink or something would've at least popped more without repeating one of the form colors. I like the expression, but aside from that, this one's mostly a miss for me.

Thankfully, things improve significantly when we get to Toxtricity, which has a great design. The punk look is a great theme and goes along well with the idea of it being a crested newt of some kind, and the colors pop nicely and convey the electric-typing well. I particularly like the body shape, which avoids becoming too human by making the torso and arms long while giving it relatively short legs. It also keeps the head and body flowing into each other instead of keeping them seperate like a lot of anthro designs would do.

I love the head region specifically; the way the mohawk flows down the head and then is complemented by the secondary color works great, especially with how the spikes on the head then flow down to match the direction of the mohawk. Good stuff.

My only real design complaints would be that there are maybe one too many details on the lower body. The leg stripes aren't needed, as there's already plenty of the secondary color on the chest and mohawk. Likewise, I could've done without the waist piece; maybe just have a few spikes directly connect to the torso there, which would keep the body from being too smooth while not feeling so busy.

The cords on the chest also feel like a bit much--both in the sense that they're detailed but also in the sense that they break up the underbelly color in an unpleasant way--but they're based off of actual guitar strings and I'm not sure where else you'd put them, plus the way they can strum them to generate electricity is neat, so I'll give that a pass.

The idea of this line having two forms, one based off an electric guitar and one based off a bass guitar, is a great idea. I'd say the execution is pretty nice too, changing up just enough details that the two look different enough but also clearly read as just two different forms.

Between the two, I think I prefer the amped more than the low key a little. Mostly because the bright yellow has better contrast against the purple than the low key's blue, and the overall look of the head and mohawk is a bit nicer. The cords look better on the low key however, both due to the placement and the way there's fewer of them, so they both have good things going for them.

The g-max is surprisingly good as well. I like how both colors are combined, which both accounts for both forms but also make it look appropriately powered-up. The crazy eye looks sick, and is appropriate considering this thing is effectively high off its own toxins, like a true rockstar.

Most importantly, though, I love that it's quadrupedal here, along with the weird salamander tongue and flatter feet. I don't mind the originals at all, but having a version of it that's a little more salamander-esq is a great way to handle the g-max, and it makes it look pretty threatening as well.

The only thing I don't like here--aside from the leg stripes, but those were on the originals anyway--is the waist piece again. The idea of a radio tower/tesla coil tail isn't bad per say, but the pink isn't working well with the blue and yellow because they're all similar shades compared to the much darker purple of the body. Having the tesla coils on there just feels too busy as well, and the tail feels like it needs to slant back at more of an angle to match the mohawk. In general, I'd make the tail area the dark purple, get rid of the spikes and the tesla coils, and just have the tower there. Or alternatively, run the mohawk down the body and have it jut out at the end to form the tower tail that way.

But yeah, as a whole, Toxtricity is great, with good forms and a neat design that has a clear concept and nice colors. My only issue with the line is that Toxel feels pointless, and possibly could've been dropped entirely; aside from that, these are some solid punk rock salamanders.

Okie, so. On the assumption that Chase would still want Omi to rule the world by his side, what do you think would change if Omi had been an adult when they first met? I'm thinking like 18 or 19. (I'm asking a few people this question because y'all have such good insights.)

Interesting question. Surprisingly, a lot of their interactions would be surprisingly similar to how they already are. It’d read differently, but in-universe it’d play out a lot like it already does.

In practical terms, they're really more of an intergenerational friendship than anything else. A lot of their bond started at an intrigue and curiosity towards each other that builds into mutual respect, trust, and admiration that it's rare for them to feel towards others. They also just surprisingly start simply enjoying each other’s company and finding it more and more fun to hang out together since their personalities click well. They both bring out a playful childness in each other when they’re together, despite usually being so stuffy.

So if Chase met Omi when he was a young adult instead, all else being equal, they'd still spark up a friendship a like like the one they already have and become just as attached to each other, I think.

I imagine Omi’s still very sunshiny, loyal, and confident. Honorable, but eager to see the goodness in his Heylin opponents. More mellowed out and mature, but 18-19 is still that stage looking for your looking for a place in the world, so still somewhat naïve, just not in as childish a way.

Omi is presumably a much more seasoned warrior than before, but still has a lot he can learn, especially since Chase teaches Omi a lot of vital things like how to improve his counters and how to loosen up and be more fluid in a fight. And Omi's relationship with Fung is probably still complicated and distant, so he's probably still somewhat affection-starved. 

So Omi would be about as open to the informal mentor-apprentice arrangement Chase strikes up as he is in canon and still able to be manipulated. He’d still be more open to Chase as a mentor and friend and a “place to belong” than he is to the offer of ruling the world. (From Omi’s end, I think young adults are more anxious about finding a niche in the world, while kids sort of assume things will slot into place more passively, so depending on how that’s going, Omi might be more emotionally torn over the prospect of having someone wanting to be with him and having a role for him than Omi was.)

Chase would still reach out his hand and wait for Omi to take it, he’d still approach Omi and communicate he has no will intent. He might pat his shoulder instead of his head, and he might have more trouble knocking him down. He’d also probably need a different term of endearment than “little one”.

Their fights would be less one-sided, but Chase would just get more serious and adjust accordingly. I really do think Omi surpasses Chase someday, but at first meeting, Chase would still have a lot of experience over him, and Omi hasn’t had those lessons he needed from Chase.

I think the most likely thing to change would be that Chase might be a little less flippant about the possibility that Omi might become a threat he has to destroy sometime soon. 

In the series, he mentions that possibility frequently, but never actually acts on it because he’d much rather have Omi come to his side, and he’s sure he can get him to. By the time Omi beats him at soccer, I think Chase just firmly is too attached to Omi to really want to destroy him at that point. 

If Omi’s a bit older by their first meeting, that possibility may weigh on his mind more. He’d push Chase into more intense, serious fights, so there’d be more of an arch-nemisis duality to their shaky friendship. The schemes would probably be more high-stakes, the battles would probably have more in them.

Surprisingly, I haven't given our first kiss much thought; then again I'm still a bit shy when it comes to my selfships, so they're not as fully developed as I'd like them to be.

I imagine the moment to be short but sweet. I've returned from the human world, and we're spending some quality time together. It's late, the House of Lamentation is quiet, and after hours of catching up, we find ourselves in his tub, gravitating toward each other, our hearts beating so fast and loud we can hear and feel them the closer we become. The room is dark, the only light from the television and jellyfish floating above, casting us in a blue glow that shines in our eyes and deepens the blush that's bloomed across our cheeks. The kiss is simple, a gentle press of lips, but it's charged with unsaid affection and desire that sends a wave of warmth throughout our bodies.

Omg, nicknames!!! So, there's something intimate to me about calling someone you love by their name; I'd definitely use Leviathan and Levi a lot, but by the way I say his name anyone would know I'm head over heels in love with this demon. Nicknames don't come to me easily. Maybe because I'm so shy and awkward, and it takes me a while to grow close to and comfortable with others. Admittedly, in my head, I've called him Wevi, though that might remain a secret because I'd die if he knew. Another I've considered is pumpkin since they're cute, orange, and round hehehe. Though he does express an interest in nicknames in a chat, and I don't want to let him down lol. I do like simple terms of endearment like love and sweetheart 🥺 Of course, I'd call him My Lord of Shadow and My Lord because my nerd heart can't resist.

I think our similarities are what brings us together. We're both shy, nervous, anxious, and insecure, and have a good understanding of what the other is going through and experiencing. We're able to be vulnerable with one another and learn how to comfort, support, and uplift each other over time. Showing affection can be difficult for us, but we know and are patient and supportive. There are days I take the initiative and others he does depending on how we're feeling. I imagine we get more courageous the closer we become, and hugging, handholding, cuddling, etc, become a lot easier and a source of comfort.

HEY YALL!!! FINALLY GOT ANOTHER BANGER FIC!!!

With a benatar focus too!!! its about benapuffs 2month Anniversary

Around noon, a sweetly strange scent wafts through the band's cramped bus.

And It smells like cookies.

While it isn't uncommon for Benatar to bake, seeing as whenever he has the time (and the scarcely found resources) to do so, he really enjoys baking.

Be it from surprising his friends with baked goods to the scents of the ingredients mixing together, to even being able actually to enjoy what he makes, there's just nothing quite like it to Benatar.

And since he's home alone (could you call it a home if it's a bus?) and surprisingly has the supplies, he decides to do something a little special.

That "something special" has to do with the current date.

About a month ago, upon FINALLY realizing their feelings, both Benatar and Puff confessed to each other at the same time. It leads to some good laughs on their part, (which, Benatar absolutely ADORES Puff's dorky laugh, and he will admit it unlike Puff) and makes for a good memory.

And today is the day that the two celebrate their one-month anniversary!

So... being the loving boyfriend he is, he made sure that tonight would be extra special- to show how much he cares.

He's not too sure how Puff feels, but, he just wished that he didn't always seem so cold and uninterested all the time. He's aware that Puff will do the same, but, he knows that's just how Puff is.

It's not like he'd have him any other way, either. He finds it... very endearing despite what most others would probably say... Not that it mattered to him. And that's because he was /far/ too worried over his current task (tasks?) in order to make today extra special.

As of right now... he's baking a special batch of cookies that he's learned over time-

That is, Lemon flavored sugar cookies.

He's decided to make these cookies in particular because they're Puff's absolute favorite. Anytime Puff finds him baking, he'll ask every single time if it's those special cookies he "loves sooo much," regardless of what it smells like in the kitchen. Or, kitchenette? Benatar prefers to think of it as a genuine kitchen, seeing as it gets the job done well enough.

Benatar always tries to go above and beyond for Puff, even if their relationship has been... very secret. Ben personally wouldn't mind telling the other two, but, he stays quiet for Puff.

Puff has this... weird-not-so-weird need to keep this a secret, and Ben's unsure if it's because he's got some weird inner conflict about being gay with Ben, or if it's because he doesn't want them to tell Tig.

Speaking of, Puff seems to be more distant from her than usual...

Ben smiles at the thought. He swears to himself it's totally not because he's jealous of Puff constantly chasing after her or anything like that.

He just isn't all too close with her.. sort of.

Either way, he'd rather focus on finishing up these cookies before everyone else gets back (at an unknown time to Benatar, seeing as they all just left at separate times... excluding Puff. Ben asked him to leave and wait at a nearby park)

Ben hums a soft tune to himself, (likely that of "Alien," which is Benatar's favorite song) as he sets the batch of cookies into the oven, and closes it.

Washing his hands, he makes sure to set a timer and collect all of his things.

Let's see...

Basket with other goods inside? Check.

A small, yet pretty bouquet of Puff's favorite flowers? Check.

The sappy little card he figured would make Puff laugh? Check.

Most important of all... the blanket!

Wait.. where was it?

He began to look around for the red-and-white checkered blanket, which he /knew/ meant a lot to Puff.

Frantically searching, he almost forgot about his cookies- up until he heard that awful, loud ass alarm.

He sped walked over to the kitchen (trying to keep himself calm, trying to reassure himself it was bound to be near Puff's bunk or something) area to open the oven.

He opened it to find...

Nearly perfectly baked cookies! Er- by Puff Puff standards at least.

Grabbing some potholders, he proceeded t very carefully remove the cookies from the oven.

And then the door slammed open.

"Holy shit-!"

Benatar scrambled to collect himself, nearly burning his arm on the pan and dropping a few cookies.

"Yo dudes!! How's it hanging?"

It was none other than Axel. Who.. was missing his shirt? And a shoe...?

Benatar's lips pressed together into a thin line.

"Aw damnit, it's just you Benatar." He slurs out, fumbling with the door.

Brushing him off completely, he sets his cookies down to resume his blanket hunt.

"What the ff..fuck are you doing?"

"Looking for somefin'.."

"Like what your- your fuckin'.. doll?" Axel laughs to himself.

"Good one." Benatar mumbles, annoyed at the sheer stupidity of his fellow bandmate. There's no way he's not drunk, considering how shitty that was. Axel usually had far better material, all things considered.

"No really, what are you looking for though?"

"That red checkered blanket… I'm trying to do some laundry."

"Oh yeaah that old thing! Well, it's," he hiccups, holding his head, "uh, fuck I… Wait, that wasn't a towel?"

Benatar froze, eyes wide in horror at what his stupid fuck of a roomate said.

"Are you talking about the white blanket with red checkered patterns and white tassels near the ends?" Benatar asked with major concern.

"Uh.. sounds about right.. check the towel cabinet I think? pretty sure that's where it was last."

Benatar quickly made his way to the bathroom area and opened the cabinet to find…

A slightly damp, folded "towel" that looked exactly like Puff's blanket. He prayed that it was because of their busted up dryer not working completely, and not because one of those stupid fucks used it for drying off…

He grabbed it from the cabinet, and shoved it by the basket and the rest of his things.

"W.. Wait, why do you even wanna know man?

Isn't that Puff's raggedy old thing? And what's with that basket?"

Benatar turned to him, doing his best not to seem like he was lying.

"Er, laundry, remember?"

There was a pause between the two of them.

Axel looked around… at the cookies, at the basket, the blanket and a very nervous looking Benatar…

And then smiled.

"Oh, right, dude! Thanks for the cookies by the way. Puff and I love these kind!"

Axel gave his signature grin, nabbed a cookie and hobbled off.

Benatar breathed a sigh of relief, hoping that Axel was far too stupid (or drunk) to really realize what he's planning.

So before Deejay can also make it back to question him, he grabs a small container, chunks the cookies into it, (with love of course- he's not about to ruin a shit ton of work) and sets it quickly into the basket.

He makes sure he has everything together… after making a final mental check, he grabs his things and dashes off.

As he begins his walk to their "secret date spot" (dubbed by Puff himself) he shoots his boyfriend a text letting Puff know he's on his way.

A grin plastered wide over his face, he starts to speed walk over to the park. He just can't wait to surprise him- especially knowing how much Puff loves to be spoiled like this. It's not like he doesn't do his fair share either, he just likes to be on the receiving end because "he deserves it-" and Benatar doesn't disagree. Ben loves to see the look on his face after he shows him some tickets he nabbed for Puff's favorite show, or after telling him that they're going to this huge amusement park, so on and so forth.

Before he knows it, Benatar's rounding the corner to see: Puff Puff sleeping under a tree, the evening glow on his face just perfectly to where it shows off how pretty he is. (At least in Benatar's eyes, that is.)

He smiles softly, setting his things down and softly shaking Puff awake.

However, Puff does not wake up gracefully.

"W-What the fuck?!-" He almost shouts, eyes darting around the area.

"Relax dear, it's just me." Benatar smiles warmly back, trying not to laugh at how brash his boyfriend is.

"Oh, uh- Well, g-good morning… dick." Puff huffs out that last bit quietly.

"Love you too. Close your eyes really quickly, for just a second?"

"The hell? You tryin' to get me to go back to sleep? …Well, sounds fine enough. I guess..."

Benatar rolls his eyes, grinning as he stands and unfolds the blanket, laying it out in front of them.

"Can I open my eyes yet, or are you not done setting up whatever gay shit you got planned?"

"Just a minute, 'kay?"

Puff grumbles out a "whatever" in reply, as Benatar continues setting up their picnic. He tries to quickly set up some of the flowers, plates with little sandwiches (crustless since Puff Puff is picky as hell) and drinks out, and finally finishes up to look back at Puff.

Smiling, he grabs a red rose he figured was especially perfect.

"Darling- No wait, don't open your eyes yet!- You may already know this but, today is the day of our two month anniversary… while some consider it to be a not so monumental-"

"Dammit Bentar!! Quit with the sappy shit or I'm gonna lose it!" Puff interrupts, and Ben can tell he's trying not to get a little emotional- he's always been that kinda guy behind closed doors.

"..Alright, Alright love, today's our two month anniversary and I figured… I would do something' special for today. You can open your eyes now."

Puff does as much, and sees Benatar on his knees with a rose in hand, surrounded with an assortment of all sorts of things prepared just for him.

Puff's eyes begin to tear up a little and he hugs Benatar fiercely, smiling and laughing.

"Oh, uh- sorry to make you upset, I didn't-"

"Benatar, you're such a stupid asshole! God, thank you for all this man… I can't remember the last time somebody's done this kinda shit for me.." Puff sniffs, burying his face into Benatar's shoulder and wrapping his arms around him- into a tight, loving hug.

Benatar blushes when he realizes what's happening, and slowly hugs him back. He rests his head onto Puff's, and they lay there for a comfortable period of time.

Yeah, this was definitely a good way to spend their anniversary.

Character interactions and dynamics I really wish we got/will get more of in the show:

Max and Will-

Probably one of the most commonly asked for ones because...yeah it's weird we *haven't*. They're in the same friend group, they have a lot more in common than pretty much any other combination (both financially struggling, both with absent/abusive father figures, both clearly have significant self esteem issues, they're 2 of the characters for whom music has been a key motif (SISOSIG being kinda what kept Will sane in the UD and Running Up That Hill saving max) etc), and now they're the 2 characters who have been specifically targeted by the upside down. Plus they're kinda...inverse in many ways too. Will is outwardly very soft spoken and gentle but we have seen when he gets pushed too far he can be feisty and irritated and all that, meanwhile Max outwardly might seem super detached and unapproachable to some people but she's actually super sweet and kind internally. They would balance each other out so much.

Max and Mike-

Come on, these 2 are both polar opposites and exactly the same. They clashed heads so much earlier but are now friends but we haven't actually...*seen* them be friends. Season 2 they were antagonistic, season 3 Mike was mostly about El and thus only started interacting with Max when her and El became friends so again they were negative towards each other, season 4 she had all of 2 scenes with him while awake, one at the basketball game and one in a flashback. I want them to have a friendship that is very much like "I will never stop mocking him but I will also beat the shit out of anyone who crosses his boundaries" from Max and "She is annoying as all hell but I know I would die for her if necessary" from Mike. I need these 2. And I need a combo of Mike, Max and Will because that would be great.

Robin and Mike-

Part of this is Maya saying *she* wants more scenes with Finn, but also because I think it would just be good for Mike to spend time with her. She's almost too open with how she thinks and Mike kinda seems to have a bit of trouble with noticing that type of thing with some people. It would be cool to see him interact with someone who just...rambles about her thoughts like she does, would perhaps help understand her somewhat and Mike needs that. Plus Robin having a lack of a filter she might accidentally call out some things and give advice Mike has been needing to acknowledge. Also I feel that Robin would be such a cool figure for Mike with her being multilingual and stuff, I can't help but feel Mike, as a writer, must think that stuff is neat.

Robin and Will-

Surprisingly *not* so much because of their sexualities, though yeah it would be nice for them both, but also because I think that Will is a type of person who likes just listening to people be passionate and excitable as he can be quite quiet himself. I feel like the things that Robin does that some others may find annoying he'd be almost endeared by once he gets used to it. And as for Robin, it would be nice for her to have a person who I guess she feels she can kind of help bring out of his shell around her without worrying too much about coming off as rude since Will like...is barely capable of getting angry.

Steve and Jonathan-

Both of these characters have grown a lot but we haven't actually seen them interact much past season 1 when they were...well, not exactly on good terms. Nancy told Jonathan that Steve has grown a lot and he seemed hesitant about that, I think it would do good for him to see he actually has, and I feel like now that Steve has gone through his character arc, he'd be more understanding of Jonathan himself. Jonathan could see the fact that people like him can grow and change, and Steve could further see how unfair surface level prejudice really is, like he did with Robin in season 3

El and Will-

Despite them being siblings, we haven't actually been shown them together much. Up until season 4 they barely shared a word outside of life or death situations, and then in season 4 they clearly love each other to death and have great chemistry and are family but they were separated for so much of the story it still ended up surprisingly bare bones. I wanna see them just...have heart to hearts and teasing and being siblings together.

Jonathan and El-

Seriously one of my biggest complaints in season 4 was the lack of a relationship between these 2. I genuinely can't remember a single conversation the 2 of them had, I don't even know if there were any. El having a big brother has such great potential, someone who is neither a full authority figure, even a loving one like Joyce or Hopper, nor someone her age who is going through similar life phases as her. Plus both of them are protectors, Jonathan had to protect Will all his life, El felt responsible for protecting everyone. I so wish we saw more of them, or...*any* of them

Will, Lucas, and Dustin-

The only 3 I'm grouping together because every point kind of applies to any combo. They're clearly great friends and would die for each other, but the show has focused so much more on romantic relationships, Will's friendship specifically with Mike, Dustin's mentor type dynamic with Steve and Eddie etc that we don't really see just those 3 or a combination of those 3 spending time together. And I really, really wish we did

There's more but this post is long enough so I'm gonna leave it there. What I'm noticing is my God Will really needs to interact with more characters in the show because how is it that he has one of the weakest shown connections with Max and his literal *sister*? It's not even me loving him, I genuinely think it just makes so little sense it's weird

Niabba's opinion of Zojja hasn't changed much. She always found her pretty incredible... though she did find that once she was out of the spotlight and safely at home with someone she could reliably trust, she'd often let down her guard. The exhaustion was always clear, and it's something she never showed to people outside the two of them.

Zojja was a bit surprised. She had noticed Niabba, of course, because she was brilliant, and brilliance is easy to notice. But while she'd always seen her as antisocial, she learned quickly that a lot of that was simply a very un-asuran shy, quiet nature. When they're in private, she's much more chatty, and even funny. It endeared her to Niabba pretty quickly.

What do their friends/family think of their relationship?

Zojja and Niabba started dating before Snaff's passing, and Snaff was really the only family Zojja had at the time. He was quite frankly thrilled- Zojja was incredibly brash and headstrong, and he could see long term positive effects on Zojja if they remained together. He didn't live long enough to see that come to fruition, but Niabba has always been happy to help when Zojja's feeling overstressed.

Niabba's family was quite frankly stunned. None of her relatives, immediately or otherwise, could fathom how she'd managed to land Zojja of all asura. Of course they were supportive, but Niabba had always been so soft-spoken and shy! She'd actually talked to Zojja first and asked her to lunch? They're still trying to wrap their heads around it.

How do their personalities/skills complement or contrast with each other?

Zojja is very much the more people-forward one of the two of them. She's brilliant and headstrong, always ready to make her thoughts and theories known.

On the flip side, Niabba is a quiet planner. She listens, organizes, writes things down, and helps Zojja organize her thoughts when they get to be too much. It's been an excellent back and forth.

What is their favorite aspect of each other?

Niabba is enamored of Zojja's fire and determination. It was part of what she was drawn to. To her, Zojja was like the sun, and she was hopelessly caught in that light.

Zojja found Niabba's quiet contemplation surprisingly calming. She wouldn't have expected to be attracted to someone so soft-spoken, she came to realize she was a safe harbor she could rely on.

Do either of them have pet peeves about each other?

Zojja has a tendency to leave her projects sprawled over every open surface, and Niabba has more than once wanted to shake her till her eye teeth rattle.

As far as Niabba, Zojja finds that sometimes she can get stuck in her own head, sometimes not even noticing when she's being spoken to. It doesn't happen often, but it drives her up a wall.

How would each reconcile with each other after a fight?

The main way they reconcile when things get rough is talk it out sessions. They'll go to the Snaff Memorial Lab, clear out the krewe, sit on the ledge overlooking the valley, and they'll each get so many minutes to air their grievances.

It keeps Zojja from going off on tangents, and it lets Niabba talk without risk of interruption. It's the best way they've found to work their situations out.

What would be their ideal vacation getaway together?

Somewhere in Divinity's Reach. While Zojja doesn't like the proximity to Queen Jennah, they both agree it's a lovely city far enough away from Maguuma that they wouldn't risk being bothered by someone looking for dirt or seeking to pester them about their work or relationship.

Think of a new way (AU, different situation, etc.) they could have met for the first time.

Meeting during the lead-up to Zhaitan, with Niabba being among the Priory agents that assist during the push to rescue Gorr. Niabba just being struck by Zojja's passion and determination, and trying so hard to reach out. Bonus points if the commander they're working with sees this and starts trying to match make.

occultation, barlow, and parallax for chain!

hello, friend!

Occultation: How quickly did you come to trust your FO? How quickly did they trust you? Were there many barriers that needed working through, or was it easy to get to know each other?

Ooooo, this is a good one. Chain is a pretty minor f/o so I don't think about her too often, but I still adore her. I also absolutely love this S/I and I think she's a fascinating character!

Ash is the flirty type, Chain doesn't have much relationship experience, so there was definitely a while of just Chain trying to get used to all that romance stuff, especially with a girl who's seemingly so confident and happy all the time.

In the case of Ash, she flirts around a lot and is pretty talkative and social. But there's a difference between being the popular one at Libra and people actually knowing who she is. She has a dark past, being a former hunter and criminal, someone who reveled in bloodshed and didn't give a damn about protecting the people. She knows that this city is going to kill her one, and she's prepared for it. Her character can get surprisingly dark when you think about how little she values her own life, so I think it's a big thing for her to have someone see the side of her that's there under all the smiles and goofy puns.

Additionally, because of her past and how she fights, Ash's body is covered in scars. Chain is a little shocked seeing them all for the first time, but she grows to love them because every single one is a story that Ash carries with her.

Overall, they get along really well from the get go! It's just that they both have sides to each other that no one else sees. The shadow beneath Ash's smile and how under the cool and collected persona, Chain is an easily flustered mess who honestly soesnt know what she's doing sometimes. Their relationship is about getting to know the sides of each other no one else does.

Barlow: What’s something that only your FO could tempt you into doing? What about the other way around?

This question had me a little stumped for a bit, but Chain is really the only one other than Klaus that Ash talks openly about her past with.

Ash is the one that can tempt Chain to be a little more bold and really put herself out there. This Ash S/I is loud and she's someone who always makes an impact wherever she goes. I mean, she literally fights by shooting lightning at people- Subtlety is not her thing, and she happens to be dating the sneaky stealthy werewolf of the time. They're opposites, and although Ash could never be so quiet, she does like seeing Chain be a little less afraid to be herself around the others.

Parallax: Did your FO deserve better?

Yup.

Chain doesn't show up too often and we don't know too much about her and I often find myself conflicted because she has cool moments, but she doesn't always feel like there's there if that makes sense. Yeah, sure, she can literally turn invisible, but she's also one of the few female characters. Sometimes it feels like her character doesn't always have anything going on besides how much she loves alcohol and the size of her chest.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great chest (hehe), but I just want to see more of her being her. She does have some extremely epic moments though! I think it's endearing when she pops up out of thin air to terrorize Zapp LMAO

Overall, I think Chain is a good character, but I just want more. She's seen doing absolutely amazing things, but I want more. Her episode shows her being a little goofy, and I love it. It does always make a little 👉👈 how cool and collected she is almost always. She's beautiful.

nice nice ty okay this will let me answer all the questions \o/

sterek: Ship It

What made you ship it? I'm pretty sure I knew going into the show that sterek was the big popular ship, so I was probably primed for it, but Stiles endeared himself to me within like 10 seconds of appearing on screen, and the sterek dynamic in season 1 was pretty blatant. Stiles being both obsessed with and intimidated by Derek, and Derek being "evil" but also the most tragic soft sad boy, lol.

What are your favorite things about the ship? I love a good brains/brawn dynamic, and they also play into that trope of being the only one to tolerate each other (Stiles's smartassery/scarcasm, Derek's growly anger and brooding), but beyond the very superficial level tropes, they also have a lot of traits in common, like Derek being surprisingly snarky and clever, and Stiles having that loyal, protective streak a mile wide that you'd usually see in werewolfy types.

Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? I'm kind of basic tbqh, I like most of the popular things... I guess one of my unpopular(?) opinions is that for as much as I love kinky fic, I have a hard time seeing Derek as dominant (and as submissive for that matter), so if I'm craving kink I usually get my fix with Stiles in other pairings instead. Domestic slow burn/future fic/non-supernatural AU is what I really really really go for with sterek, I think both of their issues (lol so much trauma between them) translate really well into all sorts of AUs so they're easy to slot into a lot of scenarios and explore deeply.

scott/jackson: Don’t Ship It

Why don’t you ship it? I just don't love either character very much; I go for the clever assholes, and both Scott and Jackson have the dumb jock vibe most of the time, so I don't seek out either of them. :\

What would have made you like it? I do enjoy some enemies to lovers tropes, and I think they could probably be great for exploring overcoming that childish dislike for someone when they get older, like maybe they meet as adults or something and they're like "wow, things are so different now", something like that.

Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it? Most of my complaints about them are to do with the show canon, and Jackson especially I think could have been really interesting if they just... did more with him, or if the show was coherent and consistent about characterization in general lol, so really, fandom's where it's at, because I think there are a ton of ways to explore them well. I tend to like Jackson so much more in fic than in canon even as a side character, so thanks to the people who like him and write him well.

Both of them like to have a lot of layers when they sleep (when you are tiny and old it is easy to get chilly at night) but 1 is on another level with it. 2 curls up with the blankets 1 positively cocoons himself.

who is the most creative when it comes to gifts

2s the most apt to give actual presents. He'll gather up any piece of jewelry or pretty fabric he finds out in the ruins, hoard it away for a bit, and then surprise 1 with an extravagant bundle of treasures. Floors 1 every time. 1 meanwhile will spot any sort of technology and very bashfully offer it to 2 like "is this? useful?" (inventing is not in 1s repertoire lol) and 2 is always over the moon about it.

who suggests new things in bed

2. Besides the fact that being an anthropology nerd means he's already fascinated by such things, he finds the way that 1 is always always scandalized by these suggestions incredibly amusing, especially given that 1 is perfectly capable of his own debauchery.

who cries at movies

2s the most prone to getting misty over sad movies, but at one point they're all watching a Charlie Chaplin flic (City Lights) and while 1 is mostly ambivalent about it, he bursts into tears at the ending, surprising everyone. He is not immune to sappy nonsense.

who gives unprompted massages

2, he's so touchy-feely! 1 will show the slightest inkling of discomfort and 2 will immediately be directing him to sit down and let him work on whatever joint is being bothersome. 1 does not object.

who fusses over the other when they're sick

In a complete 180 of his previous attitude of "go tend to your wounds somewhere that won't annoy me" 1 postcanon is much more attentive. 2 deals with lingering effects of being attached to the Seamstress, and while 1 is nowhere near the healer 2 and 5 are, he's stubborn and also surprisingly tender, which is often exactly what 2 needs. On the other side of it, 2 is 2. He's gentle and excellent at telling when something is Off TM, which when dealing with someone as full of himself as 1 is a very good asset to have. Comforts 1 when he has a (not uncommon) nightmare too.

who gets jealous easiest

He's slowly yet surely unlearning it but it's definitely 1 lmao. 2 will go out scouting with one of the others and 1 will just grumble and sulk for the rest of the day very dramatically.

who has the most embarrassing taste in music

They both have their moments lol. 2 lovesssss music so much and will hum along to it happily once he's learned the tune. This is a favorite. 1 also loves music but feels the need to be private about it. Gets caught singing by himself one time and is so flustered about it meanwhile 2 is completely heart-eyeing.

who collects something unusual

2 has a thing with anything clockwork, so he's slowly gathered a large amount of watches that he greatly enjoys fiddling with. 1s appreciation of jewelry also means things sometimes get a little gnarly lol. He once found a lone gold-capped tooth in the ruins, and after ruminating over the disturbing implications of it being there, pocketed it.

whose the most tidy and organized

2 isn't necessarily disorganized, it's more just a case of eccentric dad who has a complete jumble of things in various drawers yet manages to know exactly where each item is. 1 on the other hand is nearly obsessive with things looking neat. Adjusting lights by a few millimeters, smoothing the tiniest of ripples out of the rugs, the whole nine yards.

who takes the longest to get ready

1 by a mile lol. Only under the direst of circumstances will he actually hold off on making sure he looks his best and 2 finds it soooooo endearing right up until they're actually in a rush at which point he starts pacing.

who is the big spoon/little spoon

Ordinarily it's 1 (taller, likes to grab, shoulders perfect place to plant face, etc) but the first time 2 sleepily curls up around 1 and Holds him, 1 has a complete bluescreen moment in the best way.

who gets the most excited about the holidays

2 to a huge extent he loves loves loves holidays. Finds them utterly charming. 1 thinks they're ridiculous human constructs up until Valentine's rolls around, upon which his opinion improves considerably.

who gets most competitive

1 of course always wants to be seen as powerful and competent, so he hates losing at any of the group's games. Losing to 2 at sparring isn't his favorite thing, but at least 1 gets a chance for some eye candy

who starts the most arguments

Obviously 1 lmao. Not even necessarily serious things (although that happens too) he just loves bickering. 2 puts up with it because despite the sunshiney exterior, he likes letting off some steam with a good row every now and then. Good enrichment for the both of them lol.

who suggests a pet

Less of a suggestion and more of a running joke, but 2 frequently states that 1 is a cat person. This remains an inside joke until 6 hears it and draws a very mr bigglesworth + dr evil type picture of 1 with a cat that 2 finds hysterical. 1 is slightly less amused.

what couples tradition do they have

Reading together! 2 prefers nonfiction while 1 likes dime novels, especially mystery. They take turns on page-turning duty.

what other couple do they hang out with

5 and 9! 9s absolutely ecstatic over them getting together but it takes awhile for 5 to stop constantly giving 1 the "if you so much as hurt his feelings I'll make you wish you'd stayed dead" eye lol.

how do they spend time together as a couple

Lots and lots of relaxing together. They'll often chat for a while but much of their (non fooling around) alone time is spent in comfortable silence. Similar to the others, winter is spent together hunkered down where it's warmest.

who made the first move

The first declaration of love came from 1, and the first steps of actually making it a relationship came from 2 soon after. Took them both awhile to get there, there were lots of things that had to be said and done first (especially on 1s part), but once they got there it came easily.

who brings flowers home

2 has a long term project of getting the few surviving orchid seeds he found to grow, simply because he caught 1 admiring an old botanical drawing of some. He's eventually successful and the plant becomes 1s most prized gift.
