It is interesting though 'cause, since we have no fucking True Clue what the hell Crocodile's actual real End Goal with Cross Guild is right now (does he want to get One Piece and fight the Strawhats+Shanks, does he want to get Pluton from Wano (and/)or does he want to destroy the World Government?? We don't know), that we just have a fuck ton of theories on what could happen, but no way to really tell what the actual direction this entire plot thread is going to be

And one I've seen a lot of people suggest was Cross Guild recruiting more of the former (/OG) Shichibukai into their ranks

And I just find that idea so fucking interesting

Because this is where one needs to remember that Oda based the OG Shichibukai on the Seven Heroes from Romancing SaGa 2. The Seven Heroes were a legendary group who once in the past saved the world from a great evil (before disappearing and turning into an evil for the game's protags to defeat). Just reading the descriptions you can see how each of the OG Shichibukai match up to one of the heroes respectively. And the inspo would be fine and dandy by itself, like just some fun trivia about what inspired Oda. But the Seven Heroes were specifically created and lead by Wagnas, with Noel as his right-hand. Wagnas happens to be the character Crocodile matches up with, and Mihawk just happens to match up with Noel. And here we have Crocodile starting a new organization with Mihawk by his side, with unknown true goals. And we do have that one World Government that needs to get overthrown so the world can be "saved". So like.

Suddenly, the idea that Cross Guild could recruit some of the other former Shichibukai (to maybe help take down the World Government?) doesn't sound too out-landish at all

Especially because Moria alone is already like an actual contender for someone who could maybe join Cross Guild. Like, assuming he's alive and made it out of Fullalead with Perona. 'Cause with Absalom dead and Hogback gone with the wind, Moria should have like nothing else left but himself and Perona. And while knowing Moria he's going to be Very Happy about reuniting with Perona, like... where's he gonna go? What's he gonna do if the two escaped Fullalead? But because Perona and Mihawk already know each other, Perona could very easily become a bridge to getting Moria with CG, especially if he's still wounded etc from the escape, Perona would want her boss' to survive and she'd trust Mihawk to help probably. And god knows, if Blackbeard tried or even succeeded at stealing Moria's Fruit, the man could have some legit good intel on Blackbeard (and how he steals powers) that he could then share with CG, something Crocodile could appreciate. Also, if Crocodile and Mihawk want to ensure the Marines are too scared to come after them, getting Moria in their ranks would help with that.

Then there's Kuma. And. Well. Assuming Kuma doesn't kick the bucket in the next few chapters. If Kuma is still somehow alive and his soul/memories can be put into a body (some people have been suggesting his memories could be implanted maybe into a Pacifista or that giant robot on Egghead or maybe even his Seraphim, or maybe just memories could be returned back into his original body), and if he'll still have the ability to near-instantly travel across the planet then I'm putting my money on him returning to the Revolutionaries to be honest. But if he loses that ability, I don't think he's going to be sticking with the Strawhats to be honest. That said, he'll still need somewhere to go (with Bonney?), and with the rest of the Revs on the other side of the Grand Line... Cross Guild could, potentially, be the nearest, safest place for him, if for no other reason than the other former Shichibukai might be his safest bet right now. Especially if Crocodile ever did have any involvement with the Revolutionaries. But indeed, this assumes Kuma isn't Turbo Perma-Dead Forever, which remains to be seen.

I know a lot of people love Doflamingo and would love to see him back. Personally I want him to stay in jail, where he deserves to be. <3 Also I don't think Crocodile would ever want Doflamingo working for him, let alone go out of his way to travel to Paradise to let him out (though if they did, they could also release Weevil while at it, since he's also stuck in Impel Down) (But honestly, unless someone else goes to break Weevil out and Doflamingo just escapes while he's at it, don't think he's getting out)

Quick honorable mention to Law, since he is also a Former Shichibukai. His crew got nuked by Blackbeard but I doubt he'd join Crocodile and Mihawk for any reason, especially if he's still in the race for One Piece (assuming Cross Guild isn't) (Like Buggy is but Buggy might skedaddle for all we know)

But with the Shichibukai, this just leaves us with Hancock.

Thing is, last we saw her she was still in Paradise, wanting to reunite with Luffy. It is entirely plausible she could (or may already have) set out for the New World if she feels like she has to leave Amazon Lily to protect her home-- which she might have to, considdering without her warlord status the Government has gone after her. But indeed, if Hancock is on the run and heading to the New World, surely she'd want to find Luffy. So why would she ever join Cross Guild? She doesn't like men (aside from Luffy), so surely she wouldn't trust that disaster crew with a clown for a mascot. But again. This is where "what the fuck is Crocodile's end goal" comes in again. Because if he wants to destroy the World Government and wreck the Nobles' out of orbit... Well. I don't think convincing Hancock to go back to the place where she was kept in slavery for years would be easy. But also. Perhaps, just perhaps, she could be persuaded into committing some delicious revenge under the right circumstances (whatever that might be).

IDK man, there's potential here, things could get so interesting with Cross Guild and whatever the fuck Crocodile is planning (vs how Buggy's mutiny rolls out)

It is kind of funny though, how like the best case scenario for Cross Guild Shichibukai Reunion would be like. Kuma and his daughter. Moria, Mihawk and their collective daughter. Crocodad and his sharp boyfriend. And Luffy's wannabe fiancée. (The clown is optional)

The Girl in the Record Store - Chapter 1

Eddie Munson x Metalhead!Reader

Summary: Just having moved to Hawkins with your father, your family business finally opened, a small little record store in the middle of town. You weren't expecting to always be an outsider in this small town, but a specific long haired boy catches your eye.

Warnings for this chapter: Nothing! Just a cute way to meet<3

A/N: My first story! I see a lack of Eddie x alternative reader stories on this website so I thought I'd write one :) also I'm a naturally flirty person so the protag will probably be a little flirty.

Flipping over the open sign on the glass door, my father turns to me, a wide grin splitting his face. I giggle and finish hooking some shirts on the squeaky circle rack. Walls painted black with posters of various bands of assorted genres adorning the walls, I smile as I look over my work. Decorating the store was definetely a long task, but the thought of the store finally opening gave me a sense of pride. I make my way behind the register and check the time, 11 AM. I put Metallica's Kill 'em All on the record player next to me, and the music plays through all the speakers in the store.

"Damn, you did a good job at setting those up!" My dad yells from the back room. I brush through my lengthy, flowing hair with my fingers. My outfit is simple, a black Motley Crue tshirt and tattered jeans, fishnets cloaking my arms and legs beneath, and some old docs with frayed thread lining, also a leather jacket to protect me from the chilling bites the air conditioning sends through the air. I pull my hair back into a ponytail and look into the mirror I set up next to the register. I wipe down the counters, the specs of dust dance through the air like wisps. The bell on the door chirps, and I shoot up my gaze to see who's walking in.

"Welcome!" I grin, placing a box down at my feet. A group of three teenagers are our first customers. My gaze locks onto one in particular, into his chocolate brown eyes, my thoughts getting lost in the darkness. His long, scruffy, brown hair swaying a little as he walks towards the counter.

"Hey! This is a cool little store you have here!" The long-haired boy smirks. I scan my eyes over his form, noticing where his Dio shirt clings to his body, and I bring my view back up to meet his.

"Oh! Thank you!" I simper, brushing my hair behind my ear. His two friends had walked off to explore our selection, leaving the two of us to our own devices. "It's my dad's store, but he's in the back, he's wanted to open a record store forever," When I realize I'm rambling, I'm quick to cut myself off. He laughs softly, the sound releasing the tension from my shoulders.

"I was gonna say, you look a little too young to own a store like this on your own," He chuckles, leaning onto the counter; he looks up into my eyes. "You gonna come to Hawkins High this year?"

"Yeah! It's gonna be my senior year, what about you?" I gain a little more confidence, leaning over the counter a bit. Now we're at eye level.

"Well it's a little embarrassing, but I'm be in my senior year for the third time," he sighed quietly. "But this is going to be my year, I can feel it," he grins. His optimism makes me smile. "What's your name, sweetheart?" The nickname makes my heart palpitate, threatening to break through my ribcage. My breath hitches and I avoid his gaze, praying he didn't notice. When I tell him, he smiles. "Pretty," he croons.

"What's your name, sweetheart?" I mumble the last word, his eyes move to the counter as he laughs.

"Eddie, Eddie Munson," he disclosed.

"Nice to meet you Eddie," I beamed. "Do you wanna take a look around?" I offer. He stands up straight, pushing himself off the counter. He looks me up and down, but I look away, pretending I don't notice.

"Why not," He hummed. "I'm sure I'll be here a lot though," he smirks. God, what I would do see that smirk all the time. He saunters away to where his friends were standing, and I couldn't help but watch him. The way the chains clung to his outfit sway, breaking the monochromacy of his all black outfit. The tattoos that sit upon his arms. I don't know what it is about him, a person has never made my heart beat like this, sent razor sharp chills up my spine. He laughs and jumps around with his friends and I can't take my eyes off him, twirling my hair around my finger.

After his friends paid and left, he stayed behind for a little while.

"Hey, when you come to our school, just stick around us, alright?" He sighs. "I don't know what kind of school environment you're coming from, but the kids at our school are very judgemental, and I don't want you to get harassed or... anything like that."

"Thanks! I'd really appreciate that," I grin. I grab a pen and write my number on the reciept that I'd forgotten to give his friend. "Hey, your friend forgot his reciept, you might wanna check if he wants it," I giggle. He looks over the didgets, and snaps his gaze up to me, searching the depths of my eyes for sincerity. I nod and he sighs into a smile.

"You know, I think I'll be keeping this, thanks sweetheart," He sticks it into his back pocket and turns on his heels.

"Anytime, Eddie."

Valorant Agents and their Comic Books (Headcanons)

A buncha headcanons and comics based on this one illustration. I wanna make it clear that these are the ALPHA AGENTS’ books. I got something else planned for the other comics from Omega. Below is the summary on the back of each imagined book and the headcanons below. Enjoy!

Solar Strike: Series X

A young teen, Sol, struggles to control their powers, generated from the ancient evil called the Demonheart, while fighting against evil forces that threaten their world. Their team of friends battle against aliens using Chi powers learned from a ninja master’s scroll. The Demonheart threatens to overtake Sol, can they stave it off and prevent it from costing them their friends? Find out what happens next in this new chapter!

Let’s be clear, this is what Neon is reading in the illustration and yeah it’s probably her fav

She likes the fights and the protag, she kinda relates to it now more because of the whole controlling powers subtext

Neon’s definitely a fan and loves the flashy action and inner turmoil the character has bearing a lot of unstable powers

Her, Jett, Phoenix, Yoru, and Gekko have watch parties for the anime adaptation. They also lowkey want to cosplay at a con when given the opportunity

During training, Neon called some duelists over and did the famous Kami Blast move using her lighting as a joke

It was pretty funny but Reyna walked in and commented on how effective it was, not hearing Neon beforehand

That’s how Neon started using the finger gun to aim her powers

The series has been going nearly forever, and is peak shonen in terms of being milked by the publishers but it still maintains a strong fanbase

Sova used to read them at his babushka’s when he was a little, and was confused when he saw that it had continued for 10+ years. He’s so behind he isn’t even gonna try to pick it back up

Astra likes the comic too, mostly because of the cosmic level threats are so laughable to her but also because she likes how fun it is and maybe relatable because of her own responsibility

Ribbon

Private middle schools are prestigious, but the Blue Ribbon Boarding School is the most high class of all. Anya is a delinquent who won a lottery to go, but has no manners or aspirations. Still, she goes to the school to dominate the sports and because she may be developing a slight crush on almost all of the students.

Jett reads this religiously, and debates with Neon over if it’s better than Neon’s fav

Anya’s take no shit attitude and general punk nature is something Jett got into as a teen which helped to be more assertive

The MC being bisexual was pretty much what made Jett realize her own sexuality, but for the longest time she thought she was just really into the character’s story

The drama is for sure complex, and Jett, Neon, Raze, Killjoy, and for some reason Sage will speculate on who will get with who

Recapping all of the relationship tension as well as the results of sports events or festivals is like a never ending net of betrayals and broken hearts

Reading is guaranteed to result in gasps of surprise, and the author is great at making twists and turns to keep readers engaged

Reyna will occasionally borrow a copy from Jett to read to Lucia

Compound Fracture

A man with an incredible debt is forced into fights against other indebted people in underground fights. Bloody combat against a bracket of trained killers and martial artists is inevitable, but each kill is a step closer to freedom. Will he die in debt or survive and become the world’s most dangerous man?

Yoru loves this manga, mostly because he likes to see how brutal the fights can get and the Yakuza stuff inside it

It may also have something to do with the fact that the artist is also from his province too and because he gets them in the original Japanese

Sova and Sage also got a little into it, mostly because Sage likes that real martial arts terms are incorporates and Sova just likes the story

A copy somehow made its way to Breach and he got pretty into it, mostly because he liked how it really went crazy with the violence and how it was about getting free of restrictions

Jorgio’s Strangest Battles (On Part 19, Land of Luck)

A family with ties to an ancient power fights for humanity against hordes of clever villains using wits and supernatural beings summoned from their fighting spirit. Each member has a journey that pits them against pure evil, but their resolve to bring justice to the wicked is unbreakable. This week, the crew in Hawaii faces off against an onslaught of mythical felines attempting to steal a precious piece of lava rock! TO BE CONTINUED!

Breach loves this manga, as does Harbor and Skye. Buff people like this series because of the art and poses are *fabulously majestic*

The three will strike a pose from time to time or reference a line, the references are a little much but usually result in a small laugh

Breach once pointed out that Deadlock’s wire was similar to a protag’s (from the 6th part) and she had no idea what he meant

Then she read up on it and completely agrees

Chamber also likes it because of the references to classic Western art and the high fashion design. Pure fabulosity

Each fight is absolute rollercoaster of back and forth outsmarting, but for whatever reason Deadlock can guess the next move

Hearts in the Heat of Battle

The nations of Nauz and Phrena war with each other, each using armies and mages to destroy each other. Unbeknownst to the feuding states, their generals have met at a masquerade dance and fallen for each other. If lovers continue, they may be executed but it may be the only chance for love they have. Love may make things complicated, but it may be the only route to peace.

Killjoy and Phoenix follow this one pretty closely, and is common ground for each of them. The theatre kid loves the dramatic stuff and the nerd likes the fantasy (and romance between two gals)

Cypher has a few copies stored at an old safehouse near Rabat, he still likes to hear about the series doing well

It was his daughter’s favorite

Jett loves the series and is beyond invested at this point, but supports the exact opposite ships as Killjoy and they have very serious debates over this

Reyna loathes this series, mostly because ‘Estas chicas necesitan besar y seguir sus vidas’ She’s in support of the main relationship but not the delay in getting there

Horrorscope

Written by talented author Stephanie Queen and illustrated by a randomly selected artist, Horrorscope is a monthly anthology of stories that chill to the bone. Beware reader, for the contents within will leave you changed and for some, twisted. Enjoy what lurks in the dark…

Reyna reads through it from time to time if she’s bored, same with Viper. Viper likes Queen’s writing and has bookshelf at home full of Queen’s novels.

Fade will look one over when she can, but mostly because horror is kind of her territory and she likes the art

Astra follows it from time to time and loves the more messed up stories that have really campy horror tropes. She enjoys how over the top some of them go but Harbor cannot do horror at all

Omen tried to get into them but just found them entertaining rather than scary, the man’s a living shadow of a man so horror doesn’t work as well on him

Deadlock has read a few and it was one of the few times her ‘unshakable’ nature was actually tested a bit. It got to her

Stargunner Crosshair

A bounty hunter and a criminal with a massive bounty on them have to team up to avoid the criminal having their bounty claimed by a mob boss. Set in a space-faring world, the duo have to navigate other bounty hunters, hitmen, and wild planets. The greatest danger? The two are beginning to enjoy each other’s company!

All the younger agents love this series

Fade tried to get into it because Phoenix thought ‘hey bounty hunter, here’s a story about your job’ and she gave it a try

The next day she told him that it wasn’t for her and that she’ll probably stick to reading from her bookshelf

Neon got into it though, and it didn’t help that the bounty hunter character looks like Fade but a little older and with a futuristic gun

Most of the older agents don’t mind it too much and glance over the pages if someone nearby is reading it

Neon got bored one day and styled her hair like the criminal protag and Fade caught her doing it

She decided to stay and help and the two talked about the comic for a while

Fade still denies she reads it, but in her room there is a number of those comics on her bookshelf that she exclusively lends to Neon

They’re both fans, and read it together and is one of Fade's secrets now

Titanic Drop

A crew of soldiers in giant mechs try to get home after being stranded far behind enemy lines in a deadly solar system. Fighting giant space beasts called Leviathans, other hostile Mechas, and weathering deadly planets is their only way out. Return or die, these mech pilots won’t stop until they destroy every obstacle in their way.

Killjoy loves this and has loved it since she was a kid. It may have helped inspire a few of the early designs she made

She tried to convince Kayo to allow a few modifications based on the comic, mainly the Mega Sword thing that she wanted to emulate by extending his ZERO//point knife

It was a no, but Kayo will scan through the comic just to see what KJ is planning to ask next

Brimstone has seen a few pages of it and doesn’t really vibe with it but does think the mechs look cool

Gekko, Neon, and Raze bought some models from a comic store to build and paint. They spent a few hours on it while Sage and Omen occasionally helped out

By the end, Raze’s was absolutely covered in stickers and spray paint patterns. Not really canon but still striking

The Dark Crusader

Mortham City has fallen from grace. Filth clogs the streets and gangs of supervillains prowl the streets looking for an easy mark. The superhero known as Captain Quasar lost his powers long ago, allowing corruption to take hold. Now, he returns to Mortham as Nocturne, a man with no powers but a lifetime of knowhow in fighting villains. Evil will learn to fear the dark.

Brimstone used to read the old Captain Quasar comic back when it was popular, when he was a still a kid

It was all of the generic superhero comics but it had charm and a main character that had some decent moments

The Dark Crusader was a reboot after the Quasar was ‘killed’ saving the world from a doomsday weapon

When Gekko and Phoenix told him about the reboot, Brim was skeptical

Turns out the writers knew what they were doing and created a grizzled character that still managed to be interesting without being overly edgy

Brim doesn’t read up a lot on the comic, but Phoenix, Yoru, and Gekko are all over it and even rented a copy of the movie to watch with him

Dead to Rites

Emerging from the grave after being booted from the Underworld, an ex-detective, Victor, finds himself on the other side of life. Able to solve supernatural crimes now, Vic seeks to find out the mystery of his own death while investigating strange crimes. Demons, spirits, and undead are as sinister as the living, but Vic’s keen eye leaves no tombstone unturned.

Omen has a stack of these in his room, he got them because he thought it looked cool but he kind of fell in love with the story

Viper has read through Omen’s stash just so she can make conversation, but was surprised at how well the mysteries could be laid out

Also the Frankenstein homages are Viper’s favorite because she loved that book as a kid

Fade thinks the writing isn’t as good as her books at times, but at least likes all of the mythology incorporated into the stories

Cypher pages through the books if nobody is going to play chess with him, along with whatever else he can read when he’s in the common room

(I spoofed a lot of comics like Hellboy and Dragon Ball Z to come up with these, I’m guessing you lot can figure out which is which. Genre spoofing is the best :)

Ok so I was in the middle of sending an ask for the Miu rage rant polite request like two separate times already but the app kept crashing and doing the wacky to prevent me from speaking on the matter oh well hope they didnt get sent anyway😔😔.... I have NO idea what she does I'll be honest I was too busy only caring about Ouma and Kiibo petrol puddle yaoi and Momota slander material to remember anything about Miu Danganronpa

*SMACKS TABLE REALLY HARD* rant incoming.

Okay so. Miu is a character that COULD be really great. If they changed nearly everything about her

She's insecure and lonely, and that results in her acting loud and sexual 24/7. That's an interesting character! You can do a lot with that! But they do not. They just have her sexually harrass Kaede, Shuichi, and Kiibo (and others.) Oh and call Gonta slurs.

From the very second we meet her, she's being an asshole to Kaede and constantly talking about her boob size and making fun of her. Yk how Shinigami gets when Kurumi pops up on screen? Miu is like that but whenever anyone is on screen. Kaede (thankfully) argues back and doesn't just take it, but. That sadly does not last forever. And then suddenly in DRS they're besties!!! While Miu is still making snide comments on her body!!! And Kaede there is just "oh miu!! So silly!!!"

Her FTEs are just. Her sexually harassing Shuichi. He's easy to pick on because he's insecure and shy, and Miu just fuckin runs with it. However Shuichi is only allowed to hate Kokichi so he just goes "Oh miu!! So silly!!!" Even when Miu triggers Ryoma. Like. She deadass triggers him and Ryoma is clearly upset and Ryoma and Shuichi go off to help Ryoma feel better but they don't. Do anything about it. Nobody yells at her or ANYTHING. Kokichi breathes and he's screamed at yet Miu can do whatever she wants apparently

Then. The way she treats Kiibo. Ourgh. At rhe beginning they hate each other. Miu sees Kiibo as useless, as a hunk of junk. Kiibo sees Miu as a vulgar, rude, shitty person. Then, suddenly, in chapter 3, they're suddenly besties and we get rhe maintenance scene (which. Kiibo didn't consent to that at all and people treat it as such a romantic scene aren't they cute together as Kiibo tells her to stop???/sarc). Like I'm not even kidding. During the trial they're hating on each other and then the NEXT DAY Shuichi walks in on the maintenance scene. It comes out of nowhere. Yes I know characters can develop without the protag seeing it but it honestly just feels like they realized none of the characters like Miu, even if they let her harass others. So Kiibo, the guy who's bullied by everybody and clearly has some confidence issues, gets shoved to be a romantic interest for Miu, the girl who forces herself on everybody and insults anyone about anything. It doesn't even matter because Kiibo makes one comment about feeling sad after Miu dies and that's it. One. ONE. If Kiibo's dad was in DRS he would've started a killing game over how everybody treats his kid, especially Miu

The only time she's not making me scream is when she's bantering with Kokichi and Gonta, but even then there's limits. Like. Wow she called the guy who's already insecure about his intelligence despite being a SCIENTIST slurs about how he isn't smart. Thank God Kokichi doesn't take shit and gets insults thrown at her to shut her up.

DRS isn't cannon but the way she acts is just... worse?? But thankfully Ishimaru my beloved is there. She flashes the WOH (you know. The children who have extreme trauma. The group of children with Kotoko in it.) And Ishimaru goes off on her and she cries, and IM SO GLAD NOBODY GETS ON ISHIMARU'S CASE. THANK YOU. HES RIGHT. Ishimaru with the hot take that you shouldn't flash children regardless of whether they seem upset about it or not. In DRS she's not insecure at all, she's literally just a predator. People were worried Haiji would get in the game but they forgot Miu is a creep too

And what gets me is that I COULD like Miu. I COULD like her most popular ships (which are. With the people she sexually harrases and abuses the most.). I just can't because the fandom has decided to ignore any bad traits about her in order to make a wholesome cute ship out of these characters. I saw someone deadass say that disliking Miu is misogyny AND ableism, because Miu is autistic and disliking her means you hate all autistic people. They say her special interest is sex. No it's NOT you do not know what a special interest is!!!!!!!! I'm not even autistic and I know the way she acts is not due to sex being a special interest she's just a fucking creep who wants to prove to herself that everyone finds her hot and desireable!!!!

If Miu had gotten any sort of pushback or growth or anything I would've liked her way more. But she stays the same the entire game. All she does is aggressively insult/pursue characters, give an invention or two, and die. She's just... so infuriating. When Shinigami gets annoying about Yuma and other women, it gets on my nerves, but I still like her because she has more to her character than that. Miu has. Literally nothing. Her insecurity is just used as an excuse for what she does- she only acts insecure when it benefits her, like when someone yells at her for FLASHING CHILDREN I CANT FUCKING GET OVER THAT. "Kids love this kind of stuff" YOU ARE REFERRING TO THE CHILDREN WITH SOME OF THE CRUELEST BACKSTORIES EVER. ARENT YOU SUPPOSED TO BE. SMART. LITERALLY EVERYONE ELSE CAN TELL THAT THEYVE BEEN THROUGH SOMETHING EVEN IF THEY DONT KNOW THE NITTY GRITTY DETAILS. I just. How do you make a character that is JUST Sexual Pervert Creep and then somehow have her become popular. Hifumi has more character than her. Teruteru has more character than her. And they never cross the line as often or as far as she does. I just don't understand how the fandom can see her as an uwu quirky autism girl!!!! She's legitimately a bad person and is infinitely more interesting when you acknowledge that and do something with that. Heck. One of my favorite characters of all time is also a scientist with a weird, creepy relationship with a robot/doll. The difference is that the game AND the fandom acknowledge that he is a Bad Person, and let's him be complex and interesting without trying to water him or the relationship down. Can we PLEASE let women be bad people. Like can we do that. I'm tired of the Uwu Innocent Queen thing. I'm tired of the Girl boss thing. Let women be fuckin awful and treated accordingly!!!!!!!!!!

I still can't get over how they made Kiibo a doormat for her, too. I'm sorry. Kiibo would NOT tolerate her behavior he would yell at her and leave. My guy has been bullied and harassed enough to know when someone means it or is just ignorant/is joking. Miu was not joking when she insulted Kiibo she just wanted him to listen to her and praise her. Punching the floor.

I'm not gonna even go into the Love Suite that shit was. Jesus Christ.

Okay this was very long so TLDR: Miu is a creep and the game nor the fandom cares about it in favor of haha sex joke and aw aren't they wholesome (ignore the bullying and harassment)

If there is one thing Vil can share with Idia, it's a love for movies. While their reasons for the art differ, it still brings them together.

One enjoys being on stage, being filmed. Vil enjoys becoming someone else and pushing himself to new heights. All eyes are on him, captivated, breathless, mesmerized at what he will do next. For a moment, he becomes someone else. Of course, he also enjoys the history of the industry and those who once stood on the same stage. It's fascinating to learn from seniors and surpass them.

Meanwhile, Idia could care less about the acting scene. He appreciates the actors, the characters that blossom to life as their story is told. Live actions are a little blander in his eyes. Animation is stunning. There's more to explore, unimaginable things that could not be captured in other forms of storytelling. Escaping into another world, and finding comfort in a character, even for a couple of hours helps him get by.

Despite his obvious interest in animation, Vil is still surprised at the variety of films Idia has watched. Whether it be on a whim or following an idol or current interest, he can hold himself with the classics. He's not as lively when speaking of him, but the fact that he knows is enough for Vil. And it's almost shocking to find out that Idia has watched one of his movies. Well, not too shocking, really. Why wouldn't Idia be interested in anything he stars in?

"...I know there's only so much you can pack into a two-hour movie and keeping the main plot is fine, but still?! They change so much! I guess it is better to have two protags instead of one running around since dialogue with one character would be awkward. The portrayal of the other world being parallel to ours is pretty neat. In game, you're usually going back and forth, so this is like a new version that probably got cut. Wouldn't make sense lore-wise, ya know?

"Aside from the obvious fanservice, the movie is still enjoyable to watch IMO. Normies who aren't familiar with the series get a taste while enjoying some cheap horror gimmicks. They'll never get to experience the true atmospheric horror the game can offer. Heh. If they're terrified of that version they wouldn't stand a chance of playing the original games. Ah man, makes me wanna whip out the game now. The second game may be better, but you can't beat the classic that started it all."

Vil keeps quiet as Idia speaks to his heart's content. It's absolutely beautiful seeing his passion ignite over one thing. The usual timid male explodes into a fiery mess when speaking about topics he's well acquainted with. The queen notes the little things about him that change too. How he stands taller, speaks louder, and keeps his eyes on his. There's also the noticeable change in his fiery locks. The blue flames that are barely a wisp seem to burn, shining brighter and even turning to another hue entirely.

Seeing Idia like this makes Vil proud. He knows that he has it in him to be assertive and strong, he's seen it before. All it takes is a little push. If he can fan the flames he can watch them grow right before his very eyes.

Unfortunately, this burst of growth never lasts forever.

Idia blinks, whimpers. He slouches and brings his hands together as his eyes dart around his room.

"S-Sorry. I know you told me to give you a b-brief synopsis of the movie. B-But I just...that series..."

Idia holds his breath. He was more than happy to talk about one of his favorite games being adapted into a movie. There's always a lot to say about them, especially from a gamer's perspective. He just feels bad for rambling and going off-topic. At least he hadn't gotten into the more grotesque aspects of the series. That was a bullet he managed to dodge thanks to a QTE. Someone as interested in beauty as Vil would never be interested in the abnormal and weird.

Then again, Vil did find him beautiful and he was just that.

Vil waves a hand, unbothered by his rant. Carefully, he tests the waters and rests his hand over Idia's. He doesn't flinch, only gulps. Golden eyes try to maintain the focus they once had on his lavender ones.

"I know the main actress in that movie," Vil starts. "She didn't know the game beforehand."

"Of course, casual."

"But. She did play during her free time. She couldn't make it too far into the game but promised she would finish it. She spoke to me about the changes but enjoyed them. The intended audience was not just old fans, but new ones as well. You can imagine that she was one of the latter."

"I d-don't know about acting like you, but...I did like her character."

"Even if there are discrepancies between the original and adaptation, if you watch closely you can still feel the heart of a character."

Idia nods, silently. The realization of his rambles caused him to hold back. Yet, he still has to ask.

"Have you ever played the game?"

"Unfortunately, no. That was a home console game, was it not?"

"Ah, yeah..." Idia isn't surprised. Learning that Vil dabbles in games from time to time is surprising. But that's old news. Now it's picking about what games he plays and what he's willing to play. An actor always on the move would be more interested in handheld games.

"W-Well...I do have a copy of it. Would you..." Idia takes in a breath. "W-Would you like to...W-We can play it whenever you're free! It is a one-player game though, so, uh, if you'd want me to speedrun it just for the story I can a-and fill you in on everything as we go..."

"Hmm..." Vil closes his eyes, thoughtfully. "Perhaps I can give it a go?"

"I can explore areas and- wait, wait wait. You want to play it?!" Idia gasps. "I-I mean, you're free to, of course!"

"What's with that look? Don't think I can handle it?"

"N-No! The early games have difficulty setting options, so even newbies can play. I-It's just a little hard trying to envision you playing a survival horror game." Idia sports a challenging grin. "But can you handle the hell that this game offers? The graphics may be old, but the monsters still hold up. If you get scared of a creature you're free to give up and hide in my arms, fuehehe."

"Oh? You think I would be frightened that easily?" Vil chuckles, amused. He enjoys the challenge presented to him. "I have time to spare. So, let's play, shall we?"

in my head, the fic would kinda go like this. mary's upbringing would be the same as in canon, so her family dies in an accident and shes raised by her religious grandma. her grandma passes when shes 19 and from then on shes very alone. and in the crossover she would like work as a waitress in the small town josiah frequents, in a diner he frequents. and they meet often and they kinda fancy each other and mary is religious like josiah and they talk abt jesus sometimes and also josiah eventually takes her out. and then josiah is just like okay that was enough courting i am now taking her By Force. so he kidnaps her on their next date. and then mary is just forced to be a nice stay at home wife and put up with josiah's human pets and cook and clean and go to church with him. they have a backyard wedding in front of god only because thats the only guy that matters anyway. mary is like fucking terrified all the time forever but also she has good moments with josiah and she grows to care for him deeply... im sorry i rambled so much but like yea this lives in my head rent fucking free

Had a dream about a magic school AU. Like... Literally my school but with magic and with Roxy as a protag because Blorbo. She was the only one in the school without magic so every magic lesson, she'd literally just take a nap on the desk. What else is she gonna do?

But also I dreamed how she was compensating for not having magic. She was mixing chemicals into explosives to win fights and like... Yeah it's kinda hard to argue against the dog with Potion of Kaboom™️

However, because it was a dream, my brain combined the Glams with the cast of Ni No Kuni 2 and got very confused when I woke up because the Kuni 2 cast actually fit a magic environment but FNaF guys do not lmao

There was also a bit where Roxy not having magic means naturally, she doesn't rely on it to solve problems. So while everyone was given the task of making a candle go out without blowing on it, she just. Stared in absolute bafflement as everyone around her immediately dove to figuring out spells that extinguish flames. Instead of just. Water. From the tap. Right next to them.

She decided to freak them out a bit for fun and when the teacher asks for volunteers to come forward to show what they've come up with, she immediately puts her paw up and gets called on. She wets her paw under the tap before anyone has their attention on her, walks up to the candle at the front desk, turns so everyone can see, says all professional "Today, I've learned..." pauses and then... just pinches the flame out. Literally just pinches the wick between the paw pads on her fingers and it goes out immediately. "That you guys are idiots." And walks back to her seat in silence with a smirk.

Naturally, a bunch of kids are yelling that she can't just do that what the fuck?! But she did just do that. It took her half a second to do what's taken all of them a good forty minutes to figure out at least. Teacher asks how she knew that would work and she just "you can't have a flame without oxygen. Obviously." and you get a chorus of "WHAT" and "WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?!" She's so damn smug about it lmao these people make showing off too easy sometimes.

Like sure, she physically can't pass a mandatory magic exam unless she's able to figure out ways around it, but she can at least fuck around in lessons lmao. She tried skipping them but they started getting on her family with all the typical mandatory attendance shit so she has to go now :/ she just sleeps in them or fucks with people for fun since everyone likes to flaunt their magic on her every day anyway. Eat shit assholes she knows how to put fire out with minimal effort!

I think there was also a bit about her trying to convince teachers that a non-magic sports club would be a good idea?? And failing miserably because they just don't see the value in a magic school with non-magic sports. Thinking now, she could probably make her own club after school but probably wouldn't get that much traction with it... Resenting her family and teachers and every power that be forever because she could be a top student and could be doing amazing in school if she was just in a non-magic focused one. But she's stuck here and it sucks.

I don't know where I'd go with the story but eh it's neat I like it! Definitely different to my normal stuff!

If we go by game that launched this year, I can't in sane conscience say SV, so I must mention Kirby Return to Dreamland Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch fucking slaps and everyone should Get A Kirby I also have yet to watch an Engage Playthrough sorry.

As for "Games I played this year", I finally got to play Pokémon Sun, and it was a ton of fun! I Understand Now, and as such, I have to give it the spot

I did! Quite a bunch! It is complicated to find one tho because between creating and actually writing them down, I take Forever, so most of them are. Sprung into existence somewhere in the fog of ages

One I created this year for sure was a Pokémon OC, Viana Asclepias (PICREW IMAGE NOT YET ACHIEVED), a woman from a family of pharmacists from Pastoria. She's someone for my theoretical Kanto-SM Sequels, being Lusamine's therapist alongside Bill...

Also her Parole Officer. She's an Interpol Agent, making sure Lusamine recovers physically and mentally while also, you know. keeping her in check.

She's rather quiet and keeps a cool head always, but is pretty warm-hearted and gives Lillie and the Protag encouragement and gifts as they go on their journey. She is how you get a Croagunk! Also, has a pet Shuckle

I know I’ve got some writing requests to get to and they’re hella late (HUGE apologies to those waiting for so long, school has decided to REALLY take over my life atm), but I wanted to take a little break from the college struggle and post something I wrote back in my notes app for fun! 1. How many works do you have on AO3?

86, very soon to be 87!

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

397,102. my god.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

The majority (over half) of my total fics on AO3 are Gravity Falls, but my current passion right now is obviously TAZ Balance, which is a pretty close runner-up. TOH is a lot further behind, but I have at least one WIP I want to finish up early next year!

4. What are your top five fics by kudos?

Some Sunny Day (Gravity Falls), Tulip's Return (Infinity Train), Stan and Ford Vs. The Future (GF), Fateful Detours (GF/IT crossover), Missteps and Miscommunication (GF).

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Usually, and especially when they give me a chance to infodump about the writing process! I just don't necessarily respond quickly lol

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

In recent memory, it might be but the strange lights in the sky were shining (TAZ). I write more happy/bittersweet endings than sad ones, but that one... that one has one of my absolute favorite twists :)

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

to eat from a poisoned plate (TAZ) is one that I almost didn't write a happy ending for, but I'm so glad that I did, because I go back and reread that one a lot, admittedly.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Usually no more than annoying but generic "please update" comments, but back in the Gravity Falls fandom, there was this one person that you've probably heard of/encountered if you wrote a lot about Bill Cipher back in the day.

They were a guest account user who'd get so mad if you killed off Bill, to the point of making threats (albeit exaggerated, not really realistic ones), and also one time they told me I should go read a particular MLP fic and take inspiration from it in my own. Which, no shade against MLP, but as someone who's never been in that fandom, that's literally the funniest entitled comment I've received in my life.

9. Do you write smut?

Nope, but I do occasionally write characters being horny. There's a huge difference between those things for me, and that probably has everything to do with where I lie on the ace spectrum lmao

10. Do you write crossovers?

A couple times, though I used to be way more into them than I am now. There was the aforementioned GF/Infinity Train one, and my gateway into writing TAZ fic was actually a very silly "what if the Pines family were the protags of TAZ Balance" fic.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge, and fingers crossed it doesn't happen 🤞

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Yes, a few times! My buddy @yourbonesarenowmycoat translated several of my Gravity Falls fics into Spanish back in the day, for one thing!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nope!

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

This should come as no surprise but it's Blupjeans forever and ever <3

15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

Oh, god. Probably the one that I wrote like 9 chapters (out of 10 planned ones) to cope with being chronically ill and to convince myself to go to therapy, and then abruptly stopped writing when it was almost done because I figured out how to manage my chronic illness and soon after, started going to therapy. On the one hand, it would be tragic for it to never see the light of day, but on the other hand, it kinda... served its purpose for me already?

16. What are your writing strengths?

Fic as character study! Sometimes I set out with the goal of elucidating a particular theme or character motivation, and sometimes it just happens along the way, but I am a genius with regards to character analysis and my brain is galaxy and I'm not afraid to share it.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Dialogue is one thing for sure, I get a lot of compliments on it but it's also such a challenge for me. Possibly because I, personally, don't talk like a remotely normal human person irl. The other thing is brevity and killing my darlings — I literally can't count the number of times one of my fics exceeded the expected word count by orders of magnitude.

The aforementioned character study thing? Yeah, that's also a weakness, because a lot of my fics (even including some very, very long ones!) exist to explore themes I couldn't figure out how to word in a simple headcanon post. In fact, I'm probably gonna post a fic of that exact variety this weekend, lmao.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Definitely not fluent enough in any language to do it on any larger scale, unless I get serious about learning Spanish again.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

Not on AO3, but in general, it was definitely Pokémon! I was writing time travel stories set in Sinnoh before Legends Arceus made it cool.

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?

As previously mentioned... probably "to eat from a poisoned plate". In the vaguest possible terms, learning to love cooking again in spite of some prior bad experiences has been a struggle for me, too, and I truly think that without having written that fic, I wouldn't be succeeding.

On a related note, I'm about to spend my afternoon making a blueberry pie.

Chili's Top 5 Self Recs:

In Defiance of Time (multichapter, still in progress)

No surprises here in the number one spot is absolutely, hands down, In Defiance of Time and I'm absolutely going to use this as an excuse to gush about it! It's a time travel fic where Ghost panics after they [spoiler] and makes a desperate jump anywhere into the past, landing all the way back at the very beginning of their life before the fall of Hallownest. Through their decisions and continued attempts to run from their problems they kick off a chain of events that land NKG in the role of Tragic Secondary Antagonist and Ghost in the role of Main Antagonist and Final Boss, with Hollow taking Ghost's place as the Main Protagonist after much build up alongside an ensemble protag squad. Writing it has been a lot of fun, especially the challenge of having a story with conflict and fighting and angst and death without having any villains. I love this fic and writing it so far has been one hell of a ride, which I pretty much expected after writing chapter 2 when I figured out both why Ghost went back in time and subsequently what the ending was going to be, and realized that I was not, in fact, writing a comedy, and rewrote chapter 1 accordingly. I stick by the change in direction and themes though, learning how to face your regrets and making the choice to try and become a better person even when you feel as though you're a lost cause and that such efforts would be futile is something that hits right at my heart and in a way it kinda feels like I'm writing a story for the me from a decade ago. For that remorse filled, self-loathing, suicidally depressed, asshole who wanted to be better but had no idea how or if it was even possible that I used to be, to tell them that it's not easy, shitty things and even shittier things are still going to happen and you're going to fall back on awful habits that bring that asshole part of you back to the forefront, but you'll keep trying and you'll keep learning and you'll change, you're not doomed to be like this forever. It's a message I think I'm always going to stand by.

2. Next up is Silly Little Wyrm (multichapter, still in progress)

Set in the past, Silly Little Wyrm follows PK and WL at the time when they first meet and the events leading up to them getting married and PK subsequently becoming king. A slow burn romance between two incredibly sad disaster gods with an ending that's going to be bittersweet. I love this one, I love writing these two dorks since I'm a married dork myself, and I also love angst which this story will definitely have a lot of. I'm also having a lot of fun writing their love story since I always love reading love stories where the two leads spend time in an in between state in a nebulous "idk what we are, we're very close and I love you and we kiss but neither of us are in a state to be in a relationship rn" area and I'm excited for these two to get to that point in the story (one day :'D).

3. To Be The Hollow Knight (one-shot)

This one's a Hollow character study exploring their thoughts and feelings about being The Hollow Knight. I'm definitely really proud of this one and I reread it often ^^

4. Long Will She Reign (one-shot)

Herrah fic! Herrah fic! Herrah fic! This one follows Herrah post-Battle of the Blackwyrm and her late night thoughts and her concerns and anxieties and aaaaaaaah. Love this one, absolutely love this one. I loved crafting Herrah's character for the fic series and I love exploring her as a character with deep anxieties who's fear is often mistaken for and hidden behind a stoic demeanor.

5. Three Taps (one-shot)

Lurien and Soul Master fic set post-Battle of the Blackwyrm. This one follows these two and their different reactions to grief and trauma and how they offer cover for each other so that they can go somewhere where they can better handle that trauma rather than being stuck in public.

okay, now that the whole con is over i will start talking about my saturday visit a bit! some highlights!!

it was so cool to meet alejandro and compliment his persona hat at last and tell him that i was excited for him to be akihiko!!! my pictures w him are so cute im so happy.... he did the silly gun pose :')

my highlight from the con for sure tho was finding other persona cosplayers and roping them into taking pics with me. i have some of me (joker), a fox cosplayer and a skull cosplayer that are really good and i'll treasure it forever, its THE BOYS........... i also met several other joker cosplayers, lots of p3 protags, a crow and a haru, and a couple of rlly cute jack frost and black frost cosplayers! i also kinda yelled at a yosuke cosplayer about how cool they were and i think i scared them... if ur out there yosuke im sorry

a lot of other stuff happened but these things really stick out to me! i had so much fun and definitely am going back next year, and im probably gonna also attend the anime con in portland this year! >:D

finally im so glad my friend and bf pushed through to be alive for like 18 hours straight just so i could make the most out of the day jafkdjkj so props to them!

So like, I got an illustration gig with an author that wanted someone to draw the characters for his YA action and adventure novel.

He sent me the character briefs, with descriptions and such, and... Huh. How do I put it.

One of the characters, as I understood, has his life changed forever when he meets the protag (who is a boy his age), and feels an "intense need to be around him".

I reas that and jokingky said "I ship it" before going to the next character. And this is when I go full "???? 🏳️‍🌈🤨???????" because it said there that the character was super excited to meet the protag because he met "another black nerd his age - and a cute one two" and I'm just???? Hello????

Now I really want to ask the author if this book is queer or if it's just my gay mind grasping at straws. But the job posting mentioned only that they wanted someone who could draw characters of various races, and I'm scared that he might take it the wrong way and cancel my contract. So guess I'll just suffer in silence.

Narrator:

Eko returned from walking Iniko and Ilori to school and looked to the mountain beside their home. It’s peaks not yet lit by the rising sun as he stepped into the kitchen.

Packing up the day’s lunches and making sure to leave a note with the bento for his father, Eko set out for the top of the mountain where he knew Okena was waiting.

Atop the mountain where they always met Okena was seated at the very peak; gnawing her way through a strand of grass; as Meteor pruned her hair. Eko slowed, quietly moving forward, he edged ever closer till Okena’s own deep breath sent the bird away.

Okena:

You’re still too loud. I heard you leave the house this morning.

Eko:

And for a normal person?

Narrator:

There was a moment where Okena plucked the grass from her mouth and examined it with relish.

Okena:

Quiet as a breeze.

Now, why haven’t you begun your workout?

Eko:

I was waiting for you.

Okena:

Eko, you’re a protag, you’re not supposed to wait for me.

Eko:

I know,

But I will.

Narrator:

With that Okena stood and walking to Eko gestured impatiently at the top of the mountain.

With a nod he stepped forward, bringing a swift kick across it. A moment later a crack radiated from where he struck. Eko kicked again and picked up the now dislodged earthen mound.

Okena yawned as she waved away the dirt he’d stirred up.

Eko:

One, two, three, four.

Okena:

Bend your knees.

Narrator:

She stretched an arm forward pulling down on the mountain top. Then following it up with his next lift, and the next till she was satisfied.

Okena:

Good. I expect your best. We’ll work on pointless yelling after lunch.

Eko:

Cool, 22, 23.

Narrator:

And thuss their day passed in it’s usual counting and conversation.

Okena:

How many sets have you done?

Eko:

Seven.

Okena:

Well that’s enough. Take a break.

Narrator:

Eko obliged, setting his mountain down and stretching. Okena had resumed her seat as had the bird nesting in her hair, it had returned once the dust settled and now cheeped expectantly. Okena retrieved a handful of seeds from one of the many pouches on her belt.

Okena:

I know, I know, you first.

Narrator:

She extended the seed filled hand as Eko came to sit by her rock. Pulling from his backpack two box lunches and unwrapping the first. As it’s aroma wafted to Okena’s nose her tummy grumbled.

Okena:

Shut up.

Eko:

Here, I made one for you.

Narrator:

Okena accepted the lunch, bringing her arm down and prompting Meteor to follow. Meteor cheeped in interest at the lunch as it was unpacked and shared between the two of them.

Eko

Iniko requested macaroni for dinner tonight. I know that’s your favorite.

Okena:

You know you’re supposed to be a protag. You’re supposed to focus on training, not cooking.

Eko:

I know, the work just doesn’t suit me.

I mean why am I shouting?

Okena:

It’s exciting.

Eko:

For who? I mean it’s just really loud.

Okena:

You won’t be able to skate by as an amature forever.

Eko:

I know.

Okena:

Someone is going to recognize your talent sooner or later.

Eko:

I know.

Okena:

So tell me why you keep auditioning for BL and Shoujo roles?

You’re a shonen protag.

Eko:

I know. It just doesn’t feel like me.

Okena:

You think I care how you feel. How do you think I felt playing the tsundere; or even my role as Mokena in Life of the Summoned. No, I would have been perfect as the stoic general, or the steadfast warrior. Instead I’m cast as a loli.

Narrator:

Meteor’s chirps of anger at Eko’s lethargic behavior turned to Cheeps of concern and encouragement on Okena. Eko himself patted her shoulder.

Eko:

I’m sorry Okena, I know you work really hard to help me. I’ll get back to my reps now. YOu and Meteor can split my oatmeal cookie.

Narrator:

And he did just that as the sniffly Okena split his oatmeal cookie with Meteor.
