deputy sheriff!higuruma who is a family friend of the gojo’s, and someone who you’ve gotten to grow up with. he’s always held a protective nature around you, and his chosen profession only escalates this.

deputy sheriff!higuruma spends most nights after his shift at the town saloon, a regular of barkeep!toji. he takes his whiskey neat, finding a strange warmth and comfort in the bite of the liquor. his presence aslo acts as a deterrent from any mischief occuring in the bar, as deputy sheriff!higuruma takes no issue with throwing the rowdier guests in jail for the night.

after a particularly rough shift, deputy sheriff!higuruma looks to you for a sense of comfort. and you already have a treat baked fresh just for him to indulge in. the two of you watch the stars together that night, sipping sangria and reminiscing on childhood memories. 

deputy sheriff!higuruma knows his fate is sealed when he watches how the gentle summer breeze sweeps your hair into your face. sweet like the molasses you’ve made him countless times, you throw your head back laughing about one of your favorite memories. 

deputy sheriff!higuruma who’s hired by your parents to keep an extra eye on you after a particularly rough stint with a group of outlaws known as “The Curses”. they’d been wreaking havoc on town locals, and your parents requested his services knowing he shared the same protective air over you.

deputy sheriff!higuruma who peers in on you and cowboy!nanami, hot and heavy in the barn. he watches quietly as you take the blond man into you, with your head thrown back in pleasure. you catch those brown eyes watching you ever briefly, but deputy sheriff!higuruma makes a swift exit once he’s been spotted.

and deputy sheriff!higuruma can’t help but wonder if you’d give him the chance to be yours one day. wondering if he had fumbled you in his hands, he chastises himself for not kissing you the first night he fell for you. 

deputy sheriff!higuruma lays in bed contemplating the what-ifs of the relationship dynamic between the two of you. was he too subtle in his wants? his mind races, replaying that blissful look on your face in the barn. it’s then that deputy sheriff!higuruma notices his hand has slipped to palm himself, half hard from the thought of him being the cause of your pleasure instead.

Bass Reeves (1838 –1910) was a runaway slave, gunfighter, farmer, scout, tracker, and deputy U.S. Marshal. He spoke several languages including Cherokee and Creek. Bass was one of the first African-American deputy U.S. Marshals west of the Mississippi River mostly working in the rough Indian Territory. The region was saturated with horse thieves, cattle rustlers, gunslingers, bandits, swindlers, and murderers. Bass made more than 3,000 arrests in his lifetime, only killing fourteen men in the line of duty.

Bass was born into slavery in Crawford County, Arkansas. His family were slaves belonging to Arkansas state legislator William Steele Reeves. During the American Civil War, his owners fought for the Confederacy. At some point, Bass escaped and fled to Indian country where he learned American Indian languages, customs, and tracking skills. He eventually became a farmer. By 1875, Bass was hired as a deputy U.S. Marshal along with 200 other individuals. He was 37 years old. Bass was well acquainted with the Indian territory and served on their land for over 32 years as a peace officer covering over 75,000 square miles, presently known as Oklahoma.

Bass encountered some of the most ruthless outlaws of his day. His weapons of choice were the Winchester Models 1873 and 1892. They were guns that conveniently fit dual-purpose handgun/rifle cartridges. He also briefly used the Colt 45 peacemaker. He tracked and killed notorious outlaw Jim Webb. Webb murdered over eleven people. Another notorious desperado Bass encountered was murderer and horse thief Wiley Bear. Bass rounded him up along with his gang which included John Simmons and Sam Lasly. Bass was also in a gunfight with the Creek desperado Frank Buck whom he shot and killed.

Bass was immortalized in the popular media including TV shows, films, novels, poems, and books. He was also inducted into the Texas Trail of Fame. A bronze statue of Reeves was erected in Pendergraft Park in Fort Smith, Arkansas and the Bass Reeves Memorial Bridge in Oklahoma, was named after the legendary lawman.

Bass Reeves is held by many to be the original Lone Ranger. He worked for 32 years as a federal peace officer in the Indian Territory, and became one of Judge Parker's most valued deputies. Reeves brought in some of the most dangerous criminals of the time, but was never wounded, despite having his hat and belt shot off on separate occasions.

Cowboy sheriff!Jason Todd (and the outlaws):

* Jason is sheriff and everyone loves him but the reader.

* Reader thinks he’s a sloppy, careless, drunk who only flashes the badge to get what he wants

*he frequents the saloon the reader bartends at and the second they see that red bandana stumble through the swinging doors they know their night is going to get worse

* he always winds up the crowd which always ends in a bar fight which he conveniently leaves before it gets really bad

* his little posse also irks the reader A LOT

*roy is Sheriff Todd’s right hand man and deputy which meant he also had a badge of sorts

* and the woman her name was Kori she didn’t talk much but every once in a while the reader would catch her tussling with some drunk that made a remark. Breaking a table, putting a hole through the wall or causing any other damage in the process

* Anytime a real crime or disturbance was happening the sheriff would take care of it, but in his own special way

* it rubs the reader the wrong way

*every once in a while they run into each other in town. Whether they are leaving the bank or locking up the saloon and he makes a point to say something just to get under their skin

“howdy, nice day we’re havin’”. He says with a mischievous grin as he follows the reader walking side by side at they carry some groceries

“ oh god not today..” they breathe out picking up their pace

“Woah woah woah now hold yer horses I’m not here to give you any trouble sweetheart” he says standing in front of the reader with a shit eating grin plastered on his face

“ what do you want.” They say flatly

They sigh with an eye roll.

“What do you want, Sheriff”

“You roll em any harder, doll they’ll fall right out” he says with a smirk

“Cmere lemme help you with that” he says taking the bag helping you carry it home. Yeah the sheriff could be an immature asshole but he could also be a gentleman

* when the reader isn’t working at the saloon they make food for the men that work in the mines all day.

*sheriff and his cronies take advantage of that and try to get free food

Veronica strikes a deal with Heather Chandler to help her hunt down the sheriff in order to avoid being killed

chansaw spends the entire time threatening each other as thinly failed attempts at flirting

They slowly start to pine for each other more and more until finally Duke and Mac (who are in this au believe it or not I just haven’t drawn them yet) force them to sort out their weird sexual tension

saw some western aus and wanted to throw my proverbial hat in the ring. well. toss it gently. place it down on the edge-

actually no fuck that, slamming down the hat i have Thoughts:

first off, if anything this au should be the silliest looney toons bullshit.

~ of all the revolvers are unloaded. so gunfights are just people saying "bang" at each other and then throwing the nearest thing at their opponent in place of a bullet

~ Wally is the town sheriff, and he's hilariously incompetent. he also has a habit of shoplifting apples from Howdy's saloon / general store fusion. his cowboy hat has a card with an apple on it tucked in the band, but he doesn't wear it, so at nearly all times one of his hands is occupied with holding the hat. also he doesn't wear his badge ever

~ Barnaby is the town deputy, and he's marginally more competent than Wally. however, he doesn't take his job seriously and is usually napping in his chair on the sheriff office porch. sometimes he wears Wally's badge along with his own for funsies

~ also when Howdy catches Wally stealing, he'll call Barnaby over. Barnaby will proceed to arrest and lock up Wally in his own jail until Barnaby feels too bad for leaving him in there and lets him out

~ there is only one horse in town, and its Eddie's so that he can do his delivery runs and get mail from the town over - he has a lil wagon too. Sally has a running gag where she tries to steal the horse, but it completely ignores her and won't budge an inch.

~ on that note, Wally has one of those stick horses. when he needs to chase someone down, he hops on it and Barnaby lifts him by the scruff and runs, gently shaking him up and down to simulate natural horse riding movements. somehow it always works. no one can escape this tactical move

~ the only role i can see for Sally is overly-theatrical outlaw, just as incompetent as Wally. she never succeeds in stealing anything but also never gets caught because, again, Wally is terrible at his job. everyone usually comes outside to watch their wacky "fights" and do nothing about it, including Barnaby. also Julie helps her sometimes

~ Julie i think would be the town banker. she's unusually strict about it and can get kind of scary about technicalities. however the town doesn't really use currency, so they have a point system that they keep careful track of. it would be stickers, but those dont exist. actually fuck that these are puppets, stickers exist and the board is like the gold stars in that one spongebob episode

~ Frank is an entomologist that decided to brave the untamed west to see what new bugs he might discover. what he discovered was dust, scorpions, and an inability to leave the town due to no monies anywhere. he finds entertainment in keeping track of the local ant colonies' wars & affairs, and also complaining at Howdy at the bar

~ everyone complains to Howdy. he has someone at his bar at any given time and he's taken to being incredibly passive aggressive about it. they still have to pay with jokes or favors or whatever they can think of that he'll accept

~ Poppy runs the hotel, where pretty much everyone lives. Julie lives there, Frank lives there, Sally lives there, Wally lives there. Barnaby prefers to sleep in the sheriffs office, as he doesn't want to make the "across the street" commute. Howdy also stays in his saloon/store, and Eddie sleeps in his post office - as canon intended.

~ Home is the mayor. don't ask me if he's a person, an object head, or just a building - i do not know. he's probably still a building. no one can understand what he says

~ oh also Frank is incredibly pressed over the fact that the town's lawfolk suck at their job. he swears he has an aneurysm every time Wally chases Sally down the street on a stick horse, or when blatant crime is happening right in front of a very asleep Barnaby. he is tempted to take over as sheriff, but alas, there are scorpions to be stung by
