Finished the Crown and woah!!!!
While towards the end, i felt the essence of the show dipped, but i certainly liked a few parts.
The way they indicated/covered the Queen's death given how the Queen is no more. The episode with Princess Maraget's death and the final one where Prince Philip finally voices out how the whole institution of Monarchy is a decayed absurd dead concept.
And damn the whole Prince William and Kate Middleton story looked so weird. I don't think I saw any romance there. If it was romance then as a review rightfully said, it looked like a weird romcom. A flop movie. It was just so weird. Was that really their story?
Also what was weird was the not so subtle indications of Prince Harry's leaving. The very clear digs on him. Choosing to show only his controversies was clearly the choice of a royalist like Morgan
It was indeed a delight seeing Olivia Coleman and Claire Foy on the Crown's screen again.🥹
My favorite Queen would definitely be Claire Foy's Queen.
Will probably write more if i have any more thoughts.

The Erik Revelation ™
It's a stroke of genius, having us find out about Erik's homophobic, bullying activities at Hillerska at the same time as Wille does. The collective vision of Supportive Erik has been ground to dust for the fandom alongside it happening for Wille. It's a small taste of what it feels like for him.
The entirety of s3 e5 is Wille working through the shock of Erik being part of the fakeness of everything. His last shining beacon of truth, the one good thing about his family, the only reason to keep being part of it.
"My brother was kind and considerate.
He was my role model.
And I will honour his legacy to be a Crown Prince my family will be proud of."
shattered by:
"Erik was there".

ANNOUNCING: CALROY! (in the real) (not clickbait)
I know tumblr wasn’t QUITE as involved in the ‘raising funds for the calroy mini’ collective as twitter was, but I thought you guys might appreciate knowing about this update anyway :)
TLDR; On June 21st, 2022, Dimension 20 announced an auction for the minis used in their A Crown of Candy season. Almost immediately, a group of friends who loved ACOC, and Calroy specifically, began talking about the viability of getting Calroy's mini.
We opened commissions and began raising funds, appealing to the kindness of the Dimension 20 fan community: Help this group of people who care about Calroy bring him home, and help us send him on the world tour he deserves.
The Collective raised just over $11,000, but it wasn't enough to beat Calroy's final selling price of a whopping $11,200! Despite that, the Collective was happy about the solidarity shown by the fandom.
Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of the Calroy fund donors who agreed to put the money toward charity in case we didn't win the auction, we were able to donate an astounding $8,580 to 5 different mutual aid funds after refunds and PayPal fees!
And that was the end of it... Until the Collective received a message from Dropout in early August.
Dimension 20 congratulated the Collective on their efforts and their donation to charity.... and offered a surprise gift: a second Calroy mini, made specially by Rick Perry! 8 months later and after getting lost in the mail TWICE, that 2nd custom Calroy mini has now arrived safe and sound.
Anyway! You can find more information about it on the carrd here and on the Twitter account where he’ll be posting updates. I was so excited to share this with you guys but we had to be so patient... hope the wait was worth it!
