I was talking with my housemate about how to be more physically active if you’re not used to it at all because everywhere you’re told to start a training routine where you push yourself a little every day, and while that may seem easy for some people it can be really fucking daunting if you start from zero.
As someone who comes from a very physically active family that doesn’t exercise just for the sake of exercising but do things like walk to the grocery store and bike to work, here’s my advice that has always worked for me:
Go super duper easy on yourself.
If you want to walk more start by walking for 3 or 5 minutes. The shortest possible walk you feel you’re capable of. A trip around the block or across the yard. You don’t need to sweat or get your blood pumping. Just a short stroll. The hardest part is to convince yourself to set aside 5 minutes every day to go on this short walk but nothing else about it should be hard. Do it every day and one day you’ll realize that you don’t want to go home just yet. It’s very important that you don’t think “I want to pressure myself to walk further” but rather “I haven’t spent all my walking energy yet. I have more walk in me” and only then do you lengthen the walk. I repeat, at no point should it be exhausting or difficult because even when it feels easy your body will be building muscle and stamina and it will eventually feel too easy and you’ll naturally want to crank it back up to easy again.
If you’re not used to being physically active it might not make a ton of sense when I say that you’ll have more walking energy left but trust me, you’ll get it when you get there.
I grew up with going on evening walks with my parents and passed that on to other housemates who didn’t get it at first but are now going on walks long after they moved somewhere else. Because once you get the hang of it you’ll realize how calming it is on the brain to move the body even if the body isn’t exhausted afterwards.
And it of course helps to entertain yourself especially in the beginning. My housemate started out listening to audiobooks and podcasts but eventually realized Pokémon Go was the best motivator. Whatever you feel like you want to do on your 5 minute easy stroll.

It was a warm summer evening as you were changing again and again into different clothes. You liked summer, when it was warm, and you could get away with drinking nothing but cool water and fizzy drinks. Well, that’s what you told everyone, but the truth was you liked getting to watch your husband work on his bike or clean the yard with nothing but his shorts on.
The expanse of his skin stretching over taunt muscles, sweat glistening as he worked hard, and those rare moments where he was off for more than a day so you could lounge outside together as he kept up his workout…’training’ he said. But you both know he just liked giving you a show.
Today was different, you and Leon were going out with friends. To celebrate some charity thing Claire had set up, an excuse just for you to all see each other again. But with it being summer, none of your regular evening wear would work, all of it making you too warm and stuffy. Which meant you’d wear your less covering stuff, which mean more skin showing, which meant your stretchmarks were on show.
You took a deep breath, trying to stay calm as you looked yourself over in the mirror. This dress was too tight and too short, the stretch marks on your thighs and back of your knees could be seen. Bottom lip worried between your teeth as you pulled it down, it didn’t budge, and tears welled in your eyes. You take this one off too, maybe it’s not a dress night you reason. Maybe it’s just some nice pant and a blouse night. So, you tried that instead, but the shirts showed off the stretchmarks across your hips.
After spending a few more minutes trying to find something…anything to wear, you sit on the edge of the bed. Your hand rubbed at your eyes, and you sighed. But you hadn’t realised the time, hadn’t even noticed that Leon had already opened the door to your shared room, that he was watching with sad eyes as you picked at your skin. His gaze following down your body with a frown as he realised it was one of those days.
He moved silently across the floor, dropping to his knees in front of your with a soft ‘thump’. “Well, hello there, princess” his hands moved onto your leg, gliding across the soft skin there. Your head looked up, a tremble on your bottom lip. Your eyes followed his hands and you felt gross as his fingers smoothed over the stretchmarks there.
Leon’s eyes caught the way yours followed his hands, and he realised with a furrowed brow what it was that was bothering you. ‘Can’t have that’, he thought ‘going to have to do something about it’. And his mind flashed with an idea, he pressed a gentle kiss to your lips before standing up with a stretch. “You mind helping me choose what to wear, pretty girl? You always manage to know what looks best” his plan of distracting you worked as you smiled up at him, pretending you weren’t reassessing every inch of your body just moments before.
“‘Course I can! Not like you can dress yourself anyway.” There’s his wife, he thinks, just a glimpse as she teases him. He shakes his head as he undresses out of his work suit. You’ve moved behind him, your hands helping him take off the jacket and then his shirt, your eyes wander down his back and arms. This time your lip was between your teeth, but not the same as earlier.
You couldn’t help but look at the muscle he’d gained during his training, your hands gliding down his arms and over scars as you took his shirt off before your hands settled at his waist. Eyes gazing over the stretch marks formed from the years of exercise and muscle building, your fingers delicately tracing them. And Leon smirked, not that you could see as he decided to put his plan in to action, a deep sigh leaving him.
He knew that your brow was furrowed, and the corners of your lips would be pulled down, as he moved your hands from where his stretch marks were at his hips, moving them to sit farther up his chest instead. The sound of an offended gasp left your mouth, and he bit his lip as he tried to stop the smirk growing into a grin. You pulled your hands back down to where they were, and he pulled them back up. It was like a game for a few minutes, and then he heard you grumble. “Excuse you, leave my hands alone”.
Leon shook his head, scratching at the back of his neck and moving your hands again “not today, baby, please” his voice had an uncomfortable tinge to it, making you freeze, and you leant against him. Your face leaning on his back as you moved your hands up before pressing a kiss between his shoulder blades.
Concern lit up in your brain, and your thumb moved in soothing circles “are you okay? What’s wrong” Leon could almost feel bad for his deception right now…key word being almost. But he sighed in response to your question, shrugging his shoulders as he went through his shirts in the closet. Your arms tightening around him, pulling him further into your front “my love”.
The blonde took a deep breath and turned his head to look at you. His eyes held tears as his bottom lip trembled, and he saw your heart break through you eyes. Definitely thought the tears were real then, guess the training was working. Your hand moved to cup his cheek, thumb running under his eyes “no no no, baby what’s wrong? Tell me”
He turned completely to you, his own hands moving to settle on your waist as his head buried into your neck. Mainly so he could hide the fact he couldn’t keep the false tears up. Another shaky breath, you felt what you thought was trembling through his shoulders as you rubbed his back “I just-its. I don’t know, don’t you think they’re gross?”
The noise that left your mouth was on he had never heard before, like he had just killed your baby right in front of you. He fights back a smile, pouting and nuzzling his face deeper into your neck instead. “Leon Scott Kennedy-” uh oh “-how dare you say that about yourself, I would fight anyone who would insult you. That includes yourself, you absolute moron.”
And suddenly, he was picking you up while a squeal left your mouth and a small shout of his name. He walked the few steps to your bed, laying you down on it as he hovered above you with his arms caging you in. A loving glint filling his blue eyes, and a dopey smile on his face. “exactly” he whispers.
Everything clicks in to place in your mind, the realisation that your husband just played you seeps in. Your mouth opening in a shocked expression as your eyes widen, and you go to speak but no words come out. Leons’ smile turn in to a smirk as he presses his mouth to yours in a gentle kiss. Then he’s moving down your body, pressing his lips to every inch he can. You whine when he passes your neck, confused as to why he wouldn’t mark his favourite place on you, and he just smooths his hand on your leg.
“S’okay pretty girl, got a different plan today…gonna make my girl feel good, show her how much her stretch marks affect me” you almost feel the blush heating up your body. Leons still making his way down, he removes your shirt, and a small groan leaves him at the sight. The way he looks at you make you want to cover yourself or open your legs. You’re not quite sure. “Fuck, my pretty girl indeed”
Leon presses his lips to your skin, travelling between the valley of your breasts and you’re even more confused when he just passes them too. But the thoughts are soon wiped away when his hands dig into the soft plush of your hips, and his mouth presses into the area of your stretch marks. Your breath hitches, but Leon doesn’t stop. He presses a kiss to each individual mark “You love mine, can’t keep your hands off them. Moment they’re on show your eyes are glued to them, watching me work out, riding me, trapped beneath me. And there you are watching them or tracing them.” He moves across your stomach, his teeth nipping at the soft skin before he’s kissing the marks on the other side.

Y/N could tell this was a sensitive matter for her, and She didnt wanted to make scene in the University entrance.
She huffed, not wasting saliva in what would be a public discussion, Cathleen sitted on the motorbike looking at Y/N without a word, just a cold face that if it spoke it would say "get on, no questions"
Y/N complied sitting and hugging Cathleen for security, but at the same time, that hig was showing her concern. Cathleen revved the bike, who roared back to life, soon they left University grounds and drive towards her parents house.
Cathleen's parents werent at Home, neither her Sister. They went to visit Cathleen's grandparents, Y/N knew that because of Cathleen's rants about wanting to go with them... But She couldnt. She had to sacrifice that in order to be the Best.
The women arrived to the cadet's Home, a large, fancy condo, she got off the bike, and took off her helmet, and then turned to look at you "They went to see our grandparents for the weekend , but don't worry, they know you, they told me you could come In whenever you wanted" - she said in a tired tone, she realized that Y/N didnt deserve her anger, so She took her secret lover's hand, guiding her to the cadet's house, lo later enter to her room.
Cathleen's room was filled With All Might pictures and posters of planes. A photo With little Cathy posing happily in All Might's arms was proudly showed in her nightstand. Y/N sat on the bed, downhearted about what happened before, the blonde hero aspirant closed the door. Taking off her jacket... Y/N gasped, Cathleen was beaten up, purple and red bruises collored her fair skin, she looked at You with a mix of seriousness, whim and... Sadness?
"This is what happens when You want to be the best" - She huffed, agitated "To be like him, i need to be strong" - she was being hard headed... Again
"All Might Isnt strong all the time!" - Y/N said, her voice trembling "Because he's a human! YOU don't have to be strong all the time, because YOU'RE human!!!"
"You don't understand, Y/N" - She said, gruff "How can You be the Best in a world of men, 'taking it easy'?" - She said the last Words in a mocking, sarcastic, yet jealous and hurtfull tone. Then She sighed, She was hurting her beloved. "I... I can't help it... W-when you're surrounded by men that are so strong... So powerful... I... I feel weak... I feel useless..." - Cathleen began to sob and tears of anger started to flow from her eyes, she was feeling pathetic... Weak... She wasn't the hero she wanted to be... Cathleen tought herself as a disgrace that didn't deserve that uniform...
Y/N had enough, jumping from the bed to cup her girlfriend's cheeks "You Are NOT weak! You're one Of the Best fucking students!" - She sighed, then kissed her cheek in comprehension "You're a student for Gods sake! A student can't be a Master if they compare themselves all the time!!! Stop pushing yourself!" - that was the last straw for Y/N to get on her tippy toes and kiss Cathleen on the lips.
The bigger woman gasped and hugged the more petite one as they both kissed softly. Cathleen muscly arms hugged her girlfriend's more smaller frame, it felt like it was thanking Y/N with her body languaje. When the sweet kiss ended, the now smiling cadet cupped her girlfriend' cheek, a gesture She always makes.
"I'm sorry doll.. i don't know what happened to me.. i'll make up to You, just wai-.. - she was interrumpted by Y/N kissing the bandage in Cathleen's cheek. "You Are so selfless, Cathy.. that makes You shine like a Star"
At the end of the day, they ended up cuddling on the couch, eating Cathleen favorite gummies. And She couldnt be happier of having Y/N in her life, her little Star...

I found a helpful article from ADDitude talking about ways to stop catastrophizing.
This excerpt is going to be somewhat long, so I apologize in advance:
3 Ways to Stop Catastrophizing:
To shift toxic worry into something productive, you need to first recognize that you are catastrophizing. This happens when your brain’s amygdala (the fight, flight or freeze) organ in the limbic system-the emotional region) figuratively takes over your thinking brain (your prefrontal cortex) by activating adrenaline and cortisol. Your entire being is focused on obtaining safety and feeling secure. Basically, the part of you that runs from tigers and steps aside from racing cars begins controlling all your responses.
1. Dismantle the “What-Ifs”
To regain control, turn down the volume on your catastrophic thinking by remembering past successes, tools, interventions, and statements you’ve used to overcome perceived dangers. When I’m in a “what-if” spiral, I shift my thinking to “What could go right?”
Follow your “what-ifs” to the end of the line. Ask yourself, “What if this happened? And then what? And what if that happened? And then what?” Keep going until there’s some resolution. Can you live with that resolution?
Try to consider best-case outcomes in addition to worst-case scenarios. What might happen that could be positive? Can I predict any happiness instead of pain?
2. Set Up a Buddy System
Toxic worry intensifies in isolation. So, set up a buddy system with someone you trust who can offer a different perspective. Who could you call or text if you’re in a poisonous worry spiral? Do you have a therapist, coach, or counselor? Whether you are concerned about perfectionism, personal relationships, or sociopolitical injustices, who could be your ally in these dark moments?
3. Create a Plan
Come up with a plan for escaping your next spiral. Make a list of self-soothing actions to take when worry rears its ugly head. Post it somewhere accessible, like on your phone or sticky notes at home. Your plan can include settle-me-down phrases such as “I’m afraid, and I know how to be brave” or “Things work out, keep breathing.” It can also contain a list of activities to slow your reactivity, such as drinking a glass of water, walking outside, cuddling a pet, getting a hug, etc. Here are some more ideas:
Exercise. Daily exercise pumps up your endorphins, which bathe your brain with good feelings. When I wake up feeling “ugh,” a run or bike ride gets me out of my negative headspace.
Create a playlist. Categorize songs into different playlists on your phone, label them “angry songs,” “sad songs,” “happy songs,” “how-to-stop-worrying songs,” etc.
Practice mindfulness to interrupt the pattern of negative thinking. Meditate. Do yoga. Listen to the birds. Drink a cup of tea. Do a crossword puzzle. Play Wordle.
Try triangle breathing. Breathe in for four counts, hold for four counts, and exhale slowly for six counts. Do several rounds of this.

Pancakes Household: Chapter 9, Part 4

Bob: Costume time! Okay friends and fans, it’s time for our Halloween special, who wants to make a pumpkin pie with me?
From beside Bob the droid chirps to indicate that people are tuning in.
Bob: As you can see I have chosen to be a rebel pilot today. I’ll be keeping this on for the bake and my bake sale but something tells me the boss would not approve of me turning up to work in it. Okay let’s run through all our ingredients
The drone chirps while Bob begins preparations. Eliza’s suggestion to get the drone may have stemmed from a place of wanting the flashiest one but Bob appreciated having a set of eyes he could look at when he talked.

Bob: Ugh, kneading, not my favourite part after I’ve already done a workout but hey, that’s on me
He continues to narrate his baking, even getting the drone to read out a question or two that viewers have sent in about the recipe. In the end he pulls one excellent pumpkin pie out of the oven, a perfect Halloween treat.

Bob: Come one, come all to Bob’s Bars! We don’t just have our classic beloved lemon bars today, we have cake and cookies for the sweetness you want on Halloween. If you’re having all that sugar, may as well get full eating it!
The first few customers seem unimpressed with Bob’s selling today but when some new sims walk up to purchase suddenly decide maybe the baking isn’t so bad.

Fergus: Hey Onyx could you- woah! What are you
Onyx: A knight obviously. I see you’re going with the classic skeleton
Fergus: No point fixing what isn’t broke. But could you please help me with my bike? Dad’s busy with the sale and I don’t want to interrupt mother when she’s practicing her speech
Onyx: Sure, I can try. Hop on and I’ll try explain, remember I only just learnt how to ride before my birthday
Fergus: Oh yeah, that’s right
So Fergus wobbles his way around the yard with Onyx doing their best to provide guidance.

Bob: Alright folks, my shift will be starting soon. Who’s going to be customer of the day and buy the last lemon bar?
Harvey: Hello. Do you have bake sales often
Bob: Why yes I do sir
Harvey: How convenient! And do you get positive reviews
Bob: Indeed I do
Harvey: Well then person I’ve never met I would like to buy the last lemon bar
After Bob makes the sale Harvey tells everyone around him how good it is while Bob packs up. It’s good to have friends.

Eliza greets the first trick or treater and offers them some candy. The kid leaves happy and Ginger comes out of the house very confused.
Ginger: *whines* What’s going on
Eliza: Ginger sweetie it’s just me, it’s just mother. Here let me give you a brush
Ginger: *barks* you may not look like mother but you definitely smell the same
Then it’s dinner time for the Pancakes left at home.
Fergus: Dad left us roast! Awesome
Eliza: Onyx will you be able to eat in that helmet

Onyx: I could ask you the same question. But I won’t, because I’m a good kid who deserves a horse
Fergus: *laughs*
The trio chat and eat while Ginger looks on. Sure she has biscuits in her bowl but that looks like real meat on the table. Why won’t they feed her that?

Onyx takes care of the dishes and Fergus decides it’s time for Ginger to learn another trick, playing dead. Mustering his drama skills he does his best to show her what to do, but she remains skeptical of the exercise. Fergus keeps trying though and eventually Ginger catches on, rolling to the floor.
Fergus: You did it! Well done Ginger, we’re stars

*doorbell rings*
Eliza: Onyx could you get that one
Onyx: Sure mother
They open the door to the deck candy all prepared and are greeted by a teen girl dressed as a maid.
Zhafira: Trick or treat
Onyx: Uhh… what
Zhafira: *laughs* I mean for me
Onyx: Oh, right. Have some candy?
Zhafira: Why thank you
Onyx has just decided they should ask what high school the stranger attends when she turns and skips off down the drive.

Carson: I’m dressed as someone who doesn’t care about Halloween
Onyx: Your loss. Hey, have you seen a girl at school?
Carson: There are many girls at school
Onyx: I mean a specific one, she’s a brunette with a bob cut

Carson: People keep aging Onyx, so more teens. But sorry I don’t really find many people cute at our school so haven't noticed
Onyx: You said that last year. But if you know you’re bi you must have been attracted to someone once right
Carson: I mean, it’s going to sound stupid...
Onyx: You’re my best friend, sound as stupid as you like
Carson: I mean I’ll find a guy or girl pretty but my daydreams are usually romance filled instead of woohoo filled
Onyx: Huh. So are you like, anti-kissing
Carson: I don't know, growing up is confusing
