SQOTD: Is cereal soup

First up I think how I'll handle SQOTD is by screenshoting the question and putting it in a post of my own. I like the reblogged answers but I've found I can't like all my friends answers after I've liked one, and feel weird replying to a specific simmer when it'll post the reply to the initial question post. Maybe it's just something my brain has to work on adjusting to. Anyway...

Setting the scene, it's a York family brunch at Aaron and Calista's house. Around a table are Artemisia, Joey, Devin, Aaron and the twin toddlers Alfred and Rilian in their high chairs.

Artemisia: You know cereal is a soup right

Devin: *scoffs* Come on Rilian, eat up

She holds the spoonful of cereal to her son's mouth but the boy shakes his head.

Artemisia: Clearly the thought is too big for your small mind

Alfred: *eating his cereal* So...sou... soup?

Artemisia: Glad you asked

Aaron: He didn't ask

Artemisia: What is soup really but a bowl of food we eat with a spoon

Aaron: With that definition ice cream would be soup and it isn't

Artemisia: It is when it melts

Devin: Come on piccolo mio, just a little more

Rilian: No! Bad poison

Artemisia laughs, earning her scathing looks from Aaron and Devin.

Devin: Fine. Joey, what is soup?

Joey: *looks up from phone* huh? Sorry I was testing

Devin: What makes soup soup resident genius

Joey: *smiles* I know this. A liquid food using meat, fish or vegetable stock as a base that usually has bits of solid food in it. Why?

Devin: See Emisia, cereal doesn't have stock, just milk. Come on Rilian, open up

Artemisia: But I think-

At that point Rilian has had enough of Devin's coaxing and pushes his bowl off the high chair, causing the cereal to splash over Artemisia's tights.

Artemisia: Ugh! Now i'm covered in gross

Aaron: But you didn't say covered in soup now did you

A set of 20 questions to get to know your oc! I was tagged by @matchalovertrait and a couple of other people I forgot to write down because life can be hectic but here we are! Missing my lads so answering for both Samir and Reece.

CW: If you haven't met these two yet... they are very woohoo positive so their answers will have a dash of spice

What uncommon/common fear do they have?

Samir: Fear of loss. His parents were killed, he still doesn't know why, so he is afraid of loss Reece: He has off the chart confidence in most things. I think if he had to have a fear it would be that Samir will get killed by whoever killed his parents

Do they have any pet peeves?

Samir: When people belittle Reece's intelligence because he talks on the fly, or when people try to engage him in small talk Reece: When people crack their knuckles, creepy

What are 3 items you can find in their bedroom?

Well they share a room so better split it by sides of the room. Samir: The photobooth photo from their time skipping prom together, lube, violin case Reece: Handcuffs (because sometimes Samir likes Reece to cuff himself, enough said), journal, textbook

What do they notice first in a person?

Samir: Their emotional state Reece: How tidy they may or may not be

On a scale of 1 to 10, how high is their pain tolerance?

Samir: Probably around a 9, he doesn't really feel much physical pain anymore unless it's serious Reece: It would have been around 5 but time with Samir has... increased his pain tolerance

Do they go into fight or flight mode when under pressure?

Both: Fight

Do they come from a big family/are they a family person?

Samir: Dead parents, adoptive mother, step-father (look, I remembered!) and brother. Would like a kid once it's safe from whoever killed his parents Reece: Alive parents, three siblings and 2 in laws. He would love his own big family judging from how often he gets the baby thought bubble

What animal represents them best?

Samir: Wolf. Not a fan of groups, loves the woods, will protect loved ones Reece: Golden retriever! Smart, loyal, good boy

Going to *shudders* imagine if Samir and Reece were to be dumped by each other.

If Reece were to leave, Samir would probably shut down. He would spiral into anxiety and depression for sure. Probably spend his time roaming the tunnels looking for something to fight and take way too many risks.

Reece would be exceedingly stubborn if Samir tried to break up with him. I'm talking he'd probably camp outside their house if he were kicked out, and if Samir left he would spend his time roaming the woods looking for him.

I don't know if either of them would get over it, and they certainly wouldn't handle it in healthy ways.

First of all I must thank @pralinesims for making the most wonderful make up cc! I don't understand make up in real life but Evan has such an incredible range, all my female sims get knitted out in eyeshadow, eyeliner and lipstick from them! Even some of my males get lashes from them. I also use their jewellery all the time, and have Evan to thank for Devin being able to wear her sunglasses all the bloody time.

I also use cc freckles a lot! I have that, I think it's an MCCC setting that allows skin details to be passed on genetics wise? I have some from all over but checking it looks like a fair chunk are still by @pralinesims.

Hair wise I don't have a specific hair that I use lots because I try and give my sims different hairs. The bulk in my collection are made up by hairs from @greenllamas, @imvikai, @johnnysimmer. My aliens are allowed alpha hair so they get styles from @sonyasimscc.

Clothes, again I have certain creators I have tons of pieces from but prefer to have my sims in different clothes so no particular piece is used tons, at least not that I've noticed.

Fergus nods excitedly and the dinner party disperses.

Happy very cloudy Halloween! The Pancakes decide not to have a party since they had one last night and Bob will need to work tonight. After a quick breakfast the household splits up as everyone has their own tasks to do this morning.

Bob of course wants to get his work out in before shift. Fergus is in a patch of hyper focus with his ADHD and decides to play mad scientist in the treehouse. Eliza decides to do a dance workout since she cleaned everything yesterday and finally Onyx is set to walk Ginger again.

Eliza is dancing away when she pulls a muscle in her back.

Eliza: Ouch! Oh, maybe an adoption is a good idea, I will be a 40 soon

Thinking on this she carries on, working on her other muscles. Outside it’s hard for Onyx and Ginger to make out where they’re running but the pair do their best. Ginger isn’t sure why her dad isn’t taking her for these jogs but supposes Onyx is an alright substitute.

Onyx: I’m back home dad, Ginger is all walked

Bob: *grunts with effort* Did you tell your mother

Onyx: No, she’s busy practicing speech and I didn’t want to disturb her

Bob: Smart choice

Onyx begins their cheer routine, they still have some more solo practice to fit in. All is going well until they fall over on their face. They push up looking around but Bob is busy working his legs and hasn’t noticed. To celebrate Onyx pulls off a perfect flip!
