I know youre respectably ignoring Hazbin rn to stay focused on GF, just had to say I read a radiostatic fic of yours from 2020 (microphone shenanigans) without even realizing it was you (was hoping through bookmarks) until I went to the comments and saw you replying and having called the ship a rarepair. Which is wild for me as someone who became a fan once the show was out. From what I've heard/seen about the show so far, it sounds like they went the EXACT way I was hoping they would with Vox & Al's dynamic: Vox is obsessed with Alastor and desperate to prove his superiority, while Alastor detests Vox and realizes that the best way for him to prove his superiority is by acting like Vox is beneath his notice.

I wouldn't say I have a favourite ship... well there're times that I would invest more in a specific pairing, but that doesn't mean I like other ships any less. I have 5 drafts for Jasico and then I have a Nicobaster week and then a Percico-marathon. Generally speaking though, I would say I usually... prioritize (?) the rarepairs. Since you know, the canon one and the more popular ones alr have people building the empire for them. I might be the only one invested in a Son of Persephone with Nico, for example, so I tend to gravitate towards it, in hopes of contributing a small brick for this little tent compared to their nation; or sometimes it's just because there's someone else more invested in me and their dedication fuels me (yes you @drksanctuary).

Anw I hope this gives you an insight into how wild of a being I am LMAO. I'm a proshipper. I have no qualms when it comes to enjoying fiction - as long as I enjoy it. Be free. Trust me.

HELLO!! first off, sorry for such a late response; i've been out of town for a few weeks. i really appreciate you reaching out though, as i love discussing ship stuff!!

honestly it started just because i have a problem with constantly shipping ayaka with various fatui LMFAO (stares at my scarayaka and lyneyaka art nervously) but i do think they could have a very fun dynamic! tartaglia is a very Respects Strong Women kind of guy and ayaka would be no exception, albeit her combat experience pales in comparison to those whose main line of work is in fighting. i feel like the obvious idea would be them meeting for diplomatic purposes, but i also think it would be fun if they just kinda met each other out in the wild, whether they know about each other's respective roles and titles at first or not. i think they'd equally spoil each other. ayaka is big on gift giving and would definitely express her affection through those sort of hints at first. i also have had thoughts about their respective thoughts on family? ayaka and ayato being the remaining members of their clan obviously makes them very close and worrisome about one another, and childe's sort of sheltering of his siblings might remind her of how ayato had been with her for a while. crying and sobbing thinking of ayaka pulling out her long since stored away childhood temari to teach teucer how to play, introducing his little siblings to various inazuman games and events like festivals. also, i enjoy the contrast between ayaka's more cautious and closed-off approach to live vs childe's seemingly impulsive nature. he'd be a bad influence on her in a fun way lmao

there's also obviously the angst potential. c'mon. harbinger and a government official/practically princess from two countries with rocky relations? childe is totally ayaka's 'sneak away at night, steal kisses in chinju forest away from their respective duties' bf. they'd be the types to fall for each other but barely see each other, as ayaka remains pretty stationary in her work for the yashiro commission and childe is always traveller for one mission or another.

these are all TOTALLY VAGUE and as you can tell i haven't actually ever hashed this stuff out, but i'd love love love to hear your own thoughts on them!! it's always so nice to see anyone who shares any of my rarepairs :"")

Rosaly: Finds Hector, gives him a place to be after he flees from Dracula and helps him heal; Julia: Helps Hector heal from the pain of losing Rosaly and helps him move on; Lenore: Beats him and rapes him. And yet, thanks to Netflixvania simply being more popular than CoD, Lenector is his biggest straight ship (I honestly don't know how any of his non-straight ones compare to it) to the point where I'm not even sure he has ship names with Rosaly and Julia

Hectaly is a tag. I checked it, and aside from my posts (lol), there are some posts made by people who were sure that Rosaly would appear in S4. oh those sweet summer children.

Helia doesn't exist, because no one ships them 😂 I wish I could, because I like their chemistry and the potential scenario of them bonding through their grief... but the circumstances of Julia looking like Rosaly and also being Isaac's sister and Hector wanting to kill Isaac in cold blood and indirectly causing his death are too uncomfortable for them to have a healthy relationship. Man :( I just want them to be besties. I love imagining Julia teasing Hector Isaac-style lol

(as for the non-straight ships, the two versions of Isaactor are by far the most popular ones, even more so than Lenector. Then there's N!Hectorcard. Hectorcard is mildly popular in Japan, from what I've seen. The others count as rarepairs :P)

Anyway. I have just finished writing to my friends a breakdown to explain why their sex scene is actually vile rape on Lenore's part (I can share if people are interested! I don't want to come off as obsessed lmao). It just... boggles my mind that shippers gloss over it, because they happen to have decent chemistry and parallels in S4. Y'all really think the writers did them dirty because they didn't live happily ever after????? the absolute fuck??????????????? WHY DO YOU THINK A RAPE VICTIM SHOULD HAVE LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER WITH HIS RAPIST Y'ALL SOUND LIKE THE PEOPLE WHO OPPOSED FRANCA VIOLA

It makes me sick. This is not hyperbole. I don't want to judge shippers because hey, whatever, you can't judge morality based on ships, but jesus christ I have not met a single Lenore fan/Lenector shipper that didn't try to bridge the contrast between S3 and S4 with some of the most nauseating rape apologism I've seen in the wild. I have more respect for those who say "idc lenore is hot", at least it's honest in its shallowness.

And then my poor girl Rosaly, who represents the best of humanity, who gave Hector hope and a reason to live on after his traumatic past, who appreciated my man for being kind and helpful and not just because he's handsome (although also because of that lol girl has great taste), is relegated to "that killed chick" that Hector gets over in a few days, because only five people read the CoD prequels. Life is so cruel.

hello, hope you’ve been well! i reread getaway car about two or three years after my first read and i keep noticing all these little details that i don’t recall catching the first time and it’s just such a fantastic fic!! i love cynthia and diantha so much!! i adore how you wrote up their rocky beginning and how they resolved it, it makes their trust in the later chapters feel so much more intimate <3

this was just a fast question that i had when i was reading (noticed during my diantha rarepair phase), but i think in chapter 4 diantha mentions having slept with someone in her league before. if it’s alright with you, may i ask who it is? i’ve kinda got my fingers crossed on malva, i think it would make the comments of malva complaining to flint about diantha so silly HAHAHAHA

i pretty much ship Malva/Diantha exclusively as exes.  usually amicable, sometimes a little less than depending on the story i'm working on. One of these days i’ll hopefully write something where they’re actually happy together lol 

And heck.  You know what? i'll preface this with "this is all subject to change" seeing as i could change my mind about pacing and whatnot as i actually close in on fishing up the fic, but how about a preview of the section where i do answer this

Leaning over, she said more quietly, “I’m gonna go make sure my team is ready for a battle,” she said.

“I’ll be cheering from the sidelines, darling,” Diantha said, kissing the top of her hand before letting go.  

Slipping away into the stairwell that would take her down to the main floor, when the door took too long to close behind her, she hesitated.  

“Got a minute, Sinnoh?”

Malva.

“Sure,” she said, waiting on the lower tier of stairs.  

She stopped at the bottom step, leaving them at equal eye level.  “You know– she wasn’t kidding when she said that was just a preview of things to come.  That?  That was weak and tame.  Imagine that, but with cameras, and mics, loud bright flashes, and questions of varying levels of intrusive being yelled in your face– are you sure you’re up for that?”

Certainly not what she had expected –then again, she wasn’t entirely sure what she was expecting from her in the first place.

“I only got flustered because it was coming from people I know,” she said, trying to be careful about her approach.  She didn't have to know Malva to sense she was someone to tread lightly around.  Especially considering her media background.

She hummed, not convinced.  “Are you ready for all of your own accomplishments to not matter because, in the public’s eye, you’re literally nothing more than ‘Diantha’s Girlfriend’? If you even get that luxury? If the public just insists that you’re just her “best friend”?  Are you ready to not be able to be out in public without someone running up to you both?  Are you prepared for all the wild accusations that will come from people? Are you prepared to mentally, and probably even physically, defend yourself from all the wack-jobs who think they’re her soulmate or some shit? Are you prepared for the fact that she has multiple stalkers?  Dudes who are so out of their mind with their obsession with her that they’ll literally break into her apartment just to sleep in her bed?”

The last one about made her sick –a story Diantha had told her about.  

“What’s with the interrogation?” Cynthia instead asked, side-stepping all the terrors.

Malva stepped down, getting as up in her face as she could.  “Because if you even put her through half the shit I know Mel put her through– I will put you six feet under so fucking fast, nobody will be any the wiser.”

For someone who specialized in fire type pokemon, her delivery was nothing short of ice cold.  Cynthia didn’t doubt her for a second.  

She shifted her weight, taking the smallest step back.  “You know– I could stand here all day defending myself to you, insisting I’m prepared for it– but I think we both know that’s a lie.  Diantha knows it’s a lie.  I can try to tell myself I’m prepared– but at the end of the day I’m not…” She shrugged.  “Unless you were born into it, I don’t even know that it’s something someone can be prepared for.  All I can really do is trust that I love her more than all of that terrifies me.”

Malva regarded her for a long few seconds, orange eyes scrutinizing her every move.  When her shoulders fell in a half-sigh, Cynthia finally felt herself relax.  “Stronger woman than me.”

Just like that, Cynthia finally connected the dots.  

In passing, Diantha had joked about the media loving to speculate she was involved with Seibold, completely overlooking the person in her league who she had actually been involved with.  Cynthia had never pressed her to tell her who that was.  If Diantha wanted to say, she could, but it didn’t feel like something she needed to know.

It was Malva.  

She wasn’t there to interrogate her for fun– she was doing it as an ex. Someone who had likely seen firsthand all the aforementioned horrors.  

Cynthia couldn't hold back a small laugh.  

“I had my chance, but gave it all up after convincing myself I’d never be enough for her.  Practically pushed her into that shithead’s arms…Not trying to make the same mistake twice,” she admitted.  

As harsh as she could come off…Cynthia at least appreciated the honesty, and knowing someone was so fiercely in Diantha’s corner.  

“What’s stopping you from putting Mel six feet under?” she asked, clearly as a joke.

Malva threw her head back in a laugh.  “Only the fact that Diantha would know it was me,” she said, getting a defeated laugh from Cynthia.

Of course! And hi! Thanks for the follow! I'm the resident Goten stan so I'd love to do this. All my writing is about Teen Goten so these will primarily be about that era but young Goten gets mentions too.

I kinda did a few of each oops lmao

Headcanon A:  realistic

Goten is not a ladies man or player in the slightest. He is a total sweetheart, and while he is by far the most "street smart" of the Son family, he's still naive and somewhat shy around girls his age.

He has 0 filter and just blurts out the most wild shit, and cant keep secrets very well. He's flown around in public a lot even as a teen completely forgetting that hes not supposd to lmao.

And last one, Goten opens a martial arts school as an adult. He was in college but dropped out, due to feeling like he was just wasting time and didnt even know what he wanted to do. So Trunks got him a job at Capsule Corp in the meantime to help pay the bills for him and his wifey since they're newlyweds at the time. (He got married right before his 20th birthday)

Headcanon B: while it may not be realistic it is hilarious

Goten is a secretly Saiyaman stan even as a teenager. When he was younger, he was the only one who thought Saiyaman was cool. And he still does! He's loved Power Rangers / Sentai his whole life and still like :OOOO when Gohan dresses up lol. He lowkey wanted to be Saiyaman 3, but wont admit it cause he'd be embarrassed doing any of that in public lmao

Also, Goten collects figures of the World Tournament fighters. He has all of them in his room. His favorites are the one of his dad from the 23rd WT, and the one Trunks had specially made of the two of them as Mighty Mask

Headcanon C: heart-crushing and awful, but fun to inflict on friends

Goten is fucked up from the whole Majin Buu Saga. Meeting Goku only for him to have to leave after only a day, finding out his brother (seemingly) died, an watching his mother get killed in front of his eyes in the span of less than 24 hours at the age of seven, he got clingy to all of them when everything first went back to normally. For months, Goten would wake up thinking they're all dead again and he would be all alone again.

However the thing that affected Goten the worst is being absorbed by Buu. The only people who know this are Trunks, and later his girlfriend Marron.

Goten is haunted by being swallowed by that goo and kept in that bod. He has nightmares of being absorbed again, and Marron being killed or turned to chocolate again. He blames himself for not finishing Buu off as Gotenks and "letting" Buu kill her.

When he goes up against Good Buu in End of Z, despite knowing this Buu is pure good he kinda has a panic attack having to fight him again

Headcanon D: unrealistic, but I will disregard canon about it because I reject canon reality and substitute my own.

He had feelings for Marron from a young age, but buried them so deeply he forgot he had them, because he honestly felt he'd somehow screw up. Like Marron, he'd rather just keep things the way they are then end up losing her after a potential break up (spoiler: they dont break up.)

So when Marron finally kisses him for his 16th birthday, (as a "redo" for when she kissed his cheek as kids and he flipped out cause he was convinced he'd get cooties, turn blue and explode), that kiss kinda reawakened those feelings he had. Though this time he realized he couldnt push them away anymore. And didnt want to either.

So TLDR Goten and Marron hook up (what all my fics are about lol, my little rarepair <3), and theres a lightswitch in Goten's mind that makes him want to start training again. He's always liked sparring, but never took it seriously after Buu. But after his first date he realized he had someone he wanted to protect and asked Goku to train him. He eventually learns SSJ2, Instant Transmission, and his goal became to reach SSJ3 on his own and beat his dad in an all out fight.

Also he sometimes takes Marron's hair scrunchie to wear on his wrist for good luck during fights

How many pieces of art do you make in a month? in a year? :’) It depends... If I’m excited about a fandom, I’ll usually play around with a new idea each week. But if I’m between fandoms/too busy IRL, that usually drops to just one piece per month. So... ~4 pieces in a good month, and 20 pieces per year? (also, do animations count as just 1 piece? because the 2 animatics I’ve done took a CHUNK of time to finish, ahahaha)

How many of those do you upload? If I finish a piece, I usually upload it lmaO. So like, 90% of things? For fun, here are some luberto WIPs that I’m not sure I’ll get around to finishing any time soon... 

How many fandoms have you created art for and what are they? Oh god, I don’t think I could count... My most recent/involved fandoms were: Luca, Breath of the Wild, Dorohedoro, My Hero Academia, The Adventure Zone, Haikyuu!!... What’s a WIP that you want to finish, but don’t think you ever will? I don’t know about WIP, but there are a few pieces I’ve posted that I want to re-do pretty badly because I’m just not satisfied with them. But then, I always prioritize new pieces over that sort of exercise when I have creative energy...

What are your strengths as an artist? I think, when I put effort into it, my posing/compositions can be pretty effective at being either dynamic or tender. I like to think my background in graphic design gave me an eye for like... presenting things in an interesting way. And expressions, I get very picky with them, ahaha. 

What are your weaknesses as an artist? Everything!!! Everything. My style is super inconsistent, which can be nice as far as flexibility, but really it means my stuff never turns out quite how I imagine because I just don’t have that much control. Clothing and folds frustrate me endlessly. And even though I get some nice comments on it, I think I need to work on my understanding of color & light a lot; I usually have to “fix” my muddy colors with lots of adjustment layers and overlays. Lately I’ve noticed a pattern, where I imagine a big, beautiful, dramatic piece in my mind, and it doesn’t turn out nearly like I expect in the end;; 

What are your favorite tools to make art with? tbh my most fluid stuff comes from just good ol’ pencils and a sketchbook, but I’ve been using a wacom tablet and photoshop for a while. My friend let me use their iPad & procreate last month and it was?? So cool, I’d love to try that out more.

What colors do you like to use the most? Why? I see a lot of warm oranges and yellows in my recent stuff, haha. I think it just fits well with the literal emotional warmth I’m trying to capture. 6.6

What are your feelings on creating comics? They’re intimidating, but rewarding! The few times I’ve managed to finish a comic, even a simple one, it’s been so fun!!!! And they seem to always get more engagement... but my ideas & energy usually lean more toward, you know, single-frame-art.

4. Do you prefer writing long or short fics?

oh for sure long fics. i’m not sure i could write a short fic if my fucking life depended on it lmao it’s like my fatal flaw. that and being bad at arguments

9. What’s the fic you like the least?

SIGHS DEEPLY. the detroit become twink one, which i am not linking to, because something happened in the middle and i wasn’t able to finish it and now that i’m over that game i don’t know if i ever will. i really liked working on it and i was VERY excited about my ending, but...shit happens. :/ i hope one day i’ll either nut up and finish or just fucking delete it, i HATE having an unfinished work on my profile like that!

10. What would you change if you had it all to do again?

i assume you mean about broken road! i think if anything i’d adjust my timeline a little - it’s weird that such a long fic, which i posted over the course of seven weeks, only took place over about 5 days in-universe time. it feels like longer than that when you read it, so i’d adjust the timing so that it WAS actually longer than that - if anything, i’d like to give john and mary more than one day before breaking them up, and i think sam would have held out against john a lot longer than he did before losing his temper too. a longer timeline also would have allowed dean and cas’s argument to last more than just a couple of hours. 

the other thing i might change is that i’d put the car scene after the argument instead of after dean telling cas about how he got his voice back and talking about the abuse. or maybe i’d swap and put all of chapter 3 close to the end, i don’t know - typically in character arcs, something like a sex scene would go near the end, not the middle. but i was too attached to having it where it was so it could be like it was when i first pictured it to move it. it was one of the very first scenes i ever envisioned for this fic, one of my reasons for writing it to begin with, and i was very loath to change it. 

14. What’s your favorite shipping fic you’ve written? Favorite gen fic?

I WAS HOPING SOMEONE ASK THIS. hello supernatural community, i have written OTHER FANFICTION. it’s wild that broken road is so popular because i’m sitting over here like old man yelling at cloud going THIS IS NOT EVEN MY BEST WORK. and it’s not! i love broken road but it’s not my best work!!! cambionverse (supernatural next gen, EVERYONE who tries it likes it) is my best work, but i cowrote that. for fics i did on my own:

favorite (aka best) shipping fic: the anchor series, but particular the first one. these are teen wolf fics which diverge from canon at the end of season 4 and feature trauma and ace derek hale and past sexual assault and my weird secret rarepair. they are EXTREMELY NSFW i used to have a whole sideblog to hide them on. i think all the minors who used to follow me have aged up but if you are a minor i will literally send your browser history to your grandparents if you click on my ao3. don’t test me. anyway, i think anchor (the first fic) was probably the most perfectly-paced thing i’ve ever written. not before or since have i managed to nail such a beautifully perfect outline the first try with almost no revision required later. i wrote all 50k of it in a MONTH. i stayed up until 10 in the morning on the regular, but i got it done in record time. it practically fell out of my brain into the google doc fully formed. if a fic ever comes even half as easily to me as that one did ever again, i will be very happy. 

favorite gen fic: technically, it’s pre-slash, but how arthur got his groove back for bbc merlin. i like to joke that this is basically the same story as broken road, because it covers many of the same things, such as: self-acceptance and acceptance of others after a lifetime of being told That Thing Is Wrong, daddy’s blunt little instrument grappling with his father’s misdeeds, daddy’s blunt little instrument grappling with what he himself wound up doing as a result of hero-worshipping his father, finding peace after traumatic events, batshit insane fight scenes that make me rub my hands together evilly, me deciding to turn my favorite episode into a 100k canon divergent fix-it fanfiction, and most importantly, people being shocked that gay people exist. i think it has much better “timing” than broken road (broken road’s timeline was so wonky and dumb), and also that it’s better-written, and that the side characters for more attention paid to their arcs.

when someone asks me what my best fic is, it’s always one of these two. so, uh, not to self-promote but if you were ever into teen wolf or merlin...yeah ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Part 3 lmao Bc I suck, I deleted all my fics without backing them up Bc they were embarrassing and I started getting shit for them, and I regret it so deeply now just because of having them to look back on. It’s not the same for everyone but I thought I’d feel better getting rid of my fics and just regretted it years later. (Restraint in particular is the one fic I’m most stressed about, no surprises there it’s been so hyped after I took it down but it’s the worst quality out of the lot of them, but I also have chap 1 already re-written so I could post that at the same time and point people to it like ‘see see, I’m not a shitty writer, I can do better XD’ and then take like months to do another chapter XD)

Aah, I’m sorry you lost your fics that way! Yeah, when I hid my fics, I did want to delete them so badly just to be like 150% done, but I had a feeling I might regret that in the long run, so I put them in a hidden collection instead. If I wanted to, I could keep them hidden forever but still with the nice comments intact (I’ve long since gone through and deleted all the shit ones), or, if my feelings change, I could release them again. I’m glad I did that now, and I wish more people were aware of they could do that. Though I also wish AO3 just had an option to temporarily hide fics, it would be great for when people edit their older work.

Altho, that said, there are a handful of fics I did completely delete off AO3 and I haven’t regretted those luckily.

It’s always a good idea to have backups on a hard drive! Not just in case of deleting and regretting it, but also since the internet isn’t so forever when sites get taken down all the time AO3 is probably safe, but man, I’m not risking it XD
