Sasuke Uchiha & Naruto Uzumaki x female reader Head canons Alphabet NSFW Sasuke Uchiha NSFW: Here
For: Unbetitelt (sorry it took so long)
Edited! I copied the one I did again and fixed the errors n stuff, I noticed it only got five notes altogether 😨
Naruto Uzumaki :
Tumblr media
A = Aftercare (What their like after sex)
You and Naruto are just lying there 🧍‍♀️🧍‍♂️
But after like a minute, Naruto gets up from the bed to run a warm bath for the two of you to jump in.
But if he has enough energy to, he’d put in your favorite scented candle in the bathroom for the two of you to enjoy.
B = Body part (Their favorite body part and on their partner’s)
Just like Sasuke, He feels very confident about his body and would be too proud to show it off.
But if he had to choose a body part It would probably be his chest or his dick.
But if someone asked him that he would say everywhere literally everywhere.
He loves you literally everywhere and doesn’t have a favorite since he adores ya.
- But if he had to pick I’d be your breast or your thighs.
C = Cum (Anything to do with cum basically)
Man cums a buttload 💀
So much it basically leaks out of you, but that case is solved quickly when Naruto stuffs his cock back into your hole and tries to keep it all his and your cum goes to waste.
D = Dirty secret (pretty self-explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)
Naruto’s dirty secret is only for him to imagine only.
Dreams and drools of you, coming out of the seawater, in your two-piece bikini (covering barely anything), how the two small orange triangles detail your perky nipples to the warm breeze, how it sticks to your wet skin and shows your body perfectly, how the sun makes your whole body blaze with shininess', How your bikini would be ripped in the next few minutes, with only a few fingers.
- Hopes to god that nobody will know what he’s dreaming about, especially Sakura (she will beat the absolute shit out of Naruto if she finds out about it)
E = Experience (How experienced are they? do they know what they’re doing?)
Does not know what he’s doing.
Sure he dreamt about it but never thought he would be actually doing what he desires.
But after he gets older he knows a bit more and will know what to do next.
F = Favorite position (This goes without saying)
Honestly enjoys every position, (as long as you enjoy it of course)
But if he had to pick a position I’d probably be 69 positions, or when you ride him.
You can’t even blame him for the 69 positions, Just loves the way you taste and would rather you than be the Hokage, and all the while he gets to feel good as well !!
G = Goofy (Are they more serious in the moment? Are they humorous? etc.)
Right, hear me out.
HE CAN BE DEAD SERIOUS IN ONE MINUTE, thrusting into you roughly, slamming into you almost, muttering and chanting how you are such a slut for his cock n how you are such a good girl.
AND THE NEXT MINUTE HE’S CRACKING JOKES, laughing at your dumb-founded expression, having a smug look on his face.
H = Hair (How well-groomed are they? Does the carpet match the drapes? etc.)
Very neat
Keeps it clean in there yk?
If he’s not even bothered it can get a bit messy with golden yellow hair, just like the rest of the hair on his body.
I = Intimacy (How are they during the moment? The romantic aspect)
Very romantic.
On-time when you’ve come home from a long day at work, sometimes you met with rose petals lying all over the floor leading up to your shared bedroom with Naruto, and when you go inside the bedroom you met with a shirtless Naruto, lying on the bed, elbow on the bed hand on his head, a rose in his mouth and romantic music playing in the background.
J = Jack off (Masturbation)
Doesn't really, But he thinks about you when he goes on missions, and some dirty-minded ones can go through his head and make his cock twitch slightly.
- So yeah, he does, but you wouldn’t catch him doing often when he’s not on missions.
K = Kink (One or more of their kinks)
Praise
Breeding
Begging
The thought of getting caught?? (I don’t know what to call it)
L = Location (Favorite places to do the deed)
Anytime, Anyplace, Anywhere and he’s up for it. Want to keep it private? He’s already dragging you to the bedroom, Semi-public or even public? He’s all ready.
M = Motivation (What turns them on, gets them going)
Just like Sasuke, The thought of getting caught gets him pumped up.
When you challenge him. For example:
“Y/N, stop teasing” Naruto whined Make me” “Oh? What’s this? Is this a challenge?” He smirked “Mmm...Maybe..” You grinned when you noticed he got harder in your hands.
N = No (Something they wouldn’t do, Turn-offs)
Anything to hurt you. Can’t stand the thought of hurting you. And if he thinks he hurt you in a way makes him feel really guilty, even if you say he didn’t.
O = Oral (Preference in giving or receiving, Skill, etc.)
When he’s receiving, He is an absolute wreck.
Moaning, sweating, panting, scratching, s(c)reaming, and all because of you.
But he can’t help it sometimes, the pleasure of your tongue striding against his cock, is too much.
And when he’s giving, he’ll have the exact same energy as you did for him.
P = Pace (Are they fast and rough? Slow and sensual? etc.)
Depends on the mood.
Usually slow and sensual
But if it’s after a stressful mission he goes quite rough without realizing it.
But If you had a stressful mission he would do anything you’d say.
For example: “Hey Babe can you sit down?” “I’m sat” (IF YOU GET THIS REFERENCE, ILYSM). “Can I tie you to the be—” Man already has his hands and legs ready to be tied. “Can you pass me over that bla—” Suddenly the blanket is over you with Naruto cuddling your side.
Q = Quickie (their opinions on quickies, how often, etc.)
Doesn’t like them that much.
Likes it slow and steady sex, so you can properly feel him and not rushed sex.
But if you were in a hurry and he couldn’t get rid of his boner then MAYBE he would.
R = Risk (Are they game to experiment? Do they take risks? etc.)
He certainly does.
Wants to hear everyone hear how good he makes you feel, and how you scream his name so loudly.
Honestly even that singular thought gives him a rock-hard boner.
T = Toys (Do they own toys? Do they use them? On a partner or Themselves?)
Well, only a few ig...
Vibrator, Fluffy handcuffs (he bought that because he thought you’d like it), Plugs and only a few more.
U = Unfair (How much they like to tease)
The biggest tease you will ever meet.
He’ll refuse to give you what you want at this point.
He enjoys how you beg for him to give you what you want. 😮‍💨
- V = Volume (How loud they are, what sounds they make, etc.)
Very vocal. Your sure the neighborhood knows what Naruto and you are doing at night.
He makes a whole bunch of noises that he didn’t even know he could make.
- W = Wild card (A random fluff head canon for the character)
After a long week or so you’ve been on a mission to send a specific type of paper to another village to be kept safe, you’ve been the one to send it off.
But oh well, at least you are home !!!
It was around 6 am and the sun was slowly rising through the fluffy clouds, You opened your door quietly just in case a certain blondie would be alarmed.
You took your shoes off and walked up your stairs gently and opened your room door just to see Naruto, sleeping on his desk with a pile of letters that he was about to send you, and the one he was in the middle of, but soon fell asleep.
Your heart melted and you squealed a lil bit loud and Naruto snapped his eyes open and looked behind him, only to be seen pitch black, since well you were hugging him. super cute. 💖
X = X-ray (Let’s see what’s going on under those clothes)
Sometimes you wonder how the actual hell Naruto’s quite big cock enters you
Like its big, not massively big, a bit over average, and above average in girth.
He hits your sweet spot just when he enters you amazingly.
Y = Yearning (How high is their sex drive?)
Naruto has an extremely high sex drive, Meaning if you bring children into this equation, oh it's going to get really messy.
Z = Zzz (how quickly they fall asleep afterwards)
After you go to sleep, he just watches you with a big grin on his face, wondering how he got such a beautiful woman like you.

unmasked
Pairing: Haruno Sakura/Hatake Kakashi
Rating + Notes: Crack/Fluff, ur classic unmasking trope
Word Count: 769
Summary: A mouth breather. That was the reason behind one of Konoha's greatest mysteries.
Tumblr media
"Sakura," Kakashi abruptly called from his place on the couch.
She pulled her feet from his lap and slowly pushed herself upright, noting the rigidity of his shoulders, Anbu tattoo rippling. "Kakashi?" she responded tentatively. She wasn’t sure if this was finally the breaking point. Defining whatever this was or wasn’t, if he was ready to break their little rituals clumsily as he stumbled into it.
"I’m ready," he said resolutely, tight fists on his knees.
"Wait,” her brow creased, “ready for what--"
His pointer finger slid to the hem of his mask and her eyes widened in shock before slipping into feigned neutrality. Kakashi’s chest rose with a quick inhale as he hooked his index finger under the black fabric.
"You don't have to if you don’t want to!" Sakura rushed, but she really hoped he would.
"No, I-I want to," he bit out.
At his obvious strain, she placed a hand at his knee, but he tugged his mask down in one quick motion. If she left five bruises in the shape of her fingerprints around his knee cap, she swore it was an accident.
"Wow," she breathed. She approached the situation as she did for the first few months of their budding relationship. Treating him like a feral cat--a cat prone to making quick exits out of windows and never showing up again.
"You," she paused tracing his face with her eyes, half wishing she had let Sasuke bleed to death in the Valley of the End to have stolen one of his eyes for herself to burn this moment into her retinas.
Kakashi held still as she forced him to meet her gaze.
"You,” she paused, squeezing his leg reassuringly, “are very handsome."
He tried to fight the flush that rose on his cheeks and averted his eyes, lip twitching at the corner.
Sakura continued, “Thanks for show--"
"--it's a Hatake thing," he rushed out.
Sakura tried to tamp the sharp pang of panic from the uncharacteristic show of vulnerability.
"You don't have to share anything you don't want to," she reminded him quickly.
"No, no I know,” he shook his head, “I-I want to, I’ve wanted to for a while now but just," he ran a gloved hand through his coarse hair, "couldn't." He offered a half smile and drew out a long breath.
"It's a Hatake thing,” he said resolutely. “It's skipped through generations but it's pretty common,” he explained. “My grandmother passed it to my mother and she passed it to me is what I was told." he said, looking at the space next to her ear.
Sakura recalled the thin scroll she found in the Hokage’s library describing the Hatake clan. A nomadic clan that eventually settled towards the mountains of Konoha, but the information about his mother’s side was redacted.
"It's been quite..." he looked up at her briefly  before trailing off and she was really hoping for a medical anomaly-- elongated incisors, retractable fangs, claws. “Troublesome to say the least but, I’ve lived with it this long."
He lifted his jaw to her and she swore he was going to unhinge his jaw like a snake. She wondered if he’d let her conduct tests. He lifted a finger to the tip of his nose--super scent? Fuck, she just came back from the gym, she wondered if--
"Deviated septum."
She tried not to scream.
"It made it hard to breathe, so I was always eating bugs while traveling through trees," he admitted.
Sakura felt a vein pulsate at her brow and she counted her inhales and exhales to ensure they were even--experiments ruined. A mouth breather. That was the reason behind one of Konoha's greatest mysteries.
"I’m very sorry," she stated, slipping into professionalism. "If you'd like, it's a relatively simple surgery." She began describing the procedure, the aftercare and recovery time, slowly relaxing herself with the familiar routine.
Kakashi nodded and smiled shyly at her--damn she thought, no crazy incisors.
"I’d appreciate that," he said sheepishly. Sliding his mask over his handsome, albeit, medically normal features Sakura noted with disdain.
He rubbed the back of his head. "I’ll let you do the surgery, but I’d prefer if no one else could  my face," he trailed off in thought. "But if you could just do it in your apartment and I can rest and hide here--"
He fell back onto the couch, Hyuga chakra point beginning to welt at his neck, and Sakura tamped down her killing intent.
She narrowed her eyes at the passed out jounin. Well, she rolled up her sleeves. Local anesthesias overrated.

SS Month ‘23 - Day 5
Day 4 | Day 5 | Day 6
Prompt: Mafia AU
Warnings: Referenced gang violence, gun injuries
“Ugh, why do you have to be so reckless?” A young woman demanded, pulling the wrapping tighter around the redhead’s calf, her face pinched in frustration. “You know Granny is gonna be mad.”
The redhead grunted. “Granny doesn’t have to find out about this.”
“Why exactly should I keep a secret like this?! You were shot clean through the leg!”
“Because if she knows I got into another fight, it’ll worry her too much. You don’t want to worry her, do you?”
Sakura kissed her teeth, tucking the wrapping in and securing the bandage. “I worry enough without you getting into gang fights, Sasori. I don’t want her to find out the hard way when you get sent to the hospital.” As soon as her work was finished, she pulled her hands back. “Were you followed?”
“Only by Weasel.”
“At least he’s trustworthy,” griped the younger as she got to her feet. Extending a hand, she glanced at the doorway. “Thank you for looking after my idiot cousin, Weasel.”
There was a pause, and in that lull, Sasori grasped her hand and used it to help himself up. He grunted again in pain. Then a low voice came from the door, “It’s no problem.”
Weasel was only a few years older, it seemed, yet he seemed far older than he was. Deep dark eyes peered back at her from under his hood, the creases of his frown lines partially hidden by his facemask. She’d not seen his face yet; perhaps one day she would be able to.
“Well,” said the older man, slipping Sasori’s arm over his shoulder, “I should take him home.”
“You do that,” the girl tersely answered, folding her arms across her chest.
----
The next morning, she slumped against a bench, music blaring in her ears as she fought to keep herself awake. The words on the page of her anatomy textbook blurred and swam in her vision and she had to shut her eyes lest she get dizzy.
When she felt someone sit down beside her, she cracked open one eye to see someone in navy blue and dark jeans with two to-go cups of coffee.
Wordlessly he held one out to her.
She raised a brow, but fully opened her eyes and accepted the hot cup, the steam from the lid making her sigh in content.
“You looked like you needed it,” he started, taking a sip of his own. “Uchiha Sasuke, Criminology major.”
“Haruno Sakura, Nursing,” she answered, taking a sip. The bittersweet taste was almost heavenly in the cool of the morning air. “I haven’t seen you around campus much; are you new?”
“No, I keep to myself.” Sasuke stared at the expanse of the campus center absently, poised and alert.
She hummed in response and took another sip of coffee. “Waiting for class, then?”
“Yeah.” His fingers tapped the side of the takeaway cup and he sighed, his breath mere wisps of fog. “Actually, I wanted to introduce myself. I think you know my brother.”
“Oh?” Might as well humor him, she decided as she shut her textbook and turned slightly to better face him. “Who’s your brother?”
“Uchiha Itachi. I believe he’s the teaching aide for the nursing course this year.” He finally looked her in the face, and something about his own looked very familiar. Deep dark eyes and matching hair framing an angular jaw, slender nose, pale complexion - where had she seen him before?
“I haven’t met the aide yet,” she admitted, fiddling with the spine of her book. “So he’s your brother? That’s interesting.”
He nodded his head slightly. “He’s mentioned you. Said you were a hard worker.”
Sakura snorted, giving him an amused quirk of her lips. “For this tuition? You bet your ass I’m gonna be a hard worker. I think my mom would kill me if I wasted it.”
“Yeah,” he chortled, the first real show of any emotion since he’d sat down. “My mom is the same way. Dad is strict, but Mom is scary - I’d rather get him upset than her.”
“Same. My dad is a pushover compared to her.” Taking another sip, she sat up a bit. “What time does your class start? You mind if I walk with you?”
“I don’t see why not; I think the psych building is close to the medical sciences building.” Getting to his feet, he waited for her to pack her book and get up.
The two walked in a comfortable silence, every so often breaking it with small talk. It turned out that Sasuke was quite funny when he wanted to be, even if he didn’t mean to. His dry demeanor reminded her quite a bit of Sasori, and it made it all the easier to talk to him.
Finally, they got to the medical sciences building; but instead of hanging back, he walked up the steps with her and held open the door.
Sakura paused, giving him a questioning look.
“I want to see if my brother is in yet,” he explained, gesturing with his head.
Well, she wasn’t about to complain. Murmuring a thanks, she headed into the warm lobby and sighed in delight. When he shut the door behind them, the cold nip declined to follow as they walked to the stairs.
Getting to her lecture hall was easy - and when the door opened, Sasuke visibly brightened a fraction when they saw the professor speaking with someone else.
“Itachi!” He called, making his way down to the front.
Sakura followed behind at a slower pace, and by the time she got to her usual spot, Itachi had turned.
Deep dark eyes, worry lines creasing his cheeks… hang on a minute…
“Itachi?” She blurted in surprise, and it all made sense. Weasel.
He looked up when she spoke, a hint of surprise in his face, before he was nodding politely to her. “Good morning, Miss Haruno.”
“You’re early again,” the professor teased with a chuckle.
“You-- you know him, then.” Sasuke said, glancing between them.
“I think I do,” she confirmed with narrowed eyes as her grip tightened on her backpack. “You know my cousin, right? Sasori?”
“Ah, yes,” agreed the older man, “I believe we met while he was working for your grandmother’s pharmacy.”
“Small world,” she muttered under her breath before straightening up. “Well, the next time you see him you tell him he owes me big time. I almost slept through my alarm.”
To her surprise, the stoic man laughed - it was a soft, thoughtful sound. “I’ll make sure to pass on the message.”
“Small world,” she repeated quietly before turning to Sasuke with a smile. “I suppose we ought to get lunch or something sometime.”
“Sure,” the young man agreed. “Itachi? You wanna come?”
“I don’t see why not.” Flashing his younger brother a smile, he ruffled his hair much to his ire.

Nice pants.
.....
(Cafee Konoha.)
Sai: Um, do you know where I can find a phone booth?
Ino: Oh Yeah! There's one towards the toilets's section, through the hallway.(Points up the back and right behind the couch to where Neji was sitting with the basketball while Sasuke was trying to read a red book, Little Women with a frustrated frown. While Shikamaru was sipping a his coffee far away from the couch, onto his own table.)
Ino: Need a coin?
Sai: I've got one, into my sock, here.
And brought up his leg onto the the edge of the couch, where it left Neji quite and nearly surprised as his eyes went wide.
The guy was wearing short shorts but with no underwear!
And that was quite close to his eyesight here. Oh man!
He pushed or more leaned himself to Sasuke's back in order to avoid Sai's 'private parts.'
Which the last Uchiha had found odd as he dropped his book and sighed, annoyed as he felt an sudden pression to his back.
Sasuke(Annoyed): What are you doing? Just because your cousin married my best stupid friend, doesn't mean we have to be that close..(Shoves him away with a push as Neji quckly shuts his eyes with disgust.)Get back to your side--Oy yeah--Hello!
The idiot had finally caught it.
Oh man! Seriously? Sasuke's eyes were petrified by the sight as he waved off Sai or more his junk. Now I know why Hyuuga went onto my back..
The guy had no underwear! Oh crap!
Sasuke: Hi, I'm Sasuke.( Shakes Sai's hand, as he was grinning, wide but uncomfortable.)
Sai(Totally confident): I'm Sai!
Neji: Neji..And you're the guy with no underwear on..
Shikamaru: Shikamaru, dude.
Sai: Nice to meet you, guys! (Then walks away to go to the toilet. Leaving the boys snickeredly laughing.)
And to Ino whom retrieved her coffee and exchanged a weird look towards the three guys laughing.
Ino: Man, what are you laughing? What's going on?
Shikamaru wipped off his eyes while Sasuke and Neji kept on laughing like idiots.
Ino: Um, guys..
Shikamaru: No worries.
Sakura(Leans over Ino's ear as she held cabaret with two coffee mugs and whispered.):If Sasuke and Neji are laughing together in the same room, I'd be worried if I were you, Ino. I'd think the world would be ending..
And leaves to see the costumers, much to the boys delight.
Sasuke(Gives a teasing puch onto Neji's shoulder, when he heard Sakura's reply.): Hey! We're not making a war, right?
Neji: Not with you, though! You wouldn't last! (He wipes off a tear from his eye.)
Sasuke: Not you, either!( And he cracked even harder!)
And the boys kept laughing, too much for Ino's confused sight as she sat down between the two guys who were holding theirs stomachs as they were in pain.
Ino(Looking confused, still): Why, you don't like Sai?
But the two boys kept laughing on her question.
Ino: Guys--
Shikamaru(Waved off with a hand, still grinning.): Calm down, Ino. There's no need to be tasty!
Neji and Sasuke: No way!(They laughed off again! A Hyuuga and a Uchiha laughing together. The world had gone insane!)
Ino(Getting impatient): Guys!
Neji(Tried to calm down as he put a hand over his chest and tried to sound a bit serious, now.): I'm sorry. We're sorry..It's just that Sai isn't concealed through the shorts area as one may hoped...You get it, right?
Ino(Suspicious): What the heck do you mean?
Sasuke: I'll show you..(Still grinning.)
Sai walks in the scene, much to her shock.
Sai: Hi ya! (Walks again back to the scene and sat onto the sofa at Neji's left side.)
Sasuke: Hey, Sai. Could pass me up the cookies?
Sai: Yeah, sure!( Lift himself up and lean over the table to the get the cookies as Ino blushes hard at the sight when she watched him stretch out his legs. While Sasuke thanked him with a smirk.)
Sai: So? Wanna game?(Getting too much comfortable here much to everyone here.)
Neji: Sure.(As he looked away when his fingers made the ball move.)
While Ino was too stunned to say anything back as she looked away with a hand to cover her mouth.

Note
Wait, what do you mean when you say Sarada's conceiving was shady?
Hi anon.
Reason one - Sakura looks so damn guilty everytime Sarada asks her about Sasuke.
Tumblr media
(Ik, sad looking slides, Canva would probably ban me forever if they saw them)
And even generally, like she really wants to keep the facade of her marriage going. She just gives a strong impression like she is hiding something. She looks guilty, like she is worried the truth will come out as a response to Sarada's queries. And she looks sad, but also conciliatory, just resigned to her fate of being a lonely, unloved woman who is lying to her only child.
If there was such a connection, she wouldn't have looked like this. Instead, she would have been assured and calm, confident in her 'connection'. If you know you are loved, if you are secure in the knowledge that you are loved, you wouldn't be fearful of people pointing fingers at you. And no one exemplifies this better than Naruto.
Tumblr media
Reason 2 - Sasuke looks really uncomfortable around her. Like he doesn't wanna be reminded of his miserable life with her. It has always been clear to any reader with half a mind that Sasuke never had any love for Sakura. He never respected her, he never really thought of her as a friend, he is never happy to see her, doesn't even crack a smile. At most, he thought of her as a team member when he was still a part of team seven. However, all his interactions with Sakura clearly show that he has a very low opinion of her. He doesn't even like her or tolerate her touch. She is just annoying as far as he is concerned, devoid of sensitivity, dignity, integrity and concern for others. Especially Naruto.
I really find it hard to believe that Sasuke willingly slept with Sakura. Like hell naw. I have a feeling that she tricked him and trapped him into marrying her. Does she have the kind of duplicitous and manipulative personality to be able to do such a thing? I mean apart from the fact that she used to have an inner Sakura, we also have this among many other examples, among one of the most recent ones. Brainwashing Sarada about Ino, Ino, the first person in school who was kind to Sakura, first person to befriend Sakura. Smh.
Tumblr media
I think she masterminded a situation where Sasuke had no choice but to marry her, maybe for the sake of Sarada. Why else would he say that Sarada is the reason for his connection to Sakura?
Tumblr media
And unpopular opinion but idgaf, I think Sasuke looks uncomfortable around Sarada as well. Like she reminds him of his association with Sakura, a life he never wanted in the first place. It also doesn't help that he dismisses Sarada's questions and concerns quite easily. Sure, he is goal oriented and is focusing on his mission. But this is his child, that he has met after a decade. How come he has so many soft expressions when he meets Naruto but for Sarada he has none? Towards the end, when he hugs her, I got the impression that he just took things in perspective, since he had some time to think about it since Sarada came to visit him, when he was taken by surprise. It's not Sarada's fault that he is in such a sad predicament. But he is still distant with Sakura.
Tumblr media
I really wish Sarada had asked Sakura - Mom, why didn't he respond to you? Or at least say something?
I would have liked to see what Sakura would have said. Heheh. But Kishi would never be that explicit. He really wouldn't. How do we know?
Tumblr media
So here, Sasuke is about to give some explanation as to why he is never around. It would have cleared a lot of things because Sasuke isn't Sakura. He would not have lied about his reasons, he might have softened the blow for Sarada's sake, but he would have told the truth. Or at least he would have given some solid indication as to their situation. It's even more incriminating that Sakura here looks nervous, as if she is worried about what he might end up saying. The truth.
But it would have been too explicit. So what did Kish do? He justified cutting off Sasuke's explosive revelation with this.
Tumblr media
Shin attacks and cuts Sasuke's speech off. Was the timing deliberate? No doubt it was. Very convenient. Very clever actually. Drop the audience a hint but let them fill the empty spaces themselves because he is writing a shounen battle manga. He has been doing shit like this since chapter three of part one. Red herrings, smokescreens, subterfuge, strategic distractions, that's how Kish rolls. At least in Naruto.
Reason 3 - Kishi's repeated allusions that Karin might be Sarada's mother. The way I see it, Karin isn't the mother. Basically I can't imagine Sasuke sleeping willingly with any woman. Because he is gay. And in love with Naruto.
But Kishi really didn't have to drop this angle in here. It is kinda sensationalistic and slightly inappropriate for shounen, adultery being the theme here. But well, he never leaves an opportunity to diss SS. He certainly tried his best to show SS in extremely bad light, like Sasuke and Sakura's so called connection is so precarious (as it's non existent), that even Naruto, Suigetsu and Sarada believed for a moment that Sakura might not be the mother. Makes SS look very sordid, doesn't it? Juxtapositioning Sarada and Karin's faces, dropping veiled insults like Sakura chased Sasuke, he could have just made Karin say that they traveled together. Aren't Karin and Sakura friends? Wouldn't Karin be expected to have a charitable opinion on how Sakura snagged Sasuke? Hehehe. Yeah, things don't add up unless you decode Kishi's devilish ministrations.
Tumblr media
Also, the issue of the umbilical cord only serves in making SS and especially Sakura look even more Sasuke crazy. Like she was still traveling with him, living in caves and forests, as she was heavily pregnant? Sasuke wouldn't have returned to Konoha for her sake, but she could have returned for Sarada's. It's a Japanese tradition for the mothers to keep the umbilical cord safely. Many other Asian countries have the same tradition, the idea being umbilical cord is the physical and spiritual connection between the mother and the unborn baby, it's sacred, it's symbolic, it's meaningful. But Sakura didn't keep it, Karin did. So what is Kishi trying to say here? That Sasuke is more important to Sakura than her own child. She would keep an old picture of Sasuke (which she perhaps took from Karin) which doesn't even include her but not the cord. Makes you think. That Sakura is still the same, even after becoming a mother. Addicted to Sasuke. It's just so sad.
Anyway, with the way Kishi wrote Gaiden, since he couldn't write these established dynamics explicitly, he instead dropped allusions, hints, applied visual tricks and narrative devices, he used his personal arsenal of storytelling tools to colour SS as dysfunctional, unpleasant, superficial, a 'connection' only meant as a pretence for Sarada's sake. Including the story of her conception.

“I’ve heard you’ve run every driver out of town.”
“Yes, that’s fair. The last one quite literally; he was terrified, in the end.”
The first rule of fight and club and the first rule of crushing on your boss are the same; you don’t talk about it.

sotto voce
Rating:  Mature Tags: Confessions; Hair-washing
Could he tell her that when she lays her hands on him, touches his scalp that tender way in which she unravels his hair soaked with salt and sweat and travels, he finds himself catching his breath? One of the few times his limbs find the level and tranquilize, luxuriate in the chillbumps that sweep from the base of his neck down the spine?
That he’s considered lifetimes in scattered astronomy-dimensions in which all they do is this?
↠

So then, so now. In the simmering tangerine heat, she stands waiting in knee-high boots and the skirt he’s glimpsed her in so often, and he commits her shape to memory through each stage of the return of his sharp sight.
↠
poco a poco | Lover’s Quarrel  Rating: Mature Tags: If it’s orange it’s poison yo
Underneath the dense foliage of a magnificent, custodial beech tree, they sit quiet for a bit, apologizing without moving their lips — in the buzz of insects, the nostalgic trilling of toads, the whispering of tree leaves.
Sasuke watches her in profile; then, with an unexpected tenderness, tucks her hair behind her ear, dark eyes on the split skin of her cheekbone.
↠
tenerezza | Headcanon: Sasuke does Sakura’s laundry Rating: Mature Tags:  Cuddles, bittersweet ones; head surgeon Sakura; Hurt/Comfort
He keeps his comments to himself: That she has staff for a reason, that their ex-sensei-turned-Kage works her too hard and he’d made a curt mention of it when reporting back, that perhaps someone could take the task of laundering bloody work clothes off her hands. Their responsibilities even in this delicate period they call peacetime still weigh heavy, principle baked into their bones.
In the future, their children won’t know the world quite like this.
↠
tempo rubato | They bring home a baby Rating: Mature Tags:  Falling in love; Love and Duty; Team as Family

↠
Perigee | Sasuke reflects on love, in 2nd person POV  Rating: Mature Tags: Experimental Style; post-war; Astronomy theme; existential musing

Gold | AU - College/University Rating:  Explicit Tags:  Art Class - live model drawing; Sakura in pursuit; Sasuke has issues; sexual tension; Deidara’s a teacher fresh out of prison Background: past NaruGaa; onesided NaruIno
Contrary to the urban legend, painting the body in full won’t cause imminent death for the model. Sasuke inherently knows this.
But as he watches her skin drown in shimmering gold, transcend the human shape in gentle whorls and bends, piercing green eyes daring him to move — he believes suffocation is still a distinct possibility.
(Alternatively: Sasuke’s sprung, Naruto’s in crisis, and their new art instructor just got out of prison.)

Six months past a world war, two weeks post-prison, and all he’s been dreaming of are her dangerous, beautiful hands.

It’s garish, ugly, gold without its shine. Saffron without its luster. Clashes with her pink hair and appears to him to be craven semaphore bobbing in the dark sea of the dance floor, catching the light in a flippant way no nicer than giving him a crude gesture.
In the language of flowers, he’s so very sure Sakura is telling him to fuck right off.

Team 7 Dynamics
Fare il Prezioso | Implied One-night stand; rumor!mill Rating: Teen Tags:  Team as Family; Jealousy; Bar room brawl
When Sasuke, looking drunk, angry, sick, or some combination of them all, recoils from the anticipated touch, Naruto changes tack by pointing at him, then at the back of Sakura’s head, and claps his hands together messily, like he’s squeezing an orange.
↠
Tremolando | T7 lives together, SS FWB, chaotic AF Rating:  Teen Tags: self-hating Uchiha; Angry Sakura; Drama; Jealousy
Placing her hands on the sides of his face, she whispers, “I’m scared. I’m scared of us, of this.” A beat. Her touch burns in the most wonderful way, but it doesn’t couch the awful way she finishes, speaking it into his lips like a secret. “Sometimes I’m scared of you.”
↠
Stretto | The morning after | T7 + Kakashi bonding Rating: Teen Tags:  Conspiracy; Jealousy; Disassociation; Unhealthy coping mechanisms
“I’m moving,” Sakura says abruptly, dreamily. She’s sunken into the couch, chin on her chest, staring into space. “Anywhere. A lonely underserved village. A castle. The bottom of a well. Change my name. I’ll kill someone otherwise.”
“That’s dramatic,” Sasuke says drily, without changing tone or expression.
“Did you just make a joke? Sakura, what did you do to him?”
Kakashi leans in closer, voice low. “Are all of you quite sure you haven’t taken anything funny?”
↠
Epoch | T7 officially gets back together | Mentor/Protege Rating: Teen Tags: Conspiracy; Drinking; Team as Family; Overpowered children; Implied/referenced Rape/Non-Con

↠
Affrettando |  FWB mess | Shinobi Politics Rating: Teen Tags: Stalking; Trauma; Drama; Complicated Relationships; Belligerent Sexual Tension
If it’s half of what he feels, a touch could erupt them in an instant, a lit match to a tinderbox. She stays silent. Her movements reflect the dance, and he wonders if she thinks a detail ever escapes his gaze.
Arms unfolded now, his fingers signal something universal.
“Come.”
(Perhaps this is what you’ve been terrified of—how she breathes life into you, and holds you up to the light.)
↠
L’anima | Sakura’s attacked at the hospital
Rating: Teen Tags: Political alliances; Shinobi system critique; blood and injury
Defying him, at a time like this. In her worst moments, or perhaps her best, she is difficult to bend. A habit now ingrained, he rubs a thumb across her cheekbone, a fixation, like it will bind her to the earth and to him.
The hospital is infiltrated; they face the unknown specter of betrayal.
↠
Ostinato |  Sakura gets eaten out in a closet | Alliances falling apart Rating: Teen Tags: Lime; Closets; Shinobi politics; complicated relationships
Departing in mutual weakness, culminating in the end of the world, and returning to a hurricane. Always in the eye of her, some complicated but honest peace.
Sasuke and Naruto blow off steam. Sakura gets what she wants. Strangers come to visit.
↠
Fuocoso | Team 7 goes rogue & Sasuke falls in love (officially) Rating: Mature Tags: dai-nana-han, T7 has issues; Sakura is the glue of this team; shinobi politics; friendship
A crackle in the dirt, the energy of his dear children, he swears, prompting the earth to shudder underneath their feet.
"They'll come for you in seven days."
Time ticks away. Reunited, Team Seven prepares to depart for their first mission, but not without ensnaring one another, and those that love them, into their convoluted myths.

Fic Rec (it's been too long and I read a whole lot of fics)
I've read so many fics these past couple of months and my need to share them to the world has seized me by the throat. Please enjoy and support these fanfic writers! They are the best. XD
-
[Naruto]
Nine-Tailed Foxes are Dead by RowlettLesbian
Ship: Shikamaru/Naruto
For Konoha, it's been one month since the preliminary Chunin exams. For Naruto, it's been six. And he wasn't in Konoha.
At the end of his ordeal, Naruto walks into the Chunin Exam finals without his left arm.
Shikamaru is very concerned. And, eventually, very precious to Naruto as they work together to solve the mysteries of Konoha and bring kindness to the Shinobi world, one adventure at a time.
(I would die for this fic. I know the summary sounds doom and gloom but IT'S NOT. This fic made me fucking cry, I don't think I've ever read a fic that characterized Naruto so right. He's so full of hope and love and develops into the best version of himself and I'm so HERE FOR IT. And it's not just Naruto, Shikamaru is absolutely amazing here along with Kakashi and surprise surprise Ino, I can't BELIEVE it took me this long to stumble across this fic. Also THE WORLDBUILDING IS TO DIE FOR!!! And the plot! Is! So! Interesting! Just, everything about this fic is just amazing so please PLEASE read this!!!)
The End of the Uchiha by RowlettLesbian
Ship: Naruto/Sasuke
“I promise, little electric spirit of this shrine,” he whispered into the soft dirt and fallen leaves, “I will never gain the eyes. I will never pass them on. And I will make sure the eyes end in my brother, so that they can’t hurt anybody anymore. I will be the last Uchiha, and see to the end of the Copy-Wheel Clan. Then all of the hatred here can stop, and my family can rest peacefully. I promise, little shrine.”
Sasuke is more than his brother thinks he is. He's more than any Uchiha has ever been. He will kill his brother, but it will not be vengeance.
It will be mercy.
(Same author as the one above, they are the gift that keeps on giving. Seriously, HOW did I NEVER FIND THESE FICS before now??? One of life's greatest mysteries. The author's sense of humor is so on point here along with the atmospheric writing that's so vivid in the mind. Their writing style is so recognizable to me now and makes me fall into the world they're creating, it's stunning. Sasuke here makes me want to hug him and the idea of him living like a feral ghibli character has me LIVING. Check the tags of the fic, all of it is true, hand to god. Please give all of the author's fics a shot, it's a rabbit hole I'm thankful I fell into!)
mil fantasmas (gritan en calma) by LegaciesandMemories
Post-Tsukuyomi, something in Uchiha Sasuke's mind shatters. The same night, Yamanaka Ino falls asleep and doesn't wake up for 15 days.
---
In which Ino and Sasuke both wake from the aftermath of the Uchiha Massacre with the ability to see ghosts, and no one is prepared for the fallout.
(This fic has arrested my curiosity and eagerness to know what will happen next. These poor kids need so many hugs and Ino is getting the spotlight she deserves. I am so excited for this fic and what it has in store! Please read! XD)
Lichtenberg Figures by Asteroid_Duck (JustThatOneGirl1815)
Name: Kakashi Hatake Rank: Jounin Status: Missing Nin Missing Since: June 15th, 271 AD Note: Flee on Sight . . . Haburashi looked his team in the eyes— three, fresh out of the Academy genin— and resolved to teach them as best as he could. And right now, his lesson was simple: “Stay. Away. From. Kakashi. Hatake.”
(Dimension travel fic with a slice of Kakashi being an absolute troll and dealing with the shitty hand he's been dealt with. Seriously, the man has the worst luck in all of Konoha. Also, the mystery of the other Kakashi's history has me leaning by the edge of my seat, I need to know.)
The Governess by Ysmirel
Ship: Kakashi/OFC
"“What,” he finally asked, “is so funny?”
Ibara bit her lower lip to keep the chuckles in, still smiling and making absolutely no effort to get more space between them, seemingly perfectly at ease within reach of a trained shinobi. Her self-control wasn't all that good, as she ended up snorting and was overcame once again by another fit of laughter. “I just- It's just-” She struggled to speak, trying to catch her breath and wiping away tears of mirth with the hand that wasn't still holding onto his vest. Finally, she looked him in the eye and said, with a smile that was all teeth and without a hint of her previous drunken stupor, “and who's going to believe you?”
As he stood there, stunned by her words and change in demeanor, he realized with dawning horror that she was right."
In which Kakashi finds himself at the other end of the troll shtick, and he doesn't appreciate it all that much.
(It's so hard to find self-insert fics with a fresh concept these days, especially in the naruto fandom. Not that I don't enjoy and devour a lot of self insert fics like it's going out of style, but it's just so nice to find something new and shiny and really damn good. I'm so pumped for this fic and how it's going to develop so please join me in rooting for this fic!)
half a league (until the valley of death) by SpectersShadow117
Kakashi can think of no reason for Sasuke's inexplicable and drastic change in behavior. He doesn't like the desperate, haunted gleam in his student's eyes, and he also doesn't like the nagging feeling that he's missing something very important. Aka: Future Sasuke goes to Past Sasuke and gives him a reality check with Specific Intentions, but as with most Uchiha, his methods leave much to be desired. (Featuring: Childhood trauma FTW, Konoha's shitty care of orphans, and absolutely no one having a fun time.)
(Sasuke wanting to change the future out of complete and utter spite has me LIVING. Sasuke is such a Mess here and the twist on the time travel premise is so good and the kid is so Traumatized and Desperate and Not Having A Good Time. Naruto and Sakura developing as better ninjas and Kakashi trying his best makes me want to scream. Also, how Sasuke thinks about Itachi makes me want to cackle. I am 100% down for this. I am rooting for this kid, go get them! XD)

[Harry Potter]
fruit loops in time (circle around me) by justprompts
Ships: Harry/Draco, Remus/Sirius
"This is Crabbe, and Goyle," the blonde boy says, pointing at the two boys next to him. "And I'm Malfoy, Draco Ma - "
Ron laughs, and Malfoy immediately bristles.
"Think my name's funny, do you?" Malfoy says, angrily. "No need to ask yours - "
"You're honestly so cute," Ron interrupts, yet again, shaking his head. "So tiny. And so angry, all the time. It's adorable."
Alternatively Ron Weasley, Time Traveller Extraordinaire, is stuck in the same seven year Hogwarts Loop, repeating the same thing over and over again. Naturally, he's so done with everything.
(This is the greatest hp fic I've ever read. I LOVE RON WEASLEY and by the time you read this fic SO WILL YOU!! This is the fic I WISH I have the ability to write. I read this entire fic aloud to my brother and we spent literal hours howling and talking about how utterly insane and incredible this fic is, it's amazing. This is hands down my favorite Ron Weasley. You Can Pry This Fic From My Cold Dead Fingers.)

[Boku no Hero Academia]
Kacchan's Cult by Ourliazo
Pro Hero Ground Zero is attacked, originally meant to be de-aged out of existence by a desperate villain but is instead launched into his 14-year-old self.
But Katsuki is a fucking pro so whatever, time to fuck up someone's day. And sure, maybe he's only one man, but that's why he conscripts the entirety of the UA student body into tearing down some criminal empires.
(It's time travel, crack, and Bakugou being his usual explody, competent self. What more in life do you want? Seriously though, please read. I'm obsessed with this fic and having a Good Time!)
Cleaning Crew; Teaching Kids to Value their Safety, for Fun and Profit by Reavv
Takenaka Hideo is a thirty-two year old, in mild desperation for money, who has just been hired as a new janitor for UA's support staff. He has a quirk that lets him find lost objects, a liaison with the police because of it, and desperate desire for competent co-workers.
Oh, and he's already lived a previous life, in a world where quirks and heroes didn't even exist.
Not a big deal, though. It's not like you ever see the janitor playing a big part in action movies. He's here to get paid, and that's it.
On the opposite side of the equation, class 1-A has to wonder at the new UA cryptid that always seems to show up when things are on fire, and who keeps trying to convince them to let the adults handle the fire extinguisher.
(A great deal of fun packed into one fic. That is how I title this fic and nothing will change my mind! Hideo just wants to quietly do his job and not get in the way. I Relate. Please read!)
Poltergeist by WriterGreenReads
Class 1-A is haunted.
Well, not really.
I AM dead, though.
World's friendliest poltergeist, at your service.
(I don't know how I got so sucked into OC fics, but I found some fantastic fics along the way so I have no regrets. The author really tries to push the premise and I just love all the interactions and dynamics that form as the fic gets further in. And the OC character and all the hijinks they get up to cracks me up! At the same time, it's pretty heartwarming and it's practically a friendships galore fic! Definitely recommend it!)
invincible by supercrunch for Engrin
Ship: Bakugou/Midoriya
This is the way the world works: the sun rises in the east. The strong come out on top. Bakugou Katsuki rockets through life like a comet and Midoriya Izuku stumbles after. If he believed in such things Katsuki would say it was written in the stars. That some god of war had looked at him and said this one. That he’d been passed along a line to get his blessings – genius, willpower, fearless ambition – and dropped off on earth.
Then, of course, there is the question of Deku. The spitfire runt. Deku, no matter what the world does to him, never stops hoping.
Until, of course, he eventually does.
(Katsuki broke him. Snapped him in half like a twig and now has to scramble to put Deku back together. “We can do this, Deku," he says slowly. "There are so many mysteries that never got put to bed. Criminals roaming around looking to hurt people and you and me, we can fix that.”
There’s a long pause. The comforter slips a little off Deku’s skinny shoulders and drowns him. “You mean like a team?”
In that split second, Katsuki makes a decision he’s never even considered. He swallows his pride. “Yeah, Deku. We’d be a team.”)
(If there was any other way canon could've gone, this is the story I would've wanted. It's perfect.)
Inadvertent Wilderness Therapy by Cacid
Following an unfortunate encounter with a teleporter on the last day of internships, Bakugou Katsuki and Hakamata Tsunagu spend some quality time in northern Canada.
In no particular order they will: build ugly survival shelters, stalk rabbits, run from polar bears, reflect on the chemical composition of trees, insult each other, and complain about krumholtz.
(THESE TWO. TOGETHER. IN THE WILDERNESS. IN FUCKING CANADA OF ALL PLACES. I still can't believe this fic actually exists and just how INVESTED I became in their relationship. Blue Jeanist instantly became my favorite ranked hero with this fic alone. HIS SENSE OF HUMOR IS TERRIBLE, I LOVE HIM SO MUCH FNIEWOPAF. BAKUGOU DOES TOO. IT'S FUCKING INCREDIBLE. *incoherent screeching into the wild*)

[Stranger Things]
Baci D'aria by RabbitDarling
“Love is worth the sum of itself, and nothing more.” ― Alice Hoffman, Practical Magic
Steve learned a lot at his Aunt's side before she passed but his favourite thing she taught him was baci d'aria; special little spells that you created from the heart and put into the food you shared.
In opening his heart and gifts to those around him Steve slowly finds himself a family in a way he never thought he'd get to experience. One by One he collects pre-teens to trail in his wake like ducklings and Steve can't even refute it by the time he realizes what has happened.
(This fic is so soft and Steve is just collecting people and winning them over with his magical food (literally). I am always a sucker for heartwarming, good for the soul fics so if you want to make yourself hungry and feel all warm and gooey inside, read this!)
(Don't Fear) The Reaper by TeaFourTwo
Ship: Steve/Billy
He looks down at the blood on his hands and on the floor and wonders why the memory hasn’t broken yet, why he isn’t back in Starcourt mall with control of his body again, wonders if he's even still alive at all. Is this hell then? Or perhaps purgatory? It certainly isn’t heaven, that’s for sure. None of this makes any sense…but then what's new—nothing in Billy’s life makes sense anymore.
Billy laughs then, loud and long and unhinged. It's the only sound in the whole house, and it bounces off the walls like a fucked up echo, like the world is laughing with him.
“Jesus christ you’re insane…” It’s Max’s voice and it’s shaking. It only makes Billy laugh harder, because Max has it all wrong. Billy isn’t crazy, it’s the rest of the world that’s insane.
--
Billy dies a hero of sorts. He wakes up back in his bed on Saturday morning, the third of November, 1984...nearly nine months earlier.
(Billy is stuck in a time loop and it's slowly driving him crazy. And the fic shows just how much influence Billy did have in the plot and how doomed the world is without him in it. Great character exploration with Billy's character and all the ways he's so messy and human. Definitely recommend it!)

[Knives Out]
The Road Less Traveled By by UisceOneLove
Ship: Marta/Ransom
If Harlan wants to leave Ransom to be on his own, fine. He'll show him just what Ransom Drysdale is capable of.
or, where Ransom chooses to prove his abilities through means of the non-homicidal variety and finds himself becoming exactly what Harlan was hoping he would.
(I found this fic out of sheer chance and god, Ransom is just, so fascinating to me as a character. Marta of course is the Best here and I will forever stan her. Seriously, this is such a good fic! Please read!)

[Haikyuu!!]
Sky Full of Stars by grilledsquids
The Hinatas are twins. They're practically identical.
But while Shouyou seeks out Karasuno's volleyball team to become the next Little Giant, Natsu is scouted to to play soccer for Shiratorizawa. While Shouyou sets his eyes on playing volleyball at the highest level possible, his sister wonders how much longer she can play soccer... and if it's worth it to keep going.
A Natsu-centric story featuring: Shiratorizawa VBC shenanigans, too many soccer OCs, mild teenage drama, a little bit of plot, and Semi Eita not knowing what a period is.
(It's just!! So cute and wholesome!!! The Shiratorizawa volleyball team is so fleshed out along with the OC characters for the girl's soccer team and I swear, it's been a long while since I've laughed this much at the sheer shenanigans that happen in a fic. It's surprisingly hard to find good gen fics in this fandom so finding this gem made me so happy! If you want a fic that brings a smile to your face, read this!!)
like water by speakingincode
Ship: Oikawa/Kageyama
“Oikawa,” Iwaizumi says, and when Tooru looks at him, he can read My best friend’s an idiot off the crease of his eyebrows. “Are you telling me you spent the last three years weirdly obsessed with Kageyama – I still remember the time you made us play him on a dumb whim, you know – and now you’re at his beck and call? Are you okay? What the hell is wrong with you?”
“I’m— I’m not at his beck and call! I said no last week. It’s… It’s like you said. I get bored easily. I saw him at the park a couple weeks after they played Nationals and called him a perfect little tyrant, and he pestered me into spending time with him after,” Tooru says. “I’m not a monster, Iwa-chan. If he wants the company of his cool, handsome ex-upperclassman that badly, who am I to begrudge him?”
Or: Oikawa doesn't know why Kageyama keeps asking to meet him on Saturdays. He also doesn't know why he keeps saying yes.
(The fact this fic is canon-compliant and covers post-canon too makes me want to shout to the heavens. Fucking incredible! One of the best Oikakage fics ever and it's a crime how it's not at the top of the ship tag. Please please read!!)
twist into your shape by kakkoweeb
Ship: Oikawa/Kageyama
The only thing better than sweets were sweets containing paper that told you whether your future would be good or bad--or in Kageyama and Oikawa's case, paper that somehow caused you to live inside each other's bodies.
(Everyone probably already read this fic but it needs to be said, you need to read this fic. How these two try and manage each other's lives and slowly start to care about one another is so beautiful and sincere and I am ready to wrestle anyone to the floor and comply them into reading this fic. Doesn't matter if you like the ship, you will become a fan if you read it, I promise. Please please read!!)
Take the Long Road Home by pepperfield
Ship: Kuroo/Sawamura
When Azumane Asahi goes missing before his engagement meeting with Kozume Kenma, what other option is there but for Daichi to impersonate his brother and fake his way through a first date with Asahi's fiance?
Okay, let's be realistic - there were probably at least four other options.
Unfortunately, Tetsurou couldn't come up with any of them either, so now he's here flirting with Kenma's future husband while trying to keep his web of deceit from collapsing.
It's going to be an eventful day.
(I got obsessed with this ship alongside Oikakage and SO WILL YOU. THE POTENTIAL. THE BANTER. THE FACT THEY'RE BOTH DORKS AND THE FIC HAS IDENTITY SHENANIGANS DANCING ALL OVER IT!! I had so much fun reading this and these two are MEANT TO BE FENIWPAF. If you don't see the potential of this ship, you will now.)

Kuroo doesn’t fall in love hard and fast like many others do – he falls slowly, and very very softly. Most of the times he doesn’t even realise he’s in love with someone until it’s too late.

Ship: Daishou/Kuroo
Kuroo nearly lived a Daishou-free life, and sometimes he looked back and wondered how much better and how much worse that would've been.
(I didn't even know who Daishou was until I read this fic and now I can't unsee the potential this ship has. I'm a ruined woman and I regret NOTHING.)

Ship: Oikawa/Kageyama
Upon arriving at the train station of death, an impure soul is granted a second chance at life against his will. Reincarnating into the body of Kageyama Tobio, a 15-year-old boy who recently committed suicide. Tobio's soul will depart at death and the soul needs to slip in to replace it. If the soul's reformation succeeds, he’ll reenter the cycle of rebirth and regain the right to be reborn. He will have three months to accomplish this task.
“Even though you had enough of life,” the soul whispered into the void of the room, “you were still afraid to hurt your hands, Tobio.”
Afraid of giving himself a scar, if he survived.
He touched his pulse and grasped life and couldn’t help but pity Kageyama Tobio.
"You wanted to die and now I’m here making you live again," he whispered into the night.
(I'm not even exaggerating when I say out of all the fics in this entire goddamn, too long list, this is the fic I'm anticipating and heart eyeing the most. It's only starting, but I already cried on chapter fucking 2, the power of this fic, holy shit. The author also wrote the hq time loop Every Tomorrows series, which I have an undying love for and am full on praying for the day it updates, so you KNOW this fic will be just as good. (Anybody who hasn't read this series, where the hell have you been?? Read it!!) Just, everything about this fic hurts me and something in my chest just aches when I read this fic. Go into it blind with an open heart and I swear to you, it's going to change your life. I'm already calling it. Seriously though, please please read!)

Learning to Fly by Asteroid_Duck (JustThatOneGirl1815)
Fandoms: Boku no Hero Academia, Naruto
The number three hero is a walking (well, flying) contradiction in every sense of the word. This includes his teaching skills. Why had Tokoyami agreed to this internship again? Oh right. He’d thought he was actually going to learn something. …….remind him to never be so optimistic again. . . . OR, Kakashi Hatake is reincarnated as the pro hero, Hawks. Tokoyami Fumikage suffers as a result.
(The reincarnation fic I never thought I needed and it's so good!! I've never really paid attention to Tokoyami and this fic sent me headfirst into loving him. Their dynamic is so interesting and I just love how their relationship develops. Also, Kakashi trolling the poor kid made me cackle, it's great! Definitely recommend it!)

Fandoms: Boku no Hero Academia, John Wick
Everything has a price. That's what John has always known and will forever remember, even in death.
Which is pretty ironic considering his current circumstance.
Instead of a grown, scarred, weary body belonging to a man as cruel and broken as him, he's inhabiting a younger, smaller, unblemished one belonging to a child with strangely colored hair, and is living in what seems to be a superhuman society.
Well. May it never be said that John isn't a strategist. He can live with this. Maybe.
(Somewhere out there in the universe, he's certain he could hear the laughter of his enemies from beyond the grave.)
-
Or: John Wick is reincarnated as Midoriya Izuku. The world should probably watch its back.
(This should be one of the crackiest fics I've read in a while, but it's taken so seriously and I'm so HERE FOR THIS. John Wick being John Wick in a world of quirks and heroes is the GREATEST, honestly, he's so badass. Bakugou, I feel for you, you must be so fucking confused lol. Bakugou trying his best to be a good friend is one of the best things about this fic. Trust me, this fic will make your day, promise!)

Fandoms: Naruto, Fairy Tail
Natsu wakes up in Sakura's body. It only gets worse from there. Also known as: In Which Natsu has No Idea what to do with Boobs.
(I binged this in two fucking days, I couldn't put it down. This fic reminded me why I liked fairy tail when I was younger and why Natsu is honestly such a great protagonist, god. And the fic does that thing, you know, the Thing where when two worlds collide, the characters struggle to acclimate and adapt to a completely another world with different rules and mindsets against their own. This fic is seriously one of the best when it comes to that aspect, it's incredible. I am going absolutely feral over here for this fic to update, I'm waiting in the wings, ready to pounce like a tiger, all the metaphors man. For the love of god, read this fic.)
Give me a landscape made of obstacles by Melise
Fandoms: Naruto, Natsume's Book of Friends
Kakashi Hatake isn’t who he says he is.
Because the truth is that he’s actually a youkai in disguise, a wolf spirit named Madara who stumbled across the Hatake clan during the Warring States Period. Intrigued by the shinobi he saw, he’d proposed a temporary alliance in which he would offer the clan protection in exchange for their teachings.
Decades later, Madara is surprised to find himself inadvertently summoned to Konoha by the last living member of the Hatake clan. Sakumo Hatake, who is mourning the recent deaths of his wife and stillborn child, doesn’t want to be alone anymore. So with his permission, Madara takes the place of Sakumo’s deceased son in order to watch over the last Hatake.
(Fusion in which the youkai of Natsume’s Book of Friends all exist in the Naruto world. No knowledge of Natsume’s Book of Friends required).
(Before this fic, I only had a very vague idea of what Natsume's Book of Friends was, and honestly, I still don't know much about it. But I didn't really need to know to get into this fic. I love the worldbuilding and the relationships Kakashi forms, both supernatural and mortal. I love how Kakashi's inhumane ways affect others around him, whether to stress them out or become used to the strange. You can go straight into this fic without knowing anything and absolutely still have a fantastic time. I definitely recommend this so please read!)

Chapter Two
Tell me why do you cry dear? I cry for those who lost the fight, the fight for life and silently went into the night.
Six months since the truth was discovered by Shikamaru or partial half the truth. Shikamaru learned that those in the beginning of his clan that they had hidden most or partial pieces of the truth, scattered it in other scrolls and hidden coded message added upon by those who saw behind the facade like those before them. He is also learning about what it means to be marked by Darkness, sighing softly as he feels an on coming headache coming from this train of though that still runs him in circles. Lifting himself out of bed, he decided to forgo taking a shower, as he has already taken one last night. Getting a dress and brushing his hair before throwing it in a ponytail creeping slowly down the stairs to the kitchen seeing his mother making breakfast he eyed her before sitting down making noise spooking her before laughing when she saw her son sitting there with a bored “Okaa-chan can I go over Choji’s or to the park to go cloud watching? I will be home before dinner?” He looked up at her, hoping she would trust him by himself, he knew if she didn’t he wouldn’t be able to sneak over to meet Naruto.
He stilled himself as she thought about it, Shikamaru may be young but a responsible boy already and hardly ever asked for anything. “Okay Shika-chan you can go out but be back before it gets to dark.” She smiled at his happiness before placing a simple breakfast for him and joined him. “Thank you Okaa-chan.” He mumbles before eating not fast but damn near close enough for him, he was planning to meet Naruto and the others at his apartment while Hinata and him were in the same boat on escaping their clan or guard to meet and how hard it was they still would let the others know somehow. Hinata would tap a codded message with her index fingers together or send Neji if she could or couldn’t meet. Shikamaru used different color hair ties if he could or couldn’t, he hoped soon he would learn another way of getting information to the group, for now at their level this would do, but as they got older it wouldn’t last.
Finishing breakfast he got up and washed his bowel and went to the front door slipping his shoes on and left. He breathe to relax his mind and body before walking out of his clan compound. He at first walked as if he was going to the park, while spreading a little chakra into the darkness to see where the others were. Naruto was home, Sasuke was making his way to the meeting, Sakura was as well and Hinata he could faintly tell was still at her home. Grimacing at that, but he knew she would let them know somehow if she couldn’t show. Sneaking his way to the red-light district was not hard per-say but not as easy if you were recognizable, he slipped his hair tie out letting his shoulder blade length hair fall down, he took his little jacket off and turned it inside out to hide his clan symbol. For now this would have to do, he kept to the back ally and less populated area, trying to make himself seem small and a street kid sneaking around. Soon he was there across from Naruto Apartment. Trying to sense for anyone nearby that could be watching before darting in and hurrying to the apartment.
Once in the building, Shikamaru relaxed a little as he went up the flight of stairs trying to ignore the words written across the walls. Once he finally arrived at the door he knocked hearing some movements and the door open a crack the most beautiful crystal like blue eye stared at him before opening the door the rest of the way as Naruto beaming smile greeted him, a part of Shikamaru felt like squinting feeling like he is staring in the sun. “Shika you arrived finally. Sakura and Sasuke are already here.” He nodded and stepped in, he completely relaxed as he stepped in and made his way to the couch, sitting down around the others. “Okay, what are we doing today besides training of course? Did anyone get anymore information or update on when we will be joining the Academy?” It was already talked about, but they wanted to try and join the academy at the same time, so they could still be around each other and plan for the future they were still unsure of.
“I asked the old man, and he agreed to put me in the academy on my next birthday,” Naruto sat leaning against Shikamaru legs, without a though to it Shikamaru started to run his fingers through Naruto hair noting how soft it was. Naruto froze before relaxing into the gentle touch it wasn’t the first time anyone in their group touched him in kindness, but it was the first for Shikamaru, usually Naruto would have to initiate anything or hint at something. Naruto thought to himself that maybe he liked Shikamaru touch the best. Sakura frown a bit, “My parents hasn’t been home in a week, but I am sure I can get one of them to sign off on it when they do decide to come home. They will probably another way to get rid of me.” She closed her eyes and lean against Shikamaru as if asking for silent support, which Shikamaru didn’t mind resting his head against hers. Sasuke growled a little at the comment, wishing to set his little sister parents on fire. “Sakura we are going to find a way to get you away from them, I can probably convince the council to let me join the academy around Hinata time, she wanted me to let you guys know her father will get her in around my birthday or if late her own birthday in December if anything popped up and she will be here closer to noon as she has training right now.”
Shikamaru frowned at that they all knew that meant that she will be bruised and injured from fighting her own father who never held back. “I hope we have enough in the first aid kit after mine and sasuke training in our clan clan art, Troublesome, I will be added in the academy with Ino and Choji so i will be there. We just need to fix our schedule to Academy, training and training on our own along with studying. We also need to rotate each day and make the weekend ours. Furthermore, we need to keep up the appearance that we don’t know each other so no one starts to question us. We should also look for allies and other outcast to join us, and only tell them the truth when they can be proven that they are trustworthy.”
Everyone agreed that they need to work on the schedule and draw it up before moving as Sakura went to check the first ad, Sasuke got up to grab some things he brought from the Uchiha clan to study over and show the others. Naruto moved to grab some scrolls he wanted to study that talked about the sealing art. Shikamaru moved over next to Naruto and was reading the scroll he kept with him, that open him to the truth and taught him about the Darkness he now control. He soon rested his head on Naruto shoulder feeling the warmth that Naruto emitted and the listening to the sound of others moving or rustling of scrolls and paper coaxed him to a light doze.
He woke to see himself in a bed and the noised that woke him was Hinata soft greeting carrying from the living to the bedroom. Looking around, he realized that he was in Naruto room, the walls had paint chips flexing off with words poorly covered up with paint that didn’t quite hide what they said. A plant barely hanging onto life next to a broken window and an old broken wardrobe holding itself together by a prayer. Shikamaru heart clinched, but he didn’t pity Naruto, knowing the other he would be annoyed and pissed off if they pity him. Moving off the bed and remaking it. He walked back to the others, still rubbing the last bit of sleep out of his eyes. “Okaeri Nata-chan,” He mumbles out, not truly thinking of his words, just making his way to the couch. He didn’t notice the others stopping what they were doing to look at him, while they although of each other as a family and friends, none of them openly admitted besides Naruto and Sakura calling each other siblings. Shikamaru literally just welcome Hinata as if this was all of their home and shorten her name in a friendly way showing how he felt At that moment where the peace and safety and comfort around their group loosen his tongue.
Hinata smiled softly before moving over to Sakura who was waiting for her with the first aid kit and updated her along the way. Finish getting bandage up she moved over to Shika and lift his legs up and sat down letting his legs rest on her lap as the others moved over to them. “I think we should train our taijutsu first then and then work on our chakra. What does Kyu-sensei think about that?” They looked at Naruto, waiting for his answer, “He agrees, but he also wants to go over chakra theory and chakra control as well.” They nodded packing and hiding their things in the loose floor board under the couch, mumbling needing to find a way to hide thing better or carry less on them. Once all done they hid out in small number and then in separate direction that would lead them to their second spot hidden in a base of a hollowed out space of a tree where a plastic bags were a change of clothes that they all could train in. They would rotate them and replace them with clean one, but otherwise they stayed in there. Each one of them grabbed a set and went behind respected trees to change before meeting back in the center and started to run thru their kata Sasuke teaching Sakura one that he found and helped her thru them. Once they finished they paired up with one another to while Hinata sat off to the side and watched, noting any mistake and what need to worked on.
Shikamaru could feel how stiff and restrictive the movement of the Kata was for him, It just didn’t feel right for him. He frown he knew this was his problem but when he watched everyone in his clan it seem like it was right but for him it made him feel wrong like he was moving through mud. He glanced at the others and watch how sasuke move gracefully as he fought Naruto who dodged as if they were dancing. It would be him and Sakura next, He would have to find a fighting style that fit him soon or he would hinder himself in the long run. When it was Sakura and his turn they bowed toward each other before getting in their fighting stance, he eyed sakura waiting for her to make the first move as soon as he saw her adjust herself as if to lanch cocking her left arm back to throw a punch he moved sticking to defense waiting for a open in be tween her blow, as soon as he saw one he took it moving in close slipped between her arms stuck a leg between hers to trip her and pinned her arms to the ground. He winched while he tried to dodge some of her blows some still landed.
They all rested for a fifteen-minute break before Shikamaru with Sakura and Hinata went over chakra theory (Kurama would interrupt via Naruto to correct anything that the books didn’t cover.) and basic chakra control training. All five of them tried to walk up a tree, Sakura was the first one to at least make it to the middle before slipping as her reserves were the smallest Hinata and Shikamaru could go longer before getting somewhat tired and Sasuke and Naruto struggle but only because their chakra pool were large then the other three. They kept at it for the next two weeks until they got it down and worked to build the other three chakra reserves.
During the time, Hinata mention that Neji made a friend name Rock Lee who seemed to be a Taijutsu prodigy, but that couldn’t use Chakra. They were all interested as Neji would help when he could, but that the Clan kept a watch on him more so because he was a prodigy of their clan technique. “We could have each one of us watch him for the week and make a dissension to add him to our group if we all agree that he fits?” Sakura suggested, Naruto frown “It wouldn’t hurt Naruto, think of it as another per of eyes and ears Rock Lee could help us.” Shikamaru spoke up when it look like Naruto might shut down the ideal. Hinata shot him a thankful look, and Sakura nodded her head. It would have been annoying otherwise if Shikamaru didn’t speak up.
Naruto glanced at Shikamaru before looking at Sasuke who also nodded at Naruto, sighing softly as Naruto gave his agreement. “Fine, but we wait on including him on anything important until we know what he thinks of the village and the people.” Nodding, they figure that Sasuke should take Monday Hinata Tuesday Sakura Wednesday Naruto Thursday and Shikamaru Friday. Friday was perfect, as he would spend it hanging out with Choji, and it wouldn’t seem weird if Choji and Shikamaru were walking around the village. Hinata gave the information that Neji had gathered about the boy location and hang out, and that he seemed to think of Neji as a rival.
They all observed Lee for the week, each one of them making their own observation of him as they watched over him seeing how ninja’s from their village made fun of him and the children tormented him, telling him that he couldn’t possibly be a ninja as he couldn’t even access his chakra. It annoyed them and sometime down right made their blood boil. It was stupid as sometime the most deadly thing didn’t even require them to use their chakra, yes it helped, but if you were cut off from chakra by an enemy the only thing you had left was your weapons and body to fight. Chakra wasn’t everything in a ninja life yes it made their job and work easy, but you have to train everything in your skill or become lazy and complacent and those are the type that never make it or dies on their first mission.
Meeting up on Saturday was a bit hard on him but Shikamaru manage to escape using a excused about meeting with some other kids to play around, Making it to Naruto’s was even worse than everyone and their mom wanted to be out, “What is it a holiday or something can’t these people stay in their house and mind their damn business?” mumbling to himself but finally arriving and knocked to be let in. Slipping in when he heard Naruto unlock the door, sweeping his gaze around as he always does to check to see if anything new has been done to his blond friend. Hinata will be bringing over Rock Lee with Neji to introduce him to the group and learn his opinion on this accursed world.
Hinata arrived shortly before her cousin and his friend/rival, then Sakura and finally Sasuke. “Lee, these are some of my friends, I think you will get along with them.” Naruto waves, Sakura smiled, Hinata nodded her head, Shikamaru gave a lazy yo and Sasuke just looked at him bored. “Yosh I am Lee Rock, it is a pleasure to meet you all!” Lee announced making Shikamaru winch with how loud he was. While Naruto may be loud and when Sakura got furious she could be loud, but usually for his shake they would tamper it down for his shake as he got a bit anxious from the noise. Naruto and Sasuke subtly asked Lee about his thoughts and opinion of the villager and such to get a gage on his emotions and feelings.
As the weeks passed, and they were all still learning about Rock Lee, they included him in their training and would try to help him overcome the handicap of not being able to use Chakra while Neji would try to help his friend with the studying aspect, they began to see Lee change how he would stare angrily at some ninja and glare at some other children. One day they came to see Lee already training, how his hands and feet were bruised and bloody as he pounded away at one of the trees, tears streaming down his face as he worked harder and harder till he had to stop. Sakura silently drifted over to him, “Lee-kun can I bandage your hands, and we have to look at your leg and feet.” He barely nodded just looking up at the sky from where he fell, everyone sat around him, “You don’t have to tell us, but we will be here to listen if you want.” Shikamaru spoke up in a comforting voice.
Lee stayed quiet for a bit before finally speaking as Sakura finish wrapping both hands. “D-do you think it's wrong to feel such anger and resentment to the people who doubt you and belittle your dream just because you are different from them. I-i know I can’t do some things you guys can, but I can achieve just as much if I train just as hard. But every day I hear them whisper and mock me and I get angry….” Shikamaru frown before patting Lee head, glancing at Naruto before he spoke up, “People are nothing but a medium of the general process of carrying out life. Love and hate are two sides of the same coin, those people choose to hate or hurt you because you represent resilience, something they can neither understand nor truly break. Reality is an ugly truth and when you truly wake up to it, you can start to see the cracks in the foundation and how people are sheep following the example set by those around them.” Shikamaru paused, taking a breath before continuing “But us, we take care of our own and will one day show the truth Lee but if you know the truth you can never talk about it or tell. Not yet, we aren’t strong enough.” Lee looked at them, seeing for the first time how each of them was a different broken piece that seem to fit with the others, how at time they seemed so grown up and others children working hard. He realized, like him, they too were out cast judge and hurt. He thought about his time with them and how they tried to include and add him in to things they were doing, how Neji brought him to them, so he wouldn’t be alone. He may not fully understand, but he is sure he will, and decided to put his trust in them. “You guys can tell me when you think I am ready, but I will try to help you as much as I can.” He swore to them and himself to never let them down again

Stars (ao3/ffn) catflorist warning: major character death
Sasuke joined the Akatsuki for simple reasons. He heard they had a plan to destroy the shinobi world, and he wanted a part of it.
As a blizzard raged in the cold northern air, he followed a dark-robed figure into a passageway carved into the cliffside of a snow-capped mountain. The tunnel twisted and turned, snaking past cavernous rooms and rocky chambers. Akatsuki forces milled about everywhere, red clouds hovering on dark cloaks everywhere he looked. His guide, Konan, led him past without stopping.
“Where are you taking me?”
“To our leader,” Konan said, leading him deeper. “She says she knows you.”
He was sure they were halfway through the mountain before she stopped by a metal door.
“Wait here.”
She knocked and the door opened a crack. Whispered words were exchanged, too low for Sasuke to overhear.
“You’ll have to wait,” Konan said. “She's still bathing.”
Sasuke was annoyed. Why was Karin going through these theatrics? He hadn’t seen her for months, not since disbanded the team and left to face Itachi alone. How she’d ended up in the Akatsuki he couldn't guess. Not only that, she somehow had all of them tiptoeing around her.
“Tell Karin I don't have time to wait,” he snapped.
Konan gave him a curious look, but stayed silent.
“What?”
“Enter,” a voice called from inside. The way it echoed off the rock, it didn't sound like Karin’s voice at all.
He stormed in. Torches lit the dark room in a flickering glow, and the air felt warm. A shadowed figure rose from a steaming pool of water. An attendant held out a billowing Akatsuki robe, helping guide arms through sleeves.
When the light caught her face, shock ripped through him. Because it wasn’t Karin.
Her pink hair was dripping wet, her cheeks hollowed. She pulled on glasses over red-rimmed eyes pinched with pain, the green irises huge beneath the thick lenses. The dark robe slipped off bare, bony shoulders—was that all she was wearing? He averted his eyes, stared at the steam curled in the air. His guard down, his chakra stretched out to meet hers of its own accord. But there was nothing.
He recoiled. How was that possible? She should be dead.
A diamond mark on her forehead pulsed like the core of a star, the only part of her with any vitality, energy. That and her eyes—they were still bright and sharp. The rest was fading.
“It's good to see you,” Sakura said.
.
.
It didn’t take long for Sasuke to understand. The chakra stored in Sakura’s seal was all that kept her alive, and one day it would run out.
At the same time, it all depended on her, it seemed, the meticulously planned attack on the shinobi world. She was its life force. Every ounce of her remaining chakra was rationed and monitored, planned in advance for that day. It was all anyone talked about, the reason why heads lowered in respect when speaking Sakura’s name.
To fill his time Sasuke accepted mission after mission. He brought back intel, took out troublesome political figures, and weakened supply chains, doing anything they asked of him to prepare for the attack on Konoha, three months away.
He avoided Sakura.
One night Konan pushed aside the curtain hanging in the door of his small chamber, an alcove in the stone set apart from the other Akatsuki members. “You’re back. What was it this time?”
“We intercepted a shipment of weapons,” he said. “They’re waiting in the meeting room.”
“When do you set out again?”
“I don’t know yet. What do you want?”
Konan met his eyes. “She wants to see you.”
He crossed his arms. “Tell her I'm busy.”
“You think you’re so important,” she said in that calm, mild way of hers. “You wouldn’t act this way, if you truly understood the magnitude of what she’s doing for us. For the world.”
Overcome with sudden anger, Sasuke forgot he came to the Akatsuki willingly, that each day he helped advance its mission. That he too hated what their world had done to his family.
“It's all for nothing!” he spat. “You’re throwing her away. For nothing.”
“You’re selfish. It’s no wonder you don’t understand sacrifice.”
He grit his teeth. “Find another way.”
“She’s dying already,” she said. “She’s just making something from the time she has left. What have you done with your life?”
Sakura was frozen. Dying. Sasuke pictured her in a land of ice, the snowy expanse that surrounded the mountain lit by a weak and wintery sun. Perhaps she could stretch her life a few years, each day lighting her chakra no brighter than a candle’s fire, barely warming her hands in the cold.
Instead she would burn up all at once, quick and hot and bright, like an exploding star, and maybe something would grow after the flames cooled. Fire always led to life in some way after all. She would not wait to freeze to death.
“Go away,” Sasuke snarled. The curtain was already flapping in the doorway.
.
.
Sasuke stormed through the hideout after a botched assignment. What should have been a simple scouting mission had turned into a bloodbath after a surprise ambush. The hidden villages were growing more hostile and clever as the day of the attack drew nearer.
He didn’t pay attention to his loud footsteps, the eyes following him in fear, until a figure darted into his path. One of Sakura’s attendants, blocking his way with an outstretched arm, a finger held to her lips.
“What?”
“She's asleep.” Her voice was hushed, like discussing a sleeping god. Not his old, annoying pink-haired teammate.
Sasuke stepped back. “So?”
“It's the first time in three days.”
Sasuke realized the hideout was utterly quiet except for their conversation. If he listened hard enough he might hear snow falling outside.
An old memory flashed through him. When they were genin, taking missions as a team, how much Sakura hated waking up in the morning. She’d groan and clutch her pillow, though she’d always get up and help him with their breakfast anyway. That Sakura would never struggle to fall asleep for three days. How things had changed.
Sasuke knew when she woke up, because the deathly silence in the compound lifted. Foot traffic picked up again, the scent of cooking food from the mess hall drifted through the halls.
He walked down the twisted passageway to the metal door, following the route he’d memorized, though he hadn’t ventured this way since Konan led him the first time. He pushed open the doors without knocking.
A wide futon was spread on the ground, where Sakura lay against soft pillows. Her eyes were closed, but he could tell from the stiffness of her shoulders that she was awake.
“Sakura,” he said.
Her head turned, set deep in the pillows like it held a heavy weight. She did not look surprised to see him, did not ask why he’d avoided her for weeks. “Sit down.”
With some reluctance, he lowered himself on the edge of the futon. Steam curled in the air, and water gurgled somewhere hidden, feeding the spring. Beneath the blanket, Sakura’s legs shifted gingerly.
“What happened to you?” he said.
“It’s this world,” she said. “Person after person, sent out to get killed. To protect someone else’s money, or goods, or to fight in pointless wars. And the survivors, they sent them all to me. It never ended.”
She closed her eyes again. “I healed, and healed, until something inside me broke. I couldn’t make chakra anymore. Without my seal I would have died then and there.”
Without meaning to, Sasuke’s hand stretched out, brushing her forehead, where the mark lay. Her brow was feverishly hot.
“That’s nice,” she whispered. He was about to pull away, but his fingers changed course, trailing into her hair, drawing a sigh. He didn’t know what to do. It was a long time since he’d tried to be gentle. He tried to think of what he liked as a child, the comforting touches he received from his mother, or Itachi, a lifetime ago.
When he finally lifted his hand, the cords of her neck seemed less tense, her head less heavy on the pillow.
She exhaled. “I was dying. I’d given everything away, but still they wanted more. That’s why I’m here. The way this world is, it can’t go on. Everything I have left is going into changing it.”
“This world won’t change,” he muttered.
A thin arm emerged from the blankets, fumbling at her bedside for her glasses. She slipped the frames on, appraising him with large eyes. “Then why are you here?”
.
.
This new Sakura was a stranger in many ways. She carried herself with a quiet calmness, a stillness, like she’d lived longer than her years. When she walked down the corridors of the hideout, heads bowed. At gatherings, she barely needed to speak louder than a whisper, because everyone listening hung onto her every word.
Knowing she favored him, the members of the Akatsuki looked differently at Sasuke, too. They brought him into their meeting rooms, seeking his advice and ideas. He learned why each of them wanted to destroy the shinobi system. Its claws had harmed others beyond himself. He started to believe they could truly build something new. Something better, that would never force older brothers into cruel and heartless choices.
When Sasuke returned from a mission he found Sakura sitting on a ledge under the stars, snow gently falling around her. They were high up on the mountain, but the sky was white and hazy in all directions, so he could barely tell where they were or what lay in the distance beyond the haze.
“What are you doing out here? It’s cold.”
“I like the fresh air.”
He sat next to her, knowing it was useless to argue. Everyone knew Sakura did as she wanted.
“My father used to use his katon on days like this. His fireball was strong enough to span the whole length of the lake. But when it was cold, he used it to warm his breath.”
“Show me,” she said.
His hands shaped the quick signs. When he exhaled, a soft puff of fire curled out, a flash of red and orange warming their icy surroundings. “Like this.”
Sakura watched him with furrowed brows. “Can you teach me?”
“Yes, but…” He stopped, tried again. “You can’t...”
“I can’t use my chakra,” she said. “But I can still learn.”
He took her hands. “Serpent, ram, monkey, boar, horse, tiger.” He didn’t need to, but he shaped her fingers through the signs. “Pull the chakra into your throat. Let it churn. Exhale.”
Sakura mimed the signs, paused in concentration so the chakra could build. Of course, it was only pretend. She exhaled. Her cold breath hung in the air, the furthest thing from fire.
“Thank you. I understand now. Your katon always fascinated me.” She opened her eyes. “Once, I saw you practicing in the distance. I secretly hoped, one day, you would teach me yourself.”
Bitterness filled him. “Not like this.”
“This is enough,” she said, her voice kind.
He thought about young Sakura—energetic and talkative, irritating, nervous around him. He pictured her, watching as he exhaled fire, wishing. The way her voice sounded as she spoke to his back, because he didn’t have the strength to turn and look at her, begging him to stay, or to take her with him.
“Did you mean what you said? The night I left?”
For once she didn’t meet his eyes. “That I loved you? Yes, I meant it.” Then her calm returned. “I’m glad you’ve thought about it since then.”
He felt the urge to throw her off guard, to catch a glimpse of the girl from his memories.
“You still love me,” he accused.
Her eyes seemed to sadden. She touched his face, her hand growing warm. He wrenched away, but it was too late. A cut on his cheek was healed.
He held his cheek like she had burned him. “What are you thinking?”
“I’m in control. I know how much I have left. Shouldn’t I be able to do what I want with it?”
Her hand remained outstretched. He gripped her wrist tightly, so tight it must hurt, and threw it away from himself.
“Don’t ever do that again.”
.
.
“Why are you always bathing?” Sasuke asked her once.
Shameless, she stood up in the bath, reaching for her robe. He tried very hard to ignore her body, only glancing up when he was sure the robe was around her. The front hung loose, only her hand clasping it together.
“It hurts less in the water.”
Her eyes always gave everything away. Even when they were kids. They said everything she was thinking. When he met her eyes now, he was dazed to find unguarded curiosity, desire. The difference now was she put it bluntly to words.
“Haven't you wondered?” she said.
He would be lying if he said he hadn’t. He was wondering now, painfully aware of how his body was reacting to her there, so close, so easy to touch.
“It doesn't matter,” he said. “You’re—you’re sick.” Dying. But he couldn't say that. “I could hurt you.”
“I've never been as fragile as you thought I was.”
She let the cloak slip. It draped down low, revealing the narrow expanse from the hollow of her throat to the space between her breasts. Sasuke heard a small noise escape his throat, a strangled cry. And he was crossing the room, because he couldn't refuse her, not when it was something he also wanted so badly. Each footfall shed away the time and distance built up between them, laying in his wake like shed layers, so by the time he got to her he already felt naked.
He walked straight into her touch, her palm pressing against his heart, the other curling around his nape. He slipped her glasses off, let them fall, secretly hoping they’d break on the stone ground. He hated them.
In the dark, as he leaned in to kiss her, he could almost imagine they were somewhere else. In a soft bedroom, in a life they lived together, elsewhere. But he could not ignore the echoes sounding off the rock walls, the feeling of emptiness handing over their heads, the cold pressing in.
.
.
Sasuke stared up at the sky, his back to the dirt.
Around him, battle was waging. The day they’d all been waiting for, fueled with Sakura’s remaining chakra, was almost over. He didn’t know which way the tide was pulling now. He could only feel the hole in his side and know for him it was over.
When he next opened his eyes, everything was green, like he was lying on the forest floor. It wasn’t what he expected death to be like. But Sakura was there, leaning over him. He smiled, washed with relief. At least, even in this place, they had found each other. It was such a comfort, it didn’t matter to him what happened next.
He tried to sit up, and pain tore through him, though it was fading quickly. His eyelids drooped. Sakura’s hands shifted across his body, so warm.
“Can I go back to sleep?” he mumbled.
She cupped his cheek. “Yes, my love.”
He almost listened to her, but strange sounds reached his ears. Metal clashing, screaming. He cracked open his heavy eyes. A body lay close by, red staining the ground beneath. Above him, Sakura’s face was streaked with dirt and tears.
“What are you doing?” he hissed.
“My part is over,” she said, hands rooted to his chest like an ancient tree to the earth, unwavering and sure. “I have some left. Just enough.”
His body rippled with an electric shock. “Don’t, Sakura!”
He struggled to move, but she held him down with an iron grip.
“Just take it!” she cried. “What else would I do with it?”
It was always coming to this, he knew. But he wasn’t ready. He needed her to stay just a little longer. There was so much he still needed to tell her.
“One more day,” he begged. “You could stay just one more day.”
Her green eyes were like a storm, and as she steamed the last of her chakra into him, she didn’t look like she was dying. She looked as strong as he remembered. “If I stop now you’ll die.”
That night, when he left the village, he should have taken her with him. Taken her far, far, away. Why had he left her there? What use were his prized eyes and Uchiha blood if he couldn’t see the right choice to make?
“Don't leave,” he gasped. It was hard to see her, tears blurring his vision. “Please don't leave.”
Her hands softly slipped from his chest. “It’s okay, Sasuke-kun.” Her voice came from far away. “Just go back to sleep.”
The mark faded from her forehead like a star at dawn.
.
.
Konoha fell. The world was raw and overturned. Burning, and growing, and burning, and growing. One day, Sasuke would want to see it. For now he returned to the mountain, to Sakura’s pool.
He floated in the water, weightless, aching with the life she’d given him.

____________________________________
Her day begins and ends the same way every other day the past year seemed to - with Sakura walking into the hospital with a confident spring to her step and a brightness in her eyes and dragging herself out (on the rare day she had the energy to pry herself from her desk) with antiseptic or blood or a mix of the two staining her hands and the lab coat she'd forgotten to peel off.
Tonight, Sakura consciously decides not to make the effort to drag herself out of the hospital. Leaving means she'll be roped into the birthday party Ino's been planning for Sai for months, and she doesn't quite have the energy to even shower, let alone paste a convincing smile on her lips.
She spares a glance at the old clock posted right above the chalkboard in her office as she shuffles in and locks the door behind her.
8:00PM.
Fourteen hours since Naruto shook her awake and thrust her straight into a day from hell.
It's still a little too early for anyone to come looking for her yet. Naruto will notice that she's not at the bar right when he arrives, but Hinata will patiently remind him of the shitshow that was today and reason that Sakura's still probably dealing with the aftermath. (In much less colorful terms, of course; Sakura's only heard her friend curse a handful of times, none of which were in front of Naruto.) That'll buy her about an hour before Ino starts making a fuss and sends Sai or Kiba out to Sakura's apartment.
If she's not there, they'll assume she's still at the hospital, and they won't come back until it's close to midnight. Not today. Not after seeing the hallways lined with burn victims pleading for someone to find their loved ones. Not after returning home and finding that the stench of charred skin and blood isn't so easy to wash out of their clothes.
Sakura didn't get to leave. Her role just changed from a kunoichi dispatched on a rescue mission to the de facto head of the hospital the moment she crossed the threshold.
She pulls the shades in hopes of convincing her friends that she isn't here if they do decide to come looking but stops short in front of the light switch. The migraine between her temples screams for her to turn the fluorescents off, but she doesn't trust her mind not to see death in the shadows of her office tonight.
She turns them off anyways.
It isn't until she's sitting criss-cross on her floor with her too-full bookshelf at her back and a bottle of sake in her hand that Sakura realizes her hands are trembling. A splash of sake makes its way onto her carpet instead of into her cup, and she curses because it's good sake - the expensive kind that Tsunade bought her a case of after the war and no no no.
She cuts that thought there because violent memories of the war, or rather the days immediately following the war, have been intruding into her mind all day and she just can't.
A case or so of sake should knock her and those thoughts right out (or so she hopes). Years of honing her skills as a medic nin have given her a certain resistance to toxins, including alcohol, and it's why she doesn't bother to drink most of the time; social drinking is more of a waste of money than anything else. She figures that's precisely why her mentor gave her an entire case as a gift.
It isn't until she's two bottles in and there's a buzzed lightness to her body that she realizes she's crying.
Her breath seems to come faster and faster, shallower and shallower, and she wonders if the buzz and creeping, cold numbness in her fingers is because of the alcohol or the lack of oxygen. She's shivering, muscles tensed to the point of pain, but she blames it on the chill of the hospital.
Another glass will knock the cold right out. At least, that's what Tsunade used to say when she drank away the ghosts that forced themselves a little too close to the front of her mind.
It's a few glasses later that Sakura starts seeing the eyes of the dead staring back at her from the shadows at the edges of her office. She's back on the battlefield, the same smell of burnt skin and the mournful cries of shinobi finally processing the deaths of their comrades hanging in the air. She's been healing for days, but she continues to push. The fighting may be over but there are still identities to confirm, survivors to heal, and families to be notified.
Sakura knew that death was part of her job description from her days in the Academy; protecting the interests of the village often required it. Tsunade had let her figure out that the same was true of her job as a medic on her own, when she lost her first patient at fifteen. She'd learned to put the deaths she dealt with in a neat little box which she deadbolted and tossed on a shelf in the deepest recess of her mind she could find.
But death was a uniquely stubborn bastard that didn't always like to stay in that box.
She'd been awake for the full three days the war had drawn on, but the medical corps was tasked with the brunt of combing through the miles upon miles of dead shinobi for another forty-eight hours or so. They'd had help, but medics were the ones needed throughout to organize, heal, or in the worst possible cases (which Sakura and Shizune handled) show mercy to the shinobi who were alive but long past the point of saving.
Sakura nearly vomits and washes the bile down with more sake. One glass. Another.
The quiet tears have turned into sobs that scratch at her throat and squeeze her lungs. Her nails cut thin crescent moons into her forearms, and her shoulders hunch as if she can ward off the prying eyes. Sakura barely has the presence of mind to activate the silencing seal in her office - the one she keeps on hand when discussing particularly sensitive cases - before her sobs grow into half screams. She can't get enough air to manage much more than a hoarse cry, but if she can just drink fast enough, it shouldn't matter.
And so she cracks open another bottle and brings it directly to her lips, trying to focus on the burn of the alcohol on her throat and Naruto's bright smile reassuring her that everything would be fine when he first found her clutching a bottle of sake in the corner of her disaster of a bedroom.
What she doesn't count on is the alcohol making it increasingly difficult to distinguish reality from the memories that have escaped from her mind and seared themselves into the darkness around her. They become more real, more tangible, until she swears she can hear the fresh widow of a shinobi from Cloud shouting about how Sakura hadn't done enough. Another voice joins until there's a chorus telling her exactly what she feared most:
There shouldn't have been so many casualties. She should have been able to do more.
She was weak.
Her tears stop for a moment when she looks up and sees Sasuke standing in the doorway. For a fraction of a second, she almost feels relieved and tries to move to go to him, but she's reminded none of this is real, and she can't be sure which Sasuke this is. Given her current state of mind, it's probably the one who haunted her nightmares for months after the bridge and still longer after his genjutsu in the war. She takes a swig from the bottle she clenches in her fist and curls back into herself.
Sasuke's repeated calls of her name fall on deaf ears.
For his part, Sasuke is at a loss. He's never seen Sakura like this (and he'd witnessed her tears firsthand on many occasions as genin). Sure, she's always worn her heart on her sleeve and been far too open with her emotions by standard shinobi rules, but she has never seemed so broken.
Looking at the scratch marks that trail down her forearms and the far too many empty bottles of sake for someone of her stature littered on the carpet, Sasuke realizes he doesn't know this woman - and in retrospect, he never should have assumed otherwise.
From her confessions both during the war and when he made the decision to leave her behind yet again, Sasuke knows she's still fiercely loyal and has a light bright enough to forgive and heal anything it touches without her needing to make the conscious choice to do so. Her skills as a shinobi have grown to the point that she could give him a challenge if they were to spar, and he's seen her heal an entire battlefield for days on end while still fighting on the front lines.
She's become more than worthy of the title of the "New Sannin," as the original Team 7 has now been christened, and she still loves him (unreasonably so in his opinion, but he's come to realize that maybe he doesn't want her to change her mind - even if he thinks it would be better for her in the long run). But that's all he knows, and he finds himself wanting to discover more of who Sakura is now.
He has years of absence and cruel actions to make up for, and far more growth beyond that to become someone who deserves the steadfast love she's always been ready to give him.
At the moment, however, he needs to get her to let go of the liquor bottle she clutches onto like a lifeline and refocus on the present. He's been trapped by his past more times than he'll ever admit, and though he hasn't had real comfort since his mother (and Sakura, he amends), he owes it to her to at least try.
Sasuke approaches her slowly, intentionally making his footsteps heavier so that she can hear him approach. Whatever nightmare she's trapped in - he confirmed it wasn't a genjutsu the moment he broke the lock on her door after an unnerving spike in her chakra - she hasn't seemed to notice he's actually here. He bites back the guilt that surfaces at the thought that he could be part of her nightmare, but that's something they can work through later.
He crouches down in front of her, taking a firm hold of the hand that clutches the bottle to try to coax it out of her grip. She jolts at the touch, peeking hesitantly up from her knees with red-rimmed eyes and a mix of tears and sweat coating her cheeks.
"Breathe, Sakura."
Her grip loosens as she meets his eyes. He sees uncertainty waver in her gaze as she hiccups in a short breath, but then the panic snaps back down and tightens her hold on the bottle yet again.
"I- I can't."
The words are stilted, as though forcing out those two words causes her physical pain. Sasuke, however, considers it a small win as it means Sakura's decided he's real. Her breathing is still far too fast, and he knows he needs to stabilize it before she's ready to explain what's happening.
It's awkward - both because Sasuke has never done this and the fact that he hasn't completely sorted through his feelings for his teammate - but he eventually pulls Sakura far enough away from the bookcase that he can shuffle in behind her. He secures his legs around her sides and arranges Sakura so that her back rests on his chest.
It's almost annoying just how snugly Sakura fits against him, her head tucked just below his chin. A part of his mind notes how her curves seem to melt into his frame only to be ruthlessly shoved down. There are priorities, and noting how the boyish (yet annoyingly charming) Sakura has clearly blossomed into a young woman is not one of them.
Where the Sakura from his memories smelled of strawberries and artificial sweetness, the woman in his arms tonight seems as though she's been doused in a pungent blend of antiseptic and ash.
"Breathe, Sakura."
Sasuke repeats Sakura's name to ground her as he starts regulating his own breath: six counts in through the nose, hold, eight counts out through the mouth. He's sure to exaggerate his breaths a bit so Sakura can feel the movement against her back. Hesitantly, his hand comes up to trail over the marks on her forearm. His hands have always been cold, so he figures the one he has left might be able to relieve some of the sting from her nails.
He makes a mental note to pick up some basic medical ninjutsu and doesn't bother to pretend it's just for field injuries.
It takes about ten minutes for Sakura's breathing to return mostly to normal. It still stutters every now and then, but she's matching Sasuke almost breath for breath. She doesn't move away from him, and Sasuke doesn't move to shift her.
As they sit in silence, save for their own breathing, Sasuke realizes he's put himself in a position where he needs to actually start the conversation. There's no bright chatter, no smile to coax him into talking. Again, he's at a loss.
It seems this new Sakura has retained a talent for doing this to him.
Annoying woman.
"Tell me about it."
Sakura immediately shakes her head, breath trembling yet again. Sasuke sighs and guesses he should have known she wasn't going to make this easy for him. He can't blame her. If someone asked him to do the same, he would have told them to fuck off.
"Sakura."
She turns to him with a dangerous look in her eyes, a cold jade that threatens to cut him if he pushes too far. Sasuke's always been the best at serving the very same look, but it's unnerving to see it etched into Sakura's soft features.
"Dammit, Sakura. Just talk to me."
Her gaze grows warmer, but not in the way he wants. She's angry, and Sasuke isn't really sure how he could have pissed her off in just six words. Sakura being Sakura, she of course makes the reason for her anger clear immediately.
"And why the hell do I need to do that, Sasuke?"
Sasuke nearly winces at the dropped suffix on his name and tries to remember how his mother handled it when he refused to confide in her.
"You haven't been here" - even Sakura knows this is unfair as she says it, but the confusion, grief, and alcohol clouding her mind make it difficult to acknowledge how much the man she loves has grown to be able to offer this to her- "and you never told me anything when I asked you to. So fuck off, Sasuke-kun. I'm sure Naruto's expecting you."
Naruto most definitely wasn't, but Sasuke doesn't see the value in pointing that particular fact out. By the time he got to the village and was promptly dragged into the bar he had made the mistake of walking past on his way to the Hokage Tower, the idiot was already drunk off his ass. Ino was as well, so Hinata asked Sasuke if he would mind going to check on Sakura at the hospital since she and Sai needed to stay to take care of their significant others.
Sakura finally moves to get up, tipping over a half-full bottle of sake in her efforts, but Sasuke can still see the tremors in her hands and the familiar strain of a jaw clenched against tears. Her eyes still dart towards the corners of the room.
Sasuke's well aware of the ghosts that can haunt those shadows and resolves to help Sakura put hers to rest, even if it's just for the night. His legs tighten around Sakura before she can fully pull away from him, and she falls back against his chest with a huff and a glare that's more tired than venomous.
Sasuke sighs and lowers his head. His bangs cover his eyes as he decides to voice at least part of the feelings he's managed to process regarding Sakura. He's not sure exactly how to categorize how he feels about her yet (mostly because his mind still can't comprehend why someone so bright has loved him through so much darkness), but he wants to help and that's about all he can offer her at the moment.
She deserves more, so much more, but he hopes it's enough for now.
"I'm here, Sakura."
He wants to add that he's not going anywhere because someone who will stay is only a fraction of what Sakura deserves, but that's not a promise he can make.
He feels Sakura's surprise as she stiffens against him, and her breath stops altogether for a few worrying moments. Sasuke wills himself to stay relaxed at her back, still maintaining a steady breathing pace should she need the rhythm again.
Sakura's thoughts are a whirlwind that she tries to grab ahold of but slips right through her fingers. She's torn, half of her mind shattered glass that urges her to open up and share even a part of her pain so that she can just stop breaking. Sasuke's here, showing his own vulnerability (however slight) in hopes that she'll trust him enough to do the same, and she's not sure when she'll experience this side of him again.
The other half, near-solid stone with only spiderweb cracks, whispers that voicing the memories that haunt her will only confirm her weakness in Sasuke's eyes. Instead of seeing the warrior who destroyed the ground and healed thousands in the war, he'll see the wisp of a girl who had trailed behind him as a genin.
It's the gentle, unconscious stroke of Sasuke's thumb across her forearm that makes her decision. Sasuke can sense the shift in Sakura as her head drops back onto his shoulder and her eyes squeeze shut. She's tired, so tired.
"I killed them."
Her voice breaks in the middle, and Sakura hisses out a quiet dammit at her traitorous voice. Sasuke's hand tightens where it rests on her arm.
He's quiet for a moment. Outside of discussing strategy or the details of a mission, talking isn't something Sasuke has much practice in. That, and his plan may have ended at getting Sakura to calm down enough to breathe properly.
He spends another minute in silence, growing increasingly frustrated with his inability to find the words he needs to comfort the woman who has always known exactly what he needed to hear. Sakura, however, doesn't seem to mind the silence as she relaxes against him. Green eyes crack open, and though they're still muddled with pain, he sees a steady glimmer of trust and contentment behind them that immediately quells his frustration.
The open trust in Sakura's gaze reminds Sasuke that she's never expected him to be anyone other than himself. She's always been patient, meeting him more than halfway as he seemed to take one step towards her and two or three back.
He suspects it's the same now, as there's no expectation in her eyes, no tension in her body that suggests she's irritated by his silence. So instead of pushing himself to think of the correct words to fill the empty space, Sasuke pulls her more firmly against his chest and shifts her so his chin rests lightly atop her head.
It's more affection than he's ever shown, and it's far from comfortable for him, but Sasuke knows that Sakura's worth a bit of discomfort.
Just as Sakura has spent so many years steadfastly waiting for him to come to her, he settles in to wait for her to tell him - whether that time comes tonight or later down the line.
That time doesn't come tonight. Though she trusts Sasuke with her life, Sakura can't quite break through the insecurity that he'll find her weak the moment she says anything more. Maybe it's not a fair assumption to make, but most of her memories of them together on the battlefield ended in Sakura being treated as fragile - something to be left behind and protected.
Even if they made progress during the war, Sakura's not quite ready to test the durability of the picture of strength she painted as she threw herself at Madara or took on a goddess at her team's side.
Instead, she's happy to just let his presence ward off the shadows in her mind. The voices are silent at his touch, so she decides to just enjoy the rest and wrestle with them when they inevitably come back after Sasuke's gone again.
Sasuke feels Sakura's breathing even out and watches her eyes flutter closed as she falls asleep against him. It's an interesting thing, having someone trust you so fully that they're willing to be at their most unguarded.
And he's done nothing to deserve it. He knows this, and it merely strengthens his resolve to continue his journey of atonement so that he can become someone who's at least a fraction deserving of Sakura and all that she's willing to offer him.
As he maneuvers himself out from behind Sakura and shifts her onto his back, Sasuke realizes with a tinge of bitterness that this is something he could have every day - Sakura's presence and everything bright and loving that entails. But as much as he wants to be there when she wakes up and finally say yes to taking her with him, he's not quite ready for that step.
There's more growth to be had, more relationships to mend, more emotions for him to reconcile within himself. While he knows having Sakura by his side would expedite the process of mending bridges and healing his own wounds, she needs to keep some of her light for herself.
When he leaves this time, it's out of consideration not just for himself, but for both of them. He can just make out the time when he asks Sakura to join him on his journey in the near future, but it's not now. They both have steps they need to take before they're ready.
He leaves Sakura tucked under the nest of far too many blankets she's always stubbornly kept haphazardly strewn across her bed, with a simple note on her nightstand:
Next time, Sakura.

Asynchronous With You: Ch 6
ship: naruhina
rating: teen (quite possibly mature or explicit later)
tags: Modern Day AU, Foster Siblings, Family, Angst, Unrequited Love, Poor Communication, Missed Opportunities
summary: An awkward journey full of self-denial and missed moments between two foster siblings. Perhaps their love will find the right timing someday.
"I think everyone should know," she said.
They were walking the usual route to their high school, the train station coming up ahead. Naruto kept a protective though furtive gaze on Hinata as he walked behind her on the steps.
He swore she's never modified her skirt. It would be against the dress code she's forced to protect. So he has no idea why it feels like he's seeing more of her than usual.
"Know what?"
Usually he's already doing this, because he's worried about perverts. Even in grade school, he was worried. If it weren't for their teachers educating them on Stranger Danger, he probably would have had to do it himself.
He had to learn it the hard way before Kurenai-obasan took him in, but so did Neji apparently. That's why he's gotten good at being less obvious with his suspicion, and also why he can better tell apart intent based on their body language.
He used to perceive everything around him to be potentially malicious. He never realized the toll that had been taking on him until Neji taught him how to really see.
He stood close behind her on the platform as they waited.
"That we're fosters."
A burst of wind shot through the platform, ruffling overcoats and business suits and whipping pleated skirts and loose hair in a sudden frenzy.
The PA announced the train's arrival, and it wheezed to a stop soon after.
He observed Hinata as she flattened her skirt down and smoothed her bangs, but none of it registered in his brain.
It was simply auto-pilot for him to follow her onto the train, then using his larger frame to block the other passengers from nearing his little sister.
Right. His foster sister.
In all of their nine years together, they've never told anyone. It wasn't that it seemed weird, it just… never occurred to them?
But now it did seem pretty weird.
"Why, though? In a couple years, it's not going to matter anymore."
She turned her face against her shoulder to look at him, but he didn't know what she was thinking. It was the same schooled features she put on last night when visiting Neji, like there was a one-way mirror and only she could see through him.
Then she looked away.
"You're not going to introduce a girlfriend to Kurenai one of these days?"
"Hmm?" The suggestion bloomed in his mind and quickly withered. The idea wasn't… very appealing. Something about inviting judgment onto his life and stuff. He defends himself in every aspect but at home, and he'd rather keep coasting on the good thing he's got. "Dunno. Hadn't ever thought about it."
He certainly wasn't going to introduce any of the one's he's taken to bed when the apartment was empty. He's rarely done it with the same girl twice, mainly because he can't help but lose interest.
He blames it on sexual incompatibility.
"Well, I know I will."
He misses the melancholy hedging around her words, and latches onto the opportunity for an easy ribbing.
"You're gonna bring a girlfriend over?" he's happy she shoots him a look so that she can see his corny grin, otherwise he worried she might've mistaken him for serious.
He's nonplussed by the severity of her glare, but then she says "Maybe when you're not around," and he no longer knows what to think.
"Wait, what? Hinata?" He's craning left and right in hopes of catching a smirk or a giggle from her, but she's evasive. Has she? "Hinata, are you--?" And since third grade she said? "Also, what's that supposed to mean 'when I'm not around'? Huh? Hey, what's that supposed to mean 'when I'm not around'?? Hinata???"
"We're getting off topic--"
"Bullshit! I have questions!"
She ignored him.
"I vote to tell our friends that we're fosters. And I'd like to have it taken care of during Lunch. What's your vote?"
Is this what she sounds like during her Public Morals Committee meetings? Because it was doing something to him.
Oh, right. She wanted an honest answer.
But… "What do you get out of announcing this? I mean, aside from knowing how to introduce me in the future or whatever. Have you thought this through at all?"
What's the rest of the school going to say?
The guys who share their skin mags with him might get wary and reject him. The girls he's dumped might try to get to him through her. Teachers might give up on disciplining him, essentially offloading their responsibilities onto her as both Public Morals Committee and his sister. And he wasn't having any of that shit again.
All kinds of things could bite them in the ass one way or another.
She hasn't replied to him at all, and he thinks she's upset again, but he has to make his point.
"Hinata, the way things are now isn't broken, so what are you trying to fix?"
"It would help me."
"Huh? How? With what?" He waited, and she was silent. A drop of dread sank in his chest for her. "So something is wrong," He leaned in closer, causing her to shrink. He sighed. "Hinata, for someone who wants the world to know we're fosters, you sure don't seem willing to rely on me like a sibling."
"I don't favor Neji-niisan over you."
"Yeah, well, you don't have to," Tension clutched at their throats. "People always have more history with their blood. I can't really compete, y'know?"
He can't compete at all, actually.
Sometimes he thinks his only true brother is Sasuke, but he still wants to work at this. She just has to let him.
"I'm sorry. I just thought it would be less lonely if we could talk to each other normally again. And we only see each other at school these days, so…"
He envisioned her waving to him in the halls between periods, or her having a reason to cheer him on during a deadlift tournament. It would prevent people from making the wrong idea about them.
Damn, he felt stupid now.
"Fine!" He intoned with mock-annoyance. "If it'll make you happy."
She looked over her shoulder again, and what she found was his warm, supportive smile.

Hinata gathered her friends, Kiba, Shino, Ino and Sakura.
And he gathered his friends, Sasuke, Shikamaru, and Chouji.
Ino had tsked in distaste when she saw Sasuke, had gone as far as to drag Sakura away so that the others sat in-between them. He caught some sort of nickname from her lips, but wasn't sure what she had really said.
As Naruto stood before them alongside Hinata, his gaze fell on the skinny lad scribbling away at his sketchbook, and immediately his fight instinct was switched on.
"What's your monochromatic ass doing here??! Did anyone invite him?!" He jabbed a finger in Sai's direction.
The monotone, softboy, little creep didn't even look up.
"I'm making a record of these proceedings for posterity," he lifted the sketchpad and flipped it around.
Inkified Naruto was pointing right back at him with an agape snarl. Sai then proceeded to show everyone else individually, and they all cracked up, one by one.
Ino was absolutely dying. Stomach-clutching and tears rolling, the whole nine yards. She snatched the sketchpad from Sai and begged if she could keep it.
"Whaddya want that for??" Naruto interrogated. He was so about to punch Sai and throw his art supplies in the pool. This was Hinata's announcement and the softboy was ruining it.
Ino mockingly tilted the sketchbook side to side. "Something to keep your ego in check, Charato."
Hinata faintly snorted. He wasn't sure until he saw how she had her face turned around and her shoulders were lightly trembling.
He frowned at her, feeling betrayed.
"Ahhhh, alright, enough! Me and Hinata have gathered you all here for a reason! So shut up and listen! Hinata, tell them!"
Hinata jolted out of her humor, her face flushing as though this were the first time she's done public speaking.
"Uh, Uhm… Naruto-kun and I… we're foster siblings. We, uh… we live together," Hinata froze up under their collective stares. With a stiff smile, she half-heartedly sang "Ta-da," and punctuated it with rather embarrassed jazz hands.
"And as our friends, you're the first to know," Naruto added. "Also we don't care if the whole school finds out. So don't worry, we're not sharing this out of confidentiality."
Their collective shock evaporated rather quickly.
Sakura was the first to speak. "Well, that answers a lot of questions. And raises plenty more." She ended it with a growl and a glare. That accusatory look irked him.
"Feel free to ask away! I've got nothin' to hide!"
Sakura flattened the back of her skirt as she rose up like a dignitary representing The House of Hyuuga. And then like a certain video game attorney, she pointed at him.
"I always wondered why you obsessively protected Hinata in the past, but never showed any romantic initiative towards her. Now I have to ask, knowing the sex maniac that you are: Do you ever sneak into her bedroom?"
"No," He answered unconvincingly. He looked at the jury one by one, unsure how much of their scrutiny was sincere or misperceived. Sasuke was leaning forward, arms circling around his knees. He looked a little too interested in the idea of him and Hinata… doing things… "I-I've never done that! I would never do that! Hinata's special to me, okay?! You've got a filthy fuckin' mind, Haruno!"
"Me?! You've tried to sneak into the female locker rooms!" Sakura took off her shoe and slugged it at him. "Multiple times!"
Naruto hunched up and twisted away as the shoe smacked his shoulder and bounced away.
Hinata moved in between him and the one-woman mob. "Okay, this is getting out of hand--"
"I will never fucking do that to Hinata. I was in an orphanage for six years. And they're not all run by saints."
Dammit.
This was way more than he ever wanted to share.
He took a few steps back before turning tail. He jogged downhill as fast as he could.
What was he doing?
Uzumaki Naruto doesn't run away.
But it was either that, or… have them watch him cry.

AN: So this is missing a scene cuz I cut it. I might not use it anymore, and instead I'll see if the backstory I had expanded upon will be worked in later on in the plot. Because before I started writing this, I had anticipated that things would actually get cuter from here on out. (Also anticipating that I may work in at least one smutty chapter in the future. Yeah, it's totally diverging from this fic's original concept when I posted it for Secret Santa, but that's okay!) And the total Ego Death I unexpectedly wrote just feels kind of Deus Ex Machina in a way to Naruto's vices. I just can't have him maturing right now. That's a plot route I don't have any material for, and I don't quite see it as not defeating the other stuff I had planned to write. (I'm also happy to state that I'm starting to get a better picture of how to condense this content on AO3, because I honestly feel like this could be Ch. 2 now. :B I mean, it's too short on its own if I do, but it kinda has that hook for the rest of the story.)
I hope you enjoyed this update! 😘💕💕💕

Hello, snickiebear! Congratulations on your 200 followers! If you have the time, would you mind writing Shisui x Sakura in a nonmass au? I’m actually curious about your take on a time travel scenario with this pairing, but I also understand that a lot of works have been written on time travel already, so it’s still awesome if you don’t do the time travel part!
Congratulations again and thanks for taking the time to read this ask! Your works are really enjoyable to read. Thank you so much for writing and for doing this 200-follower event!

(nope, not at all lmao) this is also now on AO3 bc i really liked it!
also, apologies that this took a bit!! lifes been a real fuckin bitch and the wall of writer's block hit me like a train AHAHAHA but i hope you like this one!!! :)))
The sky is sunny and the spring beautiful when the sky splits itself in half with a brillant, blinding flash of light.
Shisui, masked and riding the after mission high, can only stare as a body plummets from that crack, limp and silent.
It is as if the heavens have spit out what they have deemed unworthy.
Or perhaps, the heavens are dropping a gift on their doorstep.
Either way, Shisui is moving before he knows what is happening, catching that body— a woman with shaven pink hair— and holding her close, head tucked under his chin.
She’s breathing, chest rising and lowering feebly.
Shisui catches his breath as the fracture within the sky closes and only then does he notice the mask.
Porcelain and painted. A combination of a snake and fox, a wolf and slug.
His ANBU team materializes next to him, Dog-taicho’s chakra going from lazy to alert at the sight of the woman. “That’s…”
“Yeah.” Shisui says hoarsely. “She- she needs medical attention. I think.” There is a lot of blood, she’s dripping in it. But he can’t see where she’s bleeding from… or if all that blood is even hers.
“Let’s go.” Dog-taicho cuts through his thoughts, voice hard and a bit panicked. Afterall, Kakashi owes his life to this woman, they all did.
Team Ro blurred out of existence in their race to Kohona, their Savior clutched within his arms.
.
.
.
It's funny, really. When she looks back, as she so often does now, it's laughable. The fact that Haruno Sakura, the civilian born, the nobody, the weak one of Team 7 is the only one left.
Sakura was the only one left in the war against Kaguya and she had done what she has always done; what was needed.
So, Sakura was the only one left and she figured out what was left of Naruto’s seals and shot herself through time to fix everything, to save everyone. To take down Danzo, Hanzo, Madara, to save Sai, the Uchihas, Kakashi.
She was the one to heal Obito, to save Rin, to make sure that Itachi’s hands would never be stained with his family’s blood.
And now, now she sits in a T&I room and she laughs, laughs herself hoarse because she succeeded, she won. And now she is in the future, her intended destination, but it is not the same.
In this future, Haruno Sakura does not exist. She is nothing and no one.
Naruto and Sasuke are alive and well and happy. They get to live the lives they could have only dreamed about.
And Sakura. She doesn’t exist.
She laughs herself hoarse, the laughs turning into broken sobs and she drops her forehead to the table, hiccuping and clenching her hands into blood inducing fists.
Alone. As she always has been.
The door creaks open and Ibiki steps in, a folder in hand.
Sakura’s head snaps up, wiping her face as she almost sighs in relief. She loved (loves?) Ibiki, he once was one of her closest friends near the end. She knows Ibiki, trusts him. Or, at least, she had.
Sakura straightens in her chair, careful of the chakra suppressing handcuffs that really do nothing for her, just acting as a hindrance. But, she does not remove them because she is not a threat to Konoha, she never has been, never intends to be.
Ibiki sits down in front of her, eyeing her carefully and it almost feels like coming home. “You say your name is Haruno Sakura.”
“Yes.” She rasps, licking her cracked and bleeding lips. “That’s right.”
Her eyes flit to the glass window, ignoring her own reflection as she narrows her eyes at whoever is behind the wall. An unknown chakra signature, wild and worried. And— and—
Kakashi.
His cool and lazy chakra, almost like a current of electricity. She would know that chakra any where, as if it is engrained deep in her bones. And right now he’s interested, almost antsy.
Swallowing, Sakura looks back to Ibiki, who had been watching her keenly. “You already had Inoichi-san do a mind walk. You know everything I do.” Shoulders back, chin tilted, spine steeled.
The dead man that sits in front of her hums and opens a folder, “We believe you—”
“It is not a matter of believing.” Sakura snaps, eyes flashing. “You know it is a fact. He saw, he showed you, you saw. How could I ever make something like that up?”
“What we know,” Ibiki says too calmly, too pleasantly, “Is that you are severely traumatized.”
And Sakura well, she laughs again. Because. Because what else is she supposed to do? She gives and gives and gives and is given nothing back.
There are no fruits for her labor, no reward for her sacrifice.
Shoulders shaking as she cries and laughs, scrubbing at her face. “We were friends, you know.” She manages. “I made you laugh twice, once after I lost my middle finger,” Sakura holds up her hand to show him, unsure of why she is even talking. “The second when you were dying in my arms.”
Silence rings out as Sakura gathers herself, swallowing harshly. Ibiki is still looking at her, but the way is no longer cynical, no longer studying.
“Haruno—”
“Just Sakura,” She says wearily.
“Sakura-san,” He continues, “When you were brought in you had a mask on. A mask that has been seen countless times saving Konoha shinobi.”
Sakura does not dare mention the fact that she has also interfered with Suna, giving Gaara the childhood he deserves. And with Mist, cutting the head off the snake quickly enough that the caste system would never truly solidify.
So, she nods. “I am aware.”
“And you claim you are the person behind the mask on every occasion.”
Sighing, she runs a hand over what is left of her hair and makes direct eye contact with her once friend, giving a curt nod, “I am the person behind the mask.”
“One last question, Sakura-san.” Ibiki murmurs, jotting something down in his folder. Sakura forces herself not to read the familiar writing. Though, she is well equipped to read upside down. “How did you come to possess the rinnegan?”
The air drops from mildly uncomfortable to freezing and Sakura does not balk at the question. “You saw it for yourself, Ibiki. It was a gift.”
“Yes, but from who?”
Her heart aches, squeezes at the thought of Naruto, of Sasuke, phantom pains. It is as if she has lost a limb, a piece of her heart when they had turned to ash between her fingers. But Sakura does not waver as she says, “It was a parting gift from Uchiha Sasuke before he died.”
The unknown chakra behind the wall erupts into a mess of emotions while Kakashi’s is mildly surprised if not wary. There is tension between the both of them though.
Which is incredibly amusing considering it wasn’t until much, much later did Kakashi ever see anything to be wary about in her.
(It took her flicking the ground and allowing it to split open and swallow any of their pursuers to convince him that she could very well tear him in half without a second thought.
She wouldn’t though. Team 7 and its members will always be a soft and deeply bruised spot for her. A wound she could never quite heal. Sakura cannot remember a time when she has ever been bruiseless. She has come to terms with being wounded.)
Ibiki closes the folder and taps it on the steel table between them, he motions over his shoulder and the door opens swiftly, revealing Kakashi and another Uchiha with curly hair.
He’s just as she remembers him, except not. Her Kakashi had slouched, had a certain energy about him.
This one, he looks the same, has the scar, the slight slouch. But it is clear that ghosts no longer beat on his back, the world's weight no longer bends him to its will.
Pain races through her heart, echoing physically throughout her body. It hurts. It shouldn’t, seeing her old sensei, her once friend, happy. But it does.
Because while she cannot live without Team 7, it is clear Team 7 can live without her.
She straightens, eyes sharp and body tense as Ibiki stands, chair scraping harshly against the floor and then takes her hands into his, calluses and scars scraping against each other.
Sakura could only imagine what Tsunade-shishou would say if she were to see her, riddled with scars and missing fingers. She could have healed them without a second thought, but chakra had been precious then. Every single ounce had been poured into keeping her precious people safe and herself alive enough to keep fighting.
Her once friend produces a key and unlocks the handcuffs, letting them drop heavily into his awaiting hands before standing up, “Sakura-san, this is Hatake Kakashi,” Her former teacher gives her a hard once over. “And Uchiha Shisui.”
Her skin itches and crawls at Kakashi’s look, cold and unfond, nothing like how she remembers him. And of course, of course he wouldn’t be the man who she had come to adore. He is someone else in this carefully constructed future of her own doing.
The blame, as always, rests upon her weakening shoulders. Sakura is crumbling, her sanity chipping away ever so slowly. It is laughable, really. She wants to throw her head back and howl, she wants to bow and allow herself to scream.
But, if she were to begin to scream, she is not sure she would be able to stop.
So, she gives a curt nod, “Hatake-san. Uchiha-san.”
“Shisui, and therefore the Uchiha, have volunteered to bring you into their custody.” Ibiki goes on, taking a step back. Sakura stays where she is, rooted.
A chill runs up her spine and she looks to Ibiki almost pleadingly. “And you can’t simply dump me into ANBU instead?”
“Mah, Sakura-san.” Kakashi drawls and Sakura’s will cracks. (That bruise will never quite heal.) “I can promise that the Uchiha aren’t as bad as they seem.”
Shisui smiles and it is unlike any smile she has seen before.
She cannot remember the last time she had seen a smile.
“Don’t listen to the old man, Sakura-san.” Shisui says and she’s caught off guard at how friendly he sounds, deep and welcoming. Sakura swallows harshly. “We’re a bunch of assholes but no harm will come to you, we can promise that.”
Uchiha men, she thinks with distaste, will always hold a knife to her heart. And they will always know how to twist the wretched blade to get her to bend for them.
But. But perhaps Sakura could bend, bend and lay and rest. Just once. And this time she'll bend for herself. Perhaps.
She finds herself nodding, hands shaking despite the steel in her spine, her shoulders still straight. “You’re going to just let me go.”
Ibiki gives her a hard look and Sakura’s lips twitch. Ah, of course not. The Uchiha compound is just a glorified prison. Then again, it is much better than anything she thought would happen.
Then again, Saura never thought this would happen.
Too desperate, too blind with the possibility of a chance to see them again, to be whole again. She, for all her brains, all her genius, had not even stopped to think of the possibility that her future would no longer exist.
It is laughable, really.
So she laughs, she clutches her stomach and laughs because what else can she do?
Sakura has done what she has always done; what was needed. And once again, like every other time, there is nothing but black at the end of the tunnel. No light exists for her.
She is to blame for her own destruction, her own crumbling.
.
.
.
“You can come out,” Sakura’s voice calls out and Shisui grins.
He steps from the shadows, two mugs in hand as he comes to sit next to her, offering her the drink. She takes it without hesitation but swirls it before sipping from it, Shisui watches as her eyes light up just a little bit.
Hot cocoa with peanut butter. He had noticed, the last time the clan had it, that she’d snuck four mugs worth.
If Sakura was surprised he noticed, she didn’t show it. She was like that, a one way mirror, giving nothing away even as she saw everything.
“Did you want something, Shisui-san?” She twitches as he scoots a little closer, the fireflies floating around the backyard. “Or did you just want some company?”
Shisui smiles boyishly, tilting his head back to look at her, “Heard that Minato-sama called you into the Hokage’s office again.”
“You mean you heard from Genma, who told Itachi while on their date, who then told you that the Hokage summoned me for the fourth time this week.” Sakura snorts, taking a long drink from her mug. There's a little foam on her upper lip that he fights to not wipe away. “He and his wife keep trying to convince me to let them look at the seals I used.”
Shisui pauses, eyes trained on Sakura as she looks to the sky, head leaning back. Her hair has grown out a little, more fuzz on her head than anything, she looks more alive, well fed. Deep bags under her one visible eye, three nasty scars dissect her face and the rest of her body isn’t any better.
She is the most beautiful, most terrifying, most devastating thing he has ever seen.
“The seals you used…”
“To go back and hop through time like a jack rabbit to save the entire world?” She asks, a wry smile on her face. “Yes, Shisui, those seals.”
He hums, leaning back on the heels on her hands, “Why don’t you just let them look?”
“They aren’t my seals to share.” Sakura half snaps, shoulders curling in, her body strung tight. “Naru— my friend was the one to draw them out, I just figured out the last bit of it. Plus, there is no reason why they need to see those seals.” Her tone sharp, unyielding almost pleading.
Shisui stays quiet until Sakura begins to slowly relax. She gets like this sometimes, tense and defensive. As if trying to convince herself rather than him of her deeds. He knew better than to push, he knew that she had gone through more than anyone would ever go through.
The way Ibiki and Inoichi look at her with the utmost respect can verify that. The way Kakashi and Rin and Obito have gone out of their way to greet her, to help her speaks volumes.
He takes a drink from his mug, studying the stars winking above them. “Hey Sakura,”
“Yes?” She sounds oh so weary. His very soul aches.
“Thank you, for everything.” He doesn’t dare look at her, barely hearing himself over the pounding of his heart. “You don’t talk much about what happened but I know, I can tell that it was horrible. And thank you for saving us, the world.”
She had lost everything, everyone. In that future that she had protected them from Sasuke died, Itachi died, he was dead. He could only imagine what the ruins of that world looked like. He could only imagine what Sakura had to do to survive.
Sakura’s fingers are cold, freezing as they brushes the back of his hand. Shisui fights a shiver, the trail of goosebumps, the thrill. “Oh, oh Shisui.” Her voice is heartbreaking and full of nothing but steel. “I would never allow anyone to endure that. You will never have to endure that, I made sure of it. Never. No one will. I promise.”
Her hand draws back as she brings her knees to her chest, eyes far away and breathes quick. And Shisui, he doesn’t know what comes over him as he scoots even closer and carefully wraps his arm around her strong shoulders, drawing her closer.
And. And Sakura, she allows it. She moves to his side, not quite leaning but touching.
“Are you happy here?” Shisui finds himself asking after long minutes of silence. Sakura’s breath evened out and she sits with her chin on her knees.
Her eye flits to him, weighing and heavy. She looks at him and Shisui cannot help but see the age, the ancientness that has taken root. He wants to pull out the misery within her, wants to hold her tight enough that she will never fall apart without somewhere there to catch the pieces.
He wants to love her, he wants her to let him love her.
“No.” Sakura whispers, as if her unhappiness in a world that does not know her, that has done nothing for her is such an awful, wretched thing. “I miss everyone.”
Shisui cannot say anything so he does what he does best; what he wants.
He stays with her, arm resting on her shoulders and slowly, Sakura allows herself to lean into his side.
Around them, the night settles and the crickets chirp. The heavens had nothing to do with Haruno Sakura, with their Savior, coming to them. No, Sakura is the catalyst of this, of this paradise they now all reside in.
If anything, she is the heavens themselves. And it is about time someone tells her that, shows her that.
.
.
.
Sakura sees them for the first time in the five months she has landed in this new future. Itachi invited her to meet his genin team. Itachi, the man who had once been a mass murderer, is now a mednin and a jounin sensei.
Shisui joins her because of course he does, he has been the one constant throughout this entire ordeal. The Uchihas are nothing like she thought they would be. The Uchihas are everything she hoped they would.
They are loving, friendly, welcoming, and thankful. Mikoto is nothing but heaven sent sunshine and cloud soft embraces, Fukago is nothing but a deep rumbling laugh and fond looks.
No one is the same, nothing is the same.
Shisui is there though, at her side, at her back. She trusts him, gods, she trusts him. Despite her better judgement, despite everything. Sakura trusts Shisui.
So, Shisui joins her as she takes to the roofs and to training field 7. She’s finally been cleared for the mission roster and given her jounin blues. Though, Sakura has yet to decide if she even would enjoy going on missions.
Maybe with Shisui.
But she does not think she has a taste for violence anymore, for killing. Maybe she'll spend her days with Kakashi's dogs and holed up in the libraries. Maybe she'll visit Gaara or Chojuro.
She had yet to meet Tsunade, who had been hunting for her since Minato (the bastard) had let it slip that Sakura was in possession of the rinnegan and the byakugan seal. Shisui is exceptionally good at playing discractor as Sakura flees to rock in a corner until he finds her. He's good at that, holding her, letting her breathe, allowing her to find solace within his arms and his space.
They step onto the training fields and Sakura freezes mid step to watch as Sasuke, Naruto, and Sai (oh, oh Sai. Sweet Sai, oh.) attack in perfect sync.
They’re fourteen if her math is correct.
They move smooth and swift, nonverbal communication as if they had been working like this for years. It's beautiful, really.
Something ugly claws at her heart, catching on an already scabbing part to rip open a new wound. Simply another reminder that Sakura is not needed. She never was.
It's laughable, really.
Shisui’s fingers massages the sides of her neck with his fingers, the spot where her skull and neck meet. “You’re tense.”
“They have beautiful teamwork.” She chokes out.
He looks at her, long and open, “We can go home, if you want.”
Shisui’s good at that t00, the open ended question, the way of making her not feel trapped. He's too perceptive for his own good, she has yet to tell him anything except what is on record. But, but. He knows. He knows of Kakashi, of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sai. It is both a relief and a terror. “No.” She manages, curling her hands. She is Haruno Sakura. She has faced the impossible her entire life. Ghosts are nothing compared to gods.
At least, that is what she tells herself.
“I’ll be fine.” Sakura glances up at him, licking her lips. He watches the movement before his eyes flit back up hers and he offers one of her favorite smiles. The one where his dimples are visible, where she can see the small chip of his front tooth and the way his top canin is a little crooked.
Itachi calls the spar minutes later, the boys slumping onto the ground and breathing heavily. Sakura offers a small smile as Itachi nears them, waving a hand in greeting.
“Ah, Sakura-chan.” He grins, then looks to Shisui, dry amusement clear in his tone, “Shisui.”
“You’ve trained them well,” Sakura praises, watching as Naruto (oh gods, Naruto with his big blue eyes and blonde, blonde hair) pulls a limp Sasuke (a Sasuke who laughs freely, who smiles, and is loved) onto his feet, Sai huffing a chuckle from the ground.
Itachi practically beams at the praise, “They are very talented. And you would like to meet them, yes?”
Shisui’s thumb traces the bumps of her spine and Sakura is reminded that she has forged herself from the ashes of her friends, that she is borne from war and steel. She can do this. Shisui is here and she can do this. “Yes, I would love to, Itachi.”
Shisui’s hand burns through her clothes as they follow Itachi, the boys immediately catching sight and freezing at the sight of them. Sakura will never admit it out loud that she has been avoiding any and all people from her past (present? future?).
One look at Ino, whole and happy and sassy, and Sakura had almost gone insane. And then Shikamaru and Chouji, all together, all smiling. Gods, Sakura had fallen to her knees at the sight. Such grief, such loneliness—
She’s better now. She is.
“Team 7.” Itachi says, “This Haruno Sakura, and you already know Shisui.”
Silence.
Sakura shifts under the wide eyed gazes of the boys, the men she loved (loves?) with her entire being. “It is a pleasure to meet you,”
Naruto recovers first because of course he does. And he smiles at her, he smiles at her and Sakura wants to claw at her skin and cry. Shisui intertwines their hands, as if sensing that urge.
“I’m Uzumaki Naruto!” He’s fourteen and he's alive and he’s happy. He isn’t out of the village, he’s here because he has a clan, he has a family. “Is it true that you’re the Savior?”
Sasuke smacks him in the back of the head with a scowl, “Be polite, dobe.” To Sakura he offers a bow, “It is pleasure to meet you, Haruno-san. I am Uchiha Sasuke.”
Sakura’s lips twitch despite herself. Never, not once, did Sasuke ever bow to anyone. He had always been arrogant, but here? Now? It's laughable, really.
She glances to Sai and he isn’t as pale as he once was, his cheeks are full of color, his eyes brimming with life. “I am Senju Sai, Haruno-san.”
And. Sakura pauses at that. Senju Sai, huh. Perhaps she'll have to face Tsunade sooner than later. The thought added to the dread filled pool in her stomach. But. But, she could do it. Maybe.
“It is very nice to meet you all,” She croaks and then offers a very brittle smile. “And Naruto-kun,” She fights a shiver at the honorific. “That information is S class, but find me when you make jounin, hm?” And for a moment she could pretend that everything was okay and she was teasing her Naruto. Just for a moment.
Much to her amusement, all three boys pout, looking to Itachi who shrugs, “You heard Sakura, now, let’s see formation Alpha but reverse.”
The boys groan and Sakura can’t help the smile, a smile with teeth.
She can feel Shisui’s eyes on her before she even turns to look at him. Her body is shaking, Sakura realizes blankly but Shisui still holds her sweating hands, squeezing ever so slightly. “Ready to go?”
Sakura swallows, staring up at him, studying him. And oh, she is so tempted to uncover her eye, to memorize his face. “Yes. Let’s… let's go home.”
.
.
.
He wakes to warmth pressed against his chest, warm breaths against his neck. Their legs are tangled, her arm thrown over his side and brushes against the bare skin of his back. Both of them are missing their clothes, Sakura preferred being able to feel the skin on him, the brush of flesh between them.
What they have, it is something deeper than any type of physical act. No, what they have… well, Shisui can not put it to words. There are no words. There will never be words.
It is rare for Sakura to sleep soundlessly and through the entire night. Shisui kisses her forehead, above her seal, on one of the many scars of her face. She doesn’t stir except to shift ever so slightly, hugging him closer.
And if Shisui’s heart melts, no one else is there to see the absolute brilliant smile on his lips.
“Sakura,” He murmurs because if she doesn’t get up soon, she’ll miss her lunch with Ibiki (who gets very grumpy when his time with Sakura is cut short), “Sakura.”
She grumbles, limbs tensing for a moment, a single breath before melting once more. “Shisui,” Her voice is rough with sleep, the sound swirls and dances around his bones. “G’mornin’.”
Shisui laughs, a soft push of air, as Sakura leans back to peer at him, both eyes uncovered as she studies him, the look like a physical caress. “Good morning.” He whispers, kissing her forehead once again.
“What time is it?” She murmurs, eyes drooping closed.
“You’ve got about an hour before Ibiki comes knocking.” Shisui chuckles.
Sakura snorts, pulling away to stretch her arms above her head, arching her back in the way that Shisui can admire every muscle, every scar, every part of her. “Then I better get up,”
“Or, you could always stay,” Shisui cajools, to which Sakura only laughs. The sound is beautiful and full and makes his heart beat a little faster.
“The last time I canceled on Ibiki was when I had to help Itachi with his and Genma’s wedding plans, and he sent little Terror Ino after me for a week.”
Shisui cracks an even wider grin, “Well, at least you got some nice clothes out of it.”
Laughing again, Sakura leans down to kiss him, “Yeah, I guess you’re right.”
“Go on,” Shisui shoos, making a little gesture with his hand. “Have fun, I’ll be here when you get back.”
“Promise?”
“Always.”
She cups his face, thumbing the sharp of his cheek bone before leaning forward to kiss him again, "I love you." Then. "I am glad that my suffering brought me to you, that I landed here."
"I love you." He returns, barely a whisper as he brushes hair behind her ears. His heart beats for her, cracks and aches and swells. All for her. "There will never be a time that I will not love you. There will never be a time where I do not see you and see everything you are, everything you have done."
The sky is sunny and the spring beautiful as Sakura, the very heavens themselves, mouth splits into a brilliant, blinding smile.
(Sakura has crumbled and broken, she has fallen apart over and over. She has always known how to put herself together, until she couldn’t.
But Shisui, oh Shisui, he has always been readily available with glue and tape. He will always be there to hold her together with his bare hands, ready to bleed for her, with her.
She has given and given and given. He is willing to give everything back to her tenfold.
It is the very least she deserves, the very least the world can gift her. Shisui will always be willing to give more.)

A/N: I don’t really know what this is...
I wrote this with my last two brain cells, last night...
So here ya go, lmao!
I wanted to try out something new, so I decided to write in Kakashi’s point of view.
Enjoy :)
Tumblr media
"Yo, (y/n)." I called out to said woman, from the other side of the street, "How was your mission?" I asked, recalling the fact that she had just come back from a relatively long A class mission.
(Y/N) looked back and beamed, witch, much to my surprise, caused my stomach to tumble a little. "Kon'nichiwa, Kakashi!" She chirped, "The eating and sleeping conditions were a little rough, as expected. But overall the mission went by pretty well." (y/n) told me as she drummed her finger on her short skirt.
"Say, how about I treat you for a snack or something?" I offered her with a slight shrug and close-eyed smile.
"Ah, arigato Kakashi! I would love that! I know just the place to go!" (y/n) grabbed my wrist and pulled me behind her. I was just the tiniest bit surprised at how iron-solid her grip was. I tried to wriggle my hand away, but it just wouldn't budge. It's not like I was complaining or anything, as my weird position gave me a nice view of (y/n)'s amazing (s/c) thighs and ass.
"Where are we going?" I asked, trying to stop my nose from bleeding before it could do so, grateful for my mask.
"Didn't you hear? A new ice cream parlor opened about two weeks ago. I've been wanting to go, but have never gotten the chance!" (y/n) explained.
Then I remembered. I did hear about the place. Naruto asked Sakura to go there with him, as a little date. But Sakura rejected him, proceeding asking Sasuke out, who rejected her. And Asuma and Kurenai were discussing the flavors there.
Tumblr media
"Welcome to Fukumi's Frozen Treats! What would you two like?" An employee asked, as (y/n) finally let go of me. I stood up and brushed myself off. I wasn't going to order anything, so I just looked (y/n) expectantly.
Her eyes flicked across the vast display of flavors and different types of cold snacks. I could pretty much see the glitter in her eyes, as she asked for a strawberry flavored popsicle. I put some money down on the counter, softly laughing at how childishly happy (y/n) looked.
"I haven't had this certain brand and flavor of the popsicle in years! I thought they got discontinued!" She said, opening the wrapper. "When I was still a student, my Sensei would always buy us these for my teammates and me after we mastered a new Jutsu quickly, or did a successful mission." (y/n) said with a reminiscent smile.
The smile quickly turned into a frown when she mention (bff1) and (bff2). I knew that talking about them brought up quite a large amount of trauma for her, so I tried my best, and flashed an encouraging smile. We sat down a little table outside of the shop, pulling out our copies of Icha Icha Paradise. For a while, we sat in silence, as we both read, and (y/n) continued eating her popsicle.
I looked up from my book, sweat-dropped at what I saw. Yet still, I could help but feel a little turned on by it. They were (y/n) sucked and licked the frozen treat was quite, erm, suggestive. What made my boxers uncomfortably tight, was how she licked the red syrupy liquid off of her lips, and how she pretty much just deep throated the popsicle.
I must have let out a small gasp because (y/n)'s eyes quickly darted up to me. A deep blush adorned her cheeks, and probably mine as well. It's just a popsicle, Kakashi! Not your dick! I mentally screamed at myself, trying and failing to hold back my imagination. But my fantasies were broken, as (y/n) finally stopped licking, and took a bite out of the ice pop.
My single uncovered eye darted around, impulsively. Clearly, I wasn't the only one who had enjoyed (y/n)'s little show. A few others, mostly hormonal-looking teenage boys, were intently staring at (y/n). If I was remembering correctly, those were a gang of kids who often picked on Naruto when he was younger. I gave each of them a hard glare, trying to convey my message without words. Thankfully, it worked.
I would be lying if I said that I was slightly taken aback by my actions. This clearly wasn't how I normally acted! (y/n) seemed to have taken noticed of how I felt, "Kakashi, are you alright?" She asked as she licked the stick clean, "You've been death glaring those poor boys for ages."
"They used to bully Naruto." I half lied to her.
(y/n)'s originally calm and sweet face twisted into anger, "I'll be right back." She said coldly, storming after the hormonal dweebs. I darkly chuckled to myself. Boy, where they gonna get a whooping...

Naruto walked into his apartment, shut the door behind him, and didn’t say a word when he saw Konohamaru on his couch watching some television show. He threw the boxed cake onto his counter and went straight to bed, willing himself to replay the moment over and over in his head.
“Baka,” he said as he imagined Hinata’s perfect pink tongue against his fingertip. He grimaced, physically feeling as if he had been sucker-punched.
“Nii-chan?” Konohamaru said as he approached Naruto’s bedside. “I know you said I’m not allowed to come over when you’re not home, but you know how it is with my parents. I just wanted—”
Konohamru was going to continue, that is until he realized that Naruto looked pained—extremely pained.
“Nii-chan...are you okay? I thought you were going to be out late with Hinata.”
At the mention of her name, Naruto sucked in a breath and turned on his side, away from his protegee.
Putting two and two together Konohamaru’s worried expression quickly turned into one of mischievous glee, “Something happened, didn’t it?”
Naruto grunted in response, which only served to encourage Konohamaru’s imagination.
“I knew it! I knew it!” He said excitedly, grabbing onto Naruto’s side. He attempted to turn him back over to face him, but Naruto refused.
“You have to tell me, come on, you have to tell me what happened!”
“I...She...” Naruto sounded as if the wind had been knocked out of him, he truly could not articulate what had happened. He didn’t know how to explain it. It was so very innocent, but at the same time so incredibly intimate. His imagination began running away with him the moment her eyes met his, in that split second of panic when he realized what he had done and she had given into a capricious whim. He was sure he wouldn’t be able to think of anything but her tonight.
“Nii-chan, that isn’t an answer” Konohamaru pouted.
Naruto turned to face him and patted the space next to him. Konohamaru obliged him and sat on the edge of the bed.
“Look, you’re just too young right now for me to explain...”
Konohamaru rolled his eyes, “I know about that. I’m thirteen, not three.”
Naruto narrowed his eyes, “That’s not what I was talking about.”
“Then what, were you going to say, love?” Konohamaru said, clasping his hands together raising them to the side of his face in an exaggerated motion.
“Okay, get out.”
“No, come on! I want to know what happened!”
“Nothing.”
“You’re going to tell me you’re acting this way because absolutely nothing happened?”
“Look, squirt,” Naruto said sitting up and crossing his legs upon the bed. He faced Konohamaru and clasped his shoulder firmly, “Before this morning, I didn’t realize that Hinata had...um...that she...”
“Loves you.”
“Woah! Come on now. We don’t know that.”
A deadpan look was etched upon Konahamru’s face, “Right.”
“We can’t assume that. I was going to say that...she had...feelings? For me?”
“Acceptance is the first step, nii-chan.”
“I’m trying to be serious here, kid. Cut me some slack.”
“Alright, alright.” Naruto took a breath and ran a hand through his extremely short blonde hair, trying to compose his thoughts before opening his mouth once more.
“Look, before today I never really opened my eyes to this kind of thing. I used to be so focused on training that...”
“Girls didn’t even exist.”
“Yeah!”
“Except for Sakura onee-san”
“Hey now! I had a little crush on her, that was it. We’re more like brother and sister at this point.”
“Yeah, yeah,” Konohamaru said, waving him off.
“Anyways,” Naruto continued, “I don’t know. I just...something kind of just clicked today. But I feel like such a shitty guy because the reason it clicked was because-” He stopped abruptly, realizing who he was talking to.
“Oh come on, you can’t stop now! Why did it click!?”
“When you’re older-”
“Don’t give me that! When I’m older you’ll still be five years older than me and can use that excuse. I’m not buying it, tell me!”
Naruto sighed, but continued, “Okay, okay. I um...Well...Hinata brought me a piece of cake from Hanabi’s birthday. And, well, it had strawberries on it. I know she really likes them so I picked one off of the slice and offered it to her with my hand.”
“Alright.”
“Well, she took it.”
“And then you guys made out?”
“No!!! That’s it, that’s the story!”
“You’re telling me what did it for you was her eating out of your hand? You’re shitting me right?”
“Hey! Language!”
Konohamaru shook his head, “Don’t change the subject!”
“I’m not.”
“Well, then, continue!”
“Jeez, you’re something else, kid.”
“I don’t have all night...”
Naruto groaned in frustration, tempted to evict Konohamaru from his bed and his apartment. “Look, I don’t know how to explain to you Konohamaru because it’s just one of those things you have to feel. You think i’m insane for saying this is the exact moment I realized it, but I’m telling you, one day you’re going to go through the exact same thing and you’re not going to think I’m so crazy then.”
Konohamaru huffed as he rested his chin on the top of his knuckle, “So what did it for you? Her licking your fingers or something?”
Naruto turned as red as the crest upon his back and Konohamaru cracked up immediately, “Oh, nii-chan! You can’t be serious! Hinata...she..” One glance at Naruto’s face and he had his answer. “Shit, nii-chan, that’s pretty kinky.”
“Alright, that’s it. Out!” Naruto said, pushing Konohamaru off of his bed. The boy landed with a thud on the wooden floor.
“Hey, I’m not judging what you’re into. I just think it’s funny that she almost gave up her life for you, but it was this that made you realize you both definitely have a thing for each other.”
“Get out,” Naruto said firmly.
“I think it’s nice it’s finally all out in the open.”
Naruto got up and started throwing Konohamaru’s things into his knapsack.
“But really, hey, who would’ve thought that Hinata...you know.”
Naruto turned around sharply, “What?”
“She just...didn’t seem like the type.”
“Type?”
Konohamaru laughed, “Nii-chan, she’s been in love with you forever but never really made a move. I didn’t think that straight out the gate she’d come out and suck your fingers.”
Naruto’s face turned a deep shade of red, “She—she didn’t—she didn’t do that! It was an accident!”
“Now it was an accident, sure, boss.”
“I’m not asking you to leave again.”
Konohamaru sighed and grabbed his backpack off the floor before turning towards the door. He was about to start moving towards it, but instead turned to look at Naruto once more, “Don’t mess this up, nii-chan. She gave you the green light officially. What you do from here is probably your last chance to bag her.”
“You are such a little weasel, you really talk about girls that way?”
“What way!? I didn’t say sleep with her! I meant—” But Konohamaru didn’t get to finish his thought because Naruto opened the door, pushed him through it, and shut it abruptly behind him.
“Goodnight,” Naruto said through the door.
“Don’t mess it up, Nii-chan!”
---
Hinata paced the length of her bedroom countless times, trying to convince herself that what had happened was an accident. But at this point, she just wasn’t sure anymore.
“Hinata!” She heard Hanabi call from the hallway, “Phone call for you!”
She ran, barefooted, out into the corridor and almost slammed straight into her younger sister, “Woah! Where’s the fire? It’s just Sakura. Were you expecting someone else? Hanabi asked a smirk etched upon her face.
Hinata wordlessly grabbed the phone from Hanabi’s grasp with a furrowed brow and ran back into the safety of her room.
“Sakura?”
“Hinata-chan! I meant to call earlier, but I just got home.”
“Oh, that’s alright. I wasn’t expecting a call from you, was I?”
“No, no! I just had something to tell you about Naruto.”
Hinata’s pulse became unsteady once more and she nervously blurted out, “It was an accident! You have to tell him I didn’t mean it!”
“What!? What was an accident?”
“He...he didn’t tell you what happened today?”
“Something happened!?”
“I-I...what were you going to say?”
Hinata could hear Sakura slamming something down on her end and involuntarily flinched as her friend yelled, “Hinata what happened!?”
Hot tears of shame began welling up in the back of her eyes, she didn’t want to tell Sakura, but she knew that at this point it would be better to get some advice from someone who wasn’t directly involved.
She shakily replayed the events from earlier in detail to her friend, and stuttered as she admitted, “I want to think it was an accident, but...it just...it felt...right?”
Sakura giggled, “I can only imagine the idiot’s reaction.”
Hinata smiled, “Yes, it was...it was something.”
“Hinata?”
“Yes?”
“I know that you’re over-analyzing everything, as you always do, but can I say something.”
“Mhmm.”
“You probably gave Naruto the 5 most exciting seconds of his life so far.”
The two kunoichis burst out laughing, Hinata was thankful that Sakura had called and managed to quell her fears in one breath.
“So...so you don’t think I scared him off?”
“There’s no way!” Sakura exclaimed, “If anything, I think you solidified what he ran over to tell Sasuke this afternoon.”
Hinata flushed, “What—what did he tell Sasuke-Kun?”
“I really think you two should talk.”
“Sakura-chan, please?” Hinata pleaded.
“Hinata, trust me on this one, go talk to Naruto. For real this time.”
“O—okay.”
“Alright, have a good night then! We’ll chat tomorrow. I’ll stop by with some tea.”
Hinata sighed, “Alright Sakura. Have a good night.”
She laid back upon her bed, the phone still in hand, as she pondered calling Naruto. But she talked herself out of it, knowing she had had her fill of embarrassment for one day. She would just stop by tomorrow morning before he started training for the day.
Until then, with flushed cheeks and star-filled eyes, a conflicted Hinata would replay the feel of him upon her tongue.

My son, the diaper perv (Naruto)
In anther universe, in anther time, Naruto didn't lose both of his parents, only his mother. the following story takes place in this universe, with Naruto at age sweet 16.
Minato was taking advantage of the warm sunny day in hidden leaf and his status as Hokage of the village to punish his little pervert of a son. Said punishment involved having Naruto currently dressed in 3 large diapers that were dark blue on the sides, and white in the middle with four light blue tapes to keep them snugly on the 16 year old toddler and causing him to waddle. Of course the diapers couldn't fully be seen at the moment as Naruto was wearing a onsie over them, though the sides of the diapers poked out at the crotch level and the crotch snaps were staining, clearly reaching their limits. the onsie was was colored orange, with a yellow fox on the front of it all chibi and grinning and there was a yellow paci clip with a yellow ribbon on his chest, with a orange paci currently in the 16 year olds mouth. he had on a pair of white socks and a pair of orange sneakers with the same yellow fox on the sides of them and his head band had been taken away since he wasn't a ninja of hidden leaf today, he was nothing more then a big toddler, with the understanding ANY amount of attuide and he could be a big baby, and more attuide after that...a baby girl. Minato lead his son, holding his hand tight and having a diaper bag over one shoulder as they made their way around the village, having decided to take Naruto out for a little bit of take out and of course choosing the furthest joint away from their place as possible. Oh course the sight of a 16 year old toddler would of gotten attention regardless, but with it being the son of the Hokage, and one of the strongest ninjas in the village (at least for his age group) it drew lots of attention and as word spread, more and more people found excuses to come out and watch the toddler be marched by. Naruto for his part was crimson in the face and looking down at the ground, even as small children giggled and pointed and worse, a few of his fellow ninjas laughed and called over to him. "NICE LOOK NARUTO!" Kiba called, cupping a hand to make his voice louder as the passed the pet store. "Awww, who's a cute widdle guy?" Sakura laughed, Sitting in Sasuke's lap as the new couple were by a fountain. "Geez, really? I knew you were a bed wetter." Sasuke said, smirking and kissing Naruto's crush while the toddler id his best to ignore them. "oh, Naruto, your still wetting the bed? you told me you were a big boy!" Minato said, stopping their walk and turning to smirk. "Then again, I know you were lying about being a big boy so I guess i can't be TOO shocked that your still wetting your bed huh?" The Hokage said and ruffled Naruto's hair. "be a good boy and wave hi to your friends little guy, they all think you look so cute!" he added. Case in point, Hinata was currently looking out from around a corner, peeking at the back of Naruto's puffy butt and ended up having a nose bleed and fainting. "H-Hiiii Everyone.." Naruto squeaked out, his paci hanging down and drool on his chin, as he made eye contract and gave a weak wave, and let out a humiliation and fear feared fart.
You might be asking yourself, what could of Naruto had done to cause his dad to punishment him like this? For that, we'll have to go back in time to the night before, around 11:30 pm.
For Minato it had been just anther Friday night, work had been a pain this week and he'd been enjoying a few strong ales and had been looking forward to just conking out on the couch, watching bad TV. For Naruto who had been trying to spike his dad's ale's so the old man could conk out faster, it was perv time. with his dad nodding off slowly on the couch, Naruto rushed off to his room and stripped down to his birthday suit and smirking as he opened his private chest. (his dad trying to be understanding, had told Naruto he could have a chest in his room that Minato would NEVER in anyways shape of form, try and find out what was inside, and just trusted Naruto not to hide booze or drugs in there.. if only he knew.) With his hairless crotch and less then stellar member on display, Naruto reached down making his semi bubble butt jiggle as he pulled out 5 of the same diapers he'd be wearing the next day, though of course at the time the little diaper perv couldn't of known that. setting them on his bed, he reached back in and pulled out a jar of little stinkers poopie pills, just one was suppose to be enough but for a diaper pooping humiliation junkie like Naruto, he took out five of them and his cute little dicklet was already twitching, before he'd even touched it or moved to put the pills in. experience and a stain on his carpet had taught Naruto how fast the pills could work, so he unfolded the diapers and got them ready to go. He was wasn't planning on a major piss feast tonight so he didn't bother with the slits in the front, though he did make some in the back of the diapers so he wouldn't have crap leaking down his thighs. with the diapers pre-powdered and set up so he'd just have to sit down and start taping, Naruto got on his knees over the diapers, and looking at his reflection in the full body mirror by his bed and grinned impishly. "Magic time~" he giggled. Flipping himself off in the mirror, Naruto then sucked on the offending digit then took the finger of the pill's, which were really a little bit too big to go in with ease, and shoved it in his cute little rosebud with the slick finger, moaning softly and his nipples getting stiff and his cock twitching and dribbling pre onto the diapers. "Your gonna be a big." he moaned softly to himself, getting the next pill and sliding it in with the same finger, loading himself up to load his huggies and fingering his boy cunt at the same time. "Stinky." he gasped and reached for the next pill, the flow of pre was almost like a weak steady stream of sticky piss coming out his his cock head, and it was taking all of the boys self control not to pump his dicklet with with finger and thumb, or to just add two more fingers to his back door fun. "DUMB." he gasped softly, getting pill number three in and he was worried he was gonna shoot before he could even diaper up, his desire to do these walks fueled by a week of edging and gooning to porn and hoping he'd last. "B-B-Baby!" he hissed, getting the last pill in and shutting his eyes, leaning forward and gripping the sheets of his bed and barely holding his boy milk in. His breath was coming in ragged gasps as he started to tape up the diapers, his hands shaking but he knew he had to hurry, already the pills were starting to take effect and the cramps were building. He'd toyed with using a butt plug and the poopie pills, but the thickness of his diapers and the size of his toy meant that he just ended up with massive cramps and stuck in a loop of trying to push the toy out only for it to slid back in when the diapers stopped it, and he'd been stuck in a loop of fucking himself in essence for 6 hours, thankfully in his room. while it had been a awesome experience, the massive case of the runs he'd had for the next two days hadn't been and he'd learned his lesson. Summoning a iron willpower, of sorts, Naruto got his big dumb baby diapers on and shaking, made his way downstairs where his Father was snoring softly on the couch. Sliding his sneakers on, and carefully opening the door, Naruto ventured out into the night, not realizing as the door closed it woke his father up. Minato for his part, got up and shut off the tv, a little bit shocked he'd conked out the way he had, but just figured it had been from the work load that week, and made his way out of the living room, figuring he might as well call it a night. He noticed that the front door was unlocked though so made sure to lock it, and the back door before making his way up the steps towards his room.
The night air was nice, not to warm and not to cold and the bugs weren't out in force as Naruto crinkled and waddled, his tummy cramping big time. he was keeping to the bushes and trees when possible even though no one was really out this time of night. Still almost no one didn't mean no one at all and a young couple were out for a midnight stroll as Naruto was crouching behind a bush, willing them to go away as he was at his breaking point. "That star looks beautiful tonight don't they?" The young lady said, smiling and holding her man's hand. "Not as beautiful as you my sweet. just smell that sweet spring air tonight and-" The man was cut off as a loud rumbling wet fart blasted out of Naruto's behind, and was followed with a sick rotten smell. "UGH! Really Kenta? I told you to take it easy on the ramen!" the woman groaned, pinching her nose. "That wasn't ME! I was gonna ask if you were ok!" Anther blast of ass gas filled the air, a sloppy fart and the back of Naruto's diaper was rapidly filling up as the little imp got on his hands and knees and bit his touge to keep from grunting out loud, his dicklet leaking as his asshole twitched and let out wave after wave of semi solid filth into the seat of his diaper, punishing his prostate as it shot out. "oh, real mature! Blame me for this as you shit your pants!" "I'm telling you it's not fucking me!" the couple argued and took off in different directions as Naruto raised his ass in the air, his eyes rolling up in the back of his head and his touage hanging out of his mouth as the diapered perv came HARD, still shitting himself and making his diapers bloat out and discolor.
After cumming a few more times as he finished destroying his huggies, Naruto barely had the power to drag himself home, a combination of the multiple orgasms that had racked his body and well, the massive poopie he'd taken. with the back of his diapers almost down to his knee caps, and having to tug them up, and still have the top of his dirty butt crack showing every few steps, Naruto was relived as he made it to his house and went to open the front door. And it was locked. "Nooo..no no no.." he said, feeling a pang of fear, and tried the door again. "no no no no no." as the fear filled his, Naruto's dicklet added to the semi solid filth, wetting himself as the butterflies built up in his tummy. "ok..ok..Relax..there's always the back door. Dad NEVER checks the back door." he said softly to himself, waddling slowly and making the disgusting mass in his loaded diaper swing back and forth as he waddled around the outside of the house. Somehow despite how much he had hoped his words would prove to be true, a part of Naruto wasn't shocked when he tried the back door and it too was locked. "I..I'm trapped outside..In my poopie diapers." the perv whimpered, his bottom lip quivering. Sure, it had been fun to THINK about something like this while gooning, but the harsh reality of the situation wasn't nearly as fun, though his dicklet was trying to get hard despite the buckets he had already cum. There was NO way he could just stay outside for the night, already he was started to get itchy and his buns were burning a little. Add in his diaper's were at their limit now and he was gonna leak before long and Naruto knew he only had ONE choice to make. He was gonna have to ring the front door bell and hope that daddy could wake up and let him in. Shaking and trembling Naruto made his way BACK round the house, and pushed the doorbell, mind spinning for a excuse, any excuse he could think of.
Minato had been in the middle of a hot dream, where he had a couple of the cutest ninja's under his command on their knees begging for his dick (Both male and female, he was of the opinion a hole was a hole) when the door bell sounded and he groaned. "Naruto!" he called out, banging on the wall that separated their rooms. "go answer the door!" he tried to slid back into his sleep when the doorbell sounded again, and then again, and then fucking again and Minato banged on the wall again. "NARUTO! Go get the door!" he growled. when the doorbell sounded anther two times the Hokage gave up and slid out of bed, tugging a robe on over his boxers and mumbling about how he was gonna give his son a earful after seeing who was at the door, he made his way downstairs. "Never mind! I'll get it!" he called over his shoulder and then went to the front door, opening it without bothering to see who it was. (it wasn't exactly like as the fourth Hokage, he was too worried about a random burglar or the like.) Standing in front of him, smelling like a sewer and explaining why the door hadn't been answered, was his son. "Uh..Hiii Daddy." Naruto said sheepishly, and waved a hand. "...You've got 30 seconds to explain."
Finding out about Naruto's little perversions, Minato had been both mad, disgusted, and amused by it, and once he had Naruto go and take a long shower, he met his son in his bedroom. He had forced open Naruto's private chest, as clearly the boy had lost the right to any privacy if he was going to do things like THIS, and had some of Naruto's diapers out on the bed, the boys chastity cage, and a wooden spoon from the kitchen. "I..I don't suppose we could just um..forget all about this?" Naruto tried, wrapped up in a towel and chewing softly on the corner of it while he looked at his dad. "I think we're past that stage. For the record, if you had just told me you wanted to be a poopie baby, I would of let you do it in the house, safe and sound.I wouldn't of been a fan of the smell mind you, but would of been better then you going out at night." Minato said. "But Daddy! Part of all of it is the thrill of maybe being caught!" Naruto whined. "Well, you've been caught. still thrilling?" Minato asked, smirking and raising a eyebrow "..when you put it like that.." Naruto grumbled. "Since you wanna be a little diaper perv and waddle around showing your huggies off, you're going to get a WEEK of that, because you're going to be in diapers 24/7 and your getting pulled from any missions while your punishment is going on. you're gonna be treated like a little BABY around the house, and a TODDLER while we're out in public." Minato said. Naruto's jaw dropped as his eyes went wide as saucers. "A-Are you freaking KIDDING me?!? I can't go out in public in diapers!" Naruto yelped. "..what would you call what you were doing before I answered the door?" His dad asked. "I..but..that..It.." Naruto stammered. "Compelling argument. now get your butt over my lap for your spanking, and then daddy will be getting his BIG BABY ready for bed. and before you even think of it, Ripping off your diapers is going to earn you a extra TWO weeks in your diapers, and you'll be sleeping in my room with me till we can get BABY Naruto a crib." Minato said, smirking. Naruto whimpered and whined, but all the begging in the world wasn't going to change the Hokage's mind at this point. Accepting his fate, the 16 year old powerhouse slowly made his way over to his father, dropping the towel and showing that despite his protests, at least PART of him loved this. "and this." Minato said, smirking and pointing. "is why your little nub is getting locked up. I doubt you'll be enjoying yourself as much when you can't squirt." "DADDY!" the red faced Ninja whimpered loudly, but got over his fathers lap. "who knows, Maybe Friday's can be your big dumb baby night even after your punishment is over." Minato teased and Naruto grabbed a pillow and buried his face in it.
Ten swat's later that had Naruto bawling as if he'd been beaten, and his little nub was locked up safe and sound and he'd been double diapered. the boy had been exhausted and drained, in all the ways possible and it hadn't taken long once he was in bed with daddy for him to drift off.
Coming back to the present, while Daddy and son where heading for the ramen shop Minato had a few of his elites buying and setting up what was needed to turn Naruto's big boy room back into a nursery, and of course getting lots and lots of diapers for the little baby. The crowd was chuckling and some where returning the waves, though as a gentle wind blew and sent the smell of his gassy baby to them they backed away. "yeah, sorry about that everyone. my little guy is toxic. there's a reason we're out for a walk, I needed to air the house out after somebody woke daddy up with a morning surprise." Minato said, grinning ear to ear as Naruto whined and pouted. "Dadddddy! Dun tel dem that!" the oversized toddler huffed, slipping back into baby talk with a natural ease. Sakura and Sasuke were laughing hard now, though it was Sasuke who spoke up. "oh, you don't have to tell US about that.. We've had to start sneaking him special herbs while on missions to cut the smell down just so we can survive the night." Sasuke said. "Add in we knew about the pull ups 'widdle' Naruto had t wear to bed.." Sakura chimed in then added. "Did you ever wonder WHY I went with Sasuke over you little guy? Don't get me wrong, you're adorable! But I look at you more as a little boy trying to act all tough, while..well.." and she planted a smooch on Sasuke's cheek. Naruto whimpered big time and popped his paci back into his mouth, tears welling up in his eyes and Minato frowned a little. "Hey, don't be too mean to him, he's still my son, even if he's a over sized toddler." he said, a slight edge to his tone and the happy couple gulped and excused themselves. The kept walking and Naruto was rubbing at his eyes with his free hand, sniffling a little and Minato sighed and stopped them again. "I'm sorry Naruto. that must of been hard to see and hear. but it does free you up to just focus on being a cute little guy right?" Minato said and asked, getting on one knee in front of his son who sniffled again and nodded. "..How about daddy carries you the rest of the way and you can just hide your cute little face in his shoulder?" letting the paci all from his mouth Naruto gave a small smile. "I'd wike dat." the little guy in a big boys body said. Minato smirked and picked his son up, letting Naruto hug his neck and wrap his legs around him and then got a arm under the boys puffy bottom, and a hand on the boys back. "Just give daddy a warning before you poot, so he can move his arm, he doesn't want it melted off." Minato teased, making the big toddler giggle. "no pwomises!" Naruto lisped around his paci and nuzzled into daddy.
Getting to the ramen shop, they of course got all eyes looking on them, but by this point Minato was used to it. Naruto squirmed a little though as one little boy pointed and loudly asked his mom a question. "mommy, why's that big boy wearing diapies?" "er..well.." she started. "Naruto might LOOK like a big boy, but he's just a widdle guy." Minato said and gently set Naruto down. The ramen shop was big and popular enough to have a little area for younger kids to play in and with a pat on Naruto's bottom, Minato pointed to the arrangement of soft toys and actions. "Go play while daddy gets us lunch." He said chuckling. "oh! Mommy! can I go play with the little big boy?" the kid from before begged, holding his hands together. "er..well..we were about to leave and-" "Pleasssssse!" the little brunette whined. "Let the boys pay and I'll cover you tab." Minato offered the lady. "well I guess." his mother sighed.
Naruto was blushing lots as he plopped down on his crinkly butt, but the boy, couldn't of been more then 4 or 5 just smiled. "Hi! I'm Akio! what's your name?" He asked, holding out a hand for Naruto to shake. "I-I'm Naruto. N-nice to meet you." The big toddler said, taking the hand and shaking it. while Naruto was in his onsie and sneakers, Akio was dressed in jean shorts and a blue top, looking like SUCH a big kid in the little guy's eyes. "Same here! I've never seen a big boy like you in diapies before, though I've seen some little guys in a outfit like your's at my daycare." the boy said, clearly not trying to insult Naruto but just being bluntly honest like small children was known to be. "O-Oh yeah..it's uh..I like it." Naruto said. "uh-huh! Ninja fox is really all the craze right now at the daycare. I'm more into Ninja buddies myself, but hey, to each their own. did you wanna play action figures with me, or you more wanna play with the stuffies?" Akio asked. "I..I um.." naruto fidgeted and squirmed. "Oh, Should I ask your daddy first? like..are you not allowed to play with action figures?I know some little guys just put everything they can in their mouths." Akio said, smiling and nodding. "N-no I don't chew on stuff!" Naruto weakly protested. "ok, just if you chew on any of the action figures, your daddy will hafa buy them. it's a bigggg rule here." Akio said. Truthfully some of the stuffies looked SUPER tempting, but Naruto didn't wanna make himself look like even more of a baby and scooted on his butt, getting chuckles from those watching the interaction towards the action figures. "So, who do you wanna be? they got a bunch of Ninja buddies here." Akio said, willing to let the 'smaller' boy pick first, just like his mommy had taught him. truthfully Naruto hadn't ever watch the show, and looked around the choices, biting his lip. "Ummm er..I dunno..who do you think is cool?" Naruto asked, trying to cover it up. The little guy picked up that Naruto was clueless and giggled a little. 'guess I shoulda figured, he's all about ninja fox.' Akio thought. "Actually you know what? action figures are totally over rated, why don't we play with the stuffies?" he asked/suggested and patted Naruto head. "You'll have to tell me all about who the coolest though with this Ninja fox stuff. I haven't watched it." he added, trying to humor the big baby. Naruto whined a little, but a big grin came across his face. naturally he'd spent A LOT of time watching the show meant for little kids and began to babble away.
Watching from the counter and chatting off and on with the boys mother, who turned out to be named Yui. "So are you really ready to deal with the horrors of changing diapers again? I couldn't get my little Akio potty trained fast enough." she chuckled, watching the boys roar and having a tiger and fox stuffie mash into each other. "I'll admit, it's not going to be a highlight of this, but well.." Minato started, having given a cover story that Naruto wanted to be a little guy again, not that he'd been busted as a diaper pooping pervert, something that would of ended the play date very fast he was sure. "this is what he wants, and who am I to get in the little guys way?" he finished finally. "I guess." Yui said and chuckled. "they DO look cute playing together. we might have to arrange a play date sometime for the two of them." Minato chuckled and nodded, and was going to say something when he noticed the look on Naruto's face as the little guy froze, on his knees, it was the same face his son had made when he'd been a little guy the first time around, and it always happened right before making 'presents for daddy. "if your really sensitive to smelly things, I'd recommend taking a deep breath now." he said to Yui.
Naruto had almost forgotten about the bulky diapers around his hips as he just relaxed and let himself play, totally thinking of the younger boy as a big kid now and gushing over how cool he was as they had Ninja Fox and samurai Tiger bash against each other. it wasn't till his tummy gurgled while he was on his knees that Naruto crashed back down to earth, recalling he was in diapers, and more to the point: his breakfast wanted to make a exit. A muffled toot escaped his behind before he could start to warn Akio but the other boy just giggled. "hehehe uh-oh, Ninja fox is using a gas attack!" the little guy giggled, then paused as he noted the look on Naruto's face. "er..are you oka-" he started to ask. Started to because the 16 year old hunched over and with a gross fart started to fill the seat of his diapers with next to no control. As his waste poured out of him, more solid then the night before at least, the back of the diapers crackled and ballooned out. the onsie which had been fighting to do it's job waved the proverbial white flag and the buttons popped open, his diapies on full display as he filled them rapidly. "G-Going poopie!" Naruto cried out, a hot jet of pee starting to soak the back of the diaper as the logs kept coming. "er..yeah..I got that.." Akio said, rubbing the back of his head, dropping samurai Tiger and holding his nose. "whew! that's worse then chilli day at the daycare!" "I..I sowwy.." Naruto whimpered, grunting and pushing, tears coming back to his eyes. "H-hey! it's ok! poop happens!" Akio said quickly, dropping to one Knee and popping Naruto's paci in his mouth and giving a reassuring smile, even as he still held his nose. "er Mister, I think your son-" Akio called, looking over to the adults, But Minato was already on his way. "i noticed. thank you for looking after little Naruto for me, but I'll take it from here." Minato said and flipped a coin to the boy who giggled and nodded. "Akio I think it's time we left." Yui called and Akio whined, but nodded. "ooook. Bye Naruto! it was fun playing with you! I go to Lil masters daycare if you wanna play again!" he said and waved bye bye. Naruto nodded and suckled, and waved bye bye as his new (and with this new status as a big baby/toddler) only friend left.
If it hadn't of been for the fact Minato was the Hokage, he was sure they would of been flat out asked to leave, but being the head of the village had it's perks and instead the owner merely asked Minato to change the big baby outside. "I uh..the smell is gonna make people think something gone off in here.." the owner and chef said, rubbing the back of his head. "Fair enough, just get our order ready to go then, I think somebody is gonna want a nap soon." Minato said, Patting Naruto's smelly rear as the big toddler whined and blushed. the site of the 16 year old getting changed on the ground, though he had a changing mat under his butt drew attention from people in the streets, though not too many moved in too close due to the stench coming off the diaper perv. "D-Daddy too many people ar-" Naruto started to whine, but then got a paci popped in his mouth and given a look that told him to keep it in or else. "Dear god, what are you feeding him!?!" One little girl cried, having gotten close because she wanted to watch. but once the diaper was opened up and the smell got even worse she had run back to her mommy, burying her face in her mothers side. "It's all the junk food he eats. this ramen is gonna be a last treat for him, after this it's baby food for widdle Naruto." Minato said and chuckled, getting laughs from the crowd and Naruto covered his face. Despite how mortified Naruto was though, his cute little dicklet was poking strait up, this was again something from a wank fantasy and he was clearly torn between hating all of this and thanking his dad around the paci. "Naruto do you have NO shame!? Getting a stiffie while your dad cleans your stinky ass?" Ino called from the crowd, laughing and shaking her head. "he really doesn't. so don't be shocked if he has a 'accident' while I'm cleaning him." the Hokage chuckled. despite the stink and the disgusting site, Minato was quickly realizing his son might not be the only pervert in the family as he slowly and carefully cleaned his little man up. "If you have any number three accidents little man, you will be getting a extra MONTH in diapers." He said softly to his son, and smirked at the mixed look of terror and lust in the boys eyes as he finished wiping the stinky brat down. Balling the diapers up and using the tapes to keep them closed, he made Naruto hold the poopie diaper on his chest while he got out the new diapers. "I know buddy, that can't smell all that great, but your being such a good widdle helper!" Minato said out loud and the crowd laughed again, and to Naruto's total shame THAT was what doomed him to anther month in diapers, as a big dumb toddler, his dicklet twitching and throbbing and with no stimulation firing off a weak watery load with him barely getting any pleasure from it.
Naruto was basically out of it, barely able to recall most of the trip back home. the utter shame and KNOWING he'd doomed himself to extra time in diapers had fried his widde brain. Getting back home Daddy apparently decided that it would be better if he just out the brain fried BABY to bed, and promised that his son's ramen wouldn't go to waste. Naruto just gurgled and nodded and went night night in daddies room, sucking on a ba-ba of apple juice and thinking about what a total pervert loser he was and giggling even as his eyes closed, and soaked his diapie before going sleepie, both with pee pee and making sure it would be 2 extra months in toddler hood.

It doesn’t occur to him until she’s easing herself to the floor, assuming a position of mien supplication on her knees that she’s been working him since he’s come home.
His mouth drains dry, and he couldn’t form a question even if he tried. Always she supplies the answer, quenching his endless thirst. Plucking the ends of his silences and teasing them into his obsessions, the desperate adoration to which he has trouble testifying. Analytical observation be damned — he’s a sham of a shinobi, letting her do this, corner him here.
But it’s something he believes she does better; starts the beguilement hours before with the loving and effervescent notes in which she trills his name, the way her eyes linger on him with a sense of personal, possessive delight.
Jade eyes like glass, lips tumescent and plush from drawn and excruciating touches she’s already given — his ear, the magnificent column of his throat, the sinew and muscle — a fever rising and pink in their cheeks from nothing else but their dance, because she hasn’t kissed him on the mouth once since this began. Lips mapping his body of scars and sorrow as a canvas, the latitude lines which lead her in.
“There’s patients out there, Sasuke-kun. So please be quiet.”
Why she chooses bringing him to the edge in front of others, well, he can only reflect that maybe they’ve had this tendency to play their affection out in a dramatic spectacle for a long time. Childhood, even. Perhaps that’s why their friends stay quiet and play blind and dumb to her brushing his cock with nonchalance in the middle of a vapid, overspun mission debriefing not once, but fucking twice.
“Though unlike you,” she whispers, “I lock the doors.”
He’s been gone for weeks, now traipsing home in the bleak dawn with the others, reporting for debrief and medical under her hungry gaze.
Once it starts happening around others, he knows he’s caught in her strings. Unable to admit even to himself that if she spurned him, stopped pining, he’d come seeking. Crawling, even.
So while Sasuke doesn’t often embarrass himself, much less twice in one day, or otherwise draw attention in the middle of meetings, he’d done so by reacting with aplomb, which means cracking his kneecap on the underside of their table.
He’s fairly sure that dark-haired girl had seen, really seen, and her face lit up like red festival lights. Unable to contain the vile knowledge, she had passed it to Ino as a talisman and Sasuke knows he’s going to hear about this, somehow, the next time he’s on a mission or otherwise sequestered with his idiotic psuedo-friends that really belong to Naruto, that tolerate him in kind. Ino’s the reigning rumor queen and Sakura’s best friend; nothing escapes her notice.
It escapes Naruto’s, though, who actually has the gall to shush him in histrionics in front of half the damn village — the audacity. All about his Hokage recommendation.
And same to Sakura, now, kneeling in front of him:  preening, dragging a flat and soused tongue from the base of him to the tip with eyes that skewer him through keen as polished senbon, forcing a jutting of his hips he can’t hide and a sound in this throat threatening to crack — the audacity.
“Maybe you’ll want to sit for this one.”
Words slip from her lips as dripping silk, laced with the precious and delicate hint of a laugh. Never outright teasing but certainly just rasped and low enough to trigger the primal urge to lay her out on that empty emergency cot.
His exhale comes in tremolo, a sound of weakness that sparks his temper, matches on flint. But it melts away as her fingers replace the cradle of her tongue, navigating, pressuring him back into a well-placed chair.
Even on her knees, she bends him to her bidding.
She pumps him idly, ignoring his stifled noises and groans, regarding him with mellow innocence.
“Who’s coming for you? What are you worried about, Sasuke-kun?”
Soft tip of her thumb dipping to brush the tip, as a pot of ink; hands always soft enough for him but clean and calloused for the medicine. He always imagines her (because of course he does, in lonely caves and arid deserts and cleaning blood off blades, she’s always holding on to his heart) naked, kneeling, shy. And sure, she can do that, does. But her irises gleam sharp and something about that pristine white coat offering only a glimpse of the pink skirt that when she’s on her knees rides up to show the shape of her thighs — and if she would just spread them a little more —
She brings him back, refocuses him with a swipe of her hot tongue over his tip; she savors the tart taste with a moan and he slings a fuck! across the room just a little too loud.
With a sigh, she sucks his taste off her thumb and draws out the motion, lets him watch. She’s here for the glittering black stare, the fury dancing just beneath his skin. Removing it with a pop!, the playful smile pulling the corner of her lips is a brand of teasing he’s relented to more than a man ever likes to admit.
“So hard,” she says delicately, “and yet . . . so easy.”
Stupidly, he tries to respond. His eyes follow hers,  bright and green and never once leaving him as his cock disappears past her pink lips and into the wet mess of her mouth and throat, ripping a noise from him feral and startled. The chair will end as kindling at the rate she’s going, a steady pace and unshaken gaze, slender fingers wrapped around him for the rising and falling and ridealong with her mouth while the other hand grips his knee in a gentle admonition against the urge to grab her by the hair — he’s overstepped, misinterpreted who’s leading once. As he learns in battles, he’s learned by her when to touch.
So, not now. Not yet.
He’s crumbling, ancient ruins disintegrating across time.
He’s a glutton for this, the way she bends him in the vein of punishment because deep down, she knows he’s not the legend, and she’s no saviour; they’re tremulous and in love, humans stripping their flimsy warrior veneer.
If he keeps meeting her eyes, he won’t last another goddamn second. Not with that panting as she catches her breath, tilting back her throat to gulp air before lowering her mouth on him again and he still isn’t allowed to touch her, not yet. Flexes a fist so tight his knuckles pop off in an erratic tempo — but that’s all him, on the flimsy edge of control. He brings his shoulders to his neck and undulates again, curses intertwining with her name, legs readjusting just a bit wider. Slicker this time, finally relenting to a lower, baser layer of himself. She is the only one, and he knows she knows, reducing him to nothing but them, this.
So he watches her bring him back to life, reminding him of the things that are real.
“Oh, fuck me—”
She grins around his cock in her mouth, and the sensation pulls a jutting of his hips and another rough word from his lips.
Does he know, as she pulls him apart and her pink-painted nails catch on the fabric covering his thighs, that she’s absolutely dripping? The buzzing in every atom as she brings him to a plane of existence terrifying and beyond comprehension. Lifting her slender fingers, she continues working him with her mouth, tucking stray locks behind her ear with the quick flick of the wrist.
He reaches for her, wants to brush it away himself; at heart, he tries to be a good man and often a giving one. Lavish, even, but stubborn.
She reasserts their rules, agonizingly pulling him from her wet ministrations and mouth with eyes as jewels, apt to cut.
Sa-Sakura, fuck—
Gazing up at the magnificent column of his throat, the beads of sweat clinging to the ends of his hair, the chair arm that endures the brunt of his strength. Something about the way he stares at her down the regal arch of his nose, struggling not to let his mouth fall open like some common tramp (such a snob, she thinks) to reveal enjoyment. Muscles twitching in tune with her touch: in his forearm, his thigh, and good gods even the one making an intermittent appearance in the beautiful pale canvas beneath the sharp edge of his jaw. It scratches at the surface of his skin, a trembling and unconscious weakness that keeps her slender fingers moving over his shaft, silk and velvet and slick.
Her eyes dart here and there, as if she can behold him all at once:  His cock; the apple of his throat, never spoiling; and his eyes, one scarlet and keen and sketching whatever he’ll hold onto while he alone, whatever he touches himself to when he’s on the other side of the world.
He is melting. He is hers.
His hand reaches for her again; contemplates, and instead grips the muscle of his thigh. The quiet threat of her strength keeps him teetering, back and forth in the motion of waves as she leads him to the ragged edge and relents just enough to let him sink again.
With an angry breath, she presses her fingertips into his chest and flicks him back against the chair with just enough warning vigor to stutter and steal his own. She is taking, and perhaps only a man like this manages to beg in complete silence.
“You’re not being very good, Sasuke-kun.” Her voice is sharp, an admonition.
When he sees the glistening string from her lips to the tip, their fluids, he considers disobeying — what’s the worst she can do, shatter his femur? Bones go back.
She watches him closely, letting their heart rates ebb closer to baseline in an endlessly taut wait before diving back in.
She takes him into her mouth again, and when her hand comes along to cup him underneath he thinks of bending her over her desk, fucking her in some messy and ruinous way, anything to distract him from the shaking in his thighs and hands and the noises he can’t tamp, can’t let out but can’t put back —
And her rhythm could kill him, his hips stuttering off-key, he’s too close, but he’d agreed so stupidly —
Fuck — Sakura — please!
His strained outburst gives her pause.
She blinks up at him, long and slow. Deliberate.
“Please.”
His voice fucking breaks, and he’ll never live this down. Thoughts leave him as he capitulates to everything stupid and base and his rough fingers bury themselves in her locks and they’re soft as he remembers, just like the rest of her except those hands with callouses born of antiseptic but this is worth it to him, he’ll surely be punished but in this world of shadows and deception and missions wrought with contradictions this is real, this is worth it —
to be at her mercy, to fuck her beautiful mouth raw.
And now she’s delicately swiping one of those beautiful hands across her mouth, green eyes verdant and wild with amusement and surprise.
Even knowing this was coming after all, sometimes he’s not so disciplined, in fact he fails when it comes to her more often than not it’s cathartic in itself, the way she regards him with delight despite his failure.
She stands and readjusts her skirt, smooths it down. Eyes surveying him and lingering on those such small things that reveal him, lay his soul bare:  The heat in his face and glittering of his dark eyes, black like pitch; his hand as he tucks himself away. The jumping muscle in his neck. Her gaze flickers to his cock and back.
She curses, because no matter how raw in strength she is he possesses ungodly, stupid speed. The sound of her body pinned against the door, is loud, so loud, and prompts another knock on the door.
“Sasuke—!”
“You think you’ll just do that and get away with it, Sakura?”
“There’s simply no time.”
His fingers splay over her small ones to pin her hand, and she’s trammeled between him and the office door, mouth hot on her neck and seeking skin amid her mess of hair. And of course, he’s hard against the small of her back in a desperate way that leaves her legs unsteady and everything between them quaking, fervor and frenzied ache.
“Weeks,” he hisses against her, “in a wasteland.”
The breath he forces from her is a shudder, a shake. Playing a dangerous game, to break rules he already agreed upon for this round; after all, they both have legendary methods of bequeathing consequences.
“If you disobey me, you’ll be s-sorry.” Her voice is a bite, but wavering.
He groans into the kisses he’s leaving against the place her hairline joins the skin, leading into her ear, a sensitive juncture he espied that first night of which he’ll never, ever lose knowledge.
The knocking continues, louder this time.
“I want you here.”
“You lost. Now you wait,” she says. “And you’d better not touch yourself until I’m there.”
In a quick movement she slips around under his mismatched eyes, now facing him with her back against the door.
Her voice scant above a whisper when she insists,
“When you’re home, I only want it to be me.”
This is how a man breaks; this is how his knees shake.
.
.
.
“How does he still make you so flustered?”
“Pig, please.”
“You have a big brain, but you’re not good at hiding anything.”
Tossing her blonde hair over her shoulder, she wiggles an index finger in what she thinks is a surreptitious way and asks quietly, “Why does he look so dazed?”
“I guess . . . I still make him nervous.”
“Over a post-mission physical? Big baby,” Naruto interjects, sticking out his tongue.
Sasuke scowls, turning away from them with a huff; Naruto snickers, and Kiba lets out a laugh closer to a bark.
“Doctor, lover, you’ve seen every inch of him.” Ino sighs. “I wonder.” Bringing another finger to pair with her index, she waves them and lowers her voice. “Did you try what I suggested, with the—”
Sakura elbows her so hard the clipboard in her hands goes flying; Ino bobbles it and hisses:
“Hey, no need for that!” Brandishing the papers, she huffs. “And you need these, they’re your dispatch orders!”
“Dispatch?” A flicker of concern crosses her face. “You mean I’m . . . going in the field?”
Kiba’s expression is blatantly irritated. “Uh, can I get checked out so I can fuckin’ leave? Got a report to write.”
Both women turn to look at him, glowering, and in unison snap:
“Shut up!”
“Ew, stop it you two,” Naruto whines.
Sakura folds her arms and sticks out her tongue at him in return. “Stop what?”
He gestures between his teammates, face screwed up in a nauseated expression. “This! I can feel it.”
Sasuke turns on his heel and stalks down the hallway.
Naruto’s waving goodbye to the others and following him, babbling away in his ear, but as they approach the corner and Sasuke’s forced to turn his eyes drift to her lithe, distracting legs and she crosses one in front of the other as he watches. He doesn’t miss the way the bright hem skims the muscle in her pale thigh or the serene, easy manner in which she twitches her white coat.
He lingers for a moment and finds her staring back with a soft smile trying for inscrutable, but failing to hide such unadorned affection.
Lips puffy, faintly painted in the shade of strawberry wine, knees still bright and pink.
