why'd you change some of the pokemon species? i get the goat one for tubbo and the pig for techno, but could we hear about your inspo for the others?

so a few of these are just 'yeah that fits them' but a few of them are more thought-out. wilbur for example is an umbreon not just for the vibes, but also because umbreon is a pokemon that evolves through love during the night. in the future, day never comes. the sun will never rise- this wilbur will never have his sunrise... (or will he teehee) and so wilbur evolves because he cares for tommy into the only thing he can. umbreon also acts as a small light for tommy in the dark future and so theres another connection of those two being all they have.

as for tommy, wilbur soot the guy has compared tommy to a zigzagoon multiple times, and the fandom generally has come to the consensus that its the Tommy Pokemon, and so i went with that. also a thieving little raccoon dog is pretty fitting, especially with the ability pickup lol

ranboo is an absol because of the black and white but also because of the omen aspect of the pokemon. absol get a bad rep of having caused disasters when in reality they can sense when something bad is going to happen and show up as a warning. i think its pretty fitting that ranboo would be the most recent apprentice at the guild before clingyduo as a warning of whats to come.

dream is a hisuian zoroark for a few reasons. one is i think the normal/ghost type fits him INCREDIBLY well. the other is the illusion ability that allows for dream to be incredibly manipulative. the final reason is the dex entry for hisuian zoroark: "With its disheveled white fur, it looks like an embodiment of death. Heedless of its own safety, Zoroark attacks its nemeses with a bitter energy so intense, it lacerates Zoroark's own body." i just think that fits him a lot.

the others are just vibe based i dont really have a reason for them.

- Techno’s team is all around balanced with hard hitters and one that is basic a ‘fuck you’ to those who like to one hit KO things.

- Techno’s partner is Aegislash and he does have a secondary team he travels with.

- Phil is a hard Attack hitter and unless you can match his attacks with defense, you’re hurting.

- His son is Tommy, who grew up being trained by both Techno and Phil. Tommy hopes to give Techno a battle he won’t forget. Techno secretly is hoping for that day.

- Eret likes to change the battle field to fit her advantage.

- Eret also is a Pokémon contest queen, and is Ranboo’s idol.

- Eret is a heavy Special Attack user too and is a drastic change from the last two fighters. Hence why he’s second to last often fought.

- Connor is often considered the ‘weakest’ of the Elite four. Even though he’s beaten many trainers dreams of facing Techno at the first round. He’s rather care free and silly, but isn’t called the Electric Boom for nothing.

- He tends to be an all around type of fighter to get you into the idea of what you’ll be facing after him.

- Bad often helps a a cafe his boyfriend, Skeppy, runs. I mean even Elite four members have lives.

- Bad’s Pokémon are known to stall the game as he has a lot of healing moves and buffing states moves. He can be annoying.

- Reason for this choice of elect four is that Orgins has a lot of fairy, dark, psychic, dragon, and ghost type Pokémon.

- it is said the reason’s religion and Pokémon are shrouded in mystery and mysticisms.

- and there has never been an electric type elite four member that I know of. Lol.

- Connor was originally going to be a Dragon or Ghost type user. But I’m wanted it to be unique and balanced.

- Phil often helps out at the Pokémon schools by coming in and letting kids see how to best connect with your Pokémon. His Honchkrow, Brian, loves the kids.

- Connor helps out with the power companies and archeologists groups.

- His partner Pokémon is often in Low Key Form. Reflects his own nature.

I'd just like to go on a mini rant - I promise it's a good rant this time!

I saw someone give Techno a Lopunny in a Pokemon au and words can not describe how much I absolutely adore that.

First of all, it's a rather neat reference to the Origins SMP. Second of all, Lopunny is a fucking badass. I'm not kidding. I snagged one for my team in Moon early in the game cause I wanted a normal type, and it absolutely DESTROYED. Which brings me to my next point-

Third of all, most of Lopunny's strength comes from loyalty/friendship to it's trainer. Max out it's friendship and teach it return, and it can one-shot a good amount of enemies! Granted, I almost always over-level my Pokemon, but can you really look me in the eyes and tell me that Technoblade, the man who had over a stack of wither skulls, would not be constantly training his Pokemon?

This concludes the end of my rant. I just absolutely love Lopunny, and realized it would be the perfect partner for Techno.

Tommy and Tubbo and Ranboo and drista are all rivals, and travel together. They do contest and gym battles. Contest could be tubbo and ranboo, while gyms are tommy and drista. Maybe they all collect try out the others specialty's but they have fun.

Tubbo: Bug. starter a female combee

Drista: Grass. starter treeko

Ranboo: Dragon. Starter Noibat

Tommy: General. Starter Eevee.

Fundy is the professor. He is a former battle trainer. Maybe champion? his elite four was skeppy, eret, nikki, and Awesamdude, a retired trainer now who will help train random trainers and their pokemon

Funny used eevee's and eeveelutions.

region is split into two areas, l'manberg and the smp.

The evil team is team tyranny who wants to take over the region and rule as they see fit. Members are Jschlatt, Quakity, and george.

Ninja was a visiting champion from a different region. So is Mr.Beast. Karl is part of beasts elite four but is taking a break here in Morpheus

More pokemon stuff. 

Tubbo has a Glaceon, Valley, and an Umbreon, Glowstone.

Likewise, Tommy has a Flareon, Oak, and an Espeon, Obsidian. 

The two found a litter of young eevees who’s parents had been killed, and took the little pokemon in. 

Valley and Oak evolved before they came to the SMP, but Glowstone and Obsidian would only come to evolve in the war, where Tubbo whispered all his worries into his partner’s fur in the dead of the night, and Tommy trusted his to watch his back and guard him from daylight’s threats.

Spinz and Spunz weren’t fighting pokemon. Regardless, they became casualties of the war. They came back, but shook at even the mention of a battle. Tubbo did his best to make sure they’d never be involved in such a thing again.

Eret has a Froslass, Blue Lace, who’s affection tends to consist of freezing her favored people in icy statues and keeping them close. Eret’s been trying to train her out of it, with varying success. He’s slowly teaching her that having people be able to laugh with you is much better than simply possessing them.

Tubbo’s pokemon like to change the weather to his advantage. In the war, warm sunny days would become freezing cold blizzards, where he could pop out of nowhere and strike unseen.

They continue to do this once Snowchester is built. One time the Syndicate comes over just a bit after he took down some pillagers, and Niki almost gets her throat sliced open by a frazzled Tubbo popping out of thin air-Techno respected him a bit more after that, but was also warier.

Punz, Purpled, and Tubbo friendship. Tubbo is friends and allies with both of them, and vice versa. 

Bee doesn’t really like Michael honestly. She can’t really see the point of him, and he doesn’t do much to earn his keep, nor can she force him to. But she knows he makes Tubbo happy, knows her boy considers the strange child as his own, and would want her to protect him as such. So she grudgingly does-nothing will hurt the child under her watch, if only for her boy’s sake.

He grows on her. Eventually.

I was doing some mote thinking on the mini Pokémon au today and trying to brainstorm which Pokémon the five would be. Sapnap would definitely be a Pancham, that I figured out instantly. Maybe Tubbo would be a Teddiursa? I think one of their Pokédex entries says that their paws are constantly covered in honey, and so they probably like bees. Maybe Ranboo would be one of the Galar fossil Pokémon? I’m still trying to think of a good one for him. I still need to do some brainstorming on Dream and Techno, but I wanted to get your thoughts as well.

For me, I used Reuniclus and Mimikyu for Dream, and Emboar and Bisharp for Techno! And yes, a Teddiursa would work well for Tubbo, I never even thought of it but that's great. Ranboo is,,, interesting, and I try to think

That yes the Galar fossils are GREAT for him, I feel like Tyrantrum, as well as Espeon, Espurr (it doesnt blink which is funny bc Ranboo diesnt have eyelids) and Umbreon work well too.

OK OK IVE GOTTEN UR ASKS I WILL DISCUSS THE MYSTERY DUNGEON AU.

LONG FUCKING POST INCOMING. AND MAJOR MAJOR FUCKING SPOILERS FOR POKEMON MYSTERY DUNGEON EXPLORERS.

tommy is a zigzagoon. he is the human from the future. he wakes up on the beach and is found by tubbo, who is a skiddo bc my heart demands it. tubbo has his special artifact, and convinces tommy to become part of an exploration team with him, after fighting off george (abra) and sapnap (pangoro).

they make it to the guild, run by techno (emboar) with phil (corviknight) as the chatot of this au. the two meet the fellow guild members: fundy (nickit), jack manifold (pawniard, niki (houndoom), puffy (mega ampharos), billzo (pancham), aimsey (sentret), freddie (sandshrew??? this ones up for debate let me know), and a little half shiny zorua named ranboo.

dream is our team skull skuntank and dusknoir and darkrai, because while i wouldnt have liked it all being one man in the main game, having it be dream in this au makes it so much more premeditated, which is VERY c!dream. hes on the dream team with george and sapnap, and he is an albino zoroark (ALSO I JUST SAW THE HISUIAN ONES HELLO?? YEAH HES THAT. THATS COOL AS FUCK I HADNT SEEN IT YET). he doesnt know who tommy is at this point by the way, but he does know its fun to bully him and tubbo, and so they hop on the expedition for fogbound lake.

meanwhile tommy and tubbo quickly bond, and when they head out to fogbound lake, they are teamed up with ranboo. they become quick friends, but ranboo is not a part of the team yet. we will get there trust me. eret is the guardian of fogbound lake, and is a galarian articuno. they summon an illusion of kantonian articuno to fight, and tommy and tubbo defeat it. eret tells them and the rest of the guild about fogbound lake, and to keep it a secret.

news breaks out about time starting to stop in various parts of the region, and they say that there's an umbreon on the loose, stealing the time gears. yeah. thats wilbur. they all start working together to apprehend wilbur, going to the northern desert to meet foolish, who is a galarian zapdos (but he can still shoot lightning trust me. i make the rules.) he tells tommy and tubbo that wilbur is heading to niki (galarian moltres) in the crystal cave.

before leaving, dream talks to tommy and tubbo, and learns who tommy is. he smiles under his mask.

they head to the crystal cave, and they manage to trap wilbur. wilbur has no idea who who tommy is because he isnt the human he knew from the future, and tries to attack and kill tommy. they capture wilbur though, and dream moves to take him back to the future, but not before grabbing tommy and tubbo as well, dragging them in.

they wake up trapped in the future, and the scene plays out exactly the same as canon. they are tied to posts with rope and sableye slash their way through it slowly. wilbur breaks them out, and theyre on the run again. wilbur learns who tommy is, and breaks down, shocked at what has happened to his partner in crime, and horrified that dream essentially made them try to kill each other. wilbur tells them that the time gears needed to be stolen, to be put back in the temporal tower in order to fix time, before it ends up like the bleak future theyre in. the three of them run and hide from dream and his sableye, and make it to karl, a celebi, who can take them back. however, before they can escape, we meet dialga, aka dream xd. xd shatters the first portal, and dream nearly has them, before karl martyrs himself for them, opening up a second portal, and sending them back to the past.

the three are in hiding now, not wanting to let anyone from the guild know about their presence out of fear of being arrested when time is of the essence. but they soon realize that they cant do it without the help of the guild, and go to phil and techno for help. after they gather all of the time gears, techno and phil bring them to brine cave, which is where i have combined a second plot thread together: crescelia is now also the role of lapras, and is kristin. she saved techno years ago when the two were exploring the cave, and phil calls in a favor from her. kristin takes them to the hidden land, where i decide to make make my first plot difference. because the idea of separating wilbur from tommy breaks my fucking heart, im having karl aka celebi come through the time hole and drag dream through. yes its not as impactful as when grovyle lets go of his partner, and hands you over to your new one. but consider: they are brothers your honor.

the three of them then go to temporal tower, and fight xd. they defeat him, and even though time is saved, because tommy and wilbur were never meant to exist now- what with the future being prevented- they start to disappear. and ill put in a direct quote from when the main character in pmd dies and just. ough.

Player: Thank you for everything [Partner]. I'm glad we got to train together at the guild. I'm glad we got to go on adventures together. I'm glad... I got to know you. I'm so lucky I got to be your friend.

Partner: I feel the same [Player]! To me, you're more important than anything!

Player: Yes, I feel the same way. Even after I disappear from here, I will never forget you. [fades away]

so tubbo returns home, tommy and wilbur gone. he wants to continue being a guild member, and so he forms a new team with ranboo. the two grow close, and one of the pokemon they end up fighting together is a dubwool named schlatt, who had rigged his base with blast seeds. crushing them, tubbo got caught in the crossfire, his body permanently covered in scars from the explosion. ranboo helps him recover, and the two grow so close that they do indeed get married, fall in love, and end up with a mimikyu that mimics a tepig that they named michael.

months later, tubbo goes back to the beach where he and tommy first met, and breaks down, missing his friend. xd (who was freed from the corruption once time was fixed) sees this, and feels regret. he brings back tommy and wilbur, and the two sob, embracing each other once again.

not going into the postgame plot because this post is already massive ill do that another time LMAO

Favorite Color(s):

Purple by far! I think I decided on purple when I was in middle school. It was during a time when I was trying to grow my own personality because I was always a quiet, do as your told kid. I think my reasoning was “What’s a color that’s pretty that I don’t see enough?” And thus, purple. Very satisfied with my choice. Currently typing on the keyboard and my keyboard cover is a purple ombre, my blanket is a dark purple, and I’m working on getting purple sea serpent armor in RLCraft (minecraft). If I had to pick a secondary color...hmmm...maybe today it’s light blue.

Last Song I Listened to: 

I believe it was this one. Was trying to sing along to it in the shower. Found it while watching a twitch stream of X33N. I’m really digging the techno beats of Scandroid and the story they’re telling.

Favorite Musician(s):

I think this one changes a lot as I continue to slowly explore and re-listen to songs. But one that I consistently hold on to is Daft Punk. Scandroid has captured my attention more recently. Oh, also Fall Out Boy! There are several others but those three come to my mind first.

Uuuummm...may have to think a while. Oh yeah! Saw Zombieland almost a month ago on Netflix. It was funny, I’d say it’s a decent choice. I always enjoy crass humor.

Last Show I Watched:

Does anime count for what you mean? If so, then it was Sword Art Online: War of Underworld. I’ve enjoyed SAO for a long time, and read quite a bit ahead in the light novels. It was really nice seeing it get animated, especially this season. Best girl Asuna is back!!! (Not to disrespect Alice or Eugeo, they’re favorite characters too.)

My Favorite OC:

Huh...seems like I really only have the one choice. My D&D character who is an Aarakocra Monk. He’s really friendly and a bit bird-brained (pun intended).

Sweet, Spicy, Savory:

All things equally and not to an extreme. Recently some godly, overly sweet cinnamon rolls have been on my mind. They’re about a five minute walk from my house so it’s hard not to give in all the time. But then I go to the gym.

Sparkling Water, Tea, Coffee:

Mmm, I think either tea or coffee. It depends. For tea, something soothing and herbal or sweet and zingy. For coffee, something overly sugary and with cream/milk.

Pets:

Never had a living pet. But I do have a family of plush otters and twin plush umbreons (Penumbra and Totality).

the thing with pokemon aus is you gotta consider how much training everyone would actually put in for their teams or if theyd even have a full team of 6.

ranboo is known for having maxed out armor, so you can bet he’s rockin a full team with some switch-outs, whereas i feel like tommy only would have a max of around 4 pokemon that hes really attached to. tubbo probably goes from only having 1 or 2, to having a full team of 6 to mimic the showchester arc. 

tommy absolutely has a pikachu i just. it fits him so well. ranboo WAS gonna have an umbreon but that felt a little too self indulgent to give him my alltime fave, so instead im giving him both forms of meowstic. tubbo would of course have a skiddo but more importantly tubbo is rockin’ the swampert with the megastone i think. i want him to have a lapras. i just want it he deserves a lapras.

for characters like sam we did just decide he has a turtonator, but i also feel like hes rockin the kommo-o or a similarly tough land-bound dragon type. 

sapnap has a typhlosion. pure fire type. he has less than 6 pokemon but theyre all a way higher level than others to compensate. 

dream’s lineup is only classic kanto pokemon to represent being the start of the server, and some of the first few people will only use mainly gen 1-3 pokemon. hes got both a charizard and a blastoise. 

george is the one with the venusaur, and i feel like he has around 3-5 pokemon.

wilbur does something similar to tubbo where he starts off with some small pokemon but then as he spirals, he ends up with probably some kind of pseudo. im thinking maybe altaria because despite how strong it is, it mainly uses its voice like perish song and stuff, and i think that could apply in a fun way

i rlly like that one person’s techno team but techno is strategic. and his house is full of animals in canon, so i wanna have him have a shit ton of pokemon he brings to any situation, and on doomsday he disregards the 6 team rule altogether. some other pokemon are a classic dragonite, a zoroark (thats edward), and a couple pokemon with megas.
