There’s an H-Mart by my work and I go there for lunch sometimes and every time I think about how crazy TK probably goes every time he goes to H-Mart. Like he probably came home with three bags of snackies the first time he discovered the H-Mart a couple blocks away from the loft. And Carlos was baffled, like, what is all this stuff and why do we need a year’s supply of Pocky and TK is just like, “you’ll see.” 

And now TK will come home with a haul and Carlos will roll his eyes and give him shit. But then a couple nights later TK will wake up to an empty bed and he’ll go out to the living room and find Carlos going ham on a package of matcha Kit-Kats. And TK won’t tease, won’t shake his head and say, “told you so.” He’ll just sit beside Carlos on the couch and scratch his head and let Carlos feed him bites of Kit-Kat til he’s ready to go back to bed.

Tarlos Headcanon

So my headcanon is that next next season when tarlos have married, Carlos is on a call at some house. Not sure what situation it is, but it’s bad. Carlos notices a 3 year-old boy hiding under the bed and manages to lure him out. Somehow, the boy is orphaned and Carlos and TK take the boy in.

He’s a funny little boy with curly hair like Carlos and reminds them of a puppy when he’s confused. He can talk, however they have a hard time understanding him as he pronounces his “F” sounds as “B” sounds and “C” sounds as “T” sounds. He’s a picky eater ‘cause he only wants chicken nuggets. TK shouts in victory when he finally gets him to eat spaghetti or beans. Carlos struggles getting him to take a nap but this little boy is stubborn. They’re both ecstatic when he starts calling them Daddy and Papa.

Then, they officially adopt him as their son.

hopefully, we get to see Carlos and TK as parents soon. 🥹🥹🥹🥹

Headcanon: the Tarlos break-up fight was a prolonged version of the dinner scene, with Carlos not hearing what TK was saying and TK storming out because they were not on the same page

You know what? That’s exactly it.

Carlos brought TK to the loft, said, “It’s ours!” and TK’s hackles immediately went up. He dug his heels into the ground and told Carlos that it wasn’t going to work like this, that this is something they should’ve talked about, and Carlos just cannot see why it’s such a big deal. They were looking for a home together, why is it such a fiasco to opt for buying the place they loved so much when the initial idea was to rent their next place?

And TK who, as much as I love him, has a tough time getting his point across without getting heated, didn’t fully explain it properly, right? Carlos tries to reason with him but TK continues to get more and more defensive until, “You’re not hearing me!” gets shouted and after a long, quiet moment he says, “This isn’t going to work. I can’t do this,” and walks out.

And Carlos is left not getting it, because while he doesn’t communicate the best either (though he’s learning, as we’ve seen), just stands there so confused.

No, he didn’t hear TK, but that doesn’t mean that TK didn’t explain himself well either.

These two just couldn’t get to a civil point to hash it out, and it ended in heartbreak.

this is unedited and ill probably add to this scene. but have a very rough draft friends!!

Carlos was sitting on the couch, reading his romance novel, legs crossed, wearing just a pair of grey jogger sweatpants, with no shirt, glistening, clearly having finished working out not long ago. As he heard the door sliding on the track, Carlos placed his bookmark to save his place and got up to greet his husband.

“Hi, sweetheart, how was your day?” Carlos kissed his husband’s cheek.

TK shrugged, “It was all right. I’m just tired.”

“Are you hungry? Do you want dinner?” Carlos asked.

“Eh not yet. I just want to relax with you.” TK placed a hand on each of Carlos’s cheeks and brought him in for a kiss. “I missed you.”

“You saw me this morning, but I missed you too.” Carlos took TK's hands and intertwined their fingers and led him to the couch. Carlos laid down first and TK crawled on top of him, laid his head on Carlos’s bare chest and nuzzled in, shortly after fading into slumber.

Been thinking a lot about not only TK using Carlos’ bicep as his personal ‘emotional support bicep’ which 🥹🥹🥹 - also thank you and creds to @paperstorm for making the huge contribution to the whole entire fandom with this description -

But, also about the whole thing from Carlos’ perspective and how Carlos reacts to it, and feels about it, makes my stomach do a little swoop every time I come across a gif from either the wedding ep or the scene where they’re waiting for news on Marjan

Like, I’m thinking about semi-lonely, tense pre- and during season 1 Carlos needing someone, not just to love and be loved by but to take care of and hold and be there for🥺 Like we all know Carlos must work a lot to maintain those biceps and of course this is probably for his own sake bc he likes them, and to be good at his job etc but,,

He’s obviously gotten some attention from it, guys who finds him sexy and maybe likes a little power play

And he can appreciate that especially when ‘guys’ are in fact TK who enjoys it and wants him to use his strength a little bit to press his hands into the mattress above his head: (🔥)

Or to ‘twist his arm’ 😏😏

But more than that S1 Carlos longed for his body (huge bicep) to be appreciated in different ways. To be the one that someone (TK) needed to be held by, to be the shoulder (bicep) that someone (TK) could cry on, and lean on (both figuratively:

- He needed to be that for someone (TK), to take on that role in a healthy, loving relationship. And he certainly got that from TK. But he got even more than that, more than he could have dreamed of, bc with TK he’s also become a shoulder (bicep) to sleep on:

Not just in the domestic privacy of their own home, but in public, among a wonderful new group of friends and family:

As well as a shoulder (bicep) to both lean on and rub their thumb back and forth on for self soothing:

In short, that work paid off exponentially as he got to be someone’s (TK’s) ‘emotional support bicep’. 🥲

And what completely gets me is the way he’s so casual about it in this last one. Like I imagined the first couple of times Carlos in his head would have been like ‘oh, okay, my bicep is now your pillow, I see, I’ll stay as still as possible or react in some way like by kissing your hair or something or move so you’re more comfortable’, and ‘oh okay, you’re not letting go, you really must love that bicep, I’ll buy a permanent gym membership and think of that ever time I work out, this bicep shall be forever dedicated to your needs’ while in his head being all 😳🫠🥰😌🥹🥹🥰

But now he barely reacts, it’s so natural. He just barely registers that ‘oh, my adorable, emotional boyfriend (husband😭) (TK who I know in and out and who know me the same way😭) is (once again/per usual😭) reserving my bicep for emotional support reasons while he cries on me, imma let him do his thing while I grab his ankle, both to comfort TK,’ - but also bc while TK needs to physically lean on someone (Carlos) when he’s emotional (or sleepy, or just, it’s right there anyway), what Carlos needs it something (someone) (TK) to hold on to, to tether himself to bc it’s overwhelming for him to lose control of his emotions.

And TK is the perfect rock for him because he’s not only so open about his emotions, and an adorable kitten boyfriend (husband), but because he’s also and at the same time incredibly strong and prepared to catch Carlos at any time😭

The naturalness of it all just says so much about how long they’ve been together and built their relationship, how well they know and how comfortable they are with each other and how they’re perfect for each other and fit together like two pieces of a puzzle! There are some thoughts here about different kinds and ways of embodying ‘masculinity’ and vulnerability but I’m not nearly eloquent enough rn to go into that..

Anyway, with TK, Carlos, now without even giving it a second thought, has gotten the relationship he dreamed of and more, has gotten exactly the appreciation for his strength and body (biceps) that S1 Carlos longed for and worked so hard for, and gets to take on the role in his relationship that he needs and be who he always were and I’m just 😭🥹🥹🥰🥰🫠 slowly melting away over it.

Okay but what if instead of having children, TK and Carlos become Animal People. It was only a matter of time, what with TK's adoration of all animals. And Carlos had always enjoyed most animals (not the the degree of TK and his bringing home a flesh eating lizard, but still). Of course, it began with Lou II, but overtime, and often unintentionally, they began gathering more and more pets.

Most of them were TK’s fault. There was that stray kitten TK found trapped in a gutter on a call who he couldn't bear to part with. And TK finds an injured bird outside that he insists they nurse back to health and release. But then, there's an old police dog who needs rehoming and Carlos has always wanted a dog, so they gain yet another furry friend.

Eventually, they have to leave the loft because their lease doesn't allow for all of them, and as hard as TK tries, he can’t pass off a cat and a German Shepherd as the same pet.

And once they get more space, along with all the animals they adopt over the years, they also foster and take-in animals in need when they can. Carlos makes TK promise not to adopt any stray they foster (he breaks that promise immediately). Still, they do have animals come and go. They even foster a snake for a brief period of time which Carlos refuses to be within a few feet of.

And soon they have this little family, maybe not in the conventional way, but they are both dads to plenty of pets who they treat like children anyway.

I adore the everloving fuck out of the proposal scene in 3×18 buuut, it would've been hilarious if, when T.K says "I'll just leave everything to my husband", Carlos had responded with "Wait you're married too?" And the season ends with it cutting to black there. Now that I typed this out doesn’t seem that funny but yeah.

“You did?” Carlos leans forward, keen for all the information.

“He looked like River Phoenix. I pretty much cartwheel up and down the Kinsey Scale.” Gutiérrez wafts a hand back and forth, as if to represent a laid-back flipflop of sexuality. “I met my ex-wife a few weeks later, and that was that.”

“Fair enough,” Carlos says as he goes to take another sip of coffee.

“So, I’m open minded. And that’s what your dad did – he talked to people who were open minded. I guess, bit by bit, by the time you met your husband, he was feeling better about it all. The fact that he wasn’t seeking an echo chamber should mean something to you.

Okay, so coincidentally there was an article in the NYT last week about the best restaurants in Austin, and I think that's what they do - they pick a restaurant. Sometimes it's an old favorite, sometimes it's the new buzzy opening. Sometimes it's somewhere casual and they wear jeans and a nice shirt (or shorts and a light shirt - although, actually we've never seen them in shorts, I'm extrapolating about their summer wear because Austin gets hot. Anyway). Sometimes it's somewhere more formal, and they get dressed up. They don't strike me as suit and tie kind of guys, but dress pants, a nice (ironed) shirt, a blazer.

They like to go out and try new foods. They each get something different so they can trade plates halfway through dinner. They share dessert.

I think sometimes it's spur of the moment, but I also think they have planned date nights. They both have shift work jobs, which means that sometimes you have to plan when you're both going to be home, and not tired, and having a regular date night on the calendar is something they can both look forward to.

Hi.

So, I am thinking about writing a 911 Lone Star fan-fiction. Instead of taking place and starting in 2020, it would start in 2010 with Owen moving Tk to Texas as he is starting high school and is fourteen or fifteen. Owen is still creating a new firehouse and such.

It doesn’t actually say what year Tk was actually born so I going to play with it and I was ninth grade in 2010 so, maybe it is also me wanting to project. It is said he was born December of 1993, 1994, 1995 or 1996. Would people enjoy reading this kind of fan-fiction?

Also, I will try to update manic pixie dream prince my Stranger Things byler omega-verse fan-fiction before the new year. This past year was really hard, I fell into a long depression and been going through a quarter life crises. I found out along with my adhd, I have anxiety and depression. I am starting to get better and get my life back on track and that includes getting back into my hobbies.

If anyone wants to send me their omega-verse head-canons or questions about Stranger Things or 911 or 911 Lone Star or prompts I would be happy to read them and responded. TK brought home tacos from their favorite food truck that’s close to their loft. Tacos were a comfort food to Carlos, and comfort food was exactly what Carlos needed tonight. Carlos loved cooking, but he’d really fallen out of it lately, so they’ve been relying on take-out when TK worked long shifts, eating at the firehouse, or TK cooking on his days off. TK could cook but he wasn’t anywhere near as good at it as Carlos or Paul was. They were both exhausted today, so tacos it was.

“Hi, Baby, I brought tacos,” TK set his keys down and greeted his husband.

“Oh, good, I’m starving,” Carlos responded flatly.

“Did you eat at all today?”

Carlos looked down at the floor, “No… But I did shower and nap a little, without a nightmare, I’d say that’s progress.”

TK gave him a tight hug, “That’s amazing, babe. Small steps, remember.” He kissed Carlos and ran his fingers through his hair. “I’m proud of you every day. Let’s eat.”

Tarlos headcannons pt. 3

-When Carlos was 16, his appendix ruptured after a week of pushing himself to go to school with a ‘stomach bug’. He spent two weeks in the hospital, and scared his parents sick. Andrea told TK this story after he woke up from his coma, and all he could think was ‘that explains the scar there’.

-When TK is nervous around Carlos, he’ll fiddle with Carlos’ fingers, running fingers up and down them etc. Carlos thinks it’s sweet, and has been able to easily pick up when he’s nervous. He just sticks his hand out subtly for TK.

-Andrea absolutely adores TK. Every time She calls or Carlos calls, she’ll always ask how TK is, sometimes before she asks how Carlos is. Carlos jokes about how she’s got a new favourite son.

-Carlos is a huge great british bake off fan, and immediately gets TK obsessed with the show.

-Andrea did wind up having a very serious conversation to TK over breaking up with Carlos. After the conversation ended, Carlos whispered to TK ‘I’ve never heard her so mad before’.

-Carlos has the world worst hay fever.

-TK could barely remember his own phone number, but knows Carlos’ off by heart.

-Carlos is a mitski fan. He also listens to a lot of Hozier.

-TK blushes easily. Like a teenager in their first relationship. Carlos recorded a show he very briefly mentioned so he wouldn’t miss it? Bright red. Carlos made him a cup of coffee without asking? Flushed for an hour. Carlos randomly bought him something? Never forgets it. Carlos compliments him? Flustered, extremely flustered. People think Carlos is doing this on purpose, but Carlos doesnt realise he doesn’t have to try.

-Carlos can be completely oblivious. One time, Carlos was grocery shopping with TK, and a women started subtly flirting with Carlos. TK noticed immediately and made it very obvious who he was to Carlos without saying it. As she walked away, TK pointed it out to Carlos and all Carlos had to say was ‘i thought she was being nice,’. 

-TK was a theatre kid in high school. Carlos was on the football team.

-Carlos doesn’t know how to use emojis. He texts like an old man.

-TK is a huge Pixar fan. His favourite Pixar movie is Ratatouille.

-Carlos bruises super easy. He’s absolutely covered in bruises, just all over. Loads on his shin. TK comments about the possibility of Carlos having an iron deficiency, cause no normal person should bruise this easy. But after a blood test, turns out he doesn’t. Still a mystery to this day.

-Despite being a paramedic, TK has a crippling fear of other people being sick. Like throwing up. He’s fine (as fine as one person could be) when he’s sick, but can’t do it with other people. Gets incredibly tense and anxious. When Carlos caught a horrible flu for the first time with TK in his life, it was a slight disaster. TK wanted and was very determined to look after Carlos. But when one of his new symptoms was not being able to keep anything down, it became a little harder from him to stay focused.

-Carlos was pretty short for all of middle school, but during the summer before high school, he had a very sudden and huge growth spurt. Like almost an entire foot sort of spurt.

-TK was a massive one direction fan, whilst they were band. But if you ask him now, he’d deny it.

-Carlos has incredibly sensitive hearing. Can’t not stand loud noises. Terrified of fireworks, likes the concept of concerts, can’t actually go to them.

-TK’s phone is literally never charged. But always has enough battery to answer Carlos. Drives the team insane.

-TK had a adult onset allergy to pineapple. He would eat loads as a kid. Always in his lunch box, gallons of pineapple and tropical juice in the fridge, loves pineapple sweets. So when he has a horrible reaction to eating pineapple, it really threw him through a loop.

-When TK moves to Texas, that’s when he learns how easily he burns. Carlos just tans, TK is extremely jealous.

-TK s is left handed. Carlos is right handed. So Carlos will hold TK’s right hand, so he can use his left hand.
