Article: 'Legendary Baldur's Gate and Mass Effect veterans team up for a "high challenge" D&D book that sends you straight to hell'
Excerpt:
"The designer of Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, Dragon Age: Origins, and Star Wars: The Old Republic, James Ohlen, has written a new D&D adventure with Children of Time author Adrian Tchaikovsky.
Called 'Chains of Asmodeus,' this official 286-page sourcebook (which is available on Dungeon Master's Guild) sends your characters into the Nine Hells to save a soul – theirs, or that of a loved one. It also serves as something of a reunion for ex-Bioware staffers. Alongside Baldur's Gate designer James Ohlen, Drew Karpyshyn (who was involved with Mass Effect and many of its tie-in novels) is listed as a writer on the project.
While it's primarily available as a PDF download, Chains of Asmodeus will be given the print-on-demand treatment 'soon.' Either way, all proceeds go directly to Extra Life, the charity that provides medical care for children.
Designed for players levelled between 11 and 20, this will be more of a challenge than most Dungeons and Dragons books; alongside more than 50 'High Challenge' monsters that would very much like to kill you, adventurers will have to battle through a new item corruption mechanic as well as the Archdevil Asmodeus himself, Lord of the Nine. As those lofty titles would suggest, he's bad news.
Such bad news, in fact, that he spends most of his time plotting to entrap major figures like politicians, rulers, and adventurers. That's where you come in - he's either caught your soul in a pact or has captured the soul of a loved one to coerce you. (An average Tuesday for characters in the best tabletop RPGs, in other words.)
If the Nine Hells sound familiar, that's because they're the setting of the Baldur's Gate 3 opening. They also feature heavily in the game's D&D prequel, Baldur's Gate: Descent into Avernus, so Chains of Asmodeus could serve as a good add-on for that adventure.
If you want to check it out for yourself, you can grab Chains of Asmodeus for $29.99 here."

Scrolling through some terf shit to block them off and I found this wonderful quote
“Trans activists keep saying "sex isn't real Scientists have disproven it! There's no difference between male and female bodies!"
HUH??????2)-5 Last I checked we are ACUTELY AWARE that sex is a real thing, it’s just not as binary as you think it is and also gender is a different anthropological concept. God these straw men could keep away every crow in the tristate area
People take "sex is not as set-in-stone and mythological as we're lead to think, hence why transition works and why intersex people exist" as a personal threat, sometimes because they think that it means "sex isn't real"
What trans people usually are criticizing about peoples perception of human sex is the fact that people tend to see male amd female as almost like they're seperate species with no overlap. Honestly, I see this as an extension of misogyny in that it justifies why women (and people presumed and forced into the gender and sex associated with "woman") "deserve" to be subjected to misogyny.
If human sex had no overlap, I wouldn't be able to transition in any way, but I've gone through my ~sex change~ without a hitch, y'know? Transition really teaches you that human sex has more overlap than people want to think. We are more alike than we are different.
I know you didn't send this ask to hear my views on human sex, but it's something I've seen. The idea that "sex = everything and is your destiny" is outdated, and it harms more than just trans people. It harms intersex people who don't "neatly" fit into the male/female dichotomy immensely, and it hurts perisex cis people. We aren't helped by treating other people like seperate species.

Me, scrolling on tiktok:
TikTok: hi so only MC and Silver are from a previous timeline and not from this world. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTRcFjawX/
OH BOY OH BOY
I've not yet made it to that part of ch6 yet (BUT THAT'S OKAY, WE'RE A SPOILER-WELCOME BLOG HERE) and i'm SO excited to see it unfold in person!!
I think it's a really interesting theory that, if Silver's UM isn't dream-related, that he could be from another timeline/another world and that's why he can interact with the mirror and see other dimensions the way that MC can. It definitely brings into question the whole "how/where did Lilia find him" part of his backstory; did he truly just APPEAR in the woods by some magic spell from a different dimension/timeline in order to save him from a horrible fate? Is the cost of that his sleeping curse? Does he truly not belong in the TWST universe and will be forced to make a choice about leaving the family who raised him forever for a family he's never known across realities??
LISTEN, SILVER'S BACKGROUND IS SO INTRIGUING, it's one of my favorite twst mysteries and there's so many different angles that can be taken with it, I can't wait to see how the game actually presents it to us!!

I have questions
Is the answer to all of them going "back to the future/present" Jughead taking off the 50s hat and putting the beanie back on once? Why was it left for him? And where is the beanie now - did Veronica's set decorators from Hollywood remove it from the train car when they redecorated?

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

Studying linguistics is actually so wonderful because when you explain youth slang to older professors, instead of complaining about how "your generation can't speak right/ you're butchering the language" they light up and go “really? That’s so wonderful! What an innovative construction! Isn't language wonderful?"

IDK why I find it so funny at the fact of how squishy Craig is.
The poor boy is so light that Damien's windy powers or whatever literally blew him into the wind literally of all people.
Then there was an incident with the school bus. I forgot what happened, but the poor boy flew out of the bus.
He had an eye injury from Tweek to the point he needed stitches
The poor boy gets shot with Cupid Ye's arrow and turns into a Nazi
The poor boy also got KO'd by Eric Cartman in the post covid special and then gets hung up on the ceiling, upside down
Let's not forget how he also got yeeted by Cartman's literal fat ass
