I am not a regular TCW viewer, was the whole 'Barriss Offee is a villain' reveal a natural character progression for her or did it come out of the blue?
Because Wookieepedia makes it look like it was a totally random thing for her to decide to do.
And were TCW fans mad at the time, or were they cool with it, what was the drama like?
(Also, I am now totally seeing why people thought Barriss should have returned in Rebels as an inquisitor. They apparently 'have plans' for her, and thus she never got officially killed, but I cannot find if they ever used her in any other materials, or if the character is still in limbo.)
I think they should have made her the top dog inquisitor. Though it would have made Rebels overkill-focused on Ahsoka, I guess.
P.S. I'm a little slow on the uptake, but it just struck me that they really did make a whole TCW arc where the headscarf-wearing Jedi turns out to be a bomb terrorist, wow.

I was a bit stressed yesterday, who knew going over ideas for an "evil Kanan AU" would have such relaxing qualities 😭
Midnight ideas under the cut ~
I feel like it could go both ways, the Empire killing Kanan or converting him - killing certainly saves time, but I feel like at this point there aren't that many Inquisitors left, with Cal hanging around, and there is the connection to his crew - would throw them off focus when they see the man they left for dead - imagine the angst potential
Why Malachor well, everyone was kinda there at one point heh. Plus, I think this could very well end up with Kanan still being blinded- but that's for another day.
Also Ezra doesn't have his scars, he never went after Kanan = the Grand Inquisitor never got the drop on him.
Aight, that's it for my nerd out.

Spent ten minutes decoding this seal on my most recently delivered order from @inquisitorius-sin-bin:
These fun seals are another reason to buy from their store (other than the 10% off sale going on through the weekend!!)! Their work is incredible, and I am proud to be both a supporter and friend ❤

Kanan: I was knighted in a Force vision by the Grand Inquisitor I killed the year before who used to be a guard of the Jedi temple before he turned to the dark side. How about you?
Cal: Knighted in a spur-of-the-moment decision by my adoptive master using the lightsaber of the Inquisitor who used to be her padawan.
Kanan: ...
Kanan, to the barkeeper: We’re gonna need the whole bottle.

Personally don't think Rebels did anything well with the Inquisitors. I still don't feel like I know anything about the ones in Rebels. I would say JFO was the only one that did anything substantial with them, well at least one of them, and as well as the Dark Lord of the Sith comic the Inquisitors appeared in.
IMO the inquisitors served the role they needed to serve in Rebels, which is introduce them as empire-era antagonists in the new canon. And while they are "static" villains for the most part, generally there was more than enough subplots and character arcs going on in Rebels that I don't necessarily think they needed to be extremely fleshed out and deep characters. Obi-Wan Kenobi, in comparison, is a more stripped-down show that is relying on a very small cast and simple story.
Though personally, I feel the Grand Inquisitor was a really good straightforward villain in s1, and his cameo in s2 was the cherry on top. Will agree that the other inquisitors are just regular villains in rebels, but again I cut slack because Rebels was introducing the inquisitorius for the first time in canon, and because Rebels had plenty other things going for it.
Also, my issue with Obi-Wan Kenobi is that the non-Reva inquisitors are equally as "whatever" as the "whatever" inquisitors in Rebels, the Grand Inquisitor is objectively less cool than he was in Rebels, and while I hope to proven wrong, I feel like Reva will probably end up with a similar backstory and fate as Trilla in JFO. That, or her backstory will be criminally underexplored and not used to its full thematic potential. So then I ask—why did they just retread old ground?

Hello there,
first of all, I'm wishing you a speedy recovery! Illnesses are always very irritating, especially those which last over a longer period of time, so I hope you'll get better soon. I just watched the trailer for Tales of the Empire (basically season 2 of Tales of the Jedi) and I immediately had to think of you. It seems VERY relevant for your current chapter of the Nameless comic. I don't want to spoiler too much tho. Definitely worth checking out.
Either way, have a nice rest of the day!
Thank you!!
What can I say, Lucasfilm wanted a piece of what I have. 😎
(I love spoilers, I usually actively seek out spoilers, so if anyone feels like sharing them once the animation becomes available, please please do.)
Seriously though, I'm so happy I started the comic pages with Barriss and the Inquisitor before Tales of the Empire was announced, otherwise I'd probably have to change it all, so I don't look like I am jumping on some narrative bandwagon.
There is still a chance the animation reveals something new about Inquisitorius lore or details about the Grand Inquisitor that changes future stuff I had planned for the comic, but we shall see.
