Goodbye & good riddance, Supernatural.

My best friend and I are clearing out all our old Supernatural merch. She was much more into it than I was (she introduced me to it). Though I don't like horror shows, I got hooked on Crowley and Cas, then on the Trickster before he was Gabriel.

We were discussing just how badly the series crashed and burned. And for how long. It's not like there was some surprise malfunction that brought it down. Nope, the new show-runners broke into the cockpit, pistol-whipped the pilots, then grabbed the controls and intentionally aimed for the mountains.

Thinking of how they screwed over Mark Sheppard. The man rightly complained about how badly his character was being written -- one of the most popular characters in the show -- and what did the show-runners do? Write better scripts? Nope. They promptly told him his services were no longer required, then wrote a lame death for Crowley. I think the only reason Sheppard didn't quit immediately was because of his contract. If I'd been him I'd have walked out and let them come up with a stupid death without me.

My best friend isn't interested in her SPN merch anymore because seeing it reminds her of how the show-runners kidnapped the series, tied it to a chair and tortured it -- one of the most annoying tropes the show did time after time -- stabbed it multiple times, then dumped it by the side of a highway. So she's giving some things away and selling others.

I can't watch even clips of it anymore, for the same reasons.
