The Scream Heard Around the World
Tumblr media
Warnings: Language and Violence
“There’s a story that Superman has another weakness besides Kryptonite. It’s not a form of element or another dimensional being, it’s a woman. A human one. It’s said that once Superman’s lover died, he went mad. Killed everything and everyone but there was one whom he didn’t harm. He kept her. Some say that he keeps her locked up somewhere that no one else is able to go. Keeps her chained up in a pretty white dress.”
“Bullshit!” One person exclaimed.
“You think so? Well, then why do you think the Man of Steel doesn’t go hunting 24/7, only in the daytime?”
Everyone was tense because even though this was indeed just a story being told, this was their reality. Under the rule of Superman. He controlled everything because of the power he possessed. There was no one to challenge him or his rule. The people lived in fear waiting to see what mood he would wake up in today.
“That can be anything though.”
“I doubt he stopped killing because of good pussy.”
“He can still change. He was good before he can be that again.”
“What about that god-awful scream?” Everyone went silent at that. All of them exchanged wary looks.
“I suspect that he got that woman pregnant and she had his baby and when it was born it screamed so loud that it killed everyone that could hear it. We all heard about those people who just suddenly died. All with the same symptoms. Ears and eyes dripping with blood. Their bodies still shaking because the brain doesn’t know that they’re dead yet. The scream heard around the world.”
That was what those who survived called it. That awful scream that killed half the world.
Everyone who believed the story speculated what happened but no one truly knew. They assumed the woman died giving birth because what human could possibly sustain carrying Superman’s spawn? Or even endure the screaming of the newborn? Maybe both mother and child died? There was only ever one scream and it invoked fear in everyone if another was ever heard.
“There were no repercussions for us,” another spoke. “If he lost either one or both he would have been plagued with grief and anger but it’s been quiet since then. No visits, sightings, or killings. What if they’re both alive, somehow?”
“I guess we’ll never quite know? But God Bless those who ever encounter Superman and the spawn he’ll raise.”

Masterlist
Summary: Superman finally finds his limit. And he makes it abundantly clear.
Warnings: angst, darkish superman?, violence.
A/N: just a random little angsty drabble. Tried to switch up my writing style abit in this, just doing a few writing exercises. I hope you enjoy.
Tumblr media
People whispered about the death of superman. The final cry of the alien echoing across the city, the cry causing ripples out in the bay swaying boat and shaking windows. A final war cry of a god. His death was still a victory for the city, for man kind.
But that had been nothing compared to the low mornfull furious cry. Buildings shuddered, dust wafted from ceilings and roofs windows cowered some cracked and shattered. Car alarms began screeching as if panicked by the fearfull cry.
Everyone had froze. Time had stopped.
All eyes were on the man of steel as his framed crouched over the body of an unknown woman. She laid still, arms either side of her head face down in the asphalt. Her hair was loose and splayed, sheilding her identity from all the onlookers. Blood began seeping from below her.
Superman tugged the woman close. Rolling her over calljng out to her name. His eyes glossed over as the womans head lolled back and forth. Then a whimper.
The whole crowd released a sigh as the woman soft pained cries carried through the silence. The god shoulders sagged, cape draping over the ground. And suddelny there were calls for an ambulance.
"Clar-Kal? Kal please.... pl-please it hurts" the words were weak and airy. Hissing pants, air being sucked through clenched teeth.
At the womans voice superman seemed to realise she was still alive. He tipped his head down, quickly scanning the woman whose hands were now holding her abdomen. The bullet wound hidden beneath. He sighed thanking god before touching foreheads and pressed a sweet kiss to the woman.
"I will fix this, the ambulanceis comming. Its not hit anything to serious. You'll be okay, youll get better. Youl, be safe. I promise you i will make this city, this country, this world safe for you." The woman shovered, but nodded mewling 'okay'.
But joker managed to regain everyones attention as he waved his gun around in a frantic joy. He was elated playful like a child. He seemed to enjoy his madness as much as he enjoyed the mayhem he caused. There seemed to be a sense of pride arohnd him. Proud of how close he had come to shaking the unshakeable. breaking the unbreakable. He had found the man of steels weakness.
'"Oh? Deary me! I didnt do a good job of that did i boy scout?" If the scene wasnt tense before it certainly was when the clown spoke.
The man of steels shoulders squared and his eyes glowed. Igniting whe his vision locked onto the green hairs clown.
"Take another step and see what happens clown" the voice was almost unhindged. Fury biteing into every word. The loathing was plunged into the syllables, a growled his that threaded threat into each word. There was a respunding quiver of fear shared by everyone present. Joker smiled oh no. His voice
"Step? Oh no no no~ i wont step closer, i promise." The mad man cooed standing on his tip toes mimming almost falling forward. But then skipped back finishing his announcement with a chilling laugh.
"I dont need to take another step, the good thing about guns means i can? Well here let me just try again;" the joker didnt even finish his sentance. No one could even registerhis words before there was a flash. A red flash, molten heat roared over the woman drawing a yelp.
But only her yelp was heard. Joker didnt stand a chance, the force of supermans rage knocked him off his feet, butthe heat had cremated him befor he could drop to the floor.
Everyone held their breath, shock ringing out in screaming silence. Metropolis had just changed. Superman had commited murder, in broad daylight in front of millions. But none could manage a sound. The sirens of an ambulance called out, hauntingly across the quiet scene.
Superman looked down to the woman.
"This world will be safe my love. It will be safe for both of you. I swear" he cooed, one hand moving to cup her lower abdomen. That was when it all became clear. Superman had drawn a line. And he will kill for his family without hesitation.

Clark: [stares at Ace] Is that what I think it is?
Bruce: Oh, that’s Chewperman, Ace’s favorite chew toy.
Clark: You let Ace chew on a mini me?
Bruce: That’s what it’s made for. If it makes you feel bad, I’ll make one for Krypto too. He’ll love it, right boy?
Ace: Woof.
The following week at the Fortress of Solitude…
Bruce: Why is this toy kept behind a glass casing? It’s meant for Krypto. [takes it out of the casing and tosses it to Krypto] Here boy!
Krypto: [happily chomps on the Batman chew toy]
Clark: Noooo! Don’t! Krypto, let go of Batsqueak!
Bruce: Batsqueak?
Clark: It just feels wrong, Bruce! I can’t bear to let any harm come to Batsqueak. He should be kept safe in his ice cave, not mauled by giant fangs.
Bruce: …

you don’t understand l. i need batman to be weirdly good with babies. i mean, objectively when in a group of people the one dressed in an entirely military level reinforced fighting suit with a bat cowl should objectively be the last peroson someone should hand a baby to and yet. batman was the only one in an entire unit of 17 people who could calm the hysteric infant while waiting for child services to arrive on the scene and take the responsibility off the bat.
but it keeps happening. any incident which involveds a child in any form it is sent batmans way if the means allow it. and batman just,, let’s it happen. you’re not going to see him complaining in participating an experience like that was prior, inheritely one that one would be saved for couples only but,,, idk batman just chilling with a small army of toddlers and infants who fear no god so why would they fear the man that just emits safety and care yk?
the adults in the room are both terrified and impressed by their gaul lmfaoo

The Ghost King is my Uncle Drabbles #2
A/N: Some more linked to a prompt week writing I did
>>Masterpost
Original this builds on: Link
Rowdy Cousin
Batman swore internally, from the outside he stoically sat in his chair and did nothing to indicate the absolute chaos that was going on in his mind. The Meeting rooms light flickered and the speakers once more started up loudly blaring a song all over the Watchtower. He was pretty sure one of his sons had told him once that playing that song was a meme.
"Someone do something about that kid! He is Rickrolling us!" Green Lantern screamed above the music.
"Constantine is already trying to do something." Superman's hands covering his sensitive ears as the music must sound to him even louder.
Batman very much only looped one thought in his head. -It's only for world ending purpose, I cannot use it right now.-
He had a responsibility to uphold, he was the patriarch of the earth branch family. This was not something that required him to use that. No he would not use it. He refused. This was not a world ending matter. Surely Constantine or anyone else of the Justice League Dark would solve this problem any second now.
The screens flicker and Batman did anything he could in his mind to not let his eye twitch even if no one would be able to see it. Cat videos were playing where second earlier statistics and observatory programs had been running.
No he would not, they could handle this problem no need to involve family.
The music stopped and some of his hero colleagues let out a relieved sigh only for a familiar laugh to echo through the watchtower and a new song starting to play. One that apparently counts all 100 dumb ways to die.
"Why is Klarion even targeting the watchtower like this?!" The Flash shouted over the lyrics before turning to him.
"Did one of your kids piss him off or something?!"
"No." At least not as far as he knew, though considering the recent discovery as well as the surprise visits his uncle had done lately he might have a guess why the witch boy was targeting them right now. Didn't mean he would elaborate this reason to the other heroes present.
Before Wonder Woman could comment John Constantine stormed in the room and slammed his hands down onto the table staring right at Batman with blood shot eyes. "Call him."
"Who?"
"Don't play fucking dumb bats. You know who I mean. This is not the witch brat alone. There is another entity and if you don't want the fucking watchtower crashing into earth you call him right now."
"Bats, he is not talking about who I think he is?" Superman carefully asked while the other heroes looked at him just as questionable.
He held his staring contest with Constantine a little longer before he grunted and reached into his utility belt pulling out a small bat-shaped pendant. A personalized upgraded calling card, his uncle had gifted to him as well as each of his children and extended family members.
This was not how he imagined a meeting in regards to his new discoveries and a possible sure fire contingency plan against world ending emergencies would go. He rubbed his thumb against the engraving waiting for a short moment for it to pulse, before tapping the pendant three times, paused and tapped it two more times. This was a non-emergency call, even if his colleagues might disagree.
He still thought they could very well handle this situation without the help of his uncle.
"BABY BAT, YOU CALLED THIS IS THE FIRST TIME YOU DID!"
The present heroes watched in stunned fashion how a white haired, 20 years old man stepped out of a green portal and instantly zoomed across the room to hug THE Batman around his head rubbing his cheek against the bat's cowl mindful of the pointy parts.
And Batman was letting the man do that only looking resigned.
"We agreed that I would only call on you with this pendant for emergencies."
The white haired man only hummed before his head turned sharply and green glowing eyes narrowed at Constantine, who visibly paled and took a step back standing straight and looking very much like he regretted what he had asked Batman to do. "Trading game is not being rude to you is he?"
The bat only grunted and the white haired man finally let go of him, humming as he took in his surroundings, eyes glinting in mischievously as he saw the flickering lights, animal videos on screen and heard the blaring music over the speaker. "When I okey-ed Klarion to go playing with his cousins I didn't think he would seek you two out. He had been talking about his older cousins starting another game of 'who's the better demon lord' in different dimensions. I thought he was joining their bet."
Wait did he say two? Batman grunted and the white haired guy chuckled. "I will be back in a second."
Not even the Flash could react as fast as the white haired man disappeared and reappeared with Klarion next to him. Clearly pulling on the witch boy's ear like a father would when their child had been naughty. The flickering lights and blaring of music over the speakers had stopped.
"Ow DAD what in the name of chaos are you doing here."
"Your Cousin called me. You are disturbing his work and risking them crashing into earth with Technus' help."
"YOU SNITCHED TO MY DAD?!"
"Hn."
"Technus get out of their network or I will lock you up on a Medieval Island for three decades."
As if the present heroes weren't confused enough a face appeared on one of the screens. Glaring at the white haired man. "You wouldn't dare."
"Watch me, if you stay in there any longer. I will also dig out the old thermos and soup you additionally for a decade or more."
The face on screen grumbled and the heroes nearly flinched back as a ghostly, green skinned man came out of it, looking every bit frustrated and annoyed. "I was just getting a good look at this modern technology, you have banned me from any big shot Industries…"
"We had that discussion 100 years ago, Technus. Back to the Ghost Zone." The white haired man commanded by opening a portal next to them with the wave of his hand and surprisingly, the green skinned guy listened.
"Sorry about this Baby Bat and Little Demi. Klarion will be grounded for a bit and re-educated in how to bond without risking potentially killing any bystanders. Oh and remember I will come by later for Baby Ghost to get his checkup with Frostbite!"
"Dad, please no grounding! Anything but that!"
"I am sure your Grandpa will be happy to have your help during your grounding."
"Dad! NO! I don't want to keep time in order! I live for chaos not order!"
The man was just smiling and completely ignoring Klarion's complains as he turned towards Batman and Wonder Woman, for reasons the hero's didn't understand.
"Well we will be on our way then Baby Bat, Little Demi!"
Batman grunted and the white haired man chuckled, leaving through the portal and dragging along a whining Klarion, who apparently was that man's son.
Just before the portal closed, the man stuck his head back out looking towards Wonder Woman with a mischievous smile. "Oh before I forget! Pops Clockwork sents his regards Little Demi . He doesn't want me saying this, but he is glad about the path you choose. Says you're set on a pretty good timeline!"
The head disappeared into the portal again and it finally closed. Wonder Woman was left blinking at the empty space, her mouth slightly open with the silent question of "What?"
"Bats, who was that?" The Flash was the first to break the silence that had followed as eyes turned to the dark knight.
"His Uncle." / "The Ghost King."
Superman and Constantine spoke at the same time. The JLD member flinched back as he looked at the glowering bat. Muttering something the man took his leave or rather escaped the room as quickly as possible as Batman kept glaring. Meanwhile Wonder Woman was slowly having a crisis of her own as suddenly family relations that had been hinted to her through Pandora made sense. "Clockwork... no, Titan Cronus? The Ghost King... Uncle Daniel?"
Chaos broke among the present heroes.
"WHAT UNCLE?!"

Ok but let’s just think about sucking Jason grace off. Like that man gets so nervous because he was raised to give and give and give and never expect anything in return so the idea that someone could want to do anything just for his own pleasure really makes his brain short circuit
No bc you think Leo is hard to go down on??????? Jason is like 10 times worse. You practically have to hog tie this motherfucker down (not that he'd complain tbh) and he can't stop whimpering and sputtering the whole time. he has mark from once bitten energy (01:00) Jason is literally so nervous when he gets hard even when you're deliberately trying to make him like that. like every time you give him the messy life changing soul turning sloppiest top he can't believe it. like he genuinely can't believe it's happening. it's real. he can't even fantasize about it. you're reeeeeeeeally gonna have to break him in (but I'm sure neither of you will be complaining about that). Like seriuosly, you even look at him like you wanna suck his dick and he's sputtering and blushing and fiddling with his glasses. sucking him into submission is so easy and so fun. rewire him. perminantly change his brain chemistry. do it.

Make You Work
Sequel to Work It Out
Warnings: noncon, body insecurity, minimal editing.
Trainer!Clark Kent x short!chubby!reader; we didn't think this one was gonna happen, did we?
To those who read, I’d love a thot or two of what you think!
Tumblr media
You press your back to the lockers. You can’t breath. Your skin speckles in a new sheen of sweat as you stare at the beast before you. The man with his damp curls and flushed cheeks, stone set in his jaw. The flames in his eyes scald you.
“Clark?” You croak, terrified.
He moves, too fast for you to react. You cry out, your feet tangling as you throat out your arm and drop your jeans onto the floor. He catches your arm and pulls you back, pinning you to the lockers as he snarls down at you. You brace yourself, whimpering as grabs your other wrist and forces your arms straight above you. You wriggle and flutter your lashes as tears sting in your eyes.
“Clark, please, what are you doing?” You puff breathlessly.
“I need you,” he growls as his humid breath fans over you.
“No--”
Your voice snags in your throat as his eyes drop down. He looks down at himself and you follow his gaze to the front of his shorts. You see the bulge beneath the dark fabric, twitching as you gasp. You tug on your wrists to no avail as he pushes them together, squeezing them tight as he wraps them in a single hand.
His other roams down to your shoulder and his fingertips brush up your neck. You squeak as traces the line of you chin and pushes his knuckle against your lips. You stare up at him through welling eyes. You might be flattered if you weren’t so damn scared.
He drags his hand back down, trailing down your throat and along your chest. His fingers rest over your ragged heartbeat and he tilts his hand to cup you through your bra. You shiver as he gropes you.
“Please,” you beg in a willowy whisper, a tear riveting down your cheek.
He doesn’t seem to hear you. There’s a tint to his eyes that makes you doubt he can. He slips his hand around the band of your bra and forces his between you and the metal doors. He pinches and swiftly unhooks the clasp. The fabric slacks and lifts as your tits drop out the bottom. It stays strung across your chest as your arms remain locked in his clutches.
He brings his touch back to your chest, jiggling each tit, rolling his thumb around your rigid nipples. He purrs and dips his head. You cry out as he takes a bud in his mouth abruptly, his warmth seeping in you. Your sneakers squeak on the floor as you shift helplessly.
He nips and you babble, more tears flowing as you shake your head. This isn’t happening. He can’t do this. He wouldn’t. Not to you. You’re not... good enough.
He flicks his tongue around and sends a thrill down your spine. His hand wanders down your stomach and you suck in, conscious of your extra cushion. He tickles along the top of your panties, the one’s he said were so cute only moments before. A compliment you took as a taunt.
He pushes his fingers flat against you and slips beneath the cotton. You tilt your head up and gnash your teeth, staring up at his grip still firm around your wrists. It isn’t as nice as you once fantasized. All those years when you thought you would die to have a man like him look your way. This just feels... suffocating.
He grazes along your glossy curls and you squirm. You squeeze your legs together against his touch and he growls against your skin. He teethes you as his breath stains your chest. He nuzzles between your tits as he pokes two fingers between your folds, curling them as he forces them against you.
Your knees buckles as your hip pangs suddenly. You whimper as the shock that zips up your leg, feet slipping apart as you try not to collapse. You don’t think you actually would, just dangle from his grasp like a puppet.
He pushes further, his hand lodging between your thighs as he feels along your cunt. He drags his fingertips back and forth, rubbing you as your insides coil. A slick layer coats your lips, smearing around as lifts his head higher, burying it in the crook of your neck as he prods around your entrance.
He drags his fingertips back and toys with your clit, flicking, swirling, swiping, teasing until your puffing wildly up at the ceiling. Your lip trembles as your chest burns. The sensations meld into a store of horror and delight.
He snarls and bites into the tendon of your neck, pinching as the tension builds inside of you. Your thighs strain shake as you arch your back. A whine rises from your throat as sparks scatter through you and orgasm rents right up your middle. Your stomach muscles knots and your eyes roll back.
It’s wrong, you know it is, but you can’t and won’t stop him.
He pants against you, in time with you, as if he could feel the same release. He unlatches his mouth from you and raises himself up. He looks down at you and jerks you forward away from the lockers. You yelp as pout helplessly. His eyes creep up and down your body as he slips his hand free of your panties.
He spins you suddenly, releasing your arms as you exclaim and flail towards the bench. You catch yourself on the metal, bent over and breathless as he closes you in from behind. He grabs your hips and you try to stand. He grips the back of your neck and holds you down, your ass up as he presses his crotch against you.
He rocks his hips, simulating his intent as he grunts. His fingers crawl around your waistline and he rips the elastic down your ass. You yipe and squirm as the fabric falls just above your knees. He kicks your feet further part as he squeezes your neck till it tweaks.
He feels along the front of his shorts and yanks them down. You fill him spring out against your ass, the rigid flesh rubbing between your cheeks. Your knees touch the bench and you lean forward, only for him to pinch your neck tighter. You relent as he guides his tip along the curve of your ass.
You close your eyes and grit your teeth. Your hang your head as he bends his knees. He rubs himself against your folds, pausing to push against your entrance, before repeating the motion. Down, up, down, up, then he stops, poking until you feel your cunt stretching around his tip.
He splits you in half slowly. That’s what it feels like. He rocks patiently, inch by inch, dipping deeper and deeper. The hot invasion has you moaning and mewling as your head lolls back and forth. His hand slides to your shoulder and his fingers curl into the muscle there.
He leans into you until you’re on your toes. You whine as his pelvis presses to your ass. He wiggles as he buries himself completely in your taut walls. He groans and holds himself there.
He exhales as he pulls back and your insides clench. As he slides back in you whimper. How do you feel even more full then before.
He grabs your hip and pulls your ass higher as he thrusts again. Still slow, still patient. His deep groans drone through the air.
His hand drifts down your back as his rhythm slowly builds. He brings it to your other hip, holding you in place as he rolls his hips against your ass. He growls and bucks harder, jolting you as you cry out. Your shoulders wrack as his nails dig into your flesh.
He snaps his pelvis again. You mewl and he lifts your feet off the ground, holding you just off it as your bodies clop together. He rams into you, harder, deeper, furiously battering you as he loses all control. You keep your hands on the bench, dangling helplessly as he uses you.
He slides his hand away from your hop and hooks his arm across your stomach. He pulls you up flush to him and your head falls against his shoulder. He clings to you, keeping you hovering as he ruts wildly, puffing over you as he bounces you against him.
“You’re so sexy,” he snarls, “can’t you feel it?”
He pounds harder and harder as your voice fizzles out and you reach back to latch onto his thick shoulder. His fucks you furiously as you bite down on your tongue, spasming. You cum again, even less ready for it than before.
He turns and pushes you against the lockers. He crushes you as he jerks his hips up, over and over, grunting and growl as his hand runs up to knead your chest. He presses the tip of his nose to your grown and groans as he quakes. You feel him cum inside of you, fucking it into you until he’s whimpering.
He stills, urging himself as deep as he can go. You gurgle and press a shaky hand to the metal. He lifts his head and kisses the top of your head. Slowly, he lowers you to the floor and slides out of you. A gush spills down your thigh as only your gasping breaths meet your ears.
You lean, trembling, on the lockers and stiffly roll to face him. Your panties droop to your ankles as he pulls his shorts up. He cracks his neck, one way then the other, and shakes out his arms. He blows out a sigh and pushes back his curls. He smirks at you as his blue eyes glint.
“Good work out,” he chuckles as he wipes his forehead, “don’t forget to stretch.”
He spins on his heel, whistling as he struts away. You stare after him, stunned, and slide slowly down to your ass as your knees finally give out. You bow your head and reach under you, feeling along your swollen lips as you flinch.
You feel empty and torn. You snatch your hand away and mop the tears from your damp cheeks. You didn’t even realise you were still crying. You fix your bra and reach back to hook it in place. Every muscle in your body hurts.
You put your hand down and lean forward, groaning as you lift yourself to hands and knees. You crawl to grab your jeans the shift towards the bench. You grab it and push, forcing your feet under you, one then the other.
You stand, swaying, and shake out your pants. It takes you several tries to step into them.
When you finally get them buttoned, you pull on your jersey shirt then the zip-up you wore over it. You zip up your gym bag with your phone inside and ball up your gym clothes. You care them to the bin by the door and waver at the threshold. You drop them into the garbage and make yourself leave.
You stumble through the gym, looking straight and no where else. Is he there? Is he watching? Will he follow you again?
You walk faster and faster, unsteady and clumsy as you rush towards the stairs. Your fear bubbles up with the humiliation. You don’t let it boil over it, fighting desperately to outpace it as you clamour down the flights.
You’re never going back. Never, never again. You tried working out. It’s not for you.

Drabble Prompt
“Oh,” Clark breathed, stopping himself from reaching out. Bruce was beautiful, form between the terror of Gotham and the far too kind human man, mechanical wings outstretched yet loose. Like some sort of personal cover from any prying eyes, claws so viciously sharp and dangerous now relaxed against the ground.
Long hair as black as a moonless night framed eyes as blue as fresh glacier ice, though were far warmer and shy in the way they peered through heavy lashes. His suit fit him perfectly, armored yet clinging against his form, accentuating every curve and muscle, shifting as he steadily breathed.
“Oh?” Bruce raised an eyebrow, one of them being bisected by a scar, usually covered by the cowl. Yet he still kept the silhouette from before, a mixture of paranoia and anxiety not letting him take the secondary ears off just in case.
“You’re beautiful,” Clark told him honestly, resting a hand on the other man's waist from where he sat. A flush spread across Bruce’s skin, incredibly obvious against the paleness of sun-starved flesh as he looked up from ice-blue eyes.

masterlist
.
"You're doing amazing honey!" Clark says beside you holding your hand.
"How would you know?" You snap
"Because you're making all the right sounds. Remember that birthing video with the girl making all the buffalo noises? You're making those noises."
You roll your eyes as you let out a groan.
"Would you like to stand around here with us?" The doctors ask Clark.
"No I'm good" He quickly replies.
You almost get offended, "You don't want to watch?" you ask
"Oh, honey, I was over there earlier and it's real gory, lllike a horror movie, I'd rather stay with you." He says as he gives you a kiss on the forehead.
You groan once more.
"You know-" he starts
"Yeah?"
"Bruce says that in some cultures men aren't even allowed near the birth, just a bunch of women in tents, which makes sense, because I would be so much more useful if I was out hunting moose or something…" He rants.
"Clark?" You ask on the verge of punching him.
He hums.
"Please shut the fuck up."
"Oh yeah okay."
.
Clark is cradling the beautiful baby boy as you sit and watch from the hostipal bed.
“I’m gonna call you super baby” Clark tells him, the baby giggles in his dads arms, Clark look towards you, “he likes it”
“Please do not call our son super baby”
“Awww why not it’s cute.” He whines
“That be like you calling me super wife.”
“Well you are a super wife.” He shrugs
You roll your eyes as Kara and Martha walk in and steal the baby from Clark.
“Oh he’s just adorable. Have you decided on a name” Kara coos
“Super baby.” Clark states
“No it’s Jon, you dork.” You call out
“Hey don’t call me a dork!”
“Whatever, dork.”
“How is it that you two have been together for almost 10 years yet you still act like children.” Martha laughs
“Oh come on Ma, you and Pa were just like this.” Clark says as he steals the baby back and hands him to you.
Martha just laughs. Young love.
“Hey, I think we should tell Barry we named him after him” you whisper into his ear
He laughs, “whatever you want sweetheart.”
.
You and Clark take Jon to the next JL meeting. Barry’s the first one that comes up to you.
“Oh. My. God. He is so adorable!!!! Whats his name?”
“Barry.” You say confidently.
Barry’s face lights up, “you named him after me?!?!?”
“No his name is Jon. But I promise the next one we’ll name after you” Clark says.
“For realz?”
“For realz”
You laugh as Barry walks away, “you’re out of your mind if you think I’m gonna have another one” you whisper to him
He shrugs, “we’ll see about that” He leans down to give you a kiss.
.
5 years later and your back in the hospital giving birth.
“Get this thing out of me!!” You scream
“Honey it’s gonna be okay” Clark says holding your hand
“Curse you! And curse your stupid sperm!” You yell at him
“Uncle Bruce what’s sperm?” Jon looks up at Bruce from outside the room.
“Ummmm when a mommy and daddy love eachother very much-“
“Don’t you dare give my son the sex talk Bruce!” Clark yells from the delivery room
You scream again
“Is mommy gonna be okay?” He asks
Bruce shrugs, “probably, maybe. She has a 17.4 to 100,000 chance of dying.”
“Dying? She’s gonna die?!?” Jon screams.
“Uhhhh”
“One last push, you’re almost there” the doctor says.
“I’m gonna fucking kill you for doing this to me.” You scream at Clark as you push
Crying erupts the room. It’s finally over. 15 hours of excruciating pain.
“Congratulations it’s a healthy baby girl.”
They weigh her, Clark cuts her cord, you hold her for a bit then they take her away to clean her.
“You still wanna kill me?”
“We’ll see.” You say as he leans down to kiss you.
As he pulls away he says, “We have to name her Bartholomew now.”
“No.”
“C’mon shes just like him.”
“No if she was this would be a fast labor, she’s just like me.”
“You’re right she is stubborn” he jokes
“that’s why we’re going to name her Y/n jr.” You state as a matter of fact.
“We can name her that but we couldn’t name Jon super baby?”
You shrug
..
Years later..
“I COULDVE BEEN SUPER BABY”
“Yeah but your mom wouldn’t let me.”
“I COULDVE BEEN SUPER BABY”

Pairing: Clark Kent x fem! reader
Word Count: 971
Your mind was wandering, riddled with questions.
Is leaving the right choice? Was Clark aware yet? What was he doing? Would he give you the space you needed? Will things get better?
The car began to shake as an impending sound began reverberating loudly as it drew closer. Then all at once, the sound stopped and you had to pump the breaks once you saw Clark land just a few yards ahead.
Your heart began to race whether in anticipation or the fact he actually looked for you.
He began to walk towards the car with a serious look. You were surprised by just how quickly he had realized you were gone. As of late, things had been a bit strained and tense for the both of you.
Clark was always gone and you were always left all alone.
“You need space? Leaving for a week?” He re-iterated from the letter you left. “Why are you trying to leave?”
“You really have to ask?”
It appalled you just how oblivious he was to your relationship. He was sharp when it came to everything else but he always turned a blind eye whenever he came home.
“Get out of the car.” You narrowed your brows at him, not liking the way he was speaking to you. The engine was still running and now that there was a sudden silence between you both it was apparent that was the only sound he was focusing on. Clark closed his eyes for a few seconds taking a deep breath before opening his eyes back up. “Can you please get out of the car?”
You tapped your fingers against the steering wheel knowing there was no other way out of this. He did deserve an explanation after just having up and left. You were just so upset that you simply acted.
After much deliberation, you took the keys out of the ignition and stepped out of the car.
He took pause for a moment recalling your last question.
“Is this about Lois?” He asked cocking his head while narrowing his brows. The Lois in question was the beautiful red-headed reporter that knew of his identity. They always kept close in contact especially since Clark started working there.
They were just friends but the fact that they had a connection and she wasn’t in a relationship at the moment, made you defensive.
“It’s not just that.”
“Then what is it?”
“Clark,” you sighed. “You’re never here in the moment. You’re always gone. For crying out loud we live together and I’m lucky enough if I even see you once a week.”
He shook his head, disagreeing.
“I didn’t think we were having any problems. It’s just that the people need me.”
You exhaled loudly. It simply wasn’t fair. You loved Clark with all your heart and all that he does, but the problem was, he wasn’t treating this like a relationship.
“I need you too.” You felt like complete shit for wanting more of his attention knowing that he was indeed saving lives. You just wished he can see it from your point of view. “You do so much but you also need to set time for yourself. You need to live your life too.”
He took a step closer leaving only an inch of space between you both. He brushed back a piece of your stray hair blowing from the wind then placed his palm against your cheek.
“I love you. I know I don’t say it enough or show it the way you want me to and for that, I’m sorry. You’re my girlfriend and I never want you to feel that you have to leave in order to figure things out. I’m here even when it seems that I’m not.”
You leaned into his touch already feeling better than you have in a while. This conversation was long overdue, but Clark’s hectic schedule and postponing this talk brought out the worst in you.
“You have to make the effort Clark. I’m not saying to cease saving the world but to set aside some time for us.”
You leaned your head against his chest just wanting to feel him. It had been so long since you both embraced each other. He leaned forward looking down at you.
“Anything. All I need is for you to talk to me.”
“I’m glad it at least got your attention,” you cracked a smile trying to break the ice.
He cracked a small smile before grasping your hands in his. “You scared me when I came home to an empty house. I thought the worst when I read your letter. It made me realize how you must’ve felt,” he placed a chaste kiss on your cheek. “I think you should still take time to yourself but just know that I’ll be checking in.”
You squeezed his hands feeling this is what’s best. Some time apart in order for things to be better. “Maybe I was overreacting by leaving out of the blue when I should’ve just talked to you.”
Clark shook his head. “You were upset and I hadn’t come home. Just promise that wherever you go to be safe then when you’re finally ready to come home I’ll make a better effort to be the boyfriend you deserve.”
You looked into his blue eyes and nodded. That sounded good.
He pecked your lips and then kissed you properly letting the kiss linger. You parted your lips and smiled when he playfully pulled on the bottom of your lip.
This was a little blip in your relationship but hopefully the last, now working towards a better working one. You knew your love for Clark will never die out just as he can never really let you go. At least you know that everything is lining up for the better.

The worst part of being bilingual is that you read something and your mind thinks it was in a certain language, then you spend hours looking for that imagine and only later discover that it was in another language.

Bruce: Commissioner Gordon, I wasn’t expecting a visit this late.
Gordon: My apologies, Bruce, there are some things that I need to talk to you about regarding the Wilson case.
Bruce: No apologies needed, Commissioner. Please, have a seat. Would you like a cup of tea?
Gordon: Tea would be-
Bruce: ?
Gordon:
Bruce: Commissioner?
Gordon:
Bruce: Commissioner Gordon, is everything all right?
Gordon: Bruce, there’s a- there’s a ghost floating down your hallway…
Bruce: [turns to see a sleeping Clark floating horizontally out of his bedroom, wrapped up in his blanket]
Bruce: Oh, that’s just my great-great-granduncle Tom. He’s always haunting this hallway on Thursdays. It’s his weekly chess game, and he never got over that one loss. Poor Uncle Tom…
Gordon:
Bruce: Alfred, why don’t you go and see if Uncle Tom can be persuaded to haunt another hallway instead?
Alfred: Right away, Master Bruce.

I absolutely LOVE the fact that Bruce and Ollie HATE their best friends spouses. Oliver cannot stand Barry while Bruce Bat-Glares at Hal whenever they're in the same room. Leading up to the wedding, Ollie and Bruce who are both their buddies respective best man, are trying to convince their friend to leave.
Ollie throws Hal a bachelor party with exclusively blonde entertainment. Male and female. The bartenders are all blondes. He's hoping that Hal will find literally ANY other blonde to shack up with, as long as he doesnt have to deal with BARRY FUCKING ALLEN.
Bruce tries a different, slightly classier, slightly less legal means if breaking them up. Bribery. He approaches Hal after a League meeting and pulls him aside.
Bruce: fifty thousand right now, in your pocket, if you break up with Barry.
Hal, dumb as fuck bless his soul: Why would I break up with Barry for fifty thousand dollars?
Clark and Dinah are both annoyed at their partners for being so immature. Bruce is ready to break his no kill rule just to get Hal away from his mystery movie marathon buddy and Clark intercepts all of his plans.
Bruce: People die of food poisoning all the time, nobody would think twice.
Clark: If you kill Barry's soulmate with bad chicken, I will sic the entire Daily Planet investigative journalist team on you. No secret Bruce Wayne has ever had will be safe.
Bruce:😠
Ollie tries getting Hal to leave Barry.
Ollie: Are you sure you want to Marry BARRY of all people? He's bossy, he's a shut in, he's-
Dinah, fed the fuck up: He's smart, he's got a good career, he understands that being green lantern takes up a lot of your time, he's cute.
Hal: I know, he's so amazing 😍
Ollie, trying not to barf: 🤢
The day of the wedding they both dial it up to eleven. Bruce is in Barry's space helping him get ready but the whole time he's very supportive of the idea of leaving.
Bruce: I'm just saying, there is NOTHING wrong with not being sure, if you need more time to think, we can leave right now. I'll have Alfred drive us to the airport right now and we'll go eat our way through Europe, no questions asked.
Alfred, who is very much looking forward to this wedding: No I will not.
Jay, about to walk Barry down the aisle:😡
After they get through the wedding and have been together for a while, Bruce still kinda pushes for a break up.
Clark: Barry's birthday is coming up, what are you getting him?
Bruce, not looking up from his newspaper: a divorce attorney.
Alfred, reaching over and smacking him.
Bruce, after a long suffering sigh: and a new microscope for his lab. He's been wanting one.
Then Wally comes along and all attempts stop because Bruce and Ollie are not going to be the ones to break up a family.

The Ghost King is my Uncle Drabbles
A/N: The original this sorta ties too: Original One Shot
>>Masterpost
Shovel Talks
Constantine swore up a storm of course only mentally. It wasn't like he was going to voice any of his thoughts right now. Not when he was faced with the good damn Ghost King. All he wanted was to summon one of his contracted demons to gather some information and what did he get the fucking Ghost King.
"Trench coat! We meet again. You worked on your manners, I hope?"
"Of course your majesty." Well he didn't but he avoided the freaking bats like crazy.
"Well I gotta thank you. Well you and my In-Law that's busy and asked me to substitute for your call since we meet and before and so on." The Ghost King casually waved his hand in a dismissive manner before looking around with his eyes sparkling in recognition and it sent a shudder down Constantine's back. "You are giving me the perfect opportunity."
Did… did the Ghost King just pull out a green glowing sword from a fucking portal and why did he have that glint in his eyes? Constantine paled. Why did this have to happen to him?
"If you will excuse me for a moment. I need to look for a Kryptonian real quick. I will deal with your problem right after. Promise."
With that the Ghost King phased through the floor apparently in search of Superman who just happened to be in the watchtower today. Fuck. Constantine run out of the room in mild panic and pushed whoever was on communication aside as he dialed for the bats. The moment someone on their end pick up he didn't bother to explain anything and just shouted for one of them to get their fucking ass here as fast as possible or superman was going to be history!
Okay that might also have sent the people witnessing his panic into chaos but this was a fucking emergency.
It was only minutes later that Batman did indeed arrived together with Nightwing and Red Robin with the Zeta-Tube at the watchtower to bear witness to Superman getting cornered by the Ghost King with Constantine bound by echo-bindings for apparently having annoyed the Ghost King with his pleading to spare the Kryptonian.
"Now I am sure I don't have to repeat myself but, IF you ever hurt Baby Bat a fate way worse than the Soul Shredder and the Nightmare Realm will be the least of your problems. The last guy that hurt my family is still in there and I will gladly make you permanently join him."
A cough resounded and Danny turned his head, a bright smile on his face as he spotted his little nephew and two of the little babies.
"Baby Bat, Baby Menace and Baby Stalker! I will be done in a little bit!"
"Ghost Ki-"
"Uncle Danny."
Batman let out a suffering sigh as Nightwing and Red Robin snickered.
"Uncle Danny. Why are you threatening Superman?"
"Because Jazz forbade me to use the Soul Shredder on humans but Superman is not human so I am allowed to use it on him."
"Uncle Danny, why do you want to use the 'Soul Shredder'" -as a joke Nightwing used air quotes- "on the him in the first place?"
"Shovel talk."
Batman chocked and Red Robin spluttered as Nightwing had a hard time suppressing a laugh. Constantine and Superman gapped at the Ghost King.
"You… are threading him for shovel talk purposes? What even is the nightmare realm?"
"A place you don't want to be in. Very traumatic and perfect to externally punish anyone that hurts my family in any regard as long as I am allowed to dump them there."
There was an added barely hearable grumble of "I would have sent the Joker and Ra's in there long ago if Clockwork weren't such a stick in the mud about keeping the timeline straight and their roles and bla bla bla."
Red Robin did a double take. Did the Ghost King just admit that he would have liked to sent their rogues into a place that was most likely hell? Wait didn't he mention sending someone in there permanently earlier.
No one noticed Superman slowly inching away from the blade still pointed at him while the Ghost King's attention wasn't on him. Well the bats noticed but didn't react to it, deeming it safer for the Super.
"Uh you said you dumped someone permanently in there?" Red Robin tried to keep the attention on them.
"Well yea." The Ghost King casually shrugged, adjusting the blade so Superman could no longer inch away from him. "I looked away from the Ice Mirrors for a week and someone dared to hurt Moma Bat. Of course I was enraged and snatched that guy off the street to permanently drop him in there."
There was a beat of heavy silence. Batman under his cowl bluescreened especially with how casually Danny just admitted at having snatched up his parents murderer to punish the man. Well that explained why he never found the culprit.
"Now If you excuse me little Babies I am gonna finish this talk with the Kryptonian and make sure he knows what will happen if he hurts Baby Bat."
With this the Ghost King turned back to the rapidly paling Superman with a feral grin. The Birds sweat dropped as Batman was still not mentally present, his mind still working through the information.
"Think I would be able to borrow that sword?" Red Robin suddenly asked as Nightwing eyed Batman worringly. "He only said that Great Grandma forbade him to use it on humans. He never said we couldn't."
"Don't let Robin or Hood hear that." Nightwing said, even if he wanted to borrow it himself too. With B mentally still checked out he had to act as the responsible one. That wouldn't stop him from asking their Ghost Uncle later if he could borrow the sword anyway.

how about 13 for superbat? // definitely not @tickle-bugs in a trenchcoat and sunglasses
“Don’t laugh while I’m trying to talk to you!” Bruce growled, the corner of his mouth twitching up without his permission as Clark burst into another peel of deep belly laughter.
"I--I ca-haha-can't help it!" Clark protested, arms cross tightly across his chest as he tried to block as much skin as possible from Bruce's wandering fingers.
"Did you tell Diana about me?!" Bruce demanded, latching onto Clark's hips and squeezing as fast as he could.
"Nohohohohoho!"
"No, you didn't tell her? Or no? Don't tickle you?"
"Both! Both! Bru-hahaha-Bruce!"
"Hngh." Bruce continued his palpitations, intimately aware that if Clark really wanted to put a stop to this he could.
"I sw-hahaha-swear I didn't!"
"Then how does she know?!" That voice has caused more than one criminal to wet their pants in fear, but Clark simply threw his head back and laughed harder.
"Ma-hah-maybe she--" Clark broke off into a squeal when Bruce dragged his nails across the thin skin between his hipbones. Bruce zeroed in on the spot, but Clark was cheating and using his powers to block his access. "Maybe she sees through your tough-guy schtick." Clark panted, finally able to catch his breath now that he was pushing Bruce's hands away in earnest.
"You think this is all an act?" Bruce asked, his voice dangerously quiet as his eyes bore into Clark's.
"Face it, B. You're a big softy, and we all know it." Clark was smirking at him, and Bruce was going to make him pay dearly for it.
Bruce pulled his hands away, cracked his knuckles, and smirked. Clark's eyes widened, but before he could decide on a course of action Bruce threw himself down onto Clark's shins, got his ankles into a headlock, and proceeded to go to town on the soles of his feet.
"Wa-hahahaha-wait!" Clark cackled, collapsing backwards are Bruce clawed at the sensitive skin. "Wait! I ta-hahaha-ke it ba-hahaha-ck!"
"I'll show you soft." Bruce growled, smirking as he fluttered quick fingers under Clark's toes, hanging on for dear life as he started thrashing beneath him.

24. superbat. this motherfucker JUST got to bed if any of u assholes wake him UP
24. Protecting your lover’s sleep as they doze on your lap, making sure nobody bothers them as they entrusted their peace to you. thinking about.... jlas superbat. i may not have followed this prompt to the letter but its very long so you get what you get at this point
It was just one of those days- one of those nights- one of those weeks- where one problem shifted right into the next without break, and they all found themselves running more ragged than usual. In the tower, heroes everywhere seemed sluggish and exhausted, running low on sleep and worn out from the last battle. Diana had tipped onto a couch and hadn't gotten back up again, and Wally had nearly passed out in the cafeteria, starting awake and drifting off again in the middle of a burger. After being pried away from the monitors, J'onn had gone straight to his room to sleep, and there were countless others who had followed his example.
Bruce was too stubborn. Clark was reasonably sure he'd been awake longer than anyone, but Clark could still see him typing away, doing god even knew what.
"I'll sleep when I finish," he said, before Clark had even said anything.
"I wasn't going to tell you to sleep," Clark said, taking that as his cue to approach.
"Yes, you were."
"I know better." Clark set a hand on the back of Bruce's chair, glancing briefly over the monitors. Logs, security feed, news reports- all of it a huge mess of information to sort through. Someone had to do it, but that someone didn't need to be Bruce.
Bruce looked tired. His shoulders sagged and his fingers hesitated, slow on the keys. He'd been drooping all day, attacking everything with the energy of a man on his very last leg. He'd sustained too many injuries during the fight. He'd been slow, and sloppy. He needed to sleep, but he'd never let Clark talk him into it if Clark let on that that was what he was doing.
"Can you do all this from anywhere?" Clark asked.
Bruce blinked slowly. "Not from anywhere."
"But from another computer."
"Yes. I have others."
"A laptop?"
"Yes." Bruce was eyeing him with suspicion, now, leaning back in his chair.
"Then you're doing it from there," Clark decided. "You can burn your retinas to your heart's content- I won't stop you. But I need company."
For a long moment, Bruce looked at him. Clark could practically hear the gears turning as he thought it over, taking longer to consider it than he usually would in his exhaustion. Then, finally, his gaze softened. He sighed, slumping back in his chair and rubbing his hands over his face. "Just don't watch one of your stupid cooking shows while I work."
"They're not stupid," Clark protested.
"Whatever." Bruce waved a hand, pushing himself up out of the chair. He hit a few more buttons, and the monitors condensed into the smallest screen, allowing Bruce to pull it off of its docking station. "Lead the way."
The tower had grown quiet and still with sleeping heroes. With his hearing, Clark could hear Booster and Ted's laughter from the cafeteria, but everywhere else had turned muffled and heavy with the air of sleep. People murmured back and forth to avoid waking up sleeping heroes in the commons, and most of the sleeping quarters were occupied. Somewhere, Wally got ready to portal home, while somewhere else, Oliver snored loudly. No one passed them on their way to Clark's room.
It was easy to get stuck on the fringes of his senses, listening to everything instead of whatever was closest. The need to keep an ear out for danger hadn't quite abided yet, and it left Clark feeling unmoored and anxious. Normally, it was a nuisance, but maybe this time it'd keep him awake long enough that Bruce would sleep first.
It was almost too easy to pile on his couch with Bruce. Normally, any attempt at getting Bruce to accept even a mediocrum of comfort resulted in a fight, but he sat without prompting, eyes never leaving his tablet. He didn't complain when Clark flopped down with a heap of blankets, even when Clark twisted to lean against the arm, swinging his legs across Bruce's lap. Somehow, they settled in like that; Bruce, on his tablet, and Clark, half-watching some nature show that was interesting enough, but not so interesting that it offended Bruce's sensibilities.
As the narrator droned on, Clark struggled to narrow in his focus. The lights from the TV flickered colors across the dark room, and it felt so quiet, surrounded by the suffocating vacuum of space. If he strained hard enough, he knew he could hear Earth, but he tried not to. He could feel each individual fiber of each blanket, and each snore in the building. The tap of Bruce's finger against the screen of his tablet felt obscenely loud. The constant shifting of his attention and the overwhelming amount of stimulus was exhausting, and he could feel himself sagging under it, so worn out that it was hard to hear the words coming from the TV. He rubbed his face, running through grounding exercises in his head to no avail. He wasn't sleeping, at least.
Bruce's hand came to rest on his knee. The pressure of it was enough to shock Clark out of his thoughts, but light, and gentle. Bruce hadn't looked up from his tablet, but his thumb tracked back and forth absently.
Slowly, Clark relaxed back into the couch again. His eyes fixed on the TV, but without really registering the pictures. He couldn't feel every fiber in the blankets, or hear every snore, but he was suddenly hyper-aware of that weight on his knee- a single point of focus that he locked on helplessly. It wasn't constant- every now and again, Bruce lifted his hand to tap the screen- but it always returned. Somehow, that caught Clark's attention more, leaving him waiting, expectant, caught on every detail of Bruce. The bracing warmth of Bruce's legs under his own, the vaguely ticklish stroke of his thumb, his breathing, steady and slow. Out of habit more than anything, he found Bruce's heartbeat, listening to the low thump of it until it felt like his own had slowed in turn. The familiarity of it was soothing, safe, protected, the reliability of the Batman unexpectedly grounding after so long.
His head slipped off his hand, and he started, eyes opening. He hadn't realized he'd closed them.
"Seems like I'm not the only one trying to stay up," Bruce commented.
"I'm not," Clark said. Although, maybe he was. He frowned through the haze of exhaustion, trying to focus on the TV.
"The life and death of a sea star are just that riveting," Bruce said, teasing under the deadpan.
"Shut up," Clark muttered, and shifted again, re-propping up his elbow on the arm of the couch.
It was difficult to understand how Bruce stayed awake. Without the cowl, the bags under his eyes were dark and deep, his expression something beyond exhausted. And yet, even now, wrapped up in blankets and secluded in the quiet comfort of Clark's room, listening to the soothing drone of a documentary, he tapped at that stupid tablet. Clark was beginning to doubt his ability to outlast him. The restless discomfort that had kept him awake earlier- his ace in the hole against Bruce's stubbornness- was fading into a sleepy warmth all too quickly.
And then, Bruce started to hum.
Clark could count on the fingers of one hand how many times he'd heard Bruce sing. Diana had once told him that Bruce had a voice so beautiful it could make a villain weep, but Clark had only ever heard it rarely, and never meant for him. It was a quiet lullaby, murmured to a baby that wouldn't stop crying as Clark searched for the mother, or a hum, pressed against Robin's hair in the aftermath of fear toxin. It had always felt like something he wasn't meant to hear. Now, through the ridiculous fog of exhaustion, Clark thought of sirens, calling soothingly to sailors from a distance.
Bruce's humming was soft and low, just under his breath. The tune was impossible to place, but haunting, and mournful. The sound of it seemed to vibrate through Clark, blanketing his senses until all he could focus on was just Bruce. Bruce was warm. He was safe, and close, and so confusingly present, as reliable as the tide. Time seemed to turn fluid, listening to that soft song, and Clark's eyes closed without his permission, just listening.
When Clark next opened his eyes, it was dark. The TV was off, Bruce's tablet forgotten somewhere in the tangle of blankets. His neck should've ached from the arm of the couch, but his head was on the cushions, propped up by a pillow. How Bruce had pulled that off without waking him, he had no idea.
Bruce was a warm weight against his chest, breathing slow. Judging by the awkward positioning, Clark doubted he'd meant to fall asleep, knees still jammed under Clark's own and cape still on. One of his hands was tucked against Clark's side, his face hidden between his own shoulder and Clark's sternum. It was... sweet, really. To have Bruce feel comfortable enough to sleep was a unique privilege, and one rarely afforded.
Clark hadn't outlasted him, in the end. But Bruce was sleeping, and as Clark let his eyes drift shut again, he allowed himself to consider it a win.
